today i exfoliated, moisturized, drank a shitton of liquids, ate a handful of fresh veggies, went for a stupid little walk and basked in the sunlight pouring through my windows after a short sesh of cleaning and all i gotta say is: damn, life do be feelin good when ur depression takes a vacation

i struggle to fucken believe they actually gave me a whole ass week of vacation time. hadn't had a proper vacay since like september of last year... now all i gotta do is brew myself a barrel full of coffee and get down to business 👩‍🎨

so as you noticed, it's been. quite a while dskjfjdskldfs

i'll post some doodles after this post but i feel like y'all deserve an explanation lol

initially i disappeared cause my internet was mostly down for a whole month! and then i felt guilty, and then i got very sick and burned out, and then i got COVID lmao and that kicked my butt severely, i still have a leftover cough from it (my self isolation days end tomorrow tho :D i wanna go outside so bad)

i was having a very hard time finding motivation to draw dipcifica, despite having a solid number of asks that i could have referenced. nothing was really working out tbh, and then tumblr also decided to not let me know that i got any further asks or messages in the time i was gone until i opened it right now on my laptop (i'll answer to some of them after this) so i didn't know people were actively looking for me lol

i'm very sorry for being gone for this long! i don't think i'm going to be able to go back to daily posts, but someone in my inbox suggested monthly doodles and y'know what, that i can do, that's possible JDSFKDSJ so mayhaps i'll change the url to fit that :O

i'm also wondering if it'd be a good idea to like, open up submissions? if people wanted to showcase their own dipcifica doodles? or just dm me so i can reblog their work :O so that could become a more regular thing - it's just an idea for now but! just putting it out there, if there's any interest let me know!

anyway, again, i apologize for my absence and silence! we'll see how things will go from here :O i can't do daily anymore at this point, but monthly's doable!

This is the last one for tonight because I'm tired and it'll be harder to do proper mimicry if I'm tired so I probably won't get to Cryptidw00rm's style tonight but I did look at their twt and it's a really cool style! I definitely want to try it if/when I do more of these tomorrow :D

Anyways:

Indy's your Gharan

This was a tough one! Mainly because I also wanted to try your shading style which is really neat and hard to get right, and even after a bit of futzing I still don't think I got it right, but I'm very happy with it. Your style is also one that has a lot of good texture in the hair and stuff, and the shapes overall are just *Chef's kiss* I was also very lucky that's you've actually drawn Gharan before so I could work off of that too XD All in all very fun style!

For those who don't know of it, I based this little doodle off a piece Indy did of Gharan that she posted in the KOS discord and I love it so so much. Especially the little ghosty souls- Which I might just adopt into my usual Gharan drawings- because I've always described her as having an extremely cold and menacing aura and the idea of her actually having angry souls following her around that people can't necessarily see but are still sort of passively acting as a warning to the people around her is *chef's kiss*
