New AK ask. What region (Columbia, Sargon, Kazdel, etc) do you want to learn more about the most? Who do you think we should be following in an event that explores it?

Ooh this is a neat one, yeah. Let's start with considering those 3 first as there's certainly things to say there.

Columbia - We still have Lonetrail yet to drop and any further storyline following that for the Rhine Lab arc, plus there's now the upcoming Blacksteel Worldwide event Come Catastrophes or Wakes of Vultures to give us further exploration.

I want them to free Domma from NPC jail but that might require a Mountain Alter-worthy event :/ Orchid, Frostleaf or Vigna might have more potential there.

Sargon - We have the Acahualla storyline that may get a third event, and now Reclamation Algorithm: Fire Within the Sand has provided an expansion of the Sand Soldier/Old Isin section of Walk in the Dust story. Manticore gets some story time from that one too, which was nice to see.

A look at Beeswax getting to do her own thing more confidently might be fun, but then personally I'd be more down for something following adorably-precious Estelle who has been given snippets so far of her getting through her anxieties and dealing with that 'being seen as a battle goddess' moment. That IS2 mapping with the Archosauria trio was perfect, we need more.

Kazdel - This would be interesting since they only ever showcased it as cold, snow-covered ruins until that one scene in Episode 11 of the capital that repeatedly got destroyed and rebuilt. Most of the related cast are major players of the main story Act 2, whether as NPCs unlikely to join or Operators resolving certain threads and fates.

(Playable Closure is so close yet just out of reach...) Hoederer might be a good solo event candidate as a What the F... style interlude if we regroup with him in Episode 13. Or hey, Meteorite Alter please? She needs something after the whole 'traumatised by autopilot!Specter fighting' gag and her story with Firewatch... W Alter could be an Episode-related moment if that has any possibility.

Sami is going to be covered by IS4 and its coinciding vignette event for Typhon, Skógrinn Svartr Vill Einn Draumr. Aegir will likely be explored through the next installment of the Abyssal Hunters storyline.

We need events for Durin, Higashi, Rim Billiton and Minos for further explorations/catching up to other locales.

Seeing Croque and Deculture again would be great but not anything new Durin-wise so maybe we could have sleepyhead Durin visiting elsewhere. We don't particularly need a Myrtle Alter unless she's gonna be the Ultra-Super Flagbearer to show up Saileach...

So far Higashi has effectively been vaguely explained as doing their own thing and one additional loadscreen lore tidbit established how they curbstomped Ursus trying to invade. The recent Leaves Chasing Fire/A Flurry to the Flame Monster Hunter collab featured a rather isolated mountain village, as MonHun is wont to do. My picks for a lead would be: Matoimaru, Tsukinogi and Utage. Overlooked launch unit, niche Supporter, and cute gyaru needs justice for that damn module 'Talent'.

For a Rim Billiton event it could center on April and/or Savage; Ansel; Asbestos on her solo travels. Getting to the bottom of either the incident in Kroos the Keen Glint's past or Popukar's Lumberyard would be neat too.

And Minos - Sideroca or Perfumer Lena, I'd like. They need some appreciation. Rather little to work with compared to others, so yeah we really need some kind of story there.

Avalician Calendar

So doing Milla's file i began to ask myself " gee whats the Calendar for Avalice like " as i considered dates. And my DM brain started running in over drive and i sort of came up with this. I think this makes alot of sense! so ill probably refer to it in the future!

First, the Year! Trying to work this out seems impossible to determine. We don't know what the current year in game is but i worked an easy way to determine this for myself. The creation of the kingdom stone was the start of a new Era for the 3 kingdoms and the Kingdom Stone became a central part of there lives. Yet its destruction marked a new Era of technological advancement. So i worked out the following.

Era of the Kingdom Stone or EKS Era After the Kingdom Stone or EAKS or just AKS for short.

Much like in our modern era, with the destruction of there central icon of practical worship. They started the calendar over, resetting its value and going from 1. Thus we are in year 3 AKS going into year 4, which is an easy way to handle this for myself at least.

The Months of the Year

Figuring the months out i simply went to the lunar calendar. Originally i was going to use year of the rat, or bull ect as the months but since its a world of anthropomorphic animals that felt weird so instead i used an older calendar!

1: 陬月 Zōuyuè  Month of the Pegasus(Constellation) 2: 杏月 Xìngyuè Month of the Apricot 3: 桃月 Táoyuè Month of the Peach 4: 梅月 Méiyuè Month of the Plum 5: 榴月 Liúyuè Month of the Pomegranate 6: 荷月 Héyuè Month of the Lotus 7: 蘭月 Lányuè Month of the Orchid 8: 桂月 Guìyuè Month of the Osmanthus 9: 菊月 Júyuè Month of the Chrysanthemum 10: 露月 Lùyuè Month of Dew 11:  葭月 Jiāyuè Month of the Reed 12: 冰月 Bīngyuè Month of Frost(Ice/Winter)

So this is the 12 months, from the Phenological calendar which is very much ingrained in plants. Now month 1 and 12 are outliers maybe i'll change those later but for now i'll leave them.

The Days of the Week

Sunday= 星期日 Xīngqīrì Monday= 星期一 Xīngqīyī Tuesday= 星期二 Xīngqīèr Wednesday= 星期三 Xīngqīsān Thursday= 星期四 Xīngqīsì Friday= 星期五 Xīngqīwǔ Saturday=星期六 Xīngqīliù

This is the only days of the week i could find, without getting into super complex 10 day week cycles, that was to much for my brain to handle! this also keeps the 12 months and 7 days we have in the real world making dates much easier to figure out.

So as an example... today is Xīngqīsān the 28th of Bīngyuè in the 3rd year AKD

Anyway =D now i can effectively figure what day and year it is in Avalice! for any future threads! is this way to much info? probably but its how my brain works! enjoy!

Defender: Matterhorn my man. Nearl is so cool too I really like her. I ended up liking Hung as well he's a nice guy. Also including Noir here because I really like his mask

I have yet to try Qanipalaat but I do like his design a lot. Haze is a fun character to me we could be friends too. Indigo is also nice

Medic: Silence is actually pretty cool. Perfurmer is fine but I do like Chestnut a lot. I feel like I'm gonna like Lumen a lot btw

Supporter: Gnosis on top for sure. I want Stainless so badly though still mad I didnt get him. Orchid is cool I always liked her. Glaucus seems nice too and I do like me some Pramanix

Bilang isang salitang Ilokano na nangangahulugang "nahulog", ang mga kuwento ng Nacatnagan ay nagsasabi na noong unang panahon, dalawang kalabaw (mga kalabaw ng tubig sa Pilipinas) ang umakyat sa bundok at nahulog sa bangin. Ang bangin ay may hindi nagagalaw na kagubatan na puno ng mga ligaw na hayop, mga ligaw na orchid at mga bihirang pako sa kahabaan ng madulas at matarik na mga slopes nito.

Ang Bangui Wind Farm ay isang wind farm sa Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Pilipinas. Gumagamit ang wind farm ng 20 unit ng 70-meter (230 ft) high Vestas V82 1.65 MW wind turbine, na nakaayos sa isang hanay na umaabot sa 9-kilometro (5.6 mi) na baybayin mula sa Bangui Bay, na nakaharap sa South China Sea.

Hal itu terungkap dalam silaturahmi pejabat STIKOM Bali Group dengan para orang tua dan mahasiswa penerima beasiswa KIP Kuliah dan beasiswa langsung dari STIKOM Bali Group di Duta Orchid Garden Denpasar Timur, Senin (11/12/23) siang. Prof. Made Bandem yang juga mantan Rektor ISI Denpasar dan ISI Yogyakarta itu mengatakan sudah mengenal betul sosok Dadang Hermawan sejak tahun 2001 ketika Prof. Bandem, Dadang Hermawan, Ida Bagus Dharnadiaksa dan Satrya Dharma mendirikan Yayasan Widya Dharma Shanti (WDS) Denpasar. Menurut Dharmadiaksa, mendukung Dadang Hermawan ke DPR RI ibaratnya melepas kail besar untuk mendapatkan ikan yang lebih banyak. "Hanya sebagai Rektor STIKOM Bali saja dia telah berbuat begitu banyak untuk masyarakat Bali dan Indonesia, apalagi dia nanti anggota DPR duduk di Komisi X," ucapnya. Dharmadiaksa juga menepis isu di luar yang menyebut kalau Dadang Hermawan menjadi anggota DPR RI maka beasiswa KIP kuliah di ITB STIKOM Bali akan dihentikan. "Itu isu tidak benar. Justru kalau beliau jadi anggota DPR RI maka beasiswa KIP Kuliah akan ditingkatkan dan yang diuntungkan adalah masyarakat Bali dan Indonesia," jawab Dharmadiaksa menepis itu tadi. New Podcast “Bad Seeds” Investigates Black Market For Endangered Species

School of Humans and iHeart Podcasts have announced a new podcast, Bad Seeds. And no, it's not about the seeds for your garden. It's much more insidious.

The phrase “black market” evokes sinister images: Stacks of AK-47s. Crates of cocaine. Caged tigers. But potted succulents on a windowsill? No one is calling Crime Stoppers for that. And yet, the biggest black market you’ve never heard of is blooming right under your nose. Whether it’s a 4,000-pound cactus shoveled from the Arizona desert or delicate orchids pinched from the tangled jungle of Peru, rare plants are at the center of a rapidly growing -- and lucrative -- world of crime. 

The eight-part series begins with a special Earth Month launch on April 12 with two episodes. From Mexican drug cartels cashing in by ripping succulents from the desert, or a cabal of corrupt government officials secretly peddling endangered species, Bad Seeds looks into an underworld where obsessive collectors and hardened criminals collide. Along the way, we explore how all these crime sprees and cover-ups affect everyday consumers and enthusiasts -- and the fate of the planet. Model and sustainability activist Summer Rayne Oakes was stunned when a Modern Farmer feature on her prodigiously verdant Brooklyn apartment went viral in 2016. She catapulted into the forefront of a houseplant trend that peaked during the Covid pandemic. Little did she know that her popular unboxing videos and fame would inadvertently lead some obsessed consumers and suppliers to collect plants through nefarious means to fuel the growing plant obsession. After years of advocacy in the sustainable fashion and food industries, Oakes urges consumers to take a closer look at how the succulents and orchids adorning homes and Instagram videos are sourced. “To be honest, I feel a level of responsibility,” Oakes says today. “One of the reasons that drew me to host this podcast was to help folks understand the underreported nature of unethical plant harvesting, the detrimental ramifications it can have on the environment, and how we can be more aware of what to look out for.” In Bad Seeds, Oakes talks to the buyers, the sellers, the obsessives, and those who came face-to-face with the criminals behind an underworld few know exist. The podcast features interviews with avid plant collectors, US Fish and Wildlife Special Agents, scientists, and historians who show us that the passion for plants has been going on for a long time - from tulip mania in the Netherlands to the poacher who derailed Brazil's entire economy at the height of the Industrial Revolution. Ang Surigao City ay sikat na kilala bilang City of Island Adventures at itinuturing na isang kanlungan ng paglilibang at pakikipagsapalaran dahil mayroon itong 17 malalawak na isla na may mahabang kahabaan ng malinis na puting buhangin na dalampasigan, mystical caves, malawak na mangrove forest at mga tanawin sa ilalim ng tubig. Maaari mo ring bisitahin ang pinakamagandang lugar sa Surigao tulad ng sa enchanted river .Isa sa mga kakaibang katangian ng enchanted river ay ang hindi maarok na lalim nito. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit maraming turista ang lumalangoy sa mababaw na bahagi ng enchanted river area na may lilim ng tubig mula sa aquamarine hanggang sa asul. Ang madilim na asul na kulay sa ilog ay nangangahulugan lamang na ang tubig ay napakalalim. Ang mystical site na ito na minarkahan ng kumikinang at malinaw na asul na tubig nito, na napapalibutan ng makapal na gubat, baging, at orchid, ay naging isa sa mga pangunahing destinasyon ng turista ng lalawigan.
