18. Pages turning

The door shuts somewhere behind her, strong steps stamping out damp and cold as their owner shakes herself out no doubt. A quick look out the window confirms it’s still raining, heavy and quiet outside. There’s the sound of muttered cursing and the damp thump of an overcoat being dropped.

“If it rains tomorrow as well, we’re going to Rivain.”

“So, should I start packing then?” There’s an inelegant snort behind her, and she feels strong arms wrap around her shoulders from behind.

“Is that pessimism for the weather, or optimism for the vacation?”Tez’s soft voice lilts by her ear, and Neve knows when she’s being made fun of - can’t find it in her to be annoyed. Rana had dropped off their latest inquiry in the Swan and had told her they’d committed to meeting a few leads tomorrow. They weren’t going anywhere for at least a couple days - longer, if the threads she could already see in the notes spread across the desk panned out - and Tez knew it. “Already see something, hm?”

“Maybe… without talking to them, it may be nothing, but…” She reaches up to squeeze the hands at her collarbone before leaning forward. There’s give for a moment, before the strong arms around her pull her back. There’s an undignified noise hanging in the air, but she’d invite the wisps back home before admitting it came from her. Tilting her head back against a broad chest, she sees the sparkling laugh in Tez’s eyes as she looks down at her, her curly mane of hair heavy with rain falling down to curtain the moment. “I won’t get too far into it,  but I do want to-”

“You just said it yourself. Without talking to them, there’s not much to go on yet.”

“That is not-”

“Neve, your hair is still damp.” Gentle fingers thread through her hair at that, pulling out the pins keeping it neat and the relief that hits her temples as it falls free - her eyes flutter shut and she can feel her shoulders drooping. “You came in from meeting Rana and immediately sat down here didn’t you?”

“I grabbed coffee.”

“From this morning. And the last thing you need is coffee. Come on - no point in riling yourself up until tomorrow.” A beat of quiet, staring up into those warm brown eyes watching her with such fondness. She could push - there is something there - and Tez would let her. But…she sighs softly, eyes slipping closed as she reaches up to press her fingers into her temples.

She’s cold, tired, and getting all the facts before she dives in has never been a bad thing. She can feel the low rumble of a laugh more than she can hear it as it melts down her spine. “You know Trouble, some day, this won’t work.”

“Mm, someday.” Tez agrees as she steps back, taking only Neve’s hand with her, and trusting her to follow.

She’s not quite sure how that ends up with her in a steaming bath, heady from the close heat, even as she can still hear the rain on the roof. Sweet-smelling candles are lit, and she can feel the remaining tension of the day - week, hell the last month - slowly seeping out of her. Tez is perched on a seat beside her - when did she have time to change into sleep clothes? - reading something…

“So it’s just me who doesn’t get to work?” She asks, leaning over to prop her arms on the rim of the tub.

“Bellara sent over her latest work - wanted our eyes on it before she sent it to her publisher.”

“Oh? She figure out what to do with the assassin and the warden then?”She murmurs, resting her cheek on her arm and feeling her eyes slip closed under the gentle ministrations of the heat and the sweet scent of…what was that? She’d have to ask Emmrich next time they saw him…

“She sounded excited, but wouldn’t tell me anything. Said I should read it for myself and tell her.” There’s a soft scratch of papers turning before she feels a hand on the back of her neck - familiar fingers expertly finding the last knot of tension in her, firm and soft at the same time.

Comfortable silence falls then, broken only by the rain, and the occasional rasp of parchment. She didn’t fall asleep, though it was a close thing - Neve knew she’d be too busy to have moments like this in the coming days - she was going to enjoy this while it lasted.

We’ve heard about Orion’s wand, but what about Marvolo’s? Also, now that O and M have wands, have other kids their age been asking too 😂? Has Ollivander been inundated with underage clients?

Marvolo’s wand is made of elm wood, unyielding, with dragon heartstring core.  

Here are the description for the core and wood:

1”. As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner.

The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord." 

2. Elm 

"The unfounded belief that only pure-bloods can produce magic from elm wands was undoubtedly started by some elm wand owner seeking to prove his own blood credentials, for I have known perfect matches of elm wands who are Muggle-borns. Marvolo shares the core with his father, and the wood with his mother.

And yes, now Elara wants a wand, too, as many other kids, however, their parents aren't as easily convinced as Sirius. Some just give them a wand they had in the family to play around and practice with. Very few go to Ollivander/

I was actually quite excited for Drakson ngl... but it still came out kind of rushed so apologies for that😅

I like him in a babygirl way

Though he’s irritable and stubborn, he’s actually a good guy with a soft spot for his fans, and will absolutely jump into the crowd to break up fights

Has chronic resting bitch face which he used to be insecure about, but he embraces his intimidation powers now

Asexual. He doesn’t date much nowadays due to being busy with the band but he does wish to have a partner of sorts in the future

Liezel’s older brother. He was one of the first people she came out to as transgender and he will murder anyone who is transphobic to her

Around the same age as Orion but slightly older by a few months. They’ve known each other since babies and have been writing songs since teenagers when they didn’t fight as much, and even if they did it was mostly bantering (they still banter sometimes but nowadays that might lead to fist-fights)

The cousins have slightly different reasons for why they don’t get along with the other nowadays but Drakson’s reasons are that he doesn’t trust that Orion will stay in the band, and hates how overgrown his ego is with being the lead singer and all

Now this is something some fans wonder about often: Why doesn’t Drakson just let him leave? Well, it was because of a promise they made as teenagers that no matter what, they would make it big in music and stick together for as long as they breathe, and Drakson with his determination and iron-willed stubbornness is still trying to keep that promise

His fashion sense consists of primarily edgy and alt elements, even dabbling in pastel punk/goth. He does most of his clothes shopping at thrift stores because he absolutely HATES every single fast-fashion brand

Likes Sanrio and kawaii-themed things pretty openly, and if anyone judges him for it he tells them they can suck it. Even the most brooding of people need some whimsy in their lives

Has a massive sweet-tooth. He’s eaten cake for breakfast more times than he likes to admit but he does it because no one can stop him (though the problem is that no one can stop him so then he gets a tummyache)

Loves horror movies. He isn’t easily grossed out by anything so he tends to have a bit of a morbid/raunchy sense of humor

Has a lot of body tattoos. I don’t know what any of them are but he has a lot of them. One of them is definitely a dragon

Frequents the arcade once a week or so. His favorite arcade games are Stomp Stomp Institution and anything that involves shooting a gun and he gets Orion in on them. They make a surprisingly good team for the multiplayer ones

Kind of a nerd. He likes card games like Pokémon or Magic the Gathering and plays DND in an online server (the server involves Didar, Simone, Skyler, Brody, and even Rithy)

I don’t know exactly what Rithy’s relation to the other 2 would be but I can see him as another cousin who Drakson treats like a little brother

Dyes his hair himself using the dyes from Twizzy’s cycling through different colors throughout the years like white, green, pink, and right now it’s to his signature purple. Orion tells him that he’s gonna go bald soon from the amount of DIY hair-dying he does

Was one of those kids forced to learn an instrument at a young age because of his strict parents so he chose the piano which he doesn’t hate them for since he ended up enjoying it

Speaking of which, there are some rough spots when it comes to his relationship with his parents. He says he doesn’t hate them but admits if he was never able to move out he would’ve lost his mind

Has a melodica which he might occasionally use for fun at shows but he also uses it to annoy the shit out of Orion

His reputation in the band is the token “bad boy” and there is no surprise why. While he usually doesn’t mind being called that, he doesn’t like it sometimes because it made people think that he’d be all mean and tough and he was even speculated of being a playboy once which is very far from the truth, so in public he tries to be as polite as he can and maybe crack a slight smile if he feels like it (it’s very rare of him to smile so any clips of him smiling go viral online)

In an interview with DJ Honey Buster (Hugo), he said that if he didn’t become a musician he probably would’ve ended up as a nurse like his parents wanted him to

VTM Dark Ages game season 2 episode 1

We opened with a Roman style party lead by a Roman Ventrue named Arcadius who invited the Caitiff Ventrue Leo and Malkavian Keeper Emir with open arms. The entire cast was basically there for the start of season 2 where nothing bad will ever happen to them.

Wrestling tent deposited the Sheriff husband, Hengist. Meet terrifying replacement for Former Lasombra bishop.

I tried to make it short but there was a lot here so

Emir went to see a two headed calf. Saw a bone in a pen that was empty and no one else could see the one Emir finds friend, elder Malkavian Inge lost looking for a white bone button, the sheriff of Bath in hot pursuit. They aren't supposed to be using disciplines in Elesia!! Emir played Fox and Goose game with with Hilda and Victoria. Was asked to find Ksenia for Hilda.

Leo went to well with Godwin. Did artwork for the Dressing Of The Well ceremony, kissed In front of the well, a nod to their first kiss.

Emir went to the shop dock where pirates were docked, and played cards with Abdu, the shady ass Lasombra pirate, and hung out with the miserable traumatized Sevin, the secret Salubri

Emir and Leo met up. As in Emir found Leo went shopping

Emir wants to take Tertius to the wrestling but wants to show Leo the two headed calf so Emir Aethfrid Owain go there, and see Orion who seems to be hiding Inge under his cloak. All while the Ventrue Clandece (a woman Leo fears) is chatting up the elder Tzimisce.

Leo approaches Orion outside of the barn to check on him. Inge is hiding under his cloak. Clandece makes the mistake of touching him so he dominates her with the command "leave" to walk away from the party. The sheriff is looking for the Malkavian but also sees shenanigans going down. "Inge can you make us disappear?" Poof! they cloak of the gathering and the sheriff approaches Leo, where did they go? No idea. Oh well she's on the hunt!

Meanwhile in the barn Tertius steals with a hug and they all decide to go watch wrestling together meeting up momentarily with Hengist who is lost watching the wrestling. Oh no here comes the sheriff of Bath. She approaches Hengist explaining there has been a situation. You don't have to do anything but if you see a long white haired annoying guy and a tall blonde man with a cape then to let her know. And she leaves

Hengist: Leo.

Leo:

Hengist: you wouldn't happen to know anything about this would you?

Leo: no. Why would I *fails manipulation performance rolls*

Hengist: hmm

The fellow sheriff instantly turns on work mode. (Much to Leo's dismay)

Then Emir took Tertius to the well and Felcitias introduced herself. Nope nope Emir is not in work mode he is in party mode.

Lesbian play. Met up with malchora and Rowena. Rowena left to find Inge. Owain and Aethftid offer drinks. Æth cant find his manuscript. Leo helps find book in cart

Then Leo decides to leave his friends and go see the pirate parking zone. He is then approached by a dancing "beast" a classical festival costume from the 1400s piloted by a Satyr who offers a dance. Leo joins in, and eventually picks up Emir Tertius Bonnie and Godwin, followed by a elusive Orion who is on the run from the law.

The Fae offer the Cainites a drink, the bunch having the most fantastic high of their lives. The sytr takes them into the dreaming where they fall down down down and Leo decides he can change into a Harpy like in season 1 and does so. Godwin changes into a dragon(but like a DND dragon born because his rolls weren't good) Orion turns into a silly dragon, Emir into a tiny house cat with wings, Tertius into a female boar furry and bonnie turns blue and tall with a tail. They land in the grass and see their friend Amica(Astra) their fae friend from season 1. She is grown up now, and hugs Emir and Leo. The Satyr plays a song and They say hello and goodbye and wake up in the grass. They gaze at the stars their high slowing down.

Orion: Leo, do you want boobs we can give you boobs

Leo: I think I'm okay Orion...

Orion: we can make them detachable.

Leo: thank you I will keep it in mind. You had beautiful scales.

It is about here on the way back that Orion explains how he escaped Condesa, the sheriff of Bath. He lifted her helm to dominate her into forgetting what he saw. And in that process learned she was Salubri.

We go to wrestling. Watch some naked men grapple.

Tertius and Emir discover Æths manuscript is missing. Emir checks his bible holder bag.for the memory with Auspex, and he sees the smoother wall. Æth urgently pleeds they check for it. So, Emir, Æth Leo and Godwin go to help their friend. Tertius, unfortunately is due for a meeting with Arcadius (his wife Alwyn), Edmund and Bonny.

Æth needs help finding his work in progress manuscript as it's been stolen. He asks Emir and Leo to help him find it. Godwin, ever the gentleman, agrees to help as well.

Leo and Godwin snuck into the amphitheatre before the Ventrue led his Roman style games. We found our Cappadocian friend Luzio and his loyal guard dog Nero in a side room, the dog barking at a corner of the room. No one could see what he was barking at, even with "decent rolls"

But they searched and Leo opened a long human sized box. He opens it and finds a man, staked, his body malformed. He is a Nosferatu.

Nero continued to bark to alert everyone, Luzio began to panic, the Giovanni had returned for him? Or the Giovanni wanted this? This isn't good we can't let the Giovanni have him?

Leo tried to keep a level head. He sighs, knowing his interesting ability (Merit Decerning Palette) would tell him a bit more. He slices the man's wrist and squeezes out a drop of blood, tasting it. The man is old. His generation is indiscernible. He's never tasted this clan before.

Leo feels his heart drop.

began to whisper to Luzio in their mother language, Italian, but his voice grew higher and more urgent, we can't unstake him! We don't know who he is he could be a criminal, he could belong to Arcadius! We need to get the Sheriff's! We can't just unstake a man in a box!

But if the Giovanni want him then it's bad! Worse than we could ever imagine! We can't carry him out!

Luzio I don't know what to do I'm scared.

Leo feels resolved. If the Giovanni want him then they can't have him. Just like how they harmed Luzio and his brother(now deceased) years ago, and took leos own father, then they couldn't have this man what ever his value was. Leo clasped the Stake and pulled it from his heart.

i beat da:i on nightmare mode for the first time today :') it was my first time playing a dragon age game on the highest difficulty available and it was a wild ride but ultimately really satisfying!!!!!

my goal is to 100% inquisition before the veilguard is out and i still have all of the dlc to get through (as well as a couple of the random trial achievements) so orion's journey isn't over yet - BUT im so happy about this bc i really did notttt think i'd ever be able to do it

Top Ten Video games

as this list shows - I'm not young, and I started out with PC gaming, where truly my love for gaming was built. It was hard to pick 10 games - for being a "gamer" I don't actually play a lot of games, and there's only a few games that really stick out as truly noteworthy over time to me. Criteria is muddled - games that are great, games that are fun, games that defined a moment for me. Yes, there's a certain amount of nostalgia too here. I've by internal logic excluded text-based IFs from considerations.

Civilization

I refuse to pick one, but I'll probably go with IV if I had to, just because of the music and I think it's where they introduced cultural victory. Civilization was the first video game I brought with my own money, and yes that's an old pic of all the boxes (I don't have the Civ I box 😭but I still have the disks and manual). I also have Civ VI, but no new pic. Civilization is genre defining, a PC gaming defining game - there is no other game like it.

2. Diablo II

I played so much Diablo II - it was such a fun game full of fun gameplay. It was also the first game I truly played online - meeting new and wonderful friends and got embroiled on online drama! Diablo II was just sheer fun, from the builds to the loot to the secret cow level. The cut scenes were phenomenal, the one above is still one of my favorites of all time - the shattering of the world stone. Tyrael was possible my first video game crush, yeah just the wings and voice, don't @ me

3. Warcraft III

I played so much Warcraft III. The gameplay was fantastic, just a great RTS. It had humor, but also possibly the most heartwrecking storyline I've played - the fact you get to play out Arthas decent into evil was a stroke of gameplay and storytelling genious. Coupled with this era of Blizzard's cinematic department, the hands down best cut scene ever. This remains a top game for me.

4. Mass Effect

What can I say? Mass Effect is fun to play, has a pretty great and well written story - it's one of a kind to be honest. I don't do shooters, but I do do Mass Effect.

5. Pharaoh

I love city building and this was the best one. IS the best one, as this is remastered on steam. I'm currently playing this, and this is from the other night. I love this! pyramids! logistics! production! bright colors!

6. Dragon Age Inquistion

would be weird if I didn't include this one, right? I love the game and I love all the stuff that lives in my brain because of it. Also I do think the combat is fun? I think mechanics and environment wise it's also the best of Dragon Age.

7. Assassin's Creed Odyssey

I had a hard time picking between II (best boy Ezio, Desmond), Origins (pyramids! BAYEK and AYA, the mature story!!) and Odyssey - in the end I think Odyssey won because of the feel of AC - assassin, the vast explorations, the many quests, and ofc yelling in DMs over lost love. Not to forget - clop, clop, clop, the fake minotaur quest.

8. Jedi: Fallen Order

Look, I don't like platformers or difficult combat, but story mode hit the spot, and the story was SO good. Cal Kestis is my son in my heart, the story and his character touched me.

9. World of Warcraft

well, the sheer amount of time and investment I put into this game count for something. At some point it seemed like half the world played it, for good reason. I don't think I can go back, but WoW was the first MMO I truly enjoyed, and I love the art style so much. and I got to turn into a demon for massive damage, and endlessly frustrate my healer. Infinite mana, baby, just heal me

10. Master of Orion II

another old 4x game, this just hit the spot somehow.

other contenders: Geometry War Retro Evolved, Tetris, the MasterMind game my dad coded himself and we had a vicious family competition for the leaderboard, Settlers III, Heros of Might and Magic (but I don't recall which version I loved the most), and Warlords (the original DOS game)

Alistair Theirin from Dragon Age, Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase (anyone from the first and second Percy Jackson series really because they’re all good), Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Leia (sorry Luke you’re cool too), Rick and Evie O’Connell, a few old Disney characters (Belle, Jim Hawkins, Kida and Milo, Cinderella, honestly I just like several Disney characters lol)….and the BG3 tadfools obviously (Gale especially)

To me, comfort characters are characters that I consistently love and consistently want to return to read or play or watch their stories, so I have a ton. More than I’ve listed here but these are all pretty high on the list.

24. if we were together on a rooftop, what would we be doing?

Probably just talking 😂 you’d probably have a drink or two and be like “water is fine” because I’m perpetually dehydrated but we’d yap about BG3, poetry, the movies we love, the books we have read or want to read, I might be like “Hey look it’s my favorite constellation, Orion” and then we’d rabbit trail into myths and legends and fairy tales and so on until it was like 3am and I’d be like “hey friend I’m dying let’s crash on the couches downstairs and I’ll make cinnamon rolls in the morning”

33. the last adventure you’ve been on?

The last big international adventure was when I toured a few cities in England and Wales last summer with a friend. I can’t wait to go back tbh, or go to other countries and just backpack around.

The most recent adventure that took me out of my current state where I live now was a drive down to Orlando, Florida but it was for an academic conference where I was presenting work from my dissertation and so there wasn’t much “adventuring.” It made me desperate to be driving anywhere else lol I’d LOVE to go hiking in the mountains or something

There's something off in his room - a splash of blue against warm browns and earthy shadows. It's the only real spark of color in the otherwise carefully organized and contained space and he has to pause just to...

He recognizes the flower, of course. It had only been a couple days since the blight eruption - since he'd had to help drag Rook back, Assan helping pull Davrin along just as successfully. Mierda, they'd both been as useless as he'd ever seen them - loose and quiet in a way that had made his chest hurt.

A two hour walk had turned into five by the time they'd made it back to the glade, Lucanis trying too hard not to think about how light Rook had gotten in the last few weeks, and how heavily he leaned on his shoulder in a way he'd never let himself before - Spite suspiciously silent the entire way.

(It was too damn quiet - too damn loud in the silence that he almost asked, almost begged Spite to say something. He could feel Spite gearing up, could see the slash of purple out of the corner of his eyes. But Spite…didn’t.)

He was aching by the time Rook found his feet - by the time Davrin was able to carry his sword instead of drag it, the hand on Assan's back fond instead of steadying - but they made it to the cave in one piece.

He remembers admiring the small blooms, shoulders and thighs sore as he crouched among the soft petals, the Wardens talking quietly amongst themselves. He hadn't caught all of the conversation, but he had caught the hope in Antoine's voice. The teasing joy in Evka's. And the almost palpable....something, in Rook's. Whatever it was, it made him sound hoarse, tired voice scraping at the stone in a way Lucanis had never heard before.

But, that had been the end of it. They'd left the lovebirds to their date, and had gone back to the Lighthouse to collapse for all of a couple hours before the next emergency whisked them away.

He hadn’t thought much of it. The flowers at least. Maybe he loaded up Rook and Davrin’s plates a little more for the next couple of dinners. Maybe he snuck Assan a couple more treats - though he gave up on that when he noticed Neve doing the same, and the look of abject concern over who to go to first on the bird’s face made him feel bad. But the flowers? Until he’d walked into his room that night, he hadn’t thought of them.

It’s a couple of blooms, stems tied together gently with a scrap of leather and he does not need Spite pointing out that they smell like woodsmoke and earth. He almost doesn’t want to move them from the shelf where they’re carefully laid, afraid of bruising the small petals.

So he doesn’t. The flowers sit there, untouched, unblemished, for the next day.

You’re afraid.

Yes.

Of what.

Damaging them.

No.

Yes.

No.

…

He scoops up the flowers the second night, quickly rearranging them in a small vase that seems to have appeared - Spite? The Caretaker?

See. They’re fine.

He’s not… dreading seeing Rook again after that. That would be ridiculous. But something in his chest aches in a way that’s old and tender, and he doesn’t want to see… see what? He’s not sure he could articulate it well, and after trying to explain to Spite that he’s not hiding, he does finally have to leave the pantry.

He’s not so unlucky that Rook is there when he does slip from the shadows - but Neve is, making her absolutely horrendous excuse for coffee and well. That just won’t do.

Rook’s there later though, with the rest, while they figure out who both wants to make dinner, and has a salvageable idea (Harding being carefully distracted by Taash’s… actually, he’s not sure what they’re doing, but it’s working in keeping Harding away, so). Lucanis feels like he’s walking on fraying rope everytime Rook looks at him, waiting for… for something. Some expectation, some… 

When he drops the pot on his own foot, the only thing saving his dignity is the fact that the sound makes Bellara drop multiple loud metal utensils. Rook’s there a moment later, crouched to help pick things up and he’s suddenly closer than he’s been in days and Lucanis…

When he looks up though, there’s nothing new there - soft, dark eyes, framed by dark curls and an ugly slash of a burn scar. He looks at Lucanis like he always does - warmly, curiously, unflinching. There’s nothing new there, except the small ghost of a smile that’s more in the crinkle around his eyes than his lips, as he hands the pot back up and turns back to help Bellara.

A breath he didn’t even know he was holding suddenly burns in his lungs and he has to turn away quickly before Neve can notice - Neve who’s watching him with soft, soft understanding.

Rook never mentions the flowers. And Lucanis thanks the Caretaker for keeping them fresh.

the exiled. the time slipper. the mischievous.

name: solana astra age: thousands of years old. height: 5'10 species: half dragon / half human. occupation: nothing, she travels through time hoarding rare rocks/gemtsones, books, and anything that piques her interest.

the story starts with a male dragon and a human woman who fell in love instantly, a healthy relationship with no worries outside of themselves. the male dragon from an old clan among the sea of stars knew his duties but they were pushed aside for the one freedom that he's been afforded, and orion took that chance, diving headfirst into the relationship with heidi in secret. a few years later, heidi gave birth to solana, a beautiful baby girl who resembled her father in beauty but her mother in her eyes. and though, it was a joyous occasion, there was a storm brewing within the clan.

for the first ten years, they clan, but more specifically tolerated the welp orion had bore with his mate. but with old traditions and views, it's obvious they disapproved of the child and often sneaked looks of contempt when either of her parents weren't looking. solana cared not for the elders, she was far more interested in learning about where her papa had grown up, in the forbidden treasure that the elders were always guarding so closely. disregarding their contempt, she continued to grow, although more by her mother's side. it was fine, until it wasn't. her mom became bedridden, staying in constant sickness. unbeknownst to solana, heidi had been getting poisoned and by the time her mother passed, solana had been drawn to her father's side, though he wasn't of much comfort, unconsolable with the loss of his mate.

though, she mainly kept to her studies, it was more apparent that solana wanted to go back to her life before discovering her heritage. when it was just the three of them. but by thirteen, it was apparent that she was on her own, orion was embroiled in clan politics and the elder's approach her while he was away. they tried to reprimand her for the mischievous manner that she acted with the other children, thinking it was so human of her and like her mother's sharp tongue, which she inherited, she kindly told them to piss off and find a grave to step into. which not only earned her an undeserved exile, but a scolding.

fuming, as a child does when being told to do, she acts as a child of her age does. not a full tantrum, but she mocks them as she stomps off when her eye catches the door that's always been off-limits to her and she sneaks inside, uncaring of the silent alarms that began to go off. there, her eyes are drawn to a pretty jewel pendant, it's warm in her palm, it's magic radiating as it comes into contact with her skin. there are shouts outside, the sounds of running and and she realizes there's no way out of the room, but the magic responds for her need to escape and sent her forward in time, not just to another time, but another realm entirely.

alone, with nothing but the wilderness and the inherent skills her mother and father taught her when it was just them, she finds herself on her own, playing with the animals of her new environment and surviving off fish she'd caught in the river.

though the years go by, with her on her own, and her using the pendant to go back and forth in time, solana makes the best of it, learning what she can, learning skills she shouldn't need and satiating the curiosity that hadn't dimmed. exiled or not, she's a survivor unsure what time she ends up and though she can never truly get back to her time, she grew up well, a mysterious being through time who appears and disappears at the drop of the dime.

Headcanons

His birthday is August 21th, he's a Leo and his blood type is A+

He's slightly shorter than Gouenji.

He has white hair and blue eyes, though he would prefer them to be red like his mom's eyes.

He's originally from Osaka, and lived there until he was 5, then he moved to Inazuma with Inui.

He comes from a rich family, and I mean Tony Stark rich.

The reason of him moving was because his uncle wanted to release him and his sisters from the strict and abusive environment created by Ryouma's expectations for his children.

Ryou started playing soccer at the age of 5, thanks to his best friend Zato Tezuka and her sister.

He's talented enough to be recognized as a soccer prodigy by many.

He's also talented at playing piano and chess (thanks to Ryouma) and at playing guitar and singing (thanks to Inui pushing him to try things he's curious about instead of waiting for someone to tell him what to learn or practice)

Due to her sister Nanako's career as a successful designer Ryou has participated in a few runways and also modeling work for magazines, and most recently a few music concerts with some famous idols around his age.

Due to a falling out with Tezuka right before starting junior high, Ryou decided to quit playing soccer. Thanks to that decision he chose Raimon, as it was well known that it didn't have a soccer club. (Too bad he transferred during Endou's generation)

He originally joins the Chess Club and becomes its president by betting the title with the current one.

During his first year he didn't share classroom with any canon character. In his 2nd year he shares class with Aki, Ootani, Endou, Gouenji and Handa.

He officially joins the soccer club right before the match against Shuuyo Meito/Otaku.

He enjoys annoying Natsumi due to her snobby attitude, but he'll be the first to stand in front of her to protect her if things start to get dangerous.

He tends to get too physical. Not in an inappropriate way, but he's too huggy when he starts considering someone close.

He's good friends with almost everybody (except Someoka and Hikari*) and his best friends are Kazemaru, Gouenji and Endou.

His love interests are Haruna and Natsumi. Haruna because she's cute and energetic, and Natsumi because for some reason he finds her cute when she gets all bossy and when she tries to annoy him back when they start bickering.

He's a HUGE fan of the Guilty Gear saga, so his techniques are copies of techniques from his favorite characters Ky Kiske & Sol Badguy.

And by huge I mean that he has trained to the point of perfecting his own equivalents to both Ky's and Sol's Dragon Installs (If Kozoumaru can have his own AliExpress Super Saiyan version, then Ryou can have his own TEMU Dragon Installs)

And It goes even outside soccer, since he styles his hair into a long thin ponytail just like Sol Badguy's and wears his uniform much like Sin Kiske's outfit, with the jacket tied to his waist, a black tank top and blue wristbands.

He's also a big fan of manga and anime, specially Fairy Tail , so he also gets some of his techniques from there.

There is only one and only ONE teacher in all of Raimon that can keep him under check.
