Archie (and Pongo) is adorable, i love Ruby, really proud of Hyde and Belle & Rumple, i wish i colored Edmond's hair differently but he's still good, i struggled with Isaac's face and im gonna draw him again some other time

obviously i hate being sick

but it is fun being sick in my bed, drawing my favorite ouat characters and texting the sketches to my friend with descriptions/explanations/notes on why i like them and that i wanna give em all a lil kiss

so far i've drawn Hyde, Ruby, and Edmond (count of monte cristo, and im obsessed with how bro showed up and died in a single episode)

next up is Isaac/the Author, Belle, Archie, and Rumplestiltskin

(also i've been rewatching ouat lately too, im back up to season 3 now)

you have to be VERY careful writing ouat fic when it comes to referencing other media. sure, whatever, ouat is littered with star wars references (wookiee prisoner gag, princess leia, esb mention in season six) but i just had gideon gold quote one of darth maul's quotes from rebels and i was about to have someone mention something about how much they love sam witwer (i'm projecting) but then i remembered that sam witwer played mr hyde in ouat so now i'm wondering exactly how much star wars exists in the land without magic and if star wars media does exist that also has ouat actors (looking at you too, giancarlo esposito) and then does there just happen to be a famous actor that looks like this obscure literary character or are they portrayed by someone entirely different in their universe to avoid having the same problem that there is with the wicked poster in disney's enchanted, because elphaba on broadway was originally played by idina menzel who played nancy in enchanted and i wonder on a daily basis if someone else played elphaba in that universe (was it her understudy, eden espinosa, or someone else entirely? did idina understudy for her? is glom gazingo a thing?) and does idina menzel just not exist, or is part of the reason nancy was so willing to go to the fairytale realm was because she was tired of people telling her she looked like idina menzel all the time. keep in mind, I haven't seen disenchanted, so i don't know if that problem gets addressed there at all or if the audience is left open to their own interpretations. i may have lost the point of this post.

ykw season 7 of once upon a time would've been better if the whole coven of the eight plot was delivered better. mind you, gothel is better than fiona in some aspects (dunno how to explain it) and s7 is better than s6 in some way bc s6 was all over the place.

You know, looking back on it, in the wake of Once Upon A Time, I guess it's actually kind of a good thing my favorite underrated Disney movies (Atlantis the Lost Empire and Treasure Planet) didn't get that much attention.

I don't think I'd be able to keep a straight face if Disney's scrappy steampunk sci-fi Jim Hawkins made a deal with the Evil Queen or Rumpelstiltskin to take him to the stars or something so he could save Silver from the Wicked Witch or whoever the magical arc villain was in that season and bonding with Henry over both having pirates for dads when Henry's mom married Captain Hook.

I’m surprised that in all the seasons of OUAT, in which they have had so many characters, ranging from Snow White and Cinderella to Bo Peep and Hansel and Gretel to even Frankenstein and Jekyll and Hyde that they never had Dracula!

They had werewolves and witches and Frankenstein’s monster, but not the big bad iconic Vampire man himself, Count Dracula.

This makes me think how they would do it. Rumplestiltskin would obviously be involved somehow, Dracula would probably either be related and/or a love interest to a character at some point.

I also wonder, if they had adapted Dracula into OUAT, what characters would they keep? Would Mina and Jonathan be involved? Would Renfield still be a servant of Dracula, or something else entirely?

So many possibilities, and as a fan of the book, I am both shocked yet somewhat thankful that they didn’t adapt it, especially with how they treated a majority of their characters.
