I watch from the edges of eternity,
a silent witness to your stumbling steps,
your heart full of questions
as you navigate the labyrinth
of your uncharted existence.

lovesick,
couldn’t help thinking of what it was like to love you.
even if i did alone to pass by,
the world ended consuming the mind.
yet, it all faded cause of you.
sick with love,
so ill that i ache.
if only these things worked.

Chocolate and Roses
Let me get at you like chocolate and roses with this poetry,
Keeping it old school when it comes to sweeping you off your feet.
Outdated, but it’s the purest thing to me.
Nowadays, that’s something you don’t see, but that doesn’t mean
There isn’t someone out there looking for that to receive.
I’d rather live within my means.
Why pretend to be someone who, in due time, through you’ll see?
Not trying to hide behind money and jewelry,
Expensive dinner dates, and every weekend new scenery.
'Cause I’m aiming for a lasting impression, not just the first-time impression.
A lasting connection, that when they speak of love, our relationship will be mentioned.

The land shouldn't stay stagnant,
Every part of the earth needs room to move, to grow, to breathe.
Here we can never walk the same path as before,
Here the wind erases any lines you draw in the sand.
So none of this will be the same again.
The land will restore itself, The songs we sing releasing into the wind,
Your worries swept out to the sea.
There are specks of sand left in our souls.
So I will never be the same again,
The world now holds new meaning.

“I know, you never intended to be in this world. But you're in it all the same.
So why not get started immediately. I mean, belonging to it.
There is so much to admire, to weep over. And to write music or poems about.”

Oregon Winter
Jeanne McGahey
The rain begins. This is no summer rain,
Dropping the blotches of wet on the dusty road:
This rain is slow, without thunder or hurry:
There is plenty of time – there will be months of rain.
Lost in the hills, the old gray farmhouses
Hump their backs against it, and smoke from their chimneys
Struggles through weighted air. The sky is sodden with water,
It sags against the hills, and the wild geese,
Wedge-flying, brush the heaviest cloud with their wings.
The farmers moved unhurried. The wood is in,
The hay has long been in, the barn lofts piled
Up to the high windows, dripping yellow straws.
There will be plenty of time now, time that will smell of fires,
And drying leather, and catalogues, and apple cores.
The farmers clean their boots, and whittle, and drowse.
"Reflections on a Gift of Watermelon Pickle... And Other Modern Verse" - compiled by Stephen Dunning, Edward Lueders, and Hugh Smith

Welcome to My Heart & Mind
This collection offers an intimate glimpse into the very essence of my heart and mind. It’s not categorized in any specific order but flows sporadically, much like life itself. Through poetry, quotes, and thoughts, I invite you to journey with me through the unpredictable and beautiful moments that shape our lives.
In these pages, you’ll find reflections on love, loss, joy, and sorrow—each piece a fragment of my experiences and emotions. Some days, the words came easily, flowing like a gentle stream. Other days, they were harder to capture, like trying to hold onto a fleeting dream. But in every moment, there is a truth, a lesson, or a glimpse of beauty waiting to be discovered.
As you read, I hope you find a connection to your own journey. May these words inspire you to embrace the unpredictability of life, to find beauty in the small moments, and to cherish the depth of your own heart and mind. This collection is a testament to the power of authenticity and the beauty of genuine connections.
Thank you for allowing me to share this part of myself with you. Let’s embark on this journey together, one page at a time.
