How quickly did/will they fall in love? - honestly. i know this version of (your)negan x (my)maggie is different from (my)negan x (your)maggie, which i think it's great cause it's like different versions of how they fell in love. or the relationship started & such. def didn't fall in love right away. the issues between them are a huge part of why, but I think the hate/the tension that clouds around them is too heavy for them to ignore. all that hate maggie has for negan. enemies to lovers on the real deal. cause while she spends a lot of time hating him, trying to kill him- we know that just ends in hate sex, fucking the hate out as the kids say. my main is indeed bloodhound. i also whip out fuse, mirage, and to a lesser degree octane, but mostly i'm a one trick bloodhound. they were what got me into the game in the first place back in season 7 when i heard their 'i'm afraid of heights :(' voicelines (a cool hunter nonbinary character voiced by none other than allegra clark? sign me tf up), and even though i am Very Bad At Shooting and don't actually like battle royale-type games apex stayed my brainrot for over two years. the brainrot is definitely over now and these days i play it as a social thing, but that's how i acquired 2k+ hours lmao

also they released a magpiehound recolor called 'frosthaven' that i gleefully snatched up and have been wearing it ever since (ft the magpie holospray and the magpie mural on their latest map. i think they are catering to me specifically)

i had SO MUCH bloodhound art over on twitter good god. out of the following two drawings, the first one was bought out by allegra to sell as signed prints, and the second one was reposted onto apex's IG account, and in general this was the one time i genuinely had a blast on twitter interacting with all the devs and vas before everything went downhill both in respawn and on twitter lol. also i have to say, s10 and the whole White Raven thing fed me so. so so. SO well. the existential angst was incredible.

i participated in a couple of zines/projects as well! i have many thoughts about their canonical(!) respawn system and the resulting unimportance of death. adds to the existentialism and to bloodhound's religious themes

overall it was a very, very prolific period for me, and there are many pieces i'm still very happy with to this day

(^ the second to last one is a reference to the fusehound confession scene, and the last one is related to one of my fics, wooden bones (forest deity!bh au))

shipping!!! miragehound was my initial and most prominent ship, and i will never forgive respawn for not expanding on their backstory (their mothers worked together COME ON. they might have met as children! COME ON!!!!! i have a whole series exactly about the What Could Have Been)

their backstory with boone also fascinated me for a very long time, and my friends and i spent many a yap session dissing the dude until we stopped and thought, hey, what if he really was Just Some Guy who made mistakes, what if he wasn't evil, and that's what pulled me right back into the brainrot when i was already starting to slowly recover from it. boone now has a very elaborate backstory and lore and i hope to god respawn never puts him in the games the way we did because a) they don't GET him and b) i don't trust the fandom with him lmao. i'm super down to blabber about him though just say the word. he's everything to me, my big, sad, hairy man

we also invented in-game stuff for him. he had abilities and skins etc etc (the top row of skins is his titan pilot backstory + talos era + 'default' in-game skin)

where miragehound and boonehound flourished, mirageboonehound wasn't far behind! i wrote how it came to be and all. also Рorn. so much Рorn. seriously.

also this was the first time i redrew the twelfth night as my otp. the second one was mouthwashing

fusehound was an absolute delight to watch blossom, especially since we know it wasn't planned and just Kind Of Happened. i felt that lmao. characters be like that. i'm a bit sadge they shelved the whole talos plotline in favor of romance but at this point i gave up on expecting good lore from apex, especially after they fired herr frozenfroh. i didn't draw fusehound nearly as much, BUT i do have one fic that was basically a dream i had lol

honorable mention goes to revhound!! this is the ship that went really hard with artists and writers. deeply painful, deeply compelling, absolutely incredible. mindblowing angst and just as mindblowing рorn, together or separately. best shit. the one ship i didn't write for because compared to the fandom's behemoths i never felt like i'd be able to contribute anything meaningful lol, i just got to sit back and enjoy

apex and bloodhound also REALLY, REALLY got me writing. i came into the fandom already relatively warmed up after a 170k fire emblem fic, but i ended up writing 200k+ for miragehound, mirageboonehound, and fusehound combined. i was unstoppable. it was insane. i've linked some already but you can peep them all here. bloodhound's pov was especially fun to write for, purple prose my beloved

also you asked me about heirlooms! i'm a lucky motherfucker who managed to get one set of shards from the 500th box and another from just the random 0.4% chance. so i have bloodhound's and fuse's as they are my most played characters :)

favorite thing about them:

in the manga: the scene where soichiro and light are both panicking because mello is demanding L's real name and matsuda reaches past light and types touta matsuda. this is my favorite matsuda scene in general it's so good he's impulsive and self-sacrificial and he would die for those yagamis

in the anime: the scene where he calls L during yotsuba and tells him the statistic about misa-misa's rising popularity in eighteen. (in the manga he actually gets the call from misa's manager about it, in the anime he makes it up himself which is SO much cooler. he really wanted them to stop fighting!!!)

least favorite thing about them: this isn't really a least favorite thing but i hate-love how he has a great relationship with misa and still cheers on light cheating on her. it's so fascinating. i don't really think matsuda sees either her or light as real beyond the performance to be honest, i think he feels like he's watching a cool soap opera and is completely failing to consider any of the Moral Quandaries.

favorite line: "what was it all for?"

brOTP: him and ide riff off each other so well. i love that matsuda immediately picks up on ide's insecurity about romance and then proceeds to drag the joke into the ground by bringing it up even when it's not relevant.

OTP: matsuliiiiight <3 everyone read metempsychosis right now if you haven't. i love that all the women matsuda apparently has crushes on are the women orbiting light yagami (sayu, misa, kiyomi) and that he also sees them kind of as stage props in the greater Light Yagami Show.

i also love that light kind of took his loyalty for granted and looks genuinely betrayed in the warehouse. the Turtleneck Scene where matsuda talks about how he kinda-sorta supports kira is everything to me in this regard since it is like the only time arc 2 light is ever honest even to himself. on some level light thinks matsuda is the only one who Gets It even though he doesn't even really like matsuda all that much, because matsuda is the only character in the entire show who has No facade, who can't help but be open about everything he thinks, and maybe some part of light envies him for it.

nOTP: uh… unironic uncomplicated matsu/misa but i don't think anyone really writes that… OH. law/tsuda. i really want to be convinced of this i just haven't seen anything that personally appeals to me yet

random headcanon: he and misa bond over substance abuse post-canon

unpopular opinion: he is a kira supporter i don't know why no one talks about this. he is not subtle about it. he asks "are we sure catching kira is the right thing to do?" every five minutes. i've seen people argue that he was trying to empathize with kira and both-sides it but honestly it reads way more like he already agrees with kira's ideals and just disagrees with how to go about them

chapter three! it's his defining character trait! he gets it before he gets a recognizable hairstyle!!!!

and then chapter 75, right after the explosion. im writing all the dialogue out because i love this conversation SO much

matsuda: do you really think kira is evil? [...] to tell you the truth, i just can't make myself believe that kira is completely evil.

mogi: do you think that kira is righteous, then?

matsuda: i don't know if kira is good or evil. and i'm serious when i say i'd give my life to capture kira… but i also think that kira is fighting against evil. [...] to the weak and earnest, the world is definitely becoming a better place to live…

aizawa: that's not true. the world might be more peaceful, but that's because people are afraid. a peace based upon murder and fear is not a real peace.

matsuda: i know. i do know that. i know that kira is a mass murderer.

i just. god. i don't know why people erase this when it's literally what makes matsuda matsuda.

look at everything he says that's anti-kira. it's all things like "kira's a psychopath" "kira's a mass murderer" "i'm a cop so it's my job to catch him." there's nothing about his ideals that's wrong to matsuda, no actual criticism of his regime beyond buzzwords. honestly i think matsuda could even excuse the killing if not for the fact that he's a cop and it's his job to catch criminals. it's his duty. he's papering over all his doubt with Well I'm A Cop So I Guess I Gotta.

the reason he shoots light in the warehouse isn't because of all the criminals dead at light's feet. the reason he shoots light is because of soichiro. because light lied to him. it's a personal betrayal. he doesn't actually care about any of light's victims beyond the people he knows. remember: everyone else is a prop in the Yagami Show, which he was told was a family sitcom and has just been revealed to be a psychological horror.

anyway sorry this makes it sound like i dislike matsuda I REALLY DON'T his moral grayness is what i love about him!!!! where else do you get "i have signed my soul to the police force (fascism) but i can't help but be tempted by the vigilantes (also fascism)" he's so awful. he's everything to me

That's Eddie's whole thing when it comes to Buck. He's a soldier. He is calm and collected under pressure. He's extremely reasonable. Except when Buck is involved. Buck almost dies every 6 months and he made Buck Christopher's legal guardian in case something happened to him. He tried to pull Buck up even though that was definitely not the right move at the moment. He can't seem to think straight when it comes to Buck and it's insane. I don't really blame him because since he met Buck, Buck has been a person who always helped him but never in a way that made him feel unfit, so he's not rational about him. The do more is just the icing on the cake. A verbal confirmation of something that's very clear about the way Eddie interacts with Buck.

I can't stop thinking about the do more. That's such a desperate thing to yell to a team of doctors. Eddie was a medic. Eddie is a first responder. He knows they always do everything they can. But he needs someone to tell him that they'll go above and beyond for Buck like he just went. Because Eddie got hit by the same lightning and he reacted unbelievably fast for the situation he was in. He was thrown of the truck and he managed to lower Buck down with an impressive efficiency. But that was all he could do. He could do the rescue. He could drive the ambulance. He could do CPR. He could shock him. But that's where his abilities end. So he needs the doctor's to do more.

Propaganda: They understand each other on a level that nobody else is capable of. Nobody else can get so close and come out in one piece. Bedelia Du Maurier comes the closest, but even she is afraid of Hannibal and loses her leg. Anyway it's not my otp but I think Sam x Evan would be fun because I keep picturing Sam being the very famous very beloved host of a TV show that is internationally acclaimed and the obssession her fans would have with the fact that she's dating Evan, who to them is 'just a dude'.

I think Evan would see Sam's fans call him boring but nice enough and speculate why Sam broke up with Timothee Chalamet to date a nobody, and be so stunned that such a large number of people could be aware of his existence and have the prevailing opinion that's he completely uninteresting that he may start crying tears of joy.

I think that Evan would take Sam seriously, because he's fundamentally aware of how capable Sam is, and more importantly of how afraid and aware she is that other people don't. Evan wouldn't let thoughtless or intentionally rude/snarky comments about Sam slide regardless of what setting they were in, and this would be good for Sam because she has someone to back her up and remind her those people are being shitty to her. (This would also endear a large part of her fanbase to Evan).

Also I'm still of the opinion that Sam and K dated before Gowpenny so I think it's absolutely very funny and in keeping with my own queer friend groups to think of one person's exes starting to date each other but also that person's current dynamic with each ex are wildly different.

And finally, I think Jammer would be extremely glad that he is not involved in any of that but he would send Evan all the funniest memes Sam's fans make about her boring af boytoy and listen to K panic about what to get their exes for Christmas.

I'm gonna ramble about some headcanons and lore for them under the cut, continue with caution bc I'm insane

These two are my brainrot rn, don't even joke lad. And I wanna tell yall their name meanings too bc I like them a lot 🥹 Zephra's means "west wind" derived from Greek, and it's the feminine version of Zephyr. Tyrian was a type of purple dye used by the Ancient Phoenicians, huge huge HUGE thanks to my pookie bear @miothefish for helping me out with his name!!! Also he has Lisa's butterfly earring and you can't see bc of the angle but Zephra has the rose that went in her hair holding her ponytail <3

I'm also making a massive family tree for the characters as a go along, and just the jeanlisa tree is taking up half of the canvas bc of the KoF and Sumeru characters since Cyno is their uncle and the rest of the gang are their honorary uncles 😭 I'll be posting that once the series is done/all the requests are finished/I run out of ships and otps I enjoy

Here's an alternative version with some more info on most of the characters I wanted to briefly mention in their relation to them; Tyrian likes calling Eula his aunt too even though she was never really considered one for them so it's kind of like her unofficial title she pretends to dislike but she loves it and dotes on Tyrian 🤭 She and Diluc also helped train Zephra with a claymore and Diluc kind of became a parental figure to her in her teen years after Lisa's passing 🥺 She also feels like she's outshined by Jean and that she's not smart or powerful enough to follow in Lisa's footsteps (something that Lisa wouldn't want anyways bc it led her to her death 😔) rip zephra she's just like me fr

And yeah some Kaeya angst bc he's still going thru it I fear, and Jean is single mombossing but she's worried for zephra which me too dawg, im afraid to say she might be cooked 😦 Zephra is also kind of like a weird mix of Lisa when she was her age and Jean, where overall she's well-mannered and kind but she can be competitive and feel the need to push herself too much and pull a few strings to get what she wants from time to time. Tyrian is a ray of sunshine tho, he has not yet witnessed the horrors 💔 I do think that Jean is also a lot easier on him than her mom was with her so that also helps. He's very shy tho and wants to stick with Zephra or Razor most of the time, and they both have some nasty tan lines from going out with Razor and Klee and Fischl a lot 😔 Cyno also freaking loves them and dotes on them and Tyrian is getting a TCG addiction because of it smh, Cyno is also one of Zephra's favorite people and when she's in Sumeru she stays with him and Alhaitham (bc in my universe they are married ough I love cytham)

And (I think?) Klee physically and mentally ages slower than humans so I think she'd be technically 9 or 10, and Zephra is left with babysitting duty most of the time if she's home on break or smth 😭 Klee really looks up to her tho

Also, I wrote Tyrian's last bullet point like he was super young when Lisa died, but I think he was around 7 so he actually remembers Lisa better than I intended it to sound, he was just younger than Zephra (who was 11 at the time) and just didn't have as much time with her as Zeph did, but his most fond memory of Lisa was reading with her and she probably taught them some potion-making skills too.

I think there will be some abyss angst in here too at some point, since I hc Lisa to be probably an Abyss Lector/Harold (I forget which is which) um so thinking that Zeph and Tyrian experiencing some not normal things happening and Jean doesn't know what to do since Lisa also didn't really know what that dog in her was until it was too late 😔 That's what Kaeya's for tho since he's like the heir of the abyss???? Go off king. Also some touchy ragbros angst bc Kaeya is scared for Zeph knowing how close she is with Luc and he doesn't want him to push her away because of her being from the abyss or smth (they mostly made up but it's still a fear in Kaeya's mind both for him and Jean's kids)

I think that's all I wanted to touch on for now?? Mainly just thinking about domestic fluff and angst all the time now 🥺 Zeph not being able to be open with Jean bc she feels like a disappointment but Jean would literally actually die for her and shes proud of her no matter what ough im going to lose my freak dawg guess who my favorite fankid is it's super hard ik

Favorite thing about them: My guy has style, that is also an unpopular opinion (as I don't see a lot of folks talk about that). He pulled up with them purple acrylics, tattoos and pink hair and I was sold! Okay, but for real, Sukuna is just so unapologetically ruthless and I admire that especially mirroring Yuji's personality (my other favorite).

Least favorite thing about them: Sukuna, my guy, why you gotta kill and eat people? Why you gotta mistreat my boy, Yuji and his co?

Favorite line: This one is unfair because he has a lot of lines I like. If I had to choose one... I'd go with his "Are you pitying me" line in 265.

brOTP: Don't care what anyone else, Uraume and Sukuna are a pair you just do not separate. Ride or die besties right there! And while they're not exactly friends, I really like Sukuna's relationship with Yuji. The animosity between them entertains me.

OTP: You know what, while there are some Sukuna ships that would make me go "hm, I like that", I'm coming to the realization that I really don't have a Sukuna ship that I really, really adore so much that I think about it all day? Like, I don't really have that One True Pairing for Sukuna.

nOTP: Kind of the same sentiment here as above. I don't really care enough, I guess? There are ships that I'm just not into, my own personal preferences.

Random Headcanon: Isn't into spicy food. I don't know, I look at Sukuna and while I know he definitely will eat seasoned food, I don't think he'll be hyped about spicy food.

Unpopular opinion: Well, other than the he has some style opinion... hm... you know what? I know folks like to say "oh, Gege is always glazing Sukuna" or whatever, but I don't blame him. Honestly, Sukuna does feel like a character Gege had fun writing in the sense of "I'm not afraid to make this character evil". Like, for all or at least most of the villains in JJK, I like that Gege wasn't afraid to make them well... evil. I doubt he really even tried to make them sympathetic, including Sukuna with his ending. Just trying to make the action of those character understood.
