School year:
1st Year (prologue)
2nd Year (Inazuma Eleven)
3rd Year (Ares)
Voice actors: Tetsuya Kakihara (Natsu Dragneel's Seiyƫ)
Headcanons
His birthday is August 21th, he's a Leo and his blood type is A+
He's slightly shorter than Gouenji.
He has white hair and blue eyes, though he would prefer them to be red like his mom's eyes.
He's originally from Osaka, and lived there until he was 5, then he moved to Inazuma with Inui.
He comes from a rich family, and I mean Tony Stark rich.
The reason of him moving was because his uncle wanted to release him and his sisters from the strict and abusive environment created by Ryouma's expectations for his children.
Ryou started playing soccer at the age of 5, thanks to his best friend Zato Tezuka and her sister.
He's talented enough to be recognized as a soccer prodigy by many.
He's also talented at playing piano and chess (thanks to Ryouma) and at playing guitar and singing (thanks to Inui pushing him to try things he's curious about instead of waiting for someone to tell him what to learn or practice)
Due to her sister Nanako's career as a successful designer Ryou has participated in a few runways and also modeling work for magazines, and most recently a few music concerts with some famous idols around his age.
Due to a falling out with Tezuka right before starting junior high, Ryou decided to quit playing soccer. Thanks to that decision he chose Raimon, as it was well known that it didn't have a soccer club. (Too bad he transferred during Endou's generation)
He originally joins the Chess Club and becomes its president by betting the title with the current one.
During his first year he didn't share classroom with any canon character. In his 2nd year he shares class with Aki, Ootani, Endou, Gouenji and Handa.
He officially joins the soccer club right before the match against Shuuyo Meito/Otaku.
He enjoys annoying Natsumi due to her snobby attitude, but he'll be the first to stand in front of her to protect her if things start to get dangerous.
He tends to get too physical. Not in an inappropriate way, but he's too huggy when he starts considering someone close.
He's good friends with almost everybody (except Someoka and Hikari*) and his best friends are Kazemaru, Gouenji and Endou.
His love interests are Haruna and Natsumi. Haruna because she's cute and energetic, and Natsumi because for some reason he finds her cute when she gets all bossy and when she tries to annoy him back when they start bickering.
He's a HUGE fan of the Guilty Gear saga, so his techniques are copies of techniques from his favorite characters Ky Kiske & Sol Badguy.
And by huge I mean that he has trained to the point of perfecting his own equivalents to both Ky's and Sol's Dragon Installs (If Kozoumaru can have his own AliExpress Super Saiyan version, then Ryou can have his own TEMU Dragon Installs)
And It goes even outside soccer, since he styles his hair into a long thin ponytail just like Sol Badguy's and wears his uniform much like Sin Kiske's outfit, with the jacket tied to his waist, a black tank top and blue wristbands.
He's also a big fan of manga and anime, specially Fairy Tail , so he also gets some of his techniques from there.
There is only one and only ONE teacher in all of Raimon that can keep him under check.

Award II
Alexia Putellas x Hardersson!Reader
Aitana BonmatĂ x Hardersson!Reader
Natalia Guijarro (OC) x Hardersson!Reader
Part of The Big Adventures Universe
Summary: You are finally rewarded for being the best
You don't play football for the fame.
You've never played football for fame or money or awards.
You play football because you love it.
It's been apart of your life for as long as you can remember. Your parents still have your first Wolfsburg kit, back when you were a baby and couldn't do anything but cry.
The fame, the money, the trophies all just came along with the sport you love.
The responsibility of carrying your country and your club doesn't weigh on you much, not when you have such passion for the game and your teams.
The first time you felt such responsibility was on your youth team, captaining them to a successful Under-17 Euros. Then, the responsibility was back at Barcelona. You were made the third captain after half a season back from your loan to Lyon.
When you left, the responsibility stayed, being made the sole captain for your country. You've spent a year at Wolfsburg now, the club of your childhood, and the band for your club wraps around your arm in preparation for next season.
Denmark Youth Captain.
Barcelona Third Captain.
Sweden Senior Captain.
Wolfsburg First Captain.
You didn't play football to become a leader but somehow you've become one, moving from yelling orders from your defence to yelling orders at the whole team.
You are an expert keeper. You always have been.
People around you say you've made your mark on the game and you haven't even retired yet. People look at you for what a keeper should be, for how a leader should act.
(People whisper that all keepers coming up the ranks now try to mimic your style, your natural instinct and abilities).
It's only inevitable that you have the trophy cabinet to back up your skill.
Two World Cups sit in your cabinet. Two Golden Gloves as well.
Multiple Keeper of the Year trophies.
An Olympic medal.
A Euros medal.
And then awards for at club level too.
Liga F, Copa de la Reina and Supercopa sit in the apartment you used to share with Natalia with a PremiĂšre Ligue and Coupe de France medal too.
Your Champion's League medals sit with Natalia's on the wall.
Everything you won at Linköping and Arsenal are at home in Sweden whilst your most recent Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal medals are at your apartment in Germany.
You are the greatest goalkeeper playing in the women's leagues at the moment and, while you cannot see it, everyone else knows it.
You've come to the ceremony to eat some of the bar food and maybe see some of your old Lyon teammates.
Talia has come to the ceremony to see you make history.
Alexia and Aitana are the ones presenting the award and just from the way they're smiling, Talia knows the result.
You've been ranked highly ever since your first nomination. That time, you'd ranked eleventh. Every time after that, you've finished in the top ten.
Your name is called and the world stops.
You suck in a breath, frozen in your seat like you're in the Champion's League final with only a one goal lead and the other team advancing on your goal with lethal efficiency.
You don't know what to do. You don't know what to say.
Your wife allows your tuck your head into her neck, not flinching as your tears drip down onto her suit blazer.
"It's okay, baby," Talia says to you," You deserve this so much."
She helps you to your feet, hiding your face as you wipe your tears where cameras can't see.
You force yourself to walk up the stairs to the stage without stumbling. You suck in a breath.
There it is.
The most prestigious award in football.
It was a few years ago now that Talia won hers. She'd had a standout season during her first as Barcelona's captain. She was lethal on goal for club and country.
There was never any doubt it would be here.
That's the way it always is.
Everyone always expects a striker or a midfielder. Sometimes, it's a defender. It's never been a keeper though, at least for the women's.
Second goalkeeper in history.
First female goalkeeper in history.
Aitana is the one nearest to you.
You're taller than her by a lot, towering over her but she still hugs you like you were little, like you were still the little girl she met when hunting down Pernille's shirt.
One of her hands comes up to cup your cheek.
"You've grown up," She says and you force yourself not to cry," You're so big now."
Alexia is next. You last saw her a few weeks ago when you came back to Spain for the weekend and attended one of Talia's games. Alexia made you come down from the stands and asked about Wolfsburg and how your season was going.
She was all business then and you'd been as vague as possible, in case she remembered something that could be used against you during the next rounds of the Champion's League.
But now, there's no hint of professionalism in her eyes as she pulls you into a hug.
"I told you," She whispers," I told you that you'd get this one day. Remember this feeling, okay? There's nothing better in the world. There's no one better in the world."
She pulls away and hands you the award.
You turn to the cameras, to the audience all on their feet clapping you.
You lift up your Ballon D'or for all to see.

Good girl gone bad II Ingrid Engen x Mapi LeĂłn x Reader
masterlist I word count: 1886
a/n: hi, it's based off this request here, enjoy.
warnings: minors dni, 18+, smut at the end, toxic behaviour from OC, jealousy, please don't take this too seriously !
âIngrid, you played fantastic!â, Mapi waved enthusiastically her little flag, before she jumped into the open arm of hers and your Norwegian girlfriend.
âOh, thanks.â, the tall womanâs face lit up at the Spanish defenderâs compliment.
âSeriously, you filled out the defensive role so perfectly, Â I couldnât have done a better job.â, the smaller player couldnât stop gushing about her loverâs great performance.
âJust wait until you can play again.â, Ingrid muttered cheerfully.
âNot that long anymore.â, Mapi answered giddily.
âIâll miss you and your little flag though.â, the younger footballer admitted.
âTo be honest, Iâll miss that too.â, she agreed wistfully.
â I know but thereâs no better feeling than playing.â, Â Ingrid mumbled, her teammates still running around with the CL trophy in her hand, taking pictures in between the celebratory moves.
The defender who has followed her girlfriends gaze added grinning:âPlaying and winning.â
âExactly.â
From the sidelines youâve followed their conversation, you were hurt about the fact that you werenât a part of it as it usually was you three together and not as a pair like in this particular moment.
With every fibre of your being, you felt like the other woman who wasnât in this relationship even though you were up until now. Â The loneliness crept under your skin; jealousy clung to your heart and wouldnât let you go until Alexia started talking to you.
âDonât let your head down, beautiful. After all we won.â, she reminded you, while pulling you into a encouraging hug.
âUm, what?â, you gave the midfielder a quizzing look, her words havenât reached you as youâve been too busy to listen to your girlfriendsâ sweet nothings which didnât include you in them.
âI can tell youâre disappointed.â, Alexia stated earnestly.
âI didnât play much tonight, so itâs not really my win, Ale.â, you told her miserably. You hated that tone in your voice. Where was your confident self?
âWeâre all in this situation at one point. Someone is always on the bench. But we always win as a team.â, the blonde tried to cheer you up.
âRight.â, you said even though you turned away when you saw your girlfriends were kissing ignoring everything around them as if they were in a movie in which they played the leading roles, while the rest of you were the supporting actresses to help the lovers get to their happy ending.
âOh, hey, babe. Weâre going to the party later. Youâre coming too, right?â, Ingrid asked you later in the changing room, finally realizing you were still there after all.
âYes, of course.â, you nodded.
Ingrids gaze went back to Mapi as she smiled: âGreat, Iâll go shower.â
âMe too.â, you said, walking past both of your girlfriends into the showers that were adjacent to the dressing room.
You had hoped that the steaming hot water would clear your mind but the calmness that usually came with a warm shower never set in.
Instead, the pictures of what happened after the game kept repeating in your head. You were never the jealous type, you could not be jealous in a relationship like yours. But you also knew that you deserved better than to be ignored by your girlfriends, so you came up with a plan.
For the party, you decided to slip into a a pair of suit pants and a button-down vest with nothing underneath, drawing attention to your arms and chest with your outfit choice. You curled the ends of your hair and put on some make-up. You looked at yourself in the mirror, satisfied with your looks.
âAre you two ready to go?â, Mapi asked impatiently, looking effortlessly cool as usual.
Ingrid appeared next to her, wearing a tight dress and radiating ethereal beauty: âYes, weâre ready, love.â
Mapi nodded towards the door: âLetâs go then, babe.â
You reluctantly followed them, already disappointed that none of them had commented on your outfit. You were not exactly pouting on your way to the party but you also refused to talk much.
Arriving at the location, your two girlfriends retreated to a table in the corner with their drinks. They were lost in each others eyes. You were sure they noticed nothing of what happened around them.
As you were nursing your drink at the bar, Alexia appeared on your side: âWhat are you thinking about?â
âMe?â You looked at her in surprise.
âYes.â
You first inclination was to tell her that you felt like your girlfriends did not need you in their lives but instead, you swallowed down the thought and forced yourself to smile: âTheyâre playing Rosalia. Want to dance, Ale?â
The captain looked at your for a second before giving in: âOnly because you look so unhappy.â
âDancing always helps with thatâŠâ, you promised.
âCome on then.â Alexia reached out her hand and pulled you towards the dance floor.
You immediately fell into an easy rhythm with her. You deliberately pushed close to her during your dance and she let you.
On the other side of the room, Ingrid tapped Mapis arm frantically: âMapi!â
âYes?â, the defender could barely tear her eyes from her Norwegian girlfriend.
âLook!â
Only then did she look over in your direction, her eyebrows knitting together: âY/n is dancing with Ale?â
âLooks like itâŠâ, Ingrid whispered.
âThatâs not her usual good girl behaviour.â, the Mapi observed through gritted teeth. Sawing you dance with one of her best friends in the way you did, so intimately and sexy was driving the older woman insane.
âNo, itâs not.â, the Norwegian player nodded, she wasnât able to take her eyes from you and your teamâs captain.
âWeâll see and give her a little time to redeem herself otherwise if she keeps behaving naughty like that over the night weâll take actions.â, the older woman thought out loud.
âTake actions`â, Ingrid looked startled at the smaller footballer.
âY/n is needy and bratty in front of everyone, so weâll punish her at home.â, she explained seriously.
âPunish her?â, shock was written all over the younger womanâs pretty face.
âYes.â
Meanwhile, Ona tipped your shoulder making you turn around to her to look into her eyes, which glanced concerned back at you:â Can I take over?â
âSure.â, you agreed enthusiastically to her offer, feeling the alcohol more than you wanted to admit. After a dance with you Alexia had returned to her girlfriend to engage into a passionate conversation which involved mostly kisses.
âYouâre in a party mood. How many drinks did you have?â, the defender asked you, damn her, she really did notice everything.
âUhm maybe two.â, you replied, your cheeks immediately turning red.
âTwo?â, Ona raised an eyebrow at you. Her voice was full of scepticism.
âDonât worry about it, Oni.â, you answered with a charming smile on your lips.
âI donât.â, she quickly reassured you.
âGood.â But you realized your teammateâs her hands were still on your upper arms contradicting what she just said.
âSomethingâs up with you.â, Ona stated firmly.
âLetâs just dance, please.â, you shook your head heavily.
With a sigh the defender said:â Alright.â
âThank you.â, you mumbled relieved, that the questioning was over for now. Sweet, innocent Ona was the last person you wanted to trouble with your worries.
âYouâre welcome.â
The mix of alcohol and changing teammates made you forget that time was passing by. You were confused when you found the home you shared with your girlfriends was already dark without any lights on.
Nonetheless, you let them know that you arrived:â Hi, Iâm home.â A familiar shadow was pressing on to your legs, being clearly happy about your return. Â
âAnd hello Bagheera.â, you added, as you stroke the cat softly who purred loudly to your touches.
âAbout time.â, Mapi announced sounding very displeased, you shrieked as she appeared from the darkness, her moves scarily similar to Bagheera. Elegant but lurking, why you didnât understand. Maybe your behaviour had worked out?
âMapi, Ingrid, here youâre. but why didnât you turn the lights on?â, you questioned them irritated.
âWe were about to go to bed.â, Ingrid responded calmly.
âGreat, me too. Iâll just go to the bathroom quick.â, you sighed.
Mapi raised an eyebrow and said cooly: âYou have two minutes.â
âWhat?â Confused, you opened the bathroom door. Whatever that was supposed to mean, you were now determined to take your time.
âGo.â, Mapi ordered.
You rolled your eyes, disappearing into the bathroom. You only heard Ingrid say: âGood girl.â
You sat down on the toilet and took out your phone, scrolling through pictures of tonight. Only then, you slipped out of your nice suit and left the bathroom in only your underwear.
Ready to go to sleep, you were about to go into your shared bedroom but Mapi blocked your way.
She leaned against the doorframe, her arms crossed in front of her chest: âWhat did you think you were doing all night?â
âPartying?â, you replied, playing dumb and trying to move past your girlfriend.
âDancing with Alexia and Ona? You might as well have given them a lap dance.â, Mapi scolded you.
Ingrid appeared next to her, eyeing you closely before turning to the Spanish defender and mumbling seductively: âOur good girlâs gone bad tonightâŠâ
You shot Ingrid a deadly glance: âYou think youâre funny? You ignored me all night. I was just having fun.â
âWe saw everything.â, Mapi said, her jaw set.
âIâm sure you did, the way you stared at each other all night.â, you rolled your eyes.
âY/n.â, Ingrid said softly, while Mapi shook her head: âDonât distract.â
âI donât!â, you exploded.
Mapi continued: âYou were trying to make us jealous all night.â
Ingrid nodded: âExactly.â
Before you could protest, Mapis hands were on your body and pulled you towards the bed: âNow come here.â
You could feel your back hit the mattress. Your girlfriends climbed onto the bed as well, one on either side of you.
You had no idea what happened but suddenly, Ingrids mouth was on your neck and sucked on the sensitive skin. She slipped a slender hand over your mouth right as you wanted to start to complain. Mapis hands in the meantime rested on your hips.
You were too focused on Ingrids kisses to realize that your Spanish girlfriend had started to pull your panties down with her teeth. Only when she dipped her tongue in, you started to moan into Ingrids hand. She already knew how she had to move her tongue just right.
While Mapi was busy stimulating you, Ingrids mouth wandered across your upper body. Kissing and licking her way towards your breasts. She circled your nipples with her tongue before starting to suck on them. You squirmed under her touch.
Mapi had switched from licking to using her fingers and you could not contain yourself any longer.
Impatiently, you removed Ingrids hand from your mouth. âStop!â, you whined.
You could see Mapis lips turn into a smirk: âSay please.â
âPlease stop.â, you begged impatiently.
And then you finally climaxed, a firework bursting in every part of your body. You moaned.
Mapi rested her head on your stomach as she watched you breath heavily.
Ingrid pressed a kiss to your forehead: âGood girl.â
You knew that this was supposed to be a punishment but right here on the bed, you finally felt seen by your girlfriends again.

all yours, jude bellingham
pairing: jude bellingham x black fem oc (adeba malina). warnings: sexual insinuations. song: all yours by normani an: I donât remember the last time I wrote a one-shot this long. and I came out of football retirement for this, so let me know how you like it! đ«¶đŸ also, can anyone guess what position I played? đ
âI donât have an interest in pursuing a relationship with Jude. Heâs a great guy butâŠâ
Jude Bellingham, the worldâs wonder boy, had become a staple in her life over the last few months following his multi-million dollar transfer to Real Madrid, but not for the reasons that people thought. They met during a dinner celebrating his transfer and hit it off immediately.
âCongratulations,â she said cooly and sat next to the young footballer. When her voice registered in his ears and her face came into view, his eyes grew wide and he looked like a child in a candy store. âIâm Adeba Malina.â
She needed no introduction. He knew exactly who she was. Former Madridista turned business-woman. She was known as one of the greatest center midfielders of her time; her speed, agility, and vision for a pathway to the goalbox were praised by the highest of heavens. Ronaldoâs protege and a Madrid icon. Adeba Malina was a football legend.
âJude.â His hand engulfed hers as he shook it firmly yet delicately. âItâs wonderful to meet you.â
Adeba pushed a strand of hair away from her face and nodded once, taking in the footballer with a quick sweep of her eyes. He wore a crisp black suit with a complimentary black tie against the freshly pressed white shirt. He was handsome, but she didnât let her mind go past that. Rather she said, âI trust youâll do big things with Los Blancos. Iâm excited to see what you do on the pitch.â
He was bashful, she noticed, his brown skin suddenly growing red and a small smile on his lips, âThank you. That means a lot coming from you.â
âNo problem at all. You enjoy your dinner, but a piece of advice, if I may.â Jude sat up intently. Adeba leaned over, her lips close to his ear as she tried to speak over the rowdy individuals around her. âYou have nothing to prove to anyone. Youâre young, gifted, and Black. Theyâll do and say anything to make you look bad and to get in your head. Perfect your craft, do your best, and keep moving. Thereâs nothing to prove.â
Jude met her eyes for the first time that night. The prettiest shade of brown with specks of caramel. They held care and intentionality, just like the words she spoke, and he digested them like his favorite food. It was at that moment that Jude knew sheâd be a good person in his life.
âBut what?â
Adeba cursed to herself as she sorted through her jerseys for one to wear. Zizou. Ramos. Varane. Ronaldo. Beckham. RodrĂguez. Malina. Bellingham. She snatched it off the hangar and onto her bed behind her. It would make do, and it would be cute with her newest navy blue heels and straight-leg jeans. âBut,â she started after some time. âHeâs younger than me and weâre just friends.â
The woman behind her scoffed audibly. âHeâs barely 3 years younger than you, not 12. And you just went through 6 jerseys, knowing you have kits dating back to the 90s, including your own, to wear his, as you do for almost every home match. Donât play with me.â And there it was. The bluntness and honesty of Colombiaâs very own Dawn Nalinja, data analyst turned interior designer.
The two crossed paths at an event in Barcelona four years prior and had been inseparable ever since. So much so that their homes were in the same building, four floors apart. They were quite literally, two peas in a pod.
Adeba sighed and began getting dressed for the match against Dortmund. âLook, I just donât think every friendship needs to transition to a relationship. Jude is good people and you donât have to have to romanticize everything with good people.â
Dawn blinked, one, two, three times before sighing. âWhile that may be true, itâs best to romanticize aspects of your life with a good person, especially before they get swiped by someone else. You wonât know until you give it a try and that goes for anyone, not just Jude. But, weâll leave that there. Are you ready?â
Adeba slid her feet into her shoes, fluffed her braids, and swiped her purse off the bed. She ignored the feeling within her chest and smiled softly as she tried not to think too hard on what Dawn had mentioned. âReady!â
-
And as predicted, Los Blancos took the victory. Adeba always adored the energy of the stadium during victories, no matter who won. There was joy in seeing fans jump for joy, holler the chants of their favorite players, and take pictures with the players whoâd walked by.
By the end of the match, Dawn had scurried off with her significant other, leaving Adeba to wait in the tunnel for Jude as she typically would.
She tapped her fingers against the wall as she waited for his exit, and when he came into view, the smile she didnât realize she had on her face widened. âHey, champ.â
Jude welcomed the greeting and returned it with a hug and a kiss against her cheek. Adeba felt warm as his arm circled around her waist and his fingers brushed against the loops of her jeans. Dangerous territories. âThank you, Dee. Whatâre you doing after?â
Adeba shrugged as she stepped back to put distance between them, but it still hadnât forced his hand to drop from her waist. If anything, it made his grip tighter. She ignored the pulsing between her thighs and said, âI planned to go home.â Her bed was always a wonderful place to be.
Jude nodded once. âWant to come to dinner with me? Not in the mood to party, but I could eat.â
Her head turned to the side and her braids swayed with it. âJust us?â The corner of Judeâs lips rose in amusement at her question. He couldnât recall a time when them being alone mattered so much before, but with the way her breath quickened, he knew it was deeper than what she let on.
Adeba grew nervous underneath his gaze. His brown eyes were focused on her. How had she not realized how pretty they were? A rich shade of mahogany, a portal to a place unknown.
She exhaled shakily. He answered her question: âJust us.â

âStay with me tonight.â
If Adeba lived in an animated world, she would have heard her feet squeal like brakes when she stopped suddenly. She turned slowly to see Jude standing with one hand in his pocket while the other held her blue heels, a straight look on his face. âAs inâŠ?â Adeba pushed for further explanation. Sure, theyâd hung out before at each otherâs places and in other public spaces, but his words hinted at something more.
âMovies, snacks, and Iâll whoop your ass in Uno. Just something chill. I justâŠdidnât want the night to end this early.â
Adeba sighed heavily. She wanted to deny him. To tell him that wasnât a line that needed to be crossed. That she was nothing more than a friend, a mentor in a way, to push him to be his best self in his professional and personal life, but how could she? With the way he looked down on her and not in a condemning way. But with a look of adoration. His eyebrows were relaxed and his eyes were soft. His body language spoke of comfortability in her presence with how his shoulders were low and slightly rounded above her body. Like a guard.
She wanted to tell him sheâd go home, that she didnât want to blur any lines. She wanted to admit that she had no feelings for him at all, but then sheâd be lying, and one thing Adeba Malina hated was a liar.
Adeba pondered on it longer. Her teeth captured her bottom lip as her mind worked to weigh the pros and the cons. They were friends, just friends. Friends who were potentially spending the night togetherâŠalone. With any other guy friend, the idea would have repulsed her. But when it came to Jude, something within her sparked with curiosity at the idea of staying the night with him.
Maybe Dawn was right. If everything aligned, would it be worth a try?
Adeba finally met his eyes again and nodded. âOkay.â
-
âYou started playing at 17 for Real. Is that how you met Cristiano?â Jude asked inquisitively and passed the bag of candy to Adeba, who sat on her knees in front of him. She nodded and popped a few Nerds in her mouth.
âCorrect. The menâs team came to visit the womenâs practice and of course, weâre football fanatics just like you, so having these legends visit us and give us advice was amazing. Cris always gave me good advice, especially being that we both came from nothing. So, I try to pour into you what he and many others pour into me.â
Jude couldnât help but smile. From what sheâd shared, she was Ghana-born and raised in Spain once her parents moved at the age of five. She couldnât take much with her when traveling to Europe, but what she did take was a soccer ball her father had gotten her, which she kept in a glass case in her jersey closet. Growing up she didnât have much, but she had her ball, and that was enough for her.
What she didnât know was that the ball would grant her and her siblings an education, her parents a home, and her family stability that would continue even when she left the Earth. Football saved her in more ways than one. She understood what it was like to fall in love with it and she also understood the challenges that came with it. And that was what she enjoyed sharing with others. The journey of loving the game.
âI appreciate that,â he replied. There was a silence between them, a comfortable one. âI still canât believe you kicked my ass four times.â His tone was teasing, she knew, but she could hear a hint of seriousness. She shrugged and smiled.
âA torn ACL took me out the game, but you can never take the game out of me, baby. I do this.â It was his turn to get flustered. Baby. It was a casual pet name and he knew she meant nothing by it but he wanted to hear it over and over.
âYeah, yeah,â he replied with a wave of his hand. âIâll get you back eventually.â
Adebaâs eyebrow raised, âIs this a challenge, Mr. Bellingham?â His eyes met hers. There was a glint of mischief behind her which displayed her fun and teasing nature. But, behind the mischief, her eyes grew darker and the smirk on her lips grew wider, especially as he began to visibly crumble under her gaze.
âMaybe,â was all he could get out.âGuess youâll have to find out.â
And there it was. The ambiguous statement that left the two of them wondering what the other meant. But she knew. He knew. It was his comment that seemed to shorten the invisible string between them that seemed to wrap around the world. Suddenly, it was just inches long andt the only thing that kept their bodies from pressing against one anotherâs in a heated exchange of passion.
âIs that so?â Adebaâs tongue circled around her cheek, a subtle action that left Judeâs stomach clenching. He nodded.
The space between them continued to dwindle. They were once separated by the middle cushion of the couch, but now, they could feel the warmth from each otherâs breath fanning against their faces. Jude, making the first move, brought his hand to her bare face, fingers caressing her skin. She was so beautiful. Rich complexion with beauty marks and faded acne scars that added to her uniqueness. Her lips were so full. His thumb drummed against them. âPretty girlâŠâ
Her eyes fluttered closed. âPleaseâŠâ
Before she could say anything else, his mouth was on hers. Adeba felt her inhibitions slip away as their lips moved together. Sheâd be lying if she said she hadnât thought of kissing him and what itâd be like. She expected something sweet. Nah, this was a grown kiss. Passionate and intense, borderline sloppy and nasty. Exactly how she liked it.
Adeba couldnât remember how she ended up on her back with her bare legs around his waist as he kissed and sucked along the skin of her neck, but she chose not to think of it too much. She refused to be the reason why the moment was ruined.
Jude enjoyed every moment. From feeling her legs tense around his waist and shuddering as her manicured nails snuck under his shirt to trail along his abdomen to hearing her whisper his name so delicately. Jude. She drove him insane.
But, as much as he wanted to keep going, he knew she deserved more than a heated makeout on his couch at two in the morning with no clear expression of his feelings. So, he broke away from her, which was met with a very cute yet very confused expression on her face. âWhatâs wrong?â
Jude smiled and shook his head. He used his thumb to wipe the corners of her mouth which were damp from their heated exchange. âNothing, I justâŠI like you a lot. In a more than friends way and I think you should know that before anything else happens. Itâs only right.â Adebaâs eyes sparkled at his comment. âAndâŠIâd like to take you out. On a real date. Just us. Then maybe, if youâre up to it, we can see how far this goes.â
Adeba smiled. âIâd like that.â
Damn it, Dawn.

âBaby, weâve got somewhere to beeee.â Adebaâs words were dragged out as she grew distracted by his lips against her neck and his front pressed against her back. âJudeâŠâ
He hummed softly, massaging her hips as she struggled to finish the finishing touches on her makeup. They had a date to celebrate their six month anniversary but it seemed as though Jude wasnât in a hurry to make it to their reservation on time. âYou look pretty, love. Pretty and all mine.â
All yours, she replied. Judeâs eyes swept across her body. Adeba looked stunning. She wore a red dress that flowed every step she took. Her hair was curly, her makeup was bright and beautiful, and of course, her full lips were just begging to be kissed.
âThank you,â she said, dropping her makeup products down. She turned in his arms and smiled. Her hands were against his chest and she soothed his suit jacket with her palms. âYou look very handsome as always. Letâs go.â
Adeba took a step back to go find her heels and purse, but was stopped by his lips on hers. Jude swallowed every moan she released and allowed it to fuel the fire that burned within him. She circled her arm around his neck as their kiss intensified. Sheâd never get enough of this.
âI love you,â he mumbled against her lips.
Adeba smiled. âI love you too.â

getting what she wants
lena oberdorf x oc x USWNT!reader
part one of five
summary: lena knows she gets what she wants
warnings: cheating, angst, 18+ (smut? not too detailed and mostly suggestive)
oc description here
you and your girlfriend had always been complicatedânever simple, never easy.Â
it started back in 2021 when you and sloan played at psg. the chemistry on the field between you two was undeniable, but off the field, it was a different story.Â
the beginning wasnât so bad, though. she caught feelings for you shortly after she went through a breakup, but you didnât think much of it. you were happy that someone was interested in you, someone as gorgeous as sloan.Â
if you were to tell anyone about it now, you'd say it wasnât the worst relationship, but it definitely wasnât the best either.
sloan was magnetic, and in those early days, you were drawn to her like everyone else was drawn to her. the older woman was a fierce defender in paris, while you were a threatening midfielder that scared the defenders on the opposite team.Â
the woman would pull you in, wrap you up in her intensity, and youâd get lost in the way sheâd look at you, the way sheâd run up to you if you took a hit on the pitchâ it was like you were her whole world. and for a while, it felt like you were.
savannah was always there, in the background, but you didnât mind. you played with both of them on the united states national team, and savannah never seemed like a threat.
she was just part of the past with sloanâsomething you didn't think twice about. you had bigger things to worry about, like football, your career. you werenât the type to get jealous over old exs that your girlfriend had.
things shifted in 2022 when you left for bayern munich, after you spent three seasons with PSG.Â
the move was huge for you. it was a chance to grow, to focus on your game in another league, and push yourself to new heights.Â
sloan went back to the states, joining portland thorns. her contract didnât expire with PSG but she didnât want to stay if you werenât there.
the long distance was rough, but you both promised to make it work. you'd have late-night calls, texting between training sessions, and sending each other pictures of your day, trying to stay connected despite the time zone difference.
but then, overtime, you started noticing things.Â
small, subtle shifts. the first time sloan told you that her and savannah texting again. at first, you were alarmed until sloan told you that savannah, who played for louisville, was going to go up against the thorns in the NWSL that week.Â
you told yourself it was nothing. theyâd known each other forever; of course, they'd stay in touch. your mind brushed it off, telling yourself that your trust in sloan was stronger than whatever history she had with savannah.
but it didnât take long for sophia, your friend on the national team who played at the same club as sloan, to notice.Â
during one of your national team camps, the ones against china in florida, she pulled you aside, a concerned look on her face.
âhave you talked to sloan recently?â she asked, her tone light but her eyes searching.
âyeah, of course,â you replied, a little confused by her question.
âwhy?â
sloan was still recovering from an ACL injury, so her club and national team agreed to have the 26 year old play for only portland games for now. she wasnât called up for the national team so you couldnât see her this time in the states.
sophia sighs in hesitation,
âi donât want to stir anything up, but sloan was showing me some tiktok on her phone unaware that um...well,, i saw some messages. between her and savannah. they seemed kinda... i donât know, close?â
you felt your stomach drop, but you forced a laugh.Â
âitâs nothing. theyâre just friends.â you convinced yourself.Â
âjust be careful, okay?â sophia didnât look convinced.Â
you nodded, but that seed of doubt had already been planted.Â
later that night, you couldnât stop thinking about it. the way sloanâs messages had become more distant, the way sheâd brush off your questions with a quick âiâm just busy babeâ or âpractice has been rough.â you tried to push it down, telling yourself it was all in your head.
until one day, you couldnât anymore.
a few weeks later, you were scrolling through your phone after a long training session in germany when you saw it. videos.Â
they were everywhereâsloan and savannah, out at some club in portland, laughing, dancing, and way too close for comfort. the headlines were brutal, and your stomach twisted into knots as you scrolled through the comments, people speculating about what was going on between them.
you couldnât breathe.
immediately, you dialed sloanâs number, your fingers shaking as you waited for her to pick up.
you had to run into your living room, since lea and georgia were staying over your house and were sleeping in the guest room beside your bedroom. there was no way that you would wake them up, even in this condition.
âhey, babe,â she answered casually, as if nothing had happened.
âwhat the FUCK, sloan?â your voice cracked, the anger and hurt pouring out all at once.Â
there was a pause on the other end, just long enough to make you feel even worse.
âitâs not what it looks like,â she finally said, her voice too calm, too rehearsed.
âit sure as hell doesnât look good,â you shot back.Â
âyouâre out partying with savannah? after you told me there was nothing going on?â
sloan sighed.Â
âi told you, itâs nothing. we just went out for drinks with our teams. itâs not a big deal.â
ânot a big deal?â you couldnât believe what you were hearing.Â
âsloan, everyoneâs talking about it. youâre all over the news. do you even realize how this makes me look? do you know how this makes YOU look?â
you hated how much you still cared about her and her image. of course everyone on the internet was dragging sloanâs name through the filth for your defense.Â
âyouâre overreacting. savannahâs just a friend who happens to be my ex too. you need to stop letting other people get into your head.â sloan said, annoyed.Â
but you couldnât calm down. how could you? not when the entire world had just seen your girlfriend getting close with her ex like it was nothing.Â
your heart ached, torn between the love you still had for sloan and the anger bubbling inside you.
âi canât believe you,â you whispered, tears stinging your eyes.Â
âi trusted you!â
âand i havenât done anything to break that trust,â sloan shot back, her voice harder now.Â
âlook, if you donât trust me, thatâs on you. i canât control how people perceive things.â
you hung up the phone without another word, your chest heavy, the pain sinking deeper with every passing second.
as you collapsed onto the ground, you felt a pair of arms catch you. the vanilla scent of the personâs chest told you that it was lea schuller hugging you as you cried.Â
weeks afterwardsâ you threw yourself into training, trying to ignore the hurt, the betrayal. but it lingered, gnawing at you, distracting you during every practice, every match. no matter how hard you tried to focus, your mind kept wandering back to sloan, to those videos, to the lies.
you couldnât go to the states to confront her, and that only made it worse. you were stuck, miles away, helpless.
many months later, it's July 1st 2024. despite everythingâthe distance, the arguments, the emotional drainâyou and sloan were still together.Â
maybe it was the comfort of it all, the familiarity. youâd been with her for so long that the thought of letting go felt impossible. breaking up seemed like more effort than just sticking it out.Â
even if things werenât great, they werenât unbearable. or at least, thatâs what you kept telling yourself.
sloan wasnât seen with her ex again. in fact, she never mentioned savannah again, and you didnât ask. but the tension hung between you like a fog, thick and ever-present. every time you checked social media, every time her name came up in conversation, your stomach would knot up, the unease always lingering. but nothing ever changed.
after each conversation with sloan, you felt empty. like a weight had been lifted, but at the same time, it left a hollow space inside you. the next few days passed in a blur.Â
you threw yourself into training, desperate to block out the pain, but even football wasnât the escape it usually was.
thatâs when lena oberdorf started showing up in your life. sheâd recently moved to bayern from wolfsburg, and though youâd played against her plenty of times, you never really knew her well. she was fierce on the pitch, strong and confident.Â
in fact, you had a perception of her since you fell victim to her side tackles on many, many occasions. but you started to notice lenaâs behavior around you after training, she was differentâsofter, a little shy even.
it started with small things. lena would linger after practice, making conversation, asking how you were doing.Â
at first, you chalked it up to her being friendly, trying to settle into her new team and make friends outside of the ones she knew from the national team.
a week later, before the national break that will lead into the olympicsâ training was going well. your focus was locked in on the drills as the team worked through possession exercises.Â
everything felt sharp, crisp. your legs were taking you towards the goal until georgia came in hard, a tackle from the side catching your leg at an awkward angle. you hit the ground hard, a sharp pain shooting through your ankle.
ây/n!â you heard georgiaâs voice above the ringing in your ears as she stands up from the ground.Â
âshit shit shit!!! iâm so sorry. i didnât mean toââ
before she could finish, lena was already by your side, practically sprinting over from the other side of the field.Â
she dropped to her knees next to you, her hands immediately on your shoulders.
âare you okay? where does it hurt?â lenaâs voice was frantic, her eyes wide with concern as she looked you over, clearly scanning for any sign of serious injury.
âiâm fine, lena,â you muttered, trying to sit up.Â
âjust... give me a sec.â the pain wasnât as bad as you first thought. it was more of a shock than anything.
lena wasnât having it.Â
âyou donât look fine,â she insisted, gently pushing you back down as you tried to get up.
âyou should stay down for a bit. what if itâs worse than you think?â
georgia hovered nearby, an apologetic look on her face. âi didnât mean to go in that hard. really, iâm sorry, y/n.â
âwhat the hell, georgia? you didnât have to go in on her like thatâitâs training, not a match!â lena shot her a glare, her protective streak kicking in immediately.
âi know, i know,â georgia said, holding up her hands in surrender.Â
âi was just going for the ball, i didnât mean to hurt her.â
you could see the tension building between the two of them,Â
lena getting more worked up than necessary. it wasnât the first time lena had gotten overprotective over you, but this was definitely one of the more intense moments. you placed a hand on her arm, trying to calm her down.
âlena, seriously, iâm fine. itâs not a big deal.â
but she wasnât having it. âno, it is a big deal. she shouldâve been more careful.â
georgia rolled her eyes but kept her distance, clearly not wanting to escalate things. the rest of the team had started to gather around, watching the scene unfold with a mixture of concern and amusement.
âsheâs tough, lena,â georgia said with a small smile, trying to diffuse the situation.Â
âsheâs not made of glass.â you wanted to giggle after georgia said that, but you didnât want to piss off a protective lena.Â
âmaybe, but that doesnât mean you can just throw her to the ground,â lena snapped back, still kneeling beside you, her hands hovering protectively around you like she was scared you might fall apart any second.
"you're one to talk about putting people on the ground!" georgia says before laughing at lena's smirk, a smirk she tried to hide knowing that georgia is right.
the team, noticing the bickering, started exchanging looks.Â
a few stifled laughs could be heard, and you knew exactly what was coming.
âuh, lena?â tuva called out from behind you, a teasing grin on her face. ây/n is okay.â
tuva pulls lena, gently, away from you as you stand up. your ankle is sore but not painful. you were okay.
âyou do realize y/nâs taken, right?â lea whispered to lena, but you still heard it.
you groaned inwardly, knowing exactly where this was headed.
âyeah, lena, i donât think her girlfriend would be too happy about all this... care youâre giving y/n,â giulia added, her voice dripping with amusement.
lena flushed, her cheeks turning a shade of red you hadnât seen before. she quickly stood up, brushing off her shorts, though she still hovered close to you, as if she wasnât quite ready to leave your side.
âiâm just making sure sheâs okay,â lena muttered, avoiding everyoneâs eyes.
you couldnât help but laugh a little despite the situation. âlena, seriously, iâm fine. you donât need to go full paramedic on me. besides guys, you donât have to mention her while we are hereâ
âoh!â sydney says, laughing.Â
the teasing continued, the team now fully enjoying the spectacle.Â
âsheâs going full-on protective mode, isnât she?â pernille chuckled, giving lena a nudge.Â
âyouâve got it bad, oberdorf.â madga joins.Â
âitâs just concern,â lena muttered, clearly embarrassed now, trying to avoid the teasing looks being thrown her way.
you finally managed to walk, rolling your ankle a bit to check for any real damage. again, it was sore, but nothing too serious. you were fineâlike youâd been saying all along.Â
âsee? i told you. iâm okay.â
âwell, thatâs a relief,â lena mumbled, though the look of worry in her eyes hadnât completely disappeared. she stood a little closer than necessary, and the team noticed.
they noticed how you let her stay close to you too.
âyeah, ârelief,ââ georgia echoed, shaking her head in amusement.Â
âseriously though, y/nâs fine. no need to be so protective, lenaâ- iâm sorry y/n.â
the teasing continued as the team dispersed, but lena stayed near you, still looking a little flustered.Â
âi just didnât want her to be hurt,â she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.
you gave her a soft smile, appreciating her concern, even if it was a little overboard.Â
âi know. but itâs okay. iâm tougher than i look.â
lena saw leaâs smile turn into a quick frown at that, she makes a mental note to question her best friend about that later.Â
after that morning in training, you began to notice the way lena looked at you. there was something more in her eyes, something you hadnât picked up on before.
the next day, after a tough session, you were sitting on the sidelines, catching your breath, when lena plopped down beside you.
âyou okay?â she asked, her voice gentle, her eyes scanning your face.
you nodded, forcing a smile. âyeah, just tired.â
but lena wasnât convinced. âiâve noticed youâve been... off lately. is it sloan?â
lena asked lea why you seemed off. lea told her the backstory about your relationship with the portland thornâs defender. she did her own research afterwards, realizing how bad it really was.
the mention of sloanâs name made your stomach twist. you didnât want to talk about her, not now, not ever.Â
âitâs complicated.â
lena hesitated for a moment, then quietly said,Â
âyou donât deserve what she is putting you through, y/n. you deserve someone whoâs going to put you first.â
you glanced at her, surprised by the intensity in her words. there was something in the way she said it, the quiet conviction, that made you pause.
âitâs not that simple,â you mumbled, looking down at the ground.
âweâve been together for so long, andâ i donât know.â
âmaybe thatâs the problem,â lena said, her voice soft but firm.Â
âmaybe youâve been holding on to something thatâs already gone.â
you didnât respond. you couldnât, because deep down, you knew she was right. sloan wasnât fighting for you anymore, and maybe she never had.
lena stayed by your side for the rest of the day, offering silent support.Â
and as the days went on, her presence became something you looked forward toâher quiet smiles, her easy laughter, the way sheâd stick around just to make sure you were okay.
it wasnât long before you started noticing the little things she did for you. bringing you coffee before training, giving you rides home, offering to help with your recovery sessions after each training.Â
it was subtle, but there was a certain care in everything she did, something you hadnât felt from sloan in a long time.
one afternoon, the last training before the national break for the olympics, lena comes up to you after the showers.Â
âhey, you want to grab dinner?â she asked casually, but there was something in her tone that made your heart race a little faster.
âuh, yeah, sure,â you replied, caught off guard.
you ended up at a quiet restaurant, tucked away from the usual chaos.Â
over dinner, lena was different. more open, more confident. she asked about your life, your interests outside of football, and for the first time in a while, you found yourself genuinely enjoying someoneâs company.
halfway through the meal, she leaned back in her chair, her eyes locking onto yours.Â
ây/n, can i be honest with you?â
your heart skipped a beat. âof course.â
âI've been attracted to you for a long time,â she admitted, her cheeks flushing slightly.Â
âsince before you moved to bayern. but i didnât want to say anything because... well, i knew you were with sloan.â
you blinked, taken aback by her confession. âyou... have?â
she nodded, her gaze unwavering. âyeah. but iâve been watching how things have been going with you two, and... i just want you to know that you deserve someone whoâs going to treat you better. someone who has respect for you.â
you stared at her, not sure how to respond. it wasnât that you hadnât noticed lenaâs growing presence in your life, but hearing her say it out loud, admitting her feelings so openly, was something you hadnât expected.
âlena, i...â you started, but the words got stuck in your throat. you didnât know what to say. part of you was still reeling from sloan, from the hurt and confusion that came with it.Â
but another part of youâa part you hadnât allowed yourself to acknowledgeâfelt something for lena too. something more.
she mustâve sensed your hesitation because she quickly added, âiâm not trying to pressure you or anything. i just wanted you to know how i feel. whatever happens, iâm here for you liebe. no matter what.â
her words hung in the air, heavy with meaning, and for the first time in weeks, you felt a glimmer of hope. maybe lena was right. maybe you did deserve more.
as the night went on, you found yourself relaxing in her presence, the tension from your relationship with sloan slowly easing away.Â
it was different with lenaâeasier, lighter. and when she walked you back to your apartment later that night, there was a moment where she hesitated, standing on the doorstep, her eyes flicking to your lips.
you couldâve kissed her. part of you wanted to.Â
âthanks for tonight,â you whispered, your voice soft.
lena smiled, her expression gentle. âanytime, y/n. iâm always here for you.â
something in the air had shifted after she said that, leaving only the quiet between you two.Â
lena was standing just a little too close, her gaze a little too intense, and you could feel the weight of everything unsaid hanging in the space between you.
her eyes flickered down to your lips again, and for a moment, she seemed to freeze. your heart pounded in your chest as the silence stretched on, each second amplifying the tension between you both.Â
you couldnât tear your gaze away from her, drawn in by the way she was looking at you, the unspoken desire clear in her eyes.
the way she cares for you, the way youâve been burying your attraction for her. It was too much. you wanted her.
your mind was racingâeverything with sloan, the mess of your relationship, how complicated it all was.Â
but in that moment, none of it mattered. not with lena looking at you like that.
you made the first move, your body acting on instinct before your brain could catch up.Â
leaning in slowly, tentatively, you closed the gap between you, your lips barely brushing hers at first.Â
you paused, just for a second, giving her the chance to pull away if she wanted to. but she didnât.
the second lena kissed you back, everything else melted away. her lips met yours with a sudden intensity, all the built-up tension finally spilling over.Â
her hands were on you in an instant, one sliding to the back of your neck, the other finding your waist, pulling you closer as the kiss deepened.
it wasnât gentleânot by any means. there was an urgency in the way she kissed you, and the way you kissed her. sheâd been holding back for far too long, and now that the floodgates were open, there was no going back.Â
you responded in kind, your hands gripping the front of her hoodie, pulling her even closer as you kissed her harder, your body pressing against hers.
lenaâs hand slipped under the hem of your shirt, her fingers warm against your skin as they traced the curve of your waist, making you shiver.Â
the feeling of her touch sent a jolt of electricity through you, your heart racing even faster. your lips moved against hers in sync, the kiss growing more heated by the second, both of you caught up in the intensity of the moment.
you broke apart for a brief second, both of you gasping for air, but the space between you barely lasted a heartbeat before lenaâs lips were on yours again, even more desperate than before. her body pressed into yours, pushing you gently against the door, and you welcomed the pressure, your hands finding their way into her hair, tugging just enough to earn a quiet groan from her.
âlena,â you breathed against her lips, not even sure what you were trying to say, if anything at all. her name came out like a plea, like you were drowning in her and needed more, but didnât know how to ask for it.
ây/n,â she murmured back, her voice low and husky, her breath hot against your skin as she kissed along your jaw, trailing down to your neck.Â
the sensation sent a shiver down your spine, your knees going weak as you clung to her, desperate to stay grounded in the overwhelming rush of feelings.
her hand gripped your waist tighter, holding you against her as her lips moved across your skin, finding every sensitive spot that made you gasp, your fingers tightening in her hair as you struggled to keep up with the intensity of it all.
you werenât thinking about sloan anymore, or the complications that would come from this. all that mattered was the way lena was making you feelâthe way her lips felt on yours, the way her touch set your skin on fire.
and when lena pulled back just enough to look at you, her eyes dark and filled with something raw, something intense, you knew there was no going back.Â
you reached your left hand behind your body, keeping your right on lenaâs waist, as you unlocked the door.Â
pulling the taller woman inside, you didnât think twice before taking her into your bedroom.
the sex was amazing. its been nearly 18 months since you last tine youâve did anything, thanks to your long distance relationship.
the girl back in portland didnât come across your mind once. just the moment between you, the girl who's sleeping in your arms, and the fact that youâll have a flight back to the states for national duty in the morning.Â

Unexpected
summary: the older itoshi brother was caught off guard after seeing his younger brother with a girlfriend
word count: 2.2k
content: f!reader x itoshi rin, slight fluff towards the end, focuses more on sae and rin's relationship, sae being a sore loser with his feelings
author's note: my first fic after like 6-7 years. it was fun writing this but i feel like it's still lacking a lot after reading it so I'm sorry if it's not good. i always try my best to keep everyone accurate to their characters so hopefully, this is not too oc.
Itâs been a week since the u-20 match. Itoshi Sae didnât really expect to still be here in Japan walking around and about. The prodigy midfielder was dead set on going back to Spain the day after the match against Blue Lock but a call from his parents and some convincing on their part persuaded him to stay back a bit longer. He is scheduled to meet them today around noon to pick up a few packs of salted kelp his parents got him to bring on his trip back to Spain.
Heâs not one to ever possess this sort of feeling but as he approached the front porch of his childhood home, he canât help but be hit with some sort of nostalgia. Itâs been years since he last stepped foot into this house. Feeling a little weird with how nostalgic he is suddenly getting, Sae stood right in front of the house entrance for a good minute or two, zoning out before he finally felt ready enough to ring the doorbell.Â
Distant footsteps could be heard inside the house before the door swung open and his mother was standing in front of him ecstatic to see her son after so long.Â
âSae!â she exclaimed happily and followed with an open hug for her oldest son. âIâm home.â Sae finally exhaled after realizing heâs been holding his breath the whole time. He shifts awkwardly in the hug before his mom releases the hug a second later. It's not like he had anything to be awkward about. He always called and texted his parents when he was away from home, and they would always send stuff over to him monthly. He himself is confused about the way he was acting and feeling. The red-headed boy cannot understand it.Â
Before long, another pair of footsteps was heard. He turns around to be met with his father approaching, waving at him. âAh Sae, youâre home. Itâs good to finally see you again. Itââs been a while Sae.âÂ
âIt has been,â Sae replied. âCome in Sae. The salted kelps are set on the table in the kitchen for you. Have you eaten? I just made lunch. Have some before you leave.â His mom insisted as she guides her son into the house before closing the door. It felt like Itoshi Sae was more like a guest at this house now.Â
âI'll prepare the food and table. In the meantime, you can look around the house again if you like. Quite a few things have changed since you moved out.âÂ
As she headed towards the kitchen, leaving her son behind in the living room to take in his old home again, Sae found himself standing stiffly in one spot once more as he looked around the house. It indeed did change a bit. Everything looks like it has been rearranged. He can still see the family portraits he grew up seeing with a few new additions. After a while when his unexplained feelings finally started to settle down, he then soon realizes once he lay eyes on some new framed photos that his younger brother had yet to make his appearance. You can definitely hear when things are happening around the house so itâs unlikely that Itoshi Rin couldâve missed all the commotion that just happened.Â
The look on his face was so obvious that his mother took notice after one glance at him. âRin's not home right now. Heâs currently out.âÂ
âWhere did he go to?â Sae asked. âHe said he was going out for a bit but didnât specify where before he swiftly left the house.â She replied before continuing, âWe saw the game. Sorry, we couldnât make it last week. We decided to watch it on tv instead. It was an amazing game Sae.âÂ
âmhmm.â he hummed absent-mindedly while walking towards the stairs leading up to the bedrooms.
âBut you know Sae⊠heâs been acting different after the game.â That made the older Itoshi do a double take as that statement piqued his interest. He turn towards her and she continues, âEver since he got back from Blue Lock for his short 2 weeks break, heâs-â She stopped to think on how to explain it. âI don't know how to explain it, Sae. Itâs like heâs more distant now because he always seems to be zoning out like thereâs something on his mind.âÂ
Sae took in what his mother had just told him. He honestly didnât see any deal with it all. âHe's always like that even when we were little. I don't see any difference. Nothing has changed with him.â Sae stated. His opinion of his little brother is very complex to understand. It's almost like he doesnât really have an opinion towards the young striker anymore. Not after their last departure at least. Or so he thought. What the midfielder failed to realize is that deep down, there are still lingering feelings of endearment heâs not aware of himself towards Rin. Even right after the match when they finally talked again for the first time since their fight, heâs still unaware of that feeling.Â
His dad who has been listening in on this whole conversation, stared at his older sonâs face. Lingering on his facial expressions before letting out a sigh and finally speaking, âMy son, I think youâre more unaware of the situation between you two than we thought.â That caused Saeâs face scrunched up in confusion.Â
âWhat do you mean?âÂ
Now itâs his mother's turn to give a small sigh. âOh, Sae⊠Itâs okay. Just forget it. I think this is something that you two have to work out amongst yourselves. Nothing your father and I say will help fix anything. Sorry to interrupt your little plan of going upstairs but lunch is ready now. Come eat and you can head up afterward.â At that, Sae gawked at his parents debating whether or not to press them on about it. He was more confused than ever.Â
Throughout the meal, he too started spacing out in his thoughts about what his parents had just told him. His thoughts kept swaying back and forth trying to decipher their words. âOur situation?â He thought to himself. âIâm unaware of what exactly?â He debated again if he should bring it up once more but after some more thinking and realizing his mom said to work it out between his brother and him, he decided to just brush it off as no big deal and figure it out on his walk back to his hotel. If it continues to bother him later, heâll ask his parents to elaborate on their statements.Â
After the meal and his little tour of the house again, Sae said his goodbyes and thanked his parents for the package before setting off to his hotel. He suddenly finds himself taking in the neighborhood around him and that uneasy feeling of nostalgia he felt earlier strikes again. The conversations with his parents at noon start to replay in his head. He feels even more uneasy remembering it. This causes him to do what he never expected himself to do ever again after declaring to never step foot into Japan after he left. The Itoshi Sae is now witnessing himself walking around the area of his old hometown. He walked to the schools he and his brother used to attend, to the playground he and his brother used to play at, and to the shops he and his brother used to go to. It was almost as if he was fulfilling his guilty urges that he became aware were the causes of his uneasy feelings earlier. Now here he is, walking towards the soccer field he and his brother used to play together at. He's mentally kicking himself for suddenly being so sentimental about all of this. For him to waste his time so he could fulfill his âurgesâ that were bothering him so he could shake off that uneasiness. He hates it all.Â
As he got closer to the field carrying the grumpiest face ever, he notices two figures on the field. The figures were still pretty far from his vision but he didnât care for who it was. Too grumpy over his emotions to care, he told himself he is just going to look at the field real quick and immediately leave. So he just kept walking closer and closer until he couldnât anymore because he canât help but stop in his tracks. The two figures heâs seeing are now suddenly something he cared for because one of them is literally his younger brother, Itoshi Rin. The black hair boy is sitting next to someone. The prodigy couldnât believe it as he rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasnât hallucinating. His younger brother is sitting next to a girl? Careful to not get caught, Sae is now moving cautiously and quietly as he could to the nearest hiding spot he find himself in, peeking out the tiniest bit to see his brother. âIs that a friend?â He thought.Â
âI think you can do it Rin.â She spoke. âI will.â The striker replied. The girl gave a heartfelt smile at him and then giggled.Â
âWhat's so funny?âÂ
âHehe, nothing. Just happy to get to see you again. Thatâs all.âÂ
Rin gave a little huff at that before standing up and dropping the soccer ball he was holding. âHey, teach me how to play a little!â The girl exclaimed excitedly.Â
âYouâll suck.â Rin quickly commented.Â
âThat's why youâre teaching me!âÂ
She took the ball from the tall boy and lightly kicked it around while having the biggest smile on her face. Rin watches her as she attempts to kick the ball into the goal and completely misses. âI told you, you suck.âÂ
âCause youâre not teaching me!âÂ
Rin looks at her before cracking the faintest smile as he got the ball and walked back to her. He ruffles her hair and she tries to fight him back for doing so before bursting out a laugh.
Sae is watching all of this in his hiding spot, baffled. This was not something he had ever seen coming from Rin even in their childhoods. Was this what his mother meant by him acting differently? When was this? Who is she? His mind is filled with questions as he looks at the two people in front of him. He had never seen his younger brother giving such a soft, endearing look like that towards anyone. Well, back then Rin used to look at his older brother like that too but this feels a lot more different. Sae was too deep in his thoughts now to realize that his younger brother has now spotted him. The redhead quickly snapped out of it as soon as he saw the identical pair of teal eyes staring straight at him. Both of them wearing the same expressions on their faces as they're both staring at each other.
Rin was shocked. His mouth was agape at what he was seeing with his own eyes. âNii-â He let out before stopping midway and changing his expression back to that cold, aloof expression he always wore. Seeing this, the girl turned around towards the direction her boyfriend was looking at, wondering what had caught his attention. She then saw the red hair and those same teal eyes that her boyfriend also possesses. It was now her turn to be shocked. Standing in front of her own two eyes was the Itoshi Sae, famous midfielder prodigy, and the older brother of her boyfriend.Â
âWhat are you doing here?â Rin was the first to speak.Â
ââŠMom and Dad called to pick up some packages for me to take back to Spain.â Sae quietly stated, wanting to dig a hole for being caught.Â
âThe house is that way. Did you forget?â Rin said coldly and pointed in the direction of the house.Â
âTch.â The older brother smacked.Â
âHuh?!?â Rin snapped back, annoyed. He's not the one going around stalking people.Â
Sensing the tension, the girl chimed in hoping to ease the atmosphere, âUhm! hello, I'm y/n. Itâs nice to meet you.âÂ
Sae turned his attention towards her and stared at the girl who brought out a side to his younger brother he has never seen. His gaze lingered as he wondered how. Seeing his older brother now intently staring at his girlfriend, Rin got irked once more. âWhat are you looking at? Itâs rude to stare.âÂ
âApologies⊠Nice to meet you. Iâm Sae.â He gave a small nod and she returned it with a small bow.Â
âWell, Iâm off.â He said as he turns around and walk off. âHuh?!? Seriously? You came here stalking me and then just leave? You didnât even answer my question!â Rin yelled out to his brother. Sae ignores his remarks and continues walking away. âHey!!â Rin shouted once more.Â
âRin-â The girl whispered while reaching out to him to calm him down.
âI will beat you and Isagi.â This declaration from Rin made Sae pause in his tracks. He turns around to his little brother, staring at him before giving a scoff and walking off again. Rin glared at his brotherâs back. Seeing his brother again filled him with a new sense of determination. âI will beat you.â He thought to himself. As Sae walks further and further away from the field, he looks back one last time at the two figures. The girl was now holding Rin's hand and placing her head between his chest. The striker soon follows, placing his hands on the back of her head. Sae took one final glance before turning his head and never looking back as he walked away. âA girlfriend huh?â He thought to himself.Â

Astrid had gotten into bed approximately two hours ago after finishing their team dinner, deciding to call it and all head up to bed. When she entered the room she was exhausted from the game and celebrating their win, but dragged herself into the bathroom for her night routine before finally flopping into bed.
But as soon as her head hit the pillow her eyes were wide open. She was so tired physically, but her mind was up and busy. No matter how hard she tried, after the first thirty minutes she gave in and decided to let it run. Thoughts began racing through her about tonight's game, seeing her family again, how she felt when Kyra hugged her after her goal and eventually she ended up back at New Years Eve.
Astrid might have been quite drunk that night, but there wasnât a single second she couldnât recall, especially their kiss. That kiss played in the back of her mind every time she looked at Kyra, no matter how hard she tried to push it back. Often lying awake at night after club training because of how many times they had caught one another staring before looking away as if they hadnât been.Â
She still wondered if Kyra remembered the kiss or not, never daring to ask her in the case of embarrassing herself because Kyra had no clue or didnât want to remember it. Her feelings towards Kyra were so confusing for her brain; she was her best friend, just like Charli or Courtney. But she couldnât deny the way her fingers tingle when Kyra laces them with her own, or the blush that begins to spread across her cheeks when Kyra compliments her.Â
The thoughts continued to spiral as she laid there in the darkness. She couldnât go on like this. So with a frustrated groan, she sat up and grabbed her phone, turning on the bedside lamp and opening Kyraâs messages.Â
Starry â
are you awake?

Starry â

Astrid kept writing something but deleting it, unsure of what to actually say now that she had gotten Kyraâs attention.Â
Kyra sat in her room a couple doors down, a similar positioning to Astrid but nervously watching as the dreaded three dots kept appearing then disappearing. So without hesitation she threw the covers off, slid on her shoes and quietly slipped from her room, making her way down the hall.Â
Tap tap tap
Astridâs head whipped up at the noise, not expecting someone to be at her door at 1:34am, dropping her phone with another half finished text and scurrying to the door. Two seconds of looking through the peephole and her door was swinging open and she had her grip on Kyraâs arm instantly.Â
âThe hell are you doing?â Astrid sighed as she dragged Kyra in, checking the empty hallway before shutting her door quietly.Â
âCanât sleep either?â Kyra asks as she sits down on the edge of the bed, Astrid now standing in front of her, walking softly back and forth.
âNo. Thinking too much.â Astrid mumbles the end, avoiding eye contact with Kyra as she paces.Â
âAbout what?â Kyraâs been thinking about that night just as much, wondering what it means or could mean. Astrid slows her pacing, stopping silently in front of Kyra, looking to the floor as she thinks of how to word it.
âDo you remember?â Asks timidly, looking up at the midfielder, trying to read her expression.
âRemember what?â Kyra tries to hide her smirk as she teases Astrid.Â
âDonât fuck with me okay.â Astrid is clearly stressed out of this, the biting of her nails increasing over the past two months, especially right now. Kyra is quiet for a moment.
âEvery day.â Itâs quick and quiet, Astrid barely hears the two words, eyes widening as she processes it. Kyra looks up with a small smile.
âEvery day?â Astrid looks at Kyra with hope in her eyes, heart racing with anticipation. Â
âIâve thought about it every second since.â Kyra now mumbles, standing up to meet Astrid, stepping close to her.Â
âGood.â Astrid smirked as she held Kyraâs hands in hers, both meeting each other's eyes.Â
Time almost stopped as they stood there, almost slow motion as their heads moved closer together. Kyra finally took the reins and closed the gap, moving her hands to Astridâs waist and pulling her closer. Astrid melted into the kiss, hands travelling up to hold Kyraâs face and keep the kiss going.Â
It lasted longer than their first, but it was more meaningful as they stood in Astridâs hotel room, holding onto each other as if they were afraid to let go. They broke apart when they needed air, pushing their foreheads together as they took time to breathe. It wasnât long before Astridâs brain began running again.Â
âKyraâŠâ She paused, lifting her head to look at her. âWhat does this mean?â Worried about losing their friendship as if that could ever happen.
âI donât know. Whatever we want?â Kyra suggests, causing them both to giggle.Â
âGo back to your room idiot.â Astrid gently pushed Kyraâs shoulder with a smile. âI might actually be able to sleep now.â She laughed and Kyra raised a brow.Â
âWas it that boring huh?â Kyra snickered, folding her arms over her chest.Â
âI mean⊠it wasnât the worst kiss Iâve had.â Astrid smirked, stepping closer. âI guess you might just have to try again, see if itâs any better.â She cocked her head to the side, expecting Kyra to come closer again.Â
âSorry,â Kyra stepped back to the door, fake yawning with a stretch. âToo tired.â She blew Astrid a kiss as she shut the door quietly, leaving Astrid shaking her head with smile and a blush on her cheeks. Safe to say she had no trouble falling asleep when her head hit the pillow this time.Â
Over the next few days at camp, Astrid and Kyra seemed back to how they were before the new years kiss, practically attached at the hip and annoying their other teammates. But even with all their playing around, their minds were focused on preparing for the Spain game that was now tomorrow. Â
The bus pulled up to the CommBank Stadium for their final day of training and it was like Astrid had an instant mood change, switching into focus mode as she remembered the last time up against the Spanish side.Â
Astrid was determined to not let what happened last time happen again, especially now they had their full team and she personally had more experience in the Matildas squad.Â
All the other girls noticed her mood change that always appeared at their final training session before a match, minimising her laughter and childlike actions and replacing them with quiet, focused actions and determination. Even separating herself from Kyra, Charli or Courtney to pair up with a new partner, today that being Clare Hunt.Â
Astrid was still quiet when working with Clare for those few minutes, focusing more on her footwork being precise rather than the topics of conversation floating around them. Clare tried a few times to loosen her up, but nothing could get through to her. Her mind was set on improving any more than she could and preventing what happened last year in Spain.Â
It was in the practice matches that her determination and focus was evident to everyone watching, her feet were fast, her passes clean as ever and even slotted 5 goals past Macca from various positions.
âNice work today, Chicken.â Steph had run up behind Astrid who was the last to leave the pitch, pulling an arm around her shoulder and walking in step with her. âClearly ready to smash Spain huh?â Steph chuckled, rubbing her hand over Astridâs arm.
âThanks. Donât want a repeat of last year.â Astrid mumbled the end and Steph could sense she was still in her head.Â
âWell I think thatâs out of the question considering how we looked today, as a team.â Steph emphasised the word team, knowing Astrid sometimes needed a reminder that not everything was up to her.Â
âYeah. Thanks Stephy.â Astrid pulled an arm around the older girl's waist as they continued walking back to the changeroom, letting go once she spotted Kyra, sitting next to her while untying her boots.Â
âSit with me on the bus?â Kyra asked as she bumped Astridâs shoulder, causing her to look up from her boots.Â
âOf course.â Astrid smiled back, Kyra nodded and continued to pack everything up, waiting for Astrid to finish up and walk out together. They were the last on the bus meaning the seats up the front but they didnât mind. Normally they would be singing out and dancing in their seats, bothering everyone else. But today they sat in silence, sitting next to each other with separate playlists and enjoying one another's company.Â
After a few minutes Astrid kept her gaze away, slowly moving her hand, inching it closer to the gap between them and where Kyraâs hand rested, the brunette distractedly looking out the window. Her attention was called back when she felt that familiar tingle as Astridâs fingers began to slowly intertwine with her own.Â
She felt blush rise to her freckled cheeks as their fingers meddled, discreetly readjusting to comfortably lock their hands together, all while keeping her gaze out the window and upon the landscape outside.Â
After returning to the hotel, the girls took to their individual rooms and showered before preparing for their pre match ritual pasta night, changing into comfy clothes before heading down to the dining room.Â
Astrid was finishing up her dinner when her phone rang. She didnât recognise the number appearing on the screen, preparing to ignore it but a part of her knew to answer it. She quickly excused herself from the dining room, stepping into an empty hallway, Steph watching her closely as she left.Â
âHello?â She spoke as she answered it.Â
âIs this Astrid Taylor?â The womanâs voice sounded serious in tone.Â
âYes it is. Who is this?â Astrid leant partially on the wall, awaiting her answer. Â
âMy name is Kate Smith from the New South Wales police force.â Kate spoke and Astrid immediately froze, standing up straighter from the wall. âI am calling to inform you that your parents, Mark and Joanna Taylor were involved in an accident.â Astrid's heart dropped to her stomach.Â
âWhat?â Her voice was small and shaky.Â
âA drunk driver collided with their car whilst driving tonight.â Kate paused. âThey both sustained serious injuries in the collision and the paramedics were unable to save them by the time they reached the scene. I am very sorry for your loss-âÂ
The voice grew quiet as the phone fell from Astridâs hand, Kate still talking but all noises faded into the background as Astrid froze. In a matter of seconds her life stopped.Â
She was in shock, unable to move as a tear fell silently down her face. She stood in the empty hallway as the voice filtered through her phone but Astrid couldnât hear a single thing. Eventually Kate hung up after not hearing any response from Astrid and she was left in the silence.
Steph began to grow worried at her younger teammates' disappearance, getting up from the table and walking out to where Astrid had gone minutes ago. Her brows furrowed as she couldnât hear her speaking to someone on a phone. Her head went around the corner first, spotting Astrid very still, staring blankly down the hallway, tears falling down her face and phone flat on the floor. She immediately rushed over and as the older girl came closer, Astrid fell back into consciousness.Â
âHey, hey. What happened?!â Steph held Astridâs face in her hands, searching her eyes with a worried look on her own face. Astrid took a shuddered breath in as she stared at Steph, more tears falling rapidly now.Â
âM-my parents-â She whispered once she found her voice, pausing to let more air into her lungs. Â
âWhat?â Steph softly urged for her to continue, worry and panic beginning to set in.
âThere was an accident.â Her lip quivered as she spoke. âTheyâre gone.â Astrid finally spat it out, a loud sob escaping her chest as her knees buckled and she fell to the floor, Steph going down with her. Steph didnât know what to say, only being able to bring Astrid closely into her chest as she finally broke down. Her chest heaved as she sobbed into Stephâs chest, gripping her shirt tightly.Â
âShhhh, shhhhh. I got you, I got you.â Steph smooths Astridâs hair, holding her tightly as her own heart broke, silent tears falling down her face as she attempts to sooth the young girl. She just let her cry and cry and cry, staying silent as she held Astrid.Â
She felt so much in the span of such little time. She was sad, heartbroken, angry and lost. Astrid didnât know what to do, her parents were gone. She was with them celebrating at her home stadium just three days ago and now they were gone. She couldnât even think, her mind was blank as she sat there in Stephâs arms.
Her breathing went back to normal and sobs subsided, easing her grip on Steph but staying pressed to her chest and listening to her heartbeat to calm her.Â
âIâm so sorry.â Steph whispered, pressing a kiss to Astridâs head who screwed her eyes shut and fresh tears fell down her face. âCome with me puddinâ.â Steph spoke after another moment of silence, wanting to get them both to a quiet place away from the team next door. Astrid nodded once and let go of the older girlâs hoodie, slowly getting up from the floor with Stephâs help, still holding onto her close.Â
âKyra.â Astrid mumbled softly while sniffling, Steph leaning closer to hear her.
âHey, chicken?â Steph asked softly, brushing the stray hairs from Astridâs face.Â
âKyra, please.â She whispered again as she wiped her tears.Â
âIâll text her to come up okay?â Steph picked up Astridâs forgotten phone from the ground and placed it in her pocket with her own, guiding Astrid towards the lifts and pressing the button for their team floor. Steph quickly shot Kyra a text, telling her to get up to Astridâs room now.Â
Steph walked them inside the room and sat against the headboard of Astridâs bed, guiding the lost girl to lay her head across her lap. Astrid held onto Stephâs legs, the older girl ran her fingers softly through her loose hair as they waited for Kyra.Â
A soft knock sounded, Steph slowly moving Astrid off her lap so she could open the door. Astrid laid frozen on the bed, falling back into shock as it began to process in her mind.
âHey, whatâs wrong?â Kyra panicked when she saw Stephâs tearful eyes, panting slightly from running to the room. The older girl didnât speak before stepping out of the room, taking herself and Kyra into the hallway.
âHer parents were in an accident. Drunk driver.â The words left Stephâs lips and Kyraâs heart sunk.
âAre they okay? Did they get hurt?â Kyra hurriedly asked but as soon as she took in Stephâs expression she knew. âNo.â Her voice was barely above whisper at the realisation.Â
âShe needs you.â Steph looked her in the eyes, Kyra nodding in understanding. She walked through the door and her heart broke even more seeing Astrid curled up on the bed facing away from her. Kyra silently slipped off her shoes before walking over to the bed, slowly laying down beside Astrid.Â
Astrid felt the bed dip and a body behind her, arms wrapping around her and she could tell who it was, letting her body naturally fall back into the other.Â
âI got you.â Kyra whispered, bringing her hand up to Astrid hair and running her fingers through it. Those three words brought all the feelings back to Astrid and she allowed herself to break down again, Kyra holding her tightly as she cried in her arms.Â
Steph stood in the doorway watching the pair, noting how easily they slipped into the comfort of one another and how quickly Astrid could be calmed by the sounds of Kyraâs soft voice. In all honesty, Steph had never seen the pair so quiet when with one another; despite the current situation.Â
They eventually rolled over and Astrid laid her head against Kyraâs chest, falling asleep to the sound of her heartbeat. Steph had left the room when Astrid was finally asleep, going to find Tony and let him know. Safe to say the man was heartbroken for his youngest player, but ready to support her however he could.Â
Astrid woke up a bit later, still laying against Kyraâs chest as the soft strokes to her hair brought her back to reality. The room was silent bar their soft breaths. For the first few seconds she didnât remember what had happened but it all quickly came rushing back.
âI should tell the girls.â Her words were soft and slightly startled Kyra who thought Astrid was still asleep.Â
âYou donât have to do anything.â Kyra continued to brush her fingers through her hair, looking down at her best friend who was now staring blankly at the wall next to them.
âI want to. Theyâre as much my family asâŠâ She trailed off, her eyes glossing over once again, finally looking up at Kyra. Kyra moved her hands to hold Astridâs face, thumb swiping gently over the tears that began to fall.Â
âIâm so sorry Star.â Kyra bit her lip as she met Astridâs teary eyes, trying not to break in front of her. âWhat can I do for you?â Astrid shook her head.Â
âI donât even know what to do.â Astrid turned to look out the window, taking a breath in, closing her eyes and letting the breath go. Without another word Astrid got up off her bed, Kyra moving seconds behind her.Â
No one expected to see Astrid after hearing news that something personal had happened, but neither Tony or Steph explained what, all thinking she would go home and have time with her family. So when they saw her walk into the common room with a blank expression on her red, tear stained face, itâs safe to say they were all shocked.
Astrid stood in the middle of the room, a large hoodie placed over her body despite the warm weather outside, holding the sleeves over her hands that played nervously with one another. Kyra stood behind her but slightly further back, giving her some space.Â
âMy parents⊠weâre in an accident.â She spoke softly into the quiet room, a few small gasps were heard, some girls were ready to ask questions but Astrid spoke again. âThey couldnât save them.â She let out a shaky breath and another tear fell as her heart shattered again by saying the words.Â
They didnât know whether to hug her or whether she needed time and space. But when they saw her eyes searching their faces, they knew. It was Cortnee who stood up first, walking over slowly in case that wasnât what she wanted. But locking eyes with Cortnee and seeing more tears rising to her eyes again, they knew what she needed.Â
One by one, the girls stood and found her in the middle of the room, piling in on top of one another and holding onto her, giving her all the love a family could provide in this time, because thatâs what they were; family.Â
to be continued...

sunshine becomes you (pt.1)
Despite his young age, Martin's the captain for the Arsenal for a reason. He's calm and collected most of the time and opponents rarely could ever entice any provoking display of emotion from him. But there's one person in London Colney that rubs him in all the wrong way...
Grumpy!Martin Ădegaard x Sunshine!OC
word count: 3.7k
tw: mentions of cheating (but not the MCs)
note: due to the popular demand (thank you whoever started this and @wingsofanillyrian for telling me to drop this down), here goes a Martin Ădegaard two-shot because he deserves this and we all deserve this. but as usual, i happen to write this at dawn A CENTURY AGO so this is ofc not proof-read. oh, and feedbacks are always welcome! hope you like them as much as i like writing them!
sunshine becomes you masterlist here
âGood morning, Granit! Good morning, Martin!â
While the Albanian-descendant reciprocated her greeting, the Norwegian only recognised her presence by throwing a nonchalant sideway look at her, followed by a deep sigh, before continuing his way to the interior part of London Colney.
No words exchanged, as usual.
âDonât mind the lad, Eve,â Granit mustâve sensed herâdaily, by nowâdisappointment. It had been more than a year since she first started this fantastic job at Arsenal, yet the creative midfielder hadnât even spared her a full glance all this while, bar the first time he signed the contract. âIt always takes a while for him to start his engine in the morning.â
âItâs justâŠâ Eve sighed, unable to hold the pout from showing up on her lips. She only had good intentions; she loves the club and the players who played for the badge, greeting them was simply her way of expressing gratitude towards them. âI wonder what Iâd done wrongâŠâ
Granit threw her a sympathetic look as he signed some papers for his packages. âOh, honey⊠donât we all wonder the same?â
ïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒ
As soon as Martin stepped into London Colney building that one, particular morning, he immediately sensed something was off before he could put a finger on it.
At first, he thought he was only imagining things but later, as he saw Louisa running back and forth to every side of the building as if sheâd catch fire on her arse if she didnât, he realised something had gone terribly off the mark.
Tracking back, only then he noticed everything had gone wrong from the first moment his feet landed on his clubâs training centre. No citrus scent poking its way to his nose and certainly no bright-as-fuck âgood morningâ greeted him right after. No heels clicking throughout the hallway at this hour and was instead replaced by Louisaâs trainers screeching against the wooden floor as the junior receptionist ran, trying very hard to fill in her counterpartâs unusually immaculate pace on getting the delivery job done.
Not that he minded Eveâs absenceâhe actually longed for the day it cameâbut it had been a year or so and she never failed to greet everyone with her chirpy voice and a blazing smile the first thing everyone walked into the facility. It was only natural everyone thought that was naturally her friendly personality.
Well, except him, of course.
Martin simply thought she was impossible. How could someone be all sunshine blazing at full watt, not only every morning but throughout the day as well? One couldnât be that happy at every moment in her life.
His take was it was either she wanted everyone in Colney to like her or it was her façade to hide her true personality. Either way, he didnât like any kind of fake person and heâd appreciate it if one day he could prove his theory true.
âAh, fuck me,â Suddenly a Scottish accent boomed throughout the gym, signaling the clubâs resident DJ, Kieran Tierney, had graced the facility his presence. âLou messed up my stuffs, mate.â
âYeah, she did mine, too,â Martin always wondered how Kieran and Rob could compliment each other so well when one was always angry all the time and the other was super happy-go-lucky kind of guy. âNo offense to Lou, but I swear I need Eve back asap.â
Kieran sighed at the reality as he played the opening song for the day.
Ainât no sunshine when sheâs gone.
ïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒ
A week passed by and London Colney was still missing its beloved front desk. Louisa was visibly struggling more and more each day to complete a job that was supposed to be shared between two people, and the residents of the training centre were getting more and more anxious that Eve wasnât coming back.
Initial rumours had it that Eve asked for an emergency leave last week, right before the home game against Leicester City, via text. It caused quite a stir amongst the front office staffs forâapparentlyâits anomaly:
1) Eve rarely texts people about work,
2) Eve finally used her leave for the first time since joining the club,
3) George, the Head of HR, approved of her block leave at this time of the year without further questioning.
Not that Martin was paying attention to the gossips, God no. But he could swear the women could definitely bite his ears off during lunch if they kept it this way. Martin silently prayed for Eve to comeback, genuinely this time around, for his earsâ sanity and more importantly, to avoid falling follicles of everyoneâs heads due to Louâs incompetence.
However, after full ten days, Martin knew straight away Eve was back as soon as Colneyâs majestic doors went wide open at his approaching steps.
Albeit faint, the signature citrus scent from the air humidifier she turned on lingered in the air and Martin, to be very completely honest, had never felt more familiar with the grandiose training facility than at that moment. It was as if half of Colneyâs soul was slowly brought back to life.
He was expecting the woman to throw him her overwhelmingly annoying good morning, Martin! that made his ears rung as he entered Colney but to his surprise, no sounds ever made it to his hearing organs. Martin prided his hearing ability just fine, so this should be recalled for its credibility this time.
Who wouldâve thought the day Martin had been dreaming of come earlier than expected?
He was caught off guard, to say the least, that he had to spare the woman a glance to make sure this was reality. But there she was, behind her desk, back straight up ever so professional, eyes down as she scribbled on somethingâeverything was as usual, except for the whole different exterior she was donning.
Eyes cold and lifeless, pale lips on a perfectly straight line.
Martin should be glad his hypothesis was becoming align with reality but instead, he felt more annoyed at the sightâso much more annoyed than when she blasted the ball fire of sun towards his direction.
If Eve tried so hard to change her demeanour, she should take a look at the mirror; going full-on cold city girl didnât suit her at all. Nothing makes Martin more irritated than someone trying so hard to be intimidating so others can take them seriously.
ïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒ
âYouâre resigning?â
Louisa tried so hard to maintain the decibel of her voice but it came out as a whispered screech instead.
But that wasnât the reason why Martin stopped in his track, it was the sentence that escaped Louisaâs mouth. No one else other than those two front desk staffs, Louisa and Eve, was around, which meant Louisa was addressing the issue of Eve resigning.
Of all surprise Martin had been getting today, this was the most shocking one. Eve and the word âresignâ truthfully didnât match well in one sentence. Everyoneâincluding Martin to some extent, thanks to the talking walls of the buildingâknew how much Eve enjoyed her job, being a lifelong fan of Arsenal herself.
âI am,â Eve sounded firm and final from where Martin stood behind the wall. âI just submitted my resignation letter to George this morning.â
âDid you get an offering from somewhere else?â Lou asked, but Martin somehow knew the answer to that question before Eve even answered her partner. âI knew theyâre not paying you well for the fantastic job youâve been doing.â
âItâs not that, Lou,â Eve let out a very tired sigh. It was starting to feel like she wasnât even trying to put up with the reserved persona today, she was as she sounded like; simply exhausted and resigned. âI donât know why you havenât heard anything yet when itâs literally what everyoneâs been talking about. Bob cheated on me with my friend, Lou. He brought her along to the physioâs internal party last week, when I was mourning for my mother. Mourning, mind you!â
Yeah, Eve might put a foot on Martinâs nerves with no avail every morning since he signed for Arsenal but at that momentâGod, fucking hellâMartin couldnât decide which one irked him more:
a) there was a fellow human being that acted less humane than a pitted dog, or
b) it took another air-wasting scumbag to prove his own theory of Eve being capable to show emotion other than elation on her face.
âI canât possibly face everyone here without being pitied by. I donât want to let them pity me,â While her sentence induced a resolution, her strained voice gave away everything that was silently crumbling inside of her. âIâm not a charity case, for Godâs sake.â
Nothing could fill in the seething anger and exasperation in the air.
âI canât change your mind, can I?â Louisa asked, but the silence that followed pretty much answered everything.
ïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒ
âHi, Eve. Iâm coming to get something from home.â
Eve could confidently say she has the ability to match a voice to a name without looking at the speaker, but this time she had to look up. None of the Colney residents sounded like this man, complete with an acquired Cockney pronunciation but a slightly mixed accent she couldnât put her finger on.
Oh, how much she regretted sourcing where the voice came from.
âHello? Earth to Eve?â
She had to remind herself to take a huge, deep breath and close her gaping mouth. âMartin.â
âYes, Eve. Now can youââ It seemed Martin pursed his lips to stop himself from saying something. âCan I get the packs my mom sent me here?â
Eve almost fell off her seat at the significant difference in the tone Martin used before and after putting his lips on a straight line. Now, it was pretty clear he was agitated at first before biting his own tongue and calmed himself down, switching to a gentler toneâof which was the worldâs newest seven wonders, Eve presumed.
âIââ It was honestly too much for Eve to take on at once that she had to remind herself to collect herself. âYes, of course. They came this morning, let me get them for you.â
âThatâd be nice, thanks.â
Okay, this is officially weird, Eve thought as she walked into the mailing room behind the partiture. First, instead of tailgating someone else to fetch his packages or letters, Martin graced his presence to the front office, alone. Second, he speak nicely to her. Thirdly, he was able to say âthank youâ?!
âHereâs the small one, Jordan can help with the big one when you clock out.â
âOh, no need. Iâll just hail it over my shoulder before I clock out,â Eve could definitely tell Martin was in awkward place, shifting his weight from the right foot to the left. âWhere do I sign for these?â
Did someone dare him to talk to me? Eve couldnât help but be suspicious. None of these made sense. âHere and here. There are also some mails from the fans back there. Iâve sorted them out for you.â
âAh, okay. Great,â Martin reached for the pen as fast as the lightning. âThanks.â
Oh, how much Eve hated this kind of pregnant silence. There was a reason why she wanted people to warm up to her so she could talk anything and everything to fill in these dreadful moments, but it seemed like Martin forgot to pick up the notes she left on the locker room.
HeckâEve couldnât think of anything else but Martin walking past her notes without sparing a glance. Heâd detested anything that could relate him to her.
âI heard youâre resigning.â
Okay, the Earth is definitely ending tomorrow. Martin Ădegaard making small talk to her?!
âI see the wailing wall has reached your ears,â Eve tried to laugh off how much he put her into the same awkward place as he was. How could he know...? Is that my heart skipping a beat? âBut yeah, Iâll be gone after the upcoming Manchester City game.â
âSo soon, huh?â With that, Martin signed off everything necessary. âHave you thought about the parting gift?â
âIâll probably send you all a customized letter or something.â
Eve couldnât believe her ears as Martin scoffed at her idea. She was only joking, sure, but it enticed another reaction from the Norwegian other than annoyance? What kind of sorcery is this?
âYou donât strike me as someone who writes,â Shoot me, how the fuck did he know? âIâd quit with one last bang if I were you.â
âThatâs a wonderful idea,â Eve couldnât believe she was actually considering Martinâs idea. Oh, how much sheâd like to leave an imprint here, especially to that ex-boyfriend of hers. Sheâd pay to make him regret his decision until the day he died. âBut only if I knew how.â
âIâm sure youâll figure it out,â Martin picked up his box, signaling he was departing. âYouâre a bright woman.â
ïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒ
âMorning, Eve.â
Even though Eve could now register his voice without seeing the handsome face, Eve swore to God sheâd never get used to with Martin Ădegaard greeting her first. If he kept up with being this friendlyâyes, at this point Eve considered Martin being friendly, despite their (still) lack of interactionâEve might not survive the New Year.
âOh! Hi, Martin!â She didnât even bother covering up her surprise. âWhat can I get you today?â
âMy mom sent me something again, she said.â
âUh, I havenât received any. Iâll let you know in theWhatsApp group if theyâre here.â
âAlright, thanks,â and off he went.
Back again with two-word answers. Maybe Eve put the friendly label far too soon.
But itâs okay, she thought to herself. At least I resign from this place without any beef with anyone here.
âWhy are you smiling to yourself?â
âJesus, Martin!â Eve genuinely put her hands on her chest from the shock of Martin returning. Sheâd literally be dead before the New Year at this point. âIâm not smiling.â
âYou are,â Eve wondered how Martin could say something meant to tease her with such a straight face. âIâm just going to take it as youâre planning the plan to leave this place with a bang.â
âAhâyeah, about that,â Eve shifted her weight to the other feet nervously, remembering how she went to countless Tinder dates these past two weeks without any result as to whom sheâd go to the party with. âIâm thinking of going to the Christmas party with someone but none of the dates Iâve met so far could go on par my standard.â
âAnd what is the standard?â
âConsidering Bobâs ugly, Iâd say someone younger than him but more good-looking than heâll ever be,â Eve shrugged, masking off the disgust she once dated such guy. âBut has to be way smarter than he is.â
âOkay, so in short,â Eveâs feet moved backwards on its own when Martin placed his crossed arms on the table, body leaning in towards her as if he was thinking hard. As if whatever Eve might say next interested him. âYou need someone better in all aspects.â
âExactly.â
âWhat if I know someone who might not be smarter but so much more popular than him?â
Martinâs helping her?! âDefine more popular.â
âVerified account on Instagram.â
Martinâs helping her. When would this guy stop surprising her? âAwesome, when can I meet him? You know, to run through stuffs so he doesnât blowââ
âChill, Eve,â How could Martin sense she was getting excited but at the same time panicking because of hoshe badly wanted to blow Bobâs arse off the water? âHe knows the deal.â
âHeâs like, what? A professional con artist?â At her submission, Martin laughed. Like the genuine laugh she only saw when he was around others that was definitely not her. Like the one that lit up his entire face, cracking away that cold, Scandinavian features. âWhat are you, Martin Ădegaard? Why are you friends with such people?â
âAs tempting as that idea sounds like, sadly I donât have that kind of friends,â The smile remained etched on Martinâs face and Eve had to remind herself how to breathe properly. She was devastated he was the only person that wasnât talking to her then, she was devastated he was the only person that could coax this bodily response out of her now. âWhat I mean is he knows about the whole Christmas party thing.â
âIs there another staff thatâs single that I donât know of?â Eve immediately recounted all of the single male staffs in the building that could potentially be her partner for a night in her mind. None that met her standard. âWho is it?â
âYouâre looking at him.â
Image be damned, Eve mustâve contorted her face all in the wrong directions like she usually did when her friends dropped the bomb they were getting a gunshot wedding. Not that she was judgemental or anything, but it always came as a shock when they did, growing up together and all.
Who the fuck could contain their composure when Martin Ădegaard dropped the same kind of bomb? Nuclear might as well be more fitting in this context.
âWhat?â Martinâs face turned into something else, confidence was definitely not in the cards anymore. Eve immediately rectified her expression, not wanting the luxury of having Martin Ădegaard sheâd seen minutes ago disappear into thin air. âDonât I qualify?â
âNo! I mean, yesââ Eve unconsciously reached for Martinâs arms when he started pulling himself away. âYou do, youâre an excellent candidateââ
âBut?â
âBut youâre you,â Eve lifted her eyebrows in confusion, not knowing what else to say to emphasis he couldnât possibly be her date for the Christmas party. âYouâre Martin Ădegaard.â
âI donât see anything that complicates your situation.â
Based on Martinâs expression, he truly didnât see anything weird about it. About them coming from two whole different worlds. About them getting together meant it only happened in fairy tales. âYouâre an Arsenal player. No oneâs going to believe youâre going out with me.â
âThen weâll make them believe.â
ïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒïŒâżââââżïŒ
âMartin!â
As soon as she called the Norwegian, Eve regretted her action with her whole being. She moved without thinking much, too eager to talk the concerns that had been plaguing her for the past fortnight with her soon-to-be partner-in-crime, that she didnât realise she was already reaching for his hands, stopping the football player in his place.
However, not only the said player stopped his tracks, but the rest of the canteen went silent at their once-in-a-lifetimeâas far as the public knew anywayâinteraction.
âUmmm,â Under everyoneâs scrutiny, Eve faltered, her hands falling to her sides. âUh, Iââ
âHave my packages arrived?â
That was certainly not why she looked for him but as she met his eyes, she sensed that he was merely helping her out of the awkward situation. How she knew the hidden meaning behind his words, it was a wonder she certainly would have to figure out.
But later, not now, not when her brain was melting under the spotlight. How could Martin play a sold-out match almost every week? âYes! Yes! The mailman needs your signature.â
âAlright, Iâll meet you downstairs.â
Without further ado, Eve dashed out from the canteen without looking back.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. Of course, everyone would look at them. Eve and calling the name âMartinâ didnât belong in the same sentenceâcouldnât, even. As far as everyone was concerned, there was an Atlantic Ocean between them.
Eve didnât even realise she was restlessly pacing back and forth in her small space of working until Martin got a hold of her wrist, stopping her motion. She turned around to face him, unfazed with what had just happened.
âYouâre panicking.â
Oh, how much she wanted to scream âyou think?!â at his face.
âBreathe,â Martinâs eyes told her it wasnât a moot point, so she did. She still felt like sheâd explode anytime soon. âYou should stop doing that, it doesnât suit you.â
âWhat?â
âPanicking,â he answered as easy as the breeze brushing her face. If she wasn't busy sending signals to her brain to not puke on him, sheâd notice her breath was now turning more regularly due to the small circles Martin drew on the back of her hand he was holding.
âWhat does, then?â
âTalking to people, so talk to me. Whatâs up?â
Eve swore sheâd warn Martin to stop whiplashing her reality left and right with his unpredictable answers after they wrapped up this whole fiasco. Like he knew everything about her. Like he wasnât breathing fire down her way a week ago whenever she tried to talk to him.
Now, she had to confide him her biggest concern. âI donât think I can do it.â
Martin didnât show any reaction to her submission. Not a blink, not a muscle pulledânada. And it scared her because she was used to seeing peopleâs reaction to what she said. She liked Martin more when she could read between his lines, like how he saved her from a trouble less than five minutes ago, and not this expressionless one.
âWhy are you not saying anything?â
âI thought you have more to say,â Martin replied, as if it was the most obvious thing she should know. âI told you not to think, just walk me through whatever it is youâre feeling.â
âAnd I told you, I donât think I can pull it off.â
âWhy?â
âI heard heâs going to come.â
âIsnât that the whole point?â Martin was still so calm and composed, it terrified her. While she liked when people used their brain for most parts, she shouldâve come to someone else who could actually support her decision. âWhat are we going to do if heâs not there?â
âHe knows I hate going to places like that, where I go against the companyâs policy for internal dating,â Eve shook her head fervently, trying to make sense to Martin, albeit knowing how futile her attempt would be. Martin was the clubâs captain for a reason. âHeâs not going to believe this charade, Martin.â
âGood thing Iâm technically not an employee here, then.â
Eve internally groanedâwell, she thought she kept it to herself but it seemed like Martin caught on it.
âLook, Eve,â
Whatâs that sound? Right, that was the sound of her heart taking a deep plunge as Martin held her in place by the shoulders. It was amazing how light his grip was but it made her senses aware of nothing else but his hands on her shoulders.
âWhat heâs doing is basically parading a trophy girlfriend. You know how brilliant you are by refusing him? You showed him that youâre so much more than that,â There goes another beat of my heart. No one had spoken to Eve like that, especially with such confidence towards herself, not even her girlfriends that she usually sought advice for. âBy coming with me, youâre basically giving him a big, fat fuck you in his face because it takes someone like me for you to break your own rules. Youâre going to show him you know youâre worth and that heâs not worth your time from the beginning.â
A small part of Eve didnât want to cede to Martinâs logic, proving to herself she was worrying over something so useless. âBut what if that wenchâs also there, Martin? I canât stand the disrespectââ
âNo one will disrespect you while Iâm there, Eve. Not under my watch, they wonât,â Eve had heard so many men saying such lines with the same level of resolution in his voice, but never one with the same amount of determination that laced his words and plastered on his face.
It was Martinâs game face, meaning he didnât intend to entertain childâs play.
âTheyâll have to step over my dead body.â

Natalia
Hardersson x Daughter!Reader
Natalia Guijarro (OC) x Hardersson!Reader
Part of The Big Adeventures Universe
Summary: Talia has a way with the refs
You wrinkle your nose in disgust as you look at the smear of mud on your boot. You know boots get dirty but this is a new pair and you had hoped to keep them cleaner than this after their first game.
It's a little annoying but there's not much else you can do.
Actually, you haven't had much to do in this match at all which is probably the reason why you can take so much time to inspect your shoes.
The action is on the opposite side of the pitch for the most part with brief forays into the midfield but the ball never got close enough to you to need to touch it.
You like playing, obviously, but sometimes it's nice to be on the field and not have to do much. At least when your mothers are in the crowd because there's always the added pressure of keeping a clean sheet when you have to go to dinner with them afterwards.
Besides, a seven-nil lead on a team at the bottom of the table is always fun to watch while on the field.
Talia has been tearing up the opposition's defence. On a hat trick already with a brace of assists you know she'll be searching for a third to complete her set.
On the bench, you can see Alexia bouncing her leg with the other coaches as if this is a make-it-or-break-it game. You're at the top of the table so you can only think she's hoping for the goal difference to increase.
She's a bit intense like that.
You're a bit more relaxed though. It's a mixture of the usual starting eleven and some of the kids from the B Team, testing out formations and roles.
Your defensive line is mainly the kids but they take orders well and don't seem to mind when you micromanage them.
You usual defence know what you want before telling them so it's a seamless partnership. The kids just need a bit more guidance sometimes.
Not that you've really needed to do it this match with all the action up the other side of the pitch. But, still, it's nice that they listen to instructions.
This match has been an easy win for Barcelona but that doesn't mean it hasn't had its mishaps.
Yellow cards have been flying around since the moment the whistle was blown. Three in the first half and four this second half. It's a little impressive, actually, because this referee isn't really known for giving out cards so willingly.
You think that's probably why Alexia seems so intense on the bench. A few players are a yellow card away from being suspended from the next match and you've got matches against second and fourth in the table in the coming weeks.
She'd probably try to take over for coach yelling if anyone got suspended.
You sigh as another altercation happens in the midfield. Some attackers collide with your midfielder and they go down.
It's a clear yellow but it seems like the ref is done giving out cards this match. It's the wrong decision but you're not about to march up to her and tell her that.
Talia seems to have no such reservations.
You can't quite hear what she's saying but you know she's arguing because her hands are flying around and her face is all tense and the vein in her neck is bulging.
This ref is a bit trigger-happy with dissent though and you can see her hand twitch towards the cards in her pocket.
"Talia!" You yell.
She ignores you.
"Natalia!"
She turns her head slightly to the noise but doesn't stop.
"Natalia Guijarro!"
She turns to look at you and you point to the space in front of you.
She jogs there, panting from exertion or yelling, you're not quite sure.
"Yeah?"
"Don't you dare get a yellow for something as silly as arguing."
"But-"
"No, Alexia's about to blow a gasket on the bench and you'll just give my Morsa more reason to dislike you. Go and get another assist so you have something to brag about."
She sighs, kicking a patch of grass stubbornly. "Fine."
"Good."
Talia ends the match with no yellow cards and a hattrick of assists to add to her hattrick of goals.
Alexia gives you a nod of thanks as you pass her before she turns on her heel to go yell at the players that got yellows.
Talia's arm wraps around your waist as you approach the stands.
"Good game," Momma greets as you stop in front of her.
"Good game for her definitely." You nudge Talia. "Hattrick queen."
Talia's cheeks glow red at the praise. She always does that when it's you complimenting her.
"Almost got a yellow card too," Morsa says and you roll your eyes.
Her whole act of annoyance with Talia is so flimsy at this point.
"But she didn't."
"Yeah, I suppose she didn't..."
Talia's grin widens.
"Let us get changed and we'll meet you outside? Or reservation is in forty-five minutes."

SAVANNAHâS POV:
I hadn't set a foot on a pitch for 10 months because of my injury, if you don't count the training sessions I had to do to get back up to level.
*FLASHBACK*
It was the 46th minute of the match and the Colombians had the ball in midfield. Fortunately for us, Liana Salazar pushed the ball too hard with her dribbling.
"What a mistake by Salazar, who pushed the ball into Savannah Sonnett's feet," said the commentator. "Wow, the American player has just fallen to the ground because of her knee, which reacted very badly," he added. "I hope it's not too serious for her," added the other commentator.
Unfortunately, I was still on the ground, my knee in my hands, when I heard Rose and Sofia shouting my name. "Are you all right?" asked Rose as Sofia quickly alerted the medics. "My knee, it's hurting too much, Rose," I cried as the medical staff arrived.
Once on the stretcher, they took me to a room to do a few tests before confirming at the hospital. "Do you want someone to go with you Savannah?" one of the medics asked me, "Yes my sister please." I replied, my eyes still red. "All right, I'll get her," he said, before leaving to find Emily.
When he came back 10 minutes later with my sister, I already felt a little safer with her by my side. "Do you want your phone while we wait for the results?" she asked, "Yes please" I said, holding out my hand towards her.
I was scrolling through the stories on Instagram when I saw her name appear on the screen, and a little smile came over my face despite the pain and sadness of the moment.
My 'Tana
I hope it's not too serious, and even if it is, I'll be by your side every day despite the Euro! I love you, don't forget that and be strong!
Call me when you know what you've got!â€ïž
//
Luckily she was there, even though she's over 8000 km away. It had been over 2 years since Aitana and I started dating in secret, as we were still young and worried about people looking at us, so we preferred to tell only our closest family and friends. I was very lucky to be able to play for the same club as her, despite our different nationalities. During the season, I still get to see her asleep on my chest with my arm around her, while during international camps I wake up to Kelley or my sister snoring. Very charming, you might say.
//
When the results came back I was devastated. I'd ruptured my anterior cruciate ligament. Not being able to set foot on a pitch again for at least 10 months? It's worse than pregnancy! Luckily I had my sister, my girlfriend and my team-mates by my side, otherwise I don't think I'd have had the strength to fight to play again one day. If only I'd known that my comeback would be in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Chelsea, I'd have prepared myself mentally beforehand, because stressing out before a match is anything but good.
//
*BACK TO THE PRESENT*
//
Waking up before a match is always complicated, especially when you know you're going to have to make your comeback in front of a full Camp Nou. Despite the mounting stress, I know I've been waiting for this moment for the last 10 months and I absolutely don't want to spoil it - I've been waiting too long for this moment, the moment when I'll see my number in green on the board so I can make my comeback.
//
As we arrived at the stadium for the inspection, the fear of hurting myself again started to appear before I'd even put on the shirt and touched a ball. Having sensed my distress, Alexia came to my side to reassure me that she too would soon be back on the pitch and that the team would soon be complete.
"You're scared, aren't you?" she asked. "I'm terrified to be honest, I'm afraid of hurting myself again at any moment, but I know I need that fear to motivate me now, because the match has already started," I said as I started to go into the changing room to put on my kit and warm up. "Don't worry, we're all behind you if you need us, you know that, we believe in you" she said, "Thank you Alexia, really, I can't wait for you to get back out on the pitch too" I said before letting her leave with the other players not selected for the match.
"Good luck mi amor", I said, whispering into Aitana's ear as I walked behind her, leaving my hand on her back. "Good luck to you too, baby, I can't wait to see you on the pitch with me," she said, leaning on my hand. "Try and score for me when you get sub in," she whispered before kissing me on the cheek. And then she left me like an idiot, with a little smile and my fingers on the cheek where she'd kissed me.
//
We were in the 84th minutes into the match when Jonatan decided to bring me on for Aitana. After the mini-warm-up, I went next to the scoreboard where I finally saw my number on it. I see Aitana come forward to clap my hands, but not before taking me in her arms and kissing me: "Bienvenido de nuevo, mi amor," she says. "Gracias mi Tana," I tell her before running off to take my place to the sounds of applause by the fans.
//
The final whistle: we were in the Women's Champions League final! I couldn't believe it. Despite the excitement spreading through my body, I first went to congratulate the Chelsea players before feeling a small body jump onto my back. When the person dropped, I knew immediately who it was. "Mi Tana," I said, taking her by the waist and twirling her around me. "I'm very proud of you, especially after everything you've been through in the last 10 months," she said, kissing me in front of a crazy Camp Nou. "Thank you for always supporting me and staying by my side," I said, resting my forehead against hers. "I'll always be there, you know that," she promises me, before taking my hand and heading off in the direction of the others to cheer the crowd. "I was sure you were together," Patri admitted, putting her arms around our shoulders, "You're adorable," Alexia said, and soon the whole team and staff were complimenting us. "Would you rather talk about our relationship or celebrate our place in the final?" asked Aitana half-heartedly. "THE FINAL" replied the whole team, sprinting into the changing rooms, singing and dancing.

getting what she wants
lena oberdorf x OC x USWNT x reader
part three of five
summary: you hope that your actions don't affect the national team before the olympics.
warnings: cheating
oc description here
the air in new york was thick with anticipation, the kind of electric energy that always surrounded a match, even a friendly.Â
but today, it wasnât just about the game for you. there was something else simmering underneath the surfaceâa mix of emotions that you hadnât quite been able to shake since the messy breakup with sloan three days before.Â
everyone knew about it by now, of course. your teammates, her teammates, mutual friends⊠it was impossible to keep anything quiet in the football world, especially when both of you were so connected to so many players.Â
you couldnât even really escape it. but today, the pitch was your escape.Â
you tried to lose yourself in the familiar routine of preparing for the match. your bright blue cleats laced up, your mind running through tactical plays made by the new management, your body itching to release all the pent-up frustration and confusion from the last few weeks.Â
you couldnât help but overhear sophia and trinity talking to tierna talking a few feet away, their voices hushed but carrying enough that you caught snippets while stretching.
"i mean, sloan was always going to have feelings for savannah," sophia said, her tone nonchalant.Â
"itâs no surprise theyâre back together now."
"yeah, but still... y/n doesnât deserve all of this," trinity muttered, glancing in your direction before looking back at sophia.Â
"i mean, come on. the whole thing was a mess."
"sloan wasnât right for y/n, and we all knew it. it was only a matter of time before this happened. i just wished it didnât happen now before the olympics. maybe this will be a good time for y/n to channel her anger into motivation. " tierna nodded in agreement, her arms crossed.Â
you felt your chest tighten at their words. even though you knew they were rightâeveryone was rightâit didnât make it any easier.Â
the breakup with sloan had been inevitable, but that didnât stop the hurt. it didnât erase the guilt of everything that had happened, especially with lena.Â
it stings knowing that savannah and sloan are basically back togetherâ just three days after you guys officially broke up. sloan was never a victim, you knew that, but her making you out to be the bad guy was something youâve never seen from her in the three years you had with her.
the whirlwind of emotions youâd been riding sinceâ who knows whenâ felt like it was spinning out of control, and this game against mexico was your only chance to anchor yourself, even if just for ninety minutes.
you shook your head, trying to clear your thoughts as you stood up from the bench. being in the starting lineup was good, you had enough time to clear your head instead of overthinking on the bench.
"itâs just a game," you muttered to yourself, but deep down, you knew it was more than that.Â
this was your chance to prove yourself, not only to your teammates but to your new coach, emma hayes. she hadnât been around long, but you could already feel the shift in the team. and you knew she was watching, evaluating, trying to piece together her starting eleven for the olympics.Â
you needed to show her that you belonged in that lineupâthat you were ready for the pressure.
as you stepped onto the field outside of the tunnel, the excitement of the crowd filled your ears, but all you could focus on was the ball that was going to be at your feet, the opposing players that will be in front of you, and the tactical decisions youâd been preparing for all week.Â
the weight of everything elseâlena, sloan, the dramaâwas still there, but for now, you shoved it to the back of your mind.
the game kicked off, and immediately, you found your rhythm.Â
your passes were sharp, your vision on point. mexicoâs defense was tight, but as the best attacking midfielder in the worldâ you moved through them with ease, linking up with your teammates, pushing forward with purpose.Â
you gave your front lineâ sophia, trinity, and malloryâ many great chances. which they all missed or got blocked. that is okay, for now. it's the tenth minute and with each touch of the ball, you felt more in control, more focused.Â
about fifteen minutes in, you spotted an opening in mexicoâs backline as you pushed yourself up a bitâ as mallory pulled herself back from an opportunity before.Â
you made a run, breaking past the defenders onside, and sophia found you with a perfectly timed through ball.Â
without hesitation, you took a shot. the ball curved beautifully past the goalkeeper and hit the back of the net after you took the shot outside of the box.
the stadium erupted in cheers, but all you felt was a rush of adrenaline and satisfaction.Â
you ran to the corner of the pitch with your arms out. most of the team sprinted to you and gave you hugs and praises. you needed that goal.Â
the first goal was always the hardest, but you werenât done yet. not even close.
"y/n that was fucking amazing!" trinity called as she jogged up beside you, jumping on your back.Â
you laughed as you gave her the five second piggy-back ride before she pulled herself from your body.Â
"thanks trin," you replied, your mind already moving on to the next play.
as the first half wore on, the pressure from mexico intensified. they were pushing hard to equalize, but you were locked in.Â
every tackle, every pass, every decision you made was calculated, determined. you werenât going to let anything slip.
in fact, a commentator on television mentions that you havenât made an error yet.Â
right before halftime, you did it again. this time, it was a quick counterattack.Â
mallory drove the ball up the wing and sent a low cross into the box. you were there, in the right place at the right time, and with a swift touch, you redirected the ball into the net for your second goal.
"letâs fucking go!!!!" you heard mallory scream, running up to hug you.Â
the rest of the team swarmed around, congratulating you, but again, you kept it low-key.Â
you were locked inâlaser-focused on what needed to be done. you couldnât afford to let anything distract you, especially not now.
some of the girls knew what has gotten into youâ but theyâre still amazed.Â
at halftime, the locker room was buzzing with excitement. two-nil up against mexico was a good place to be, but you werenât satisfied yet.
this was strange, usually youâre the happiest person on the planet when you score one goal each match. suddenly, two goals feels like lightwork for you.Â
you needed to do more.Â
as you sat down to catch your breath, you felt sophia sit next to you.
"youâre killing it out there," she said, offering a small smile.Â
"emmaâs definitely gonna notice. no way sheâs not starting you in the olympics after this." trinity joined in the conversation, putting her arm around your shoulders as you rested your head on hers.Â
you needed the comfort.
"thanks," you muttered, still feeling the weight of everything else swirling in your mind.
"hey," sophia lowered her voice, leaning in a bit closer.Â
"i know everything with sloan has been... a lot. but youâre not a bad person, y/n. you and sloan... it wasnât going to work out in the long run, and you know that." she puts her hand on your knee.
"itâs just... i feel like i messed up too. with lena." you glanced at her, the guilt still gnawing at you.Â
trinity raised an eyebrow.Â
sophia already knew that you hooked up with lena while with sloan, thanks to sloan blasting the portland thorns group chat about the discovery after you guys broke up.Â
when sam told you she did that, you sighed.Â
of course someone had to be the bad guyâ might as well be me. you thought.
"lena? you didnât mess up, y/n. sloan wasnât treating you right, and itâs not like she wasnât seeing savannah. breaking up was the right thing to do, for both of you."
âwhat happened?â trinity asked.Â
âi hooked up with lena.â you say, nervous for trinityâs reaction.Â
âlena who?â trinity asks.Â
âoberdorf, my teammate at bayern.â you say.Â
âohh, the one who tackles.â trinity jokes, making the conversation feel lighter than it was.Â
before you could respond, the coaches started calling everyone back out for the second half.Â
you stood up, taking a deep breath. you had forty-five more minutes to show what you could do, to leave everything on the field.
and thatâs exactly what you did.
in the 70th minute, you found the perfect opportunity to seal your performance.
trinity made a darting run down the right flank, drawing the defense toward her. you hung back, waiting just outside the box. she spotted you and sent a precise pass your way. you took a touch, steadying the ball, then fired it into the top corner.
hat trick.
the stadium exploded with cheers, your teammates mobbing you in celebration, but all you could feel was the relief. it was over.
now you were satisfied. the game was done, and youâd done exactly what you needed to do.Â
"holy shit, y/n!" trinity exclaimed, grinning as she wrapped an arm around your shoulders.Â
"youâre on fire today." you felt naomi jump on your back after saying that.
you managed a small smile, but inside, your emotions were a mess.Â
the high from the game clashed with the low from everything that had been happening off the pitch. the guilt, the uncertainty, it was all still there.
as the team made their way back to the locker room after the game, you could feel the weight returning.Â
the game had been a temporary reprieve, but now you were back to reality. and that reality included the fallout from your breakup.
once inside, as you peeled off your sweat-soaked jersey, emily passed by without a word.Â
she hadnât been talking to you much lately as before. in fact, the arsenal defender hasn't spoken to you once since the national break started. you knew whyâshe was closer to sloan than to you.Â
her friendship and loyalty was for your ex.
it stung, but you couldnât really blame her. this was messy for everyone involved.
some of the girls saw the sad look you gave emily.
"donât worry about her," mallory said quietly, noticing your glance.Â
"sheâll come around again. just give it time."
you nodded, though it didnât do much to ease the tightness in your chest.
again, the girls knew what you were thinking. as if your mind was on full display.Â
"youâre not a bad person," trinity added from the bench nearby, her tone gentle but firm.Â
"itâs just... you and sloan werenât right for each other. that doesnât make you a bad person."
"yeah," sophia chimed in.Â
you swallowed hard, their words settling over you like a blanket of comfort, but it didnât erase the guilt entirely.Â
"i just want to move on," you muttered, more to yourself than to them.
"and you will," tierna said, giving you a reassuring nod.Â
"after d.c., itâs olympic time. focus on that. new chapter, new start." crystal says.Â
you knew she was right.Â
the olympics were just around the corner, and you couldnât afford to dwell on the past. it was time to let go, to move on.
"yeah," you agreed quietly, mostly to convince yourself.Â
"a new start."
