We shall offer ourselves to the holy fire and perform Jauhar! Those who lust for our body, would not even get their hands on our shadows! Our bodies will be reduced to ashes, but our pride and honour will remain immortal.

Why I don’t like Ranveer Singh
This is the most impulsive blog that I am writing of my entire writing journey. 😂
A teaser dropped in of Karan Johar's 'Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. And I liked the teaser. So when discussing with a Friend I highlighted that I do not like Alia and Ranveer but I liked the teaser due to the Karan Johar touch. And then we almost fought over why I do not like Ranveer because I was not given a good typing time in the so-called ‘debate’😁. My argument is a deal.
Why I don’t like him.
Ranveer Singh as an actor is too loud who overpowers the character.
In the times of multiple entertainment formats (Movie, web series etc) Ranveer Singh is the same everywhere. You watch Simmba, Bajirao Mastani and Ramleela or Padmavat, nothing changes apart from looks.
He may play versatile roles but that ‘Ranveer’ energy never offloads.
He is neither the boy next door nor a goor or bad cop personality. Then what is his own?
So Ranveer Singh is a good actor. No doubt. But as a fan you fall for the personality of an actor equally. It is an era of social media. Actors want to be seen on screen and at events, airports, reality shows, weddings and funerals as well. I mean why do you think Ranveer wears flashy clothes and roams around with huge speakers at airports. To be seen. Isn't it? I do not want to see a weird man like this. I am from an era of SRK, Akshay, Ajay, Amir, Salman, Jackie and even Govinda for that matter. I accepted yellow and red pants and even ripped jeans with bare chest Salman. Our generation has accepted it all. But Salman never roamed around in public with a t-shirt off or Govinda in Yellow pants I suppose. Of course we did not have instagram then. But humans remain humans. You absorb the advisable and avoid the ignorable. 😁 Ranveer did exactly the opposite. 🤷🏻♀️ I some how do not fit into that transition unless its only limited to screens. These actors are still on camera but then there is a big space in between the paparazzi cams and film cameras. Ranveer just mixes it all.
Jokes apart. An actor is an actor on screen but an individual outside. Shouldn't there be a difference when you see this man in both the places? "His 'traits' are such" as my friend points. But then do you mean he is acting on the outside too? Or is he not able to get into the character because of how he is on the outside? I am really confused. Where does he take real efforts? On or off screen? So much coincidence in every role and script that his traits are so magnetic for all the makers to want him to be him everywhere? Isn't he bored of jumping and bouncing everywhere? He was hopping as Kapil Dev also. Seriously? Thank God he did not play Dhoni. 😓Didn’t we see Sushant Singh Rajput as Dhoni and Sushant both?
I remember Sushant in Shudh Desi Romance, I remember Shahid in Kabir Singh as well as Jab we met, I even remember Sonakshi in Holiday and Tapasee in Thappad as well as Naam Shabana. Do you remember Ranveer in Ladies Vs Ricky Behl? If No, I will tell you why. Because he has overdone Band Baaja Baraat all the time. Once he realized it works he decided to eat, drink and sleep on it. He enjoys the fun those young fans have when they see this over enthusiastic man. He enjoys the following for his madness.
But when the same actor sheds tears on screen it does not reach the heart because you saw him last jumping when he promoted the film repeatedly. That emotion does not register. Because the man is very shallow. He does not show different shades of human personality. I suppose he doesn’t want to. I distinctly remember Ranveer in Ladies Vs Ricky Behl, Lootera, Dil Dhadakne Do, Gully Boy and 83. Movies where we could forget him as Ranveer and only watch Kabir, Murad or Ricky. In Fact he has done really amazing as all of them. As an actor he himself does not want to showcase various strokes as an artist. He can carry some roles naturally with ease like ‘Kabir’ in Dil Dhadakne Do. I loved him in that film. But you see him purely acting there because you have seen that of him very less. I am sure people will say 'film hai acting nahi karega toh kya karega'. But when that acting shows on the face of an actor in 2015 who debuted in 2010, you know it's a long way to go. Pagalpanti wala formula hit hai.
When I compared him to Govinda. My friend just rubbished the comparison saying ‘how can they be the same. Are Shahid and Ranveer the same?’ Now, let's answer that argument. Shahid comes from a horribly dysfunctional family background. Yet you see a calm and composed man when you see Shahid in real life. Nobody knows what happens in their personal lives. But when you see the man, you identify with his ‘traits'. Imagine Shahid hopping around and smiling unnecessarily to hide the misery. How do we judge this man called Ranveer? Shouldn't you be able to point out a difference between Simmba and Ranveer?😁 He is a next level mad man. Even the bad man is good in real life. 😂
People like me are in the minority. But we enjoyed all types of actors. When we saw the same people outside the films they were different people. So we knew Jackie Shroff as a good actor and Jackie Shroff as a rugged man with filthy Hindi. It never bothered me because when I heard him speaking Hindi in movies he was the most ideal man anybody could wish for. As a fan I see a lot of them everywhere today. So I can expect a lot from them on screen too. Govinda gets an upperhand there because apart from films I only saw him in awards or some red carpet. But today the way actors are 'available' for paps I will judge you over every small act. 😜
For example ‘83’. Great job here but when promoting Ranveer failed to imbibe even 20% of Kapil Dev’s calmness. Too loud. So what you see is Ranveer Singh again. I believe if the actor is playing a role he/she should be able to carry it for some time to make people believe in your work. You are not the same in office as home and vice a versa. Some dignity is required. Just because you belong to the entertainment industry you do not get the liberty to act like a retard everywhere and yet be loved for ‘he is so energetic nuisance. Otherwise you may swim in insanity. I am very sure it’s just pretending. He is not the way he shows us to be. Even Deepika tried this madness but then immediately bounced back. You cannot keep on pretending. This man is a constant nautanki. 😯
You can’t blame Ranveer completely. Because we have not seen the real Peshwa Bajirao we believed Ranveer did a fine job. After all it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali who made us believe. Ranveer was not even close to a Marathi common man yet people went gaga over him. Personally I feel he sounded just like Ram from Ramleela. Let's not go to the dance for even a second. But Rohit Shetty just proved me right because he could not remove a Singh out of Ranveer to play a Bhalerao. Do not worry, I googled Simmba. ☺️
You are not just a fan of one movie but collectively an actor's work and how he behaves in reality. Ranveer Singh confuses me. And confusion cannot entertain. Hence he fails to be liked by me. 🙂
Now we plan Alia Bhatt war! ⚠️

Exhibit 54
hi this is esp for all the bollywood fans out there, can we maybe as a community NOT applaud and support films that promote the whole Hindu = good / Muslim = evil ideology, especially when they are blatantly inaccurate + obviously perpetuate a biased and unfair telling of history that strays quite far from the actual facts? Can we also maybe not support films that glorify practices like Sati (the idea that any honorable or self respecting Hindu woman would throw herself onto her husband’s funeral pyre bc the thought of living without him isn’t feasible) and Jahur (the practice of mass self immolation of Hindu women to avoid being enslaved, captured, and or raped by foreign invaders)?
I could go on but point is Padmavaat is 2 hours and 44 minutes of reductive and harmful storytelling, one that does nothing to propel Indian society (in an academic, economic, cultural or even socio-political way) forward and instead just continues a really gross and harmful narrative about womanhood/women’s right to live/women’s worth being tied to their ‘sexual purity’ as well as a movie that v clearly presents anti Muslim rhetoric.
I’m all for artistic freedom and I don’t think the censor board handled this well (lol do they ever) but I do also believe in being critical of the media you choose to endorse and consume.
TLDR; screw Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his repetitive and frankly gross storytelling. We, as a film-going and diverse community, deserve and should strive for better.

Potential nsfw Warning. ..
Also fair warning... I can't write. Incoherent horny thoughts...maybe..but fully formed fanfiction... Nope. . so please excuse the very sloppy writing and plotholes...This is inspired by a conversation from the Discord server
Deva and Varadha clad in all white kurta pyjamas...all ready for Holi celebrations... Starts out innocuously ... With them splattering colour on each other and unsuspecting innocents like Baachi(who screams Annaaa), dear old Baaba( who keeps yelling something like pichodaa), Surabhi, who Varadha carries on her shoulders while she laughs uncontrollably, all drenched in an array of colors..Varadha dancing to the tunes of Holi songs... An infectious smile on his face... All the while Deva watches this from the sidelines..pleased to see all the cares of the world gone from Varadha's face... A naughty smile form 's on his face. ..The bhaang(which additionally rinda had spiked With vodka) loosening his inhibitions... He approaches Varadha from the back sneakily and lifts him in a bridal carry, Varadha squealing all the while, and drops him in the pool which being Holi ,is a rainbow ocean.. Deva watching as Varadha is completely drenched from head to toe. The water droplets cascading down his neck where they disappear into the thin kurta revealing the bud of his erect nipples ... The whole outfit just clinging to his body like second skin leaving nothing to the imagination.. Hs slim waist THAT Deva just wants to grab hold of , long legs, which extend for miles , tapering down to tight well defined calves, and oh God... His ass, that tight ass ,,That deva doesnt know whether to grab or pinch or squeeze.. He could spend a day worshipping that ass.. He sees all this and Deva wants.....
Varadha , on the other hand , is completely wet and feeling nasty... He wants his revenge on Deva...Deva, who's looking completely dry and comfy while he is wet down to the nines and then some. . He gets out of the water fully intent on soaking the fuck OUT of Deva..He approaches DEVA fully intent on putting his plans into action but one look at his face and Varadha forgets his own name, Let alone his plans.
Deva can't help but get a taste of those sweet cherry lips and he leans into Varadha. Varadha on the other hand has other plans. He grabs Deva's hand and a platter with colours as they move into a corner, away from the noise and celebrations. Varadha backing Deva into a wall. Moving closer to him..Deva's anticipation through the roof now ...waiting , watching as Varadha dips his fingers into the platter and smears a bright yellow into Deva's face ... Fingers moving slowly... Deva is watching Varadha keenly...not a word spoken....as Varadha picks another colour, this time , a deep red, and smears it all across his neck... Eyes never leaving Deva's...hands slowly moving towards the V of his kurta....Deva 's breaths now coming in quick spurts... Varadha lifts his kurta and smears his chest red..and moves to his nipples.. Deva... Head thrown back.. A silent moan on his lips while Varadha move 's on from colour to colour...goes from nipples to ribs to stomach. .. His breath hitching as he knows where he is headed ..Deva in another plane altogether... Feather light touches making his body quiver but he wants... Wants all that Varadha will give...and more..Varadha looks up to see the beautiful mess that Deva is... Lips bruised from biting, hands drawn into tight fists at his sides, his kurta covered in sweat..he sees and he decides he wants in..Varadha moves up and plants his lips on Deva's. Deva, finally getting to taste the sweet cherry mixed with bhaang. ..an intoxicating cocktail in his month..Deva decides he's had enough.. He grabs Varadha's by the waist and pulls him impossibly closer and presses his tongue to Varadha's ....Varadha letting out a sigh, surrenders to Deva's ministrations. Their tongues pressing each other's, hands grabbing the other wherever they can reach, Deva now lifts Varadha off the floor, Varadha's thighs around his waist, and places him on the steps of a nearby ladder. Immediately climbing on top of him, lips still pressed together, Deva rips off Varadha's shirt, now licking a trail down Varadha's wet skin ,from collarbone to his nipples to the tattoo at his hipbone which Deva bites.
Varadha, his eyes rolling up,has now started moaning gibberish...a few "please" and "Deva" being the only thing Deva can decipher... Deva in single minded determination, ignores Varadha's desperate pleas and keeps going down, down his hips where he unties the draw strings of his pyjamas. Varadha, completely on edge , about to lose it, just sobs..."Deva Deva ..nghh....Devaaa" in a rhythm less babble..Deva has to physically restrain himself from just coming undone ... Somehow maintaining his composure , he pulls his pyjamas down , the air tight with tension, Varadha a crumbling mess, Deva himself on the edges of his sanity, his fingers inches away from getting what he wants, needs, when he hears a voice call out , so slowly that he would have missed it if there wasn't silence ..he hears the voice say"Anna"???
Anticipation and frustration giving way to utter disbelief when Varadha says "Baachi??"
Deva doesnt know what a picture they must make... Drenched in colour, Varadha With his kurta off, pants pulled down to his knees, Deva himself half naked and on top of a writhing Varadha. . the image would be stuff of nightmare 's for Baachi.... Who could be in a coma going by the expression of his face... Deva , unable to conjure up any reaction or expression , just crumbles and hides his face in Varadha's neck when he hears Varadha, naked and From his position underneath Deva, say, with a sheepish ,embarrassed smile :"HOLI HAI" ....
.

padmavat: the movie
i’m sick to my stomach looking the beauty of sanjay leela bhansali’s padmavat. the rajputana palace is lit with a thousand lamps at most times. the lattice work of the windows and the doors cast a shadow so mesmerising under their flickering light.
the tones in the frame pull you in, prompting you to savour each second that the palace is on the screen. the hand crafted customs and the intricate jewelleries are beguiling, with such beauty and splendour shinning right in your face. one can only speculate the opulence that the rajasthani royals possessed during their reigns.
however scattered and biased the story line may be, with predictable characters & an inconsistent plot. the grandeur of bhansali’s work is undisputed.

Nainowale Ne (Sequel to Ajab Si Adaayein)
The entire OS is here, centered on the song Nainowale Ne from Padmavat.
*******
Nainowale ne
Maadhavi could not sleep. Every time she closed her eyes, his brown eyes, sparkling with the colours of life shone in her memory. She was entirely captivated, and she had not heard the man speak even once. Heck, she knew nothing about him, and yet... she could not ignore that pesky little feeling, which said that she actually knew everything about him.
Krishna, why this torment?
Nainowale ne, chera man ka pyaala
He had really disturbed her heart, which always thrummed for her Hari, which still did. Her love for Vishnu stayed a constant, and yet, being lost in the eyes of this mystery man did not feel wrong somehow... it felt as if Hari Himself had wanted it.
But why? Maadhavi could feel a pout form on her lips, and she sighed. How was she to ever understand her heart's mischievous plans?
chalkaayi madhushaala
She silenced her snickering mind at the thought of the poetry that was about to spill out loud from her traitorous mouth. The cup of her love had overflowed, it sang teasingly, and she did not want to be that affected. Her cheeks, however, betrayers that they were, turned a deep red at the very thought of his handsome face.
Her unknown stranger's luminous face, whose everything felt like her own.
mera chain rain nain apne saath le gaya
She got up and again fell on her bed, knocking herself on the head with her closed palm. She had gone insane, she felt, especially after seeing him. What was he thinking, taking everything away from her, including her thoughts, emotions and sanity? Who was he to invade her eyes at every turn?
nainowale ne, ahaa
nainowale ne
"Yes, I am well aware that it was his fault, you crazy mind of mine," she said out aloud, rubbing her cheeks when she felt them reddening even further. She closed her face with her hands, sighing at what she believed was unstable behaviour. What was happening to her, and why was she allowing it to happen?
'Who are you to control the flow of fate?' her heart chided, and she nodded. This was true, for fate was His choice. What He wanted, only that happened.
chera man ka pyaala
chalkaayi madhushaala
mera chain rain nain apne saath le gaya
She blew a raspberry on the open air and hid her face in the comfortable, fluffy pillow to her side and closed her eyes, willing herself to sleep.
***
pag pag dolo re... hooo
Maadhavi glared at her feet, which had tripped yet again, as she entered the book store. She had never been a klutz her whole life. She had always walked with firm steps, being a dancer from a young age. However, recently, ever since she had met him, she had become clumsy. She walked in a way that could be described as dance, and she could not change it. While the walking-like dance part came easy, she was yet to adjust entirely to the 'seeing him everywhere' aspect of her life, and thus, the combination caused her to spaz the way she had.
pag pag dolo re, dagmag si main chalti
Maadhavi took a breather at the historic fiction section, sighing. She was swaying in a way she never had before, all because she saw wood that resembled his eye colour. He had really stolen even her common sense, something she mourned a bit dramatically. Could she now walk normally?
She smiled to herself and simply moved one step as if dancing, and giggled quietly. She genuinely felt like she was taking swan-like steps, as Sita and Andal are especially described in Tamizh songs. Anna nadai was a real thing, she mused, turning to grab the book she had been eyeing.
hoon jag mag lau si jalti
tere naino ki kaisi madiraa
"You look so bright today, Dhavi," said Rekha, the middle aged woman who always rang the register in the bookstore. "Like a bright flame, in fact."
Maadhavi blushed, embarassed at the compliment. She could rarely hand compliments well, rather shrinking and hiding when they are given, turning varying shades of pink and red instead. She could not own a compliment, definitely not the way she could own deprecation, especially self-deprecation.
She knew her bright appearance was due to the addiction of his eyes. She had seen the Universe and beyond in them, and there is nothing she could do beyond constantly thinking of them and losing herself in them. Smiling quietly to herself, she shifted to the section on Sanatana Dharma, and froze.
har-thar kaanpoon re tere teer si chippti
Maadhavi had turned bright red, for he stood right opposite her, his eyes as bright as the flame she had been called. He gazed at her unblinking, after taking permission from her once again. Her heart melted, for this man had chosen to take permission from her for gazing at her, the second time as well.
'He will always,' her mind, which was usually much more pragmatic, said. It was clear that even her mind was in line with her heart's thoughts, and she felt the beat of the same thud through her body. She closed her eyes, as if to arrest his own within them, turning away partially due to the utter bashfulness that filled her.
chandan pe naag si lipti
She felt like she needed something to hold her, for the fire that suddenly burned between them was making her body sway. She wanted to lean against something, and let her body willingly burn in the fire that blazed between them. His gaze made her shutter in the best way possible, and she slowly raised her eyes to meet his, blushing yet again and smiling in reflex.
She quietly walked towards him, deciding to move past, when suddenly, something hit her legs and she lost balance.
Yet again.
Before she could right herself, she felt warm, slightly rough hands grab her to balance her. The touch was so familiar, that she did not even need to know who had done it.
She met his eyes again, her cheeks now a permanent red, thanks to him and his closeness and gentleness. His eyes met hers, and they held an apology for touching her without permission. She could feel herself telegraph that it was fine, he had protected her, and saw his face light up in the silent communication they had.
mein behosh tu nasha
aise moh ki dashaa
mera chain rain nain apne saath le gaya
"Hi! I am Shyam," he said softly, his voice the melody of the flute Maadhavi's heart sings in. She knew instantly that this was the blessing of her Krishna, of her Universe, in this form. Yet, suppressing the excitement which suddenly burst through Her, She responded.
"Hi Shyam. I am Maadhavi."

I'm gonna say something not everyone will like (criticism is accepted)- romanticizing done by slb in his films and series is not a negative point. He's a man creating art and it's his choice how he wishes to do that. If people defended sati after seeing jauhar in Padmavat, that's on their conscience. If people wants to have an aesthetic life of tawaif after seeing Heeramandi, then they missed the part where Alam ran away from her house just to not become a tawaif. How is that on bhansali?

Astrology-Mystery Of Rahu
Well, before we delve deeper into subject of Rahu, you have to understand what is Rahu in a person's birth chart.
Bad Rahu- In terms of bollywood movie character, imagine Rahu to be Khilji character played by Ranveer Singh in Padmavat Movie. A dark character full of desires, wild, breaking norms of the society and using manipulation to achieve things. Due to his excessive obession for the beauty of a woman(with out her permisson/consent), he broke all the rules of the society.
Good Rahu- Imagine a good Rahu impact to be Lawyer Govind- Character played by Sunny deol in Damini Movie. He was initially completely detached from his work of being a lawyer . But after a challenging situation appears, he once again stood up with his knowledge of law for the noble intention of fighting for justice to Damini.
What is Rahu?
Rahu is obsession.
Rahu is illusion.
Rahu is attachment.
Rahu is desire.
Rahu is physical proof of invisible things.
Rahu is all about breaking rules of society.
Rahu is future.
Rahu is manipulative.
Rahu is materialistic.
To understand Rahu, you also have to understand Ketu because Rahu and Ketu have same body in which Rahu is Head and Ketu is remaining body.
What is Ketu?
Ketu is detachment.
Ketu is spirituality.
Ketu is past.
Ketu works in invisible way.
Ketu is boredom.
Ketu represents nothingness.
Ketu is formless.
Ketu is experience.
Benefits of Rahu
Rahu give magical results in all the houses depending upon where it's lord is sitting. For example, If the lord is sitting in 8th house, then you should go for mysterious work. Universe will give you all favors in that. And if the lord is sitting in 5th house then you should go for creativity and entertainment. Here universe will give all favors to you. And so on.
Remember Rahu can give you vertical rise if you will choose right path and will give vertical downfall ,if you will choose wrong path.
How to get benefits of Rahu?
To get benefits of Rahu, one needs to respect his Ketu. When you will run behind towards a desire/material thing/goal, you will not get it specially in Rahu and Ketu Maha dasha or Antar dasha.
Rahu can give magical results if the person will have noble intentions, neither attached with the future desires and nor detached with past experiences. But should hold his past experiences for the noble intentions.
Note: If Rahu sits alone ,then it will work much better than it's sits or aspected by other planets.

this is a question i like to ask to many people:
if a foreigner who has no relation to India at all came to you and asked for a song that was basically an introduction to Indian music, and you wanted to impress them into listening to more Indian music, what is the first song you would recommend to them, not based on what you like but what they would probably like as someone with no knowledge of Indian culture?
Oh this is such a good question! This is soo very difficult to decide because Indian music is soo very diverse and it has its set of eras. This was hard very hard but I narrowed it down to 'Ghoomar' from the movie 'Padmavat' sung by the magical Shreya Ghoshaln. You should see the music video too and the it is very very melodious. It's a classic which I feel almost everyone enjoys. I know you said only 1 song anon but I can't stop myself without mentioning a few others (forgive me)
Pappu can't dance(Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na)
Gallan Godiyan (Dil Dhadkne Do)
Tum hi Ho (Aashiqui 2)
Kun Faya Kun (Rockstar)
Lat Gayi (Race 2)
Iktara (Wake Up Sid)
I can go on but I have to stop myself here. You have no idea how much I loved answering this ask! Thank you so much for it and I hope that you enjoy these songs.
What do you say @helpallthenamesaretakenblog?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali
A renowned film-maker in the Indian film industry, prolific in his works, Bhansali is known for his opulent works that delve further into the character’s emotions. His works are acclaimed within the Hindi film industry, which is known for its grand costumes, colourful palettes, dance sequences, and emotionally charged Bhansali embraces these characteristics and goes beyond with them.
Bhansali is fluent in visual language as the audience is always awed.
A feature that is definitely noticeable within his films, is the grand set design, as he constructs these sets with a skilled team. Bhansali is very clear and specific with the set he desires and pays great attention to detail, as seen in his work Gangubai Kathiawadi where even the utensil shop’s utensils were placed and made in a similar fashion to that of a common one found on the streets.
His more grand sets are noted within his period drama films, Bajirao Mastani, Padmavat, and Devdas are his most expensive sets. As extensive research had gone into these works spanning from months to years and the overall budget spent on these films were approximately in crores. However all of his works do contain elaborate set designs that fully encapsulate the viewer for every second.
In his film Saawariya, it perfectly encapsulates a dream, where clock hands move backwards, a buddhist statue in a muslim town and so on. This set was so out of place and bizarre that many did feel that it was almost stepping into a world in Bhansali’s mind
Bhansali would often work with highly skilled costume designers, who go into extensive research about the setting of the films to procure almost couture pieces. The costumes along with the jewelry can sometimes weigh to about 5 to 15 kg, and each costume is delicate and of extremely high quality.
The costume designer of Guzaarish was criticized for his unrealistic, maxi outfits of Sofia’s nurse outfits to which the designer responded that he simply creates the outfit based on the director’s style and preference from his works.
In terms of capturing these shots, Bhansali is almost infamous for his long sweeping shots which are known to span for a minute or so. It is most evident in his dance sequence shots as well which are also known to be long, in this said sequence we can also note the overhead eagle eye shot which is used to showcase the formation of the dancers as well.
Also utilizing close ups to further dramatize the emotional moment of the characters or to simply make it more impactful.
He also takes advantage of the physicality of his characters to highlight the dynamic of the relationship. This nature of blocking does not prevent the characters from moving with grace which further adds to the opulence of the film.
Bhansali’s works revolve around dauntless characters and their emotional journey, around emotions such as anger, lust, vengeance, jealousy, and sadness. These emotions can also be highlighted by the use of colour in his films. Colour grading within his film is fully utilized to translate the theme of the film or the scene, in his film Black which focuses on light and shadow to represent Michelle’s blindness.
In short, it can be agreed upon the genius of Bhansali's works in terms of the visual language to engage the audience with every second.

i dont really understand the argument against slb, like in padmavat, maybe you can say muslims were shown in a bad light but so were hindus in bajirao mastani…?
for padmavat, that is what was part of the plan. and if we say ‘historically khilji was not like that,’ well historically some sources claim that mastani too was integrated with little hindrance as it was usual for men to have other lovers and what not.
maybe i am missing out on something but that’s what i have noticed..
Bollywood fucking sucks these days. I really feel like some of these movies are made just to stir up communal tension.
They make movies with very little history actually portrayed, and people just fucking RUN WITH IT. As if it's reality. Like babe, no. this is Bollywood. This is the film industry where there's a song every 30 minutes and the actress has 7 different sari shots in the mountains in one musical number.
don't believe everything you see. especially if it's BOLLYWOOD.
