It drove me nuts that Steven never tells Peridot what happened on the moon in Can't Go Back. Of course, I forgot that in canon it was daytime when he got back and she was already out of the house, so this scene isn't quite plausible. Oh well!

I mean

Alien sent to destroy the main character by higher powers, who communicate their instructions through glowing crystals. Constantly failing at their job, prone to acts of cowardice and sabotage, and initially only thinking about themselves. Slowly develops a deep bond with the main crew, which eventually leads them to side with them and reject the malevolent higher powers.
