Three little words that had shattered Crowley's heart into a million pieces the second he pulled away from that kiss. That kiss, that he'd worked up the courage to do after finally confessing his feelings again after six thousand years of winning Aziraphale's heart back over again after he'd been cast out of heaven, and he'd been made to forget who Crowley was before the fall, forget how they'd fallen in love in heaven.

Only to be rejected, and for Aziraphale to turn his back on him for heaven.

Again.

Eons ago, maybe the prospect of having his angelic status restored, being with him again like this might've overjoyed the former archangel. But now, after experiencing first hand the corruption from both sides, the cruelty, the toxic hierarchy that would never be fixed, seeing how.. absolutely dull heaven had become over millennia? Not now. Being drowned in holy water would've hurt less than this. Less than being rejected by the one person he loved in the entire UNIVERSE more than the stars he hung in the skies himself. It would hurt- But Aziraphale would have to get hurt by them himself to truly understand why he refused to return home, no matter how much his heart ached to.

Any phone calls or any attempted contact from anyone for the next several days and weeks he had ignored- He couldn't. He couldn't do this right now. He just wanted to get drunk and stay drunk for the foreseeable future. It didn't harm his 'human' form as it would mortals, so screw it. He held himself together just long enough to get home before the tears came spilling almost endlessly, grabbing a bottle from the cabinet and slumping to his bedroom, where he proceeded to kick off his shoes, snapping his fingers to where he was in nothing but a pair of black pajamas, and proceeded to get drunk and cry, cry until his chest hurt and he couldn't breathe (not that he needed to), until the feeling of exhaustion and being heavily intoxicated dragged him under.

That was weeks ago.

Or maybe longer- he'd lost track of time, doing nothing but drink and confine himself to his bedroom, feeling sorry for himself. Maybe he would sleep it off for the next bloody century. It was what he always did when they fought, or he was angry or hurt. @wayfaringstrangxr

Sorry for not getting to this sooner! I had a long and busy week and I needed some time to scroll through my follower list and pick out the cool peeps to tag in this (because I don't want to go barging into everyone's DMs/askbox). Anyway! To start! 5 things I like about myself:

I'm self-aware (weird flex but ok). Seriously though, I at least try to be aware of all my bad habits/quirks so I can try to work on them (or at least, keep them to a minimum). I fail at it sometimes, but that's alright.

I'm enthusiastic about everything I love, and don't let age stop me. I will ramble on about my OTPs fight me.

I enjoy my art, all of it, even if its not the best. Don't get me wrong, I'm frustrated with it a lot.

I try to enjoy/engage with everything, even if it isn't my genre or hobby. I think people should be allowed to enthusiastically ramble on about the things they love, even if they don't interest me personally.

I'm a realistic optimist. That is, I always consider the worst things that could happen, and plan for the worst, but always hope that things will turn out for the best regardless. Its important to stay grounded in reality, but that doesn't mean we can't wish for the otherwise. That's just how I feel, anyway!

Ok! Now onto the hard part, the tagging of people. I could do this in DMs or send them an ask, but I think this works just as well. I can also just make you go and check out their pages this way ;)

are there any fandoms you WON'T write ofc characters for? you've got such great writing and storytelling, but i wonder if there's a fandom you won't do.

Eh, never say never. I've had fandoms I didn't like back in the day and I am now aggressively apart of, and fandoms I was apart of and now aggressively don't like.

GOOD OMENS - in part because, I don't know who I would write an original female character for, and, most importantly, I don't have a story to tell. Crowley and Aziraphale are soul-mates and I will die on the hill that is their ineffable love. And there aren't any other characters within that universe I feel compelled to write for. I might write Crowley x Aziraphale fanfiction eventually, though. I do love them a lot. But it'd be pretty fluffy and domestic because that's what they deserve.

TWISTERS - I've been asked before if I would write in the Twisters universe, and the thing is ... maybe. Similarly to Good Omens, I just love Owen and Kate so much, and I can't foresee a story where Owen would choose to be with someone other than Kate. I have considered a fic where Kate's boyfriend lives and pairing Owen with another character. That is a possibility. I also considered a SadFic where Owen had a girlfriend who gets axed before the events of Twister, so he and Kate find love in each other after grief. But again, it's all very tentative. Owen and Kate are OTP.

HARRY POTTER - I am genuinely terrified. I feel like Harry Potter has evolved so much since the last time I was apart of that fandom, and the Marauders has become its own genre altogether. Harry Potter is my childhood and one of my very first original characters was a daughter of Sirius Black who I paired with Neville (BECAUSE I LOVED HIM BEFORE HE GOT HOT!) so it holds a very nostalgic place in my heart. I do actually have Marauders OFC's and characters I'd pair with them, but I think I'd be hesitant because of the fandom itself. But that might change.

TWILIGHT - I would actually really like to write a story set in the Twilight universe, but I would do major revisions. For example, I always said that in a fanfiction for Twilight I would have Alice - being the icon that she is - spend hours doing makeup on every single Cullen so they all don't look sickly pale and so they have actual color - especially fake tans, I imagine she'd go hard on Emmett in a "tanning bed gone wrong" incident for shits and giggles. I would also entirely erase Jasper being a confederate soldier, because what the fuck. The Cullens also wear contact lenses because golden eyes??? And I think I'd also go hard on the actual Imprinting and the treatment and portrayal of the Quiluete tribe and the werewolves as a whole. Basically, I would revise Twilight's whole ass lore before I even got started on a fanfiction. And I don't know how that would be received by the fandom. I also considered writing a fanfiction where a character calls out these idiocies, but I feel like that'd just be more me self-inserting and negging on the characters, ya know? But, yeah, it'd be a Carlisle x OFC fic because holy fuck he's hot.

uhhhh sort of??? for doctor who i just..... am not suuper invested in their relationships in a romantic or sexual way, i prefer just a really interesting dynamic, which is often not one that could end in a nice happily ever after yknow??? But. Twissy. twissyyyyyyyyyy twissy twelve and misyyyyyyy. i just think they have most fascinating and unhinged and, yeah, pretty sensual relationship. there's just so much there to unpack!!!! the end of the eaters of light alone.............. ough............ even their first meeting in s8................. normal people do not do that!! people with normal relationships do not do that!! like the singular ship across any media i've been most invested in is aziraphale and crowley but like... i know they're going to get a happy ending and while their dynamic is interesting it doesnt have the same level of batshit unhingedness that makes twelve and missy So Fascinating to think about. like ineffable husbands boils down to 'forbidden love' but twissy has too many layers for that. yay <3

14 - is there a character/ship you were so sure you would never write or draw but now you've changed your mind?

gonna be honest i was not sold on thoschei when i was mostly seeing tensimm stuff but twissy changed my mind completely. like the art people do for tensimm is great but idk not really my thing i cant quite get past the year that never was, but then after the end of time and then into twissy stuff there's a...... its not even a redemption arc for missy but there's a level of character development that makes it better for After the end of time. like simmmaster refusing to regenerate in teh doctor's arms & ten crying over him was, to me, something i only got at an intellectual level idk - like ok yeah he's upset cos that's teh only other time lord in existence buuuuuut he did just keep you prisoner and humiliate you and torture a whole planet for a year idk man........... like it was wild but it doesn't invoke the same feral energy in me that twissy does. does that even count as the same ship?? it kinda doesnt. idk. but idk i havent drawn tensimm but i have drawn twissy a bunch of times and if were to write a doctor who fic other than the one i've got going atm (i would put missy in it if i could but she doesnt quiiiite fit) (except i just had an au of my au idea for that lol) it would have twelve and missy in it for sure

What's the origin of your blog title?

Originally, "OnCrimsonWings" is my Ao3 username, which was a poetic kinda reference to Dante from Devil May Cry because his demon form has red wings. When I made this blog I knew I wanted it to include a reference to Lancelot/The Weeping Monk, so I just added "Lanced" to the Ao3 name.

It works on so many levels- as I also like winged Whumpees as a trope in general, and the name to me brings an image of a winged creature or person pinned by something sharp through the wing. It also works more as a poetic angel metaphor for Lancelot, as he's referred to as a dark/avenging angel in the role he's been molded into by the Church in Cursed, a role which is ultimately his downfall, like a fallen angel with crimson, or bloodied wings...

Favourite food:

I really like homemade stew and mash, but I can't make it (thanks fatigue) so I haven't actually had it in years. I love roasties (roasted potatoes) with copious amounts of butter on.

Favourite animal:

Snakes! Specifically I love Dumeril's Boas, Madagascan Ground Boas- and have one of each myself- and I have a soft spot for Boelen's Pythons and European Adders!

What were you like as a child? 

Always daydreaming in my own little world, shy, but also I had anger issues at the age of 4... so a bit of a shitbag lmao.

Favourite subject at school?

Art or Science, though I also liked music!

Least favourite subject: 

Maths. I always used to get yelled at for refusing to do homework, and for drawing in my book and putting my headphones in to listen to music. (It was actually helping me focus, but the fact I had ADHD was completely missed so I just got yelled at for it. I still got a B in my GCSEs though so fuck em!)

What's your best character trait?

I'm incredibly organised (because if I wasn't my life would be an absolute shambles as my memory is shit), and I'm very good at problem solving! If character trait more means "personality" then it would probably be that I am a very caring person.

What's your worst character trait?

I can be very stubborn and headstrong paired with the fact I am a control freak and like things organised, then that tends to frustrate both the people around me and myself...

If you could change any detail of your life right now, what would it be?

I'd cure my disabilities. Just so I could continue tattooing and take on the studio- or just open my own elsewhere, or I'd go get a career out in the field with snakes and not have to worry about fatigue, collapse, pain or dietary issues wherever I went!

If you could travel in time, who would you like to meet?

Chester Bennington, 100%. I miss him. It's one of the biggest regrets of my life that I was meant to go and see him live on that final tour and I couldn't afford the tickets thanks to an unexpected bill. He was, and still is my hero.
