It’s not red it’s just black scribbles but just in case), Andromeda is the world’s WORST mum, and by that I mean she tries to kill two of her kids, uhhhh I think that’s it you’ve been warned. I don’t think I’d as bad as the warnings may make it seem but I’m the one who made it so take that with a grain of salt I guess. Also major spoilers for the end of my oc story but there’s no where to read it so I guess you have to see how it ends

Some pictures, not great, of the interesting sky this morning before dawn. The moon is a crescent but the phone just made it a bright blob. The bright thing to its right and lower is Jupiter and below that and left is mars. I’m not sure what the star is directly left of Jupiter.

Orion is at the bottom right in the second picture. Above him is a V formation* that’s part of the constellation Taurus (it me!) and above that the tight group of stars known as the Pleaides. I know there’s more and I can look them up but this is as far as my own knowledge takes me.

*The bright star on the lower left of that Taurus V is Aldebaran, one of the brightest stars in the sky. It’s a red giant and ‘only’ 65 light years away.

Prompt 5 - Gold

They stood beside the lake and watched the firefighters putting the fire out. They all squirmed when McGonagall came to stand in front of them and glared. 

“I am almost certain that one of you, if not all of you, had something to do with this.” Her eyes were on Sirius. 

Remus started fiddling with the red and gold friendship bracelet on his wrist. Sirius's hand reached over and covered his own, stilling the nervous fingers. Sirius turned his charm on Minerva, keeping his hand on Remus as though it was normal. 

“Minnie, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it wasn’t me.”  Sirius’s thumb brushed the soft underside of Remus’s wrist. Remus felt a shiver go down his spine and he had to try hard to keep his pounding heartbeat from giving him away.

“Alright everybody, the fire is out. Please return to your cabins, and we’ll see you bright and early for a treasure hunt.” Albus spoke to all the congregated campers and leaders. 

“I will figure out who is responsible,” Minerva narrowed her eyes again at the four from Gryffindor cabin. However, her eyes did soften at Remus. He hadn’t been there that long for her to think he’d had anything to do with it. She strode away from them to talk with Albus and the firefighters.

“Come on,” Sirius started towards their cabin, dragging Remus along with him. 

They piled onto Sirius’s bed this time. Sirius pulled Remus onto the bed beside him. 

“Stop looking so worried Pete. We didn’t leave anything for them to think it was us.” James tried to reassure the nervous boy. 

“Yeah, Petey. The only thing we left behind was the tin box and that was just a cheap thing we found in the supply cupboard.” Sirius joined in. “Besides, all the evidence will have burned up.” Remus couldn’t help it, he snorted, which set off the others. Soon they were all giggling. 

Sirius reached over to the little bedside table and opened the cupboard. He sat back up with a packet of Mars bars in his hand and started handing them out. Remus bit into the gooey treat and smiled happily. He wiggled his foot as the chocolate, caramel and nougat melted onto his tongue. He saw Sirius cock his head at the movement out of the corner of his eye. Remus stilled the movement and looked down, trying to ignore Sirius’s gaze.

Sirius laid back onto his pillow and stretched his legs out into Remus’s lap. He began slowly wiggling his feet back and forth like Remus had been a moment before. Remus blinked down at his lap, frozen. 

“So treasure hunt tomorrow, what do we think that entails?” Sirius asked the group. Peter had calmed down now that he had chocolate. 

“Last year they hid the clues around the lake, it’ll probably be in the forest,” Peter said around a mouthful of chocolate. 

“Yeah, but that’s what they did the year before,” James said thoughtfully. “Plus you burnt down half the forest Pete,” James added, chuckling. 

“James,” Peter whined. 

“I’m only teasing Pete. There’s still plenty of trees out there,” James guffawed as Peter grumbled under his breath and went to sit on his own bed, pulling a magazine out from under his pillow and hiding behind it. James moved back to his own bed as well, putting his earphones in and turning on some music. Remus waited for Sirius to move his feet so he could get up as well, but he didn’t. 

He turned to look at Sirius, but Sirius had put his hands behind his head and closed his eyes. Remus put his hand gently on Sirius’s leg, getting ready to move them out of the way, when Sirius’s eyes snapped open and stared straight into Remus’s. Remus froze again.

fun fact: Under Pressure by Bowie and Queen (its a collab) was released on Nov 2nd, 1981, and Remus and Sirius would have been so happy and excited but Halloween had already happened and Sirius was framed by peter the day before. 

I think Remus hadn't listened to any David Bowie or Queen for the twelve years Sirius was in Azkaban because he wanted the chance to maybe listen to them with his kinda-not-really-ex, but that was just wishful thinking because Sirius was a convicted serial killer and he also got too sad listening to them, as the music reminded him of his friends and common room parties. Sirius didn't listen to them because he was in FUCKING AZKABAN FOR 12 YEARS and therefore didn't get a chance to listen to them.

Then, in Harry's third year, Sirius gets out and Remus has multiple daydreams of them meeting and hugging and sirius was actually innocent (lol) and he gets pardoned and they still love each other and they move in together and then they listen to all of Queen and Bowie's discography together once more. When the Shack happens, Remus is really happy and his dream almost came true but FUCKING PETER RUINED IT the fucking bitch and then they move into Grimmauld and then they listen to all of Bowie and Queen and they just end up sobbing together (they still love each other very much dont worry) and they watch the movie on Bowie together and dance together and its all fluffy and romantic until Sirius goes to the Department of Mysteries and FUCKING DIES AEXDGKUVH BM<N WHY DOES REMUS HAVE TO BE ALONE AGAIN

and then he listens to them once more before the Battle of Hogwarts because he was going to let a Death Eater kill him so he could be reunited with his love and his friends. also i think tonks and him got married bc of teddy (not hating on remdora, just don't like it as much. we have our own opinions)

Ranking The Incident's members from "normal-ish straightman" to "interesting weirdo (affectionate)" based on their personalities. I am sorry if you disagree, but I respect your opinions on this matter.

1. Shrimp. Despite her admittedly off-putting smile, she's also just a very kindhearted young girl with a love for music. Consistently seems to fill the role as a younger sibling for other members to defend. Shrimp just wants to make others happy and seems like a relatively normal shark girl idol.

2. Big Bill. Surprisingly, for a buff, humanoid duck, he actually seems pretty chill. Don't have much to say about him, so he gets this by default.

3. Orion. Probably the closest to the "traditional" heroic archetype, being a strong and devoted family man with plenty of skill as a swordsman. He loves his daughter, plays both classes to the best of his ability, and is probably the voice of reason a lot of the time. The only thing keeping him down a bit is his odd attempts at giving presents and seeing an immortal chef with a thousand-yard stare and massive eyebrows as the best pick for a partner.

4. Erica. In a way, I see her and Orion as two sides of the same coin, being dedicated warriors who changed classes with a strong urge to keep their team safe. However, her Season 2 development led to her throwing much of her caution to the wind, so her temper and violent streak knock her placement down a bit. Still, I definitely could see her being the type to call others on their crap and forcing herself back into the straightwoman role if really needed. Very much a case of "only functional by comparison."

5. Failboat. The man, the myth, the definitely (maybe) not a furry, he's... gone through a lot since the first season. While it's difficult to say where the creator ends and the character's personality begins, I personally see C!Fail as a pretty nice guy, just world-weary and desperate for a break after his experience of the world. (TBF, makes sense given his relationship with Chat). Also, any man who eats spaghetti with cat paws on cannot be labeled as normal.

6. Bo. Certainly not the most unhinged even after her vampire transformation, but her generally seeming on edge a lot of the time makes me feel she deserves this position. Honestly, I'd just say her position fluctuates as much as Failboat's and Erica's.

7. Friend. While we likely can't truly judge a maybe-divine entity with human norms, I do think them being fairly serene and forgiving, yet also casting Righteous Anger with zero hesitancy and a stone cold smile, can speak for itself.

8. Mar. While his stoicism and apathy towards the zany nature of his party do make him appear normal at first, I'd argue it also makes him nearly as unhinged as the two members below him. Except, instead of being the "blast the door off the hinges" unhinged, he's the "saw it down and let it fall over" kind of unhinged. An odd mix of blank mindedness, Italian plumber cosplay, and top-notch leadership. To quote one of the memes @gnomey22 posted, Mar is "queer as in gay, yes, but also queer as in really very peculiar." He sees recklessness but willingly chooses to just watch it happen.

9. Chi. This, THIS is a character that I feel like could actually break everything in her body, survive and get healed, and immediately repeat whatever it is she just did—either for science, her love of fire, or just because it's fun. Sometimes for her friends, yeah, but mostly one of the above things. She sees everything from gender norms and to the laws of chemistry and just goes, "Hmm... nah, not really up for that," and defies them openly and instantaneously. Honestly, though, I vibe with it. Can definitely see why a lot of people like her!

10. Chat. I mean, what did you expect? They're a loose cannon both literally and figuratively. They spread mayonnaise on Failboat's head when he was ill. Proclaimed their friendship with their team before firing them at the enemy. They're a bundle of untamed voices, like a nest of fire ants who lost a pheromone trail.

...Well, that took longer than I thought. Hope anyone who sees this enjoyed it, though!
