Dogwarts - A Horror-Themed Minecraft Map

Ever since the beheading, paranoia has taken hold of the Red King.

Dogwarts is a short Minecraft map full of secrets, made for AUFest 2024's Reverse Big Bang. You can find more information on it here, including the world download, content warnings, how-to-play guide, and a video showcase for anyone who can't or doesn't want to play through it themselves.

As part of the event I had the honor of working with two INCREDIBLE writers, Sparrow @erstwhilesparrow and Writer @capriciouswriter207!! Both of them did a masterful job bringing this story to life in a new medium, and I'm delighted that I got to have them on my team <3 Check out their fics:

The things Martyn carries with him have dwindled to almost nothing. One bucket that he doesn’t dare abandon to the capricious shadows, a handful of glass bottles. A scrap of banner that he keeps in his pocket, that he wipes his sweat on but never without feeling a little bad. If it’s the tunnels themselves that are responsible for all his misfortune, they never make a sound to suggest so. If this place is haunted, it’s not haunted by any ghosts but his own.

The enchanter must be protected at all costs. Away from prying eyes, deep below the ground, nobody but Ren will ever lay their eyes on it again. A labyrinth of dirt and stone must be dug to further protect it. The process weighs heavily on Martyn, and the tunnels themselves seem to suffocate him. It's all worth it, though. The enchanter must be safe.

And then as she's studying her notes she suddenly sees my knee braces

(I have both of them on and they're absolutely visible because they're dark blue and my pants are black)

She asks me if i have a knee injury/knee pain and i explain that yes u infact do

And she says "me too"

She continues talking about her experiences and stuff

And then asks me about what happened

So i explain (because i felt comfortable talking about it. No one ever has to explain)

And she asks me why i didn't wear it under my pants

Now my pants are literally leggings and also THE TEXTURE OF THESE BRACES???? HORRIBLE

So without missing a beat i grin and say "because that's so hard, makes me sweat a LOT, and just not comfortable. Why would i wear it under my pants if they're not helpful?"

And i see sth in her eyes

And as she keeps talking, because she KEPT talking

She eventually says "I was told to wear one too but it was too uncomfortable under my pants and i never considered wearing them over them. I was always too embarrassed"

And i tell her she has nothing to be embarrassed about

And she tells me I inspired her and I don't think I've felt this much pride ever

I told her that I'm so happy she feels that way, and no one should feel embarrassed of their body, and who cares what anyone thinks

I am so fucking happy

The desperate face of her mother blurred into that of an unfamiliar... person? They were small yet also larger than life with the way the storm didn't seem to touch them, glowing and golden but not exactly warm. Unavar didn't know if she was still hallucinating or if this was something divine, someone there to take her to wherever you have to go next. She could feel the biting wind again, though, along with the ache in her limbs and the pain of her wounds, so Unavar just had to assume her time hadn't fully run out just yet. Her grip might have been weak, but her request was still determined. With the stranger's help, Unavar heaved herself upright again and stumbled forward once more.

This is a comic for a private dnd campaign, Unavar is my character and Emery belongs to Queen-of-Chaos (not on tumblr).

the hinge is kinda a toss up. i feel like the more practical option would be to put it on the inside and just watch it carefully to make sure it isnt coming out with a vengence as opposed to it breaking Mid-Fight but if it breaks anyway its gonna impale the side of your knee which is. not great sahdjkfvdass

also i realise i didnt. clarify the hinges go on the sides outside & inside of the knee {lateral and medial apparently if u wanna get fancy} not front and back or anything
