Leon intellectualizing me mes just comes with the man. It'll go straight over his head and the interrogation will start. It's not to prove his point, but like you said, he's unnecessarily philosophical.
..ngl 🥺 I am too. It's the dance between rubbing my forehead and walking away or over-analyzing with him. 🤡
~~~~~~ incoming rant ~~~
"I made it everyone's problem" ahhhh 🤣🤣🤣 good work solider. Lmao I love that.
That's the thing there was never a point to them! They barely did their jobs and they kept fucking over groot, grouch, gruis, whatever the hell his name is. They're not even useful henchmen. They couldn't even do the one job they had ➡️ ELECTRIC CHAIR!
*clears throat and fixes hair*
Sorry for the rant. I genuinely despise the minions and think they dealt a hand in the extinction of humanity. I've seen the original concept art, BUT that's not what we got. Whoever dealt out a soulless, lazy, bootleg version deserves the smite of every horrific eldritch god.
~~~back to Leon ✨️🥚~~~~~~
You know when he reads it he's gunna squint and then pull out his readers (that sit on his nose cuz he's cool like that 😎).
Omg!! Say it louder for those in the back because they really love depicting Leon like a suave, charming, mysterious, badass. As much I eat that shit up. He is a badass but bb he's goofy, awkward, and believes he's a cool kid.
"Where did everyone go? BiNGo?" 🥴
"I’m sure you boys didn’t just tag along so we can sing kumbaya together at some boy scout bonfire." 🙃 Leon, get out. You're walking the rest of the way.
Ashley deserves more credit after surviving a murderous cult AND Leon's one liners. I know I would've accidentally hurt his feelings by the 6th one liner.
I over analyse stuff too much and it’s grown into a game of ‘is it something deep? Or am I just trying to find something that wasn’t there in the first place?’
Mate, Leon was saving that ‘where did everybody going? Bingo?’ One line in his back pocket and he found the opportunity in the WEIRDEST way possible.
Which leads me to think that Leon has shit comedic timing.
Plus his one liners only hit with those who like that type of shit. (guilty as charged.)
Tbh I’d let him speak his one liners, tell him out of pity that they’re good whilst dying inside from how bad they are. (cuz I have the backbone of a chocolate eclair. What a twat.)
I’d only be encouraging this behaviour of his and for that I must apologise…for making everyone else suffer alongside me. ❤️
-extremely short rant-
The minions were only there to be made into toys for kids and comedic effect with their running gags of fart gun/bananas and literally nothing else.
-rant over-
Leon be like;
Tumblr media
Ashley is the bravest solider cuz I wouldn’t be able to do it. Not a chance. I’d crack and be like to the weird cult ‘kill me now thnx.’
Leon: *after cutting off an arm of a villager* looks like you’ve been disarmed 😎

Minecraft pt. 1 (Sykkuno x F!Reader)
Oneshot (maybe part of a series??? idk we’ll see): Even though you’ve never played minecraft, you still manage to build a great house with your basement buddy. Friendship with a hint of romance. This is season 1 of the OTV ftb server (Pre-relationship; part of Uh-oh & Impasta)
“Ok guys, so today’s stream is going to be a lil different” You chat to your stream “We are going to be playing Minecraft with the OTV gang and other people we’ve played among us with!” Waiting for Minecraft to load on your pc, you continued on chatting “We will be playing GTA later on in the stream, we have a few jobs lined up with some people, so hopefully we get a lot of money from that”
You minimized your face cam into a corner as your character appeared in a random spawn area near quite a few people. You saw multiple boxy players run around and hitting each other. So, you walked around picking up flowers  and with the help of some members of your chat, you managed to collect wood.
“OH! HEY Y/N!!” A loud crunchy voice yelled terribly into your ear causing you to cringe visible and immediately start hitting them with the wood in your hand.
“Your mic is dank man” You continue hitting them, which turned out to be Leslie and she starts to hit you back with a laugh. You guess her flowered hand overpowered your wood and hungry state, because you died and respawned to where you first showed up.
“Ah fuck” You complained before another boxy figure showed up infront of you and you recognized the blue shirt and green striped scarf, so you cheered. “Sykkuno!”
“Hey, Y/N!” His character moved his head up and down “What happened? How did you die?”
“Leslie’s mike was..crunchy?? And then she killed me!” You jump around
Sykkuno laughs “What? I’m surprised mobs havent got you. I’ve been killed many times by them” and in comedic fashion poki ran by screaming for help as she was being chased by a giant spider. You both watched as she would turn and hit it before continuing on her run.
It killed her. She puffed into smoke and in her place was a grave.
You both laugh as Sykkuno gasps out her name and you both run to her grave.
“Is this part of the mod? Or is it part of minecraft” You ask crouching on her grave and read her name.
He jumped around you with an answer “ Uh no it’s a mod that abe put in. If you break it the stuff you died with will spawn out”
“Oh” Continuing the crouch and uncrouch “What now?”
“Well i was going to find some of my graves, but I’m gunna find wood to make tools and find food” He answered and with that you decided to follow him
You collect the fruit from the near by trees and kill some of the animals with an axe that Sykkuno made you. Along the way you collected flowers and wood.
“We should find a house before it gets dark and more mobs come and kill us” Sykkuno walks to you then throws a stack of wood on the floor “Or maybe you build us a house. I’m not good at that type of thing”
You stare into your cam and do the debbie ryan “Oh my god, living together?” You pick up the stack of wood and start building a small house “Is that good?”
“Ya, that’s great! I’ll put the door down and I got us some beds, so we now have a spawn point. So when we die we just end up here” He explains doing so
Nodding along to what he said, you start putting the flowers you collected around the house before entering the house. He put the beds down next to each other. Making sure to mute yourself, you do the finger point and with a ‘tch’ sound you smile “ Oh my God Chat! Our beds are next to each other !?! How crazy. Heehee”
The house was lit up with torches. “Click on the bed” He tells you and you do so. Your characters laid there side by side and your chat was hearing you make embarrassing noises. “Chat better not be telling him how embarrassing I’m being please. This is a desparate plea for you guys not to tell him!! Like Im joking guys please” With a laugh, your character gets off the bed and you walk out.
“Oh!” In Sykkuno’s hand was a flower “I noticed you picking up flowers and I know that [Flower/Name] is your favorite, so i picked some up for you”
You can’t stop the smile that appears on your face nor the flush on your cheeks “You are so fucking cute”
“Wha-?” You interrupt him “This is so sweet, honestly Sy.”
He throws them on the ground “It’s no problem. Just saw them and remembered how much you liked them “ and you pick them up, putting them at the entrance of the door “I love it!!! Thank You Sykkuno!!”
He hums and jumps around. You check chat, when a donation comes in telling you to check it, and read that he was purposefully was looking for the flowers because he knows how much you would’ve loved them. You don’t believe them at first, telling them that while he is nice, going around looking for a flower doesn’t seem like a productive thing to do. So, someone from your chat sent a clip of him telling his viewers that he was looking for your favorite flower to give to you. His excuse was that this as your first time playing minecraft, so he wanted you to enjoy it and thought it would be a great present until he can find diamonds.
“Guys! No!! That is so sweet!” You cry out blushing even further
“Hey guys!” A voice called out. A voice you immediately recognized to be Liliy’s “Come look at my house!” Looking up you see her stood further up from the both of you. She started making her way down and gasped “Are those [F/N]!?! Where did you find these! The look so pretty!”
“Yea” You jumping once more “Aren’t they cool?”
“YES! Can I have one?” She asked standing next to them “Is this your house? I love the flowers around them”
“I guess this is where we live now” You respond
“Both?” Lily questioned “You and Sykkuno are living together!?!”
“Yea! He actually gave me the [F/N]s, so you can’t..have them..” You respond to her awkwardly
Lily turns to Sykkuno and hits his character “You fucking simp”
He gasps “Lily” but she ignores him “I’ll take a different flower as a housewarming gift. Now follow me!”
“Y/N, why don’t you go see it while I gather up more materials” Sykkuno told you
You follow her up the small mountain? And there laid her pink house and you gasped “There is pink wood!?!”
“Yea, you just need pink dye. I have a bunch left if you want some” She offered you
“I don’t know if Sykkuno would want to live in a pink house” You enter her house and notice chests and peak into them
“He’d want what you want so just go for it.” She places the flower she took from your house next to hers. “Those chests belong to other people, but here’s mine.” She hits the chest in her house “I think i have like 20 of the pink wood left, so you can just take the rest”
You took the stack from her chest “Awesome! Your house is nice! It’s big too! I’d have to remake our house into something bigger”
“Yea, it’s kinda ugly since it isn’t pink” She tells you causing you to laugh
“It was a last minute thing to hid in during the night” Holding the pink wood in your hand “I’ll probably look up some building tips and stuff later to make a cool place, but thanks Lily!”
You hung out in her house talking with people as they came and went as Lily went to find more flowers to surround her house in. Though someone interesting came in, wearing the generic steve skin with a slightly creepy face.
“Hey Miyoung!” Lily called from out her house
“Hi Lily” She responded “I’m just letting you know I’m putting a death trap in your home. Please don’t tell the victims”
You snorted in amusement “Can I help with that?”
She moves towards you in her crouched state, so you respond in kind. You both just stared at each other in your crouched position circling each other “Okay, so I have a bucket of oil, so I want to dig a hole in the ground and push people into it”
Nodding your head “Clean, my chat was telling me that there is a trapped door, so why not put one on the ground above it and just have people walk in it?”
“We should also put a sign down there, so as they’re slowly sinking to their death, there’ll be a sign that mocks them” Nodding her characters head “I have some signs already, I’ll make the trapped door”
Taking a shovel from your hotbar, you dig a hole 6 blocks down, digging the other side as you make your way down. You then walk to the other side and start to make your way up.
“You should leave an open space for the sign, maybe 2 blocks open?” Miyoung tells you as she eyes you from above. You jump out of the hole you created and shovel 2 dirt blocks. She places a sign down and covers it up with a wood plank that matches the floor of Lily’s house “Wait I need to put the oil down”
So, she breaks the floor once more and jumps in to put the oil in before making her way back up. “I just put RIP on the sign, I think it’ll help them realize that they will die, so..”
“Alright clean clean” You jump around and watch as she places a trap door on the floor above it and placing a sign in front of it.
“We should probably look for victims” Miyoung tells you
You make your character swing their arm around towards the chests in Lily’s home “Well people have stuff in here, so maybe we should wait for someone to come in to grab something and lure them”
“Sounds good” She says and as she says this Sykkuno comes barging in.
“Hey y/n!” He cheers “Oh hey Miyoung! Lily told me that she has a bucket in her chest that she’ll let me borrow. So, I’m just trying to find her chest. Don’t mind me” He rifles through them “Can’t seem to find them “
You open the trap door and look at him before he turns to you two “Oh is it in here?” and down he goes. “Oh!? IS THIS A TRAP”
You start giggling as he starts to panic laugh “y/n? miyoung? Help!”
You both just crouch above him and stare as he slowly sinks “Guys, any help? please? y/n?”
Miyoung just closes the trap door and walks away and in the little chat says that Sykkuno died in due to [Sticky Dipping], so you type in an apology as you make your way back towards the house. You meet him and apologize to him once again.
“It’s no problem. It was actually kind of funny, but check in the chest I have in the house. I got some more stuff for you for the house” He tells you  “I’m gunna go back to get my stuff and the bucket, so i’ll catch you later!”
“Alright, see ya Sy!” You cheer back to him and make your way into the house.”Alright chat, let’s see what he gave us! I’m not reading what you guys, say so no spoilers~”
You open the wooden box and inside were more pink wood planks, glass, stairs, torches, other house materials to make building easier, and some more of your favorite flowers.
You feel your chest tighten as the butterflies appear in your stomach. You smile largely and giddy, opening and closing your mouth trying to gather the words to express how you felt, you were pleasantly surprised by the things he left you.
You wanted to squeal at how nice he is. It is hard to come across a genuinely nice guy that wanted nothing but friendship with you. So, it was easy to fall for Sykkuno; but it was hard to admit to yourself your growing feelings for him, because love is scary and being in love with your friend is even scarier. Once those feelings come out, you can’t take them back and things just become different. So, it is safe to say that you’ll be keeping them to yourself.
“By the way” Sykkuno starts causing you to jump in real life, as you were sat pondering to yourself “The server is making a town square a few blocks away, so why don’t we move the house there?”
You start collecting the items in your inventory “Yea! Are you going to need help carrying the rest of the stuff there?”
He starts breaking the items in your old home “If you have the room for some that’ll be great! yea!”
Once you both gathered the things you wanted to take, you guys bound towards where the Town Square was being made.
“Oh! By the way, can I request you build a basement for me in our house?” Sykkuno asks
The thought of him referring to the house as ‘ours’ made you smile “Yea, but can I ask why you want one?”
“Don’t worry. I won’t build anything that’ll blow up our house” Sykkuno dodges the question
‘Our’ house. Maybe one day that can be a real life possibility. You couldn’t contain the smile growing on your face even further. Maybe one day you’ll have the courage to tell him how you feel.
As you start building near Leslie’s house, a thought suddenly pops into your head ‘Sykkuno there is a girl into you’

First - Killermare
Words - 3.1k
I decided I needed more happy Killermare, even though I’ve literally written a ton of it. I should write literally anybody else next…>_>
-
Killer entered into the kitchen with a tense back, casually perusing the fridge with a wince. He’d taken a hard hit on the side during the last fight with the Stars. Probably cracked something, but nothing was falling off so he didn’t bother too much with it. His determination would hold him together.
He grabbed the carton of milk and took a swig straight from the container.
“Other people use that you know.”
“Too bad for them.” Killer turned around to grin at Nightmare. He’d recently gotten into his Boss’s VERY good graces and no broken bones were going to keep him out of it. “Well if it isn’t small, dark, and Lovecraftian.” That got a chuckle, a rare thing to hear from Nightmare. It made his target soul ache something awful, hearing that cute sound and not being able to do anything with it, not nearly close enough to Nightmare to capitalize on the opportunity.
“As good with words as with a knife, hmmm?” Nightmare stood in his space, touching along his arm unconsciously. Killer tried to keep his mouth in check.
“I’m also pretty good with my hands.” God damn idiot brain, hitting on his fucking god level boss. There’s fucking with people and there’s shooting out of your league. He just smiled through it. “Whatcha need Boss?”
“I’m moving a wing of the library and needed an extra pair of hands.”
“And you knew how talented mine were, so you came right to me?” Killer slid the milk back into the refrigerator. He leaned back on his left side to keep from agitating the right, elbows on the counter, a picture of relaxation.
“Something like that.” Nightmare laughed again. Killer held in the pleased sigh, standing up, crossing his arms behind his head very delicately.
“I’m all yours Boss. Lead the way.”
They wandered down the hall directly towards the library, Killer keeping step just behind Nightmare, letting him stare all he wanted without being caught. Those strong thick tentacles swayed around his back, framing his ass for Killer to appreciate along the lengthy hallways. He rarely went over this way unless Night summoned him here.
Nightmare already cleared small sections away, stacks of meticulously organized books littering the floor. He gestured to a pile.
“Start here and work clockwise. I’ve laid it out to make it easy enough for you to do without me babysitting your progress.”
So began replacing them on the shelves. Killer hid the winces of pain from stooping and bending fairly well, silently moving until he hit a tiny snag. He reached up to place one on a tall shelf when he flinched into the wall.
His body hit the shelves and dislodged an avalanche onto his head. He almost moved away before one smashed into his cracked ribs.
"Son of a fucking bitch!
"Killer!" Nightmare raced over to unbury him. The tentacles made quick work of them, stacking haphazardly off of Killer’s winded form. His hands were on Killer’s forehead in an instant, checking for cracks, diligently looking over him after hearing the cry of pain. Killer groaned angrily when he was cleared off.
“Fucking Blue and his fucking blue attacks. Ugh.” Killer couldn’t sit up, pain still blossoming fresh in his chest. Night paused in looking him over.
“Were you wounded on the last mission?” His single eye penetrated his two, pinning him under it until he relented, grimacing with a gesture to his ribs he’d been carefully avoiding.
“Yeah. Stars got a good hit in on me. Was fine until the book hit it though.”
“Clearly not, considering you lost your usually impeccable balance!” Nightmare’s tentacles wrapped Killer up to get him standing without making him bend the wounded area. “Come with me. Healing magic is easiest when accompanied by intent, wrapping it will make it easier.” He grumbled and took off towards his room, Killer hobbling after to keep up.
Walking into Night’s room changed the mood. He suddenly felt out of place, surrounded by luxurious purples tones and dark wooden furniture. Night had gestured to the bed before wandering into his private bathroom.
His bed was comfortable. Killer’s nerves ruined any enjoyment of getting into Nightmare’s room, jittery from the moment he was directed to sit on the plush comforters. Nightmare returned with a roll of bandages and an unimpressed look.
“I thought you were smart enough to know how to care for yourself.” He moved in front of him. “Take off your jacket and t-shirt.”
Thankfully Night was too focused on unraveling the bandages and gathering antiseptic to see Killer’s face go red, suddenly very aware that he was in his boss’s room, said boss’s hands about to be on him after a request to undress. He pulled them off smooth and casual, but his grin practically cracked at the edges.
“What the hell?”
Night’s hands hovered over the cracked ribs, flinching back at the small break that Killer had dislodged from its setting.
“Yeah, it’s not great.”
“Killer!” Night growled at him. “Why didn’t you seek treatment before THIS?!” He gestured to the crumbled ends of the break from grinding against each other. “This is entirely fucking curable! It’s ridiculous you didn’t, at the very least, wrap this!” The growl travelled up his body, baring his teeth at him, tentacles cracking like whips at his back. Killer didn’t move, but his voice took on a nervous edge.
“I’m a dead man walking boss. I’ll just keep going forward until I can’t anymore.” Healing magic was taxing. All of them were terrible at it besides Nightmare, who never offered, only taking over when he was clearly needed. They never want to bother him to ask for it.
“I could’ve fixed this sooner.” Nightmare pinched the bone into place with a click. Killer gasped in pain. He wrapped it tightly, uncaring about Killer’s harsh pants while doing so.
“We only take it when you offer. None of us wanna annoy you.” Fuck, he was so falling out of Night’s good graces for this. After he worked so hard, some dumb break was gunna take him back to zero. He fisted the plush comforter. “Your time is important.”
“To whom, when you dust from accumulating injuries that I can’t see?”
“The multiverse I guess.”
“The multiverse doesn’t give a shit about me or my time. This is all I have.” Nightmare pinched his nasal crest after finishing. “You serve me, but I cannot do this alone. Your lives are valuable to me. I thought you, especially, would know this Killer."
"Why do ya say that?"
"Because of how important you are to me." Nightmare's hands grew warm with gathering magic, mending now that everything would heal correctly. "All of you are valuable, like the supporting beams holding the castle aloft, but you are more integral. You are the center pillar. As my right hand, as long as you stand, I have faith in my ability to recover. I believed you to be my most valuable asset, but if you’re going to just let yourself turn to dust, then I’ll-”
“No!” Killer’s soul snapped into a heart shape, eyelights flickering in time to meet Night’s inquisitive gaze. “I’m not dusting on you just like that.” He grabbed Night’s warm hands away, taking them up in front of his startled cyan face.
“K-Killer?” He brought them up and kissed the phalanges as one would do to their king.
“If you’ll continue as long as I am by your side, then I’ll remain with you until I die.” Killer’s sockets went half-lidded, struck by the emotion his inverted soul let in, his silly crush amplified ten-fold by Nightmare’s faith in him. He’d never seen his boss look so confused, eye wide and frantically searching Killer’s. “What’s wrong boss?”
“You-I’m...what’s-why all-”Killer’s hands had long since gained a mind of their own. He slid wordlessy off the bed into Night’s space, silencing him with a casual touch on the cheek, fondly caressing the bright greenish glow.
“Shouldn’t have told me I meant so much to ya cuz I’m gunna take that to heart.” Then he swooped down to kiss him.
Killer pressed their teeth together firmly, tilting their heads to line up for deepening the kiss. He relaxed into it, holding Nightmare close while getting a taste, slowly touching and teasing Night's tongue with playful flicks. He could feel the very hesitant kiss back before they parted for air.
"Feeling shy Nightmare? Don't worry. I'm bold enough for the both of us."
Killer laughed into the next one, leaning into it to force Night's response, groaning at the feel of the shy tongue in his own mouth. He could feel his small partner shaking in his arms when they broke apart.
"Killer…" It must've been awhile since Nightmare got with anyone to sound so needy.
"I'm here. Wanna have some fun Nightmare?" He whispered it into Night's ear, smiling at the trembling he could still feel against his ribs, lost in the heady feeling. Night devolved to breathy pants, which Killer dove into before he felt tentacles lay solidly against his chest to push him back.
"Killer, wait, I can't-I'm not prepared for this." Night's flushed face told a different story, but he didn't fancy being killed.
"I've got lots of patience. I'll just make you feel good until you are." Killer's mouth slid down to Night’s neck, sucking on the bone to the high pitched whines, sending all his thoughts south, ecto eager to form at the slightest provocation. His haze broke under the Night's firm push out of his space.
"Killer, stop."
His back connected with the bed, wincing from his still (though much less so) wounded bones. The rejection stung worse.
"Sorry boss." That HURT, knowing he'd fucked up pretty royally. God, he'd forced himself on Nightmare right after he'd been given a shred of attention. He was such a fucking idiot. "I'll keep my hands to myself." His eyelights poofed decisively. He almost couldn't bear to look at him, but he needed to see Nightmare's face at least once.
Night hadn't stopped shaking. His tentacles attempted to hide him from view, face fully blushing, head still tilted away from the fresh mark Killer had left, noises leaking unfiltered from his trembling body.
"S-s-sorry. I-I c-can't handle it-t. Too much." Killer grabbed his shirt and hoodie from where it lay beside him.
"I'll leave you be. Maybe annoy Horror or something, I don't know." Anything to not be here. Playing it off would make it easier to take, even if it meant no second chances with Night. He slid his clothes back on. "Come find me when you got the next mission lined up."
A tentacle wrapped around his ankle before he took the first step.
"Why are you leaving?" His voice was airy, light, breathless.
"I'm a dick, but not that much of one. I went too far, I'll give ya some space for a day." He shrugged, a drop of hate splashing on the floor. He'd describe his emotions as 'in shambles.'
"I don't want space. I just need a minute."
"I don't know Boss. Shouldn't rush that kind of thing." He could stomach taking advantage of people outside of this castle, but betraying the ones inside it, those who guarded his back and knew where he slept (and cared about but he'd never tell them that), it turned his mood sour. It ate at the pit of his stomach and it’d eat through him entirely if he didn’t get the fuck outta dodge.
"What thing?"
"Being assaulted, harassed, whatever you wanna call it. And being the person who forced themselves upon ya, don't think I should be here." He tugged at his ankle again, but Night hadn't relented.
"Killer, I didn't stop you because I didn't want it." He avoided Killer's eye roll.
"Uh-huh." Killer really didn't want to resort to cutting off the tentacle. It wouldn't hurt him, but it'd suck and prove he was an asshole, so he pulled harder. "Say I believed you. Then why?"
"Killer, I…" Nightmare looked like he wanted the carpet to swallow him. "I've never kissed anyone."
"...What?" He stopped struggling against his restraint. "There's no way. You're telling me, five hundred years of existing, and you hadn’t had your first kiss?"
"Yes." And Killer commited a cardinal sin without thinking.
"But Dream definit-" Is fucking Ink or Blue or Cross or all of them, he wanted to say, but Night was quicker.
"I am aware." Nightmare's glare was potent, but Killer's confusion was denser. "But he is lovable, unlike me."
"You're lovable." It slipped out in-between all the mental gymnastics. He wasn't sure he wasn't being fucked with still. "So you haven't…" How to phrase this delicately, he wondered. "...slept with anyone?"
"Killer, I haven't kissed anyone. Why the fuck would I have slept with someone?"
"You gotta know how unbelievable this is." Talking wouldn't reassure him, so Killer leaned down into Night's space again, stopping just shy of his teeth. "You're telling me that someone as fuckable as you's been ignored all this time?" Nightmare's single eye widened with the flush. Killer smoothed out his tone, dropping it low to hold him at the edge of his words. "Nice juicy peach you are, no one's tried to pluck you up? I can barely look without salivatin'." He lapped at his teeth, careful to keep his hands in safe places. He wanted to see how inexperienced Night really was without ruining his chances forever.
Nightmare's tentacles laid limp behind him, all the tremors coming from his real form, whose hands had raised to snatch at the shoulders of his hoodie, gripping tightly when he caved under the languid licks at his mouth by letting Killer in.
Patience led this one, Killer carefully taking over every inch of Night's mouth. The slower pace served to work up his partner faster. Nightmare's calmness abated, tentacles waking up to come and clutch at Killer's form, Night crawling onto him, transforming the kiss into a frenzy of desire that Killer surrendered to, as long as Night was leading the way. The tentacles touched plenty of hot spots, but he kept his own hands on innocent ground. Night's confidence could crumble under too much of a good thing.
"Take a breath, Nightlight." Night shivered against him after breaking apart, so much sensation his body was unaccustomed to. "I gotcha." Killer rubbed soothing circles into his back.
"I can see how that could escalate." Nightmare finally got out. It made him laugh.
"Yeah. It's pretty easy to get carried away." He kissed the top of his skull before laughing again. "You give handsy a whole new meaning though."
"Sorry." The sweet little monster in his arms barely resembled his boss, hiding his face by burrowing into Killer's chest.
"Don't be. It's pretty hot." His lewd grin made Night blush again.
"I would've thought my corruption would be the ugliest and most disgusting part of me." He punctuated it with said appendages undulating behind him.
"Boss, I just kissed the fuck outta you and I've never known you without it. Trust me, not a deterrent." Killer stroked down one to make Night's spine curl. "If you learn how to use ‘em right, they're pretty useful in the bedroom."
"Don't call me Boss when we're like this." Night whispered softly. His face caught between a glare and something soft, he was starting to come back to his senses.
"That might be too much power Nightlight." He grinned at the tiny glare. "How was your first kiss then?"
"Nice." Nightmare sighed as he sat up, unfurling all the aching limbs. The usual persona rebuilt itself. But now, Killer knew how easy the composure was to break. "I'd like to repeat it sometime."
"I'm all yours." He'd never get sick of that face if Night was willing to let him see it. They rose together from the floor, Night reestablishing the space between them.
"I'll have to talk to the others about not bringing injuries to me. Time spent on them is not time wasted." He straightened his sweater, presentable before opening the door. Killer choked the urge down to mess it up again. “The idea that you would’ve rather lost a rib than speak to me is absurd.”
"Yeah." They better not take his catch. Fuck them.
"I'm not going to kiss them Killer. The sour look is atrocious on you." Night's brow raised. Caught red handed. Killer laughed.
"Can you blame me? I know the kind of filthy degenerates who live here; I'm one of them. I don't want 'em to take a bite outta you." Subconsciously, he shook his sleeves to feel the weight of his multiple blades.
"You act as though there are many vying for my affection. People used to throw rocks at me for walking by their homes, and now they try to kill me. I'm not surrounded by suitors." He said this while walking down the hall towards the still upturned library. His strides were confident, power inherent is his manner, carried with a royal grace that Killer could only ape with minimal success. The only reason he wasn't swamped with competition was everyone had been too chickenshit to make a move.
"Ya also thought I wasn't interested and nothing has ever been less fucking true." He pushed his luck a little further, stepping in front of Nightmare to kiss him quickly. The chaste thing was almost too much considering the shakes. "I'll just keep doing it if ya don't say anything."
“We need to reassemble the library.” He huffed through, walking by with weak knees, Killer trailing just behind. “This wasn’t an invitation to touch me at all times.”
“Only some of the time then?”
“Shut up.” He humored the request once inside Night’s treasured library.
Back to quietly organizing, clockwise, his talented hands flipped them onto shelves with ease now that he wasn’t hindered by aches. It was quick and effortless like it should have been the first time. He’d begun humming by the time he placed the last one, not expecting the hand on his shoulder but welcoming it as he had earlier the same day. Night silently pressed something into his palm.
“I trust I don’t need to explain.” Killer’s fingers closed over the silver key, smiling and spinning it on his pointer while leaving the now neat library. Guess his league was a lot wider than he thought. It wasn’t an invitation to his bed, but the invitation to his heart was just as good.
“Gotcha loud and clear boss. See ya soon.”

They CUTE.

Auriga Hills
Part One:
You’ve had your fair share of near-death experiences, but this one certainly takes the cake-
-Because you’re actually about to die.
Urg!
You wanted a heroic death, a front-page-newspaper-worthy death! Something along the lines of: “Woman Dies Saving Drowning Child!” or “Woman Throws Self in Front of Gun, Saving Pregnant Mother!”
Damn it, “Woman Strangled in Dark Alley!” doesn’t have nearly the same ring.
You continue whispering curses under your breath, leaping over a crate blocking the entrance to a darkness-draped alleyway. Your feet slip as you bolt forward, fighting for just an ounce of traction against the wet, gravel-coated ground. Eyelashes fluttering against the night air hanging thick with the fog rolling in off of the sea, you squint, spying the eerie, deserted docks in the distance.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
You can already see it- your corpse floating face-down in the water.
Oh, there’s no way in hell you’re running down there! You’re not about to hide somewhere so convenient for your killer.
No, if he’s gunna kill you, he’ll have to work to dispose of your body, thank you very much.
Growling through clenched teeth, you spin on the ball of your foot, cutting around the corner of a brick wall as tightly as you can without stumbling. You groan with relief when your feet finally trade the gravel for solid ground, easily doubling your speed with the added traction.
You strain your ears as you bound in between two buildings, listening for that tell-tell crunch of pursuing footfall.
Nothing.
You grin.
Tightening your cap against your head, you do not slow down- not even for one instant. You dare not- not until you get to a- ah! There!
You snicker as you bolt towards the abandoned warehouse towering before you, energy returning to you in droves. The building’s nothing but an empty shell now, long since abandoned by the drifters, such as yourself, who once haunted its interior, so it should be safe enough to settle down and hide within.
Home sweet home, baby.
Grinning, you blast the door wide open, storming inside as the noise reverberates throughout the barren building.
“Geez Louise!” You slide to a stop, panting heavily for air. Slapping both hands down against your knees, you whine at the stab, the sting in your side from the exertion of running.
Hell.
You deserved this.
You deserved to have a close call- to have the pants scared off you. Hell, what a sloppy job! You should be ashamed of yourself- you’re more talented than this!
With a heavy, forlorn sigh, you sink down to the ground, pressing your back up against the metal wall of the warehouse, shivering against the chill.
“Damn,” you groan, reaching into your coat to pull out the object responsible for all this bloody trouble.
Your wallet.
Okay, so maybe it’s not exactly your wallet…
It’s a…. borrowed wallet…
Borrowed from someone else’s pocket, that is.
You stare at the worn leather, letting your thumb trace the maker’s mark.
Well, what can you say?
You need the cash more than the man you pickpocketed this from, that’s for certain. He’ll get over it… eventually… If he ever stops searching for you, that is.
Your grin only widens.
With a snort, you paw it open and begin fumbling through the wads of….
…Hundred-dollar bills?
Your eyes blast open.
“Jumpin’ Jahosafat!” you hiss through your teeth, fingers tightening around the wallet. You-you can’t believe your luck!
“Bloody hell!” you gasp, shuffling through the bills, holding them up in the air to get a better look. This-this can’t be real! How many grand is this?
You throw your head back, your sharp bark of laughter bouncing off the thin, metal walls. “Ooooh-boy! Oh, that man wants to murder me right about now, absolutely murder me.” Oh, you wish you could see his face right about now!
Fighting against a fit of giggles bubbling up your throat, you pull out an identification card from the wallet, eager to discover the name and face of the man who’s, no doubt, off somewhere spitting every curse word under the sun at you.
You squint your eyes, attempting to read the card in the dark.
“Javier… Peña…” You pull the identification card further away from your face, trying to angle it just right in the moonlight so you could make out his image.
Two dark, soulful eyes and a moustache glare back at you.
“He looks like a damn grump.” Your grin falls into a frown at the judgement in his frozen stare. You toss the card off to the side. “Glad I stole from him.”
You reach back into the wallet, pulling out-
“Oh!”
Oh….?
Another card? And another… Another… Hell! How many….? All with different names, and-
Your eyes stretch, your stomach squeezes…
An… an ordinary citizen would never have this many… If- if he’s part of the mafia, or a copper, or…or…
Oh shit.
No, no, you’re washing your hands of this- immediately.
You cram the cards back into the wallet, removing the cash and stuffing it in your coat pocket.
“Nope, nope!” you grumble, leaping up to your feet. You spin around, not exactly sure what it is you’re looking for, but- ah, there! An open window, right above your head! And that side of the warehouse boarders the water- perfect!
You hurl your arm back, eager to rid yourself of-
“Throw that and see what happens.”
…oh shit.
You’re dead.
“Turn around.” The voice lowers. “Slowly.”
Rage.
Rage edged in his tone.
Oh, hell.
Oh hell!
Your blood pulses, throbs in your ear. How- how do you get out of this?
You’re going to die you’re going to die you’re going to die.
Shit, shit, shit!
You raise both trembling hands. “Sir- I… There’s been a- a, uh, misunderstanding-” You slowly twist, meeting the two dark orbs of-
Javier Peña.
Or John Buckley.
Or Fred Matthews.
Or- or whatever his real name is.
You blink, refusing to drop his gaze, swallowing back the fear gurgling in the pit of your stomach.
Both of his hands rest calmly on his waist, but there’s nothing calm in his expression. His eyes flash at you, furor radiating off of him in waves.
“Five words.”
His voice is deep, raspy- made all the more terrifying when paired with the searing I’m-going-to-kill-you glare. He rolls his shoulders forward, taking on the presence of an even larger man.
“Give me-” he takes a step forward, his shadow crawling across your face- “my damn wallet.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You lower your brows. “And get the hell out of my house!”
He quirks his brow, watching you with a deepening expression.
Damn it, what are you doing?
“Stop playing games with me, mujer.” Something… dark edges in his tone. He raises a finger, pointing at your hand. “It’s in your fist.”
Your eyes lower.
“Ah, oh my! Thought this was mine!” You toss him a cheeky grin. “No harm done?”
You don’t wait for an answer.
You spin around.
The window.
Arm back- aim-
“Ack!” you squeal, throwing all of your weight at the ground. “Let go of me, you creep!”  You thrust out your feet, aiming over and over and over for his shins, but missing each time.
His grip on your wrist is painful, unforgiving, holding you partially up off the floor.
“You little shit,” he growls, plucking the wallet from your grasp. He frees your wrist, letting you flop back against the floor with a hard oof.
Groaning, you scramble away from him, stumbling up to your feet. “Fuck you!” you shout, launching towards the door.
So close-
A hand slaps on your shoulder- heaves you backwards. “Yipes!” you yelp, stumbling to the ground at the sudden reversal of momentum.
You throw out an elbow, but it lands nowhere.
You squirm- kick-
But then-
Two large hands press your shoulders against the ground-
-you’re pinned.
“Stop fighting,” he hisses in your ear, breath hot against your skin- a faint hint of cigarettes. “And stop yelling.” He reaches down, digging through your coat pockets.
“Why?” you growl, wriggling beneath his weight. “S-so you can kill me without any w-witnesses?”
He doesn’t answer.
You blink.
Oh… not… good.
“W-wait- sir!”
He pulls back, flashing you the wad of cash. “A misunderstanding?”
“Give me that!” you hiss, raising up off the floor. “I need it more than you!” You throw out a hand, but he swiftly pulls it away, tucking the cash within his coat.
He’s up on his feet and stalking away before you can barely think.
“I saw all those cards, Mr. Peña!”
He freezes.
"Give me a hundred, and I’ll… uh, forget what I saw.”
He turns, faces you- but it’s not anger that’s etched on his face.
Amusement.
At you.
He grunts, reaches into his coat-
Your eyes blast open. “Don’t shoot!” You throw your hands in front of you, stumbling back a few steps.
“Relax.” His voice is buttery smooth- almost mocking. He sticks a cigarette in his mouth, lighting it as he watches you, the layer of sweat on his face reflecting against the moonlight.
He puffs on the cigarette, silent.
Staring at you.
Wet curls plastered against his brow.
You raise your chin defiantly. “Don’t think I won’t-”
“As if anyone would listen to a thief.”
You blink.
A small smirk quirks up in the corner of his mouth. He takes another puff of his cigarette, dabbing the ashes off to the side.
“Go home-” he takes a puff of his cigarette- “kid.”
“I told you-” you take a step forward, red flashing in the corner of your vision- “you’re in my home.”
“Here?” His voice deepens, and he throws a glance up, eyeing the hole in the roof of the warehouse.
“Yeah,” you growl through gritted teeth. You cross your arms tightly across your chest. “Don’t pretend you care. You don’t care- care if I’m hungry or cold tonight!” You throw your hand out towards the door. “Just take your money and get the hell away from me.”
The amusement slips from his face, the irritable expression from his identification card swiftly replacing it.
“Goodnight then-” he tosses his cigarette to the ground, putting it out with his heel- “And careful-” his voice lowers, deep, raspy- “who you steal from next.”
You watch as he slips out the door, stalking beneath the shadows of the buildings lining the docks.
And then-
He’s gone.
Along with the cash-
-Your chance at a new start in life.
Rage explodes behind your eyes.
“ARG!”
You kick at the side of the building, cringing against the jolt of pain that shoots up your leg.
“Damn you, Javier Peña!” you scream into the dark. “And damn your stupid mustache!”
You really hope he heard you.
-------
It was a bad idea to stay in the warehouse for the night. Damn, you forgot how cold it could get by the sea. You can’t stop shivering.
With a pathetic groan, you sit up, eyeing the moon through the window, trying your best to assess what time it could be.
You raise a brow. Maybe… Four o’clock? Five o’clock?
You sigh.
Fine. Whatever.
Guess you’re up for the day.
Leaning down, you dust off your baggy pants, lamenting your current status. Maybe it’s time to jump another train… try a new location.
Tucking your hands in your pockets, you sneer over at the cigarette on the ground, trying to avoid thinking about…. him.
Hell! If it wasn’t for… him, you- you could have used that cash to have a bed tonight- warm food! A… a hot bath!
You groan pathetically, inching the door open. “Oh, curse my bad luck,” you grumble, flopping your head back as you stumble out into the chilly sea breeze. You wish you never held that cash at all if you couldn’t keep it for yourself.
It was all just a cruel joke.
But then again… it was kind of your fault for stealing it to begin with…
Oh, no matter.
Soon, you’ll find a way to get back on your feet. This is all just temp-
“Good morning, Mujer.”
“Yipes!” You all but jump off the dock and into the water. “Wha- oh, you!” Gritting your teeth, you all but growl at him like a feral dog. “What the hell do you want?” Tapping your foot rapidly against the dock, you throw both hands on your hips.
He leans up against the wall of the warehouse, taking another puff of his cigarette. He glances up at the setting moon, utterly unbothered by your anger.
“I have a… proposition for you.” His voice is low, still and calm.
“…What’s this proposition, Mustache?”
“Call me that again-” his voice drops- “and you’re taking a swim.”
You’re almost tempted to test him… almost.
Rolling your eyes, you saunter a few feet closer to him. “What. Do. You. Want?”
His eyes darken- piercing into your own. His raspy voice is all but a hoarse whisper-
“I want you to marry me.”
Silence.
You burst into laughter. “Oh- hell! G-good one!” Reaching out, you give him a slap on the arm. “Damn, I’m-”
“One grand, for your trouble.” He takes a puff of his cigarette, his dark gaze holding your own. “And a quick annulment when we get to the West Coast.”
You blink.
“Wait… you’re serious? Actually… serious?”
“I don’t joke, hermosa.” He shifts forward, passing you by as he steps to the edge of the dock. “I’ve… run into a complication.”
Your eyes widen. “Oh, wait a minute, are you a cop?” You run forward to stand beside him, staring up at his face. “A mobster? What exactly am I getting into here?”
He tilts his head, glancing down at your gaping mouth.
“You don’t need to know.”
“Like hell I don’t! I’m getting the hell out of here!”
“Hold on-”
You stare down at his hand clutching your wrist. “Fifteen hundred.” His eyes shift away from your face, his voice… tightening. “I… work for the government, hermosa. That’s all you need to know. My partner… she fell through.”
“You better not tell me she got bumped off, I swear I will-”
"The California Express train leaves today, and I must be on it, with a wife. I’m… out of options.”
Ripping your arm back, you furrow your brows at him. “Then, be on it? I don’t want the money- you’re insane. You don’t need a wife; you need a doctor.”
Spinning around, you begin to rush down the dock.
No amount of money is worth-
“Two grand.”
Freeze.
Slowly, carefully, you turn back around, watching with wide eyes as he saunters towards you.
“Two grand.” He tilts his head. “Two grand. This is…. important, Hermosa.”
“Two… grand?” you whisper, eyes widening. “Jumping Jahosafat, it must be important…”
Tossing the cigarette into the water, he steps right up beside you, hovering over your face.
"Very.”
A small smile tickles the corner of your mouth.
“Three grand.”
“No.”
“Then bye.”
“Wait-”
He growls, rubbing his eyes. “Fine, three grand.”
“And an annulment? Once the train arrives in California?”
He releases a heavy sigh. “Yes.”
Slowly, a grin inches its way across your face.
“Well, Javi-” you slap him against his shoulder- “you just bought yourself a wife.”
His frown only deepens.
“Let’s get one thing clear-” his fingers dig into your upper arm, pulling you into him. “If you break my cover or once- even once- ignore my any of my orders, I will not hesitate to throw you off a moving train.” His voice is cold, hard. You believe his every word. “Are we clear?”
You only sweeten your smile.
“Javi, dear-”
“Don’t call me Javi.”
“Let me make one thing clear-” you stand up on your tiptoes, resting your arm atop his shoulder- “If you touch me- even once- I’ll lob your head off.” You wink. “Are we clear?”
He has the audacity to return your smile.
“Indeed.”
It hits you at once- three grand.
Three grand! You- you can’t believe it! Three grand! And a free trip to California? You- you can maybe open that bakery! Just like Mother’s!
You clasp your hands together, bouncing on the balls of your feet. “Damn, three grand!”
"Calm down,” he grumbles, lowering his brow. “We don’t have much time. You’ll need some clothes, I imagine, before we go to the courthouse.”
“Clothes?”
“You can’t wear that-” he motions at your baggy pants and much-too-large coat- “on the California Express.”
“Fine, guess we’re going shopping?”
“You need a bath before I’m taking you in anywhere,” he grumbles under his breath, spinning around on his heel as he stalks away.
“Hey!” you yelp, jogging up behind him. “Excuse me, sir. What exactly are you trying to insinuate?”
“You stink.”
“Of all the nerve!” You stumble over your feet trying to keep pace with his strides. “I’m- I’m not bathing in your hotel room, you peeping tom!”
He stops- you run straight into his back.
“Oof, Javi!”
“We’re going to be married, sharing a train compartment-” he angles his head to the side- “and you’re worried about this?”
Silence.
He has a point.
…Not that you’re going to admit that.
“Javi, I will not, you mustached bastard- what- wait! What are you doing? JAVI!”
He swings you forward- and you flail- off the dock-
-straight into the water below.
“J-Javi!” you shriek, splashing the water around you as you fight to stay afloat.
“You can bathe down there,” he grumbles, amusement lacing his tone, “or you can bathe in my hotel room. Your choice.”
“I- I hate you!”
He has the nerve to grin at you.
-------
You stare at yourself in the mirror.
Hell, you make a real lady. A grin stretches across your face, and you adjust the hat on your head until it’s angled just right.
Yup. A real lady.
Heh.
No one would know the truth.
You gasp at loud rapping on the bathroom door.
“Out. Now,” Javier barks.
“Fine! Fine!” you grumble, gathering up the last of your newly purchased items into your bag.
“Now, Hermosa.”
Flinging the door wide open, you come nose-to-nose with one angry, glaring Javier.
“Javi,” you bark, “Is this any way to treat your soon-to-be wife?” You smirk, spinning around to show off the dress you chose to wear to the courthouse. “How do I look?”
He just… stares at you, eyes darkening as they sweep down your figure. Taking a languid puff of his cigarette, he angles his head to the side.
“Not my type.”
You huff, sneering up at him. “Well, good! You’re ugly too!” You cross your arms tightly across your chest, scowl deepening. “Let’s get our marriage the hell over with.”
A smirk twitches at the corner of his mouth.
“Let’s go, Hermosa.”
-------
“What a handsome couple!”
“Who? Us?” You raise an eyebrow at the old woman, a court-assigned witness to your vows. “I mean, I think I’m handsome, but Javi?” You sneak a glance over at him, his back facing you, still engrossed in a conversation with the Judge.
You raise an eyebrow. “I mean, he has a nice ass, I guess.”
“W-what?”
“Nothing!”
“Let’s begin, shall we!”
You turn to find the Judge and Javier both watching you- the Judge beaming ear-to-ear.
With a visible exhale of air, Javier lumbers forward, a neutral- almost bored- expression etched on his face. Reaching out, he takes your hand in his.
“Remember my rule,” you hiss under your breath, “when we’re on that train, keep your paws off of me.”
He tilts his head to the side, lowering his brows at you.
“Do not worry yourself.” He pulls you in closer to whisper in your ear, “I only go for handsome women.”
“Fuck you!” you shriek.
The Judge and old woman gape at you.
“Uh, um…”
“That’s how she says, ‘I love you,’” Javier mumbles. “Precious, isn’t it?”
The Judge blinks.
“…Dearly beloved, we have gathered here-”
“Just the vows.” Javier tightens his grip on your hand. “We’re in a hurry.”
The Judge’s eyes widen further, and he sneaks a glance over at the old lady-
-She has a hand pressed against her mouth.
“….Right. That’s fine. Uh… read the vows aloud then, and we’ll… finish this up.”
The Judge motions at Javier to begin.
"I, Javier Peña,” he rasps, his voice tightening with each word spoken, “take thee to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish-” his hand tightens around your own- “till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge myself to you."
He drops his eyes to the ground- almost… shamefully.
The Judge, still very much perplexed by you both, turns his attention now to you.
Oh.
Damn.
This… is really happening.
…What on Earth are you doing?
"I,” you squeak, barely audible even to your own self, “take thee to be my wedded… husband, to have and to h-hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for… richer, for poorer, in- in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish-” you pause, swallowing back your anxiety. You sneak a glance up into Javier’s eyes- immediately regretting it.
He’s… staring at you.
Just remember- this is for three grand- a new beginning.
This isn’t real-
It… will be annulled.
“Till… death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge myself to… you."
You drop both Javi’s burning gaze and hand as soon as the last word drops from your lips.
“I pronounce you husband and wife!” the Judge chirps. “You may kiss the bride.”
You blink-
Kiss?
You forgot about-
Javier’s lips press gently against your own- he pulls away before you even have a chance to react.
He… kissed you.
“Congratulations, Mrs. Peña!” the old woman smiles, clapping her hands.
Mrs. Peña…
Mr. and Mrs. Peña.
Married…
You’re married.
To Mr. Peña.
…To an idiot.
You- you refuse to look at him.
You… think you’re gunna be sick.
What have you gotten yourself into?
"Enjoy your honeymoon!” the old woman whispers, giving you a quick kiss on your cheek. “Have fun, Mrs. Peña.” She winks.
You crinkle your nose, deciding to have a bit of fun with her- distract yourself from your current mental crisis.
“Oh, no. You think I’d want him touching me?”
You grin at the perplexed old woman.
“Thanks for everything, lady!” you giggle.
A large, warm hand encircles your own.
“Come, Hermosa.” Javier’s voice is low, tense. “We cannot miss our train.”
You glance up, meeting the eyes of your husband.
Dark.
Hard.
Unreadable.
He brushes a quick finger along your jawline.
You can only nod.
“Let’s go.”

Wait!! What about a mirror World scenerio where the ros meet their counterpart like alter E is a big bully or something and for more angst alter MC died to save the ros please ಥ‿ಥ
Haha, that’s an interesting ask! There might be some slight spoilers, so beware. I’ll just label them as Alt’X’ for each character’s mirror. Let’s see...
E: Though they bare a similar appearance, AltE carries a hollow glare over a blood-flecked face. Each step they take dispairs E, who bites back their sunken dismay. “What happened to you...?” AltE glowers, “Everything that didn’t happen to you. But I still have power, and I’ll use it to take back everything I lost.” “Our power wasn’t meant for that--” “My power is meant for whatever I need it for,” AltE interjects, readying their stance, “Kill me if you think you can. I’m not changing course otherwise.” “Wha-- No, I...I don’t want to kill anyone...” “Then you’ll die more pathetic than most.”
R: a figure dressed in a gold-lined suit passes their brimmed hat to their consigliere, causing R’s expression to sour. “Ran back to him, did you?” “A half-truth,” AltR crosses the threshold between them with a chilling levity, “The family isn’t something to disregard. Not when we all could benefit. Isn’t that what we wanted? A carefree life. Is the price of carrying along with a simple deceit really worth giving that up?” “I’ve heard that before.” “Our father did everything in his power to solidify our family’s stability,” AltR extends a manicured hand, “It’s not too late to return, you know. There’s plenty of uses for people like us, and no amount of comfort unavailable to you. Our father can assure to that.” R turns away the hand, “Your father, perhaps. I think I’ll take chances down my own road.” “I’ve yet to hear a truer misfortune. Your abilities were a keen reason to extend my hand, which makes this an unfortunate loss,” AltR turns away, waving to their partner, “Plan B. Get rid of the outliers.”
L: AltL approaches with a familiar Hospian blade in hand, its polished surface casting light into L’s eyes with a deadly sheen. “So you’ve chosen violence...” “I’ve chosen Victory,” AltL stabs their sword into the ground, raising their fingers to the laurel pin in their hair, “The wisest method of achieving peace is through that selfsame method. To conquer is to unify. This is the future I foresee, and the one I aim to bring about.” “I only see the destruction and pain you’ll bring.” “Then you’re short-sighted. Every fire begets flowers in the spring. The rubble I create will bear materials to rebuild for a better tomorrow.” “Any future built upon the sacrifices and anguish of the innocent, even in the name of a greater good, is one I can not abide by!” AltL reclaims their arms, “Abide in your grave! I see only one path before me, and you stand before it!”
V: V aims their pistol at the slender figure before them, a hesitance resting on their trigger figure as AltV stares at them with an expression of heavy grief, “They’ve done so much to you.” V steadies their hand, “Who are you? A spy? Why are you...” “Don’t you recognize yourself?” “You’re different.” “I never ventured over that hill.” V freezes, losing their hold on Silvy and allow the firearm to clatter unceremoniously to the ground. AltV takes a tentative step closer, a hopefulness in their tone, “I can give you a second chance! Don’t you want to see them again?” “Them...?” “You know...the Nomads. Our--” “No, no!” V covers their ears with an agonizing cry, “Get them out of my head! I don’t want to see it again! It’ll happen again!” AltV watches on in grim sorrow, “They’ve done so much to you...”
P: P’s eyes narrow on the golden wreathed spear their doppelganger carries, their tone very nearly spitting acid. “Seeing myself wield that so easily pisses me off...” “And seeing you still wallowing in your weakness makes me sick. I guess they never taught maturity in this world.” “Shut the hell up before I fucking pike you with that damn spear.” “Is creating a string of expletives the height of your vocabulary?” “You must not’ve gotten a good ass-kicking when you were younger if you turned into such a pompous little shit.” The two of them huff, their words crossing over each other simultaneously: “At least I’m not as insufferable as you.”
M: M’s brow raises at the anguished look their alterego gives them past their glasses, their own eyes gazing over the neatly tied hair and manicured outfit until the alter ego speaks up. “You look like an absolute mess! I don’t know how I feel seeing my own body in such an awful condition.” “I don’t...wear glasses...” “What? I’m...” AltM touches their glasses with a puzzled look, “...You know we’re far-sighted, right?” “I can...see fine...I think...” AltM comes close and holds their hand up in front of M’s face, “How many fingers am I holding up?” “...Four...” “It’s one finger.” “That’s...okay...” AltM gives a scrutinizing look, “Are you an idiot?” M gives a light laugh. “How many fingers...am I holding...?” They ask before sending a solid punch into their doppelganger's face. Wiping off the small patch of blood welling on their knuckle, they hum over the unconscious body, “You had glasses...so...I’m a little...surprised...you couldn’t see that...”
Ra: Raven paces around their alter-ego with a darkened glower. Mirroring them, AltRa backpedals with a fretting look. “Are...you okay?” “Look at you,” Raven seethes venomously, “Still being raised on lies, or maybe they’re now truths to you. By that witch.” “I was glad to have been raised by--” “Don’t!” Raven nearly pounces on them, shutting down their vocalization with their own vehement protest, “Don’t you dare say that name!” “What happened between you...?” “Nothing!” “Ka--” “No!” Raven looms over their cowering alter, their fingers tightening around the grip of their knife, “I’m -- We’re -- Raven, and...we’re going to have an...eventful discussion...”
S: S gives a hard look to the figure before them, adorned in a racing jacket emblazoned with a cogwheel symbol etched in gold. S reacts with a voice of clear animosity. “Well, would’ya look at that. Rightfully sponsored, and by Gear no less.” “Ya gunna get on me for makin’ good on an opportunity? Were ya plannin’ on livin’ in that hovel scrapyard forever?” “That’s home to me! That’s where all our family is!” “Our family was better relocated.” “What?” S’s shock gives way to a rising fury, “Ya sold out the yard?! That was...Everything. Ma an’ Pa gave everything to that place!” AltS’s brow creases into a stony countenance, “An’ it wasn’t workin’ out. Family ain’t just gunna pop our dinner into existence.” “Shut the hell up ya damn sellout. I’d rather starve.” “Guess this world ain’t one for common sense,” AltS mutters, taking off their jacket, “Ah well. Let’s get this over with, yeah?”
F: They cross their arms upon coming face to face with AltF, glancing over their baggy street clothes and unkempt hair with a displeasure at their mouth. They easily recognize the bow hanging over their shoulder. “You’ve come to the wrong place for sport, I’m afraid. Your hunt has ended before its begun.” AltF shakes their head, “I’m here for you. To appease you, as ruler of my own world.” “A ruler who would wrap themselves in pauper’s wear. A testement to the sorry condition of your nation, brought upon by weak ruler. But I will be different.” “You misrepreset me. We have relinquished much of our material wealth, but those still yet present hold spirit beyond their means. But such rulership that you anticipate will alienate our proud people--” “I’ll not have you lecturing me upon the finer points of my actions,” F snaps coldly, “Ruling is my birthright! In the progress of my livelihood have I carried the expectation of my duties, and I will spend the rest of it in assurance that I fulfill them, even should it come at a cost to the rest of the world. My duty is to Frenza foremost.” “I see now that it may be unwise to continue a discourse. You’ve blinded yourself to your place in the world, content to your familiarity.” “You think yourself more righteous than your station, Husk. Morality holds little place here,” F releases a self-satisfied smile, “Should my people call for injustices and bay for blood, who am I to refuse their pleas?”
Thank ya for the ask, it was fun to write though it took some time to come up with stuff haha. I hope ya enjoy

Note
I absolutely hear you on a lot of what you said about Rio’s development this season, but I don’t think the show is saying that Nick’s comment about Lucy’s murder is what we’re supposed to think about it. That’s just what Nick thinks, and considering the way they’ve portrayed him, I really don’t think we’re meant to agree with him. In fact I thought we were supposed to do the opposite. Why do you think the show itself is reframing what happened through him? I’m curious in your reading of that
(x)
you know? you make an excellent point. this one also got unintentionally REALLY long, so it is too, under the cut haha
-shout out to @jade-marie and @00gangfriend00, without them I don’t know how coherent this entire response would be haha
Alright, well firstly, I think it’s unfortunately clear that even some of the show’s writers don’t actually have a good grasp on the events leading up to Lucy’s death, both during s3 and now. It seems like depending on who is talking, and the timing of the discussion, the answer will shift. It is… really hard to speculate sometimes when the writers don’t even know the reason behind a scene. However, since it’s canon - whatever the reason or goal of the scene - I’m just going to go on my merry way and create/keep my own interpretation.
The more I thought about your ask, the more I realized, yeah, through Nick’s scripted words alone, they aren’t necessarily reframing what happened, since Nick does seem to be unaware of much of the entire sequence of events regarding Lucy: “So… you were just gunna, what, keep it to yourself?”. Assuming the diner scene with the cop was the first time he heard about it, his impression most likely wouldn’t be a fair representation of what actually happened. So, this is me eating my own words from before, so I apologize for using his quotes to reinforce my idea. This is simply my opinion, and it does regularly change quite a bit… I am wrong a lot haha
To some degree, I think reframing or shifting of some sort is kind of unavoidable when a show continues a plotline from a previous season, especially in addition to incorporating new characters into the past events. Nonetheless, I do think that the show is deliberately in fact reframing Lucy’s death and why it happened - through Rio’s backstory & POVs, Nick’s character development, and the show’s choice to show Rio having a lack of scars.
1. The backstory and Rio POVs
According to the backstory we’ve been given so far, Nick is this person who apparently is so deeply entrenched in Rio’s life and decision-making but he doesn’t know 1) that Rio killed someone, 2) the fact that Rio killed Lucy for Beth (as opposed to killing Annie, Ruby or Beth), and 3) why, which makes me wonder how exactly they are using Lucy’s death as a plotline in combination with Nick and Rio’s relationship. As I said in my previous post, I believe that the events leading up to and including Lucy’s death were heavily tied into if not directly a reaction to the shooting in 2.13.
According to this season, it seems Nick is Rio’s backstory, and Rio is Nick’s. So far, we’ve gotten approximately eight Rio POV scenes, separate from the girls, including flashbacks (excluding the Fitz kill):
4.02:
-the police station
4.08:
-baby Rio (rotten eggs with Nick)
-teenage Rio (the boxing scene(s)/contrasted with Nick’s POV on the golf course)
-teenage Rio (locker room theft)
-teenage Rio (grandma/stove and locker room arrest)
-adult Rio (outside the police station)
-teenage Rio (with Nick, kitchen flashback - I think this is more just an omniscient POV, however)
4.09:
-the boxing scene (with Nick)
With the exception of the police station in 4.02, Nick has been present in some capacity in each one of these Rio POV scenes. Since it’s only been through the flashbacks that we’re getting the main context of their relationship, it’s clear that the storyline the show is perpetuating this season is that Nick and Rio’s characters are very tightly weaved together in some capacity. And have been historically.
Rio, as a teenager, was a victim of Nick’s early manipulative actions, but in the end, it made him money, so (we are able to gather) he was able to justify falling into a criminal relationship with him. After Rio’s six-month stint in prison, he spent (probably) the entire time resenting Nick (and also, this is where he most importantly - in my opinion - developed adult Rio’s mannerisms haha jk).
So, moving forward with this knowledge, let’s take a look at their adult relationship.
2. Nick’s character development (in relation to Rio)
First and foremost, with Rio, in s1-3, he was an enigmatic, charismatic, clever, powerful, king who loved money, was in charge of every decision, well-connected, and a man of few words etc etc. Now, while Rio is being given more facets as more and more of his relationship with Nick is revealed and explored: he is being illustrated as someone who is dependant on his likely long-time abuser. This may be the case, absolutely, but, in my opinion, takes away from the last three years of work the show put into the character Rio mentioned above, including Manny’s nuanced acting. The reveal of Nick’s current power dynamic over Rio (at least the abusive part) in this past episode was quite jarring and seemed incredibly OOC of the Rio I personally know and love from past seasons, and, it kind of came out of nowhere, in my opinion. To be clear, I have nothing against the storyline of Rio being a victim (have you read my fic? haha), but I think that the way they are progressing this storyline is too abrupt and lacks the subtleties that I would have preferred to see with something like this. Especially considering this is canon.
Returning to the original point though, by assuming this abuser/abused dynamic is where the show is taking Nick and Rio’s relationship, that means that Nick likely seeks to control Rio’s life and decisions as much as he can (props to @00gangfriend00 for this articulation). Related and important side note: @jade-marie pointed out to me that by setting a preceding occurrence of physical mistreatment, the show is (unintentionally) establishing Rio as someone who is stuck in a cycle of abuse, and who seems to seek out abusive relationships and probably misunderstands abuse as intimacy. Rio’s relationships with both Beth and Nick demonstrate this. How much shit they’re both clearly able to get away with, and still have power over him. Which I think is an incredibly problematic message to be sending. This is a critical point, especially regarding the scars/acknowledgement of the shooting, because it offers the writer’s an excuse to write off the entire shooting, and by doing so, they are validating this cycle of abuse. (I won’t apologize for this particular tangent, because I really hope the writers acknowledge the damage this storyline could do if they don’t properly see it through this season)
Since it was confirmed that Nick didn’t know about Lucy (even though Rio supposedly got the alibi of the boxing tickets from him) Rio was, presumably, hiding the true extent (or the entirety) of his relationship with Beth from him. Which - I think from a writer’s perspective - does benefit the show, if they choose not to circle back to the shooting. This also allows them the freedom to ‘pretend’ that Rio got over it by himself. Obviously, there are a lot of issues and plot holes with that in itself, but to me, because Lucy’s death wasn’t something that Nick already knew about, combined with the lack of clarity of who Beth is to Rio in Nick’s mind - he doesn’t know about either the shooting or the consequences of it.
3. The lack of scars
Alright, so lastly - the show’s decision to not put scars on Rio. I think this was absolutely a conscious decision, there must have been at least one person in the building that thought of the fact that a shirtless Manny without scars couldn’t just be brushed aside. As a result, I, personally, think this demonstrates that the show is done with shooting. Pretending it never happened, erasing the trauma, moving on, yeah. Obviously, as I said, I vehemently don’t agree with this direction but I think it’s clear it’s a storyline the show doesn’t want to circle back to. Otherwise, Nick would know about Beth and Rio’s history. Otherwise, Nick would know about Lucy. Otherwise, there would be scars. This is my own opinion of course, but I’m making it based off of a couple of Nick’s lines: “Did you [kill Lucy] for [Beth]?” and in 4.08 when he talks to Beth, “So what’s the deal with you and [Rio]? […] Anyone who wears a cardigan, shouldn’t be doing what he does.” He generally seems unaware of the true state of Beth and Rio’s history and is probably genuinely curious about it considering the amount of control he has (or wants to have) over Rio.
I think that because all of the Rio POVs we’ve had are linked to Nick, I made the jump that we are supposed to believe Nick’s influence is/was at the heart of many of Rio’s decisions in the past. Obviously, during s2 and s3 writing and production, they didn’t actually know they were going to get a s4 or do a Rio backstory, so the fact is, that the character they wrote called Rio then, was someone entirely different from today’s Rio. However, we’re watching different seasons of Good Girls, not a different show from one year to the next. I think because this is the backstory we’re getting, the show is implying that this was the case all along. That s2 and s3 Rio made all of those decisions with Nick, someone he was scared of, hanging over his head in some capacity. Or somewhere in his vicinity. That’s why I have a problem with the implication that Lucy’s death was phrased the way it was, without the scars present. They coated that dialogue with innuendos about Beth and Rio’s sexual history, which is also quite layered, but at least that connection I get. It reminds us that Rio was betrayed in more ways than one. However, without the scars present, and Nick seemingly unaware of the shooting, how does the show intend to justify Lucy’s death with the audience? None of it makes sense. Jade was so incredibly helpful; she cohesively summarized the events - by erasing 2.13, they are erasing Rio’s motivations for 3.05. I just want it to make sense

jealousy | villain aizawa x hero reader | one
Tumblr media
masterlist | tip jar
prompt: Yandere Villain Aizawa x Female reader. Former student of his turned pro hero, he’s always had eyes for her at UA but never acted upon it. Once she graduates, she takes a role at Endeavor’s agency, and Aizawa can’t stand the thought.
A/N: I’m gunna be honest with you, I can’t stop thinking about this one, and I really shouldn’t be making another series but I NEED this. It’s going to be filled with sooo much 18+ bullshit, I’ll put warnings for each specific chapter at the beginning of each one so you’ll know whats coming. I love love LOVE Villain Aizawa.
words: 1.7k
warnings: for this chapter, just violence, and swearing
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 |
Tumblr media
The black mass flew over head, jumping from one roof to another, if you weren’t sure what you were looking for you would have missed it, but you knew it was him. Climbing the fire escape of one of the buildings, you followed quietly in pursuit, hopping over the large gap between the roofs.
For six months pro heroes from your team had failed to come back from a mission, or came back so badly beaten that they could no longer work as a hero, all of them were chasing the same villain.
Spotting the shadow up ahead stop, you dashed behind a low brick wall, you were sure he didn’t spot you. Listening carefully, you heard a thump in the distance indicating that he’d jumped onto the next roof. You continued to trail him.
Every time another hero came back injured you begged your boss, Enji Todoroki or Endeavour as the public knew him, to let you go after the villain yourself - he always said no. Apparently, you were too valuable to him, too special, too new, to hunt down such a vicious villain.
Peering around the corner of the wall, you continued your silent sprint and leapt across the next building, you were still on his tail - far enough behind for him not to hear you but close enough for you to follow.
When the last hero Ending was delivered to the agencies doorstep with a message branded in his chest, ‘Bring me what is mine’, you knew you couldn’t just stand by and watch, not when you knew so much about the villain and his power.
He was your teacher during your time at UA after all.
Speeding up, you were only one roof behind him, but he seemed to jump off the edge and out of your line of sight. Cursing, you closed the gap and ran to the edge, cautiously you glanced over. If he had really jumped he would still be falling, or climbing down the fire escape, but it was empty. As you had guessed.
The gravel crunched against the roof tiling behind you, you had to admit, he was clever and fast. Lifting your head in acknowledgement you spoke, not needing to turn around “You’re a hard man to find Eraserhead”, he blew air out of his nose in an almost silent chuckle.
“That is the point” his emphasis on ‘is’, it had been 3 years since you last heard his voice, it was at your graduation from UA High, when he was a kind hero. You would be lying if you said his commanding voice didn’t hold power over you the way it did when you were his student.
“But I managed it” you commented cockily, slowly and cautiously turning on the spot to face him, “Because I let you” he said back. Why would he let you find him? When he had tried so hard to stick to the shadows.
Your heart back flipped when you finally saw him, he hadn’t changed at all, even his hero- well villain- suit was exactly the same, black overalls, yellow goggles and his grey capture weapon. His face still held the scruffy stubble he refused to shave and the scar under his eye he acquired trying to save your class.
On the other hand, you had grown immensely both mentally and physically, you wondered how much you had changed for him.
Especially considering when a hero burst through the agency doors talking about a villain that could erase quirks along with a physical description, you knew you would have to rely on your combat training and physical strength rather than your quirk. You’d been training ever since.
“Look at what you’ve become, and to think there was a time when I called you Sensei” you spat, raising your fists ready for a fight, it was impossible to not let your memories and emotions take hold of you, and that was probably why Endeavour never let you go after him.
“Things change, people change” Eraserhead shrugged, seemingly unphased by your shift to a hostile stance, he began to stroll and circle you, he was being arrogant as though you wouldn’t be a challenge to him.
Which used to be true, he was years older and more experienced, as well as being physically stronger too. But he knew how to get into someone’s head.
“But you can still call me Sensei” he smirked, reaching up to take off his goggles. The look of surprise and confusion on your face must have been obvious because you heard a deep chuckle rumble out of him.
His tone was so different and so unlike the man you knew, you started to doubt how well you could fight him, “You’ve killed people! Innocent people!” you shouted at him, stepping forward, you had to get your emotions under control.
“Those people are not innocent” he shook his head, letting his goggles fall loose around his neck, you locked eyes, they felt so familiar but so distant as well.
This was the man who taught you, tutored you, helped you get back up again when you fell, and he had a huge part in moulding you into the woman you were today. It was heart breaking to see selfishness and greed consume him.
Overcome with emotion, you pushed yourself forward and attempted to use your quirk by extending your dominant hand towards him. Nothing happens. You stare down at your outstretch palm in confusion.
“Seriously?” he raised his eyebrow, his eyes were glowing red and his hair was flying high above his amused face. The one thing you had to remember, and you’d forgotten it.
In your frustration, you threw your other fist towards his head hoping to land a punch, but it was stopped midair, you watched his capture weapon curl around your closed fist and your wrist.
Out of the corner of your eye you saw Eraserhead’s hair droop down for a moment, you took the opportunity to shoot a ball of purple fire at the man and hurriedly tried to untie your fist.
With little to no effort he hopped out of the way and sent his capture weapon onto your other hand, binding the two together. “Is this really how Endeavour’s been mentoring you?” he scoffed, which just made you even more frustrated.
You needed to think “All the trouble I went through to make you a good hero, and he’s undone everything in just a few years” he shook his head disapprovingly, he expected you to be weak, so you would play weak.
Trying to pull your hands apart, you pretend to struggle more than you actually were, making sure to fake a panicked look on your face. He smiled and tightened his grip on the capture weapon, pulling you forward slightly.
Seeing the opening, you moved forward with is pull and purposely fell to the floor, making sure you landed on your knees, the impact was rough and hurt so naturally you cried out at the sudden pain.
He was eating up every minute of it, in all his years of being your homeroom teacher, you had never seen such a wide smile and gleeful look on his face.
“I really expected more from you” he tutted, walking closer to you and reeling the capture weapon in like a fishing line to keep it nice and tight but closing the proximity between you.
Making your chest rise and fall harshly to make it seem like you were out of breath, you let him get closer.
Tugging on the capture weapon, he made your hands fly up above your head and towards him, the make-shift leash he’d created now so short he may as well have been holding your wrists together himself. As he pulled on the bindings you allowed yourself to rise as well, staying on your knees but staying tall, making it seem like he had all the control.
You waited patiently for the right moment, staring up at him and watching his every move, trying to predict it before it got you killed.
For a moment he dropped his guard, truly believing that he had already won, you shot your leg out to the side and used your thigh muscle to push your other leg onto its foot and spun as quickly as you could.
Your outstretched leg connected with his and knocked him off his feet, you had never moved that quickly in combat practice. The impact of him hitting the floor loosened his grip on the capture weapon, allowing you some movement, you yanked on it as hard as you could to free your hands, but to no avail.
He was faster than you’d ever seen him, he was already back up onto his feet and chuckling, why was he chuckling?
Not giving him time to react, you swung your leg upwards, making sure the bottom of your shoe connected with his weapon and you forced your leg downwards in an attempt to throw him off balance.
But nothing happened.
Shifting your eye-line from the fabric laying flat on the floor to where you thought he was standing, but he was nowhere to be seen. Had he ran? All that was left was his capture weapon in a bundle on the floor.
Hearing a noise behind you, you spun around to hopefully find him, but again there was nothing there.
What you didn’t notice was that all the spinning had wrapped the fabric around your arms and torso too, without your hands you tried to shrug it off of you and wiggle free but as soon as you did it got instantly tighter making you gasp.
“I really thought I taught you better” you heard from behind you, and all of a sudden you felt his arm wrap around you. You fought against his grip but the pressure of the capture weapon against your lungs was making you lightheaded, you couldn’t breathe.
“You’re a murderer” your voice strained out, you were starting to see specks of white in your vision, you had to do something and now if you wanted to get out.
You threw your head backwards in a final attempt at escape, you felt the back of your skull connect with something and a distant shout of pain, but your ears were ringing and your vision was fogged by white clouds.
Feeling your head become weightless and your eyelids flutter closed, your muscles relaxed. You couldn’t fight anymore.

So while Six of Crows has been on my to read list for a while now when I saw that Shadow and Bone was coming to Netflix and realized they were all part of the same little universe I was like *rolls up sleeves* K guess it’s time to read five books in one month to prepare for this new series drop. (special shout out to @darklesmylove because it’s mostly your blog posts that convinced me I had to read this series...I give you this as a gift...)
And now I present to you (in the order which I read them) the events in the Shadow and Bone/Six of Crows books that made me go ABSOLUTELY FERAL (wow there’s a lot more of these than I thought there were).
- “The problem with wanting,” he whispered, his mouth trailing along my jaw until it hovered over my lips, “is that it makes us weak.” (unfortunately the last time I was seduced by the Darkling - NEVER AGAIN BAD SIR! But this was fucking hot)
- THE. FIGHT. OVER. THE. STAG. (Just...Alina not killing it, the Darkling is here, now he’s going to kill it. NOW ALINA IS IN FRONT OF THE STAG SAVING IT. NOW SHE WANTS MAL TO SACRIFICE HER. NOW THE COLLAR IS AROUND HER NECK AND NOW SHE’S UNDER HIS POWER AHHHHH) Bonus: “Shhhh. Quiet now, or I will let Ivan kill him. Slowly.”
- When Alina figures out the dream and TAKES THE POWER BACK!!! (yaaaaasss queen!)
- When the Darkling finds Alina and Mal in Cofton and that whole fight scene and her getting bit and then I had to WAIT UNTIL THE REST OF THE BOOKS CAME IN THE MAIL
- “From what I know of the Ice Court, whoever stole my DeKappel is exactly who I need for this job.” “Then you’d be better off hiring him. Or her.” “Indeed. But I’ll have to settle for you.” (I’m 50 pages in and in love with Kaz Bekker, someone help me)
- “Not just yet, Inej.” The rasp of stone on stone. Her eyes flew open. Kaz. (ugh my cold cold heart is awake and beats only for them!)
- Because I’ve been looking for an excuse to talk to you for two days. (literally like......)
- When Jordie and Kaz get tricked. (I mean all of Kaz’s back story but that was...ugh..........)
- It was because she was listening so closely that she knew the exact moment when Kaz Brekker, Dirtyhands, the bastard of the Barrel and the deadliest boy in Ketterdam, fainted.
- When Nina runs into the guards and the alarm goes off and I realize that I’m an idiot and OBVIOUSLY THINGS WERE GOING TO GO WRONG.
- WHEN INEJ TOUCHES KAZ’S FACE. His eyes were nearly black, the pupils dilated. She could see it took every last bit of his terrible will for him to remain still beneath her touch. And yet, he did not pull away. She knew it was the best he could offer. It was not enough.
- He slammed his fist against the window. “Do not speak my name.” Then he smiled, a smile as cold and unforgiving as the northern sea. “Welcome to the Ice Court, Nina Zenik. Now our debt is paid.” (like FUCK MATTHIAS GOT ME TOO. WHAT A GOOD ACT!)
- I have been made to protect you. Only in death will I be kept from this oath. It was the vow of the druskelle to Fjerda. And now it was Matthias’ promise to her. (OMGGGGGG)
- “This is going to sting a bit,” said the druskelle holding the whip. His voice was rasping, familiar. His hands were gloved. “But if we live, you’ll thank me later.” His hood slid off, and Kaz Brekker looked back at them.
- The sun was out for once, and Inej had turned her face to it. Her eyes were shut, her oil-black lashes fanned over her cheeks. The harbor wind had lifted her dark hair, and for a moment Kaz was a boy again, sure that there was magic in this world. (YEAH OKAY. AND THIS IS HIS LAST THOUGHT BEFORE DROWNING.)
- WHEN THEY STEAL THE TANK. THE TANK. AND THEN DRIVE IT THROUGH THE FUCKING TOWN.
- Nina on parem.
- “I will have you without armor, Kaz Brekker. Or I will not have you at all.” (SCREEAAAAMS. BANGS HAND AGAINST BOOK. DIES.)
- “Kaz knew the instant he made his mistake...in that moment of threat, when he should have thought only of the fight, he looked at Inej.” (asdlfkasgkjasglk;sdfjl)
- I’m going to get my money, Kaz vowed. And I’m going to get my girl. (YEAH BITCH!)
- When Alina first sees the Darkling while they are traveling the fold (I froze, I read it like four times, I couldn’t believe what was happening)
- When Mal suggests they go to that stupid party and then Alina actually agrees (I literally was like...well something bad is going to happen and I hate it here)
- When the Darkling shows up after Alina and Mal kiss. “Another otkazat’sya, Alina?” the Darkling mocked. (sdflkajd)
- “I can’t decide if you’re an idiot, or an idiot.” (ugh Nikolai, marry me)
- two pages later: “You’re a spectacular actor,” I said drily. “Do you think so?” he asked. Then he leaned in and whispered, “I’m doing ‘humble’ right now.” (FUCK ME)
- “I want to kiss you,” Nikolai said. “But I won’t. Not until you’re thinking of me instead of trying to forget him.” (Am I the only one who found this cute??? Why did Alina get upset??? Do I have Nikolai-colored goggles on??? Maybe...)
- When the Darkling came to Alina in her sleep and then PRETENDED TO BE MAL SO HE COULD HAVE HIS WAY WITH HER?!?!?!?!?! (ahhhhhhhhhh) “I missed you too, Alina.” That voice. Cool and smooth as glass. (AHHHHH)
- Nikolai stood up, his chair scraping loudly against the parquet floor. “When did you lift the blockades? How long have the roads been open?” (LSDAKLFSDLFDKASLDKLSKLKLL)
- “Not bad looking?” said another voice. “He’s damnably handsome.” Luchenko scowled. “Since when - “ “Brave in battle, smart as a whip.” Now the voice seemed to be coming from above us. Luchenko craned his neck, peering into the trees. “An excellent dancer,” said the voice. “Oh, and an even better shot.” (And then I damn near died.)
- There’s a whole three pages (that I will not re-type here) after they arrive at the Spinning Wheel of Nikolai just being *chef’s kiss* flawless. Some great lines include: “Everyone needs a hobby.” “I thought yours was preening.” “Two hobbies.” “Should I be offended that he doesn’t want to dine with us? I set an excellent table, and I rarely drool.” “What a filthy mind you have. I was referring to puzzles and the perusal of edifying texts.” “Last chance to run.”
- “Alina, I’ll be back to fetch you for dinner, but should you grow restless, do feel free to run screaming from the room or take a dagger to her. Whatever seems most fitting at the time.” (asldjkasl;dkfs;lkd NIKOLAI)
- Okay gunna skip ahead - you can assume any time Nikolai said anything I screamed.
- Nikolia’s second proposal (THE EMERALD!!! JUST HOW HE PUTS IT ON TOP OF THE WALL)
- Nikolai’s third proposal. Nikolai’s skin was warm, his grip gentle. I’d wondered if I would ever feel something so simple again or if the power in me would just keep jumping and crackling. (THIS is why he is perfect for her - no jolt of electricity, just warmth and comfort!!!)
- SERGEI!!!!
- When Nikolai gets fucking taken over by a nichevo’ya (I HATE EVERYONE)
- When Baghra sacrifices herself
- When we finally FINALLY find out what makes Mal so special (I mean....his tracking was OTHERWORLDLY I can’t believe people weren’t more fucking freaked out by him)
- “The Darkling marched on Keramzin.” (Literally screamed: “MY HEART HURTS.” I was crying. I nearly threw the book down. “BUT THE CHILDREN!” I say with my fists in the air. I am become a blade.)
- Nikolai visiting Alina while he is the monster and trying to make himself better (ahhhhh tears!!! THE EMERALD!!!) The words died on my lips. Nikolai turned my palm over and slid the ring onto my finger. (FUUUUCK. PAAAAIN.)
- When Nikolai comes back and FIGHTS FOR THEM IN THE FOLD!!!! HE MAY BE A MONSTER BUT HE IS NOT THE DARKLING’S MONSTER, BITCH!!
- “Please,” I sobbed. “Bring him back to me.” (lkadsflkj this was actually devastating even though I’m not a huge Mal fan)
- “We need more light,” he said. A choked laugh escaped me. I held up my hands, pleading with the light and with any Saint who had ever lived. it was no good. (UGHHHH. MORE PAIN.)
- Tamar sobbed. Toyla swore. And there it was again: the thready, miraculous sound of Mal drawing breath. (and also the first time I breathed for an entire chapter!)
- “Alina,” he said and kissed the scar on my palm, “I remember everything.” (Literally the last like twenty pages of this book I just gave up and was like actually Mal is adorable and I need to protect him at all costs.)
- “Really I just wanted to look at the words.” (ughhhhh)
- Once a man arrived with a fleet of toy boats that the children launched on the creek in a miniature regatta. The teachers noted that the stranger was young and handsome, with golden hair and hazel eyes, but most definitely off. He stayed late to dinner and never once removed his gloves. (NIKOLAI SIGHTING IN THE EPILOGUE MY HEART GOES ON)
- When Van Eck thinks Kaz is coming to get Inej and then he tells Inej and then she is WILLING HIM to not show up and then it is revealed he wasn’t there all along (BOOM BITCH THAT’S HOW KAZ BREKKER FUCKING WORKS.)
- “Those were my mother’s favorite flower.”
- “Why the net, Kaz?” I couldn’t bear to watch you fall. (POETRY OKAY?)
- Jesper and Wylan going to see Wylan’s mother and just fucking everything about that chapter.
- When Inej almost FALLS INTO THE FUCKING SILO AND IT’S THE END OF THE GD CHAPTER
- “Pick up the pace,” Kaz said, eyeing his watch. “If I spill a single drop of this, it will burn straight through the floor onto my father’s dinner guests.” “Take your time.”
- “We’ll fight our way out together,” Inej whispered. Nina glanced from Inej to Kaz and saw they both wore the same expression. Nina new that look. It came after the shipwreck, when the tide moved against you and the sky had gone dar. It was the first sight of land, the hope of shelter and even salvation that might await you on a distant shore. (AHHHHHH)
- Wylan’s first thought was that this boy had the most perfectly shaped lips he’d ever seen. His second was that his father had sent someone new to kill him. (Wylan you are so adorable it’s adorable)
- Inej was moving before she thought of it. She couldn’t just watch him die, she wouldn’t. They had him down now, heavy boots kicking and stomping at his body. her knives were in her hands. She’d kill them all. She’d pile the bodies to the rafters for the stadwatch to find. But in that moment, through the wide slats in the banister landing, she saw his eyes were open. His gaze found hers. He’d known she was there all along. Of course he had. He always kew how to find her. He age the barest shake of his bloodied head. (THESE TWO!!)
- “My leg! My leg!” “I recommend a cane,” Kaz said. (cackling)
- When Sturmhond (aka Nikolai ***swoons***) showed up in Crooked Kingdom. (What actually happened: me reading a description of a “fox-like” man with Genya and Zoya and screaming and saying to myself “OMG WHEN I TURN THE PAGE IT WILL CONFIRM THAT NIKOLAI IS IN THE BUILDING I CAN’T” (did I mention I’m in love with him??? already??? k))
- When Jesper and Wylan FINALLY kiss FOR REAL (this was a big chapter for me) This was the kiss he’d been waiting for. It was a gunshot. It was prairie fire. it was the spin of Makker’s Wheel. Jesper felt the pounding of his heart - or was it Wylan’s? - like a stampede in his chest, and the only thought in his head was a happy, startled, Oh.
- CHAPTER 33 - just everything, everything about the reveals in this chapter. The money being funneled to the Shu, not being able to trace even the RANSOM NOTE back to Kaz. WYLAN SHOWING UP!!!! “ARE YOU SURE THEY WERE PEKKA’S MEN?” !!!!!!!!
- “Do something,” Matthias growled at Kaz. “This is about to turn ugly.” Kaz’s face was as impassive as always. “Do you think so?” (bahahahahaha)
- Nina’s just complete glee over the chaos she creates!!! “She was the Queen of Mourning, and in its depths, she would never drown.”
- Jesper using his fucking power!!!!!!
- She stared up at him. He was going to miss that look of surprise. (HE’S GOING TO LET HER GO. HE KNOWS HE IS GOING TO LET HER GO.)
- KAZ’S PLAN BECOMING CLEAR IN IT’S BRILLIANCE AS EACH CHAPTER GOES BY.
- Inej frowned. “I thought you and Nina chose four outbreak sites on the Staves.” Kaz straightened his cuffs. “I also had her stop at the Menagerie.” She smiled then, her eyes red, her cheeks scattered with some kind of dust. It was a smile he thought he might die to earn again. (AHHHHHHHHHHHHH)
- “A sedative,” said the medik. “Is that safe for a pregnant woman?” “For me.” (This is just FLAWLESS in its depiction of people who don’t do OB care regularly.)
- Matthias saw the anger there, the rage. He knew it well. But he was still surprised when he heard the shot. (NOOOOOOOO!!!)
- “Has she at least done it before?” said Kaz. “For this purpose?” asked Sturmhond. “I’ve seen her do it twice. It worked splendidly. Once.” (NIKOLAI I BEG YOU!)
- When Matthias DIES?!??! (I’M SORRY WHO LET THIS HAPPEN??)
- “You will meet him again in the next life,” said Inej. “But only if you suffer this now.”
- Wylan getting all of his father’s money because KAZ HAS BEEN PLANNING THIS ALL ALONG??!
- Jesper leaned in and said, quietly enough that no one else could hear, “I can read to him.” (alksdflk;jasfl;jkd that was hot)
- “Well hopefully the medik will be here to fix my ribs soon,” he said as he headed back into the parlor. “Yeah?” “Yes,” said Wylan, glancing briefly over his shoulder, his cheeks now red as cherries. “I’d like to make a down payment.” (OMG WYLAN?!?!?! IN FRONT OF MY SALAD?!?! IS THIS ALLOWED?!?!)
- At some point, Jesper realized Kaz was gone. “Not one for goodbyes, is he?” he muttered. “He doesn’t say goodbye,” Inej said. She kept her eyes on the lights of the canal. Somewhere in the garden, a night bird began to sing. “He just lets go.” (TEARS.)
- She felt his knuckles slide against hers. Then his hand was in her hand, his palm was pressed against her own. A tremor moved through him. Slowly, he let their fingers entwine. (I gasped so loud i literally woke my cat up from a deep sleep.)
- “Wait,” he said. The burn of his voice was rougher than usual. “Is my tie straight?” Inej laughed, her hood falling back from her hair. “That’s the laugh,” he murmured. (THAT’S THE LAUGH. THAT’S THE LAUGH. AHHHHH)
Okay done. Gunna go stare at the ceiling until tomorrow night/whenever I finally get King of Scars and Rule of Wolves in the mail (BECAUSE YOU KNOW MY SORRY ASS IS DYING AT THE THOUGHT OF TWO BOOKS ALL ABOUT NIKOLAI)

The Malachite's Shady Past
Canon to 'Both of Them, and Only Them'
Melanie and Miltiades are on edge as the team arrives in Mistral. A past they would rather forget becomes unavoidable, and Ruby learns more about her girls than any of them expect.
AN - When I ended 'Both of Them, and Only Them' I stated that I may make one-shots in this continuity if I can think of scenes worth exploring. This is one of those one-shots.
---
Jaune, Ren, Nora, Ruby, and the Malachite twins followed Ruby’s uncle Qrow out of a tunneled walkway and into a crowded marketplace filled with as many cheery, colorful people as it was filled with dark corners for slightly shadier transactions. “The City of Mistral.” Qrow introduced the city the group with an exaggerated flourish with him arms.
“About time!” The ever boisterous Nora proclaimed. “Seriously, whose idea was it to walk again?” she continued, staring pointedly at Ruby.
Ruby nervously rubbed the back of her head. “Well, it’s not like there were any airships out of Vale at the time… and I seriously though it would only take a few weeks.”
“At the same time,” Melanie picked up, “you really thought it would only take a few weeks?”
“Hey! Aren’t you supposed to be on my side?” Ruby frowned.
“Maybe once my feet stop hurting,” Melanie teased.
“Oh, well…” Ruby stuttered. “I could, um… give you a foot massage? Isn’t that a thing couples do? Or would that be weird?”
Qrow interrupted, “what’s weird is you discussin’ that right next to the rest us. Save it for the hotel.”
“Right,” Ruby nodded, turning bright red.
“Sooo…” Jaune cut in, desperate to change the subject, “how much further to Haven Academy?”
“Almost there,” Qrow informed them, “but I figured I’d take you kids on the scenic route.”
“But I’ve already got my tour guides!” Ruby boasted proudly.
“You do!?” Nora replied loudly.
“Mel and Miltia were born here,” Ruby confirmed.
“Really?” Jaune asked, his brow cocking. This was the first any of them heard of it their entire hike here.
“Well, yes,” Miltiades answered tentatively.
“But it’s been a few years since we left,” Melanie continued for her sister.
“Years? Musta left pretty young,” Qrow deduced. “Are you orphans or something?”
The twins’ gazes deterred, clearly uncomfortable with the line of questioning.
“That was a little blunt, Qrow,” Ren lightly scolded in his calm tones, less to reprimand Qrow and more to support the twins’ silence.
“Sorry,” Qrow played along.
The group continued forward, talking about the city. Seeing the chance of a quiet moment, Ruby fell behind a bit for a small semblance of privacy with her girlfriends. “Hey, are you two okay?”
“We’re fine, Ruby,” Melanie smiled.
But Ruby could tell it was a little forced. “You know you can talk to me, right? Even if you don’t… it’s okay to not be okay.”
“I promise, Ruby, we-” Melanie was suddenly stopped by Miltiades. The twins had one of their infamous silent conversations that ended with Melanie sighing. “It’s… a lot to take in. Being back here. Maybe we’ll elaborate later, but not in the street.”
“Whatever makes you feel comfortable,” Ruby assured. The young redhead then decided on a joke to break the tension, “Maybe we can talk while I practice my foot massage?”
It succeeded in bringing a small smile to Melanie’s and Miltiades’s faces. “We’ll see, Gem.”
A few streets later another shadow fell over Miltiades face. “What is it now?” Ruby asked, following her girlfriend’s line of sight to some nearby graffiti in the shape of a spider. “What’s that?”
The twins shared another concerned look. “It’s a gang sign,” Miltiades finally answered.
“And not a good one,” Melanie added. “We should probably catch up with the rest of the group.”
The twins cast a sly look backwards, looking for anyone following them. To their relief, they spotted no one. Unfortunately, that was only because their tail had already broken off, eager to deliver the information they had gained.
---
Things at Haven Academy did not go nearly as well as Qrow had hoped. A fact that sent the aged Huntsmen to the bars while everyone else went back to their hotel. It was a spacious booking, with rooms aplenty and a common area for the group. The twins and Ruby picked a room to settle in, and after months camping as a group on the road, they cherished the opportunity to cuddle alone behind closed doors.
Ruby was the first to break the silence. “So… you two don’t have to say anything… but we are alone now?”
Melanie sighed.
Ruby winced. “I’m sorry…”
“It’s not you,” Melanie assured. “It’s just not happy memories.”
Ruby shifted until she was sitting up with her back against the headboard. “Do you not like being back…?”
Melanie was unsure how to respond. Miltiades ended up being the one to answer, “we like being with you, wherever you are.”
“I’m sorry if I seem pushy,” Ruby continued. “It’s just that when Qrow said… what he said… it made me realize I don’t know anything about before you moved to Vale.”
“You’re right,” Melanie snapped, “you are being pushy.” The brasher twin suddenly stood up and marched out onto the room’s private balcony.
“Mel!” Miltiades called after her sister. Ruby shrank and emotionally folded in on herself, making the milder twin frown. “She’s not mad at you, okay?”
“She seems mad at me,” Ruby countered.
“Let me go talk to her,” Miltiades offered, standing up herself. “We’ll be right back.” Miltiades didn’t like leaving Ruby alone in her poor mood, but this conversation was one the twins had to have, sooner rather than later. She stepped out onto the windy balcony, noting how much ambient noise the door managed to block. She saw her sister leaning on the railing by the far edge. “Are you okay?”
“I just… wasn’t expecting this to come up,” Melanie explained.
“You thought we could get into and out of Mistral without it ever coming up?” Miltiades pointed out.
“Well, I didn’t know how long we’d be here!” Melanie defended. “I was hoping for an afternoon, maybe. In and out and on to the next place…”
“Even if it was years down the road, she would have asked us about our history eventually,” Miltiades argued. “And… I think she deserves to know.”
“I know that,” Melanie sighed. “But what do we say? ‘Our mom is a dead crime boss and the Spider gang are the ones who killed her’?”
“Maybe not be so blunt…” Miltiades added nervously. “But we have to say something. With everything else going on… the last thing she needs to worry about is us.”
Melanie sighed again, her face dropping into her hands. “Alright… just… give me a minute to mentally prepare.”
Miltiades nodded and reentered. Ruby hadn’t moved, and her mood hadn’t improved either. She looked up, quickly noting that Miltiades was alone. “So she is mad at me…”
“No, it’s just a difficult subject,” Miltiades assured. “She just wants a minute to compose herself.”
Ruby nodded. Miltiades sat back on the edge of the bed, the anticipation for the coming conversation raised her nerves as well.
All the pair could do was stay silent while they waited. And waited. And waited… Eventually, Ruby broke the silence, “did she say how long she would take?”
“No,” Miltiades shook her head, “but it shouldn’t have been this long…” The timid twin slowly stepped back out onto the balcony. The empty balcony. Instead of Melanie, there was only a piece of paper pinned to railing where she had been a moment before.
“Oh no…” Miltiades bolted over to the paper. Reading it made her heart drop. She gazed hard into the darkening surroundings as dusk turned to night. “MELANIE!”
The shout had Ruby dashing out onto balcony. “What’s wrong?” Ruby’s trained eyes were distracted a glint on the balcony floor. She knelt down to pick up a tranquilizer dart. She stood back up and turned to Miltiades. “Where’s Melanie?”
Miltiades didn’t speak, she only held out the paper. A note signed with the image of a spider.
Miltiades Malachite,
The Spider’s Web
One hour
Bring the redhead
---
Ruby and Miltiades gathered the others in the common room to update the lot. Nora and Ren looked concerned. Jaune looked angry. Qrow was conspicuously absent.
“Why on earth would they do this?” Nora asked after the explanation.
“I don’t know,” Miltiades answered.
“Are you certain?” Ren followed up. “The two of you have been nervous since we got to the city.”
“Does this have anything to do with what you two wanted to talk to me about?” Ruby tacked on.
Miltiades bit her lip. “We do have a… past, with the Spiders. But that’s all it is! The past!” she quickly assured. “I really don’t know why they would attack us now! They have no reason too,” Militades turned to her girlfriend before adding, “I promise.”
“And what about the part where they want Ruby to come?” Jaune pointed out. “That Tyrian guy wanted to kidnap Ruby. What if this is about our enemies?”
“We need Qrow,” Nora added.
“But where is Qrow?” Miltiades questioned.
It was Ruby’s turn to sigh heavily. “If he’s not back already, he’ll be no help by now.”
“We have to do something!” Miltiades urged. “What will they do to her if we don’t show up!?”
“So what, the five of us just go our own? To face Mistral’s most powerful street gang?” Jaune shook his head.
“And why not!?” Nora jumped up. “Just a week ago we killed a massive, terrifying Grimm no one else had ever even seen before! We can handle a few thugs!”
“I… wasn’t serious, Nora,” Jaune clarified.
“Well I was!” Nora stood her ground.
“We needn’t fight,” Ren pointed out. “We merely need to secure Melanie and escape.”
“But not fighting is boring,” Nora whined.
“Nora,” Ren lightly scolded.
Ruby crossed her arms. “Miltia is right, though. We have to do something. And Qrow’s not gunna be able to help, so it has to be us.”
Jaune groaned. “This is a bad idea. But I don’t think we’re gunna find a better one, so… let’s go.”
---
It didn’t take long to find The Spider’s Web. It was a bar in one of the city’s lower tiers, mainly populated by people who had no where else to go and staffed by the Spider Gang itself. It was more a base of operations hidden in plain sight rather than an actual drinking establishment. A fact made all the more clear by the small army of people guarding the entrance as the group approached.
A girl near the front took a step forward to greet them. “You can stow the grimaces, we just wanna talk.”
“Talk!?” Miltiades shouted, “and what, kidnapping my sister was a polite invitation!?”
“Would a cordial letter have convinced you to come?” The girl pointed out. “Look, we don’t want a fight. You’ll all be free to go after my boss has said her piece. Scout’s honor.”
“Like you’ve ever been a scout,” Jaune shot off.
The girl gave him an amused look. “I bet that sounded a lot more macho in your head, huh? But I get it.” She turned to Ruby, “as a show of good faith, we’ll even let you keep your weapons. But only you two are coming in, and after my boss says her piece this will all be over. No bloodshed.”
“You’ll think we’ll let you just separate us!?” Nora shouted.
The girl rolled her eyes. “I think you don’t have much room to negotiate. We’ve been generous enough letting you keep your weapons. You want the girl back, these are rules.”
Ruby thought for a moment before speaking up. “Two questions.”
“Can’t promise I’ll answer, but go ahead,” the girl conceded.
“Do the names Cinder or Tyrian mean anything to you?” Ruby asked first.
The girl flashed a confused look. “No?”
“And Salem?” Ruby questioned next.
“Isn’t that a movie character?” The girl responded, scratching her head.
Ruby searched the girl’s eyes for any hint of a lie, and found none. “Alright, we’ll follow your rules.”
“Are you sure, Ruby?” Ren asked.
“Just be ready,” the young leader told them. “If you so much as hear a plate drop, all bets are off.”
“We’ll be sure to give the clumsy waitress the night off,” the girl joked. “Come on, you two.”
---
Miltiades and Ruby were led into bar. It was full of Spider gang members, barring one familiar figure seated at a table near the back wall. “Melanie!”
The captured twin spun around at the sound of her name. “Miltia? Ruby? What are you two doing here?”
“Getting you, of course!” Miltiades hugged her sister as though she would vanish again if she let go.
The formally trained Ruby was the one to ask, “are you okay?”
“A little lightheaded from whatever they shot me up with,” Melanie answered. “Other than that, they’ve been treating me surprisingly well. But how did you two find me?”
“We were invited,” Melanie told her. “Apparently, the boss wants a word.”
“With us and Ruby?” Melanie found it hard to believe. “Why?”
“‘Why’ is a good question,” Ruby crossed her arms. “For example, ‘why’ do you two have a ‘history’ with a gang?”
Melanie’s fists clenched. The softer hearted Miltiades once again had to pick up the slack. “Our mother was a big player in Mistral’s underworld. The Spider’s were her lifelong enemies.”
“You told Yang you didn’t get involved in stuff like that,” Ruby reminded them.
“And we don’t!” Miltiades assured.
“When we were children, we didn’t know any better,” Melanie explained. “As we grew older, we realized we didn’t like watching over our shoulders all the time. People around us were constantly being hurt.”
“Or doing the hurting,” Miltiades added.
Ruby’s stance softened as she took in the story. “So… you two moved to Vale alone… and a moment ago you said ‘was’ when talking about your mom…”
“She disappeared,” Melanie elaborated. “Around the same time, the Spider’s started combing the streets. They were even spotted in the upper tiers, all the way up to the academy. We didn’t so much move to Vale as we escaped there.”
“We didn’t want to believe the rumors at first,” Miltiades picked up. “But the longer without so much a letter… it’s pretty obvious what happened.”
“I’m disappointed, girls. I thought I taught you better…”
The voice made the twins freeze. Ruby turned a curious eye to the source. A broadly built woman stepped out of the back room wearing a simple yet clearly expensive ball gown with open shoulders showing a spider tattoo on one of them. She approached the table with a wide smirk on her face. “Always confirm the body.”
The spell broke, and Melanie leapt up from her seat with an angry “You!?”
The woman let out a single chuckle. “Me.”
Ruby was utterly lost. “Who?”
Miltiades finally unfroze herself, though still couldn’t tear her eyes away from the Spider’s boss. “That’s…” she couldn’t finish the sentence.
The woman turned to Ruby to introduce herself. “My friends call me Lil’ Miss. These two, however, call me ‘mother’.”
---
The awkward silence after that little reveal persisted long enough for everyone to be seated and served surprisingly well made food. Only the mother touched their dish. The girls were either feeling to awkward (Miltiades), too angry (Melanie), or just too confused (Ruby) to think about eating. “Well, it’s not going to bite you,” the mother Malachite chuckled. “Eat up!”
“Why?” Melanie asked.
“What else do you do with food?” Lil’ Miss joked.
“I mean, why are you here?” Melanie’s hand slammed the table. “Why gather us? Why… just why!?”
“I heard you were in town,” Lil’ Miss told her, “and I missed my girls! I am sorry about the methodology, but I knew you two wouldn’t trust a Spider’s courier.”
“Did you really think that we would just treat this like a happy family reunion?” Melanie scoffed.
The mother slowly lowered her fork. “Perhaps that is a little optimistic of me. Very well, I’m sure you have questions.”
“Why did you never tell us you were alive?” Miltiades jumped in right away.
“Did you think it was a secret you two wanted out?” Lil’ Miss asked in turn. “My disappearance was part of an elaborate plan to take control of the Spiders. I launched an attack, then vanished. The spread themselves thin trying to follow every rumor I planted.” She smirked, “too thin. Next thing they knew their leadership was gone and it was either join me or join them.”
Ruby shuddered at the implication.
“Anyways,” Lil’ Miss continued, “one of those false rumors reached your own ears. By the time the plan was finished, you two had already left. Like I said, I knew you wanted out, so I let you be. I figured contactin’ you would only complicate your lives in ways you were tryin’ to escape.”
Melanie scoffed again. “Are you seriously trying to say you let us think you were dead because you cared?”
“I resent that accusation,” Lil’ Miss frowned. “I may not have been the best mother to you girls, but you are my flesh and blood. How do you think you got that job with Junior, hm? After everyone else turned you down, somehow the less-reputable man was the one eager to hire you?”
“I thought it was because of his nature he took a chance on us,” Miltiades admitted.
“Well, I couldn’t order him to take you in,” Lil’ Miss clarified, “but he did hear one hell of a recommendation.”
“And you’ve been keeping an eye on us ever since?” Melanie questioned.
“Of course,” Lil’ Miss nodded. “It broke my heart when Beacon fell. With the communications down, I couldn’t check up on you. I was worried sick. When a Spider spotted the three of you in the markets, I knew I had to see you.”
“The three of us?” Ruby caught.
Lil’ Miss’s smile returned. “What mother isn’t interested the person that captures their children’s hearts? Circumstances aside, it is nice to finally meet you, Ruby Rose.”
“Um, it’s nice to meet you too?” Ruby returned unsurely.
“I’m sure it isn’t, but I appreciate your kindness,” Lil’ Miss responded honestly. “I just hope you’re treating my girls alright.”
“Better than you ever did,” Melanie jabbed.
Lil’ Miss frowned once more. “I suppose I do deserve that one. I told myself I was doing it so you two wouldn’t struggle in life. I didn’t see how it was affecting you in the then and there.”
The topic ran dry, and the awkward silence returned. “Are you going to eat?” Lil’ Miss eventually asked.
“Do we have a choice?” Melanie asked.
Lil’ Miss sighed. “You can leave anytime you want.”
“Good,” Melanie stood.
“But please,” Lil’ Miss insisted. “Just humor me. One meal with my daughters…”
Melanie only stopped to spare her mother a dirty look before continuing to the door.
“Wait!” Ruby called out.
Melanie stopped. “You’re going to defend her? She’s a crook, Ruby, you basically just heard her admit to killing people!”
“Well, I know if my mom came back to life I wouldn’t care what she’s been doing the last ten years,” Ruby pointed out. “Well… I mean I would, but… you know what I’m saying.”
Miltiades shook her head. “Your mother was a saving people by day, baking cookies by night super-mom. Ours isn’t exactly in the same league.”
“But…”
“Ms. Rose,” Lil’ Miss interrupted. “I appreciate what you’re saying, but the girls are right. I only have myself to blame for their opinion of me.” She stood to face Melanie eye-to-eye, “but if you ever change your minds, I’ll be right here.”
Ruby frowned. She couldn’t say she understood, but she knew it wasn’t her choice.
“C’mon,” Miltiades took their girlfriend’s arm to guide her out. “We have people waiting for us anyways. I’m surprised Nora hasn’t already started breaking legs.”
The scene in front of the bar hadn’t changed much, an eerily still standoff with all people in the same places as a half an hour ago. “See?” The girl guard from before spoke to Jaune, “your friends are safe.”
“What happened?” Jaune asked the three of them.
The twins stayed silent. Ruby only responded with a, “just… don’t ask.”
Jaune was perplexed, but more than that he was happy that his friends were safe, so he took the advice and didn’t question it.
---
When the group got back to the hotel, they were greeted by the sight of a drunk Qrow and a farmhand with familiar eyes. “Where the hell have you all been!?” Qrow slurred.
“Where were we? Where were you!” Jaune countered. “We coulda used your help two hours ago!”
“I…” Qrow started firmly before a grin spread across his drunk face, “…found him.”
“Found who, the kid?” Nora asked.
“I found him…” Qrow chuckled and then practically cheered, “I found him!”
“He’s talking about me,” the kid confirmed.
“And you are?” Jaune questioned.
“Well, you might this hard to believe, but in a way… I am-”
“Nope,” Ruby interrupted, b-lining toward the farmhand. “No, no, no, no, no, no.” She repeated the word until she reached the boy and planted her hand over his mouth. “We have had a very long night. Some,” she gestured to the twins, “longer than others. I don’t think we’re ready for yet another head-spinning revelation, so please, is there any way this can wait for tomorrow?”
The boy looked from side to side, as though listening for something, before slowly nodding.
“Thank you!” Ruby sighed in relief. “Girls, let’s go cuddle.” Melanie opened her mouth, only to be cut of as well, “and before you say you’re not in the mood, I remind you that I am an expert in cuddles, and after that, you two definitely need some.”
Melanie chucked and smiled. “I was going to say cuddles sound nice,” she assured. The twins followed Ruby upstairs, finally, to some proper peace and quiet.
---
A few days later, Lil’ Miss was starting her day with the newspaper. She read about how a group of faunus straight from Menagerie stopped the White Fang from carrying out a terrorist attack on Haven Academy. She also knew Ruby, and by extension her daughters, had business in Haven that night. She wondered if the two events were connected.
As she mused over the printed word, a customer entered her bar. A giant monster of a man, tanned, and with rather magnificent mutton chops. “Looking for information?”
“People,” the man corrected in deep tones. He tossed forward a few pictures. Lil’ Miss was an expert in hiding her emotions, which came in handy as she recognized the people in an instant. Ruby Rose and the people she was travelling with.
“Come back in a day or two,” Lil’ Miss told him.
“A day or two?” The man questioned.
Lil’ Miss shook her head. “There are a lot of people in Mistral. I only keep eyes on the important ones. These people are not important. It will take me time to gather the info, but trust me, I will find them.”
“Very well. Two days.” The man left without another word.
The same girl that traded barbs with Jaune a few days before turned to Lil’ Miss. “I assume we won’t be telling him they’re headed for Atlas?”
“Of course not,” Lil’ Miss answered. “But we have two days to make a believable lie. I hear Vacuo is nice this time of year.”
“People don’t like being sold false info,” the girl pointed out.
“Then we won’t sell it,” Lil’ Miss nodded. “We don’t need his money anyways. We just need to steer him clear of my girls. Make sure there’s room for error in the info packet, just in case.”
“Clever, ma’am. I’ll get right to it.” The girl left to perform her duties.
Lil’ Miss looked back down to the pictures, eyes passing over her daughters in turn before settling on Ruby. “What kind of enemies do you have, Ms. Rose? It’s up to you to keep my daughters safe. I hope you’re up to the task.”
---
I understand I just implied something that has to potential to cause much larger changes to RWBY's narrative. That realization, that Lil' Miss might not want to endanger her children, is precisely what I wanted to acknowledge here. However, I have neither the creativity nor the investment to follow a full fic exploring those changes. So I apologize, but this will remain a one-shot.

Note
Imagine being at a Halloween party thrown by Dabi and someone in a Leatherface costume keeps following you. It turns out to be Shigaraki. You comment on how his human skin mask is cool and how it looks so real, and oddly looks like Bakugo's face. He laughs, tosses it away and leads you to a field of pumpkins, where he non cons you, while Spooky Scary Skeletons plays in the background.
Okay listen, I know this was probably sent in 200 percent as a joke, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to sit down for an hour and make it work. It’s been a weird week. I can make weird work.
Tumblr media
Like imagine kinda knowing Dabi before the league goes super big. You don’t know too much about him, but he’s a friend of a friend and so on and he’s got the dangerous bad boy appeal alongside those haunting blue eyes, so all ya friends hover around him. So lets say you get invited to his spooky-dooky Halloween party he’s throwin’ in an old warehouse. It’s sort of his last hurrah cause it’s a lot harder to try and bone civvie girls when you’re a wanted villain with your face on the news attached to a criminal group, so he’s gunna throw it back tonight and take what he can get, you feel?
So you and ya friends get all cute and dolled up in your costumes and head out to this bash that’s taking place on the wrong side of the tracks in some godforsaken warehouse. It’s in the industrial zone, which is comprised of nothing but abandoned buildings, squat houses, and old warehouses. You’re pretty sure he just found one and broke the chain on the door and called it a night. That should be your first clue, but fuck it, what’s life without a little risk?
Anyway, a few hours pass and admittedly, you’re a lil’ drunk. That being said, you could swear this dude in a leatherface costume is stalking you. Maybe not stalking you, per say, but he’s definitely trying hard to be where you are. It’s not like he’s easy to confuse with anyone else; his costume is super unique, and if you’re being honest, a little disturbing. It legit looks like that kid Bakugo from the Sports Festival but forcefully mutated in with the classic Leatherface look. Whoever it is, they’ve definitely got an edgy sense of humor. It should spook you, but it’s Halloween for fucks sake! At least they’re putting some effort in! It’s no coincidence that you see him literally everywhere you go, so maybe he likes you?
Maybe he’s cute under that creepy mask.
It’s worth a shot (get it, shot?), so you let him follow you to the bar and sit down next to an equally empty seat, hoping to give off the vibe of ‘quit being creepy and come talk to me.’
A few seconds later and surprise surprise, he sits down right beside you. No sense in pretending this is anything other than what it is, so you turn right to him and offer to buy him a drink.
He stares at you for a minute, beady pupils surveying you beneath that godawful mask he’s donning before he nods. He doesn’t tell you what he wants, so you just order him whatever mixture of gasoline and fruit you get. He just stares at you while you sip at your own drink, and you can’t help but laugh. His eyes are fuckin’ intense, and while you’re already a little tipsy, it’s pretty clear he’s dead sober. Luckily, alcohol gives you a charming ice breaker.
“It’s probably a little difficult to drink with that terrifying thing on your face, but I really appreciate your dedication to the look.”
Behind the holes of the mask, his eyes crinkle near the edges. You can’t tell if he’s smiling or snarling, but he’s definitely reacting to what you’re saying. He must’ve decided that he likes you, because he finally reaches behind his head and loosens whatever makeshift strap that’s tangled in his silver, ‘fake’ blood matted hair.
As he lets it fall away from his face, you study what’s underneath. He’s a little rough around the edges, a little chapped with dry skin and more than a few blisters on his pale lips, but he’s cute and the costume has you intrigued. For all you know, it could be liquid latex. The guy seems pretty dedicated after all. It makes you wonder what is Halloween paint and what’s his actual skin. You kinda wanna lick him and find out.
Shut up, alcohol.
“It’s homemade.” He rasps out, voice cracking and strained like he hasn’t spoken in days. After a sip of his own drink, he slips a subtle smile as he sees you eying the grotesque costume piece. “I’m glad you like it.”
It’s gross to say the least. Whatever it’s made out of, it’s certainly not plastic or rubber like most masks. It smells atrocious, especially coupled with the must and cheap booze of the warehouse, and it makes you a little queasy as it flops around in his lap a little too lifelike for your liking. It even has pores, for Christ’s sake. Tearing your gaze away from it isn’t easy, but if you look much longer, you’re not really sure what your stomach is gunna do, so you turn your attentions to the owner instead.
“Are you making a statement or just not a fan of the would-be hero types?”
He giggles a little even though you’re not entirely sure what you said was funny. “I guess you could say it’s both.”
You sit in an awkward silence, sipping at your drink for a few minutes before another wave of alcohol induced courage lights a fire under your ass. If he won’t talk, you sure as fuck will.
“So, are you a friend of Dabi’s or-” He scoffs, loud and hard, lip curling in distaste. “No. I’m unfortunate enough to know him. We work together.”
“Really? I always wondered what he did for a living.”
It takes him a second to realize that’s you’re prodding, and a minute longer to come up with an answer. “I guess you could say we’re sort of... activists or something.”
“Is that so? He never really struck me as the generous type.”
“He’s not.” He grins like a fox in a henhouse, mischievous and sly like he knows something you don’t. “And I’m not either.”
“Then why be an activist?”
His smirk fades, and he nurses his drink, flicking his eyes away from you. “I dunno.”
“What kind of activist are you? Like social or environmental or-”
“Uh-” He clearly wasn’t expecting this line of questioning. “Political.”
“Oh, that’s cool! What kind of politics are you guys into? You seem like the anarchy sort to me, but I don’t wanna judge-”
“Are you always this nosy?”
His sudden hostility takes you back a little. Sure, you’re drunk and annoying, but that seems a bit excessive. Maybe this isn’t the tree you want to be barking up tonight.
“Sorry. I was just trying to get to know you.”
You turn your body away from him slightly, returning your gaze to the rusted metal behind the makeshift bar. You can see him glaring you down out of your periphery but opt to ignore it. Regardless, he stares for a few more moments before downing the rest of the drink you apparently wasted your money on.  “Well, don’t.”
Whatever, man. It’s a fucking Halloween party. You can find a different jerk-ass to hook up with, one who at least pretends to be nice until the night is over. Dicks are a dime a dozen in a place like this, and the ‘super mysterious, if I told you, I’d have to kill you’ bullshit charade he’s playing is grating on your nerves. Part of you wants to tell him off for being so rude, but the other part is telling you to just shut up, project your disinterest, and wait for him to leave.
You huff a small sigh, blowing the air out of your puckered lips as you roll your eyes behind closed lids. Your side of the conversation comes to an abrupt halt, and suddenly everything in the room is more interesting than he is. Yet even with the uncomfortable awkward air around you both, he doesn’t leave. He just continues scanning you over as you do your best to give him the cold shoulder. So he really thinks there’s any sort of comeback from that, huh?
Apparently he does. He’s not very good with social hints either. You’ve almost tuned him out when you feel a bony hand clutching your upper arm.
“Hey, come with me. This place is boring and I’ve got something I want to show you.”
You turn, shooting him a disbelieving glare, but he’s already slid off his bar stool and is pulling you along with him. He doesn’t bother to wait for your answer, weaving through the crowds and dragging you behind him even as you try to wiggle your arm out of his grasp. Had you been in your right mind, you might have screamed or shoved him and told him to get lost, but your liquor marinated mind makes it difficult. He’s kinda right, after all. This place has gotten boring. All your friends left you behind an hour ago to go find their own conquests and dancing by yourself gets pretty lame after a minute. It’s not like you had anything better to do.
Alright, fine. Follow the rude guy. He seems pretty adamant about it anyway.
You try to justify it by telling yourself maybe he’s just super socially awkward or doesn’t have much experience with girls. He could also be one of those super brash, brutally honest people that just says whatever comes to mind. Maybe he didn’t mean it in a mean way. A trailing history of terrible taste in men leaves his unbridled rudeness with a bad taste in your mouth, but it wasn’t like you were planning on seeing him again after tonight. Ride the dick and then ride off into the sunset.
You both dodge through the groups of people together as he yanks you towards the very back of the warehouse. The couple of doors he leads you through have a fairly prominent ‘Do Not Enter’ sign cautioning at eye level, but he doesn’t seem dissuaded, pulling you through the heavy doors despite the clear warning. A few hallways and dim, empty corridors later and he’s ushering you into something resembling a claustrophobic courtyard outside that joins the warehouse with a few of the surrounding buildings.
It’s very dark outside, and aside from the slight shine of ugly yellow tinted streetlights peeking through the alleyway, you can’t see much of anything. You can’t imagine what on Earth it is out here that he wants to show you, but you doubt you’ll even be able to see it. Anxiety starts to bloom in your chest as your drunk mind starts to realize that you’ve followed a stranger out into a very dark, very isolated area.
“H-hey, I never got your name.”
He laughs softly, coming up behind you and gripping your shoulders in a way that feels all too tight. Steering you forward, he leans in, feet falling in line with your steps.
“You’re right. My bad, that’s awfully rude of me.”
He pushes you forward in a way that seems a bit intense for having just met before latching his hands lazily around the base of your neck and pulling you into his chest.
“I guess it’s a good thing you didn’t know what Dabi does for a living, or else you never would have been stupid enough to follow me out here.”
Okay, it’s Halloween and all, but his brand of prank is starting to feel a little too real. The macabre costume and total boorishness should have been the insight you needed to come to the conclusion that this guy just isn’t quite right in the head, but between the alcohol and your desire to give him the benefit of the doubt, it just never quite clicked for you.
“It’s Shigaraki, by the way. My name. I’m sure you’ve heard it before.”
His wet breath on your neck isn’t the only reason you get shivers. You have heard that name before, only never spoken so casually. His fingers tighten around the tensing muscles in your throat as you swallow down a bombardment of emotion. Panic. Fear. Realization.
There’s a million and ten things going through your mind right now, the foremost of which is why. You aren’t a hero, nor are you a particularly fervent hero supporter. You’re not related to any heroes, and frankly, there’s no one further from the social/cultural hub that is hero society. Isn’t that what this guy gets his rocks off to? At least from the news snippets, that’s the impression you gathered.
You want to ask him why you. Maybe its a selfish question but it’s a question none the less, and one people tend to ask when their place on the mortal coil is being threatened. Yet, no matter how you try to spit out the words, your tongue stills in your dry mouth and refuses to cooperate. The pounding in your chest is giving way to a headache and a serious case of sick, and you swear between the loud pulsing of blood in your veins, you can hear him giggling behind you.
You think maybe that’s a strong enough cue to leave. You can ask him why when you’re separated by a thick layer of glass at Tartarus.
You know, it’s easy to sit back in the comfort of your own home and laugh at the clumsy heroine in any given horror movie who fumbles away from the killer like a newborn fawn just discovering its own lanky legs, but you’re quick to understand just why that troupe is so popular. It takes you a moment to gather the courage to turn on your heel and shove him hard on the chest, and even when you manage, it’s so weak and pathetic that it barely knocks him off balance. It only just gives you enough space that you can dart in the opposite direction. Where you’re going, you have no clue, but it’s not on the forefront of your mind as you pound pavement beneath your shitty costume shoes and shout “Stay away from me!” like some cliche damsel in distress.
Your adrenaline fueled getaway is short lived. A few seconds after beginning your feverish sprint away from what you know to be a very dangerous young fellow, the front of your foot catches on something and sends you toppling to the ground only a few feet from where you began your initial rush. Your fall is less than graceful, and the shriek that emits from your throat before your body thuds to the dirt like a sack of potatoes is far less sexy than anything in any horror movie. The bag you’ve been clutching, filled with nothing but the bare essentials and a half empty flask, is flung from your fingers. Your assailant doesn’t slow-walk towards you in a menacing manner while wielding a knife, but practically jogs over, wheezing with nasally laughter as he grabs you by the hair.
“I bet that went a lot better in your head, huh?”
A lot of things went a lot better in your head, to be fair. That scene. This night. Your life in general. But the little pity party you’re throwing yourself does little to garner his sympathies. No amount of hiccuping and crying fat gobs of tears that leak from your lashes and down into the Halloween makeup it took you hours to do elicits any response from him but what he had already planned on.
His laughter finally dies down and the fingers threaded through your hair manhandle you to your knees before roughly casting you down onto something. Something hollow yet sturdy greets your sensitive, liquor addled stomach as he forces you down and bends you over it. It feels slightly waxy, yet organic to the touch, and seems to wobble around slightly the more he kicks and prods you into a position you’ve seen one too many times in those shitty free pornos.
Pumpkin. It’s a fucking pumpkin.
You can smell the leaves and grass and sodden soil as he positions your hips up in the air, shucking off the costume apron he’d been wearing. Dirt embeds under your finger nails as you struggle to drag the rest of your body over the pumpkin to make your escape, but the hand that isn’t currently fumbling with his zipper is still tightly anchored in your hair, holding you in place. He hisses out a few words warning you against struggling too hard, his quirk is uncontrollable after all.
He makes quick work of the cheap costume bottom, inhaling a ragged breath and digging his jagged nails in a little too tightly to your skin when your ass becomes bared to the cool night air. The sight of you must’ve made him impatient, as he settles for simply yanking up your top along your back to expose your tits instead of going through the effort to try and get it off you. If what you’ve heard is true, he could simply dust it and be rid of it, but he doesn’t seem like he’s in the most centered form of mind right now, and it doesn’t appear like it’s your death he’s after.
No, it seems like he’s after something much more intimate than death.
Your mind is acutely aware of what’s about to happen, but it’s trapped in your paralyzed body, unable to force your heavy limbs to move with the weight of the panic. He’s freed himself from his pants, knuckles bumping against the cleft of your ass with every jerk of the cock that you thank God is hidden from your vision. After a few rigorous pumps, he withdraws for a moment before spitting and dribbling his slick saliva into the palm of his hand, coating his cock and using it as a makeshift lubricant.
When he’s finished making spitting sounds that make your stomach church, he lines his hips against your reluctantly spread legs and you feel the hot, thick tip prodding against the tautly pulled walls of your entrance. It’s enough to renew your childlike kicking and whining, babbling and pleading for him to stop. Regardless, he pays you no mind, opting only to yank his hand from the roots of your hair. It stings and he takes several strands of hair with it, but you don’t have time to focus on the pain as his fingertips dig into the fat of your cheeks, flexing and forcing you to look up at him as he hunches his wiry frame over yours.
It’s hard to see through the haze of tears that blear your vision and thick black makeup caking around your eyes, but you can make out that he’s smiling. If you can call it that, that is. Cracked lips wet and parted, breathing hot, moist breath down onto your forehead. Lips curled upward in a nasty, smarmy grin. A slimy tongue trails along his teeth as he practically drools down onto your shoulder like you’re a thick cut of venison and he’s a rabid wolf ready to sink in his canines.
“You know, I never cared much for Halloween,” His hips cant forward ever so slightly and begins to push the tip inside your unwilling hole. Slowly, slowly at first, but soon with more force. It hurts, morphing from a dull ache into an intense sting the more his girthy length is stuffed snug inside between your thighs. “But Dabi was right- it’s a lot more fun when you dress up.”
To punctuate the end of his sentence, he pulses his hips forward, sinking himself all the way inside and watching with a sick sense of glee as your face contorts in pain. He rolls his hips experimentally against your backside a few times, hissing in slight discomfort at the bittersweet tightness that strangles his flesh inside of yours. It stills him only for a brief moment, long enough for you to truly grasp the horrendous sensation of your body molding to accommodate something too large for it to have been ready to take.
However uncomfortable he may be, it’s nothing compared to what you’re feeling. It seems like a cruel joke that the wanted villain who set his sights on you that night would also have a monster cock, but Halloween was always the devil’s little prank show. He’s crammed it inside you with no regard for the damage it might do, pain radiating in the deep of your stomach as his cockhead is scrunched firmly against the wall of your cervix. Your fingers dig deeper into the dirt, but not to escape. You’re aware you’re too firmly impaled on him for that to be an option, so you settle for trying to give yourself any sensation at all that will lessen the unholy tear of your already sensitive pussy.
Eventually he decides he’s had enough of memorizing your pretty, anguished face, and his movements begin anew. Hips pistoning in a building rhythm, flesh of his thighs slapping obscenely against your bare ass. The protruding stem of the pumpkin grates into your abdomen, forcing pained, breathy ‘ah’s from you with every powerful hump. The anguishing drag of his cock assaulting your insides begins to blend together one after the next, and you do your best to block out the animalistic grunts and a sickening moans he emits with every thrust.
Eventually he lets your face go in favor of sinking his fingers just below your waist to anchor you in place as he pounds away, and you take the opportunity to drop your head in defeat and clench your eyes shut. He’ll get bored of you or he’ll cum. It’s what comes after that you should really be worried about. By the sounds he’s making, he’s far from losing interest. He seems to be getting a bit carried away, muttering something along the lines of “take it, slut” and needing to celebrate holidays more often.
That’s when you hear it.
Spooky, scary, skeletons send shivers down your spine
At first, you think it’s a joke. Like you’re having some sort of twisted nightmare and reality has finally decided to throw you a bone to lead your consciousness back home. But his manic fucking never stops and neither does the pain.
Shrieking souls with shock your soul, seal your doom tonight
A few blinks to clear the fresh wave of agony and one hand digging into the side of the pumpkin to stable yourself enough against his rutting to search for the source of the noise. There’s a glowing light a few feet from you, flashing and vibrating but just out of reach.
Your phone. It’s your phone. Your bag had landed not far from where he had you pinned, and your phone had been thrown from the bag.
Your new October ringtone plays through the damaged speakers, flashing your best friends face on the screen. She’s looking for you, probably wondering where you went. She’d never find you here. No one would.
We’re so sorry skeletons, you’re so misunderstood
Help is so close, yet so far away. Your sobs begin anew, feeling his cock pulse as he whines something about breeding his pretty little bitch into your ear. He’s cumming inside you, papping his hips against you in a shallow, offbeat rhythm. You can feel it, hear it squelching and leaking down your thighs. He came. Inside you. And judging from what few words you can make out between your agonized cries, he has every intention of doing it again.
You just want to socialize but I don’t think we should

Track by Track Review - Hottest 100 2020
Wrote this article a little bit ago just for fun. Decided to post it on here with the thought of maybe getting back to the Bish Review. Also, put an asterix next to my votes (songs that made my top 10). Anyway, here we go:
100. Kool - BENEE
One of the many gems from ‘Hey u x’. Unlucky to hear her biggest hit so early on.
99. Itch - Hockey Dad
I thought ‘Brain Candy’ was a little bit of a disappointment, but Itch was one of the strongest tracks they duo have released.
98. Your Man - Joji
Surprised to hear this track in the countdown. Pretty solid tune though
97. Audacity (feat. Headie One) - Stormzy
He’s still one of the best from the UK rap scene and this track shows why.
96. Germaphobe - Hockey Dad
One of the weaker tracks, I thought, off Brain Candy, but not surprised a lot of Hockey Dad fans liked this one. Definitely plays into their audience’s taste.
95. Loose Ends (feat. G Flip) - Illy
I do not like Aussie Hip Pop. This track is not an exception.
94. Rain (feat. Tay Keith) - Aitch and AJ Tracey
The piano in this is very ‘Humble’ - Kendrick Lamar. Still a banger though.
93. Lemonade (feat. Gunna, Don Toliver and NAV) - Internet Money
Bit of a forgettable track. It’s okay, but feels like there’s a lot better like this out there.
92. These Days - Thelma Plum
First cover of the countdown. Still one of the best Hottest 100 number ones, and Thelma does it justice.
91. Charlie - Bugs
Second cover of the countdown. I do like this but I feel it doesn’t reach the same heights as the original.
90. No Time To Die - Billie Eilish
A little expected from Eilish but still a solid Bond song (the second in history to make it).
89. In Her Eyes - The Jungle Giants
I cannot wait for the new Jungle Giants album. They’ve gotten better and better with each release.
88. Heart Attack (feat. lau.ra) - BRONSON*
I fell deeply in love with this song the second I heard it. It just has this quiet yet strong emotion behind it. The production on it is something else as well.
87. Three Leaf Clover - Teenage Joans
A really solid debut single by the Unearthed High winners. Can’t wait to hear more from them.
86. Laugh Now Cry Now (feat. Lil Durk) - Drake
I still don’t get the hype for Drake. The falsetto “baby” in the chorus also never ceases to make me laugh.
85. Too Tough Terry - Dune Rats
Dunies slow descent from mature stoner pop to edgy tracks for teens has been hard to watch. This song just seems like a parody of the band.
84. Chicken Tenders - Dominic Fike
Has to be the sexiest song about the best thing in the frozen food section at the supermarket. Pity the album didn’t live up to the hype.
83. Down For You - Cosmo’s Midnight and Ruel
I was really keen for this once I heard about the collaboration between the two. Unfortunately it felt a little too much like a Ruel song and it doesn’t really feel like Cosmo’s Midnight had much of a touch on it.
82. The Clap - The Chats
It’s a bit generic for The Chats but I just like hearing them get more popular. Just hilarious dudes.
81. Weightless - Spacey Jane
One of the stronger and more unique tracks on Sunlight. The synth touches really suit the band.
80. Freaks - FISHER
Cannot wait for FISHER to just slowly fade away. His tracks all sound the same and are so basic.
79. my future - Billie Eilish
One of the best tracks Eilish has released. Love how this just turns halfway through from a really soft ballad to a bit of an electro pop song.
78. Lady Marmalade - G Flip
It’s a nice cover. The video of G Flip performing it though is really fun.
77. House Arrest - Sofi Tukker and Gorgon City
This song bangs pretty hard. I like a lot of Sofi Tukker have really been putting out some solid stuff.
76. Baby It’s You - London Grammar
This is a great track, that synth in the chorus is heavenly.
75. Photo ID - Remi Wolf
I do like this song but it reminds me of a track from the 80s or 90s and I can’t put my finger on what that track is.
74. Scream Drive Faster - LAUREL
When I first heard this I thought Ladyhawke was back in the mainstream. Little disappointed it wasn’t, but this slaps.
73. Don’t Need You - Genesis Owusu*
Possibly the best chorus of the year. Owusu has stepped up massively in the Australian Hip Hop scene.
72. Way Down - Ocean Alley
Ocean Alley have plateaued. ‘Lonely Diamond’ just felt like the band had become comfortable.
71. Obey - Bring Me The Horizon and YUNGBLUD
I just can’t take BMTH seriously anymore. They’re music has become so comically edgy.
70. Low - Chet Faker
Hey look, Nick Murphy has become Chet Faker again. Don’t know why he changes between the two when one is just slightly more soulful than the other, but he does release nice tunes.
69. Second - Hope D
I do like this female, Aussie version of Jamie T. It’s a really nice track. Also the number 69 is claimed by Hope D. haha.
68. Lie to Me - Vera Blue
I don’t know what it is exactly, but there’s something about Vera which just puts her on a different level than her counterparts. She’s just that consistently good.
67. Boss Bitch - Doja Cat
This track doesn’t get old for me. It’s so much fun, and Doja Cat owns it. Love it.
66. Fantasising - Skegss
This track really does have a very “Three Leaf Clover” vibe. I have enjoyed Skegss in the past but their new stuff hasn’t captured my attention really. Seems a bit run of the mill.
65. C’MON (feat. Travis Barker) - Amy Shark
I actually don’t mind this song, but why does it feature Travis Barker. It’s a piano ballad featuring a punk drummer, and he really doesn’t do that much. I’m confused, was he jealous of Mark Hoppus?
64. Soak Me In Bleach - The Amity Affliction
The song title reflects my thoughts when I hear that The Amity Affliction have released a new one. There are so many better Aussie metal bands out there.
63. Day & Age - Ball Park Music
BPM have a knack for writing amazing ballads. I wasn’t huge on their latest album, but tracks like this continue me having them in my good books.
62. Run - Joji
One of the best tracks Joji has released. A really mature song for the artist and a step in the right direction for him.
61. Pretty Grim - Ruby Fields
Ruby is good, but I feel she’s starting to release the same song over and over. Need something fresh.
60. Go (feat. Juice WRLD) - The Kid LAROI
Probably the strongest track by The Kid LAROI, but Juice WRLD outshines him just due to his vocal tone. He just sounds better.
59. Gimme Love - Joji
And that’s three for Joji. I really like how this song has two distinct sections and both are solid without overshadowing the other.
58. Fly Away - Tones and I
I still don’t get why Tones and I puts on that fake accent in her songs. It just detracts from what could be a nice pop song.
57. Sobercoaster - Beddy Rays
Really didn’t expect this to get so high. I’m happy though because it’s a really fun song.
56. On The Line - San Cisco
Tracks like this keep me invested in San Cisco. They can really release some brilliant stuff.
55. I Think You’re Great - Alex The Astronaut
The fine line between overly chessy and adorably optimistic is what Alex walks on with every track. I think this falls on the former side sadly.
54. Blue - Eiffel 65 (Flume Remix)
The fact that Flume puts so much of his identity into this remix is why Flume has been one of the most successful Aussie acts this past decade.
53. In Your Eyes - The Weeknd
If The Weeknd release ‘Blinding Lights’ a month later I’d believe that he would take out this countdown. He didn’t though and instead we are left with this solid track in the bottom 50.
52. The Glow - DMA’s
Why? Why did DMA’s have to get so poppy and generic. I loved their first two album, but I struggled to get through the third.
51. Your Love (Déjà Vu) - Glass Animals
Out of the three big hits the band had in 2020, this is the most underrated. There is so much going on here, yet it never feels muddled. Wavey Davey on fire here.
50. Nothing To Love About Love - Peking Duk and The Wombats
Although this is a nice song, there’s been so many 80s electro pop throwbacks recently that have been done better that this collab just fades into the background.
49. Wishing Well - Juice WRLD
This song is so beautiful and heart-breaking. Really shows why Juice WRLD became such a beloved artist so quickly.
48. Ain’t It Different (feat. AJ Tracey and Stormzy) - Headie One
This is a really cool collab. They use the Red Hot Chili Peppers sample so well and really flow so well with it that it feels almost effortless.
47. Animals - Architects
I like a lot about this track, but the chorus really hits another level. Feels cathartic to scream along to.
46. Pretty Lady - Tash Sultana
Was hoping Tash would move into a more psychedelic direction with their newer stuff, but this is still a fine track.
45. as long as you care - Ruel
A pretty by the books Ruel song, but he really does this style so well.
44. You & I - G Flip
Probably G Flips strongest release this year. The chorus has a lot of flavour.
43. together - Ziggy Alberts
Generic acoustic track by generic Byron Bay artist. He really took the cake this year for dumbest comparison, when he compared wearing a face mask to the holocaust. Thought he’d suffer a bit for it, but apparently his fanbase grew stronger.
42. WHATS POPPIN - Jack Harlow
Jack Harlow is just so much fun. He’s killing it, and WHATS POPPIN is proof of that. Keep the bangers coming Harlow.
41. I Still Dream About You - The Smith Street Band
I felt I was growing out of The Smith Street Band, their newer music just not resonating to me. Then they drop this and make me a big fan again.
40. Come & Go (with Marshmello) - Juice WRLD
Just that chorus. It is so enjoyable. He really was going places.
39. Righteous - Juice WRLD
A back to back, and from one of the more exciting songs on the album we get to one of the more sombre tracks. Everything from the guitar, the vocals, those synth notes. . . this track is just a perfect send off for the artist. R.I.P. Juice.
38. Parasite Eve - Bring Me The Horizon
This song is so unironically cringe and edgy that it somehow becomes ironically fun. It does the full circle.
37. SO DONE - The Kid LAROI
I do like The Kid LAROI, but his vocals on this, combined with the lyrics, just make him sound like a child chucking a temper tantrum. It does make me laugh though.
36. forget me too (feat. Halsey) - Machine Gun Kelly
If this song was released in the early 00s (where it belongs), it would’ve faded into oblivion. At least Halsey sounds pretty solid on her verse though.
35. Running Red Lights (feat. Rivers Cuomo & Pink Siifu) - The Avalanches*
My personal number one for the year. This song has that melancholic, nostalgic feel to it that just hits home every time. Also one of Cuomo’s strongest vocal performances.
34. Everybody Rise - Amy Shark
This song is fine. I wouldn’t go out of my way to listen to it, but it’s fun to sing-a-long to.
33. Breathe Deeper - Tame Impala
One of the best tracks from The Slow Rush. I love that piano motif throughout, and the bass is so funky. That weird bridge section towards the end is also pretty slick.
32. Criminals - DMA’s
The real criminals are the ones who told DMA’s this was a good idea. I just can’t get around their new stuff. I miss ‘Hill’s End’ and ‘For Now’.
31. Reasons - San Cisco
Tracks like this keep me from becoming a full time fan of San Cisco. They can really release some average stuff.
30. Bagi-la-m Bargan (feat. Fred Leone) - Birdz
Powerful. Birdz really took it to another level here.
29. Dribble - Sycco
Although I find there’s a lot of similar stuff out there, I think Sycco does sound like an original voice in the Australian music scene. She’s killing it.
28. Straightfaced - Spacey Jane
Although there was a lot of good stuff on Spacey Jane’s debut album, I found it to be quite repetitive. This track was one of the ones that I found to fade into the background instead of standing out.
27. Under the Thunder - Skegss
I really want to like Skegss, they’ve released some great tunes in the past. But this just doesn’t do it for me. It’s just boring.
26. No Plans To Make Plans - Lime Cordiale
Everything that makes new The Rubens tracks so average is presented here on a Lime Cordiale track. Obnoxiously quirky.
25. Reality Check Please - Lime Cordiale
Hey back to back Lime Cordiale tracks. And another one of their weaker ones. ‘Addicted to the Sunshine’ did this chorus better.
24. Blue World - Mac Miller
Didn’t expect this to make it so high but so well deserved. This song slaps hard but still continues the tragic story that is presented on his posthumous album ‘Circles’.
23. Good News - Mac Miller*
Back to back Mac! To be honest, I am close to tears every time this track plays. If only the lyrics “there's a whole lot more for me waiting/I know maybe I'm too late, I could make it there some other time/Then I'll finally discover/That it ain't that bad” were told to Mac before his passing, because he did have so much more to offer. R.I.P. Mac.
22. Complicated - Eves Karydas
This song is so good. I’ve heard it that many times but it still hasn’t lost its shine. So damn good.
21. Energy - KLP and Stace Cadet
I was really hoping this would crack top 20. Probably the best Dance track of the year. Such a jam.
20. Addicted To The Sunshine - Lime Cordiale
Despite thinking that ‘14 Steps To A Better Living’ didn’t have many new tracks that were that good on it, this one is nice. It’s just a pleasantly nice song.
19. You Should Be Sad - Halsey
I really don’t like Pop Country music but I also find it hilarious that the genre cracked the top 20. ‘09 Taylor Swift would be proud.
18. Tangerine - Glass Animals
With Tik Tok exploding in 2020 I don’t get how this didn’t get adopted by someone on it. It’s so primed to get hyped on it.
17. Is It True - Tame Impala
I think Kevin Parker’s vocals on this are underwhelming, but that might just be because the instrumental slaps that hard. The rhythm section is so tight.
16. Screw Loose - Lime Cordiale
This sound is what Lime Cordiale do best. We need more dub influence and less elevator pop influence.
15. Skin - Spacey Jane
No matter what you think about Spacey Jane, they sure do make some emotional tracks. One of the most powerful songs on Sunlight.
14. Tombstone - Ocean Alley
The verses are average and pretty bland but the chorus is amazing. Just don’t think the album resonated with me too much, and Tombstone is another mixed track off it.
13. Rockstar - Mallrat
Possibly Mallrat’s best song yet. Her laid back, relaxed style mixed with the low-fi production really meshes well.
12. Get on the Beers (feat. Dan Andrews) - Mashd N Kutcher
I’m not going to pretend this is my style, but the way this has resonated with Australians during lockdown last year makes the track way smarter than it deserves to be. It’s both ironically and unironically good.
11. On Our Own - Lime Cordiale
I’m happy the three best new tracks of Lime Cordiale’s debut were the highest placing in this countdown. This really is a nice song.
10. Therefore I Am - Billie Eilish
Not my favourite songs from Billie but she continues to be consistently good. The production on this is immense as well.
9. I’m Good? - Hilltop Hoods
I wish old school Hilltop could hear this so could prevent themselves every going this direction. Aussie Hip Pop is not a good genre. This is one of their worst tracks yet.
8. Sending Me Ur Loving - The Jungle Giants*
This song has so much flavour too it. It’s so funky and fun and the production is so tight. Also the guitar work is underrated here, not doing much but adding that icing on the cake.
7. Hyperfine - G Flip
Every time I hear this track (and I’ve heard it a lot) I completely forget about it a couple minutes later. G Flip is good, but this is forgettable.
6. WAP (feat. Megan Thee Stallion) - Cardi B
I understand if this isn’t your style, but I love it. I don’t think there’s ever been a song with so many quotable moments. Every line makes a statement that will get in your head. My personal favourite? “ I let him taste it, now he diabetic”.
5. Lost In Yesterday - Tame Impala
There’s a lot of songs on ‘The Slow Rush’ I like, but Lost In Yesterday I’ve always found kinda boring. It feels a little uninspired. Surprised that this was the album’s big hit.
4. Cherub - Ball Park Music*
BPM have released some great music over the decade but I think this is their best yet. It’s beautiful, emotional and has a fantastic, cathartic breakdown at the end. I love a good build up.
3. The Difference (feat. Toro y Moi) - Flume*
Everything about this track is why Flume has been so great for so long. This track is great for any situation. If I’m partying, I play it. If I’m relaxing, I play it. If I’m getting pumped up, I play it. If I’m sad, I play it. Flexibility matters.
2. Booster Seat - Spacey Jane
OHHH-OH-OHHHHHHHH AND IT FEELS LIKE THAT AGAIN! One of the best sing-a-long tracks of the year, yet massively emotional. Like damn this song is rough.
1. Heat Waves - Glass Animals*
If I had one word to express how I feel about this winning I would say “deserved”. Not many tracks were as perfect for 2020 as this one. Glass Animals love writing absolute bangers with emotional cores and this one is one of their strongest tracks. Glass Animals just continue to outdo themselves.
That’s it for now, gonna maybe start posting again. I dunno. See how I feel. Ta-ta.

Mine | Darren Treacy x Reader
Word count: 2.3k
Prompt: I wish you'd write a fic where someone else is hitting on the reader and Darren gets jealous first but then he realizes that the reader was kind of uncomfortable with the flirting and it turns into possessive sex but in a soft way.
Requested by: Anonymous
Warnings: Jealousy, Slight noncon, Possessive!Darren, rough sex
Tumblr media
The music pulsed through you as you danced in Darren’s arms, his hands sliding lower down your backside as your arms snaked round his neck. It’d been a while since you’d been able to let loose and just enjoy yourself, forgetting about your problems if for just a little while -- Darren having been busier than ever with work.
Swaying in time to the beat you tilted your head back as Darren leaned down to kiss you, his grasp on your waist tightening as his lips moved against yours.
“Y’havin’ fun?” he asked, his nose brushing yours and you nodded, smiling up at him, your fingers toying with a lock of hair at the nape of his neck.
“Are you?” you countered and a grin tugged at his lips.
“‘Course, I’m with you,” he replied, as if you even had to ask, and you laughed as he pulled you closer, barely any space between your bodies.
Once the song ended and a new one started you pulled Darren from the floor. “You thirsty? I’m gunna go get us some beers,” you exclaimed over the music and Darren nodded, watching as you slipped out of his arms and through the crowd to the bar.
“Hey! Two lagers, please!” you called to the bartender and leaned against the counter to wait.
“Never seen you round before,” the guy waiting at the bar next to you called over the music and you flashed him a perfunctory grin.
“An’ you remember every single person that comes here, yeah?” you scoffed, glancing over at Darren through the crowd; he seemed to be checking his phone.
“All the regulars at least,” the bloke replied self importantly, his eyes slipping shamelessly down your body, “an’ I know for a fact I’d definitely remember you if I’d seen yeh before.”
Glancing impatiently past him, you wondered what the fuck was taking the bartender so long -- you’d only ordered two fuckin’ beers, but he seemed to be too busy chattin’ up some bird at the other end of the bar.
“Well, y’caught me,” you quipped, trying to keep it friendly and hoping either the bartender would come back with your drinks or that Darren would come over to rescue you. “This is my first time here.”
“Yeh havin’ a good time then?” he asked, moving subtly closer and you took a half step back, leaning as far away as possible without looking like you were.
“Yeah, it’s alright,” you answered, tempted to pull out your phone to text Darren.
“Just alright? I could show yeh a good time, sweetheart,” the man next to you offered.
Finally the bartender returned with your beers in hand and the bloke that kept pestering you glanced at the pair of bottles and frowned. “Y’here with someone?”
“Yep,” you answered, handing the bartender a bill and telling him to keep the change, just wanting to get out of there.
“A friend?” the guy pressed and you clenched your jaw, hoping your next answer would finally dissuade him.
“My boyfriend, actually.”
The fellow’s brows rose and he glanced around skeptically. “Where’s he at then? If you were my girl, I’d not letcha outta my sight.”
The smile plastered to your face felt strained and you glanced around once more for Darren, but he was nowhere to be found. “He’s…”
“Y’know what I think?” the bloke exclaimed, cutting you off, “I think you’re just playin’ hard t’get and there’s really no boyfriend.” He leaned in, placing his hand on your hip and his other on the edge of the bar behind you, caging you in, your back pressing uncomfortably into the counter as you tried to pull back, your skin crawling.
Where the hell are you, Darren?
——
As soon as [y/n] slipped through the crowd to the bar, Darren’s eyes followed her. He couldn’t help but admire his girlfriend’s retreating backside, not when she was wearing those tight lovely jeans he loved so much, and she turned to flash him a bright grin over her shoulder before leaning against the bar to wait for their drinks, giving him a nice view.
His phone buzzed in his pocket and Darren pulled it out to make sure it wasn’t something important, reluctantly tearing his eyes from [y/n]. Finding only a series of drunk texts from Nidge, he grinned as he fired off a smart-ass response.
What was takin’ [y/n] so long? He wondered, and when he looked back up however, his grin faltered. Some guy had joined her at the bar and his gut twisted as she smiled at the bloke and he leaned in closer, chatting her up.
Was she flirtin’ with him? Darren thought incredulously, an irrational spike of jealousy ripping through him and he could already feel his breath growing short.
The fellow at the bar moved closer yet, his hand coming to rest on [y/n]’s waist and that’s when he noticed it, the way [y/n]’s eyes desperately searched the crowd for him, the barely concealed disgust in her expression and in her body language -- the way she pulled away, her lips twisting in a grimace, and Darren didn’t waste any more time making his way over to the bar, his face set, anger seething beneath.
“C’mon, what d’you say we get outta here and I’ll show yeh a real good time--”
“This guy botherin’ yeh, [y/n]?” Darren asked, cutting the guy off as he strode to the bar and the relief in [y/n]’s eyes as they met his only made his rage burn hotter.
“Piss off mate, she’s spoken for,” the bloke had the audacity to exclaim and even [y/n] opened her mouth in indignation, but Darren was quicker. Grabbing the guy’s wrist he twisted, pulling his arm away from [y/n] who quickly stepped behind him.
“Touch my girlfriend again and you’ll lose that hand,” he hissed, his eyes flashing dangerously.
“Hey, back off!” the other bloke snarled, ripping his arm out of Darren’s grasp. “D’you even know who you’re dealin’ with?” he demanded and Darren shrugged, rolling his shoulders.
“No and I don’ really care,” he replied evenly and for a moment the other fellow looked nervous -- his line no doubt usually working on lower level thugs.
“Darren, c’mon, let’s get outta here,” [y/n] begged softly, pulling at his sleeve and yet he didn’t back down.
“You even so much as look at my girl again, I’ll fuckin’ kill yeh,” Darren breathed, a promise in his dark gaze and the guy backed away warily.
“Y-you’re not so tough,” he countered with trembling bravado, the tremor in his voice clear. “I think I could take yeh, y’scrawny bastard.”
“Darren, don’t, it’s not fuckin’ worth it,” [y/n] said, flashing the guy a warning look and Darren glanced down to meet her level gaze, silently relenting.
“You remember what I said, yeah?” Darren asked, giving the bloke one last warning, pulling his knife from his jacket to flip open and point at him, making the threat real before he pocketed it again and slipped his arm around [y/n]’s shoulders as they walked to the door, their drinks left forgotten at the bar.
——
“You alright?” Darren asked softly as you got to the car and you nodded, wrapping your arms around yourself.
“I am now.”
The drive home Darren was eerily silent, his hand resting on your thigh and you could practically see the residual anger churning in his emerald eyes, usually so soft when they looked at you, though you knew his anger wasn’t aimed toward you.
Inside your flat you slipped your hand in his, turning toward him in the dark hall, not even bothering to turn a light on.
“Are you alright, Darren?” you asked, stepping into his space and tilting your head to gaze up at him.
Avoiding your gaze for a moment he sighed. “I s’pose,” he answered slowly, running his hands up your arms. “I feel bad your night was ruined because we hadta leave early,” he admitted.
“That’s alright, it was a boring scene anyway,” you said with a shrug, “but the night’s still young, y’know. There’s a few things we could do right here,” you mused, stepping closer, and before you knew it Darren’s lips were on yours, stealing your breath with an insistent kiss.
Backing you toward the bedroom, his tongue warring with yours, he lifted you suddenly and you made a startled sound which he promptly swallowed, not pausing in his exploration of your mouth as he carried you through the door, your legs obediently wrapped round his waist.
Just as suddenly as he’d kissed you in the hall he was tossing you down to the bed, his hands sliding under your shirt to work it over your head, his mouth back on yours as soon as the garment was gone, kissing you roughly as his hands grabbed at your tits, reaching behind you to unclasp your bra.
Working his way down your neck and exploring your chest with his mouth he fumbled at the button and zipper of your jeans, yanking them down along with your knickers til you were laid bare before him.
Straightening he took a moment to admire you, stretched out on the bed and gazing up at him, pupils blown wide with lust, the pulse of your arousal filling you, your cunt aching for him.
The ghost of a pleased smirk crossed his face before he pulled his shirt over his head and shed the rest of his clothes, crawling atop you to kiss you deeply, his hand running up your body til he’d trapped your wrists above your head in one hand.
“Not that I’m complainin’, but what’s gotten into yeh, Darren?” you asked breathlessly, your eyes searching his. He didn’t often handle you so roughly and while it excited you, you had a feeling it had to do with what had happened earlier.
“You’re mine, [y/n],” he murmured fiercely, a tremor to his voice as his gaze took you in, settling on your face. “When he put his hands on yeh, I — I could feel my blood start t’boil.”
“Oh, Darren,” you breathed, holding his gaze, wanting so badly to hold him, to show him he had nothing to fear. Sensing your need to touch him he loosened his grasp on your wrists and you reached up to cup his cheeks, caressing his skin as he lowered his face once more to yours, nuzzling against you.
“I love you,” you murmured, “and I’m all yours.”
“I love you too,” he replied, his eyelashes fluttering against your cheek.
For a moment you stayed that way, relishing in the tenderness of the moment and the love in his voice, but you wanted Darren to take you, to make you scream. You wanted him to be possessive tonight.
Taking his hand you slowly guided it down your body, slipping his fingers between your thighs and you felt him instantly stiffen, his breathing hitching sharply.
“See what y’do to me, Darren, how wet y’make me. I’m only wet for you, baby,” you purred in his ear. “I only want you.”
Your words had the desired effect, because moments later he was parting your legs and sliding into you without hesitation, gripping your thighs tightly as he lifted them, pinning your down and driving into you, filling you to the hilt each time his hips met yours.
“I’m th’only one who gets t’see you like this,” Darren growled as he fucked you, pressing you deeper into the mattress with each relentless thrust. “I’m th’only one who can make yeh scream, that can use this tight little cunt. God, you’re so beautiful fucked out like this,” he groaned, resting his forehead against your shoulder as he thrusted deeper, sweat coating his skin.
“Oh f-fuck, Darren!” you cried, your fingers digging into the muscles of his back as you wrapped your arms around him, pleasure coursing through you, dragging you to the edge.
“Is this what y’wanted, baby?” he asked, panting harder, the sound of his skin slapping against yours as he fucked you faster, harder, filled the room, almost overpowering your constant stream of moans and whimpers; the only other words to leave your lips were half bitten off curses and his name.
“Y-yes, oh God yes, Darren!” you answered readily, your walls trembling and clenching around him, so close to your climax.
“I want yeh to say my name when y’come,” he exclaimed, his eyes meeting yours. “I want y’to scream it, t’let all of Dublin know who you belong to.”
You nodded.
And when you came, it was Darren’s name on your lips, tumbling from your mouth, your voice raw with it. Only then did he follow you, finishing inside you with several last shuddering thrusts, pushing himself as deep as he could as he filled you. Squeezing him tighter, you buried your face to his chest, holding him to you as he collapsed against you, not yet able to pull out.
“That… that was…” he panted, trying to get the words out, but you shushed him, pulling him down next to you to cradle with your body, uncaring that you were stuck together with sweat. Stroking his hair and rubbing his back you soothed him, whispering soft reassurance into his ears.
“I love you. I’m yours, Darren. That was amazing. God, y’feel so good.”
Relaxing in your embrace Darren tilted his head back, meeting your gaze as he pushed your sweat dampened hair from your eyes. “I love you,” he repeated fiercely. “I love yeh so much.”
“I know,” you assured him, pressing a sweet kiss to his swollen lips. “Now hold me,” you begged though it was more of a command and Darren pulled you closer, fitting your head beneath his chin.
“I can do that,” he murmured and you once again relished in the overwhelming love you felt in his embrace.

You know what fic we need but we (probably) don't have?
Ben Kenobi, after getting his Whills training, traveled back in time (with a small set of Rules of course), gets killed by Maul instead of Qui-Gon, and then reappearing as a Force ghost on his own funeral saying something stupid like: "Why do you look at me as if you're seeing a ghost? By the way, being on your own funeral is pretty weird."
The line was so stupid that Quinlan, who got back to the Temple for the funeral and was this close to emotional breakdown with ugly big tears tries to kill Obi-Wan again on his own funeral, and Obi-Wan will be forever amused by that later, but now he has to calm Quinlan down before he actually goes and hurts himself accidentally.
And that's how Obi-Wan becomes a lineage ghost of Yoda Lineage.
He can't really say anything about the future, it's in the Rules™, but he can give 'subtle' hints like "Anakin, Palpatine is making me uncomfortable, he's weird, let's not see him ever again" and quoting some real obscure Tatooine fairy Yale about an old man who was pretending to be kind, but was a slaver in disguise and that was how he aquaired his slaves, and Anakin is like:"Oh shit, you're right", because he's nine and Obi-Wan 'til this point has proven he's a fun companion to have and such, even with those small hiccups here and there, and he doesn't need a greater reason or explanation, he just goes "Oh no mistah, you won't fuck with me, I'm not gunna become slave again'.
Qui-Gon, like the rest, is pretty much 'what the fuck' when Obi-Wan comes back, but then becomes suspicious, because he's fairly sure Obi-Wan didn't tag along Qui-Gon on his Whills lessons, and yet here he is, in his all blue glory, but has to accept it's indeed Obi-Wan, because it's actually impossible to forge your own Force signature in, well, in the Force. And the remains of the training bond he still can feel connecting to the ghost in a very weird way. Obi-Wan of course doesn't help him at all, doesn't suggest anything and just trolls Qui-Gon to hell and back. And that's how Qui-Gon Has been ultimately convinced this is Obi-Wan, because there is no other person alive or dead that has that much blackmail material about Qui-Gon except for Obi-Wan. And Mace Windu, but this guy is still alive and kicking and having headaches that have headaches.
And of course, Obi-Wan trolls Palpatine in his office, and Palpatine can't even react because The blue Menace would just rat him out to the council and have him killed, so he has to endure a 3 hour lecture about baby tookas, an hour of being offended in the most creative way, and then a 5 hour lecture of history of comedy, because sometimes Obi-Wan really doesn't have anything to do, or anyone to annoy, so he will just busy himself with driving Palps insane. Well, more insane than he already is.

Killermare - Little Moon
Very brief setup. Made in an AU where Dream defeats Nightmare and becomes god of both positivity and negativity, but Nightmare barely lives. He’s close to mortal (uncorrupted) and living alone in a random AU, but bad guys squad finds him and just chill a lot since they all realized that they might be the only friends they had. Established Killermare.
Words: 1.3k
---
“What’s up Nightlight?” Killer closed the door behind him. He’d re-picked up the habit pretty quickly when the rest of the guys started making themselves at home in the small house. Nightmare sat at the edge of the bed, leaning back on his arms. His face was flushed purple, very nervous and opposite of his body language. It was amazing how much the corruption had hid or eradicated in his boyfriend.
“I wanted to speak with you alone.” His voice was soft, not the piercing presence of a king, not the sharp but clear voice audible at every volume. This felt close, private. Nightmare’s less aggressive side was new to all of them.
“Well you got my attention. Not that you don’t have it all the time anyway.” Killer’s smile climbed into something sly. He cupped a purple cheek in his right hand, the curve of Night’s hip in his left. His thumb rubbed softly into the ecto he could feel underneath (he’d gotten a peek when Nightmare had leaned back, a thin line of purple barely visible under his clothes), wondering why he was summoned when this didn’t feel like that kind of night. “So what’s up Boss?”
He laughed at Nightmare’s annoyed pout. He leaned in to kiss it happily. His hand tilted back Night’s head, mouth opening to deepen the little kiss, though he didn’t delve too deep. Killer wouldn’t be able to stop if he got too far.
“I told you not to call me that.” Nightmare’s eyes wouldn’t meet his. “I’m not the boss of any of you anymore. I have nothing but my life, and barely that.” His hands rested at the base of his hood, playing with the strings to tighten it. “I don’t want you to think of me as some lord you must obey. Especially not now.”
Killer pushed him back, hovering over his body. He pinned Night with just his stare.
“I obey you when I want to. Nothin’ more, nothin’ less. You just happen to be a little more...academic than me.” Not smart, never smart. He and Dust both had a long life full of planning and killing. Dust had him beat in pure power, but his head was screwed on a little tighter and that edge made a lot of difference. He could plan, but the long overarching consequences of actions were more Nightmare’s game.
Night still wouldn’t meet his eyes.
“I know I make you speechless, but this is unusual even for you.” Killer leaned down to kiss the curve of Nightmare’s neck. “It’s almost like you’re scared.” He whispered it along the bones, the tiny gasp flaring up the heat in Killer’s body.
“I am.”
That drew Killer up to look Nightmare in the face. He could see tears building in his eyes, the first one sliding over an ivory cheek.
The idea of Nightmare being terrified of anything besides one of their own being killed struck him as novel, interesting. Part of him wanted to tease him. The other part, the louder part that gathered Nightmare into his arms for comfort, knew that if it was this upsetting, it was worth him worrying over as well.
“Ain’t nothing taking you from me. And the guys won’t leave. We’ve all gotten used to each other’s weirdness. The rest is small potatoes. Nothing to worry about, no matter what you’re gunna say.”
Nightmare’s legs drew up, trying to curl into a ball in Killer’s arms, so he adjusted to a bridal carry to let him wind in on himself, but still solidly in his grasp. He laid his head against Killer’s arm, and Killer could hear the softest of sobs. He didn’t know if Night always cried this softly or if he was putting on a braver face even in this form. He wasn’t prepared for when his moon looked up at him.
Wide teary eyes, face streaked in lavender trails, brows drawn together in sorrow, and a pained frown, but still on the cutest face he’d ever seen. He’d stared so hard he almost didn’t absorb what Night said.
“I’m pregnant.”
His body reacted on a five second delay. What? His head tilted, eyes squinting in confusion. He was pregnant? I mean, okay, that’s odd, but...wait, how did he…? Had he cheated on him? No, his moon would never. But that meant…
“It’s mine?” His voice sounded a million miles away. Nightmare turned away, a little huff of anger.
“Who else’s would it be?” He curled up tighter in Killer’s grasp. “In even my worst case scenarios, I thought you’d at least know that.” Killer’s face still hadn’t changed from confusion. “Do you think I was SLEEPING AROU-” Nightmare squeaked when his legs were dropped, a hand sliding up from his pelvis.
Killer caught the hem of Nightmare’s shirt with his thumb, dragging it up along the smooth purple ecto. He pushed it as far as it would go before his vision refocused.
A very tiny souling floated in the center of him, a bit below Nightmare’s apple soul. It vibrated when Killer laid his hand over the tiny heart.
This was real. Nightmare was carrying his baby, a little soul made of just them.
“Holy shit.” That was all his brain could think to say. Killer laid Nightmare back on the bed, climbing over him again, stopping his face just above his stomach. He put his head down right over the souling. He could feel the little life pulsing under his skull, and his own eyes had already started to leak red laying there. Killer’s brain only came to under Nightmare’s hand cradling his skull.
“Are you alright?” Killer’s hand laid over Night’s, turning himself over to gently kiss the back of Nightmare’s hand. He left a trail of kisses up his entire arm until he’d reached bright purple cheeks, and then he kissed all over his face. By the time he’d softly kissed his mouth, Nightmare was already crying and clinging to his hoodie. Killer’s tongue slowly tangled with Night’s. The dragging of one over the other sparked soft groans from both, Killer’s hands caught between cradling Nightmare’s face and his child.
“Moon.” He couldn’t move away. His universe had its center, hopelessly trapped in his moon’s orbit until his dying breath. For just a moment, the world ceased to be, held in existence solely by the gravity of his devotion.
“Soul.” God, he’d trade his away with just a word from that smile. He’d been willing to die for just a glance from those violet eyes, the same ones that now never left his side. He kissed each eyelid.
“I love you.” They’d slipped out, straight from the depths of his heart.
“I love you too, my darling Soul.” He felt a finger trace the edges, Nightmare’s fingers so wonderful over his heart. “I...I wasn’t sure how you’d take it. We’ve never talked about children.” Killer’s eyes slipped shut under the attention.
“I had a really bad time with the human one, but if it’s half you, then I’m already in love with ‘em.” He opened them again when Nightmare sniffled. His poor moon had started to cry again. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to make ya cry.” He quickly clanked over each of Night’s falling tears until he heard a laugh under the sobs.
“They’re happy tears Soul. No need to apologize.” He captured Killer’s mouth in a kiss. When they could breathe again, Killer rolled them onto their sides, burying his face into Nightmare’s chest and pulling him close.
“Got any names thought up Nightlight?” He purred into Night’s sternum when the other massaged his skull.
“I hadn’t the time, I was too worried about what you’d say.”
“Told ya, ain’t nothing taking ya from me. Mmmm, do you know of any little moons out there?” He could feel a chuckle rumble up from Night’s chest.
“Plenty come to mind. I hadn’t considered them…”Killer felt the hands on his head still. Nightmare breathed out softly.
“Deimos.”

Deimos is a god of dread, but also Mars’ tiny moon. It also leaves Phobos as a sibling should Night have one.

I would kill for Tony who doesn't really sub or bottom but when Peter convinces him, he absolutely loves it but only because its Peter. Peter tying him up and ducking him till he cums dry? Loves it. Peter laying across Tony's back while they do it from behind? He loves the weight. Peter being an awesome dom even with the aftercare? Please and thank you
Yas boi! I took it in a slightly different direction, but its still what’s in the prompt!
Warnings: bondage, blindfolds, praise kink, orgasm delay, begging, smut.

It had mostly been an accident, Peter ending up the one in charge here. Its not that Tony doesn’t enjoy being on the more submissive side, or that he doesn’t enjoy bottoming, actually he prefers it. He’s got a stressful job that he probably makes harder on himself with his own stupid antics, but still. Its stressful and sometimes he doesn’t want to have to think, to make another fucking decision and he wants to let go. Before Peter inventing took up that task because it comes easy to him, math and science were an easy refuge to take when he has to think so little about what he’s doing.
After Peter though things changed some. It’d been an accident and Tony does it naturally when he gets comfortable with people, allows them a modicum of control in his life. Everyone is a little different- Happy gets to look after his safety and Tony mostly doesn’t think about it because he knows Happy is devoted, sometimes a little too devoted. Pepper is entrusted with all things business, she’s just as smart as him in that area or smarter depending on what needs to be done. Rhodey gets veto in emotional situations because unlike Tony he’s actually good at emotional reasoning and has an actual amount of emotional intelligence. Tony mostly feels like he’s floundering about half the time and he's never been a good judge of character. For all his suspicion he’s not very good at keeping to himself.
Peter, though, somehow ended up in charge of sexual situations. Could, he thinks, be because he’s younger and Tony figured what the hell, let him experiment and figure out what he likes. Tony already has answers to those questions so sure, letting Peter test a few things out wouldn’t really do much. Its not like he had anything against Peter’s suggestions really, its just that people have a strange set of assumptions when it comes to sex and who enjoys what. And Tony has never been fond of anyone who assumes sticking their dick in his ass somehow gives them control over him or means they’re dominant or whatever. Same thing with being supposedly submissive in other areas and so he mostly avoided those things however much he liked them. He felt it best not to play into people’s assumptions lest the consequences be more than he can handle. And that’s happened more than once.
But Peter never really made those assumptions in his exploration, maybe also because of his youth because the youths are pretty fond on not making assumptions, so Tony let him continue on with it. Its not like he wasn’t enjoying himself and without Peter making weird assumptions that he somehow had something over on Tony he found he enjoyed letting Peter handle things a hell of a lot more than he had with anyone else.
“Get out of your head,” Peter all but growls at him. Tony has to clamp his mouth shut to keep from making a noise because Christ Peter maybe hasn’t had a lot of sexual partners before him but he clearly picked up a fucking trick or ten along the way because he’s good. And Peter informs him that he’s really easy to read in bed so figuring out what he liked hadn’t been difficult. Still, if Peter wants him to not make any noise he’s going to get stuck with Tony thinking about something.
“If I’m fucking you, I want you present,” Peter tells him. Yeah, he knows, they’ve talked about it before and Peter knows, he knows how hard this is for Tony. Even if he wasn’t naturally vocal Peter is naturally good and he’s doing that thing Tony likes with his hips and he knows he likes it when he keeps a tight grip on Tony’s hips like that and- “Don’t even think about it,” Peter tells him, knowing him well enough to know what he’s thinking.
He has to keep his whimper to himself so instead he clenches his fists, currently tied to his headboard by his wrists, in an attempt to let some of his frustration go. Peter leans forward, removing one hand from his hip and bracketing Tony’s head in with his arm and he wishes he could see Peter’s face but that mostly makes this more difficult on his end. Peter pretty quickly figured out that he gets almost more pleasure from making his partner feel good than any stimulation on his end. Hence the blindfold, helps him out a little when Peter decides to play his games and Tony likes it too, not quite knowing what to expect from Peter next, the way he forces Tony to remain some kind of alert. Doesn’t always work, its harder when Peter tells him to be quiet because he has to do something to occupy himself while he tries to hold it in but still.
“God, you’re being so good for me this time,” Peter tells him and Tony bites his lip hard. Fuck, mean little bastard he knows how much Tony likes it when Peter tells him he’s good. “You haven’t even made a sound and I can see how much you want to,” Peter tells him, kissing the underside of Tony’s jaw. He tilts his head up to give Peter more access and oh, he doesn’t expect Peter’s teeth to graze that sensitive spot and he has to work to keep quiet.
Peter continues to tease the sensitive spot on his neck and Tony squirms, unable to help himself as Peter thrusts into him soft and slow the way he likes. He wants to make noise, wants to do something but with his hands tied and instructions to keep quiet all he can do is arch his back and pant heavily as he does his best not to do more than that. Peter moans softly in his ear and Tony tries he does but he can’t help the smallest moan in response.
“Shh, don’t ruin a good streak baby, I will leave you here,” he murmurs in Tony’s ear. He wants to protest that, tell Peter that’s not fair at all because that was barely even a slip up and fuck Peter picks up his pace and all Tony can to is swallow his gasp. “Be good for me baby, and I’ll take care of you,” Peter tells him, lips brushing up against his ear and Tony’s eyes roll back a little.
He tugs at his restraints, unsure how to handle himself when he’s restricted from making noise. Peter doesn’t feel the need to follow his own rules and the soft moans he’s letting out are doing more to push Tony to the edge than bring him back from it. He can hear his breathing pick up both from his effort not to make noise and from his effort at holding back humming. He loves all the little noises Peter makes, the way his face looks when he’s really into it, that Tony is the one who does that to him. For him. He bites his lip hard, trying to focus on something else for a moment.
“M’so close,” Peter tells him, voice right in his ear and Tony doesn’t mean to, really, but the moan he lets out can’t be helped. He loves this, loves driving Peter right to the edge and the way his body reacts, god.
Peter pauses and Tony huffs, shaking his head. “No, no, no, no, Peter I gotta cum, please baby I can’t-” he starts but Peter leans in and kisses him softly.
“S’okay baby, I’ll let you,” he says and Tony breathes a sigh of relief as Peter keeps going and yeah that’s what he wants. Without any further instruction to keep quiet he doesn’t bother, allowing himself to react the way he normally would.
“Yeah, Peter, like that. Feel so-oh, yes!” he says, tugging at his restraints again. Peter remains suspiciously quiet but Tony chooses not to dwell on it as Peter’s hand tightens on his hip while the other curls into his hair a little awkwardly considering his position.
“Gunna cum with me, baby?” he asks and Tony nods as frantically as he can with Peter gripping his hair like that. “M’close Tony, so close. You feel so good around me, so tight,” he says in Tony’s ear.
“Fuck, Peter I don’t know if I can hold on much longer,” he says, toes curling as his back arches further into Peter. He’s going to feel that later but he doesn’t care.
“Yes you can,” Peter tells him, “you can hold on until I do.” He leans into Tony’s neck, sucking at that fucking sensitive spot and Tony swears he’s seeing fucking stars as his moans get louder.
“Peter,” Tony says, almost incoherent, lost in sensation. “Please,” he adds and Peter gasps softly. Tony latches onto it fast, “please baby, please let me cum I wanna so bad please!” he gasps out, fingers curling into his palms as Peter moans in his ear.
“Oh my god Tony, oh-” his hips stutter to a stop and Tony cums too, eyes rolling back as his mouth drops open from pleasure because fuck that was good.

Tony is curled against Peter’s chest and he likes this part almost as much as the sex. Peter always takes such good care of him, petting him softly, cleaning him up, feeding him fruits usually. Now is no exception and Tony always feels a little clinger after they do stuff like this anyway. It takes a lot out of him and Peter knows that and accommodates.
He pets Tony’s arm softly, fingers running up and down his skin. “How long will you be gone on that business trip?” he asks softly.
Ugh, not that Tony wanted to go but sadly he’s the damn CEO so he doesn’t get the luxury of skipping out. Actually, he could if he wanted to but he’s a control freak so he won’t. Probably irritates people how often he gets involved in their business when a lot of other people wouldn’t care enough to bother but that’s not his problem.
“A week, why?” he asks. Peter has exams, he lined it up that way on purpose so that Peter won’t miss him so much. Exams are a pretty time consuming distraction and he doesn’t want Peter to feel like he’s waiting around for his return.
Peter kisses the top of his head. “No phone sex, no video sex, no jerking off,” he tells Tony and he lets out an offended noise.
“What?” he asks, turning to face Peter.
He has the audacity to lean forward and kiss him too. “I told you to stay quiet, baby. Maybe next time you’ll listen,” Peter tells him.
Tony sputters for a moment. “No!” he says with meaning and Peter shakes his head.
“Baby, give up the fight now. We both know you’re going to do what I tell you to or I’m going to extend your punishment and you get bitchy when you don’t get your way. Neither of us want to deal with that,” he says, pulling Tony back into him.
He goes, but not willingly. “Should have fucking known something was off when you let me cum,” he mutters darkly, crossing his arms over his chest.
Peter snickers, leaning in and kissing the top of his head again. “If you held back on that I would have let it go,” Peter tells him. He laughs harder when Tony turns around to glare at him and he must have some type of look on his face because Peter thinks its hilarious.
