Unforturnately, in the last few hours, some of his brothers went to the area of his home, and on the way, they were hit by an explosion from war remnants. On the second day of the ceasefire, I want to say that I’m very grateful to everyone who has helped my friends in Gaza. Nader’s (@abdalsalam2000) fundraiser has reached almost 88,000 euro, and is only 12,000 away from the final goal. He is a seventeen year old boy who is trying to save his family of eight, which includes his one year old niece Iman and his father Ahmed who suffers from cancer which is going untreated because of the genocide. They need to evacuate to get Ahmed the treatment he needs to survive. I’m very emotional and grateful for the help they’ve received, it means the world to their family and all the people who care about them. I think very often of the people who donated €1,000, that money makes more of a difference than I can put into words. I just want to say that your donations and your words matter intensely, you have the power to show these people that the world is listening and that we care and you want to help, and that can help keep hope up. They’ve suffered a lot, and continuing to ask for help is difficult. Please continue to give Nader and his family your support and share this post and donate. Your donations can be what saves them.

The Zionist end game in the West Bank is upon us. The last eleven months leave little room for doubt as settlers continue to actively depopulate Palestinian communities, kidnapping and torturing young men and establishing new colonies. Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir openly boasts about seeking to build a synagogue on top of the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

None of this should be understood as a new phase of Zionist settler colonialism; rather it is its sharpening, its coming out into the open in a more brazen way. What is happening in Gaza can and will happen elsewhere in Palestine. Not because the contexts or conditions are identical, but because they stem from the same supremacist logic and system of colonial domination.

It is a mistake to believe that a ceasefire, regardless of its form, will put the genie back into its bottle. We will not go back to the pre-October 7 status quo and move on with our lives until the next time Gaza is bombed. If anything, October 7 showed how completely unprepared the West Bank is for what is coming, partly due to stubborn self-deception nurtured over the last three decades: the idea that there can be any semblance of normal life under occupation in return for obedience.

The Shehab family has two GFM campaigns, one to pay for evacuation from Gaza, the other to pay for food and survival necessities until they can escape.

As of 03:00 GMT on 23 January 2025:

The Shehabs' evacuation campaign remains frozen at €81,688 / €85,000 — it is not currently able to receive donations.

Their survival campaign, to pay for food and supplies, is up to $8,457 CAD / $30,000 CAD.

@danashehab has been fundraising since may and is just over €15,000 away from their goal l. as stated in the screenshot people are starting to believe the rafah crossing will open so it’s important to make sure everyone has the funds in case they are allowed to evacuate.
