um... guys? Its 5:26AM as I'm typing this. I just finished reading the swanqueen fic "The Secret's In the Telling". AND I AM NOT OKAY.

This story blew my mind, fucked my brain, and shattered my heart. I was NOT prepared for it. Round of applause to the goddamn writer, you are incredibly talented and I admire you so much for creating such an incredibly well-thought out and beautiful story. I also adore the fact that you wrote a sequel to it which will no doubt be keeping me up tomorrow night.

Okay, anybody who hasn't read the fic- GO DO IT NOW. The storyline may seem a bit confusing at first, I sure as hell was confused at the start a little, but I swear to you, it gets SO GOOD.

100/10. I swear down, you guys need to READ IT

ONCE UPON A TIME APPRECIATION WEEK DAY 5

FAVOURITE PARALLELS TRIBUTE VID- REGINA’S TRUE LOVES’ DYING IN HER ARMS

(Argh! For some reason, the video isn’t staying perfectly in time with the music now that I’ve uploaded it onto here. That’s annoying. But anyways, I hope you like this, I worked my ass off making it.)

This is one of the saddest parallels ever and the only reason it’s my favourite is because it’s a perfect example of how far Regina has come. We all know that her first love, Daniel, was one of the many catalysts in Regina becoming the Evil Queen (more specifically, his death was). And then having Robin, her soulmate, being brought into her life years later she not only becomes a better person, but grows to believe in the possibility of love again. It’s really a beautiful full-circle story: Daniel’s love breaks her, and she becomes the Evil Queen. But Robin’s love puts her back together again, and she becomes Regina. The Good Queen. The most heartbreaking part of this is that both men die because they love Regina. Daniel loved and died for her so that she could grow into the woman Robin fell in love with and sacrificed himself for.

Regina being the one to get Emma from the wish realm was such a terrible idea...

The episode was fine and it was fun to see who was who in this new version of reality (even if I still have a lot of issues with it).

Regina is the Evil Queen, aka Snow and Charming's archenemy, aka the reason Emma became the Saviour in the first place, so it would be safe to say that something would have to happen involving Regina in order for Emma to not be the Saviour.

The fact that no one in the room, specially Regina "everyone is dumb except me" Mills, think that "hey, maybe Regina isn't the best option for this rescue mission" is ridiculous.

I'm not saying that Killian should have gone because of the possibility of more CS scenes (à la season 3 finale) - I am saying that Regina was the worst choice.

Besides, because Regina was the one to go, Emma had to endure her parent's death and Henry had to live with, not only, seeing his grandparents die but also see his mom taken away by the family's greatest enemy. Regina doesn't have the emotional pull any of the other characters could have - this seen by the fact that she thought killing Snow and Charming in front of Emma was a good idea. And while I appreciate the fact that Regina didn't retaliate against Wish!Henry's murder attempt (even though I was aware she wouldn't), it still doesn't stop it being a terrible plan.

Besides we wouldn't have that terrible misuse of Robin Hood.

I know that neither of them thought that the Wish Realm was an actual place like theirs but that shouldn't stop them having feelings towards the people in it - just like Emma was distraught over seeing her parents die, it should have been enough to stop Regina from murdering her enemy-turned-close-friend and her husband.

yeah that wasn’t me who cried for half an hour straight into my pillow and then couldn’t even bring myself to see how the episode ended after I had somewhat-calmed down, so I had to come back the next day and finish it before then moving onto the next episode only to watch in tears as Robin’s funeral played out and then seeing Killian being resurrected from the dead, therefore introducing a whole new angle of absolute gut-wrenching pain and anger from knowing that Hook was able to come back but Robin wasn’t.

I had to make like, six new categories because the options that were already there could not possibly describe half of these ships. There’s wayyy too much history behind each pair to simply put them in a row called ‘I like it’ or ‘I think they’re cute’. Anyway, lmk if you agree or disagree with my rankings.

While I absolutely adore OUAT, something that I constantly find myself completely baffled by is HOW THE ACTUAL FUCK. . .

. . .

. . . my feelings about Zelena went from “istg, I hope the Swan-Mills-Charming-Stilskin squad end up defeating her and she dies” in s3, s4, and s5A, to then pulling a 180 and turning into “istg I love her so much. If she dies, I’m gonna riot” in s5B, s6, and s7.

Like, she went from me wishing death upon her, to becoming one of my favourite characters?!

It just goes to show how awesomely talented Bex Mader is.

Yes! Because it was Emma who had done it, her first, unfiltered reaction is genuine disbelief.

And Emma hadn't even intended to hurt her! She just wanted to save "Marian's" life. But instead she hurt one of her only allies... or even friends.

And that makes this whole scene hurt so much more, on both Regina's and Emma's side.

Honestly this scene slays me, not only because Regina’s happiness is ripped from her once again in an instant, but because her first reaction isn’t even anger, but confusion and disbelief.

In my opinion Regina never really saw Emma as one of the Charmings. She may have been pissed at and annoyed by her on quite a few occasions, but Emma has still earned both her respect and her trust in the long haul, especially during the course of this season.

They teamed up against Peter Pan and Zelena and became allies - friends even. They put a lot of faith in each other and it paid off in the end. Yet just when everything seems to finally go well for Regina and she’s truly happy for the first time in a long, long time, it’s not Pan or Zelena who ends up destroying it, but one of the few people she was sure had her back.

So when I look at Regina’s face in this scene and when I hear the way her voice breaks when she asks “You did this?” (because it really is more of a question than a statement), what I really see and hear is “I trusted you.” and that honestly just about breaks me.

OUAT vs. Descendants🖤

I’m sure I’m not the only one who notices this but I just have point it out…

I know that the original concept was that the descendant’s character designs were based of the original Disney animated characters, but let’s be forreal the characters didn’t really look like their parents…

Besides similar (sometimes barely) colour pallets Mal doesn’t really look like the Disney animated Maleficent.

But she does look like…

And it keeps going…

For crying allowed both Belle (OUAT) and Ben are played by Australians… coincidence! I think not🖤

So are we never going to address the fact that Regina went GRAVE-DIGGING in season 7? Belfrey had the storybook buried with her after she died, and Regina told Lucy she would get it back.

Killian, Emma, and Henry are settling in for a movie night. The DVD starts up, and this warning comes up on the screen:

Killian: ......

Emma: ......

Henry: ......

Killian: you know what ELSE isn't a victimless crime

Emma: oh God, here we go

Killian: feckless, coward kings who can't even amass the scrap of honor it would take to do their own dirty work--

Henry: make it stop

Killian: --and send innocent men to their deaths without so much as a sliver of--

Emma: *jamming the fast forward button on the remote as Killian goes on* It won't let me skip it!

Wei Wuxian licks his lips and leans forward slightly, walking his fingers across the countertop aimlessly toward Lan Zhan. “You know, Lan Zhan,” he drawls, “A-Yuan says we’re both in the book.”

“Mn,” Lan Zhan responds, tracking the path of his fingers intently, “I am apparently Hanguang-jun, the moral upstanding hero.”

“And I’m the devious Yiling Loazu, who led you astray,” he smirks, peering at Lan Zhan through his lashes.

Lan Zhan meets his stare, head-on, lit from within like molten sunshine. “No,” he corrects, “not astray, Wei Ying.”

Wei Wuxian tilts his head, waiting for him to continue. His fingers stop their dancing, resting just inches away from Lan Zhan.

Lan Zhan shifts his own hand, bringing them even closer, their fingertips almost brushing.  

“The Yiling Loazu did not lead Hanguang-jun astray,” he says, eyes piercing as they flicker between Wei Wuxian’s. “They were partners, and…”

“Ah,” Wei Wuxian breathes, “the decent romance?”

Lan Zhan doesn’t answer, watching him closely. The pupils of his eyes have grown so large there’s only the tiniest ring of gold around the edge. He can see himself reflected in the black. He thinks he likes the version of himself that lives in Lan Zhan’s eyes.

They’re standing on the edge of a cliff, waiting for the other to take a step forward, bracing for a fall.

It should be terrifying, this sudden drop into something completely new, something entirely unknown yet so familiar. But Wei Wuxian is filled with conviction that no matter what, Lan Zhan will catch him.

It's as electrifying as it is calming, this certainty that here, with Lan Zhan, he is safe.

Wei Wuxian tilts his head to the side in a way he knows sets the unmarked skin of his neck on display. “I’m sure it was more than just decent, with a handsome hero like Hanguang-jun.”

Lan Zhan quirks an eyebrow, his gaze resting on the curve of Wei Wuxian’s neck, just as he’d hoped. "Handsome?"

“Well,” Wei Wuxian responds, tapping his index finger so it brushes against Lan Zhan’s fingertips. His skin is soft and perfect, just like the rest of him. “He isn’t wrong. You’re very handsome, Lan Zhan.”

“Really, Wei Ying?” Lan Zhan says, voice quiet and deep.

“Yep, definitely worthy of being compared to the beautiful Second Jade of Lan.”

“Is that so?” Lan Zhan shifts closer, the smell of him filling up Wei Wuxian. He smells so familiar, like something he knows intimately. Sandalwood, Wei Wuxian realizes, with sudden clarity.

Lan Zhan continues, “I would love to hear more about your opinion on my beauty and prestige, Wei Ying.”

“You don’t know anything about me, Lan Zhan. Why would you care what I think?”

Lan Zhan tilts his head, only just. “Do I need to? To want to know how your brain works?”

I commissioned this lovely artwork by the wonderful @lotuslate of a scene from my fic, once upon a time, 很久很久以前 where the entire cultivation world is cursed to live in the modern world without their memories and abilities, but of course wangxian find a way to fall in love all over again.

ouat writers really could not have been more serious about the crystal used in robin's sacrifice. they made it very clear that the victim will be dead. gone. obliterated. forever.

meanwhile killian defies all odds, walks out of hell, meets the god of all gods who is a certified captain swan shipmate™️, and is home in time for the post funeral pot luck at granny's.

I'm new to the fandom, and was thrilled by how active it still is! I've noticed there's quite a few people I've seen making posts about rewatching OUaT, so I thought I'd throw this out there to see if people were interested. I know the show's old now, but I think it'd be super cool to help the fandom come together and revitalize the love for the show. Maybe bring in new people as well!

How do y'all overcome writer's block???

I have been trying to write my stories but keep switching from story to story and not fully having any inspiration to write good quality chapters for any of them.

So, with that being said, I might be taking a break from writing and will just be reading others' works until December.

In the meantime if any of you have anything you would want to see on your favorite story/stories, I am begging you please overflow my ask box with ideas ( 😉 that could make some updates come sooner ) anyways thanks 😊
