i drew vax for you last time, so i thought this year i'd draw a different oc of yours! normally i would stick to the valentine's day theme but since nishiki has different forms i really wanted to do something with that! also i made a mistake, since this is technically their reflection their eye colours should've been the other way around but i didn't notice it until right this moment, as i am typing out this post ;;> < pls just pretend i did it correctly lol

i've said this before but i'll say it again, your ocs are so cool! i really liked reading about nishiki (and larkspur!! i wanted to draw an accompanying piece with her but i didn't have time ;;) i still have not read ilw but i love reading about your mcs/ocs and their interactions with the ilw crew!

TG characters & who's out listening to the neighbours arguing again

Koma is the meme of the guy vacuuming the driveway. Any excuse to get nearer to the action.

As soon as he works out it's not ghoul related, Amon closes the window. He doesn't wanna hear this shit.

Itori doesn't know who Louise is, but wants to. She sounds like a party. Recognises the subtle slur of inebriated angry women.

Hide is a little averse to arguments, as is Ken. The former doesn't enjoy hearing others' misery, and the latter finds it a bit triggering.

Neighbourly arguments are a goldmine for Eto. If it isn't gossip, it's inspiration for her novels.

Nishiki acts like he's above it, but when he hears that Mr Neighbour has been shagging everything on the street he's listening.

When it sounds like the neighbours aren't tiring themselves out, Yomo will knock doors. Mostly to get them to stfu, but also to make sure everything's ok (especially if the neighbour has kids in the house).

Tsukiyama has missed out on the experience of noisy neighbour fights ☹️

Roma, Suzuya, Uta and Nico are out on the street feet away from the quarrelling couple encouraging them. They choose sides too.

Touka is a slams-the-window-loudly kinda person. If she wanted to listen to bullshit, she'd have stayed at work.

Saiko sleeps through the entire thing, but wonders why her neighbour is camped out in their car the next morning.

ever think about the fact that nishiki largely spiraled the way he did because of being considered incompetent and unfavorable in comparison to kiryu by everyone important in his life, and thus was constantly neglected and forgotten about. and then think about how the bomb would never have had to go off if kiryu and/or yumi just paid literally any attention to him after the showdown. talked to him. helped him to his feet. kept an eye on him. anything. instead of more or less forgetting he was there and allowing him the opportunity to do what he did. do you ever think about that. i sure do

He is allowed to eat her and she is allowed to betray him.

Meanwhile Houtata sex is a fight for dominance and results in bruises, bite marks, claw marks, broken bones, pool of blood, a half-death Houji and a Tatara who is disgusted at himself.

Yakuza 0 did such a good job of making me care for Nishiki because, I'm gonna be real, I didn't care much for Yakuza Kiwami, and the story, to me, was boring and predictable for the most part. So the game TELLING me Nishiki was Kiryu's bestie gone evil wouldn't have done a lot for me without having played 0 before it.

That said, my god they could've done SOMETHING with Yumi in 0 to do more for her character in relation to Kiryu, considering Yokoyama decided she was literally the only person EVER Kiryu could be in love with, and yet... apparently all they could do was awkwardly name-drop her because she's so important that the game needs to make sure they bring her up too.

It's very stupid. It felt weird when I had NO prior knowledge of the series because she never showed up for me to put a face to a name when they decide to mention her for no reason, and it feels awkward now that I know the series because if they're not going to even have her for a sub-story even, why bother having them bring her up other than because she's an important character later on?

I can KINDA see the point when Nishiki mentions her to Reina, since I guess it's to be like yeah this is how she becomes a hostess... several years later, but even that felt awkward considering she's in high-school and they apparently view her as a sister so... it feels odd for Nishiki to suggest when she's so young and innocent. Kamurocho just doesn't seem like the kind of place she should be? Even Kiryu mentions it, THANKFULLY!

I don't dislike Yumi, she did the most for Haruka in the first game to keep her safe, but man, it just feels silly that they made 0 to give backstory and context to certain characters, but they did nothing for Yumi other than very brief, clunky mentions.

You'd think the supposed love of Kiryu's life would feel more important than that.

Your winged people AU is so cool, and the concept of anyone having certain bird's wings sounds kinda cute; and tbh I just love whenever Tenma is associated with birds or wings in general, it fits him a lot n.n
