The Mage

Wand: Ebony. Dragon heartstring. 13 inches. Quite Flexible.

This jet-black wand wood has an impressive appearance and reputation, being highly suited to all manner of combative magic, and to Transfiguration. Ebony is happiest in the hand of those with the courage to be themselves. Frequently non-conformist, highly individual or comfortable with the status of outsider, ebony wand owners have been found both among the ranks of the Order of the Phoenix and among the Death Eaters. In my experience the ebony wand’s perfect match is one who will hold fast to his or her beliefs, no matter what the external pressure, and will not be swayed lightly from their purpose.

As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. At Hogwarts_ Anything you can use on a prank. Some defensive spells as while Hogwarts was fairly accepting of her she did get a bit hassled ( there’s always that one occasional asshole) about both being a girl in the quidditch team and how she chooses to dress out of uniform. Some offensive spells from when she got into fights/duels in the halls along Taghd and Teddy. Her best spells are the ones used to sneak around her mother and grandmother. 

Out Of Hogwarts_ While not a spell, apparition becomes her most used magical feat as she likes to visit her friends as they all settle into her adult lives. She also learns a bit of healing spells from either Adelia or Teddy ( and at both their insistence that if she’s going to be getting into trouble out there she should be able to patch herself up a bit. ) 

*In the Taghd Dies Verse where she becomes an auror she adds a lot of offensive spells to her arsenal “best defense is a good offense right?” Theo no.

*Theo tends to prefer Hogwarts robes and wizard fashion in general more as they’re more gender neutral. ( as in both genders wear robes though they differ in style and in Hogwarts case they do not differ at all from one gender to the other) so she wears them more.

 When it comes to muggle clothing she’s most comfortable on cable knit sweaters and plaid ( though she favors the former a lot more)  because she used to steal Taghd’s though if she has to “dress up” she’ll wear more  masc fashion. She’s influenced by Teddy’s fashion sense a bit for that. She also wears her Gryffindor tie even after leaving Hogwarts but with dress robes/a shirt and vest instead.

She tends to prefer more muted colors with like accents of one color or one point of color (i know nothing about fashion please bear with me. Hopefully the pinterest helps)

Background/History

Pre Hogwarts: Theo was an “indiscretion” born to Emily Abott and an unknown ( to most) muggleborn wizard. The family  kept her, fed her, made sure she knew the proper way for an Abott to act, but there was no affection to this and Theo sometimes wondered if it wasn’t only out of duty that her family did all this. After it becomes obvious that Theo who dresses in boy’s clothes, never keeps a comment inside her mind, and buckles against the propriety forced upon her more and more as the years pass is not going to be changing to fit what her family thinks she should be; it’s decided to send her to Hogwarts where she’ll at least be kept out of sight.

4th Year: Was sent to Hogwarts by her family to be kept out of sight and hopefully shape up ( with the added sentiment that if she does not, at the very least she’ll be out of sight) Met Taghd Lynch, Lu Morrison, Teddy Ellison and Adelia Selwyn. 

5th Year: tba

6th Year: tba

7th Year: tba. Graduates with her friends. Though she undoubtedly has to leave some behind as I can see her befriending underclassmen.

Out of school: At some point she moves back closer to Teddy either because she received the news that Taghd died or that Taghd almost died. ( depending on the “canon” or “Taghd Lives AU”)

At some point she might adopt a daughter who is as chaotic as she was and then some ( though much more open and less angry/defensive because Theo’s a better parent than her mother ) 

In the Universe where Tagdh dies she becomes an Auror alongside Teddy.

At some point she cuts her parents off Completely ( no letters, no firecalls, nothing absolutely nothing) whether this happens because they did something that just got to her too much or it was more a case of her getting away and going “wooow they’re actually horrible to me” remains to be seen but she’ll come to rely on her friends for moral support and also to figure out how to live on her own without their monetary support.  

Spoils her friends’ kids so so much ohmygosh she loves them.

Personality

 Temperamental and impulsive ‘’jump now, think later’’/’’it looked like a good idea at the time’’ sort of person. Disaster Bisexual. Gets angry quick but it fades just as quickly. Frank, warm, empathetic. Honest-sometimes too honest- The one in a friend group to try to make people laugh. Will encourage you to hex someone who hurts you ‘’hell I’ll help you/cover for you’’ (That Friend) the opposite of the common sense friend. ( ‘’sounds illegal, I’m in.’’ )

Theo’s general status is defensive which to her can often be loud and assertive ( and a bit abrasive though she’s usually sorry about that last one when it happens) due to insecurities that took root during her time with her mother and her family To wit, she believes she needs to defend the way she is subconsciously since it was often the case at home and this leaks into her personality. When she met all her friends her first setting was “im like this and Deal with it” expecting resistance but when she met none ( as her friends all accepted her for who she is) she became a lot less so. ( shes still loud and chaotic as that's also part of who she is but she’s a lot less defensive afterwards.)

Has a really loud laugh. When she’s goofing with her friends or talking to them and laughing with them you can hear it echo through the halls.

Is sort of...a loud person in general.

Theo’s a passionate individual and incredibly stubborn when she sets her mind to something.

Skips the sad/crying phase and goes straight to angry. Might or might not have “/don’t cry/show weakness” complex. Her other emotions however are expressed be they annoyance, happiness ( her laughter Echoes through the corridors when she’s happy about something) excitement ect ect ad infinitum.

Her poker face is  shit though. She couldn’t keep her opinions through herself if she tried. Her face will say them for her.

She’s fiercely fiercely protective of her friends and found family. ( see: “would happily hit Teddy’s dad with a blugger if she finds out about him being abusive  ‘’curses out ppl who say mean things to Adelia or Lu and half the time will wind up throwing down for it” and of course “I’m actually going to Kill Cillian” circa Taghd’s duel in the Taghd lives AU as examples)

Misc:

Theo’s animagus form is a Pine Marten. She learned it specifically so she could get out of the house which she often found overbearing due to her mother, grandmother, and aunts attitudes towards her.

While her family kept her, fed her and clothed her it was done out of combination of duty and not wanting to waste magical blood. They might have love for her but it’s very clearly overridden by ( if not outright contingent on) their need forTheo being the kind of child they think she ought to be which she is very much not and only grows to stray more and more from it as she grows up) 

Theo sometimes does suspect they did it more out of duty than any love but tries not to think about it deeply or think about them at all if she can help it ( and with an entire castle to explore with friends and mischief to manage with those same friends it becomes quite easy) 

She has a fascination for the muggle world because it was her father’s world and the part of her her family shuns and kept her from knowing about.

She’s often in trouble with either Taghd or Teddy ( or both) or Lu ( or all three) and the teachers might or might not have a running tally of which combination causes the most chaos. 

Theo learns Gaelic from Taghd-they start with the swear words and then she just really wants to learn the language. 

Whereas Taghd tends to complain about getting dragged into fights by Teddy and her but does it Theo’s more like you feel the air shift next to you and...yup. Yup she’s there.

If her friends are in a fight nine out ten times she’s there too. That one of ten times she’s not there, she’s going to be soon.

Theo’s a night owl and can often be found the last in the common room reading or writing or talking to Taghd or Teddy or Lu. Sometimes she’ll sneak out to fly. ( specially on really clear nights)

She’s perfected the art of wolfing down breakfast in the last minutes before going to class or even just grabbing a piece of bread and running off to class because of this. As it'll lead to her oversleeping.

Adelia’s her mom friend and possibly one of the few people that can tell her what to do without her going ‘how bout i do anyways.png’

She writes a lot and can be seen talking animatedly about it mostly to fellow writer friend Teddy Ellison. 

She’s bit Taghd’s brother Cillian in her animagus form at least once. It was the subject of laughter in the Gryffindor table for a good week after. Theo, ( who keeps her animagus form a secret aside from her closest friends because its a way she has to get away from people or hide or cause trouble when she wants to) becomes very interested in whatever’s in front of her  and trying not to laugh when it gets brought up. 

She gets really attached to Teddy’s mom ( and is a bit jealous of how nice a mother her friend has)  as she both from her experience and what she gathers from Tagdh and other friends of hers she didn’t...think parents could be nice? Like empirical evidence just overall does not seem to be in their favor tbh (specially mothers) and she’s mystified by her and overall thinks she’s wonderful.

This also means she dislikes Teddy’s dad that much more ( though she keeps it to herself around Teddy’s mother ) because as far as she’s concerned he doesn’t deserve her or Teddy with what some of  his actions are. 

Tends to be physical with her close friends ( bumping shoulders, linking arms as they walk hand on shoulder) though on different levels depending on the different dynamics and how comfortable they themselves are with it.

She hates all the propriety she was brought up with ( one of the bonding things she Taghd had was their shared lack of decorum) but one of the things she enjoyed to learn back in Godric Hollow was calligraphy. She stills practices it as a hobby, keeping multiple colors of ink in her room at Hogwarts and later in life. She likes making calligraphy for her friends and also when they’re adults makes calligraphy for each of their children with their favorite stories.

I’m hoping to get back to doing more content ( including other profiles for mcs I’ve mentioned and going back to my hphm kiddo Marti and writing out gameplay now that I have more spoons. Figured this was a good place to start.

So you probably have answered this, but any headcanons for Barnaby?

Barnaby, my boy! My wonderful king of creatures! 

He is the sweetest, most friendly boy in the entire school - and not even on purpose. That’s just who he is. You can tell that no one knows what to make of him. I bet McGonagall, Sprout, Flitwick, they all love him. Even Snape is like, “Oh, Barnaby...” with a mild face-palm. Felix tries in vain to teach him the ways of being cunning and crafty, a Slytherin’s bread and butter. But he realizes early on that Barnaby just doesn’t have it in him. So he resolves to protect the boy with everything he has. 

Merula initially saw Barnaby as an opportunity and latched onto his kindness when she was still spiraling after Tulip’s betrayal. Ismelda went along with it because she too, could see how useful he might be. But it didn’t take long for his kindness and total sincerity to get to her. By the time MC and Tulip threw the dungbomb at the Slytherin trio, Ismelda had fallen head over heels for him. He of course, had no idea. 

That’s the thing about Barnaby. The obvious and most basic things go over his head, but on a deeper, more emotional level - I think that he’s very wise. He may not have cottoned on to different people’s feelings, but once he knew them, I bet he knew how to proceed. I feel like, he’s the kind of friend who knows exactly what to say when you’re in despair. Feeling anxious or depressed. Barnaby helps out with just a few simple words. Or one of his amazing hugs. By the way, Barnaby gives the best hugs. 

He may not be cunning, but he’s definitely ambitious - that’s why he’s a Slytherin, after all. He says that he wants to be the best wizard he can possibly be. Another way in which he’s wise - I think he has a very mature understanding and interpretation of what it means to be his greatest self. None of this toxic nonsense that people are indoctrinated to believe. To Barnaby, it means being talented and kind. To wield immense knowledge and power, as a Slytherin should...and then to use that power for the good of others. Because that’s what power should be for. 

Barnaby and Liz is the closest of friendships and you cannot convince me otherwise. Shipping or no shipping, it’s clear that she cares about him, and seeks to protect him the same way that MC and Felix would. Liz was probably at odds with Merula and her gang from day one, but I bet Barnaby was always nice to her. Because that’s the thing about him - he’s nice to everyone except for people that threaten his friends. That was why he was antagonistic toward MC at first. He believed Merula’s version of events, and Barnaby is the most protective friend there ever was. Don’t forget that he saves Rowan from cursing them-self when they were Imperius’d. 

His family is at least seven different kinds of awful, but I like to imagine that staying with his uncle Cecil was a kind of safe haven for a young Barnaby. Cecil isn’t exactly the greatest influence, and it would explain the earliest characterization of Barnaby...but it’s still a damn sight better than staying with his parents. Barnaby definitely has some unresolved trauma regarding those days, but he pushes it down, puts it in a box and forgets about it. That probably is not healthy. But it makes him happy, at least for the moment, so why would he stop. 

A few miscellaneous things. His wand his made of willow and dragon heartstring. He’s the biggest cuddle-bug you’ve ever seen. The reason he’s so buff is that he helps out Hagrid with manual labor all the time - oh, by the way, he and Hagrid are like best friends. Don’t try to convince me that they’re not. Barnaby also has a pet cruppie. 

I’m going to tell you a personal story, but I promise that there’s a point to it, so indulge me for a moment. My parents once took their kitty cat, Franny, to see an animal psychic. I don’t normally believe in the people who make a living out of predictions, but I will say that this woman made several, specific allusions to Franny’s life that led my parents to believe she was genuine. She then told them that Franny had a very unusual perspective on life - that most creatures are keenly aware of their place in the food chain, in where they stand versus other types of animals. Franny was one of the rare animals who saw no distinction between cats, humans, and anything else. It was all the same to her. So, why did I tell this story? Because I believe Barnaby is the same way. I think that’s one trait he absolutely has. Even Liz can see the distinction - she fights for the sake of other creatures, but she’s clearly aware of the difference. I’m not at all sure that Barnaby is. And that is without a doubt, my favorite head-canon for him.

🍁 - playing with leaves

Barnaby yawns, running a hand through his hair as he casts a bleary look around his place. It’s quiet, eerily quiet, which strikes him as a little odd considering Vixen’s wild nature and early morning tendencies.

Upon a further sweep, Barnaby notes that neither Vixen nor Emmy are anywhere in the manor. This only leaves him to wonder where they’ve gone off to. For a moment, a frown tugs at the corner of his mouth. Seeing as it’s his first day off in months, he’d been hoping to utilize his time to spend as much time with his girls as he can. Now he’ll have to wait for them to find their way back.

It’s only when Barnaby nears the window that offers a clear view to his grand backyard that a smile finally comes to his face.

He’d been hesitant on coming back to his old house after graduating Hogwarts, but seeing as he is the lone sole inheritor, Margie—the Lee Manor’s Head of Staff—suggested he renovate the place to better suit his liking. All of the staff had been adamantly vying for his return and he realized that closing down the house and leaving it to the wayside would be putting a fair amount of people out of a job. It was then he decided to give the house its own chance for a clean slate.

Now it’s almost Halloween, Emmy is already a year old, the renovations are complete, and Barnaby likes to think that it already feels much warmer than it did in his youth. Old matters aside, he’s actually glad he thought to take them here for a three-day weekend getaway.

Grabbing an spare piece of bacon, Barnaby doesn’t even decide to dress for the day before making his way out the door and over to his girls.

From what he can gather, it appears that Emmy and Vixen had the mutual thought that the coloring leaves of fresh autumn looked particularly fun this morning.

“What’s going on here?” Barnaby laughs once he manages to get close enough to Emmy to launch a surprise attack in which he bundles her up in his arms. “Why wasn’t I invited to all the fun?”

Vixen arches a brow at him, coy, but doesn’t comment on the fact that waking him up can sometimes be more trouble than it’s worth. Instead, she gestures around them to all the red, orange, and yellow leaves, flowing in the wind. As though acting of their own accord, the leaves dance around the yard like in a trance, only stopping to fall into one of the many piles scattered about the expanse. A charm most likely, probably cast by one of the staff, but clearly Vixen and Emmy had made even more use of it.

Emmy giggles from her place against his chest, her red hair falling in her eyes and framing her face. Her cheeks and nose sport a slight rosy hue, no doubt due to the chilling fall weather. She reaches up to cup Barnaby’s cheeks, her fingers like ice and eliciting a hiss out of him. This, in turn, only causes her to giggle more.

“Emmy saw the leaves dancing about and wanted to get a better look,” Vixen says, a healthy hint of fondness seeping into her tone. “We’ve been out here playing around for a good half hour now.”

“Play!” Emmy shouts, even though she’s only inches from his ear. “Da, play!”

Grinning, Barnaby catches Vixen’s eye and they both nod in silent agreement. From under her breath, Vixen mutters some incoherent incantation and suddenly the leaves shift their direction.

Slowly, so as to give her time to dispute, Barnaby lowers Emmy back down to the ground. When her feet hit the dry soil, the multi-colored leaves surround her. They dance and sway in a spiral, some circling her and others lingering within her reach. A bright, bubbly laugh spills from her lips and she reaches pudgy hands out to try and grasp them.

However, the leaves prove just as mischievous as their muse and they evade her touch. Emmy is not deterred, chasing after them like she does butterflies in spring. Her laughter echoes around her like a melody carried over to her parents by the mercy of the breeze.

Barnaby smiles lazily, the kind reserved for late Sunday mornings, and wraps an arm around Vixen’s shoulders. “She’s a beauty, isn’t she?”

Pulling him closer by the waist, Vixen returns his smile, allowing her head to fall back against him. “Yeah, she really is.”

Vixen and Sara

Sara is the mom friend. It’s inevitable. Sara almost always ends up as the mom friend. Especially with her more chaotic friends and Vixen fits into that group.

Because they both end up with Barnaby, and I can do what I want, dating the Lee twins, Barnaby and Noah. I couldn’t find the original post but the gist is for having MCs who end up with the same character just make them identical twins who get certain aspects of canon. For the Lee twins, Noah is the better dueler, while Barnaby is better with magical creatures. (Vixen and Noah, Sara and Barnaby)

Sara having to patch Vixen up after she gets into fights.

Both talking about Anne of Green Gables and how adorable Anne and Gilbert are. (Because Anne and Gil are extremely adorable.)

They bond over wearing their dead parents’ rings, as Vixen wears her parents’ wedding rings on a necklace and Sara wears her late mother’s claddagh ring.

Sara docking points from some of Vixen’s dormmates when they bully her because Sara is a prefect and has no patience for bullies of any kind.

Sara letting Vixen raid her jelly slugs stash that she keeps in her bag, which usually happens when Vixen forgot to put more food in her own bag.

They share pens in Gryffindor-Hufflepuff classes. (Sara sometimes finds that her pen stash has dropped because Ryan steals them.)

People sometimes see a red fox and a gray Scottish fold cat sitting in the middle of the grounds, just watching everything.

Vixen being very grateful to Sara, Penny, Tonks, Chiara, and Rowan for letting her sleep in their dormitory.

Vixen and Conor

Conor is rather intimated by Vixen at first and Vixen kinda thought that he was a bit of a wet blanket because he didn’t really do anything.

As they get to know one another better and the years pass, Vixen learns to take it down a little when none of the other O’Donnells are going to be around.

Vixen would fight people who make fun of Conor’s stutter, even if she does find it kinda cutesy. (She also learns that you do not tell him that under any circumstances.)

The absurdity of seeing a tiny little fox and a giant Irish wolfhound loping through the grounds of Hogwarts. (Conor’s a lot more looser as a wolfhound.)

Vixen will point out the different constellations to him and Conor will point out random architectural features to her.

Listening to The Who together because judging by her music taste, Vixen probably does or would enjoy The Who.

Vixen finds the fact that Conor swore loudly in his first ever class with McGonagall hilarious.

They’ll play on the same team for quidditch friendlys sometimes.

As intelligent as she is, Vixen is always impressed by how quickly Conor can solve math problems especially as most other witches and wizards can only do basic math.

Vixen is impressed that Conor can throw a good punch. It’s not something that most people expect from the quiet Ravenclaw.

They’d probably end up in jail together, but it’s more likely that Ivy would have to bail Willa out for losing her temper on someone.

Ivy. Willa’s not very open, but Ivy can read her like a book sometimes. Willa considers Ivy’s advice to be some of the best she’s ever gotten.

They both do, but neither of them will rat each other out to the rest of the group.

who immediately calls dibs on the top bunk?

Willa, but a race to the top bunk ensues and Willa will playfully shove Ivy off of the ladder.

Ivy starts them usually, and it’s a mix of who wins. They definitely keep a track record of it.

Willa says it to Ivy’s crush. Ivy’s cheeks turn red and Willa’s about to fall off of the bench seat laughing over it.

They both would. If Vixen made the first move, Veruca would retaliate and do the same. It will continue until they both have eaten the other's fries.

Oh it would be Vixen. Veruca would blush at any romantic gesture. Or well, she would try to hide that but it never works. And because of this reaction, everyone starts to assume they really are together.

Who has to bust or bail the other out of jail?

It would be hard to bail the other out since I feel like they'd both be in jail for doing something extremely stupid, like maybe rob Zonko's for all the dungbombs or Madame Puddifoot's for the cauldron cakes. But no need to worry, Veruca can blow a hole in the wall with bombarda maxima and they'll be out in no time.

Who gives the other advice/comfort about dating issues?

Given that Veruca is an awkward mess when it comes to romance, and Vixen has the most experience, Vixen would be the one to give advice to Veruca and maybe comfort her when she's having another meltdown on "Why is my heart still beating so fast??? I try to make sure they know I'm not interested… why is my face feeling so hot??? Why are you laughing?! I'm serious!!" And it's hilarious because everyone knows Veruca to be a serious and calm girl. Maybe after a while of laughing at her despair, Vixen would finally comfort her.

Who shamelessly cheats at games by reaching over to cover the other's eyes?

Veruca. Hands down, Veruca. And she wouldn't do it to win, she'd do it because she finds Vixen getting angry to be both funny and cute. And because of her height, Veruca finds it even more hilarious.

Who immediately calls dibs on the top bunk?

Vixen calls dibs,which prompts Veruca to tease her by saying "It's the only way you can feel taller than everyone else, anyways." 

Who starts and who wins a pillow fight?

In relation to the one above, this would take place right after Veruca calls Vixen out for her height, despite only being about 2 or 3 inches taller than her. And given that they're both pretty stubborn, they won't quit until one of them has been knocked down by a barrage of soft pillows. Or at least until someone barges in and tells them to shut up. But even with that, they'll both destroy that person by throwing all the pillows at them. In the end, it'll most likely end in a tie.

Who says "your pants would look better on their floor" to the other's potential crush?

They both would. Nothing is more funny than seeing your friend get flustered by the other when they shamelessly say something like that aloud. Although Veruca doesn't really like wearing pants as she finds them uncomfortable, so she might turn it around and say her crush's own pants would look even better on hers instead.

Adult Emma and Vixen:

Emma randomly arranges dates for Vixen and Barnaby to visit the dragon sanctuary, and always tells Charlie at the last minute. She also tells him that he better be on his best behavior.

Sometimes Vixen will just drop by unnanounced just to visit Emma. It never bothers Emma, but Charlie has a fuss about it, and Emma and Vixen tell him to get over it. “What the hell, Vixen? I could’ve been naked and you would’ve just apparated in our living room!” “Well, in that case I’d ask why you’re naked in the living room and what the hell you and Emma were doing.”

Emma and Vixen are always getting together with their kids and taking them out to Diagon Alley.

They definitely have morning coffee and breakfast together and talk about their husbands being absolute numbskulls at times.

I could see them opening up some kind of shop together, for what I have no idea though😂

They’re still just as chaotic as they were in their Hogwarts years. Merlin help anyone who tries to fight the both of them in the Battle of Hogwarts.

Have you ever thought about how weird it must be seeing Barnaby Vixen Emma and Charlie together? Like two muscular dudes with friendly smiles accompanied by two short (ish) redhead women who look friendly enough but give off a sort of edgy vibe sometimes. Like Charlie Emma and Vixen look related and then there is Barnaby. I'm sorry, this is weird, but I just wanted to share my thoughts about them with you.

The thought has crossed my mind, honestly!

Emma, Charlie, and Vixen do look like they could be somehow related because they all have fair skin and red hair, but other than that there’s not really many more similarities that can easily be picked out.

Poor Barnaby though, the odd one out🥺 all four of them definitely give off friendly vibes and energy, though Emma and Vixen do give off a bit more edgy/chaotic energy than the guys do.

But yeah I can see how upon first glance a lot of people would be like “wait what?? Why is Barnaby hanging out with three redheads??” and then like a bunch of First Years or total strangers are surprised to learn that Emma, Charlie, and Vixen aren’t at all related to each other and that Emma is dating Charlie and Vixen is dating Barnaby.

I haven’t really properly thought any out, but I’ll give it a go!

Also, I can’t remember if we’ve ever established Rhia and Vixen as friends for sure, but her profile is here if you’d like to give it a look and decide if they’d be friends or not!☺️

Willa and Vixen:

Vixen is close with both Willa and her younger sister, Bridget, so Willa sees Vixen as a little sister.

Willa isn’t near as chaotic as Vixen, but she loves seeing Vixen’s chaotic antics.

Even though Willa becomes Head Girl in her Seventh Year, she’s not as tough on Vixen as she would be with other trouble-makers. She more or less applaudes Vixen for her work and turns a blind eye to the issue.

Willa doesn’t like it when Bridget tries to learn pranks from Vixen. Bridget’s supposed to be the sweet, caring, do-no-wrong one of the bunch.

Whether or not Vixen notices, Willa’s always looking out for her. Something as harmless as Vixen trying to set up a prank in the corridor but there’s a group of Gryffindor Prefects and a few teachers talking to each other? Willa either distracts everyone long enough for Vixen to set up her plan and get out of there, or she’ll find a way to get everyone out of the corridor, or even if it’s something more serious like Vixen being surrounded by acromantulas without her wand, Willa’s there for her. Though Bill isn’t far behind Willa because he wouldn’t let Willa face acromantulas alone.

A lot of Willa convincing Bill let Vixen slide and not take points from Gryffindor for her antics. It always works.

It takes Vixen a while to admit it, but she thinks that Willa and Bill are actually, in her words to Willa, “kinda cute together, even if Bill follows you like a lost puppy sometimes”. Willa knows the truth though.

Willa is one of the many people that tries to convince Vixen that Barnaby likes her.

Bridget and Vixen:

Vixen is like a second big sister to Bridget.

Sometimes, Bridget will try to get Vixen on the path of righteousness (it never works).

Bridget would never admit it, but sometimes she thinks Vixen is cooler than Willa because she’s no where near as strict.

In arguments over what’s best for Bridget, it’s always Bridget and Vixen against Willa. Willa eventually gives up and lets Bridget figure it out.

Aside from Willa, Vixen is a role model to Bridget.

Bridget tries to be Vixen’s voice of reason. It doesn’t work 80% of the time.

Headcanon that (assuming the boys stairs turn into a slide if girls step on it like the other way around) Emma and Vixen sometimes will wait until one of the boys is going up to his dorm, run up, jump on the stairs and run off so they cant get into the dorm. Just to mess with them

They’d definitely do it to Charlie more than everyone else though, but Emma knows how to handle Charlie being a fuss-pot about it. He just can’t stay mad at her.

Alright so I may or may not be writing a fic and I would like to know what Emma and Willa/Bridget's reactions would be when Vixen is pulled out of class in third year and told her parents were murdered by death eaters. Emma, I think, being the closest to Vixen most likely, would be more apt to give Vixen her space about it, because she knows that Vixen is very resilient and she’ll bounce back, but would constantly reassure Vixen that she’s there for her, no matter what, day or night, time or place. Emma’s always there if Vixen needs a hug, or a quick pick-me-up trip to Honeydukes or Zonko’s. When Emma finds out the news, she’s first shocked, but then she’s appalled by the outright cowardice of the death eaters to target Vixen’s parents in such a manner. She’s even willing to fight them personally.

Willa would be more “big sister” esque about it, constantly checking in on Vixen, making sure she’s okay, asking if she needs anything, offering to get some homework done for her, collecting assignments from professors that she’s missed, things like that. Willa would always be around if Vixen needed a hug or a shoulder to cry on. Willa would be shocked to hear the news, but she’d be very sympathetic with Vixen, trying to help her sort out her feelings over the issue and help keep her from doing anything irrational.

Bridget, being the biggest sweetheart of the three, would constantly be offering Vixen sweets to cheer her up. She would also worry for Vixen’s own well-being, and much like Willa she would consistently check in with Vixen to see if she’s doing okay. When Bridget finds out the news, she’s immediately saddened, and pulls Vixen into the biggest bear hug that her little body can muster up the strength for, and lets Vixen know that whatever she needs, she’s there for her.
