Do you ever just want to add a minor world building thing to a world but just don’t know how… like I was thinking that it would be funny to have a bunch of different kid movie magic be cannon. Like honey I shrunk the kids, or you know the cupboard that makes toys alive.
I was thinking just a regular world… but there is a new pest. Be ware if your hose gets infected with orks. Some kid had this cupboard and decided to put their ork miniatures in it… they got most of them back to plastic but 1 got eaten by a bird… now 20 years later they are everywhere

Transmission coming from deep within Ork territory:
"Oi lads listen up I have been thinking. If da Shougit doesn't wanna give us da DAKKA, we will go to Morkskau and take it for ourselves - and then I will go to da warboss, and bash his zoggin' head in, WITH DA DAKKA! Not gonna shoot it, just take it into me fist and krump that git so hard they's gonna hear it all da way to Vladiworkstork!
And then we have ALL DA DAKKA IN DA WORLD! DAKKA FOR EVERY BOY WORTH HIS SNOT! SO MUCH DAKKA WE HAVE TO BUILD EVEN MORE SHOOTAS TO BLAST IT ALL! WHO'S WITH ME? WE MARCH ON MORKSKAU - WAAAAAAGH!"

Warhammer 40k & Age of Sigmar – Trans Pride series !
Tumblr media
My other big pride project, with the pride marine series ! The goal here is to paint one representative for each of the Warhammer40k and Age of Sigmar universes faction using the Trans Pride flag color scheme.
I’ve already done 11 factions (12 to be exact, the Ork I finished lately isn’t on the group picture yet).
Pictured above, from left to right :
Banshee (Nightaunt – AOS)
Horrmagaunt (Tyranids – W40k)
Spiritseer (Eldar – W40k)
Drone (Tau – W40k)
Cadian Castellan (Astra Militarum – W40k)
Reiver Space Marine (Adeptus Astartes – W40k)
Royal Warden (Necron – W40k)
Plague Marine (Death Guard – W40k)
Palatine (Adepta Sororita – W40k
Skitarii Marshall (Adeptus Mechanicus – W40k)
Xandria Azurebolt (Stormcast – AOS)
And a Warboss in Mega Armour I will post here later, probably.
Project Origins
For those who are wondering why I started this project, it’s pretty simple.
Everything started with a single model (obviously), the Horrmagaunt. I was trying to find an interesting gift idea for a close friend and, remembering that friend love the Tyrannids, I thought of painting them a little bugger. Since I wanted that gift to be even more personal, I decided to use colors that would be really meaningful to them, the trans pride flag colors. It was a first, since, up until that moment, I almost exclusively painted classic schemes (imperial Fists, blood angels, salamanders, etc...).
Here was the result :
Tumblr media
As you can see, my goal when translating flag colors on a mini isn’t to reproduce the flag 1 for 1, but to evoke it as naturally and logically as possible.
To be perfectly honest, when I started that little gift, I wasn’t entirely convinced the result would be all that great. After all, it was first and foremost more about the meaning behind the colors than anything else. But oooooooh boy was I wrong because, as the kids says, « that shit slaps yo » or something. I don’t know, I’m not a kid anymore !!
But one thing was certain, I fell in love with that scheme and couldn’t wait painting it again.
So, that’s what I did, that time with a Space Marine seeing those are my personal favorites. And once again, I was really pleased with the end result :
Tumblr media
Also look at them, being best friend forever, woooooh !
Tumblr media
You can easily guess what’s next. I simply had to try that scheme on basically everything, so I started the project of doing it on every faction !
Hell, I had so much fun painting such an unusual scheme, and having to find ways to integrate it logically on a mini, that it's the reason I started another project in parallel, the pride marine one, to try and see if the other pride flag schemes would work as well as the trans pride flag (guess what : not a single one of the scheme I tried disappointed me, even if I have favorites).
Anyway, if you want to try that scheme on your minis and need some inspiration / guidance, here is the recipe I use for the 3 main colors of the flag. Have fun !

so random dnd inspired BatFam au. Except it’s just Bruce’s kids (sorry no Steph or Babs ) I have Cass Dick and Japan worked out for their species. Cass - human
Dick - Half-elf
Jason - Half-ork
I think Damian could be like a dragon born. But like where Ra’s was a dragon born, then had Talia. Then Talia had Damian, so he’s more human than dragon born but he still says he’s dragon born, and you can actually see that he is? Idk. But I also think Duke is a tiefling, why? Idk it just gives vibes 🤷 the only I need to figure out still is Tim.

I finally finished reading Whiskey-Four by John Louis and it was easily a 9/10.
Cyberpunk interactive novel where you're a disabled ex government assassin who gets abruptly reactivated and assigned to a case where a corporation is up to some apocalyptic bullshit and you gotta stop them. Also your jilted ex lover is in town and they're obsessed with you after you shot them nine years ago and they're gonna be really inconvenient about it.
The writing is excellent, the characters are memorable, there are some genuinely hilarious moments, and the action is intense (tho it drags on a bit too much for my taste in the third act). Also it seems very much inspired by the worldbuilding of the Warp in wh40k, if that's your bag. No orks unfortunately but there is punching so one outta two ain't bad.
Anyway John Louis is my favorite IF author and he absolutely killed it with this one

Big Iron on his hip. A little doodle sketch of a Solibri cowboy defending a Servus Aether farmer from a Urukai Bandit.
We might be inclined to post more about the species of our universe if there seems to be interest regarding them! We’ve got a whole ass documentaries worth of info regarding em lmao.

I am having a brain rot that Guilliman is just Eldrad Ulthwe’s rebound after Fulgrim.
*Eldrad gets visions from the Aeldari gods*
Gods: “You must go and warn the humans, they are about to do the same mistakes as we did. They are falling for the allure of chaos. This cannot happen.”
Eldrad: “who do I warn?”
Gods:” I dont fucking know, the blonde one with the roman inspired legion.”
Eldrad: “Check. Also, isnt it kind of funny how every civilisation have their Roman period?”
Gods: “I know right, I think there was a Star Trek episode about it.”
Eldrad: “yeah I saw that one. Also, the orks got so weird with their second one.”
Gods: “shit, dont remind us about that.”
Eldrad: “well, off I go.”
*a few moments later*
Eldrad, screaming: “that did not go according to plan!”
Gods: “what do you mean? You haven't even talked to him.”
Eldrad: “oh I did, it did not go well. He got a Slaaneshi sword and everything.”
Gods: “what? No he doesnt, he is literally over here doing nothing” *points to the Ultramar system*
Eldrad: “shit. I got the wrong brother. I didnt know there were two blonde romans... I’ll guess I’ll go again.... And also, can I borrow another Avatar of Khaine?”
Gods: “WHAT DID YOU DO?!?”

@seamu5 I have just meet you, yet I deeply respect this opinion.
Guys, I’m an ork blog. This leads me to have a question about what all you other ork lovers like out of your orks.
(This is one hundred present me sharing my realization that my need for more spindle ram shakes orks vehicles would be solved by making them ride around studio Ghibli vehicles)

So I've been looking through your Emeric posts & two things come to mind:
I am very interested in her backstory & would love to see more of her emotionally charged moments.
You commented on her eating of rat poison, "She thinks she's built different so she is", makes me think she has powers similar to Warhammer Orks, which is very fun.
Great News! You will certainly get a lot of emotion from her.
… Or, at least, I hope you will - I’ll certainly be trying my best, but I make no promises. We’re putting that poor little 15 year old in absolute mind prison and she doesn’t deserve it. Considering she’s a Bard of Mind, and Bards generally get slated with being pretty nebulous Bad Guys, I think it’s only fitting that she should be a very tragic girl who is in no way a villain. It’s certainly in line for what I’m going for with Sovereignstuck.
She does basically have Warhammer Ork powers, yes. That was a direct inspiration. Passive Destruction of Logic means you can get pretty cartoonish, and cartoonish is exactly what we’re going for with her.

Master of the Mountain Concept art! By Matt Betteker.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A few notable things!
The city was almost called Chintaro instead of Shintaro.
Cole seems to have construction inspired armor.
There was something in existence call the soul weapons! One that was even some sort of flute! (And early version of the Skull of Hazza D'ur perhaps?)
The Munce were once called Orks. I love how LofTR inspired this season was. Tommy was truly in his element. No wonder it was so good.
