Last year, a friend asked if I would want to record a sound work to play in their art studio during an open studio event. They had sounds like the Barndo drones in mind. I don't think they ever heard this one, but I've listened to it many times as background music at the office. Unfortunately, I didn't keep any notes of how I made this, but I'm sure it involved the Pamela's New Workout clock generator and filter pings.

AD/ADSR?

1/365 days of workout
• I want to start working out again because I can physically feel my body growing weaker (basically, I start panting like a dog the minute I climb 3 flights of stairs); hence, I want to hold myself accountable.

hi girl, how are you? I hope ur fine and that everything's perfectly okay, i got some questions, if u don't mind answering.
so on September it's my freshman year, im so excited, and especially bcz im going to a new school, which means new people, new experiences and stuff.
Ik high school isn't as perfect as i see it in movies, and that my skl won't take us on a road trip and leave us all alone so we can have fun 💀 but i was wondering if u had any tips for high skl.
I also kinda wanna have a glow up, both physical and mental, during summer, and since ur a whole glowup guru I thought u could give me a "program" to follow so i can look, think and behave better, especially cz my mom doesn't allow me to go out so no gym or activities outside, and she thinks im too young to have a skincare or follow a diet yk.
thank u so much in advance, i absolutely love ur posts, and if u can't or don't have time to answer, that's perfectly fine, stay safe hun<33
hello love,
sorry this is late. classes have been insane. congratulations on your new school! it's always exciting when you try something new, and I promise you're gonna love it.
now, im assuming you're 15/16 years old, since you're a freshman. Before I say anything about having fun in high school, I need to you remember that while TV and movies glorify high school as this really crazy time where you party and have fun (yes, you will have fun I promise), its important to keep in mind that these four years will help you decide your future and get into college. So work hard, and party harder.
Okay, now that I've said that, let's tackle this bit by bit.
How to have fun in high school:
Have sleepovers: They're a fun and easy way to bond with friends. Order tons of junk food and stay up all night.
Picnics: My favourite activity. Dress up and have a themed picnic, and have a photoshoot.
Pool party: If someone you know has a pool, go have fun in the water!
Hang out: Honestly, this was the most fun I had in high school. Just meet at someone's house or at the park, and just chat. Or bring an activity to do together (crochet, playing cards, etc). Buy some snacks and play some music and it's the most chill vibe ever. You will love it.
Start a band: If you play an insturment/ sing, start a band! It's so much fun to practice and perform with friends!
Join a club: You can make lots of like-minded friends at clubs at school. Pick something you really like to do.
How to glow-up for high school:
Workout:
There's no rule that the gym is the only place to workout. When I was 15, I wasn't allowed to the gym either, so I had to make do.
Youtube videos: There are tons and tons of great workout videos from people with a large following. My favourites are Caroline Girvan, growingannanas, Pamela Reif and Madfit. Go get sweaty!
Makeshift weights: You can water bottles filled with water/sand as weights or buy ankle weights to put around your wrists as you get stronger.
Run: This is an amazing source of cardio. I gave up a while back on this because I detest running, but it really does work. Plug in your headphones and go for a run in nature.
Dance: Dancing is a really fun way to workout. Try Zumba, hip-hop or K-pop routines. Hell, even Just Dance has some good ones. Join a class if you want to stay accountable.
Diet:
Honestly, I can't give a lot of advice to you here, because I'm not qualified enough. Go to a nutritionist to see if there's anything you can do. If not, make sure to eat plenty of protein and fibre, limit your junk food intake and drink lots of water. Make lots of salads and fruit bowls. Overnight oats are healthy, filling and delicious.
What I like to do, is eat everything in moderation. Say I've had a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. I won't deny myself a nice bowl of ice-cream (again, not a sundae, the key is moderation). But if I've had greasy food for lunch and takeout for dinner, I'll probably settle for fruit instead. Know that you can eat without punishing yourself, but remember not to go overboard. Food is fuel, remember.
Other tips:
Skincare: Don't make it too fancy. I know influencers and the like have those weird 15-step skincare routines, but it isn't necessary. I use the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, and the most basic Cetaphil face lotion I could find along with an organic lip balm my mom buys. It works like a charm and itsn to too fancy. I also take an ABC smoothie (Apple, Beetroot, Carrot + some water.) This is such a game-changer.
Abundance mindset: I like to think of the universe constantly working in my favour. It's always looking out for me, and I'm the luckiest girl in the world. What you think is what you attract. If you think negatively, you will begin to see only bad things around you. Stay positive.
Wardrobe: Go thrifting, or DIY some old clothes. Pinterest has tons of amazing ideas. Paint your T-shirts, dye your skirts, make cute jewellery at home. There are no limits.
Makeup: I don't recommend it honestly. I'm more or less anti makeup to the point where I only own two pieces of makeup(eyeliner and lip gloss) and even those are used sparingly. Don't get used to your painted face. Your natural beauty is beautiful; and should not be hidden. There's something so amazing in someone who is confident in their own skin. Own yourself, and people will love you more for it.
This post became incredibly long lmao, but I hope I was able to help. DM me if you want more tips. You got this xoxo

Pamela lost 132 pounds
New Post has been published on https://eazydiet.net/pamela-lost-132-pounds/
Pamela lost 132 pounds
Transformation of the Day: Pamela lost 132 pounds. Her journey began in 2018 when she was facing several health challenges. With guidance from her coach, she embraced a holistic approach that focused on various aspects of her lifestyle, including nutrition, exercise, sleep, and hydration.
Social Media: Instagram: @pamgorham FB: www.facebook.com/pam.gorham Pamela’s Coach – IG: @brooktreeconsulting FB: www.facebook.com/brooktreeconsulting
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up? The increasing health challenges, especially the consistent weight gain despite my efforts, were a significant motivation. I was diagnosed with conditions like severe osteoarthritis in both knees, moderate sleep apnea, and pre-diabetes. These health issues, combined with the pain and difficulty in walking and climbing stairs, served as a wake-up call.
My self-worth took a hit with my increasing weight, and this was a driving factor in my desire to make a change.
Once she started working with Kurt (@brooktreeconsulting), I began to see improvements in my health, which provided continuous encouragement. The combined focus on sleep, hydration, movement, nutrition, and exercise led to me feeling better, losing weight, and getting out of the pre-diabetic and obese range.
Having a professional like Kurt, who introduced me to a sustainable lifestyle change and provided a structured approach, played a crucial role. This structure and support acted as a safety net during challenging times.
Seeing the results of Kurt’s work on other clients served as a visual testament to the program’s efficacy, which can be highly motivating.
While my family initially didn’t understand some of my choices, their eventual respect and support for my journey provided a significant emotional boost.
In essence, the combination of health concerns, a deep desire for change, professional guidance, positive results, and internal and external support systems kept me inspired and prevented me from giving up.
How did you change your eating habits? I used to have this routine of going to Bojangles for their chicken dinner with French fries and lemonade, followed by a large slice of cake from Nantucket. I stopped consuming that and all of those high-calorie, less nutritious foods.
When I went out for family gatherings, I refrained from eating restaurant food and chose to bring my own prepared meals instead.
My coach, Kurt, introduced me to different spices and ways to eat healthily, which helped me diversify my diet with various flavors and nutritious ingredients.
I learned it was very important to have prepared meals and a schedule to eat those meals, so I started meal planning and preparing in advance, ensuring I always had nutritious options available.
I worked closely with my coach and adhered to the meal plans he provided, which emphasized balanced and healthy choices.
Beyond just what I ate, when I ate also became important. Sticking to a consistent meal schedule helped me to stay on track and made it easier to avoid unplanned or unhealthy snacking.
I developed an awareness of my emotional relationship with food. Recognizing stress-induced cravings and contrasting them with actual hunger helped me achieve a deeper level of mindfulness about my food choices.
In summary, I made a significant shift from unhealthy comfort foods to a more structured, nutritious, and home-cooked diet. Under Kurt’s guidance, I adopted a holistic approach that included a combination of proper nutrition, meal planning, and a consistent eating schedule.
What is your workout routine? How often did you work out? My health has improved, and my right knee has been replaced. I weight train five days a week and do some type of cardio daily.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight? How tall are you? My weight was as high as 250 pounds. I am currently at 118 lbs. I’m 5’1″ (really 5′.08″)
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take? I started this journey in late May 2018, and it took me 18 months to reach an optimal weight of 125lbs. However, my body composition wasn’t ideal. I continue to work on increasing lean muscle mass.
What is the biggest lesson you have learned so far? The biggest lesson I have learned is the importance of a holistic approach to health, encompassing multiple aspects of well-being, such as sleeping, hydration, movement, nutrition, and exercise. I realized that focusing solely on one aspect, like only dieting or only exercising, wasn’t effective for me in the long term.
I learned that being persistent and committed, and I realized that it’s never too late to make positive changes. It’s very important to focus on the journey and enjoy the process rather than being solely outcome-oriented. My experiences taught me that getting professional help can be invaluable, and it’s essential to drop pride and recognize when assistance is required. I believe that investing in your health upfront can save on the costs, both emotional and financial, of being sick in the long run.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight? 1. Focus on the Journey: Emphasize the importance of enjoying the process and the journey rather than strictly focusing on the end goal or outcome.
2. Seek Professional Help: Recognize when you need assistance, and don’t be afraid to seek help. If you’ve tried over and over again ‘to do it by yourself’, recognize that you just may need some help.
3. Holistic Approach: It’s essential to adopt a holistic approach to health, considering all aspects like sleep, hydration, nutrition, movement, and exercise. You can’t rely solely on dieting or exercising; it has to be a comprehensive strategy.
4. Commitment to Lifestyle Change: It’s not about short-term diets or fads but making a lifestyle change that is sustainable for the long term.
5. Cook at Home: I found value in cooking at home, experimenting with different spices, and discovering ways to make healthy meals that are also flavorful.
6. Consistency: Consistency is key, whether it’s maintaining a sleep schedule, eating habits, or workout routines.
7. Drop the Pride: It’s essential to admit when you need assistance and not let pride prevent you from getting the help you need.
8. Prioritize Health Over Cost: Investing in your health is crucial. Being sick can be costlier in the long run, not just financially but emotionally and physically as well.
9. Believe in Yourself: Understand that as long as you’re alive, it’s never too late to make positive changes and live a healthier lifestyle.
In summary, It’s about a holistic and sustainable approach to health, recognizing when to seek help and the importance of consistency and commitment.

Healthy Connections
My job has cash incentives for stuff like checkups and attending webinars about nutrition or ergonomics. I believe the idea is it reduces insurance costs. It ends up being about a hundred bucks when it's paid out in November.
I'd wanted the Takaab VLH early on, but shipping took kind of a long time when I ordered the low-pass gate. I decided to earmark the November wellness payout for the Takaab VLH. That would allow enough time for it to arrive before the holidays.
The suboscillator function in 2HP is what appealed to me most, but the first thing I played with was the noise output. I found that running noise into the Takaab LPG sounds a bit like banging on a cookie sheet. I also ran noise into the C4RBN filter for a kick or tom sound.
Ring modulation was an added bonus of the VLH that I don't really understand yet. A lack of understanding didn't keep me from using it in the video above. One voice is a folded sine wave from the Befaco Pony ring modulated with the drum sound from C4RBN.
In conclusion, the Takaab VLH seems to be a good use of my wellness incentive pay.

Stretching
Since mid-2020, I have been stretching almost religiously every evening. Most of the time my routine lasts between at least 15 and 20 min up to half an hour, the focus mainly on legs and upper back. Last fall I stopped stretching due to all the stress and I felt it a lot in my body. On top I lost quite a bit of my progress due to the long break. Since stretching is incredibly relaxing and fun for me, I want to start doing it again.
How to make it work: Keep a checklist
Goal: Put my hands on the floor when bending forward
Fascia rolling
Sydney Cummings has a few videos on faom rolling in her stretching playlist and I've read many times on the internet that rolling is supposed to help you become flexible and relax your muscles. I would like to try this and luckily my mom already owns some of these rollers, so I don't have to buy any. So far it had always put me off how painful rolling is, but presumably that extreme pain eventually goes away and the kind of pain, you feel then, feels good. I'm also looking forward to switch up my stretching routine for a change.
How to make it work: Put in the calendar an evening "foam rolling" instead of stretching
Goal: More flexibility
Fitness
Classically, I also have a New Year's resolution to start exercising again, to build up my strength and endurance from the summer. My plan is to do Pilates or a walk once or twice a week, but the main thing is that I move more. As soon as the temperatures get warmer I would also like to go jogging again to improve my endurance and reach my old average time of 40min for 3km.
How to make it work: Add appointments to the calendar
Goal: More strength
Brush teeth in the evening
This topic is a bit embarrassing, but I often have the problem that I don't brush my teeth in the evening on particularly bad days. In addition, I often eat late in the evening and snack and thereby the teeth brushing also somehow goes down. That I could lose my teeth is one of my biggest fears, so it really annoys me that I don't get this problem under control and that's exactly why I must finally go to me consistently in the evening to brush my teeth and not just make it to me.
