One thing I haven’t seen anyone post about yet is the “should’ve used our left hand” conversation, and it is so so so important to me.

It’s very rare that we get any verbal confirmation that John—who for all intents and purposes only exists in a meaningful physical capacity through Arthur’s left hand—interacts with the world at all unless it’s in dire circumstances where he has to, like the mines in Addison.

We don’t hear him say “let me get that” or anything active almost ever, and we have to infer that maybe he’s moving around, touching things, gesticulating, guiding Arthur in some small way when he says “here!” but it’s never really said explicitly that he touches things idly sometimes. He usually only helps Arthur, like holding the torch, and doesn’t do much for himself. And yeah, perhaps that would be clunky writing, but it bothered me for a little while.

I’ve always wanted to see him interact with the world more, touch more things, take a little initiative with the body they’re sharing, even if for practical reasons, but if it’s important to him that Arthur has some semblance of control? If he is considering Arthur’s feelings constantly by tamping down the urge to find and seek and know for himself, increasing that sense of isolation? If he’s trying even harder now to take up less space, to make himself small, in order to assuage the prickling guilt he feels for threatening taking that control back from Arthur? If he’s going to do his fucking damnedest to resist the urge to manifest even when the power is right there at his fingertips? Well, then that’s fucking delicious.

Viktor’s different, there’s no doubt about that. Both physically and mentally. He’s still grappling with his new form and with that comes the difficulty of being intimate and vulnerable. Viktor doesn’t quite know what he is, but he knows that he’s not himself anymore. That robe he dons is a way for him to present himself as he was before the explosion; not deformed, composed.

Loving Viktor is slow and gentle. He has always carried himself some decorum, wanting to relish the moment for what it is rather than rushing. That’s only amplified in consideration of the fact he doesn’t know how durable his new state is, or what his limits are. But, in a very Viktor fashion, that’s all the more reason to experiment 💕

Now, the fact that Viktor enjoys the slow aspect of intimacy doesn’t mean he isn’t eager. The fact that he was starved of any contact in the odd Hexcore-mould for the time he was in a coma paired with the lack of privacy in the slums, there are very few moments you have with each other.

Appreciation and praise is mutual more than ever during sex. For as many followers look up to him he worships you, able to catalog and praise each little thing on your body that you perceive as a ‘flaw’. Similarly, his lack of confidence in his new body (as aforementioned) has allowed him to register each little touch and kiss planted on his body as something sincere, like little confessions. He needs it.

This is more of a speculative assumption, but I don’t know if the animators stressed Viktor’s limp as severely as they did in S1. This can bring into the consideration of his stamina being heightened when topping, because he doesn’t need to worry about the stress it’ll bring upon his leg as a consequence. Regardless, sometimes after a long day of meeting his worshippers demands, Viktor simply needs to lay back and be taken care of.

I can’t stop thinking about how Trapp is playing Hunch.

Like his client asks him to find someone and he does. Job over. But instead of questioning Conrad, or trying to break down the mystery of it all, he’s more concerned with how everyone’s treating him. So, he gets in a fight with the owner of a speakeasy, tries to stop known mobsters, stands up to a literal murderer, all because he sees a kid and knows he can’t possibly deserve the treatment he’s getting. He isn’t getting paid to care about Conrad, or even really Imelda. And yet when they to go to the memory bank, Hunch immediately acts as a distraction, so Imelda can get what they need without anyone else getting hurt. Technically, their business is done, but he still makes himself the target rather than playing the part of the detective he is and potentially putting her in danger.

Curiosity doesn’t need to be kind, but he is. He’s kind because sometimes, being curious about other people, means trusting them before you have the proof that it’s the right choice.

If Red Bull's upgrades at COTA are not significant and Max has his hands tied because of the capabilities of the RB20 then Charles could end up playing a crucial role in whether Max becomes champion this year or not. The Ferrari has looked competitive recently in Charles' hands, if he can take a win or two then it will definitely help Max but if he starts splitting LN and Max it's going to really make things difficult for Max.

Btw this is not downplaying the fact that if Max is champion then it is purely on his merit given how amazingly he has driven this year. Hopefully you all know by now I would never downplay Max's talents! I am just thinking of the outright pace of the respective cars over the next few races and what could play out.

If Charles is going to be fast I am going to need him to be super fast so he is ahead of the Mclaren and not splitting the Mclaren and Red Bull. The end of the season is going to be interesting and will probably end up a significant time in Lestappen history - please let it be for positive reasons 🙏🏻

But the general vibe for a spring is… lighthearted consideration.
