this thought hit me as I was yet again staring into space thinking about xavier’s very specific gap moe

I realized this gap started after the myth story — he was plenty competent and in control during that time, but then in the current timeline he suddenly has these very adorable klutzy moments

I mean it’s very cute ofc I love xavier even if he bombed the oven in the egg tart story but it made me think—

how does a man proven to be very intelligent fail so badly at silly things

so I reread the myth and saw this scene

and suddenly it all made sense

In 2024, I saw people online celebrating my middle school and high school art while wishing me well due to my disappearance. I'm happy to say that I am well after a rough post-Covid era and a lot of growing up. During Covid's reign, I had purged the internet of what I viewed to be carbon footprints, yet people have kept the light alive in some dust clouds.

I am eternally grateful to you all for retaining such light. As the blooming adult I am now, I've learned to view everything with balance—including the broken person I was—and there are lovely works that I dearly miss as a result. Those works are the "darlings" from my young life.

@nobodys-saviour and I actually had a very short thread about this here

that +++ basically, my opinion is that to understand why xavier’s love is not limited to one mc, we need to go back to anecdote 3 / the shooting stars anecdote (which I assume you’ve read at this point)

as mc is dying in xav’s arms, she tells him, “i want to meet you in my next life, i wonder if that will come true”

to which xav replies: “it will. no matter how many times it takes, no matter where you are, i will find you”

i don’t think this kind of promise is limited to one incarnation at all. queen mc is not even xavier’s first love (his first love is shooting stars mc) but he acknowledges and explicitly states that mc is his only love, and goes on to say that he recognizes all mcs as one person

he says it indirectly, but he does say it: “i’ve only ever received a star from one person”

he says this when he receives the silver star from queen mc, puts it next to the wooden star from shooting star mc, and just basically all but admits that queen mc was his past beloved too all along

xavier is a bit complicated in the sense that he knows and respects mc’s boundaries because she is reincarnating, so when he reminisces about the past he tends to act like he’s referring to a different girl (which causes misunderstandings) but in reality i think it’s just very difficult for him to tell mc “that was you” — cause in the end, he’s just protecting her from what she doesn’t know

simply put — when xavier is talking to mc, he refers to her past selves as different girls

but when he’s talking to himself / jeremiah / or making vague references, he talks about mc and her past lives as a singular being

example:

- he says stuff like “i had a sword partner before” (talking about queen mc to linkon mc like she’s a different person)

- but when jenna told xavier to protect linkon mc he responded “she doesn’t need my protection” (implied that he knows how good she is from past experience)

i’m sure it’s very nuanced in xavier’s head too cause they have a non interference policy, so he has to be careful how he treats her

anyway i could still say a bajillion things but in the end the point I made in my og post still stands:

xavier loves every mc, and the love is both new and old, unconditional and learned every time

and that’s the beauty of it really

I might offend some people here so if something I’ve said from the following did offend anyone. Please tell me and I’ll take this down. (if the admins even approve this post.)

So, since the only solar pair I’ve got for the last half year from playing this game was Zayne’s (I’m a Zayne main). I haven’t really dived in on the other mls story that much except from reading people’s posts.

But now with the games freebies from Sylus’s debut, I have recently obtained Xavier’s solar pair. Now, I can somehow piece things together about an argument that took place here.

For backstory, people have argued that Xavier likes current MC because she is the parallel version of the Queen MC in Philos and that Xavier’s love for current MC is run by that. The argument has died down but with this post of mine, I don’t know what will happen.

Now, I’m nearly finished Xavier’s myth and I hate to admit it but… it really seems that way.

I’m just really genuinely confused 😵‍💫😵‍💫 so please, someone explain😩

Took a while to think of a name for it but eventually I settled for Rotten Rose

Uhhh probably because it's mainly focused on the frenemy type dynamic between Pinky and possessed Newton, since I always thought they could've worked well as a villain duo

Think of the au as a dystopian nightmare of a kingdom ruled by Pinky with possessed Newton (ehem, so basically just the titans) as her royal advisor or right hand man or something of the sort

Might flesh the idea out later idk, at the moment it's just two morally wrong people doing morally wrong things
