I don’t watch Arcane— it just didn’t grab me the first time I watched it. It was pretty and a landmark work of animation!

It is honestly really cool… unfortunately, and I thought it would grab me because on paper it looks like my jam. It’s great!

Emotionally, it didn’t hook me in as I thought it would.

“What was your first impression of this character? How about now?”

Listen I loved her from the start and frankly nothing has changed. I understood her desire to prove herself as useful/more than a nuisance/more than a jinx as a kid. I mean, doing everything possible to the extent of being willing to sacrifice herself as a kid.

Seeing her then change to Jinx, y’know act one and all, I think her grandiosity appealed to me because it’s very much a front. Larger than life, no shame in her game; I think it’s a wonderful depiction of doing what you’ve gotta to survive and making yourself stronger for it.

Act two really shines an already flickering light on Jinx’s warmth as a character or her nuance whatever you wanna call it. I def think some relationships (ie her and Sevika) should’ve been more developed further in s2 but that’s fine. She still stood out to me easily as a favorite character.

TL;DR: I love Jinx and loved her from the getgo, it’s just rlly early for me to be writing a lot rn but I wanted to answer !
