This really has to be said.

A few days ago I checked out the pilot for Nick's upcoming show, Rock Paper Scissors. It wasn't a bad show, it has it's faults yes but I certainly wouldn't call it the worst cartoon ever. However there are people on the internet whining on how nick has "lost its creativity" but however you realise how hypocritical it is when the cartoon community holds animated shows with absurd premises and themes in such high regard. Gumball, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, SpongeBob, etc. The show is actually pretty funny and I'd say check some clips out on Nick's YT channel, because remember, never judge a book by its cover.

Ok so here's what I think what games clone high charecters would play.

Abe: pretty average taste. Dosent own a gaming system but will play games at friends houses, laughs at how bad he is.

Gandhi: definitely enjoys weirder games with a sense of humor. I imagine he'd probably recommend people games like Conker's Bad Fur Day or Earthworm Jim.

JFK: likes to play adventure games occasionally, but mostly sticks to sports games.

Joan of Ark: Enjoys more artsy games. I can see her being really into Metal Gear Solid honestly. She'll probably chew your ear off about the messages and themes of RPGS. Hates how most of the gaming community dosen't understand that most games were always "political" or "woke"

Cleopatra: isn't into video games but always listens to her partners talk about them.

Topher Bus: loves cartoony video games with deep lore. Kirby, Sonic, Mario (but mostly the RPGS) Kingdom Hearts, Zelda, ETC. will lecture anybody who even remotely cares about it. Will consider it a disgrace if you call them "kids games" and will talk about how messed up certain aspects of the games can get.

Confucius: Fortnite gamer all the way babeyyy. Spends most of his rich parents money on cosmetics.

Harriet Tubman: plays "relaxing" games like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Harvest Moon, or the Sims but in actuality stresses her out.

Frida Kahlo: plays mostly FPS games, thinks that getting on to Call of Duty is the most relaxing thing ever but she always plays with Mike off. Also is really into Halo and Doom.

Principal Scudworth: only references video games to relate to the clones, but played Mario Kart 64, Mario Party 1-3 and Goldeneye 007 in his frat boy days.

Candide Sampson: considers Video Games a waste of time, same with any peice of entertainment

Day 289: GM Camouf (MS Igloo 603)

I was telling my friends about GMs today, and we got to talking about the GMs that Zeon used. The GM camouf is my favorite! A Zeon machine (that reminds me a little too much of the Zudah) that is designed to look like a Federation GM. It worked so well that it got blown up by Zaku’s upon returning from it’s mission. And it got to keep it’s sick monoeye! Good GM, this one!

Day Twenty-Five

Sometimes, returning to school after an absence is full of annoyances, but this time it was easy. My colleagues subbed for me, so my students reported to their classrooms, meaning mine wasn't left a mess. And, since I'd gotten my grading done while I was home yesterday, all I had to do today was set up. So I updated my whiteboards, double-checked my grading, and had the remainder of my prep time to do some lesson planning for the future. Oh, and I had a chat with The Principal when he stopped by. Amusingly, we were both dressed "country" for today's spirit theme of "country vs country club," and that made a serious conversation about my department seem far less serious.

In Global Studies, I went over the work students did while I was absent, and we discussed the big ideas their assignments were about: conflict, migration, asylum-seeking. I also showed 4.1 Miles to drive home the point that refugee journeys are often dangerous- and often undertaken by kids their age or younger- and, once we'd discussed the film, I had them start thinking about how to resolve the issues driving people to flee their homes (tagging my next lesson there). The conversations got richer as the day went on; the first one was derailed slightly by a student who kept saying that 4.1 Miles was "too long" (note: it's twenty-one minutes, so insert commentary on attention spans here). I got it back on track, but I think I could've done better.

In APGOV, my students had the discussion they would have had yesterday if I hadn't been sick: all about Fed. 10 and Fed. 51. I could tell a lot of them were nervous about it- and especially about volunteering answers- but once they got started, the conversation rolled and gained momentum. I interjected a few times, but mostly left the speaking to them. And, in the end, they talked through all of Madison's main ideas- which I summarized on the board in note form afterwards- and I was so proud of them for doing it. I'll reiterate that tomorrow, too.

I had a leadership team meeting in the afternoon, most of which was spent discussing upcoming events: school-wide community service, parent-teacher conferences, state testing... October is a busy month! Still, we managed to get through the whole agenda in under an hour, and then I went back to my classroom to get some materials ready for tomorrow. I left shortly after 5, but I'm still kind of getting ready for tomorrow since I'm watching the vice presidential debate. That'll be what we start with in GOV.
