You know, she said that she is afraid of being forced into bed and I automatically assumed that white haired guy raped her but if she needs to stay pure for her magic to work, that can not be it. So what did he actually do to her?

Why are we suddenly talking about this?

He gets a possible future bride and she goes into hiding? I guess she just wants him to focus on that girl, but it still feels like she can not take him falling in love with someone else and thus hiding from seeing it.

Damn, he gets bolder with every Episode. This Hand is very close to being lower than just her belly.

How has she not noticed yet that she is in love with the man?

I do not know how that is supposed to give that girl that Oscars is suppose to marry any reason to act in a way that could help them to figure out what she wants. This is just a stupid as excuse for Oscar to see them and freak out about it in 3... 2... 1...

But that was really out of character for Oscar to go this far, even in his jealous state. It really felt like a weak plot device to let him face what her trauma actually did to her.

Vol8 Review Ep1

It’s that special time of year again! Let’s get started.

I wish I recorded my reactions sometimes because I was genuinely like “Who is th- Oh finally!! Cinder backstory!!!” Then it ended. I’m happy it’s finally happening though. I’m tired of knowing nothing about her besides liking power and clothes.

This big boi has landing strips in his mouth. Salem really thought of everything.

New outfits!!! I had given up hope! Even Hazel got a redesign. I find it funny how it makes more sense with the way he fights but he’s now wearing less in the coldest region. Emerald looks really good in white and Mercury’s jacket looks like it belongs in KH3. Mainly because of the collar, but it looks cool.

Between the opening excluding Mercury in the Cinder line up, Salem blatantly telling Cinder she’s nothing but a valuable tool, and Neo looking skeptical about everything around here, I got a feeling someone might screw another person over because they’re trying to make a power play. I don’t know who but I have a feeling one of the people in this shot is going to die. My money is Cinder or Emerald. Emerald would totally try to help Cinder believe in her power or motives and Cinder ends up in a predicament where she kills Emerald to prove her “loyalty” to Salem. That would be a shock to Merc’s system. Especially after the talks in volume 6.

*inhales* I love and hate this scene all at the same time. Thank you Rooster, it’s a little of what I wanted. A team can argue. Ruby and Yang should definitely be arguing. Here’s where my anger comes in. Yang Xiao Long needs to be punched in the face. She’s been a hypocrite about telling the truth since V6 and now she’s telling Ruby that all her decisions so far haven’t gone well. Yang helped sabotage those decisions. Yang didn’t follow Ruby’s lead! She went behind her back after convincing Blake to go along with the idea to tell Robyn. Ironwood figured they out, then used it as more ground to stand on for his reasons not to trust the entire team and make the Ace Ops not think twice about arresting you. Also, it’s weird that this is where Yang wants to draw the line of what it means to be a huntress and not back down from a fight. Defending only Atlas is bad, protecting Mantle with less help is fine, but attempting to signal the entire world so they’re prepared is crazy? It’s almost like short sided thinking, and yet it isn’t? I’m very upset with her. Yang is one of my favorites.

Jaune and Oscar are officially the keepers of peace between teams. You love to see it. It makes sense. Jaune and Oscar have both shown they are the kind of people that not only just want to help people the best way they can, but also want to keep all their friends healthy and happy. Their both going on Yang’s team though so I wonder how that will shape up. Maybe the dorks will be able to grab their other two teammates and have them look inward as well as outward towards the people they hurting by being so confrontational. I mean Yang and Ruby’s talk is longest it’s been in awhile and it’s an argument! That’s terrible!

For once I’m interested in what the Ace Ops are gonna do. Like if I’d imagine a rematch with Team RWBY would go way differently now that they think Qrow killed Clover, which he kinda sorta did do that by making a bad call but....I digress. It would actually be pretty nice to see them fight the heroes while being hyper emotional as a way to break down the act of they only care about each other on a team level. Especially if Harriet cried. Yang’s talk about them only following orders would make her feel a little bit of guilt and Ruby gets a hard case of how the actions of her team have spiraled in ways she never wanted to happen. Good people hurting good people for what the sake of what they think is “right” would hit a lot harder.

As this scene happened, The US President results came in. Someone asked what I was watching and I said a councilman was just shot by Due Process. Ironwood now has two strikes against him for me. All the jokes I made about him shooting people has now gone off the deep end.

I wonder how the Winter and the Ace Ops are gonna react to no heart Ironwood. That’s gonna be fun.

All in all, strong first episode. Can’t wait for more. Ruby and Nora is totally going to yell at Yang and Ren when Oscar gets yanked into the sky on their watch. This shit is dire. 😅
