Boston Fan Expo!!

Been a hectic time since I got back to the UK. Finally posting my goodies from the con - thank you so much to everyone for the little gifts, and especially WitchyBindery for the hand bound copy of Gethen!

Aside from my copy of Adapt. Evolve. Become, I also FINALLY got Hugh to sign my poster of Adam Towers by @pangaeastarseed - I commissioned it in 2018 and now it's back up on the wall next to my signed Elias (also by Pan!) - I also gifted postcards of both arts to Hugh :3

this is embarrassingly late but I was tagged by @pangaeastarseed and iirc @babycupart (who tagged my main) for this and I legitimately waited because the last song I had heard was decidedly uncool and I was waiting for a better one to come up to fulfill this ... anyways here we go!

3 ships you like: for DS9 it's gonna be most Dukat stuff just because I like rare/absurd ships. I legit went into the series ready to be indoctrinated into Garashir for the popular ship privilege, but true to form I grew attached to the gnarliest gremlin-souled reptile of the series and now I kinda love Garak/Dukat and Sisko/Dukat. Intendant Kira/Dukat would probably round out that group!

First ship ever: Yamato/Mimi from Digimon, though I turned into a Sorato shipper real fast hahahahahahah (iykyk)

Last song you heard: fml legitimately forgot I was doing this so now it's S Club 7's Say Goodbye because I was doing a wikipedia deep dive

Favorite childhood book: On the Banks of Plum Creek by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I am aware that the series and LIW is problematic in a lot of ways, but man did that book truly capture the devastation of having a beloved stuffed animal forcefully given away. Plus some petty mean girl gets served catharsis via Nellie Olsen.

1.Are you named after anyone? Not after a person no, but my middle name (I found out a few years back) is the name of the place I was likely conceived (really didn't need that info lol)

2.When was the last time you cried? Not really sure. I don't tend to have full on cries, I might get a bit misty-eyed here and there.

3.Do you have kids? Yes, one seven year old going on 47.

4. What sports do you play/have played? What is "sports"?

5.Do you use sarcasm? Nooooo (/sarcasm)

6. What's the first thing you notice about people? Facial expressions/openness

7. What's your eye colour? Blue-Grey

8. Scary movies or happy endings? HORROROROROROR

9. Any talents? Writing, public speaking, diplomacy.

11. What are your hobbies? Reading (including audiobooks), writing, drawing, this one merge game on my phone

12. Do you have any pets? Technically no, we have a family cat from when we all lived together in the pandemic, but he's stayed at my parent's house the other side of the village.

no. but it was decided for me to have an international name - both parents have names that don't 'travel' well in english.

biology consultation in high school. first and last real cry

no. would rather adopt than have them

not really, only in a joking way

everything all at once, nothing in particular jumps out
