what's Peri's deal?

Okay Peri's deal is somewhat complicated just based on the fact that she's the oldest oc that I have for this particular universe, and would be the main character if I ever wrote it as an actual story, so she's gone through quite a bit of evolution (as a character that I've had for five or so years does lol).

Here's a rough doodle of her:

So she's seventeen years old (currently, I might change that lol), and she works as what is known in universe as an arsonist. That basically means she lights and/or maintains fires for people, and since she does so with fire magic that can sustain itself with much less than a regular flame, it generally saves people a lot on fuel. There aren't that many people who can manipulate flame, so her talents are generally pretty high in demand. Her magic is also considered to be a divine blessing.

She's pretty outgoing and boisterous, and can make friends just as easily as enemies. She's not a fan of heights, and gets teased for that because she's the tallest person in her friend group. She also has generalized amnesia and doesn't remember her life before around the age of eight, when her parents died in a fire.

She honestly tries not to think about her parents too much, but their deaths still have had a lasting impact on her. She knows that people can just disappear without warning, but more importantly she knows she can forget them, and that scares her. Does she process this? No <3 Absolutely not <3 She is never going to think about this if she can help it <3

But that also means that she's got a lot of unresolved insecurities about her relationships and a fear (subconscious at best cause girlie does Not want to acknowledge it) that in one way or another people will leave her.

So I was just singing Spy x Family's praises to my friend (as you do), and it occurred to me that the characters' backstories may be revealed in the order they were introduced: Twilight>Anya>Yor.

We know that each member of the main cast has had painful childhood experiences (honestly, I wouldn't even know how to rank who had it worse because each is its own brand of hell), it could make perfect sense to introduce the backstories sequentially or it could be introduced as leading themes into current plotlines. Who knows?

Chapter 90.5 has us all waiting with baited breath to see if we're getting Anya's backstory or not and I think if we are getting another look into someone's past, Anya's makes the most sense. Though Endo could be a complete tease and not give us anything for another 10 chapters 😭.

Twilight's backstory provided some great context into his past and what led to his current emotional struggles, setting the context for why he holds fast to his goal of 'creating a peaceful world' while fighting his losing battle of loving his new little family (especially the mole arc hoooboy!).

We already have in story context for Project Apple, we know it's existence, that there was human and animal experimentation (Anya and Bond) and that the subjects were being used for political goals somehow. We had the lead up of little bread crumbs along the way like she might have 'escaped the lab', her random knowledge of classical language, etc. Now would be a good time to start working toward weaving that story more fully into the main plot line (Random aside but has anyone ever noticed Desmond has 2 scars on the side of his head like Frankenstein's screws?).

I think Yor's backstory is still quite a ways off. There's still too much we don't know about Garden, I think, for them to introduce her backstory and how she met them. They're shady af, we don't know what their motives are, who they work for, nothing!

I mean, was anyone else worried when Yor mentioned Loid took a liking to Desmond and Shopkeeper was like 'oh really?'. That was so sinister, and it was never mentioned again! Makes me feel like a setup to him digging into Loid Forger or something.

Bringing in Garden's orgins seems like material leading up to identity reveals between Yor and Twilight, and the story just isn't there yet. So Anya it is and I'm so ready but I'm so NOT!

Using tarot with loa

Ive been making post describing how i would intpret cards using loa terminology or concepts but i havent made a post explaining how tarot interacts with loa. If any other blogger has made a post on this i apologize if its repetive.

I also want to say that it doesnt matter what you want to call the phenomenon that is loa. To me, it reflects beleifs that have been held for centuries about god, conciousness and reality , but today many people learn about this phenomenon through the terminology of law of assumption so i don't mind calling it that either.

What is tarot

Tarot is a pack of 78 cards designed for divination. the classic rider deck was made by Author Edward Waite and illustrated by Pamela Cole Smith in the early 20th century, most decks created today are based off this deck. in the creation of the deck, Pamela was inspired by esoteric and pyschic visions as well as things in her real life. Waite also incorporated many concepts from religion and esoterisim into the cards, many cards have references to the kabbalah, astrology, manifestion, spell work, color symbolisim, numerology etc. The cards aren't random, meaningless pictures as some people have asserted, anyone who says that is usually to lazy to learn it so they project their lack of knowledge onto the cards.

☆★☆ Even though tarot has a system of meanings and symbolism attached to the cards, this system is very flexible and you can apply any lense onto the cards. Let's say you were a Christian using tarot; maybe you would interpret judgement to be about repentance, seeking forgiveness and holding yourself accountable. Maybe you would interpret ace of cups as holiness, purity, miracles. Tarot conforms to whatever lense you apply to the cards.

Tarot very easily conforms to the lense of loa because it already explores concepts of conciousness, states of mind, manifestion, reality. It's just a matter of applying what you know to the cards. As I've said in my tarot series, 4 of cups can represent someone not placing emphasis on undesirable things in your reality, and shifting your focus intenrally. The heirophant can represent guides, teachers, coaches, stubborn beliefs, the 9 of cups represents living in the wish fullfilled. Etc.

These interpretations don't stray from the orginal tarot meanings but give them more depth. applying the lense in which resonates with what you believe the most to tarot cards helps you understand what they mean to you personally.

Let's also address the question of whether or not tarot can predict your future.

Yes and no. It can predict what will happen, but not always. The future is not defined by tarot, the future is created by what you do in the present. Sometimes tarot will warn you or pass on information about what will happen if you continue in the state you're in. For example, I once kept getting cards warning me that I was going to have money stolen from me from a female figure who was a pisces. A few weeks later, my mother (who is a pisces) stole 50 dollars from me, I found out because I pulled the 7 of swords AGAIN and when I checked my purse my money was gone, my mom had spent it. If I listened to the warning and understood what it was saying weeks prior, i could have hidden my money and changed my reality. Soo here's my offical answer:

Tarot spontaneously gives glimpses into the future based on what you are doing now.

But for the most part, you can use tarot to reflect subconcious beliefs, what state you're in, what message you need to hear, etc it's best used as a tool to reflect your intenral world back to you because remmeber, the best way to predict the future is to create it

Using tarot to help you in the present is how most readers employ tarot cards anyways, but getting stuck in the cycle of trying to figure out what will happen to you is how people get stuck.

Alias: Celestial Moon

Age: 28

Nationality: Japanese

Orgins: Celestial Moon harbors a darker side. She was approached by Vought International and offered a position in The Seven, under the condition that she relocates to America. Seeing an opportunity to expand her influence and bring her own brand of justice to a new continent, she accepted. I wonder why? Hmmmmmm.

Personality: Ayumi is outwardly kind, nurturing, and composed, exuding a motherly aura that comforts those around her. She often speaks in a soft, melodious voice and carries herself with grace and elegance. However, she is fiercely protective of those she cares about and can be ruthless when dealing with threats. Her mysterious nature keeps others at a distance, never fully revealing her true intentions or feelings.

Ayumi's true motivations are shrouded in mystery. While she genuinely wants to protect the innocent and bring peace, she also has a more personal agenda. She seeks to uncover the truth behind Vought's experiments and the origins of her powers, believing that there is a greater destiny awaiting her. Her interactions with Homelander and the other members of The Seven are all steps in her grander plan to reshape the world in her ideal image of justice and harmony.

Relationship with Homelander: Ayumi has a complicated relationship with Homelander. Publicly, she appears to be one of his closest allies, often seen by his side, offering guidance and support. Her calming presence seems to have a unique effect on him, tempering his more volatile tendencies. Some speculate that she uses her emotion control abilities to manage Homelander, though this is something she vehemently denies.

In private, Ayumi sees Homelander as a project, someone she can "take care of" and perhaps reform. She is one of the few who can stand up to him without fear, leveraging her powers and her enigmatic charm to keep him in check. Homelander, in turn, is both intrigued and frustrated by her, unable to fully control or understand her, which only deepens his obsession with her.

I'll reveal one of her powers:

Emotion Control: She has the subtle ability to calm others or inspire feelings of peace and security, often used to de-escalate tense situations or manipulate emotions to her advantage.

I got bored so here's a lil drabble I made about Loki and Alex for funises

"You aren't my child, Alex Fierro." Loki stated, crossing his arms, "I may have created you, and we share the same face. But you will never be one of my children."

He didn't say it maliciously. He didn't grin as he said it, finding joy in what he was doing. No, he just looked at her with an expressionless face and stated it matter-of-factly, as if it was as simple as saying the sky is blue.

He continued, "Neither is Samirah Al-Abbas or any of the demigods I have created over the years. My children..." He sighed, "My true children...are Fenrisúlfr, Jörmungand, Hela, Sleipnir, Narvi and Vali."

Then came the final blow, the part that even Loki himself looked pained to say as if even he didn't want it to be this way.

"You—and all other demigods I have brought into these worlds— are simply just a creation to me. A by-product of a night with some insignificant mortal. You, are not my child and I am not your mother."

I don't know why I did this lmao, I usually feel like he does have some flicker of love for all his kids but I just wanted to hurt Alex (if she'd even care) for once.

And also Loki only truly loving his monsterous kids (+ Narvi and Vali) is a depressing concept to think about that is probably closer to canon than I like :(

I feel like the ending here is kinda unsatisfying but I have other projects to work on and homework to do.

Also fun fact originally i was gonna have it show Loki slightly be remorseful at the end (Kinda did slightly with this line: 'Loki himself looked pained to say as if even he didn't want it to be this way')

It was orginally gonna end with

"I'm sorry I can't love you like you deserve".

But i felt that was kinda OOC

BSD 108 – Will DoA arc be like Avengers Infinity War & Endgame?

Hello~~~

Omg this chapter was sooo delicious – me Fyodor stan having time of my life xD His performance and his final words mocking Sigma was 10000/10 – he is truly fascinating and complex villain, I love him xD

OK, let’s get serious XDD

For some time I was wondering how Asagiri intends to finish this arc... Everything indicate that it will end soon, but at the same time given how OP Fukuchi and Fyodor are in their respective fields – some deus ex machina for ADA to win would be unsatisfactory to me honestly. Initially I thought that Bram or Aku will take over and regain control of all vampires and stop Fukuchi, but… after this chapter looks like there is no time for that xD

So I think DOA’s plan won’t be stopped at all, but they will achieve what they want just like Thanos in Avengers Infinity War.

By this I mean that DOA will succeed and create temporary reality – first using One Order to destabilize current world and then using the Book to create new one without abilities. Symbolically, destruction and rebirth always go hand in hand and you can’t have one without another.

Then we will get time skip and Endgame equivalent – our characters living in new world and getting that something is wrong and need to be changed. Maybe reality without abilities would not be so peaceful, who would have guessed that xD Also maybe there will be some rip-off effect of changing reality or some enemy will appear, who guards canon timeline xD Possibilities are endless – it just depends on what Asagiri has in mind and what story he wants to tell.

After all, the core of the story is that abilities are not source of evil and are just part of everyone’s self as projection of fear/greed/anger/and so on. Though world without abilities would be tempting to some characters, which abilities were partly source of suffering - like to Atsushi, who was hesitating whether DOA plan should be stopped. But still, negative traits are still part of everybody and they just need to be balanced by good ones and choices to be better person.

Other random thoughts related to chapter:

Fyodor’s seizure to words ‘help me’ didn’t look fake and it reminded me of how N tried to take control of Verlaine in SB. But I guess it was just temporary and Fyodor regained control and used it to fool Sigma. Ofc it can be that he faked all - we will see if there is more to it or not. Btw I still believe that Fyodor’s backstory is akin to Verlaine or Chuuya – that he was tampered artificially by military to get powerful ability and he started to resent world and abilities because of that. Personality disorder would be indeed cliché and it was already done once in 55 Minutes LN, so I hope that Asagiri has something more interesting for Fyodor in store.

Gogol where are you 👀 I wonder if he is author of the note and that he simply wanted to sabotage Fyodor xD he is character with much potential, I hope he wasn’t just in this arc to set up duel between Dazai and Fyodor in this arc

Me Bram confusion😵 previous chapter pretty set up Bram rejecting passivity and trying to fight for Aya’s future. But this one kinda backed out of this, so I am not really sure where his arc is leading to for now xD but maybe some heroic act later on

Though depending on how things will go - self-sacrifice will suit Fukuchi or Mori too as a way to undo their wrongdoings. Again, possibilities are endless.

Fukuzawa’s state – still I would say it is 50/50 given how healing abilities work whether Asagiri needs character to live or not. Nonetheless, I was expecting his death for a while and it is more plausible option for story sake – Ranpo just needs some character development and Asagiri often use mentor’s death for that. Imo Kunikida as next ADA director was red herring and Ranpo fits better for that role given Agency’s orgin.

Btw i don’t think Sigma will die.

Ofc, it is just speculation and I am not 100% sure that story will go that way, since BSD tends to be so unpredictable. But imo Asagiri didn’t recently mention for no reason that he was inspired by Avengers and that ideally he wants one more season for anime too xD

hey kelsey! idk how active you are on here, but i just saw that you wiped your old blog and wanted to send a message! as cheesy as this may sound, the love letters series and your writing/blog got me through my freshman year of college. for some reason i started feeling nostalgic of that time and wanted to check up on your blog and see how you’re doing! i fell so in love with your characters and the story you created. your blog really felt like a little “community” and i loved hearing about your writing process + the behind the scenes glimpses. wednesdays at noon became the highlight of my week..lol. but anyways i just wanted to let you know that i was thinking of you :)) i hope you are still writing because you have a true talent. love letters always felt like more than just a fan fiction and your passion showed!

hi!! sorry it took so long to answer this. i was, in fact, not active on this blog at all this summer. or, really, since may. and i did wipe that blog last november, so if anything's gone on over there, i haven't really seen it.

this was so sweet to read, however. i read it the first day that it came in and it made my day then, and it's made my day again now. funnily enough, writing that series also got me through my freshman year of college. and my sophomore year, and my junior year. i, honest to god, miss that community more than anything. i sometimes go through very brief, spasmodic phases where i think i want to pick it up again, but because of where i stand with the band now and also just purely moving onto projects that are quote-unquote more obtainable and suited to my current interests, writing style, and schedule, i know it's just my brain confusing wanting to write that specific work with wanting to have a place to talk with everybody about writing again. not necessarily that project, just anything in general.

i never took any ask i ever got for granted, and having so many people to talk to about something i loved so passionately definitely got me through my college years, which did turn out to be some of the hardest of my life! wednesdays at noon were also my favorite. i remember there would be wednesday nights where i'd check out of homework time, or writing time, or even like tv with friends/my family just so i could go answer the asks that'd piled in my askbox since posting. i would jokingly walk out of the room and say it was time to go upkeep with my correspondence.

so i hope you're doing well!! since setting the fic aside last year, i have since rewrote the first book in an orginal format, went through the drafting process, and walked away hating it, wrote a second unrelated book and Loved it (and still have the drafting process awaiting me once i figure out my future law school things), and i am now finally looping back around to turning it into something original again. i've sort of come to the realization that i can't really continue with any other book ideas i have until i get this one right and get it out of my mind, because i really do just love the story (or what's become of it) and the characters (or what's become of them) so much. i've become very, very busy as of late, but i'm still writing!! and i know i always will be in part because of how much having that blog showed me i could love it and could share my love for it.

Project Rosemary: An original story. Basically the world is riddled with monsters known as Sombrias and only people known as Illuminaires can defeat them. Our protagonist, Aziel, is an Illuminaire in training attending an academy specialized in training them, and together with his schoolmates, shenanigans ensues.

House of Abnormalities: ANOTHER original story. Where after a bunch of children got rescued from cultish child experiments, they were hidden from the rest of the world, being put into a secluded orphanage to live the rest of their lives in solitude. Haven't fully fleshed out but my 2 main sonas are in here so-

Song OC: Canon divergence rhythm games AU except idk what canon is and am just fucking around. It revolves around Song Gijinkas I made called Songs (I suck at naming lol). Technically the main AU is Phigr.Os Program, and is mainly about Phigros orginals, but since it's not just Phigros songs that has gijinkas, but also other games like Chunithm (and other games that had a collab with Phigros), I'll tag as this to generalize them.

Pokemon OC: Just a series of Pokemon Gijinkas I made over the years. I usually only come back to this tag every Pokeddexy so... don't expect much.

My friend has this painting in his home that depects Eve at the fall of Adam. A great peice in my opinion his wife is an artist and I always assumed she painted it; but there seems a bit of a story behind it along with how this painting has opened his mind to the idea aginst orginized religion and the LDS (Mormon) church in all.

This is his story:

Back in November, 2023, I wrote about the origins of my disdain for the LDS cult. What I never mentioned was the painting that kind of started this ball rolling. It is a painting of Eve, depicting the Fall of Adam from the Old Testament. Lindsay purchased the painting from her college friend, who painted it as a project. The panting is huge. It is about seven feet long. Eve is lying down, passed out, with an apple clutched in her hand and the serpent's tail just visible around her knee.

For those who don't know, according to myth, the Fall of Adam is essentially the catalyst for the beginning of the world. Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden for an unknown amount of time. They were naked and unashamed because they were innocent. God commanded that Adam and Eve may eat anything in the garden except for the fruit of the tree of knowledge, lest they be destroyed. The serpent Lucifer tempted Eve to eat the fruit, and she did. Because of that, she gained knowledge. She was able to convince Adam to eat the fruit. Suddenly they were aware of their nakedness and were ashamed. God came into the garden and saw that Adam and Eve were hiding their nakedness from him. He asked if they ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge, and they responded that they did. God was angered and cast them out of the Garden of Eden and punished them by making them toil in the dirt to and to suffer death.

When I was a believer, I loved the painting because it depicted the events that started everything. Without the Fall of Adam, we would never have the society we have now. Eve had to be tempted, and succumb to temptation before we could be born. Ironically, one of Eve's punishments was that childbirth would be painful for women. Thanks God!

This painting was the subject of some controversy in the ward we lived in while we were in Tacoma, WA. We used to hold scout meetings at my house regularly. One of the moms came to pick up her kid, and she saw the painting. She said nothing to me, but ratted me out to the bishop. He never saw the painting himself, but I was called in to discuss it. I had no idea going into his office. So I was blindsided. Like, why the hell are we talking about this painting being pornography?

The bishop went on to tell me that more than half of the elders in the ward suffered from pornography addiction. (ADHD sidetrack: I found out last night that the number 1 PornHub keyword search in Utah is "Mormon.") I told the bishop that other men's addictions are not my problem. He told me that either the painting comes down, or we don't hold scout meetings at my house anymore. I still held scout meetings at my house – we just conducted our business outside at the picnic table, or in the garage.

There was a sequence of events that happened afterward, but needless to say, I was really mad at the bishop for demanding that I remove our painting from our own house. And he never saw it prior to telling me to do so. He later recanted when he finally paid a visit some weeks later. He said that it wasn't something that he would hang in his house, but he didn't find anything offensive or pornographic about it.

The funny part is we'd have missionaries over regularly so we could feed them. But before dinner, we used to set up a couple of chairs in the living room. Lindsay and I would sit on our couch, just under the painting, and the missionaries would sit on the chairs, staring directly at the painting. Lindsay and I always found it kind of funny to watch the different reactions of some of the missionaries as they gazed up at Eve's nakedness. But I digress...

The closed-mindedness of our ward bishop, the anger of that awful squat mother and her holier than thou attitude towards us afterward, and the overall vibe I got from these people who were supposed to be inspired left a really bad taste in my mouth.

I loved that painting. The bishop tainted it with his dirty mind and accusations that Lindsay and I had pornography hung up in our house. Eve isn't pornography – Eve is art. She is beautiful art. She is painted in a unique style. The colors are beautiful, and the artist was very talented. Eve's proportions are a bit funky, but that's the artistic style of how the artist wanted to convey her. The damn thing should be in a gallery! But lucky for us, it has graced our houses throughout Lindsay's and my entire marriage.

But the bishop tainted it.

It took me a while, but I eventually stopped associating Eve for the awful imagery that the bishop dreamt up. I stopped feeling angry every time I staired at the painting. Eventually, I stopped thinking about that terrible experience entirely.

For years, I've deconstructed the Mormon Cult. For years, I've studied, researched, listened to podcasts, watched interviews, and drew further and further away from my inherited religion. Family trauma was a major influence in my walking away from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Bullshit. But I'll never forget that the bishop in my ward was a big part of the catalyst that got me questioning everything I believed – everything I blindly followed and would have happily continued to follow hadn't I been so enraged by his words.

In all the years, I still continued to love this painting. I stopped believing in the fairy tale about it and accepted it as just that – a fairy tale. And then I started to understand that horrible nature of the lesson in this story. Do what you're told and God will love you. Disobey and God will punish you out of spite. He will claim he does it because he loves you, and without him, you are nothing.

Lindsay and I were having a conversation last week about this painting. It still adorns the wall in our home. I told her that I still love this painting, but I don't know why. I don't believe in the fairy tale that it represents, and I certainly don't believe in the God depicted in the Bible. So why do I not tear it down and burn it in my burn barrel?

Lindsay told me that perhaps I look at it differently now. Perhaps it represents the start of my religious deconstruction, and because I am free from the clutches of that evil cult, I'm happy and feel content. Some may call that joy. But to the believers in the cult of Jesus Christ, they do not think I am capable of experiencing joy because that is a feeling reserved for those who intentionally seek Christ, or God, or some other religious bullshit. (side note: that's kind of a shitty thing to believe... you should evaluate your belief system if you think that I'm incapable of experiencing joy just because I don't believe in your backward superstitions).

So, Eve represents the beginning of my march to freedom. Freedom from religion, freedom from gaslighting, guilt, and shame; freedom from being extorted 10% of my pay to prop of a fake god, freedom from being coerced into doing things I'd rather not do, and eventually freedom from my father, who in the end killed our relationship with this fucking religion.

Ironic that a painting that was meant to depict the beginning of all Christianity now means the beginning of my quest for the truth about the cult I was born into and my separation from it.

What’s this? A new post in less than a week?

Ah, well I have lots on my mind! There have been a lot of progress for Journey of the Phoenix from designs to story. Deciding what to share and what not to, after all I wouldn’t want to spoil to much.

But I decided a good alternative was to just generally talk about thing that may or may not be included. General information about some of the changes made to the story. For retelling sake.

1. Aphmau(mcd character) will go by a different name. To better fit the world and story. We decided to go with Sylvana. For those who don’t know, it’s the name for her mom in my street. However for Dairies we have given it to Aphmau.

2.While at the time there are no characters being purposefully taken out. There will be side stories that may be cut, as they don’t progress the story in a way that makes sense.

3.At the moment they’re are no confirmed or denied relationship within Journey of the Phoenix. So any artwork between two or more characters is completely up to interpretation.

4.This is a RE-telling, it doesn’t directly involve or correlate with Jess in her team at all. This is a fun project me and a few close friend have decided to put together.

5.Lastly inspiration credits and base credits of course go to Aphmau on YouTube. However besides those basic credits. Everything else is completely orginal based on my own interpretation.

6.All artwork so far is done solely by me, if it is not I will tag said artist.

7.While I plan to post once a week, there will be times were a post more frequently. This is based on how much content or information I have to share.

Eventually I will make a master post with links to posts like this. I also plan to post a Q&A soon.

Hey, again. Last night another peice came into my mind regarding human genetic material, blood purity and racism. There is a lot of evidence that points to the orgins of modern human consciousness evolving in Africa. Those originating from this area typically have the highest melanin expression of anyone. A lot of this evidence and history has been intentionally destroyed and white washed. Egyptian library being destroyed, scuplters with African features being destroyed, Jesus being white washed, and Budda being depicted with stretched earlobes and bantu knots, which are Africa traditions. So why do belief systems like nazism consider humans who retained higher levels of melanin expression to be the least pure?

I met an interesting woman the other day. Without getting into all the details of our conversation, she shared with me that when she recognizes a demon she sees their hair turn blonde. I don't believe all blondes are demons, thats ridiculous lol. There are many factors at play but I believe there is real significance to what she shared with me, I can't stop thinking about it, and wondering how I could decipher what she is seeing.

If I understand you correctly, you are asking, " Why (when given scientific evidence to suggest that humans originated from Africa, as evidenced in Human Genome Project, that would disprove science stating otherwise) groups continue to embrace ideas found in Nazism and continue to maintain a belief in the possibility and advancement of “racial purity”. 

My answer is there is probably not one reason but many.  Because white-supremist groups that influence Nazism were birthed out of a culture that already held the belief in the supremacy of “white-ness”, the groups did not suddenly become “white-supremist” because of “science” that started with the assumptions of supremacy and then looked for reasons to back their claim, and they are not going to change with the discovery of better science.

For those whose only reason for joining a group was the “science”, maybe the new evidence has changed their mind, but the groups were formed to garner power and influence, and the beliefs of the groups were not formed to prove anything rationally.  The beliefs give the members of those groups meaning.  For some it could mean a sense of power to meet a feeling of powerlessness.  For some they connect with a sense of identity or destiny and purpose, whether an identity formed from birth or an identity adopted when their brains were searching for a way to navigate their world.  For some they might connect with a sense of belonging.  For some they offer an explanation or relieve a feeling of chaos or fear related to the changes.  For some they had spiritual meaning. For some they satisfied a desire for revenge regarding a feeling of offense.  

It would seem that white-supremist groups build on white supremist beliefs that already exist within a person and then add then add details that connect to those other points of connection.  In this way, others become the scapegoats for unresolved feelings, and thoughts and actions toward “purifying” whiteness maintain a sense of “calm” within one’s brain.  At the same time critical thinking is limited within the group through the use of control tactics and propaganda.  

Changing beliefs often requires an openness to think critically, ask questions, to challenge and investigate beliefs.  Because the leaders of these groups are able to exploit the resources from those who follow their beliefs, it is not in their best interest to promote questioning or descent.  If however, one’s beliefs are challenged through other areas where they have found connects, cognitive dissonance may occur in such a way that someone is able to embrace a different belief, and an individual may be motivated to consider a different way of thinking.  At this point, if an individual may be willing to embrace science that informed a different belief.

Below I have included several links that discuss some of the white supremicist and nationalistic thoughts that were embraced by the Nazi Party and some of the ideas that continue to be embraced by Neo-Nazis, Volkish and other white-supremicist groups today.  Likely not all groups or members of groups believe every belief, and I have not included every possible nuance of every belief held by these groups.

Headcanons and such || Accepting!

💝 A headcanon about their love language

Lena doesn't have one specific love language, but she responds most consistently to acts of service. Living such a busy life - and with Emily living such a busy life as well - time together and physical touch are nice, but often difficult to get. Lena suffices with acts of service as a good receiving love language, where Emily might prep her uniform or prepare her dinner. In response, Lena's expressive love language is absolutely gift giving.

This is multifaceted. She gives gifts to everyone she loves, Byan, Cole, Emily, Jack, Angela, etc. Often times they're little knick knacks picked up during her travel - Byan might get a little figurine of the Effiel tower, maybe, or maybe a scrap of some fancy soft fabric from abroad. These little gifts are important to her to pick up while she's travelling, because that's how she shows love to those around her.

💔 An angsty headcanon

Not aging seems like a superpower orginally, that she would live forever in a 26 year old body. Sure, there's some aches and pains, but otherwise she's very healthy. But at the same time, perpetual life means denial. It means watching her friends and family get old, get sick, die. Holding Emily, with her ginger hair turned grey, as she takes her last breath. It means that it's Lena, standing, at the end of everything, the heat death of the world.

There are some ways to potentially mitigate this, but's almost impossible. When Lena does eventually leave Earth, she believes that her conscious will be reassumed back to the spaces between time, into the cosmic balance of the universe. Maybe she'll become the next Time, who knows. Her time on this world is an unlimited, wretched clock, ticking down the destruction of everything she holds dear.

📓 A headcanon about their hobbies

Wow that one was kinda dark, huh?! Here's this one instead - Lena really enjoys art. She has since she was a kid. Oil paints are her favorite, but most of her projects start off as a sketch before it gets the privilege of being bumped up to oil painting. These are mostly for her big projects, with sketchbooks filled with painted and half-painted projects.

She finds the process very stabilizing, settling into each brush stroke, usually to the sound of loud music. It's one of the few times she can sit still, limbs finally slowing to a melodic dance against the page/canvas. For people she loves dearly, she'll paint something and gift it to them for a holiday.

It also means she doodles and graffities all over everything. Once, she and Genji spray painted a dick into the hair of the gaudy SC Morrison statue just because they could. Good luck finding a napkin not covered in ink.

😬 A headcanon about the worst thing they’ve done

There's a lot of ways I could take this, but the heat death of the universe already took the mood way down.

Once, Lena loosened the bolts on a balance beam before a gymnastics competition to try and beat the Head Bitch who had always been cruel toward her. It was successful - the beam broke, and the girl ended up breaking her tibia. She recovered okay, but Lena's always felt very guilty about that one.
