* @ask-the-golden-god Cepheus approaches Osseth, quite impressed by her.*

Cepheus: Yo yo yo! How's it hanging? You are such a radical-looking giratina! Like, all the colours you've got going on are most excellent! I love those vibes! Now, my son has multiple different forms. One for the distortion realm and one for the regular, mortal realm. I've heard some 'tinas be blessed with more than that. Most outstanding vibes for them I say. We all love a good alternative form or two. How many do you have?

“Ah, greetings sir, and thank you for the kind words! It is always a pleasure and honour to meet other makers. You’re quite ‘radical-looking’ yourself! Over my years of travel and observation I have seen many Arceus, but none quite like you!”

At the question, her smile dulled somewhat, “Ah, yes, like your son I also have both of those forms, but unlike him I have quite a few others. I have alternate forms I use when interacting with mortals, within and without my home realm. Those forms, however, are not ‘me’ in the same way my primary ones are. Like you mentioned, most Giratina have two forms, however I am one of those few with another, three in total.”

“My two standard forms are not really… real, at least not in the same way they are for most other Giratina. These forms are real to me, and I love them very much, but they are a byproduct of me observing other realms and attempting to mimic what is considered ‘normal’ for the vast majority of universes.” She explained, slightly sheepish. “Because of that I am not confined to either form depending on the dimension, and I can freely take on my legged one within the distortion world, my home. This holds true for the opposite as well, my more serpent like form can be used in the mortal plane as well.”

She seemed a bit uncomfortable speaking about it, especially to another who was (in her eyes) of greater station than herself, but was firm in her resolve, “My original form is not grotesque or disgusting, but it can be off-putting to many. I’ve had some unfortunate encounters with other Giratina before, so I tend to take on this form when interacting with others. My true form is beautiful to all those who matter, and that is enough for me.” But that didn't mean their comments didn't hurt at all. Over the years she’d become almost numb to it, easily able to shrug off negative comments, but it was still unfortunate that some were unwilling to embrace the vast diversity across realms.

At the comment about their differing sizes, Osseth became a bit sheepish, "Ah, apologies. Most of my time is spent with others around my size, so I had forgotten how large I am in comparison to others. I do in fact posses the ability to shape shift! One moment please."

With that, her large body was encased in dark, liquid shadow, which begun to shrink quickly. After a moment, the shadow solidified once more, revealing her new form.

"Now it should be much easier and more comfortable for us to speak!" Osseth said with a smile, body held aloft on feathery wings.

"Now, about this realm! What a fascinating story, and a very effective solution. With how temperamental and territorial some gods can be, gifting each their own realm is practically guaranteed to make everyone satisfied. It sounds like the Arceus of your realm is quite lovely!"

"It's also very interesting to hear about your duties. You clearly play a very important role here, and from what I've seen you've done an amazing job! I am also glad to hear that you have plenty of time for rest too, taking breaks is always important, no matter what some may say."

At the explanation on Lunala and Solgaleo, Osseth nodded with a slight chuckle, "Well, it seems like our realms have something in common, at least slightly! For us, all Lunala and Solgaleo originate from two who are divine, the first of their species. They play an important role in protecting the cycles of day and night, and there is a great diversity in their duties. Oh, how lovely to hear about the differences and similarities we share!"

(@watchful-lady-of-shadows) ”Greetings, and apologies for the sudden visit.” Osseth said (currently in her origin form), giving the Jirachi a gentle smile and nod in greeting, “I enjoy exploring different realms when given the chance, and was very curious about this one! It is always fascinating to see how legends differ across realms."

"If it’s possible, I would love to hear more about this place and your role within it! My home realm has no Jirachi, though we do have plenty of Lunala and Solgaleo roaming the different spaces that compose it. From the sound of things, however, that is not the case for you.”

Being met with calm and politeness, the Jirachi slightly perked up from the sluggish posture; all they saw was a big serpent presented infront of the small desk, giving few good blinks and not showing much fear thanks to the gentle attitude she tilted her head

Being polite in return, she flew right back up, trying to catch up with the height of the giratina so they could talk eye to eye(?)

They gave a big yawn and stretch when saying it but then they cleared their throat quickly now.

"This place, or well...realm, was gifted to us by Arceus herself. It was given during the so-called God War, where all the main gods we have here started to have arguments and disagreements about land and space, which started to turn into violent acts, insults, anything to steer each other into big conflicts. You might ask why Arceus let this happen in the first place; well, she was in slumber regaining her power from creating life, humans, and other fellow gods." she streached out in small thought again, floating in air calmly, her hand time to time reaching out to her ribbons to fidget with them

"I had multiple roles as Rising moon wished to trust only one lesser-god she might have made herself; I took up role of a peacemaker, a messenger and kept tracks of Moon's duties when needed, or just simply brought the weaker creatures their last wishes true..." She paused at last, falling quiet for a moment before just shaking her head as she quickly straightened out

Now all I gotta do is keep track of her duties and attendances at meetings, which I dont mind; I get plenty of centuries of rest." she chuckled to herself before continuing, "They are trying now their ebst to make it up to us and make our lives easier while still trying to keep us busy so we dont lose our minds by doing nothing."

"Hm anyway..." she took a small breather before continuing, "We do have other Lunalas here but only them, Eternal Day has Solgaleos; they act as cosmic guards; they are keeping threats away to enter either our realms or the earth's surface. They dont have the same power as Rising Moon but they are powerful enough."

Wo @ Osseth: (the snail carefully navigated around until he saw the Giratina) "Hello again! I hope you don't mind me being here! It makes one wonder - is this place your main domain, or do you live elsewhere? And would you like to join me for tea sometime?"

"Ah, hello once more! Tea sounds lovely, but you're confusion is understandable. Now that you say it, I probably should have shown people earlier, it is much safer then simply floating through the void." She said, a bit bashfully, "Now that you bring it up I feel a little silly for not doing it sooner."

"This expanse of the Distortion World is my entire domain, so long as it is directly connected to my home realm, however I do have a home!" She explained, "My personal quarters are within a large cave carved out of a mountain, but the area surrounding it also contains a structure that others are welcome to rest at."

"It contains a large, flat stone with an enchanted flame burning in the centre, and is lined with soft pillows and fabrics. It is where me and my siblings spend time when they visit me!"

"If you would like, we can spend time there and have a chat, I'm certain I have some tea's stored within my home. Kuiper, my brother, is a big fan of tea and drinks it all the time, so I keep some on hand mostly for him, haha."

"Ah, well I'm quite happy you will strive to do better!" And relived that this pokemon wasn't actually hostile. Though his word choice did worry her. Why were those words the same in meaning? Was it a translation error? Or was something more sinister brewing in this pokemon's realm...

Osseth decided to focus on the current conversation for now. "Strange is a better word, yes. While I, or I suppose, we in this case, may seem strange to others, this does not mean we are wrong to be the way we are! We are simply different from the standard."

"At the current moment I have no plans on showing my 'original form', and in a way it is partially due to what you stated. This form is simpler to maneuver in and is much more approachable. Like this I can more easily interact with the world around me. Though, I suppose if someone was interested, I could show my true form."

[ @ask-valiant-victory ] Valiant @ Osseth: "Star-veiled? That sounds quite silly!" The fox happily smiled at her, his voice was as cheerful as ever but it was clear he had not a single clue what she was talking about. "You know you look quite ordinary for the offspring of something so monstrous and horrifying! Are you sure you and that THING are related?" He seemed to put an unusual amount of emphasis on the word as he spoke, "Perhaps this is some kind of disguise to hide your true nature? Surely you must be equally grotesque!!"

Osseth was a bit conflicted. The words, while undoubtedly rude and crass, did not seem to hold any real malice behind them. Was this way of speaking simply normal in this pokemon's realm? Were their creation trio and Arceus more forces of nature then living thing?

Though she wasn't a fan of him calling her parent a thing, she decided to er on the side of caution and politeness, answering the question with perhaps more gentleness then deserved, "You are partially right. This form is not a disguise, it is a true representation and expression of myself, however it is not my 'original form', to put it one way."

"While I personally wouldn't use the word 'grotesque', I do understand that my Abou is strange in comparison to what an Arceus usually looks like. Me and my siblings do look similarly strange, as that is our nature."

She paused for a second before carefully speaking again, "...I say this at the risk of sounding incredibly ignorant. While I understand realms may vary vastly from one another, I do implore you to be a bit more careful with your words. Your manner of speech may come across as a bit... rude and crass."

Arceus: Another of my kind. It is always interesting to compare the differences. Tell me, how does one such as yourself view your own spawn? Are they beings which do the tasks they are required to complete or fool around with their powers like careless children? And how do you keep control of them if they choose to abuse their abilities?

Metatarsus observed Arceus for a moment, mulling over the words in their head. Then, they responded in that same, earth-rattling voice.

"My children," They seemed to stress the word, "Have always preformed their duties admirably and to the best of their abilities. Errors that occurred were due to youth and inexperience, not outright malice. My youngest would overwork herself, my second would be a bit too lax in ruling, and my eldest would be a bit too distant from the people she tended to. However, all have grown and overcome these flaws. They have made me proud."

"What many seem to forget is that, despite their power, they are also alive in more 'baser' ways. Each have ample time for rest and play, and as such they are easily able to preform their duties, even over-preforming in certain instances. By their nature they do not, cannot, abuse their abilities. It is important to instill these ideas during their youth, after all."

Metatarsus spoke, plainly and simply, without any accusation or judgment in their voice. "In a way, these three are a trial for each Maker, a test, though they should not be seen as one. In my opinion..."

“Woah! This place is something else! I can barely keep my footing around here, how do you even sleep?” He was laughing as he was floating around, enjoying the experience.

"Yes, the Distortion World can be quite disorienting to those unfamiliar with it." Osseth said, following behind the free floating Shaymin, ensuring he wouldn't drift too far into the void, "Luckily for me, not only am I perfectly adapted to this place, I also have no need for sleep!"

"I do, however, have various rest points scattered throughout my territory, islands where I can relax and rest if I so choose. While not needed, sleep can aid in recovering energy and clearing the mind. I indulge in it on occasion."

Carefully, she plucked Sonic out of the 'air' with her tendrils, holding him gently, "Now, while I am glad you seem to be enjoying yourself here, it is not exactly the safest of places. It's best we get you home as soon as we can!"

"Ah, greetings! I understand that my appearance varies from the standard quite a bit, so your confusion is understandable. There is a reason for this however!"

"I have previously mentioned Divine Epithets, however what I did not mention is that me and my siblings also have these epithets! Mine is 'Star-veiled' while Kuiper and Parcae are 'Moon-Veiled' and 'Sun-Veiled' respectively. These titles reflect on our appearance and our domains."

[ @ask-a-silvy ] Shauna @Metatarsus: She started to wave to the titanic Arceus to get their attention, but paused as she took in their scale. Her paw rested thoughtfully upon her chin for some moments, before getting the idea to simply fly up close.

Sitting upon her broom-sized wand and seemingly unafraid of the unimaginable height she floated at, she waved with a smile at Metatarsus, scribbling the following note and showing it before their massive eye.

[Wow, you're very, very big! Definitely the biggest giant I ever met. So are you anything like Osseth? Do you look at your domain much like she does? What is it like?]

When Shauna held up the small sign, the Arceus dd not visibly react in any way. It remained still and silent, and did not seem to acknowledge her presence at all. Considering it's titanic size, this wasn't too much of a surprise.

The truth was that, in reality, Shauna had been showing her sign to the wrong eye.

Metatarsus' true eye, above the false ones in it's 'face' shone down on Shauna like a spotlight, nearly blinding her with the sudden glow. They inspected the small pokemon for a moment in silence before a powerful, rumbling voice spoke in her head.

"I see you have come to meet my daughter. Such is unsurprising, Osseth has always been more prone to wandering and exploring, greeting new acquaintances with glee. To compare us is understandable, but our domains are not exactly the same, though overlap does exist."

"My domain is my realm itself, life and death, creation and destruction, the world turning eternally. Time, space, and distortion all belong to me equally, and while I can manipulate these forces, my children are the ones who truly master it. I ensure my realms survival, along with all within it. I feel all that occurs, and watch over it dutifully. As such, I am always preforming my duties. This is the joy and burden of being a creator."
