I‘m quite new to the JJK fandom (watched the anime during the Christmas Holidays), so getting into contact with a fellow Sukuita shipper, makes me giddy with excitement✨

Let’s start with Yuuji🧡

To me, Yuuji’s greatest strength is his unyielding will. It doesn’t matter what you throw at him: he will pull through, he will make the impossible possible. He might crumble and lose faith for a moment but he will regroup and try again. Considering what has happened to him so far in JJK it‘s admirable that he still has it somewhat together.

I actually had to stop and think about his weakness🤔 It’s tricky because at least in the context of the JJK world it’s indicated that he cares too much and is incapable of making rational, cold blooded sacrifices: he wants to save everyone, which to me is a strength. At the same time his good heart is the source of his suffering. It eats Yuuji up that people die because he ate Sukuna’s finger, which in itself was an act of pure selflessness and trying to protect his friends and Megumi. His compassion curses people close to him. He’s basically a Gryffindor: all bravery but without a good plan for action.

Sukuna is very focused on his goals and goes about it very rationally. That allows him to push beyond of what’s thought to be possible. He doesn’t care about limitations. He doesn’t try. He just does it. He takes what he wants because he knows he can.

Sukuna’s weakness is that he doesn’t acknowledge the potential of Yuuji’s ideal. Yuuji refuses to be selfish with his powers in contrast to how Sukuna defines strength and how to obtain it. I think, Sukuna is going to learn the hard way that pushing the limits/taking your desires + not caring about anybody else don’t have to be exclusives.

What I love about their dynamic is the constant beef they have with each other because of the clash of their ideals.

On the one hand it makes for good comedy that the King of Curses is stuck with a brat, who didn’t even know who he was and who doesn’t fear or respect him one bit, but has the power to control him. On the other hand their combination has so much potential for tragedy. They seem to be Yin and Yang, somewhat completing each other and yet, they are like water and oil, they are doomed to coexist although they can’t coexist. Plus there is also the element of the lure to the dark side for Yuuji, which I’m always attracted to when it comes to shipping. Also also: Sukuna is such a spiteful jerk✨ and so unapologetic about it and Yuuji is the ray of sunshine. That alone would have been enough for me to ship them🙈

A/N: Well, this is a little embarrassing, but I sort of forgot to cross post an installation of the Grumpy Sunshine series. So... this one was a little different, some otp prompts I did while I was taking finals and also writing Two Sides of The Same Coin.

Who is the one who yells to their partner from one room and the other one repeatedly yells 'what' from another?

It's you- you're the one that yells 'what' over and over again. Bucky has super soldier hearing, and depending on what the other person is doing, usually Bucky's the one that just goes to the other room to tell you whatever he needs to tell you. But there are definitely times when he waits to hear your sigh of defeat when you just decide to leave the room you're in to go find out what's going on.

Who shops for groceries?

The two of you do it together. You tend to just aimlessly walk through the store, grabbing things that you feel like with very little rhyme or reason. Bucky, your human impulse control, is the only thing stopping you from buying the entire cereal aisle. And you're the only thing stopping Bucky from exclusively eating take-out with the occasional plum.

Who likes to make the other food?

Bucky's not good at cooking. You try to be nice about it, but his cooking skills were clearly left in the 40's when all food used to be boiled. You've currently banned him from being in the kitchen after a well-intentioned date night dinner almost burned down your kitchen. What can he say, he didn't know that an oil fire couldn't be put out with water.

Who would accidentally set the kitchen on fire while cooking while cooking?

Again, there's a reason you do most of the cooking. Bucky's been banned from the kitchen until further notice and you have no intention of lifting that ban any time soon.

Who eats the other's uneaten pizza crusts?

Bucky. Plain and simple.

How do they handle planes rides together?

You handing Bucky a parachute even though he insists that he doesn't need one. 

How do they express their feelings? 

You're an overly affectionate person, you hang all over people unless they explicitly tell you to stop or that it makes them uncomfortable. Most of the time Bucky's cool with that, because he knows that's how you present yourself to other people. What sets him aside is that you tell him about your past, you allow yourself to have a full range of feelings in front of him.

And Bucky's, he's more the silent acts of service kind of guy. He'll order your favorite food when you don't feel like cooking, or when you're upset and he buys you little knick-knacks that remind him of you. In public, he's pretty cold, he lets you hold his hand and jump all over him, but you have to work at coaxing a smile out of him. In private, he's got no problem demanding that you cuddle with him or shower him in affection.

Who kills the spiders?

You don't let Bucky kill spiders. You don't like them, you don't want them in your house, but you refuse to let him kill them. The first time you told him that, he promptly reminded you that you were living with a former assassin. You were not swayed. Instead, you make him take them outside. He doesn't have the heart to tell you that they'd probably just make their way back inside. 

Who has a hobby only the other one knows about?

Bucky's taken up knitting with you. You're not allowed to tell Sam- or Steve.

Who takes playful pictures of the other while they aren't looking?

Bucky's great at candids, not that anyone would ever know that. His lock screen is a picture of you staring out the window, a picture no one else has ever seen considering he's a real stickler about other people, excluding you, looking at his phone. Since he's upgraded to a smartphone, he's constantly taking picture of you when you're not looking. You've got an inclination to real pictures, you've got a whole wall of Polaroids to prove it, but it's kind of hard to take one without Bucky noticing.

Where do they like to go on 3AM adventures?

Nowhere! Like the real old man he is, Bucky's always saying that nothing good ever happens after midnight, and if he can help it you two won't be out wandering the street at night. If the two of you are up that late, you're watching movies, playing board games and on one occasion building an elaborate fort with all the blankets and pillows you found in the house.

Who would accidentally become a meme?

Is it an accident if Sam posts his memes of Bucky on Twitter himself?

Who worries about what they will look like when they get older?

The two of you are more live in the moment people, but on the occasion that you do think about your future with Bucky, you revel in growing old with him, in the feeling of being your average domestic couple. Bucky's less concerned about what he looks like as he gets older, and more about you suddenly realizing his past is more than what you can tolerate. On a lighter note, Sam's the one that introduced the two of you to skin care. Bucky's definitely caught you and Sam both sitting on the couch with face masks on.

Who hogs the blanket?

Bucky's a tall guy, he can't help it sometimes especially considering you've only got one of those small throw blankets on the couch. You're perfectly content with lying on his chest when he does though. Sam suggested that the two of you just get another blanket, to which Bucky vehemently objected.

Who is more likely to cry over a sad book or movie?

You're the one that usually needs a box of tissues. And though Bucky will deny it for the rest of his life, you've definitely caught him shedding a tear or two at The Notebook.

Who talks smack while playing video games?

Surprisingly, you. The first time you beat Sam in Mario Kart, you stood on the couch, jumping up and down celebrating your victory while Sam grumbled on about how it was just luck. Bucky fell in love with you just a little bit more that day.

Who sings along with the radio?

Again, you, but you haven't missed Bucky mouthing the words and nodding his head to your favorite songs.

What would their song to each other be?

For you, I mean Taylor Swift anyone? Daylight, Lover, New Year's Day, Cornelia Street, Paper Rings...The list could go on and on. 

For Bucky, Say You Won't Let Go, Can't Help Falling in Love, At Last... He thinks the best love songs are the ones that make him want to slow dance with you in the living room, and he does- constantly.

How did they know that they were right for each other?

Since you two got together, Bucky swears that it was love at first sight, loving you from the very moment you put that flower in his hand, but you're convinced that he hated, or at the very least strongly disliked, you for a long time. For you, you were sure that he was it for you when he accidentally blurted that he loved you for the first time in the middle of yelling at you for being reckless on a mission.

21: Who would get in a fight to defend the other's honor? Who tends to the other's wounds?

Elena would be the one who would fight on Ava's behalf--or try to, much to Ava's surprise. And worry. If it were nine hundred years ago, Ava would have, but you can't really just draw a sword and challenge someone to a duel nowadays, hahaha. That doesn't mean she wouldn't be clenching her jaw and looming over Elena the entire time to get the other person to back off; Elena would just be the one who would try to throw a punch for her partner.

Ava would be the one to tend to Elena's wounds :) Part of this is because she doesn't have that super-convenient vampire healing. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop her from trying to throw herself into fights. Ava would absolutely use bandaging her up as an excuse to touch her gently and with tenderness. <3 Elena tries to bandage Ava up, too, but Ava is stubborn and always insists she doesn't need it.

22: What reminds each of their partner?

If Elena is away from the warehouse for more than a few days, Ava will go into her room. Elena has a ton of foresty candles she likes to burn (with the window open). You know, those green ones that say they smell like cedar and stuff? Ava will take the lid off one to breathe the scent in, just for a little while. She always says they're way too strong, but they remind her of Elena!

Ever since Ava told her about the life she lived before the Agency, Elena takes pictures of anything she sees while she's out that involves a sword. A plastic toy sword? That gets sent to Ava. A replica she found at one of Wayhaven's many antique shops? That gets sent to Ava. A painting of a knight she sees at a museum? That gets sent to Ava, too with a message that simply says, "u."

23: Who's more likely to convince the other to stay in bed in the morning?

That would be Elena, lol. She's clingy and will roll over and drape herself over Ava like a cat. It doesn't usually work; Ava likes to stick to her routines. But sometimes, very, very rarely, she's able to get Ava to stay. She always gives in with a sigh, but then Elena will feel a hand resting against the back of her head, and she knows Ava isn't nearly as annoyed as she's trying to seem.

24: Who's more likely to give the other a massage?

Ava insists that they're unnecessary, but after a long day or an intense few hours in the training room, Elena always offers. She has special oils that smell, very faintly, like lavender. It's always hard to tell Elena no, because she gets so excited about it, lol. And Ava has to admit that it feels nice. Elena's hands are soft and warm, and she always likes to cover her in kisses, too. How is Ava supposed to turn that down?

25: Do they have any hobbies they share?

Elena likes to go hiking. She used to go alone, before meeting UB, because no one else ever wanted to go with her. But after Murphy... well, it just wasn't possible, for a number of reasons. At first Ava only went with her for protection. But Elena is different in the woods. She's quieter, and she'll spend hours looking up plants in field guides. It's a side of her that not many people get to see. Now Ava likes to go with her simply for the sake of it; she insists on packing way too many supplies and carrying the bag, and forces Elena to stop for regular water breaks.

10: Describe their first date.

It was Nat's idea, lol. She was eager for a chance to take them out for an evening, just the two of them--no mission or work to worry about. She made reservations for a restaurant in town, one of the nicer ones. But since Wayhaven's a coastal town, that means a lot of places specialize in seafood... which Marin doesn't like. They tried though, and picked through some salmon, before Nat noticed and asked for the bill. She tried to make up for it the whole time until Marin dragged her into a little bookstore/coffeeshop. They split a slice of cake that was almost as good as what Hailey makes and left with books that they bought each other :)

11: Do either try to hide their emotions if they're upset? Can the other still tell?

Nat tries to hide hers a lot more than Marin tries to hide theirs. Any time she feels even a little bit unhappy or upset, she'll try to keep it under wraps. The problem is, though, that Marin knows her well enough by now to be able to tell. And it drives them up the wall. There have been a handful of... discussions... about it.

12: Do they have many heated arguments? How do they smooth things over?

Real, actual arguments don't happen very often. Nat always tries too hard to avoid confrontation, but sometimes, that's what makes things worse. Her placating is another thing that gets on Marin's nerves. It makes it feel like Nat doesn't want them to feel their emotions, and sometimes they just need to be upset! Both of them will go off on their own to cool down, and then after a few hours, one will go find the other; it's usually split 50/50 on who goes searching. There's always lots of apologies and tight hugs and kisses, usually on the cheek (from Marin) or the forehead (from Nat).

13: Who's the bigger tease?

Nat is, for sure. She's very good at being sneaky and sly and smooth about it, and it always leaves Marin red-faced and flustered. They try their best to retaliate, but they aren't nearly as suave about it as she is. Their attempts are endearing, though. (Sometimes they go to Felix for help, which is always a bad idea.)

14: How do their personalities compliment each other? How do they clash?

Marin and Nat have a lot of the same interests, which helps a lot. For example: while Nat is neat and organized with her books, Marin is a little more... eclectic with their own. There's stacks on the floor, stacks by the bed, stacks on tables... They've also always cared very little about their appearance, because they never thought it was something important. (Becoming a detective was very exciting. No uniform!) And Nat, on the other hand... well, she's Nat.

At first, their similarities where what helped them make a connection and deepen their bond. Nat finds it fascinating that someone can be so much like her and so different at the same time, and Marin loves how gentle and caring she is. Even if Nat keeps trying to coax them into coming up with an actual organization system for their book collection. And to wear something other than the same handful of sweaters over and over. They clash the most when they're trying to get ready to go somewhere, lol.

15: Do they always say, 'I love you' before leaving?

Yes! Both of them do. Nat does it because she worries; if Marin is on their way out the door, she always makes sure to tell them, and tack on a "come home safe" at the end of it. It melts Marin's heart, and they're already a defensive driver, but their caution ramps up way more whenever Nat sees them off. Marin always makes sure to tell her, because they love the smile she gives them before she leaves. It's like the first time they told her they love her all over again. It helps make both of their days a little bit brighter <3

1. Who is the better cook?

Jargala is definitely the better cook. She's actually quite good at cooking, even though she prefers to order takeout most of the time. Her mother taught her how before she moved away and she gets guilted into helping out in the kitchen every time she visits home.

Viper, on the other hand, was mostly raised by two older brothers who found it more important to teach him how to take bets and rig card games than how to cook. He eventually learns the basics, when he's living on his own and has no choice, but he has no particular talent for it.

Despite the skill gap, Viper will cook for Jargala whenever she asks (usually when they're both too high to drive and pick up takeout). If Viper dared to ask Jargala to cook, her response would likely be "go fuck yourself." But when the mood strikes her, she'll make Water Tribe dishes especially for him (and then deny that she actually did it for him).

9. Who travels lighter?

The truth is, they both tend to overpack, but Jargala is a little bit worse. She's always moving product, even when she's supposed to be on vacation or visiting family, so that adds at least one extra suitcase to her luggage pile. Then there are her crystals, which she brings with her both for bending and for their spiritual properties. She also travels with all of her skincare and hair care products, plus moisturizers and perfumed oils, and packs a robust wardrobe.

Compared to all of this, Viper packs relatively light. Except, he travels with half a dozen water pouches—filled with bending water from a variety of sources—for different occasions. He also carries flasks filled with top shelf bourbon, at least two types of cologne, and a box filled with his rings and gold chains.

16. Who hogs the covers?

Jargala hogs the covers because she 1) goes to bed earlier, so she has more time to get wrapped up in them and 2) gets colder over all. Viper doesn't mind losing the covers—he even furnishes her side of the bed with fur blankets he got from the Northern Water Tribe—but he prefers when she kicks them off and snuggles up against him.

Nali's a menace because she wears those string bikini's that temp Rosie to pull the strings off, but in turn Nali has to fight the urge to undo Rosie's top to get a handful of her tits so !!!!!! Rosie's white ass for sure burns easily so she's constantly asking Nali to reapply sunscreen on her because she does Not want to deal with being burned😭 Nali's more of the tanning oil kind of girl, she wants a nice tan, Rosie makes sure she doesn't fall asleep.

But for actual jealousy, Denali gets a bit bratty/bitchy when she sees someone else flirting with Rosie or trying to talk her up. Whats hers is hers. As for Rosie, I think hers will stem mostly from over protectiveness more than anything, occasionally from deep rooted insecurity from her past.

A Year in the Life: February

Twelve vignettes from the married life of Tara Lewis and Emily Prentiss, written for the Year of the OTP writing challenge.

Prompt: Valentine's Day

Warnings: swearing, alcohol mentions, gets a little steamy but no actual smut

            “I don’t like surprises,” Emily warned her wife on the morning of February 14th.

            “I know,” Tara nodded.

            “So whatever you’re planning that you don’t want me to know you’re planning—”

            “I’m not gonna tell you!” Tara laughed.

            “I’ll figure it out.”

            “Sure you will, babe.”

            “I’m an excellent profiler.”

            “So am I.”

            Tara smiled smugly and remained tight-lipped and inscrutable, and all Emily could do was sigh and kiss her wife’s cheek and wait for the surprise she knew awaited her today.  She had to admit, if she had to be surprised, a surprise from Tara was not so bad—in fact, Tara was pretty good at giving Emily surprises she actually liked.

            And so all day, Emily waited for her surprise.  She thought Tara might surprise her at work—maybe there would be a box of chocolates waiting on her desk or a midday flower delivery for her.  When Tara stopped by her office at 12:30, she grabbed her coat in anticipation of being taken out for a Valentine’s Day lunch, but Tara just grinned slyly and handed Emily a stack of completed case reports.  She’d be lying if she said she didn’t enjoy watching Emily wait for her surprise.

            No surprises arrived for Emily during the workday, and when the end of the day rolled around and she looked into the bullpen and saw that Tara had already left without her, she concluded that the surprise must be waiting for her at home.  Sure enough, as soon as she opened the front door of their house, she was struck by a mouth-watering aroma, and she knew that Tara had made her favorite garlic butter lamb chops.  The table was already set for two, complete with candles and a single red rose in a slender glass vase.  Tara pulled out Emily’s chair for her and then reached for a crystal decanter of deep red wine.

            “Châteauneuf-du-Pape,” she said, “For a special occasion, and a special woman.”  She poured the wine into two glasses and sat across the table from Emily.

            Emily raised her wine glass.  “To my lovely wife, who always spoils me,” she said.

            “To my lovely wife, who deserves to be spoiled,” Tara replied, clinking her glass with Emily’s.

            Emily closed her eyes and moaned as she chewed the first bite of her lamb chops.  Tara was an excellent cook, and she’d prepared the chops exactly how Emily liked them, accompanied by roasted asparagus and red potatoes, and almond pound cake from Emily’s favorite bakery for dessert.  Emily cleared away the dishes and then returned to the table and straddled Tara’s lap, wrapping her arms around Tara’s neck.

            “Thank you for my surprise,” she said, smiling coyly and batting her eyelashes at Tara.

            “I’m glad you liked it,” Tara said, “But this isn’t your surprise.”

            Emily frowned.  “It’s not?”

            “No,” Tara shook her head with a soft laugh, “Come on, let’s go upstairs.”  She ushered her wife up to the bedroom and watched as Emily opened the door and stepped inside to see the array of scented candles, massage oils, and vibrators Tara had set out for their night of romance.  Tara stood behind Emily as she quietly unbuttoned her blouse and shimmied out of her pants.

            “Ready for your surprise?” she asked.

            Emily turned around to see Tara standing in the bedroom doorway in a green satin bustier with matching lace-trimmed panties and black sheer thigh-high stockings with a garter belt.

            “Holy…Fuck…” Emily breathed in awe as she took in the sight of the goddess standing before her.

            “Happy Valentine’s Day, baby,” Tara said.  She kissed Emily passionately as her hands landed on that off-center belt buckle, and Emily’s clothes began falling to the ground as Tara walked her back to the bed and laid her down on the mattress.  She climbed on top of her wife and nuzzled her nose against Emily’s.  “So,” she purred, tucking a lock of silver hair behind Emily’s ear, “How do you feel about surprises now?”

            Emily laughed and kissed her wife.  “I love ‘em!”

Soft OTP prompts

18. Write about how each member of your ship smells. 

essentially they smell the same since even before their souls were fused they were so much alike.

the smell of fresh and old cigarette smoke somehow mixing, sweat (also old and fresh), cheap body wash/ deodorant (think old spice), whatever smell of the previous night partying lingers on them and that mildew-y smell when you leave your clothes in the washer for too long because you couldn't be arsed to put it in the dryer.

that might sound a bit boring at first but since they are mirrors for each other they eventually realise how bad they smell. whether they care about that revelation or not is a different question entirely.

additionally v has that sweet smell on her breath from drinking too much nicola/ spunky monkey/ energy drinks though i think most of it gets covered up by the smell of menthol cigarettes. she also uses gel/mousse/ hairspray to style her hair which would make for a prominent scent. there is a slight hint of wax on her since she uses it to make her clothes repel water. punks often use floss for their stitching so if she just got done customising some clothes i think there is that mint-y smell as well.

to add to the nastiness: you can def smell if she's on her period. not by walking past her but if somehow the other smells didn't bother you enough and you get close and personal with her, there is that metallic-y blood smell.

johnny on the other hand doesn't smoke menthols, he's also got that leather-y smell from his pants (is it real leather? i doubt it but it's not impossible) he probably also wears some cologne some groupie got him to impress him. though i doubt he does a lot of maintenance on his arm i think there is the smell of grease/ oil wafting off it, as well as any other liquid/ (bodily) fluid that is stuck within it's creases.

Dredger?

I don’t have a whole ton of stances on the Dredger but I’ll try my best here

Favorite thing about them: The Dredger has very little canon substance so instead I’m just going to ask a question here. Do you think he built the fishing-claw himself or he just operates it and P03 built it? I’m imagining it’s the latter but the concept of the Dredger also being waterproof and able to do underwater repairs in the factory is also pretty interesting.

Least favorite thing about them: P03 should’ve let it talk a little more in his game. Which is absolutely not Dredger’s fault but it should’ve been a questgiver or something at least (I see why it wasn’t a boss obviously—P03 isn’t about to partition his power for any reason—but giving a little side quest for robobux or something would’ve been fun, albeit a little out-of-place if Dredger was the only quest-giver).

Favorite line: Apparently it has a unique line if you beat it on round 1 instead of advancing to round two (and therefore getting the surrender because its too busy focusing on work). I don’t have a screencap, I just thought that was interesting.

brOTP: Aside from the other bots who the Dredger probably chats with between shifts, I can’t see the Dredger actively talking to many people. An extremely funny mental image though is all four of the “fisher” characters (Angler, Goobert, Dredger, and Kaycee) occasionally meeting up for drinks. Except Goobert can’t drink because he’s a liquid, Kaycee can’t drink because she’s a skeleton, and the Dredger has to bring oil from home. Also they canonically have a rivalry, so three of them are very blatantly trying to one-up each other at all times while Kaycee films them on the Nokia flipphone she found in her jacket pocket. It’s awful for everyone involved. And by everyone involved I mean Rebecha who has to clean this shit up.

OTP: I don’t think I’ve seen a single ship with the Dredger and I’m not about to invent one here

Random headcanon: Because all of the Scrybes do morally dubious shit I’d imagine P03 probably soft resets its worker bots/makes sure their loyalty is still at the maximum every time it has to preform routine maintenance on them/rebuild them after its boss fight. Dredger is pretty beat-up looking and therefore probably doesn’t get rebuilt as often as the other two. Because of the lack of maintenance he’s the least dogmatic of the bunch—P03 tolerates this only because he’s got the most important job of the three (post-OLD_DATA discovery, that is) and wouldn’t want to cause any unnecessary complications with that (and—as much as he hates to admit it—the Dredger does offer pretty decent advice. Wouldn’t want to wipe that by accident).

Unpopular opinion: I cannot think of a single unpopular opinion regarding the Dredger from Inscryption. Can I count the Steambot Finn headcanon here? I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else share that one, but it’s still fun to me (even if it doesn’t really work according to the timeline).

Favorite picture of them: This is such an oddly specific detail but I genuinely like the way the rust/algae/general water damage is pixelated here. It makes the metal look a lot more “worn” than the others (almost similar to P03’s own grime on its head/screen/chassis—to a greater extent, of course) and reflects the fact that. Y’know. You’re putting a robot right next to the ocean. Obviously that one is going to look more weathered.

OTP Asks: 14, 43, 50; Nikolai/Daniel, for the comics 1969 Team

Which one stubbornly tries to pretend they aren’t sick? Daniel is a Pink, so was there ever any doubt? True, he’ll do his very best to actually take care of himself; wear thick cardigans and drink disgusting teas, eat wholesome foods and take moments to himself to decompress from a day of being busy. But he will always keep being actually sick to himself until he is pouring buckets of sweat and squinting at everything--and everybody--as if he needs glasses. He did amuse Nikolai once when they both had the flu and Daniel tried to take care of both of them when he confused the coffee pot for the Russian ex-spy though. That was funny.

How do they say ‘I love you’ without actually saying it? Ex “Have you drank any water today?” Daniel can and will say, “I love you,” easily and often, but he will also say things in excess, such as, “You are my sunshine, my moon, my starry night,” and “Sweetheart, honeypie, darling~” complete with full-body hugging Nikolai even when his hands are full.  And also kissing the Blue Ranger...everywhere. Eyes, knuckles, the corners of his mouth, the crown of his head, his neck. It’s pretty great to watch Nikolai burst red, when after the blond takes a shower, Daniel always manages to kiss him dead center on the chest before walking along like nothing happened. Admitting to love and affection in a verbal way where anyone can hear is not something Nikolai can do with his upbringing and background. So it’s making sure Daniel’s morning slippers and terrycloth robe are always clean and fluffy, drying roses and dandelions to make into tea to be sat in front of the bohemian on a bad day, twining around Daniel at least three times a week to rock in their bedroom for hours and hours until their neighbors are banging on their door making noise complaints; and then cleaning them both off with a warm, wet cloth. Who is more likely to cling to the other while they sleep? Daniel tucks himself against Nikolai’s chest or belly almost every single time they lay down to sleep together, but it’s Nikolai that wraps his arms around Daniel to make sure he doesn’t go anywhere. Those big hands on back or chest or belly being the most secure thing in the world for one, and the soft skin that always smell like incense and massage oil the thing that makes one calm and real.

Hmmm. Interesting couplings there.

I mean, people can ship who they want, but I don't personally see a lot on here that I would ship besides Lydia/Malia and Lydia/Cora. I'm not sure if I've published any works on Ao3 with Cordia but I have written them into my Sterek fics before, even if they're only WIPs currently. Sterek is my OTP so if I write other ships, they're mostly background.

Cordia feels right to me because Lydia tends to have a thing for people who are kind of an asshole. And Cora can be an asshole. They actually give me female Sterek vibes, if I'm being honest, except Derek is secretly a marshmallow boy, while Cora is just prickly from what we've seen of her. I have a feeling though that, of all people, Lydia could find her mushy center under all that hard shell.

Lydia and Kira feels too opposite to me, but not in an opposite attracts kind of way though. Yes, they're both badass ladies but in different ways, if that makes sense. I'd rather ship Kira with Scott or Malia. Both Scira and Malira feel right to me in an intuitive way that's hard for me to explain.

Erica and Allison just ugh. I can't see Erica ever forgiving Allison for shooting her and Boyd full of arrows. Erica is a grudge holder. We see that in her transformation from sickly teen to sexy werewolf. She wants revenge. She wants her former bullies to grovel and beg for forgiveness. She's stubborn as all hell, and so is Allison. Not even an enemies to lovers could fix that. They'd be like oil and water, never mixing. But hey, try it out if you want.

Erica, Theo, and Isaac is also a nope for me. My own headcannon is that Isaac would likely kill or want to kill Theo if they were in the same town and had to interact. He would've sniffed Theo out for the murdering psycho he was. Especially if Theo somehow had killed Scott while Isaac was around. He'd be toast. And Erica... maybe she'd dig the bad boy about Theo, but with how he treated Stiles, she'd be out for blood too. While Isaac may have thwarted him and not actually killed him, Erica would not have had any qualms slashing his throat.

I guess you could make the argument that a sexy, murdery threesome would occur. I could see Erica and Isaac getting a taste just to get his guard down and kill him. Maybe it'd make be an interesting read. But I wouldn't write that myself.

I'm more down for an Erica, Boyd, Isaac sandwich (although I'm more of a solo Berica shipper). Or Scott, Allison, Isaac.

I always think of Piltover as the oil (topside) and the Undercity as the water (bottom), since that's how they would configure naturally.

The way the heat from the bottom of the lava lamp causes the wax to expand and rise, and then picks it back up again when it cools down and falls is akin to how they're always there to lift each other up. (No matter how "broken" they are)

Just like heat is necessary to create the serene flow of a lava lamp, initial conflict (both between them and around them) was needed to create this dynamic.

The lava lamp encapsulates their relationship so well. When you gaze at the suspended globules, you get this sense of peace and simple joy. Time seems to slow down. And I can only imagine that's what it feels like when they look at each other.

And I think we can all agree that, just like a lava lamp, they're a hot mess.
