And the pairing didn't get together at the end of it or "realise their true feelings" afterwards?

In fact it actually helped them to realise that they work better platonically and they like each other more as friends?

Fr though, I'm really glad that we're four seasons into a series with two prominent m/f friendships in a franchise which has handled straight pairings really badly in the past (Worf/Troi, Chakotay/Seven, etc), and the series has just... refused to ship those involved or try to force any romantic tension. It's a breath of fresh air.

Yeah my best friend just graduated and accidentally adopted 400 tadpoles. A frog laid them in a bucket at her house, so they made a "pond" to grow up in, rather than die in the bucket.

They all got sick. So she spent all her time hand feeding tadpoles and adjusting water parameters to try and get them to pull through. Sadly most didn’t make it (expected with the virus), but now some are frogs!

She also chased a skink around a doctors reception desk, and took it outside chilling on her hand.

And don't get me started on toilet spider...

Yeah vet is insane.

My brother in law recently became a veterinarian and it has really driven the point home as to how fucking bonkers veterinary medicine is. We don't expect human physicians to really know much outside of their own specialty - a dentist, an otolaryngologist, and a maxillofacial surgeon are three totally different dudes. Meanwhile a veterinarian at a wildlife rehab center is doing orthopedic surgery on a hawk and then doing rounds on baby hedgehogs in the hedgehog NICU and administering antibiotics to a ratsnake. And he also knows how to perform surgical interventions on a cow! What the fuck! Those are all totally, wildly different kinds of animal!!

Shout out to veterinarians, they know Too Much.
