(@watchful-lady-of-shadows) “You speak of your family name as if they are well known.” Osseth began, having noted the hybrids words from earlier, “Out of curiosity, who are your family, and what is it they do to gain such recognition?” She paused for a moment before adding on. “And, why is it that ghost types are viewed negatively?”

Shauna: "...!!"

She slowed down upon spotting Osseth. She recognized this Pokemon from old stories that were passed along in the Hestia family.

Beware of the serpent that lives in shadow. It cares not for mortals. As it pleases, it tears apart mind and spirit.

Supposedly, such a Pokemon was so dangerous, it needed to be sealed away.

Shauna: "?"

But having been staring at Osseth for a while, she didn't pick up such malice at all. She looked more friendly than scary; rather, not scary at all.

Her shock and hint of fear gave way quickly to curiosity, barely. Then she remembered that Osseth was asking her something.

Shauna: "Oh!"

That said, she was still a little timid. Just a little.

Shauna: [We have the largest noble house in all the Isle. We study magic, and teach it to those that wanna learn. But our noble house is very, very strict. Only the best of the best get to be one of us.]

Then, a pause. Her previous, almost proud demeanor shifted immediately, into something that vaguely read as resentment.

Shauna: [In our family, we use them as familiars for help with doing tasks. Because ghosts constantly hunger for energy, and we get more than enough to share that energy from our patron deity, Hestia, they get to have as much as they want only when they do what we say.]

Shauna: [We're not really supposed to talk to familiars. But mom did.]

(@watchful-lady-of-shadows) “A champion rank trainer? That means you’re pretty strong, right?” Osseth asked Shinji, carefully settling on the ground in her altered form. Granted, she didn’t know much about what it is trainers did, but she did know this much! “What pokemon work alongside you to achieve this rank? I know you need at least six, but I’ve heard some like to switch up their teams.”

Shinji, who had stepped inside to get a drink, did a double-take. It took everything in his power to swallow the drink he had in his mouth and not choke or spit it out.

Gi-Giratina?! And a mewtwo?! B-But how?!

Pon: They've heard how strong you are Shin! Maybe they want to battle! They asked to see Lue and the others!

Shin: B-Battle?! Ermahem! O-Ok! I'll s-show you my team..

The trainer cracks the door open and shouts.

H-Hey guys! Come out here real quick!

Soon after a Lucario, Zoroark, Furret, Hydrapple, Clodsire, and Quaquaval come out, all of which stand flabbergasted upon noticing the pair of legends.

(@watchful-lady-of-shadows) “Hello there!” Osseth called to Vesta, landing lightly on the ground as her six legs took shape, “I was just a bit curious, the mew of my home realm aids us in creating varied life for our realm. Do you have such a role here as well, or do you prefer living away from such divine duties? I would not blame you if that were the case.”

The hybrid gazed at the giratina for a moment before looking down, her expression saddened.

Oh, how I wish I could take a break...Unfortunately, someone with my abilities can't take a break, no matter how much I want to...I...I had to learn the hard way... As for my duties, I did help create the world alongside Arceus. I also helped care for him when he was hatched. That was in the past however my main goal right now is making sure the prophecy comes to fruition.

The prophecy...I suppose someone was bound to ask. Well, it goes like this...

"There will come a day when the world's fate will be decided by four: the last member of a long-forgotten clan, a bastard child wielding stolen power, a human with hidden potential turned Pokemon, and a guardian who watches over them all. The guardian must guide and mentor the human and clan member until they are ready to face the bastard child in combat, only one side will survive. That side will either save the world or destroy it."

Oh dear, despite her long life, Osseth really had little to no experience with eggs. Most of her days were spent roaming her Void and maintaining her realm, not looking after eggs!

Still, perhaps she could offer some comfort and suggestions?

"There should be time after the egg hatches to collect specific needs depending on species, that is true, but perhaps you could gather more general items beforehand?"

"I am not the most knowledgeable on eggs myself, but considering you live in a city there should be ways to gather such information, like a library, correct? Perhaps it would be a good idea to visit and see what is needed for a child to grow healthy."

She paused, thinking for a moment before tentatively saying, "Raising a child would be easier with the help of others. Is there no one you know who could help you?"

(@watchful-lady-of-shadows) Osseth had tried to fit in front of the camera, she really did! But it seemed no matter when she tried the camera and device it was attached to just couldn't capture her full form. Dismayed but not beaten, she decided to just stick her large head in front of it as much as possible. All the Sableye would see is her large snout and parts of her silver plates, but it would have to do.

“Hello!” she greeted with a chirp. “It’s been quite some time since I’ve spoken to mortal pokemon of other realms! I see you are taking care of an egg. I do hope the little one is well! I must ask, however, how is it you plan to care for the little one? Have you gathered the general materials necessary to care for a child?”

OF COURSE I HAVE! I GATHER FOOD FOR MYSELF EVERY DAY, I'VE GOT A NICE SAFE SHELTER, WHAT MORE COULD THEY NEED?

[Conny's smile drops into a face of contemplation, quickly turning to something of horror as he glances around at the dumpster he lives in.]

(@watchful-lady-of-shadows) “Hello!” Osseth greeted Wo with a wave of her tendril, “I hope you don't mind me popping in to chat, haha. This place is quite lovely, and I wanted to see it for myself!"

"I am a bit curious though. From what I have heard and seen in other realms, those like you are quite, ah, feared by the general populace. But you speak of this region with an easy familiarity. I was wondering if it’s because they have grown used to your presence over time, or if this realm simply differs from others by having inhabitants with a more open mind.”

Wo went wide-eyed upon seeing the Giratina appearing outside his shrine.

Wo: "I never thought that I would get to meet and talk with someone like you. I have read about Giratina before, but meeting one is considered a rarity. The compliment is much appreciated, thank you!"

He listened to what was said, then had a think.

Wo: "While it was true that the populace of this region did view myself and the other 'Ruins' as entities to be feared, it didn't stay that way for long. I did work on letting both humans and other Pokemon know that they could trust me, and, in turn, I could trust them. I have been working alongside humans for a long while now as an assistance Pokemon, with my roles going between tasks such as helping get various cat-like Pokemon down from trees, to assisting the teachers in the academy."

The snail looked up at Osseth.

Wo: "I do hope that you aren't afraid of me, as I would like to know more about you! Maybe, if it is possible, we could do that over some tea?"

(@watchful-lady-of-shadows) “Hello there, and sorry for the scare!” Osseth said to the three young mons, waving a tendril in greeting, “It’s been a while since I’ve visited a realm such as this one, and out of curiosity I wanted to pop in and check it out! If you don’t mind me asking, what is this community you currently reside in? Does it have a name?”

"A Giratina...woah. Is that what Aip was talking about when it came to Gods coming over....this is so soon," Haruto had the biggest grin on his face as he gaze up at Osseth. "I feel you and Az would get along..."

In the midst of his muttering, Haruto was brought out of his thought by the light squeezing of his hand by Finn. He gently pulled his brother behind him and smiled. "My brother already stated it....but I can go into better details about our location! We're in the Shiororis country! It's a very snowy country as you notice! Can't say I'm too much of a fan of it, given my type and all."

Haruto huffed. "Common Gods that tend to be worshipped here are the Natural Merits with Kyurem, Reshiram and Zekrom being the most prominent. We're currently in the Village of Veritas. The people here worship Reshiram! The Pokemon here are really nice. I was really nervous at first...since well...I don't have the BEST experience when it comes to villages."

At the comment about their differing sizes, Osseth became a bit sheepish, "Ah, apologies. Most of my time is spent with others around my size, so I had forgotten how large I am in comparison to others. I do in fact posses the ability to shape shift! One moment please."

With that, her large body was encased in dark, liquid shadow, which begun to shrink quickly. After a moment, the shadow solidified once more, revealing her new form.

"Now it should be much easier and more comfortable for us to speak!" Osseth said with a smile, body held aloft on feathery wings.

"Now, about this realm! What a fascinating story, and a very effective solution. With how temperamental and territorial some gods can be, gifting each their own realm is practically guaranteed to make everyone satisfied. It sounds like the Arceus of your realm is quite lovely!"

"It's also very interesting to hear about your duties. You clearly play a very important role here, and from what I've seen you've done an amazing job! I am also glad to hear that you have plenty of time for rest too, taking breaks is always important, no matter what some may say."

At the explanation on Lunala and Solgaleo, Osseth nodded with a slight chuckle, "Well, it seems like our realms have something in common, at least slightly! For us, all Lunala and Solgaleo originate from two who are divine, the first of their species. They play an important role in protecting the cycles of day and night, and there is a great diversity in their duties. Oh, how lovely to hear about the differences and similarities we share!"

(@watchful-lady-of-shadows) ”Greetings, and apologies for the sudden visit.” Osseth said (currently in her origin form), giving the Jirachi a gentle smile and nod in greeting, “I enjoy exploring different realms when given the chance, and was very curious about this one! It is always fascinating to see how legends differ across realms."

"If it’s possible, I would love to hear more about this place and your role within it! My home realm has no Jirachi, though we do have plenty of Lunala and Solgaleo roaming the different spaces that compose it. From the sound of things, however, that is not the case for you.”

Being met with calm and politeness, the Jirachi slightly perked up from the sluggish posture; all they saw was a big serpent presented infront of the small desk, giving few good blinks and not showing much fear thanks to the gentle attitude she tilted her head

Being polite in return, she flew right back up, trying to catch up with the height of the giratina so they could talk eye to eye(?)

They gave a big yawn and stretch when saying it but then they cleared their throat quickly now.

"This place, or well...realm, was gifted to us by Arceus herself. It was given during the so-called God War, where all the main gods we have here started to have arguments and disagreements about land and space, which started to turn into violent acts, insults, anything to steer each other into big conflicts. You might ask why Arceus let this happen in the first place; well, she was in slumber regaining her power from creating life, humans, and other fellow gods." she streached out in small thought again, floating in air calmly, her hand time to time reaching out to her ribbons to fidget with them

"I had multiple roles as Rising moon wished to trust only one lesser-god she might have made herself; I took up role of a peacemaker, a messenger and kept tracks of Moon's duties when needed, or just simply brought the weaker creatures their last wishes true..." She paused at last, falling quiet for a moment before just shaking her head as she quickly straightened out

Now all I gotta do is keep track of her duties and attendances at meetings, which I dont mind; I get plenty of centuries of rest." she chuckled to herself before continuing, "They are trying now their ebst to make it up to us and make our lives easier while still trying to keep us busy so we dont lose our minds by doing nothing."

"Hm anyway..." she took a small breather before continuing, "We do have other Lunalas here but only them, Eternal Day has Solgaleos; they act as cosmic guards; they are keeping threats away to enter either our realms or the earth's surface. They dont have the same power as Rising Moon but they are powerful enough."

"Ah, greetings! I understand that my appearance varies from the standard quite a bit, so your confusion is understandable. There is a reason for this however!"

"I have previously mentioned Divine Epithets, however what I did not mention is that me and my siblings also have these epithets! Mine is 'Star-veiled' while Kuiper and Parcae are 'Moon-Veiled' and 'Sun-Veiled' respectively. These titles reflect on our appearance and our domains."

[ @ask-valiant-victory ] Valiant @ Osseth: "Star-veiled? That sounds quite silly!" The fox happily smiled at her, his voice was as cheerful as ever but it was clear he had not a single clue what she was talking about. "You know you look quite ordinary for the offspring of something so monstrous and horrifying! Are you sure you and that THING are related?" He seemed to put an unusual amount of emphasis on the word as he spoke, "Perhaps this is some kind of disguise to hide your true nature? Surely you must be equally grotesque!!"

Osseth was a bit conflicted. The words, while undoubtedly rude and crass, did not seem to hold any real malice behind them. Was this way of speaking simply normal in this pokemon's realm? Were their creation trio and Arceus more forces of nature then living thing?

Though she wasn't a fan of him calling her parent a thing, she decided to er on the side of caution and politeness, answering the question with perhaps more gentleness then deserved, "You are partially right. This form is not a disguise, it is a true representation and expression of myself, however it is not my 'original form', to put it one way."

"While I personally wouldn't use the word 'grotesque', I do understand that my Abou is strange in comparison to what an Arceus usually looks like. Me and my siblings do look similarly strange, as that is our nature."

She paused for a second before carefully speaking again, "...I say this at the risk of sounding incredibly ignorant. While I understand realms may vary vastly from one another, I do implore you to be a bit more careful with your words. Your manner of speech may come across as a bit... rude and crass."

"Ah, yes, you are correct. In most realms it is only Dialga and Palkia with this ability. In addition to those two, however, my home realm has many creatures with the ability to traverse both space and time, albeit to a limited degree."

"I believe in other places they are called Ultra Beasts. A certain sect of these beasts are more powerful then others, and use their powers to travel through the many interconnected dimensions that make up the whole of my home realm. This is because these beasts are the offspring of those with the Divine Epithet of ‘Deified’."

"As an example, I will use two of the more common ultra beasts across realms. Hopefully you will recognize their names."

"For us, the species of Solagelo and Lunala all originate from two who are more powerful then all others. My realm has no major legends such as Rayquaza or Lugia, and as such these Deified Beasts fill this role instead. Solgaleo guards the sun, truth, and hearth. Lunala watches over the moon, ideals, and travel."

"They help in maintaining the realm within these domains, and so when they made their creations to aid in these duties, those creations were incredibly powerful in turn."

"Each species who are offspring of these Deified Beasts have a unique home realm, and will travel to and fro as they please by crossing time and space. This means that me and my siblings must be diligent in our duties to ensure that these 'paths' used by ultra beast populations remain clear and connected to our overworld. Any disruption would be disastrous."
