Fell in love with @yaelokre’s whimsical lil world of meadowlark so I decided to draw up some ocs! These chuckleheads are Briar and Oaks, two fledgling sales-folk who have many strange and mysterious wares for you to peruse, ooOOoOohh✨ (Not really though because they are Bad at business)

Briar (he/they) is the mouthpiece of their lil venture, and Oaks (they/it) is the curator.

What do they sell? 🔎👀 Wellll,,, their collection is pretty meagre, at the moment. A few choice pebbles, some dried dandelions. A shiny clam shell… Oaks tries their best.

higuruma who likes wine. i'm thinking he likes it almost as dry as his coffee but he's very appreciative of the fruity undertones — like you can tell the mood he's in based on the wine he's bought.

he wins a case and he already has a bottle of pinot noir open and waiting for when you finally get home, tie loose and manspreading on the couch, hair tousled and a small dopey smile (yes he started without you but don't worry, he's sure you can keep up)

or maybe he's lost a case and you're pouring him a third glass of california cabernet in the warm bathtub, soap bubbles on his frown lines, arms wrapped tight around you while you straddle him, his teeth grazing your shoulder (he's literally just a brooding baby, hold him pls)

either way, he fucks you idk why i was talking ab the wine. idk anything ab wine. basis is he fucks you while wine drunk really.

daily gentle reminder that the words we use to describe ourselves are labels. they're not immutable states of being, they're not all-encompassing, they're not permanent, they're not universal; labels are just words that we use to indicate something about our experience that we find important enough to communicate to others. if your experience with attraction is significantly different enough from a typical allo experience then aspec labels are there for you to use as long as you want them; and conversely, what aspec labels communicate is just that someone's experience is aligned enough with what we describe as aromanticism/asexuality to warrant telling people about it. you never need a label, you never need to keep a label, you never need to justify a label, and you never need to use a label for anything besides what you want it for. it's not a contract. it's an adjective that you can choose to use or not to use. all it needs to do is be useful for you. 💚🖤

I'm finally done with this semester!!! Just had the sig presentation, and the professors only had nice things to say 🌻 (they said we should go study with them, instead of information technologies haha)

All in all the semester went better than expected, I learned a lot (and not just tech related subjects), got good grades, and stayed focused throughout. Just need to learn how to balance academic study and my social life.

I have roughly three weeks before the next semester starts, here's to making the most of it :)
