I see you like AppleRadio as much as RadioStatic, is there by any chance any good stories with them as an OT3 👀 (Look at me trying to take the easy way 😂)

It's time for me to come clean. It's time I was honest with myself and all of you 😔

Here is my truth.

I actually have a very hard time shipping OT3's. Unless my fav character is getting the most attention in the polyship, then I don't want it. I get jealous and offended on my pookie's behalf.

That's right. I'm the possessive, cringy tik-tok boyfriend. If my fav isn't the center of attention--if any other character slips between them and their partner and shows the other person more attention-- my little heart can't take it.

That being said, I have come across a few Lucifer/Vox/Alastor fics 👀 I don't think I saved them--they didn't fit my taste--but I gave them a try.

However, considering everything I just said, I'm not above giving the OT3 a read when I come across it. Really, I'm fine with any tropes, ratings, or concepts that are explored fanfics, and I like giving them a read, it's just a matter of how they're written that determines whether or not I bookmark the fic or click out of it.

If anyone does have any Lucifer/Alastor/Vox fics out there, both Anon and I would love to see them! If my cringy, possessive little ass can't handle my pookie not being the center of attention, then I shall quietly exit through stage left and try something else.

Hello friend it's ya boi Berry I saw the post abt what fandoms would ship irt your SIs and as someone who spent hours looking at ships in this fandom I have thoughts.

Sapphire: Nia would def be a ship w her. Mythra as well, I tend to see most characters shipped w one Aegis often shipped w the other. Her excitable nature playing of Mythra being more guarded would intrigue people.

Calanthe: Shion/Koshion ot3 deffo would happen. That fandom is wlw paradise for ships lol. Helps she and Shion have a lot in common -- invested in KOS-MOS, glasses for reasons other than eyesight, Zohar shenanigans.... T-elos in saga and 2 both would also happen. Similar to the Aegis situation I find.

Aline: Def would be shipped w Haze as well as prolly her and Lora as an ot3. Her and Brighid also feels possible -- jewel of Mor Ardain and a village girl would go hard for ppl. Curve ball here but Avalon as well. Blade Driver pairings are super popular and I figure that'd extend here too -- they're friends so some ppl would ship em.

Citri: Fiora and Shulk predictions are spot on. Reyn would also be a potential one bc of the similar childhood friends angle, tho might be more popular w her in ot3+s. Melia also feels incredibly possible, actually -- people in recent years have really been feeling her wlw vibes and chances are she'd have cute interactions with Citri, making her a potentially popular choice. Linada might also be one of only bc she and Vanea are somewhat shipped -- ship her w one gf why not the other? Lots of ot3+s here specifically would happen I think.

Sapphire with Mythra would be pretty interesting actually, especially with the context of Mythra first appearing in XC2 not too long after Sapphire joins the party in Chapter 3. Not perhaps the best of introductions Plus, with Mythra’s connection to Poppi, that’s another way the two can kind of come together despite being quite different personality-wise! And, I can also definitely see shipping happening with Nia, haha. Not only out of catgirl solidarity, but there's also a Blade Eater/Flesh Eater contrast, which is made more fun by the fact that the Blade whose Core Crystal is in Sapphire was a healer Blade~

Today I found out that Shion doesn't wear glasses to correct her vision either, huh. I didn't realise they were a sentimental thing for her (from what I read on the wiki)! Anyway - yes, you're right that Calanthe and Shion do have possibly a bit too many similarities, oops, but you're right that it would definitely make them fit ships! Shoutout to Xenosaga for all the wlw ships, honestly. t-elos is someone I had not considered, but honestly now you mention it I can absolutely see it. Calanthe is not an overly confident self-insert, so that combined with t-elos' general demeanour would be quite the contrast, hehe. Plus, if going by her XC2 version: glasses solidarity again!

I would definitely call Aline with Avalon a curveball for the reason that Avalon isn't attracted to girls (I keep considering shipping them with Minoth, or possibly one of the other two male Blades), but at the same time I can see it persisting despite that, given what some people are unfortunately like. I will readily admit I hadn't considered Aline with Brighid, but I can definitely see the logic in it, haha - you're right that that kind of trope can be pretty fun! And, yes, Aline with Haze does definitely sound very cute, I can definitely imagine it ^-^

Regarding Citri, I don’t know how I forgot about Melia! My first attempts at making an XC1 self-insert was to selfship with Melia, actually - that self-insert was a fellow half-High Entia, also called Sapphire but without XC2 Sapphire's energetic-ness. Citri has actually probably turned out somewhat similar to that initial iteration, now that I think about it, despite her lore now being different (and me thinking of her as an alternate version of Calanthe, not of Sapphire). In terms of the others, I can definitely see them happening through OT3s specifically, as those would give more opportunity for more dynamics to develop properly, you could say.

Comfort ship:

Snufkin/Moomin ig? it's special. it's close to my heart more because of what it symbolises than because i want those two to fuck (i do NOT actually want them to fuck at all, dear god, i don't even want to think about it). it's still very melancholy and regret-tinged. i feel like the 'comfort' questions don't rly apply to me cause what i love in fiction above all else is tragedy, unhappy endings, toxicity, generally Bad Things. the way i like to engage in media is weeping tears of genuine anguish over my beloved doomed characters/ships so there's not much space for true, long-lasting comfort.

maybe Eddie/Chrissy from Stranger Things too? cultivating a healthy relationship with another person while battling an ED is not easy to say the least (maybe even impossible, at least to me) so yeah, maybe in an AU focused on her recovery they could be a comfort ship to me.

Athos/Aramis. there, I said it. I feel like most people in the 3M fandom take the easy way out with Athos/d'Artagnan and Aramis/Porthos (which I'm a huge fan of in the BBC series, but just cannot see it happening in the Dumas verse) and while I can understand that, I genuinely think Athos/Aramis makes SO much more sense (plus makes a perfect OT3 with Mme de Chevreuse!!!).

Snufkin/Moomin, Eddie/Chrissy (maybe Carlos/Rodrigo too? they're a bit more complicated than just "opposites attract" to me tho)

Canon ship:

Ten/Rose and Aramis/Marie de Chevreuse) (what can I say, I'm a huge fan of the divorce arc <33 she doesn't even physically appear in the first book and they have 1,5 scene together throughout the entire trilogy - but the contrast between the way Aramis acts about her in 3M vs the cruel, horrible behaviour he exhibits towards her in VDB + her trying her best to ensure he gets executed in the end... it does things to me <333)

Just random thoughts/theories on Deltarune (spoilers)

Kris x Ralsei x the player OT3 /j

We all know Ralsei seems to know he is in a video game (mentioning the script, suggesting “Kris” to save or provoking cinematic to talk to Kris without the player around, among other things). We also know he is fond of Kris, which they don’t reciprocate. This lead to awkward situation where they can flirt with Ralsei while they don’t want to. And Ralsei responds positively (being flustered and blushing) nevertheless the flat/confused tone Kris might used when they disagreed with the choice the player made. To prove they don’t have a high affinity with Ralsei, check the healing teas or even the carnival’s choice.

So… what if the crush/attraction/whatever is going on the head of fluffy boi goat isn’t addressed for Kris BUT FOR THE PLAYER THEMSELF. Heck, he didn’t seem at all bothered to the idea his own town is named after the player rather than him, the prince, the fun gang or even Lancer (another friendly local nobility). And no one, excepted the possible “two entities” (depending your point of view), in the intro might know our name. It’s never referenced again, excepted when saving. That’s very weird.

But I also have to admit we don’t know why would Ralsei be infatuated with the player. Is it for similar reasons that Monika in DDLC? Freedom is a big theme in Deltarune after all... But even myself don't buy it. There must be something else. Nonetheless he eagerly wants to be liked by the player (and Kris by proxy).

Else: Ralsei is an old self insert of Kris

Then it would explain the awkwardness when they are together, the strange alikeness between him and Asriel to the point of sharing an anagram name, and the reddish horns (remember the plastic horns Toriel bought for Kris). 

Here, Ralsei wants Kris’s love but more in a worshiper/divinity way? Since he would had been created for Kris’s happiness... and Darkner had been explicitly existing thanks to the Lightners wishes.

It doesn’t necessarily contraindicated or jossed the first theory (he could be pursuing both the player and Kris) but it seems unlikely to be both. 

The Legend: The player is the Angel to banish and Lancer is the prince

Similar to OFF or Oneshot, the player is an entity coming from another world, guiding their “chosen one” with a compelling “voice” for the better... or the worst. The player is the being the more fitting to be the “Angel” (for now) as they also represents a threat to the world(s), or at the very least, Kris.

I’m surprise everyone seems to think the Angel is Noelle: she is an angel, but definitely not an Elderich entity... more like a martyr at worst. Poor sweetie :c

I also really like the idea the real prince of Darkness isn’t Ralsei but Lancer. However, I admit I thought of it just because it could be a nice subversion. I have no actual proof to pursue this theory, save from “Ralsei is suspicious and Lancer a nice peachboy who got a bit too much spotlight to be insignificant.” But it’s nothing concreted. Who knows what Toby has in mind?

Either way, when the ‘Angel’ will be banish, it’ll be the end of the Dark World — and obviously the game itself.

Kris is a well taught teen (or awkward with tities)

On a lighter note, the reason why Kris seem so delight to respond “perish” to Queen might not be because they’re suicidal but just because they didn’t want to answer “bosom”. Heck, if Toriel ever heard about this, they’ll be banish to their bedroom until the end of time. (Thought with the other answer, she mights force them to therapy. Wouldn’t be necessarily a bad thing tho /hj)

Or they’re just being embarrassed by saying it aloud and then it would be pretty funny lmao. They’re okay eating random moss, licking pages and even flirting with anything - but saying “boob”? How dare you, player! Curse you!!

Another funny thing I noticed... When a cinematic is done, most of the time, Kris’ll turn toward the screen and because of his neutral expression, it gives me a “wtf was this bro” look. I found it hilarious.

Miscellaneous - just ideas I hope will happen/be confirmed:

The ending of the weird route will lead to a final fight with Susie (with or without Ralsei) and it’ll be heartbreaking as Susie will acknowledge there is something possessing her friend.

Regular road will instead lead to a fight with the original vessel we have created back chapter 1. And it’ll be messed up in a hilarious way. 

The whole fun gang will learn the truth about the video game situation they’re in.

Close to the end, Kris will gain enough freedom to talk directly to the player and give them a “why you suck” speech. It would be awesome if they get an actual face, like Susie and Ralsei in their dialogue, while doing so. They’re also probably insecure at the idea their new made friends preferred the controlled Kris over the real Kris. 

If not craft for weapons, the clear crystals will give an extended ending/epilogue of the normal/pacifist route (similar to OFF, but less random and goofy).

I just despised the idea Kris being evil, don’t @ me if you are comparing them to Chara (”they got red eyes and are acting weird with a knife”) only to justify the bad things the player did. They are troubled and misguided, and I hope Toriel keeps in check their, uh, “knife hobby”. But they’re certainly not a creepy killer. Just a creepy, well meaning teen.

Regarding the red eyes thing, maybe they are red because “eyes are windows to the soul”...?

Ralsei’s talk with Kris out of focus will be revealed, and it was something related to making fountains/the prophecy’s steps including the part of the player.

there's a lot of survival to be done - qi isn't completely compatible with this new world, so powers are limited/not as easy to regenerate. (goes into some theories i will be inserting into dbd, so i won't say here)

taoists exist and are part of the world in original journey to the west, but aren't as prevalent/distinct in adaptations - and journey to the west itself is a story that is written to occur during the tang dynasty so everything is new to everyone (except zyx).

What do you rank your personal fav Reggie ships and do they differ between digests and the show?

ooh a very good question 👀to start with your second question, yes they do! not all of them, but there are definitely some things I ship in the comics I'm less keen on in the show or vice versa, it really depends on the dynamics and interactions in question. and then as far as rankings go... they tend to fluctuate a bit tbh depending on what sort of content we've been getting lately and my overall mood, but I'd say this is more or less accurate for most of the time:

riverdale:

usually it's between archie/reggie (/rarchie) and keggie (and sometimes they're just tied)

varchiereggie (veronica/archie/reggie throuple which yes i'm counting in this because it's just, excellent)

munreggie, rangs, keggangs (kevin/reggie/fangs) are roughly about tied

regpea

mcmantle, veggie, moose/reggie + toni/reggie all hover around similar levels (toni/reggie has really grown on me in s4 and s5 especially tho I ship it hard in the comics) and reorder themselves differently depending (again) on recent canon events and/or my mood

beggie and reghead which is a bit complicated for me because there's obviously potential to both (and I ship both a lot in the comics) even if I don't find their dynamics inherently conducive to shipping with reggie as-is in canon, but i've also written both with friends and had it been excellent so for me it's very much dependent on how they'd develop

chuck/reggie

and also ethel/reggie don't even ask me why because 🤷🏽‍♀️but ❤️

+ i'm trying to think if I'm forgetting anything or anyone but that may be it...?? there's other ot3s/throuples I didn't mention but I ship a lot of those

honorable mention tho to spellmantle (sabrina/reggie) because I ship it sooooo much in the comics and, y'know, it'd probably be fun in the show too if they ever actually allowed us our crossover episode 😞also reggie with nick and/or prudence would slap HARD

polly/reggie is okay I guess but it would REALLY depend on how it was written for me

+ bear in mind most of these rankings are very very close together and do often swap places, sometimes even from several numbers away (for instance I was fairly apathetic to rangs before s4 and now...?). like especially everything between #3-5 all tend to switch places semi-regularly. or how I don't ship regitha yet because there's nothing to go off but if/when I did it'd probably land somewhere in #3-6

(also a lot of them I ship for slightly (or very) different reasons, so that's why my mood can sometimes affect what I'm shipping most at a particular moment because I'll be more in the mood for [x] dynamic over [y] or whatever)

I try to keep a bi-weekly schedule (now usually Sunday updates). But I always let you know when the chapter is done by making a final word count post (pre edits).

depends. on two things: 1) if anyone will even care by that point 2) time. this story has consumed 5 months of my life entirely. i’ve been incredibly strict with myself when it comes to writing it (in a good way) but at best it won’t be finished till the end of august/beginning of september. so likely even if I do, there will be a break for a few months at least. I do have ideas though.

how did you come up with your lore in vamp!au?

to be completely honest....I just wrote a bunch of stuff down and used what stuck. mostly the ideas were pulled out of thin air while still trying to keep within the spirit of the canon material (the high priest, the holy church, the twelve priests, john being the boogeyman etc). camorra as the natural enemy seemed fitting and santino as a vampire prince even more so.

TIPS & ADVICE:

how do you write so much, so quickly?

I don’t think that word count is really reflective of the quality work itself. I don’t think you should worry how much you write, either. 100 words can be just as valuable as 1k. most of them time I have a deadline breathing down my neck and I do work well under pressure so that inspires me to force the chapters out. I also do very long days because despite what it might look like I’m not a fast writer.

how can I improve my writing?

read and practice. I know it’s dumb and overused advice but it’s how I learned english and found my style (still a mess and WIP) but still this advice does help. 

how do you keep motivated?

spite, your support, genuine adoration for these characters/word, a lot of spite. 

do you plan? outline?

I have a vague story outline with specific scenes in mind as I go along (helps to set up foreshadowing, twists, and those ‘full circle’ moments). I also plan each chapter scene by scene and know what each chapter is meant to accomplish. So yeah in a sense.
