Breaking down my headcanons/interpretations of the ninja’s relationships:

Jay and Nya: they dated s1-s3, friends after that and later developed into a qpr. Jay had a crush on her pilot-s3/4ish when Nya realized she was aromantic. She enjoyed spending time with him and affection but the whole love triangle debacle helped her realize she doesn’t love anyone like that. Jay needed some time to get over his feelings so things were stilted for a bit but they were still friends. Nya found herself missing some of what they had before around s9 and they settled into a qpr not long after that.

Cole and Nya: pals. Cole is a giver, he enjoys and prides himself on supporting others. Nya didn’t get a lot of emotional support growing up so they tend to fall towards each other. Their side of the love triangle was Nya struggling with comphet and Cole largely being clueless with a little “messing with Jay” on top. Cole figured out he was gay and aspec before the pilot, and was the one to tell Nya about aromanticism. They talked a lot out together, Nya landing on aroace and introducing Cole to his label (grayromantic (his full identity is gay grayromantic asexual)) during her research. They’re close and are who each other go to when they’re going through something.

Kai and Nya: siblings of the “no one gets to bully my ______ except me” variety. They really rely on each other when it comes down to it. They don’t spend too much time one-on-one nowadays because they have a larger support system now, but they’re each other’s core and always will be.

Zane and Nya: probably the most conventional friendship either of them have. They’re close, they matter to each other, they’re good at reassuring one another, but they’re just friends. Except that Kai and Zane are a thing, then Zane’s the in-law Nya likes better than her own brother.

Lloyd and Nya: siblings. Evolution from “if I have to watch this child for ten more minutes I will throw him into a wall” to “lowkey my best friend but I’ll sooner throw you into a wall before saying it to your face” on Nya’s side. “She’s so cool” to “we’re so cool” on Lloyd’s side. Classic younger sibling idolizing their older sibling. The love each other so much but Kai was their only real model for affection so it manifests exclusively in hair ruffles, shoulder punches, and the occasional motivational speech.

Pixal and Nya: bffs. They don’t talk a ton but they trust each other with their lives and that’s good enough for them. They work in amicable silence most of the time, 90% of their dialogue is affectionately roasting the others.

Jay and Cole: guys being dudes being bros being boyfriends. They teeter the line of /p and /r, and no one knows for sure except Nya until like… s10, everyone else is too embarrassed to ask at this point. Some paparazzi took a picture of them kissing so that kinda blew their whole schtick with the gang, but the still mostly deny it publicly. They’re the “you’re my whole world, bro” meme. They are snarky bffs first and romantic partners second, as it should be.

Jay and Kai: not actually dating but fluctuate between flirting and bickering enough that people get confused. They don’t clarify anything because they think it’s funny and their boyfriends agree.

Jay and Zane: bffs. Jay often recruits Zane to be a part of his pranks or bounce ideas off of for his creations. They info dump to each other regularly and watch a ton of movies together. Basically qprs but have never made it official and don’t feel the need to.

Jay and Lloyd: brothers that steal each other’s comic books. They annoy each other to death and are 10x as unbearable when around each other, unclear whether or not it’s planned. Surprisingly protective of each other when it comes down to it.

Jay and Pixal: friends. Jay thinks she’s amazing and Pixal appreciates his cleverness that usually goes under everyone else’s radar. They don’t usually work together because their styles clash but they really value each other’s strengths and ideas. They occasionally have brainstorming sessions together and no one sees them for the next five days.

Cole and Kai: ambiguously romantic. They don’t call each other their boyfriends unless it’s for a joke but their respective boyfriends ship it. They’re a “thing” starting in or shortly after s10. They care very deeply about each other but are pretty casual about it.

Cole and Zane: guys being dudes being pals. They’re platonic but pretty physically affectionate with each other. They don’t talk a ton just the two of them but lean on each other regularly (literally). Their friendship is a soft and quiet one. As many, if not more, casual “I love you”s between the two of them than any of the actual romantic relationships. They are friends, your honor. They also like to tease their boyfriends together.

Cole and Lloyd: brothers of the more understated but just as earnest “I’m proud of you, kid” variety. That dynamic where they’d love to be closer but the age gap never really gave them the opportunity (just vibes, Cole and Kai are the same age, lol). The love each other in a way conveyed through supportive gazes more than words. They trust each other to take care of themselves but look out for each other regardless. Every now and then they spontaneously break out the “I have never seen that man in my life, your honor” energy and it catches everyone not in the family off guard.

Cole and Pixal: insane mutual respect. Cole has next to no understanding of machinery but he’s good at and willing to follow instructions and Pixal appreciates that in a man. They are friends. I’m running out of steam lol.

Kai and Zane: for as much as Kai flirts, he’s rather private with his actual relationships. They were a “Thing” starting in s3 but didn’t tell anyone except Lloyd, Pixal, and later Nya for a while. There wasn’t a specific moment where they leveled up to officially dating (idk, maybe in the year between s7 and s8?), but they were more open about it when Kai and Cole got together. They’re pretty understated unless playing it up to annoy someone. They love each other and convey it through looks and acts and physical affection more than words. They’re that couple that can convey paragraphs of information with 2 seconds of eye contact.

Kai and Lloyd: brothers of the “I got you, pipsqueak” variety, canon and real.

Kai and Pixal: friends who fluctuate between pretending to hate each other and flirting like there’s no tomorrow. They play-argue a ton but it’s all in good fun. Kai flirts with literally everyone, but Pixal matches his energy and they just run with it, it drives Zane insane /affectionate.

Zane and Lloyd: siblings of the “put on your seatbelt” “no” *reads entire handbook full of statistics on why seatbelts are lifesaving* variety. Need I say more?

Zane and Pixal: dating since s3. Everyone knows they’re together but they aren’t very public about it. Neither of them are very verbally affectionate so people who don’t know them well think they’re arguing or just don’t like each other but they love each other very much.

Lloyd and Pixal: pals. They really appreciate and rely on one another. It’s not very acknowledged but they both know how much they need the other and it’s very wholesome. They literally never talk about it but they would die for each other.

All this was spontaneous brain spew so it’s probably not very cohesive but have at it, hope you enjoyed :D

Jay x Nya: best ship!!!

Zane x Pixal: they are soulmates and no one can say otherwise.

Kai x Skylor: the two of them balance each other well, plus seeing Kai get all lovey-dovey around Skylor is just cute.

Lloyd x Akita: Akita likes Lloyd for himself and isn’t interested in his status as the Green Ninja, she just might be the one person he could be with without having to worry about keeping up appearances.

Cole x Vania: they’re just great together (as lovers or as friends), their dynamic is sweet and both admire and encourage each other with just simple honest words.

Fun fact, I used to hate Jaya. I thought it was really forced in the canon, and Jay's really obsessive behavior that is the catalyst for all of the events in Skybound always really bothered me? But tumblr has completely turned me around on this ship. They have their moments in canon, but in fanon they're really wonderful. thanks tumblr <3

these two...... 🥺they are really good i will admit. I'm a big fan of glaciershipping myself and I tend to prefer it over pixane, but these two are so lovely to each other and i totally see the appeal. I just wish pixal wasn't so sidelined in the canon fr what were they doing with her character??? let her be around more often let her and zane be sweet together. please smh

SKYLOR ALSO HAS NOTHING TO DO MOST OF THE TIME-- honestly this show sidelines like all of its female characters so hard. but these two are great toooo theyre sweeeet 😊 i just wish skylor was used for more than cameos. i like that she's the only one that can consistently shake kai's ego it's a great dynamic

lloyd and akita!! i'm gonna be so real with you guys i forget about akita so often ;v; which is a shame... i give her the award for most sidelined female character because she existed for half a season. but she and lloyd are sweet! I don't tend to ship lloyd with anyone personally, but i do love that they meet under the circumstances of "lloyd is in a world where his name and status mean nothing so he has no pressure to perform". it's a fantastic break for him. holy shit he deserves it

im gonna be so honest with all of you um. i actually. havent seen MotM yet. i was in the middle of my rewatch, and i got up to the point i stopped, right before MotM, and then Netflix changed their watch policies. and then of course i got busy

but from what i've seen of these two in fanon they seem alright! I usually prefer them in other wlw or mlm ships because of ONE ninjago vine compliation thing i saw with the two of them as this one tiktok and i've never been able to think of them as a couple since then. But they seem like they have a lovely friendship, whether that ends up turning to romance or not!

Royal AU Zane and Pixel

My wonderful robot children whom I love and adore!

Okay, so I was not expecting these designs to come out HALF as good as I think they did! I've never drawn Pixel or braids before and lord have mercy I had way too much fun with both. I debated changing Zane's hair but I honestly had no ideas for it so I kept his hair the same.

Also since this is an old-fashioned royal AU I didn't really think robots would exist so instead I clearly gave them prosthetic limbs. I gave them both two very different styles since Dr. Julien and Cyrus Borge are different people and therefore would most likely have different design techniques.

Anyway they act like siblings and they absolutely love harassing each other, but they're also both really smart, and if you see them plotting together RUN cause otherwise, they will involve you in it without you even noticing. In conclusion, I love these smart morons!

The fic itself: All That We Can Give

Oh you want hot buff lady? Well I am VERY happy to oblige because I like hot buff ladies too!

So from the first time Nya came on screen I immediately got "Chill tall girl energy" and I just love her so much. I love that fact that she's constantly saving the guy's sorry asses and they're just like "Sorry Nya". And you can NOT tell me this gal ain't buff as hell, like she saw everyone else training and she was like "gimme a piece of that!"

I love her dynamic with Kai it's just so sweet and her relationship with Jay is the epitome of "Tall girlfriend/short boyfriend" and also "Two very ADHD goblins but in very different ways" though Idk if I ship it but I don't have any major problem with it, though her and Pixel might have been cute idk. (Also lets be honest with ourselves Cole and Nya were literally never gonna happen but I do think that she taught him how to do eyeliner).

I feel as if I should mention that Ninjago does indeed pass the Bechdel test because her and Pixel talk mechanics a lot and she also talks to Skylor multiple times about a variety of things! So yeah bet y'all weren't expecting that one!  

Anyhow as for her outfit I went with a very tech-wear aesthetic because I just though it fit, I threw her ninja symbol fucking everywhere and I had so much  fun with her shoes. I don't think she would wear this while working or anything, more like an out on the town ordeal or just generally when she doesn't have to get her hands dirty.

In conclusion I love Nya she carries literally and figuratively!

Splintered Ice

Oneshot – (FFN) (AO3)

Summary:

For all intents and purposes, the Ice Emperor is dead. However, his ghost remains, in icy joints and frosted eyes. How can Zane trust himself not to become him again? How can he heal? How could anyone begin to forgive him?

Ice cracks. It splinters. It shatters. Zane shivered; every movement, punctuated by the sound of fractures. What was it like to move freely- to not be frozen to his seat? To feel human, instead of frozen? To feel alive…

Crack, crack, crack, snap. The cold anthem of his existence. An orchestra of fractured glass. Horrible, beautiful.

Everything was white and gray. What did color look like, again? His mind was sluggish. No matter where he looked, the world was hidden by a panel of frosted glass, shielded from his tyranny. Maybe it was better that way.

The door creaked open, and Zane's frosted eyes slowly panned to it. He started, edging away as Pixal approached him with a plate of hot food and a sympathetic smile. Whatever she was saying was lost to his ears; he backed away, trying to tell her to flee. What if she froze? What if there was no way for Kai to thaw her? What if he controlled her?

No sound escaped his throat; only the sound of cracking ice. Pixal smiled gently and nodded; she gave him space but stayed in the room. How foolish. Zane shivered violently, snowflakes falling from his hair. Why wouldn't she leave? Didn't she value her safety?

Logically, Zane already knew the answer. She was a nindroid, like him. She believed he wasn't a threat. But what if he was? What if she was wrong?

Something clinked loudly on the ground; an icicle, falling from his hand and joining the pile below.

Was it just Zane, or did it feel like the world was tilting off its axis? He leaned on his hands, trying to support himself as the world spun out of order. What was happening to him? The warmth of the sun streaming through the window felt far-away, glinting off his metal in a painful glare on the permafrost.

Pixal shielded her eyes, and Zane felt pure, unadulterated guilt. It swelled up in his stomach, hot and painful and unnatural. He hated it. How could he let this happen?

Zane hugged himself tightly, attention turning inward. Maybe he deserved this, as punishment for freezing the Never Realm and all its people. Because he believed Vex. Maybe he deserved this for so blindly thinking he could safely reboot that accursed mech. It- it was all his fault, anyway! If he hadn't dragged it into that cave, or hadn't tried to fix it, or had looked around before he interfaced with it, or had backed up his memories again, or had just thought twice about what Vex said, this wouldn't be happening!

He heard a muffled voice, murmuring comforting words, but he knew he didn't deserve them. Pixal was always so compassionate. Too compassionate for a slow, outdated droid like him. An old operating system in a new body- a relic, whose only value was his power source.

Was he always like this? Maybe the veil had just been lifted away, showing the true horror of his nature– his inhumanity, finally on display for an entire world to see. It was all he could do to afford himself the mercy of gratitude that it wasn't Ninjago that saw his awful nature. They used to know him as a beacon of justice, light, and truth. What was he now? A tyrant? His memory banks were empty of decades of information. What had he done for the past twenty years? Thirty, perhaps? Maybe even forty? All of it was blank, wiped from his mind by the very staff that corrupted him.

Where was that accursed staff, anyway? Had he truly broken it? Even now, he could remember the feeling of it in his grip, heavy and slick. It released hidden power– did it also release hidden intentions? Maybe he had always wanted to rule. He still felt its heavy weight in his hand, cold and cruel.

Zane shivered again, and more snowflakes fell into the food before him. The world had stopped spinning, leaving him feeling numb. The plate of food in front of him was no longer steaming, having its heat sapped by his ice.

The frost over his eyes was thicker, but he saw Pixal, edging closer to him. She put her hand on his, and Zane felt even more numb. She had to know he was going to freeze her, right? Did she really trust him enough not to be afraid? He frowned, unmotivated to correct her mistaken trust. She would see eventually. He remembered so little about her anymore, but he remembered that she would never budge when she chose to do something. She was grounded. He didn't remember being like that, even though he knew he was once. Didn't someone once tell him that time erodes memory and mind alike?

Maybe it would be okay to submit to her affections, just once. Surely it wouldn't hurt her, right? Slowly, he knitted his fingers together with hers, as small chunks of ice splintered from his joints. She held his hand tightly, and murmured in his ear. Zane shook his head, clearing the frozen fog for a moment. He needed to eat; as one of the perks of being Borg's most advanced machine, he ran almost like a person would. Including digestion.

Pixal raised a piece of warm bread to his mouth, and he ate without tasting. The warmth radiated through him, gone too quickly. He ate more, giving her a faint, frostbitten smile. She was too good for him. How did he deserve her care?

The food was gone before Zane realized. When was the last time he had eaten? Either way, the room felt less cold. Stable. Almost like home. With Pixal, anywhere felt like that, he was remembering. He felt safe.

He blinked slowly, watching the frost on his eyes break off as ice and fall. His ears were ringing- weird. Pixal took the dishes and kissed him on the cheek, but he was unable to look at her; as he tried to turn his neck, the sound of ice breaking heralded his effort. Instead, he focused on clearing his mind. A few deep breaths brought a sense of calm, and Zane relaxed a little. He hadn't hurt Pixal. She was safe from him.

A few more bits of ice fell out of his hair, looking akin to diamonds. Zane smiled for a fleeting moment. He would be okay, right?

He sighed. "Okay" was a relative term at best, after all. For now, for his own safety (and more importantly, for everyone else), he would stay isolated. He laid down, looking at the ceiling as tendrils of frost again invaded his vision. Just for now, he would wait…

It wasn't hiding, right?

No, it wasn't. It couldn't be. It was really self-preservation.

Zane smiled faintly, closing his eyes. It was a good idea to stay away, just for a little longer. Even if it meant locked, icy joints. Even if it meant an inability to sit up. Even if it meant disappearing. It was in everyone's best interests. It was a good thing.

Ninjago Ship Thoughts

First and foremost I’m gonna tell you my head-canons for the ninjas sexualities since it’s probably gonna affect my thoughts on the ships.

Cole - Gay - the entire “dad I’m a ninja” is so fucking queercoded so that’s my reasoning.

Kai - Bi - this man primarily flirts with women but he gives strong bisexual energy and I stand by that.

Zane - Pan - I don’t feel like Zane has a strong enough grasp on gender for it to affect who he dates.

Jay - Omni - I feel like he has a preference for women but I feel in my soul that he’s at least had a crush on a guy before.

Nya - Bi - I don’t know if she’s ever had a crush on a girl but a girl has definitely had a crush on her and she would not be opposed to dating a girl.

Pixal - Pan - I feel like she has a better grasp of gender than Zane but gender doesn’t affect who she likes.

All other characters are up in the air for me. I lean towards seeing lloyd as aroace but I’m not certain. Anyway I’m with my thoughts. (These are in no particular order)

(Jaya) Jay/Nya - let’s start with a canon ship! I like how this relationship is portrayed in later seasons and they have some cute moments earlier in the series, but I definitely like there relationship post Nadakhan the best (I’ve butchered the genies name I know it) Jaya is sweet and I’m happy that Nya was given strong characterizations outside of her relationship with men overall I’d say this is a solid 8/10.

(Pixane) - Zane/Pixal - I love this ship so much, she has half his fucking heart and there both so great. Zane and Pixar are both fully independent who love each other and there so cute. I think one appeal of this ship for me is that I can see the both as romantic or platonic partners because they both mean so much to the other. Anyway love this ship 9.6/10

(Kailor) - Kai/Skylor - I love Skylor she’s super cool but this pair really only interacts once and awhile to briefly flirt before they just go there separate ways. Obviously both of them are busy so it makes sense that they don’t get a lot of time together. Kai definitely had a crush on Skylor and I think Skylor reciprocated those feelings. There cut and interesting but don’t have as much development as they need for me to be compelled to be invested. Solid 6.5/10.

(Llorumi) - Lloyd/Harumi - these two have a fascinating dynamic that I think is really fun to watch but I cannot see them as romantic partners. I know some people see them as siblings and I really don’t see them that way. And again there really interesting as a duo and while I want the pair to heal and improve there relationship I don’t really want them to date. Overall 5/10 cool duo don’t see them as romantic.

(Lloykita) - Lloyd/Akita - It’s pretty cute, I love Akita so I do hope we see her again. There relationship feels like a summer relationship they have this brief sweet period of time together and they leave on good terms unsure if they’ll ever meet again or if the other will still have feelings if they do meet again. I also really like the idea of these to being together in a queer platonic way. It’s really cute and I love both of the characters individually so it’s a pretty solid ship in my opinion. 8/10 it’s sweet.

(Conia) - Cole/Vania - it feels like a lesbian and a gay man being best friends. I love these two I think there great friends and could even see them being platonic partners but like I don’t see them doing more than that. Solid 5/10 cool pair don’t see it as romantic.

(Lava) - Cole/Kai - There so cool and I think this ship is really fun. I think that these two are both really great characters who mesh well I can totally see them dating and think it’s a really cute ship. These two are bonding over there weird ass family lives and crippling self doubt! These two are a cute pair 9/10

(Bruise) - Jay/Cole - these two are so silly and honestly this is a cute ship. I think Cole was definetley involved in Jays realization that he wasn’t straight. I think this is a cute ship but not one I have super strong feelings on 7/10

(Mudshock) - Jay/Cole/Nya - the best solution for a love triangle is polyamory. That said I wasn’t a big fan of the love triangle but in Ninjago since Cole didn’t actually seem interested in Nya, and Nya only was interested in Cole cause a matchmaking system said so. These three are definitely great friends who joke about the love triangle and hang out but I don’t know that it’s my favorite ship. 6.7/10 Cute but not great.

(Polyninja) - Jay/Cole/Kai/Zane - I think this is probably one of the greatest things I have ever seen. All of these characters are so close and care for each other so much. Together they can help each other grow and thrive. It’s really an awesome ship solid 10/10

-Zane is nonbinary (he/they/it) and doesn't have a preference

Ninjago had released a Pride short, depicting the characters with their flags. It was so cute I had to try and draw it.

I didn't quite manage to recreate the dream's artstyle, but I'm still happy with how it all came out (haha, came out, get it ? it's a pun ???)

Zane: whatever equates to 'straight' for a robot. Hes not ace. Hes also not the robot equivalent of aromantic either. He fell for Pixal at first sight I think he can do it again.

Jay: Bi and he's Demiromantic.

Cole: pan. He knows the romance game but he doesn't play it too often.

Kai: ace as beans are you kidding me.

Nya: another bi lad fellas. Aromantic tho, she knows the game but she doesnt feel for it.

Wu: I think wu transcends love labels, but to get close its probably demisexual.

Garmadon: thinks hes straight but if only because Misako is the only one hes ever had a crush on. Also didnt pick up on clouses tension, probably for the best.

Pixal: bisexual, or a robot equivalent. Her oreintation is machines actually but I dont even know where to begin labelling for that.

Dareth: Thinks hes bi if only because he has a crush on Gayle but all of his relationships have been with other dudes.

Ronin: Gay and probably panromantic.

Vania: shes the tripple A person and I love her for that.

She’s a human clone and a former assassin/child soldier, the Master of Space (forcefields and portals), falls in love with Lloyd and is very protective of him plus they have a cute aspec romance, and her arc is all about learning that her emotions aren’t a weakness to let people love her and that’s she’s not a broken monster.

The rainbow colored ninja being very queer as the universe intended: Gay Ace Cole, Trans and Pansexual Kai (plus Lavashipping galore!), Trans and Bisexual Nya (she and Kai swapped genders and names), Trans and Bisexual Jay, Genderfluid and Pan Zane, Asexual Demiromantic and Genderqueer He/They Lloyd, Genderqueer and PanAce Pixal and other characters are obviously queer as well.

Mental health issues galore that you can’t convince me these ninja don’t have at this point: everyone has PTSD, depression, anxiety, and lots of trauma!

Also autistic and adhd ninja because i said so: Autistic and ADHD Lloyd (he gets the autism from Garm and the ADHD from Misako), ADHD Kai (gets it from his mom), ADHD Jay (also from his mom), and Autistic Zane (his father built him that way because he is also autistic).

Addressing the Garmadon family’s generational trauma BECAUSE THE UNTAPPED POTENTIAL-

Lloyd’s relationship with his mom is complicated BUT after Lloyd has an understandable anger outburst Misako realizes “Fuck I messed up and hurt my kid” and spends a very long time trying to be better and fixing her and Lloyd’s relationship- and they do have a good relationship by the end! (because fuck doing nothing over actually working on fixing their mistakes and actually making up for it and people being complicated and imperfect people)

Love triangles are OUT, trauma triangles are IN

Jay actually gets character development in Skybound AND KEEPS SAID DEVELOPMENT, including Jay having to learn how to have a healthy relationship with Nya and stop bulldozing over people’s boundaries/having unhealthy obsessions with people (which is actually a result of trauma)

^^^ also actually exploring Jay’s birthmom in Prime Empire instead of introducing her then only mentioning her once several seasons later (and not even by name)

Also more sibling stuff in general over the romance because Jay and Nya’s relationship over Kai and Nya’s WHY?!?! (also Smith sibs adopting Lloyd, and all the ninja being even closer as a family obviously)

Consider the stupid love triangle with Wu Garm and Misako GONE. Don’t worry though, I give the brothers a much more believable and angsty reason to start fighting in Season 4 :))) (hint, it has to do with their repressed trauma from their dad’s not so great parenting)

Kai gets his own season with plenty of angst and character development as he deserves. The Green Ninja thing and Chen’s staff thing and being abandoned with a baby sister to take care of and putting all his worth on protecting others will ABSOLUTELY BE DISCUSSED

^^^ also Lavashipping will be included with Kai and Cole finally confronting their feelings for each other and going from on and off friends with benefits to the cutest boyfriends/husbands ever

Exploring the Dragon vs Oni and Creation vs Destruction concept more and using Lloyd and his family to illustrate that what the world really needs is a balance of both (also Lloyd and his dad keeping some Dragon/Oni features at the end!!!)

The ninja actually having to recover from when they very severely injured, or say, fucking possessed (why didn’t they even mention how Lloyd would’ve had to recover from that, the fuck)

Also Wu being confronted multiple times for his bullshit (which, suprise suprise, is a result of trauma), and he actually has to fix his mistakes and try to be better

Fixing everything wrong with Rebooted, Skybound, March of the Oni, Fire Chapter, Prime Empire, and Crystalized (I’m a writer myself, there are some things that drive me crazy and I NEED TO FIX THEM-)

More family time and mundane domestic stuff in between the ninja-ing- just the ninja spending time together and acting more like family/roommates in general

Prime Empire actually makes sense, Jay gets actual character development AND we actually explore his birthmom

Morro and Harumi are deeply traumatized BUT they let said trauma make them assholes and use it as an excuse to hurt people and they become even worse (Morro and Harumi stans BEGONE THIS IS NOT FOR YOU)

^^^ this will include Harumi developing an unhealthy obsession with Lloyd and it turning into creepy/predatory behavior, and there will be off screen sexual assault at some point, be wary of that

Exploring what life with Lloyd and his parents pre-banishement was like, complete with angsty-fluffy feels

Actually talking about addressing everyone’s trauma in general (and giving them more trauma because I’m that bitch :DDD )

Oh you want hot buff lady? Well I am VERY happy to oblige because I like hot buff ladies too!

So from the first time Nya came on screen I immediately got "Chill tall girl energy" and I just love her so much. I love that fact that she's constantly saving the guy's sorry asses and they're just like "Sorry Nya". And you can NOT tell me this gal ain't buff as hell, like she saw everyone else training and she was like "gimme a piece of that!"

I love her dynamic with Kai it's just so sweet and her relationship with Jay is the epitome of "Tall girlfriend/short boyfriend" and also "Two very ADHD goblins but in very different ways" though Idk if I ship it but I don't have any major problem with it, though her and Pixel might have been cute idk. (Also lets be honest with ourselves Cole and Nya were literally never gonna happen but I do think that she taught him how to do eyeliner.

I feel as if I should mention that Ninjago does indeed pass the Bechdel test because her and Pixel talk mechanics a lot and she also talks to Skylor multiple times about a variety of things! So yeah bet y'all weren't expecting that one!

Anyhow as for her outfit I went with a very tech-wear aesthetic because I just though it fit, I threw her ninja symbol fucking everywhere and I had so much fun with her shoes. I don't think she would wear this while working or anything, more like an out on the town ordeal or just generally when she doesn't have to get her hands dirty.

In conclusion I love Nya she carries literally and figuratively!

Royal Au Zane and Pixel

My wonderful robot children whom I love and adore!

Okay, so I was not expecting these designs to come out HALF as good as I think they did! I've never drawn Pixel or braids before and lord have mercy I had way too much fun with both. I debated changing Zane's hair but I honestly had no ideas for it so I kept his hair the same.

Also since this is an old-fashioned royal AU I didn't really think robots would exist so instead I clearly gave them prosthetic limbs. I gave them both two very different styles since Dr. Julien and Cyrus Borg are different people and therefore would most likely have different design techniques.

Anyway they act like siblings and they absolutely love harassing each other, but they're also both really smart, and if you see them plotting together RUN cause otherwise, they will involve you in it without you even noticing. In conclusion, I love these smart morons!
