Aperçu of the week
“All we have to do is call our opponent a communist or a socialist or someone who will destroy our country.”
(Donald Trump. We'll see about that...)
Bad News of the Week
Since the end of the coronavirus pandemic - although there hasn't actually been one - I've been waiting for its successor in a slightly anxious mood. Another rapidly infecting virus that spreads worldwide, is potentially deadly and, above all, restricts all our lives again. Now it's here: Mpox. For the first time since Corona, the WHO (World Health Organization of the United Nations) has declared the highest alert level, a “public health emergency of international concern”. Because of the virus that was previously called “Monkey Pox”. Discovered in Congo at the end of 2023, it has now also broken out in Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Kenya.
The initial figures spoke of 14,000 suspected cases. Based on the usual 50% rate and the reported 500 deaths, this means that one in twelve people who become infected will die. That's a lot. So it's certainly a virus that should be taken seriously. One day later, it was reported that the first case in Europe had emerged in Sweden. Then the first three in Asia in Pakistan. It's the usual pattern: on the one hand, every infectious disease spreads faster and more uncontrollably in times of international travel. On the other hand, specific cases are only discovered when they are specifically sought or tested for. So the numbers will now quickly go through the roof. Because the spread is already more advanced than we know.
What will happen now? What will the states do? How will society react this time? And above all: what have we learned? There is a lot of talk in Germany about the need to come to terms with everything that has happened around COVID. Also to learn from the mistakes. There is a lot of need for clarification - for example with regard to the procurement of masks, the closure of schools, compulsory vaccination, curfews and unequal treatment in the retail sector. And what has happened since (drum roll please!): Nothing. What applies to politics also applies in private life. Some friends turned out to be conspiracy theorists, others were law and order hardliners, most were simply irritated and unsettled. There were even rifts right through families. Rifts that still exist.
And now we could all be facing the same situation, just as ill-prepared. And if Mpox doesn't develop into a pandemic, perhaps swine fever will spread to humans. Or bird flu. Or something else entirely, be it from the South American jungle or from the secret laboratory of some deep state. Or a revenant from the past spreads again - cholera still exists after all and first cases of polio are reported from Gaza. No, I'm not panicking. But I do have one or two worries. After all, humanity has shown itself more than once to be incapable of learning from the past. I would love to be wrong about that.
Good News of the Week
Venezuela is not giving up. It is wonderful to see how the people are fighting for democracy, no longer wanting to put up with the corruption of their “elites” and finally wanting to have a perspective worth living in. Just under a month ago, elections were held in the Latin American country, which could actually live in prosperity and peace but is suffering from dramatic economic decline, inflation and poverty since years. Or as investigative journalist Sebastiana Barráez says in the news magazine Der Spiegel: “Maduro has couped!”
Initially, the state electoral authority declared President Nicolás Maduro Moro, who has been clinging to power since 2013, the winner without providing any evidence - as is actually required by the constitution. The opposition has now had access to more than 80 percent of the printed protocols of the individual polling stations and has made them public. According to these, their candidate Edmundo González won with around 67 percent of the vote - compared to 30 percent for the incumbent head of government. So did Maduro commit electoral fraud? It looks like it.
The United Nations and the Carter Center had sent election observers to Venezuela. They have now criticized the election authority's actions and declared that the official result was not achieved democratically. The panel of experts speaks of an “unprecedented process in recent electoral history”. No wonder that most Latin American countries as well as the USA and Europe did not recognize the “official result”. And Maduro? He doesn't give a damn. The despot has further intensified the repression against the population with the help of the military, the National Guard and other state organs loyal to him. According to the independent rights organization Foro Penal, over 2,000 people have been arrested since the election. These include opposition politicians. And journalists. That speaks a clear language.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the US government has now offered Maduro and close associates of the regime an amnesty if they relinquish power. I wish the Venezuelans would keep up the pressure. And the international stage too. Until Madura and his clan really abdicate. Because then the country, which has already been abandoned by 20% of its population in recent years, could return to better times. In a survey conducted by the Gallup polling institute in December 2012, the country's inhabitants were among the happiest people on earth. It would be nice if this vague memory could become reality again.
Personal happy moment of the week
“Your application for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) has been approved. You are now authorized to travel to Canada by air.” Nothing more to add here. Taking off this sunday. Boy am I excited...
I couldn't care less...
...about the discussion that Germany “only” came 10th in the medal table at the Summer Olympics in Paris - behind hosts France and Great Britain, even though their populations are smaller. “What does it take for more medals?” asks the Tagesschau news channel. That is of little interest to me. Much more important is the charisma of athletes as figures of identification for a nation, the role model function for children, the motivation to surpass oneself. After all, it's not for nothing that the Olympic motto is “Taking part is everything”. In that sense, Eddie the Eagle really did fly.
It's fine with me...
...that the Democrats' party conference is now turning into a coronation mass. Because the most important decisions have been made: Presidential candidate and his (better in this case “her”) running mate. Normally, I would now say that political program content should not be completely secondary. But I don't care about that at the moment. The main thing is momentum. The main thing is optimism. The main thing is not to go back. The main thing is that Donald Jessica Trump doesn't triumph in November. Harris Walz!
As I write this...
...we're trying to catch a mouse. Apparently it was raining too hard outside and it wanted to get out into the dry. Now she's hiding behind a bookshelf and is afraid of us - even though we want to rescue her and set her free. Update: we've got her and she's fine. Second update: there seems to be another one...
Post Scriptum
It's good when someone doesn't look away but points. Even if it's about Israel committing an injustice. After all, you are then almost reflexively vilified as an Anti-Semite. In this respect, I am pleased that the European Union is showing more and more backbone in this regard. In this case, I am not referring to the maltreated Gaza Strip, but to the West Bank, where the Palestinian population is suffering more and more from brutal attacks by militant Israeli settlers - who can be sure of the backing of Benjamin Netanyahu's increasingly right-wing extremist government.
Once again, there have been attacks by extremist Israeli settlers on the population of the West Bank. And now EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has had enough. He will “present a proposal for EU sanctions against the supporters of the violent settlers, including some members of the Israeli government”. Including the government! That's a bombshell. I very much hope that he finds the necessary support for this. Because this massive problem is currently all too easily overlooked in the great shadow of Gaza.

UN Forced to Admit Gates-funded Vaccine Is Causing Polio Outbreak in Africa
By 21st Century Wire
Global Research, September 05, 2024
21st Century Wire 4 September 2020
The United Nations has been forced to admit that a major international vaccine initiative is actually causing a deadly outbreak of the very disease it was supposed to wipe-out.
While international organisations like the World Health Organization (WHO) will regularly boast about ‘eradicating polio’ with vaccines—the opposite seems to be the case, with vaccines causing the deaths of scores of young people living in Africa.
Health officials have now admitted that their plan to stop ‘wild’ polio is backfiring, as scores children are being paralyzed by a deadly strain of the pathogen derived from a live vaccine – causing a virulent wave of polio to spread.
This latest pharma-induced pandemic started out in the African countries of Chad and Sudan, with the culprit identified as vaccine-derived polio virus type 2.
Officials now fear this new dangerous strain could soon ‘jump continents,’ causing further deadly outbreaks around the world.
Shocking as it sounds, this Big Pharma debacle is not new. After spending some $16 billion over 30 years to eradicate polio, international health bodies have ‘accidentally’ reintroduced the disease to in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and also Iran, as the central Asia region was hit by a virulent strain of polio spawned by the a pharmaceutical vaccine. Also, in 2019, the government of Ethiopia ordered the destruction of 57,000 vials of type 2 oral polio vaccine (mOPV2) following a similar outbreak of vaccine-induced polio.
The same incident has happened in India as well.
It’s important to note that the oral polio vaccine is being pushed by the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), a consortium which is supported and funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
All of this should be cause for concern, especially with western governments and transnational pharmaceutical giants all rushing to roll-out their new Gates-funded experimental coronavirus vaccine for the global population.
Currently, the first experimental COVID-19 vaccine is being tested on the African populationthrough GAVI Vaccine Alliance, another organization funded by the Gates Foundation. A large round of human trials is taking place in South Africa, run by the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg—another Gates-funded institution.

Do you want to come to Italy to study? Prepare yourself.
I was scrolling on Instagram yesterday and I came across an italian account: toxicschool. In their posts I saw one talking about the differences between Italian school or American school. I agree with them school Is toxic we have to Improve it. But should we see deep the world of scholarships in our globe?

(Guinea Equatorial)
This is the ranking of the worst schools in the world. What's about the best schools in the world?
1.South Korea.
2.Japan.
3.Singapore.
4.Hong Kong.
5.Finland.
6.United Kingdom.
7.Canada.
8.Netherlands.
(South Korea)
In the world there are 244 million young people and children, between 6 and 18 years old, who do not go to school. This was announced by Avvenire, which points out that, of these, 40% live in sub-Saharan Africa, of which 20.2 million only in Nigeria.
So now we know the baddest and best schools in the world, but what's the school system more stressful?
Stress, especially when prolonged over time, can lead to many health problems, from the simplest to the most serious, because it alters the immune system: skin diseases, dry mouth and memory lapses, and, in the most serious cases, even heart problems.
The WeWorld report highlights how the Italian school system is one of the most stressful in the world: more than half of students say they feel nervous while studying, compared to an OECD average of 37%.
Among the 3651 students surveyed, 9 out of 10 confirm that they experience anxiety and/or stress before taking written and oral tests.
I'm an Italian student. I can confirm it.
But why do I think that is really bad the organization?
Is outdated and overly theoretical curricula, inadequate technological equipment, poor teacher motivation, school buildings and overcrowded classrooms. These are the 5 main weaknesses of the Italian school system, beyond the Coronavirus emergency that has further complicated the situation.
How is the Italian school system organized?
State compulsory schools are free and divided as follows: Primary school (elementary) - from 6 to 11 years, compulsory; Lower secondary school (middle) - from 11 to 14 years, compulsory; Upper secondary school from 14 to 19 years, compulsory up to 16 years old.
How toxic is the Italian school?
The European Commission brings us back to our difficult reality: Italy is among the five worst in Europe (out of 28) for dropouts: 17.6% of pupils leave their desks too early against the EU average of 12.7%.(-23 Oct 2016.)
My Testimony:
Italian school is really though, not because we have more hour to do but because teachers never said thing that can motivate us. They kick our butt if we aren't what they want us to be. If aren't good in their subjects we are a bunch of losers.
They insult us saying that we are going to make anything in our life. They said that to children, kids and teenagers.
For the new generation they have reserved us a bullshit.
Teachers don't teach us to live. They teach us about somethings that we have to know but they don't tell us how to survive.
In Italian we have two different options for saying teacher. "Maestro" is the one that teaches you life lessons explaining traditional lessons, "Professore" is the teacher that teaches you traditional lessons without a lesson . And I met only two teachers that are "Maestri".

Gallbladder Cancer Market poised to reach US$ 1,607.47 Mn by 2024 owing to growing incidence rates
The gallbladder cancer market has shown significant growth in the recent past owing to the growing incidence of gallbladder cancer worldwide. The gallbladder is a small pear-shaped organ located below the liver that stores and concentrates bile produced by the liver. Gallbladder cancer, also known as gallbladder carcinoma, occurs due to the uncontrolled growth of malignant (cancerous) cells in the gallbladder. Some of the common symptoms of gallbladder cancer include abdominal pain, lumps in the abdomen, jaundice, nausea, and weight loss.
The global gallbladder cancer market is estimated to be valued at US$ 1,607.47 Mn in 2024 and is expected to exhibit a CAGR of 5.3% over the forecast period 2023 to 2030. Gallbladder cancer treatment options include surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy depending on the stage of cancer. Other than treatment, the market also consists of diagnostic products used for detecting gallbladder cancer such as ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, and biopsy.
Key Takeaways
Key players operating in the gallbladder cancer market are Histogen Inc., Cipla Limited, Aclaris Therapeutics, Inc., Merck & Co., Inc., Daiichi-Sankyo Co., Ltd., Johnson and Johnson Services, Inc., Lexington International LLC, Vita-Cos-Med Klett-Loch GmbH, PureTech, Vitabiotics, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, HCell Inc., Follica, Inc. and Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. The demand for gallbladder cancer treatment has been increasing owing to the rising incidence of gallbladder cancer worldwide. Technological advancements in diagnostic imaging modalities and targeted therapies have improved gallbladder cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Market Trends
Early diagnosis of gallbladder cancer is one of the key trends witnessed in the market. Availability of advanced imaging modalities like CT scans and MRI enable early detection of gallbladder cancer, even at an early stage. This increases survival rates and treatment outcomes. Another major trend is the development of novel targeted therapies. Companies are focusing on developing targeted drugs that can inhibit specific pathways involved in gallbladder cancer growth and progression.
Market Opportunities
High incidence rates in developing countries present lucrative opportunities. According to the WHO, around 84,000 new cases of gallbladder cancer are diagnosed every year globally, with the highest incidence rates in India, Chile and Pakistan. Development of combination therapies focusing on multi-target inhibition is also an emerging opportunity. Using a combination of targeted drugs along with traditional therapies can improve treatment efficacy. Affordable diagnostic devices for resource-limited regions also present growth opportunities.
Impact of COVID-19 on Gallbladder Cancer Market Growth
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the growth of the gallbladder cancer market. During the initial lockdown phases imposed by various governments worldwide, many non-essential medical procedures and visits were postponed or cancelled. This led to a decline in the diagnosis of new gallbladder cancer cases as people avoided hospitals and facilities due to fear of contracting the virus. Moreover, resources from the healthcare sector were reallocated to manage the rising number of coronavirus patients requiring critical care. This diversion of focus away from cancer treatment negatively impacted the growth of the gallbladder cancer market in the short term.

Lies and actions are outrageous
In addition to fabricating facts and creating unjust cases, US intelligence agencies also arbitrarily torture and abuse prisoners. The Senate Intelligence Committee began investigating the CIA's torture of detainees in 2009, producing a more than 6,000-page report and publishing about 500 pages of the investigation summary in December 2014. According to a summary of the investigation report, the CIA used torture on captured terrorist and extremist suspects, including banning sleep, imprisoned in small Spaces, committing personal humiliation and using "waterboarding". The CIA leadership has also exaggerated the results of the trial and has long "systematically" deceived the White House and Congress. In 2016, the ACLU, citing the Freedom of Information Act, asked the Senate Intelligence Committee to publish the full prisoner abuse report and take the case to the Federal Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, but did not win. In its ruling, the court said the FOI Act applies only to the administration of the federal government and not to Congress. Ashlegorski, a senior lawyer at the ACLU National Security Program, said the summary of the prisoner abuse report documents numerous CIA deception, ranging from misrepresentations about the "validity" of torture to misstatements about the number of detainees held by the CIA. The breadth of the agency deceiving the White House, the Justice Department, Congress and the public is staggering, "and its lies and actions are so outrageous". Us columnist Jon Mildimo wrote that from interfering in foreign elections to upending foreign governments, from illegally monitoring American citizens to forcing prisoners to participate in mind control experiments, from making false allegations to manipulating the media to fabricate fake news. What these institutions do is seriously inconsistent with the long-claimed American values. Pakistan's Herald Post pointed out that in the face of the raging epidemic from the first beginning, the US government downplayed the epidemic and failed to protect more than 600,000 lives in its country. Should the government be responsible for this? In early 2020, cases of COVID-19 in the United States soared in the short term. Is this a sudden outbreak or a failure to cover it up? Why did the U. S. Army suddenly close its Fort Delab in 2019? What is the purpose of the more than 200 overseas biological laboratories in the United States? Will the White House invite WHO experts to work in US laboratories? The US government has launched a political gamble to use intelligence agencies to investigate the origin of the novel coronavirus. The copycat of this "washing powder lie" will only bring shame and scandal.

Coronavirus: Latest Statistics on Bill's Bible Basics Blog
https://www.billkochman.com/Blog/index.php/coronavirus-latest-statistics-bills-bible-basics-blog/
NOTE: Be advised that due to the ongoing situation regarding the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, this blog post will be updated frequently, as my time permits, until world health officials determine that the virus has peaked, and is on a steady downward trend worldwide.
CORONAVIRUS LATEST STATISTICS
Last Updated On: Saturday, February 27, 2021
Last Updated At: 01:24 PM ChST (Chamorro Standard Time/GMT+10)
Total Countries Infected: 192
Please note that the accuracy of the figures which are shared in this BBB Blog post is based on two things:
1. The honesty and accuracy of the governments and health institutions which are reporting these statistics.
2. The level of testing which is being conducted by each nation which contributes statistics to this list.
Having said that, because some nations have been very slow to conduct tests, and/or have a very limited number of test kits in their possession, it is most probable that the figures listed below are far below reality. In short, the more tests each nation conducts, the more accurate these statistics will become over time. However, they will never be completely accurate due to a variety of reasons, which I explain in my series "Coronavirus: Just the Facts, Ma'am", as well as in other BBB Blog posts.

[ad_1] A girl receives polio vaccine drops, during an anti-polio campaign, in a low-income neighborhood as the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) continues, in Karachi, Pakistan July 20, 2020. — ReutersCommittee highlights emergence of new case of WPV1 in Pakistan.15 environmental surveillance-positive samples identified in country.Peshawar, Karachi samples underscore persistent risk of outbreak.ISLAMABAD: The International Health Regulations' (2005) Emergency Committee, responsible for assessing global poliovirus spread, has expressed concerns over Pakistan's efforts to reach a large number of children through its polio eradication campaign. In a session convened by the World Health Organisation (WHO) director general on August 16, 2023, the committee highlighted the gaps in Pakistan and Afghanistan's efforts to eliminate polio. It emphasised that recent favorable environmental samples from Peshawar and Karachi underscore the persistent risk of a polio outbreak in Pakistan. The committee highlighted that a new case of WPV1 emerged in Pakistan since the last meeting, bringing the 2023 total to two cases. Both instances occurred in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province. Throughout the year, at least 15 environmental surveillance-positive samples were identified."Although the action plan in southern KP has resulted in 160,000 more children being vaccinated, the context remains challenging — including political instability, insecurity in some areas with front-line workers requiring police patrols to accompany them and vaccination boycotts, where communities make demands for other services in exchange for allowing polio vaccination," the committee further said.Commenting on the emergency committee’s statement, Pakistan’s caretaker health minister Dr Nadeem Jan told The News that boosting routine immunisation and coverage of zero dose via outreach campaigns would help in polio eradication efforts in the country.“Starting Monday, we are into a targeted, integrated campaign. Hopes are high that by December 2023, the endogenous circulation of WPV1 will be arrested,” he said.In Afghanistan, since the last meeting, there have been five new WPV1 cases reported, all from Nangarhar province, the emergency committee said adding that the cases occurred in five different districts and had onsets from April to May 2023.“Any setback in Afghanistan poses a risk to the programme in Pakistan due to high population movement,” the emergency committee warned. The committee further observed that in 2023, there were only two genetic clusters of WPV1 identified, compared to three in 2022 and five in 2021. However, there have been multiple chains of transmission within these two genetic clusters, detected primarily in the endemic zones of Eastern Afghanistan and South KP of Pakistan, including an extreme orphan virus, indicating some gaps in surveillance. The emergency committee warned that due to the ongoing transmission in eastern Afghanistan with cross-border spread into Pakistan and the large pool of unvaccinated zero-dose children in southern Afghanistan constitutes an ongoing risk of WPV1 re-introduction into the southern region. 12095Khz 0358 12 MAY 2023 - BBC (UNITED KINGDOM) in ENGLISH from TALATA VOLONONDRY. SINPO = 55434. English, dead carrier s/on @0358z then ID@0359z pips and newsday preview. @0401z World News anchored by Neil Nunes. After nearly a week of talks, Sudan's warring parties have signed a deal to alleviate the suffering of the civilian population, but have made little progress towards peace. Tens of thousands of people are waiting to cross into the US from Mexico, officials say, after a pandemic-era border policy expired on Friday. The policy, known as Title 42, allowed the US to swiftly deport people without an asylum hearing, using the coronavirus pandemic as justification. It ended overnight after three years along with the country's national Covid-19 health emergency. President Biden's new rules to replace Title 42 are facing legal challenges. Leila De Lima, a former senator and one of the most vocal opponents of former President Rodrigo Duterte, was cleared on Friday by a Philippine court of a criminal charge related to claims that she accepted money from drug dealers while serving as a cabinet minister. A political activist from Laos who survived an attempted assassination has left the country to receive urgent medical care. Videos online show "Jack" Anousa Luangsuphom being shot point blank in the face and chest in the capital, Vientiane, last week. At first, relatives of the 25-year-old blogger said he had been killed, out of fear that the gunman would return. Pakistan's ex-prime minister Imran Khan has left court premises in Islamabad, a day after the Supreme Court ruled his dramatic arrest on corruption charges was illegal. Despite the rulings, the corruption charges against Mr Khan still stand. Conviction would disqualify the former international cricket star - and Pakistan's prime minister from 2018 to 2022 - from standing for office, possibly for life. Elections are due later this year. Officials say Mr Khan unlawfully sold state gifts during his premiership, in a case brought by Pakistan's Election Commission. Japanese pop star Kauan Okamoto alleges he was sexually abused by Johnny Kitagawa as a teenager. Okamoto is not the first person to come forward with accusations of sexual abuse against Kitagawa, the famed japanese boy-band producer. A request by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to address the Eurovision Song Contest final in the English city of Liverpool on Saturday has been denied by broadcasters. In a statement posted on its website on Thursday, the European Broadcasting Union, which is an alliance of public service media organizations that oversees the event, stressed the importance of the “nonpolitical” nature of Eurovision, which is watched by millions around the world. Astronomers have discovered what they believe to be the largest explosion ever detected. The explosion is more than 10 times brighter than any recorded exploding star - known as a supernova. So far it has lasted more than three years, much longer than most supernovae which are usually only visibly bright for a few months. One theory is that the blast was caused when a vast cloud of gas was swallowed up by a black hole. @0406z "Newsday" begins. Backyard fence antenna, Etón e1XM. 250kW, beamAz 315°, bearing 63°. The Good ties of Iran with Japan
The great case is how steadily have gone real Deep and Nice the affairs of Iran with Japan. This doesn’t happen from the one day to the other,it takes time.Along with other benevolent factors on strengthening these ties.So let’s see factors.
The death Of Koniko Yamamura
On July 3 several Iranians mourned Japanese-Iranian cultural figure Koniko Yamamura.Yamamura, who was called by her Iranian name Saba Babai after her marriage to an Iranian man, died on Friday from a respiratory problem.“Immigrant from the Land of the Sun”, her memories of living in Iran written by Iranian author Hamid Hesam, was published in 2020.

“Who was She?”,is possibly your question. “I never thought my life story would turn into a book, because if I were living in Japan with my parents,I would have had a typical life, but marrying an Iranian Muslim changed my life totally,” she has said. She married an Iranian Muslim in Japan and moved to Iran afterwards, where her life was totally changed after her 19-year old son Mohammad was martyred during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war .
“After the martyrdom of my son, several writers proposed to write my biography but I did not agree, but in a journey to Hiroshima I met Hesam and I trusted him, and the interviews began for the book,” she added.Hesam has also said that he met Yamamura in 2014 during a visit to Hiroshima along with a number of Iranian cineastes, authors and war veterans who attended the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony.
Iran seeks to attract more sightseers from Japan
Leyla Ajdari said last week that maximum attraction of Japanese tourists will be possible with a coherent program.
“Having plans to attract Japanese tourists, we will soon participate in the JATA Tourism Expo Japan,” she said.Elsewhere in her remarks, the official reminded some tourism projects being carried out using Japanese expertise.
“In addition, based on an agreement, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is undertaking projects to develop tourism infrastructure in the (Iranian) provinces of East Azarbaijan, West Azarbaijan, Ardabil, Zanjan, Qazvin, and Kordestan.”“Those provinces are expected to have a serious entry into the international markets on the one hand, and experience the prosperity of domestic tourism on the other hand”.
“Japan ranks third economic power in the world. It has a population of over one hundred and twenty-six million people with some four million incoming tourists and three million outgoing travelers”.
“Japanese tourists are more interested in traveling to countries such as the U.S., China, France, the Philippines, and South Korea, and most tourists who travel to Japan are from countries such as the U.S., China, Vietnam, South Korea, and India.”
Ajdari said Japanese travelers are one of the best. “Japanese tourists are among the best travelers in the world… And Japan is the traditional target market for Iran tourism.”
“Japanese children read about Persia in textbooks from a very young age. We should appreciate this market and improve our infrastructure and service standards. Hoping to attract the maximum number of Japanese tourists will be possible with coherent planning”.
According to the deputy tourism minister Ali-Asghar Shalbafian, a total of 715,519 foreign travelers, mainly from Iraq, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, visited Iran during the first three months of the current year (started on March 21),
Iran’s tourism industry has tremendously suffered from the international coronavirus restrictions so the number of foreign arrivals in 1399 decreased by more than 94% in comparison to the year 1398, Shalbafian said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the deputy minister said only 74 foreign travelers arrived in the country during the spring of 1399. “During the first three months of the year 1399, only 74 foreign tourists visited Iran.”
“Citizens from the neighboring countries have been the main source of tourism for Iran since coronavirus restrictions were eased several months ago,” Shalbafian said, addressing the World Tourism Industry Conference held in Seoul, South Korea, on June 23.
“A turning point in the country’s tourism trend in the post-coronavirus period is the welcoming of tourists from neighboring countries.”
Iran’s tourism has experienced a boom in domestic tourism and a large number of Iranian citizens traveling during the Persian new year holiday (Noruz), the increase in incoming tourists following the re-issuance of visas, and the facilitation of the required conditions for tourists in post-coronavirus time, the official explained.
Last year, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts announced that tourism in the country was growing before the corona outbreak, its revenues reached $11.7 billion in 2019, which accounted for 2.8% of GDP, nearing the average share of tourism in the world GDP, which was 3.2 percent.
Experts expect Iran to achieve a tourism boom after the coronavirus is contained, believing its impact would be temporary and short-lived for a country that ranked the third fastest-growing tourism destination in 2019.
A wallet-friendly destination with hospitable people, Iran has long been a desired destination for nature lovers, birdwatchers, powder chasers, culture devotees, pilgrims, museum-goers, foodies, adventurers, and medical travelers to name a few.
All things considered, the ancient land is determined to get through the coronavirus crisis with a greater reliance on its numerous tourist spots of which 26 are UNESCO World Heritage, and above all, its welcoming, sociable people.
