Best Florida Communities for Young Families

When you think about people living in Florida, the first group that comes to mind is probably retirees, right? But that's not necessarily true. As you would probably agree, you don't have to be old to enjoy everything that the Sunshine State offers. Young families can't resist Florida's nice weather, affordable real estate, safe communities, top-notch healthcare, and 1,300 miles of coastline, either. The education is pretty great as well and, of course, there is always something to do on those free weekends. What more can you ask for your family? Well, you can also ask for a lovely community where your family will settle and grow. Do not worry - Florida is full of those! Thus, without further ado, here are the best Florida communities for young families.
Cooper City
Perhaps one of the best Florida communities for young families is Cooper City or the so-called 'Someplace Special'. More than 50% of people living in this city are families with young children. They live in family-friendly communities around the city and simply don't complain about anything. Quite the contrary - they praise the city and especially its relationship with school-aged children. Namely, almost all children here have a high school degree, and most of them have a university diploma. This means that schools and universities in Cooper City know what they are doing. However, this city and its communities are not all about schools - there is plenty of room for fun too! Here, you and your little ones can enjoy a ton of indoor and outdoor spaces such as parks, playgrounds, malls, pools, etc.

Rockledge
The small city of Rockledge is also one of the best Florida communities for young families. Like the previously mentioned city (Cooper City), Rockledge also has an earnest approach to education. We can see that by the number of students who are high achievers. However, what makes this city different from the other one is affordability. In fact, Rockledge is as affordable as a city can be. All the prices of family homes are lower than the national average, and only about 20% of family income is spent on housing.
So, if this is something you want, better hurry up! More and more young families with children are discovering Rockledge. Thus, there are fewer and fewer single-family homes on the market. Moreover, if you do decide to move to Rockledge with your family, you have to be supportive and understanding. Do not let the 'fast' real estate market dissociate you from your little ones, even for a little while. Doing that will cause you problems. Instead, focus on your kids, and leave everything else to your real estate and your moving company.
Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale is one of those cities that retirees love. But, do not let that stop you and your family from settling here. The older demographic only proves that this city and its communities are safe, friendly, and full of activities. For instance, if your family loves water, you can go to the beach every day. And, if your family loves spending time in nature, you can go to one of many parks and trails.
Moreover, Fort Lauderdale's communities are full of different real estate options, most family-friendly and affordable. And, when it comes to parents and their needs, they will all be glad to hear that this city has a bustling economy and a constant need for educated and skilled workers. So, if you are on a job hunt, you know where you can find one - in Fort Lauderdale.

Port Orange
Not a lot of 'outsiders' know about this relatively small city. Even though this city is located just minutes outside the famous Daytona Beach, it is not very popular among tourists and newcomers. But let that be a plus. Port Orange is a great place to live if you don't like crowds and busy areas' hustles and bustles. Here, life is slow and peaceful. You will not see people running around and losing their heads, no. You will see neighbors drinking coffee, children playing on the sidewalks, and the elderly planting flowers. And, when you get tired of slow living, or when your kids need to burn that energy, you can always go to the ocean, to NASCAR, or the Dinosaur Park nearby.
Just as we previously mentioned, Port Orange is not too popular. This means that securing an affordable home is easy - provided you hire a good real estate agent. This is even more important if you're moving long-distance.
If that's the case, you will also need somebody to help you with relocation so you can ensure a pleasant moving experience for your children and yourself. So, before you start planning your relocation, google away! Thorough research will help you find assistance with ease and give you peace of mind knowing that you've got reputable professionals in your corner.

Miami Lakes
The last on our list of Florida communities for young families is the city of Miami Lakes. This place has it all - a good education system, affordable real estate, low cost of living, great outdoor areas, etc. Without a doubt, you and your family will love it here. So, start looking for some serious sellers and buy that family home in Miami Lakes; you will not regret it. The thing that will surprise you the most is how families and neighbors in this city's communities stick together. If you do move here, you will soon see neighbors coming to help you unload the moving truck and offering to keep your kids entertained while you unpack.
We hope we have helped you find one of the best Florida communities for young families. Or, at least, we hope we helped you narrow down your search. As you have seen, each city and each city's community are different. So, choose one that suits your and your family's needs the most.
