Final Bug Fact:

The world NEEDS bugs. They keep the soil healthy, pollinate, control pests, and contribute to the worlds' ecosystem. By the end of the century, it is estimated 40% of insect species may go extinct due to habitat loss. Yes, that is very scary. But with even one beetle spared, one caterpillar rescued, and one Hollow Knight comic of all things, things will change. Because I know there's a lot more Dewi's out there than most people realize. Stay curious.

Comic Thoughts and Pictures Below!

I wanted to put here how amazing and sweet everyone has been with this comic. I finished a 75 page comic in 3 MONTHS. I am at a loss for words. That sounds crazy and it IS crazy. But man was it fun. Even on days were I wasn't able to draw due to fatigue or business, I loved working on it from start to finish. And guess what!? This is my first ever FINISHED comic :D I'm so proud of myself. I know there's some things I want to change and the art is wonky in most places...... but I'm content to let it be. What an amazing summer adventure!

I'm hoping to post the full comic on another Comic website. I may or may not edit some of the art ^w^ So I'll let y'all know when I release it.

Interested in learning what you could do to help your local insects? This is the basic stuff. Maybe make some Insect Hotels if you have the time!!! And never forget to spread the word about bugs. They need our help just as any animal on earth.

#dewi's adventures in hollow knight #thank you all for supporting this me and this comic. Truly. It means the world.#And we finally get to see Dewi's Dad! He has that iconic scar on his cheek Dewi told Hollow about.#(He got it from a Barbed wire accident as a kid. But he likes to try and convince Dewi it was from a Grizzly Bear)#Conifer almost had a heart attack from the “Map of the World” haha. His wife was beside herself #The bugs were terrified to meet his Dad. But it was kinda inevitable to have the encounter with the Beast if Dewi was in the picture.#So they sent out the only remaining heirs of the Pale King to make a Peace Agreement. It went as chaotic as you can expect.#Quirrel has taken a liking to the bugs outside Hallownest. He finds them very strange and interesting.#Also Hollow does not like the sun very much. #Dungeon Meshi #laios touden #marcille donato #chilchuck tims #senshi #animation #game dev diary #Please give a huge hand to my coding partner #who labored for over two weeks to figure out how to implement reaction animation for the battle icons.#You may also notice that I updated the battle portraits from my previous post! New and (mostly) improved!#The death screens were not changed because I didn't think they'd get used for this video.#But Chilchuck getting one-shotted and leaving due to this being outside of his pay? Accidental comedy gold.#The full sprite (I didn't realize the bottom third would be hidden) says: “NOT PAID FOR THIS”#And yeah he's smoking. He gets a smoke break as part of his contract. Let a guy have his vices. He's teetering on a divorce.#Dungeon Meshi would be a fun rpg in theory but it would need to have immersive mechanics like cooking and foraging.#And hunger and fatigue and other status effects.#A slightly more lighthearted fear and hunger sort of game.#But that is for some other fan to do. This is just a fun tech demo for us to learn RPG maker!#So...with this mini-project concluded #we now have a foundation we can pass over to our actual game!#Next game dev post will be some game assets (probably busts and battle icons for the main party)#And after that! #kingdom hearts 2 #kh2 #shadow stalker #dark thorn #heartless #my gif #this boss fight is so cool for so many reasons #it's highly memorable to me because of how it takes full advantage of the location and possesses the entire ballroom #the ballroom is such an iconic disney location so it's really cool to watch it transform into something alive and nightmarish #also how the shadow stalker cocoons itself and emerges as a monstrous form that resembles the beast himself #the shackles representing how he's confined to his castle #the vines and thorns that wrap around its whole body depict his unhealthy obsession with the rose #it even has the ability to turn invisible which could relate to his isolation and how he doesn't even exist to anyone outside the castle #this form is definitely representative of what he could be if he succumbed to his loneliness depression and anger #good designs. good fight. and very cool reaction commands

my the outsiders printing hcs and a little blurb about all of them 😌

ponyboy: pretentious af, absolutely tiny printing, mocks everyone else’s (except curlys), writes cringey love letters to curly in the most elaborate cursive ever even though he can’t read it, soda also can’t read it

soda: abhorrent printing, can barely read his own writing (or any writing), no one else can read it either, dyslexic af, failed kindergarten

darry: thinks the uppercase makes his printing look grown up, gets mocked by his brothers who say he doesn’t know lowercase, writes his whole name every. single. time.

steve: thinks the way he writes his ‘e’ is special, constantly asked by soda why there is a three in his writing (it’s the e), soda can barely read it

two-bit: doesn’t really care about his printing, can be really messy but only when he’s writing fast, letters really close together, soda can barely read it

johnny: somewhat neat printing, but super flat, fast writer, loves writing with pens and hates pencils, soda struggles to read it due to the flatness

dally: cannot read anything except for names of people he knows and words that are familiar to him, can write his own name and barely anything else, fucking stupid, pony tried to teach him how to read and nearly got murdered

curly: only writes in lowercase cause he hates tim and wanted to be different from him (he writes in all uppercase) hates writing cause his hands cramp, pony loves his printing

tim: hates how similar his printing is to darry’s so he changes it up sometimes, very squished letters (used to be different [less squished] but it was too similar to darry’s)
