What are all of you up to these days?

Osomatsu: "I managed to get this pretty great teaching gig. Funds my pachinko habits and I get to bother Choro 'cause the archives he works at are on the same campus as me!"

Karamatsu: "I ended up getting really into studying and caring for dragons back when we were kids, so I just kept doing that! I tend to end up traveling a lot more than the others, so I don't always see them as much, but I love what I do!"

Choromatsu: "I work to guard and maintain the Magical World Archives. It's mostly just making sure a certain someone doesn't cause any problems when he comes by to harass me"

Ichimatsu: "Mostly make medicine. Sometimes poisons"

Jyushimatsu: "Hmm?? All kinds of stuff!! Gotta keep busy busy!! Right now I'm making something super special as a gift for someone, it's a secret!!"

Todomatsu: "I've been trying out some new seeds I just got from Karamatsu! He brought back some neat ones from his travels"

*Cracks my knuckles.* SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD IN VARYING DEGREES OF ALL RELATED MEDIA (Just in case)

Alright, so. We have Yuuya and Sakuya in the game, right? Yuuya is a very flirty guy who seemingly walks up to people and just flirts with them as his primary way to communicate. He especially uses pet names and phrases meant to come across as alluring and generally sees himself as rather masculine.

He's very kind generally, but rather dramatic in his phrasings when casual. He cares a lot about his younger brother (Sakuya) despite the latter being an absolute asshole to him and very openly looking down on him and disowning him as having any sort of relation to each other. He can take responsibility and be serious and smart despite his casual manners. He comes across as a bit self-sacrificial for the sake of what matters to him (take it with a grain of salt, I'm unsure if that was just me projecting while playing or not). This is VERY similar to the general idea I personally have of Karamatsu (I might be a bit out of the loop these days, pardon me if things have changed the past few years to make this untrue.) I also have to mention the depiction of them both with roses, just as a sidenote. Now Sakuya, as previously mentioned, isn't very nice to his brother... But this is true with most others he interacts with too. He has an elitist idea of the world and is very firm in those beliefs despite having personal dreams that contradict what he's been raised to believe.

He's racist and rude and he holds himself in high regard due to his lineage and is generally a pompous asshole. However, he admits to being jealous of how simple your life and dreams are when you romance him and get one of his endings. He envies the ability to just do whatever you want without all these expectations he has grown up with, and in the true ending you see him relying on your simple life, if a bit begrudgingly, in a way that I can't imagine he's relied on anybirdie before. This to me feels extremely similar to the way Astarion acts if you romance him, especially as a spawn (I don't have much on-hand experience with the ascended experience as it upsets me too much to experience like that.)

Now, it's important to note that there are likely many other characters that overlap with the lads in different ways, but Kara and Astarion are two that I've very specifically hyperfixated on in detail, and while I only yesterday started experiencing the TRUE Hatoful Boyfriend experience, I feel like I've at least gotten a good enough grasp on Yuuya and Sakuya in the very general ways they interact with the world to make the joke art that prompted this ask, and I hope this explains my vision well now that I'm not just half-awake and just rambling in my tags aksjdgfhadsfdgfhghsddff Thank you so much for the ask, I'm curious if you or anybody else reading this has any extra notes to give in response, I'm always happy to hear y'all's thoughts!! :o) Edit: Link to the Post this is derived from (Yes, it leads to the actual blog and not just the shitty app version the homepage has these days, I swear I'm only a little spiteful)

Choromatsu: "They do actually! Nemuru is the left head, and Midori is the right head. Not the most creative names, but I did name them when I was younger."

Choromatsu: "Nemuru's always pretty tired, So I need to bribe him to get stuff done sometimes. Midori is affectionate, but a bit clingy. He doesn't like when I have to leave for the day. They both REALLY love water though, that's something they've always had in common. Probably because they're semi-aquatic."
