Tips for Selling Heavy Equipment
It’s not easy to sell large machinery. And deciding which equipment listing sites are worth the time and effort against which aren’t can be difficult. Many construction equipment businesses have difficulty selling their products via the internet.
Heavy equipment is a niche market — few individuals shop for quarter-million-dollar construction machines, and even fewer have the funds to make a purchase. Even if you discover a few people who are interested and have the financial means to buy a $100,000 excavator or a $300,000 bulldozer, they may not live in your area and be unwilling to bear the price of transporting the machine across the state or nation.
Selling heavy equipment is similar to selling real estate in that you must be willing to play the long game. The average 972M wheel loader, for example, waits on the market for 105 days before being purchased. So, if you’ve been trying to sell a machine for a while and haven’t had much luck, keep trying. If you do your best to get your equipment listings seen, the suitable buyer will eventually discover you.
1. Place an ad on Machinery Trader for your equipment.
Intestate Heavy Equipment is still one of the most popular websites for heavy equipment shopping. It routinely appears at the top of Google search results for high-volume search terms such as “excavators for sale” or “heavy equipment sales,” ensuring that your listings will receive far more attention than if you merely put the equipment on your company’s website or on less-established websites.
2. Place an ad on Craigslist for your equipment.
Although you might not think of Craigslist as the first place to look for expensive construction equipment, it does have an entire heavy equipment category dedicated to it. The Craigslist Heavy Equipment page for Las Vegas, for example, featured 1050 local sales listings at the time of writing.
Pros: Equipment owners’ listings are free. Furthermore, “heavy machinery for sale Craigslist is an online classified ad service “is a popular Google search word, indicating that a large number of individuals are looking for heavy equipment on Craigslist.
Cons: Sellers are discouraged from offering equipment outside of the city where their business is situated on Craigslist. If your company is based in Las Vegas and you try to list your equipment in other cities, such as Los Angeles or Phoenix, your listing may be marked for removal.
Don’t include your email address when listing your equipment. Craigslist has been used by scammers and hackers to send phishing emails. If someone is interested in purchasing something, they will call — so all you need to include is your phone number and website.

Listen very very closely, because I'm going to die young if people don't start learning what reviews are for and how to leave them
Rule #1: 2, 3, and 4-star reviews exist. Use them.
Please stop using exclusively 1-star and 5-star reviews. I know these make you feel powerful, but the other ratings help as well. They all average out to give potential buyers an accurate representation of the product quality. If you were slightly disappointed, give a 2-star or 3-star review. Save your 1-star reviews for travesties.
Rule #2: Reviews for products are about product quality
If you are reviewing a product on a product-selling website, such as Amazon, your review is about the quality/arrival state/functionality of the product. You are letting people know whether the product is good to buy. If it was packaged poorly and broke before you got the package, do not review the product until you attempt to get it replaced.
If the seller is unwilling to refund you or send a replacement, you can use the review section to review the customer service so that people know if they're talking a risk when buying.
Likewise, if a seller is really nice and sends a replacement or promptly apologizes and issues a refund, do not leave them a negative review because of the original state of the product. Accidents happen. Sellers should be rewarded for kind customer service, even if you're bummed out that you were inconvenienced.
Rule #3: eBay feedback is not a product review
I know you're all used to product reviews like the above, but eBay is not the same system. eBay is made for selling used or new items and the feedback system is for letting people know if the seller did a good job. Unless the seller did something wrong, you always give positive feedback.
If the product you receive is damaged and the seller put the condition as poor or they noted the damage on the product page, do not leave bad feedback.
If the product works poorly, but is the product the seller described, do not leave negative feedback. They are not the manufacturer. You are scoring their selling quality, not the product. This includes books you thought were shitty, clothes that didn't fit you well (but matched the listed measurements), and appliances that suck at their job but are exactly what you bought.
If you want to review the products themselves, find them on the manufacturer/company website where they're sold officially and review them there.
Rule #4: Recipe reviews are for people who know how to use a recipe
If you substitute or change more than one ingredient in a recipe, do not leave a review. If you have changed the recipe in a meaningful way, it is not the same recipe and, therefore, you are not reviewing the original recipe.
The only time it's acceptable to review a recipe after changing it is if you actually did make the original recipe first and can review it in earnest, or if the change you made was small enough not to affect your understanding of the original recipe's quality. For example, if you add nuts to a brownie recipe, you can still accurately judge the quality of the brownie itself.
If you burn a recipe, straight up suck at cooking, fail to follow the steps the way they're written, or otherwise do not follow the recipe instructions, do not review the recipe unless you have enough information to do so fairly.
For example, if you burn something but part of it was salvaged, you can make a funny joke at your own expense about burning it while you leave your review, but the rating should reflect the part you succeeded to cook as instructed. The burnt part was your own failing. That 1-star review is @ you, not the recipe writer. If the salvaged part was good, leave a good review.
Substitutions make a huge difference. If you use butter instead of margarine in cookies, they will turn out flatter and more dense. If you significantly change a recipe and get a good result, instead of leaving a good review, post your own recipe and link back to the original as your inspiration/base. The original recipe writer will appreciate it and you won't be muddying the reviews of the actual recipe with inaccurate feedback.
Rule #5: Book reviews are for the book content
This is especially meant to apply to places like Amazon. You are reviewing the product, not the service. When you review books sold through Amazon/Kindle, you are reviewing whether you liked the story/writing. If you receive a book order and the books are damaged, do not leave a negative review on the book. The author and their ability to sell books through Amazon are being judged based on reviews and sales.
If the book is damaged, that is Amazon's fault and should be brought to customer service, not the book reviews. If the issue is not handled appropriately by Amazon, leave Amazon a bad review on Google.
Rule #6: App reviews should mainly be about functionality or game quality
If a game says it includes in-app purchases, do not complain in the reviews that it contains in-app purchases unless they literally ruin the functionality and fun of the game because of how they're implemented. If the game is playable and fun without buying anything, even if you're annoyed you don't have the paid content, you have no right to leave it a negative review. You were warned there were in-app purchases and you chose to play it. Your disappointment is on you. Find a game without in-app purchases if they upset you.
If an app is free and has ads in it, and it is labeled as having ads in it, do not complain in the reviews about the ads unless they are game-breaking or so frequent that the app is intolerable. If a round of a game lasts a minute and you receive a 30 second ad after every round, the creator is abusing ads for revenue and that is fair to include in a review. If you receive a 15 second ad after every 5 rounds, suck it up. That's how free apps stay afloat. If they bother you, pay to remove ads. Almost all free apps with ads have a pay-to-remove option.
When you leave your review it should be about how well the app works, if it's useful, if it's organized well, if it has bugs or frequently crashes, etc. For games, it's the same, plus the element of fun levels and whatnot.
Rule #7: Reviews for establishments or franchises are not company reviews
If McDonald's gets rid of the McRib, do not leave a negative review for your local McDonald's that had no say in the matter. Go review the entire company on Google.
When you review a specific branch or franchise, you're reviewing the employees, the cleanliness, and the quality of the food, within reasonable expectation of the type of establishment it is. Do not leave a negative review on a McDonald's because their burger wasn't the kind of thing you get at Outback. The point of these reviews is to let locals or visitors know whether or not the establishment is run well and worth going to.
Do not leave a negative review for a restaurant that's very busy. If your servers are working at a reasonable pace, you cannot blame the restaurant for having a lunch rush and leaving you in the drive through for ten minutes while they serve people ahead of you. If your food is good and you leave a good review, you can always note that the business gets mad lunch rushes in your written review, but this shouldn't affect your star rating.
Now, if there's one person ahead of you and you're standing in line for ten minutes while employees are on their cellphones, that's terrible service and deserves a bad review.
If Dairy Queen charges fifty cents for extra sauces, it's not the fault of the employee informing you and following procedure. If you're pissed about the sauce price, take it up with corporate. Your review should reflect the attitude of the employee serving you, not the information they have to offer.
You get the idea.
So now, go forth and actually make reviews that make sense and don't unfairly judge or shit on the people or objects your review is directed at.
Reviews aren't just for customer use, they often have very real affects on the jobs and livelihoods of the people they're directed at. Make jokes in your review if you want to, but make your star rating fair and actually attempt to give useful information when writing a review.
And remember, if you have a problem with a product not arriving, being damaged, or anything else, always review the response to the inconvenience, not the inconvenience itself. It's okay to note the inconvenience in a written review, but it shouldn't be reflected in the star rating!

Week 9 Discussion: Social media influencers and the slow fashion movement
Fast fashion is a global and profitable business. The industry is categorised by fast production and distribution on a mass level. Many fashion retailers fall under this umbrella, including Zara, H&M, Cotton On, Shein, Fashion Nova etc. These stores produce a large quantity of clothing, often with little consideration for ethical concerns. For example, these practices have devastating consequences for the environment. Estimates place the global industry as a producer of 10% of the world's carbon emissions. The short lifecycle of fast fashion clothing also means that a significant amount of textile waste is produced. Additionally, due to the industry producing such a massive amount of clothing, resources are stripped from the environment at an unsustainable rate. Furthermore, as Kristen Leo observes in her YouTube video, 'Fast Fashion Explained in Under 5 Minutes' (2018), fast fashion also regularly uses exploits cheap labour in its production cycle, relying on sweatshop labour to fulfil demand at a low price. Workers in these factories are often employed at meagre wages and work in poor conditions.
In response to the ethical concerns posed by the fast fashion industry, the slow fashion movement has emerged. The slow fashion industry acts as the antithesis of fast fashion, focused on using sustainable materials and practices to produce durable clothing in smaller amounts. As Brewer (2019 p. 7) comments, "firms in the slow fashion movement promote sustainability in sourcing, production, and consumption".
The slow fashion movement also relates to broader ideas of digital citizenship. Some people have chosen to use platforms such as YouTube and Instagram to further promote the slow fashion movement. These 'slow fashion influencers' (e.g. Kristen Leo, Tiffany Ferguson, Venetia La Manna, Sarah Hawkinson) use social media to push back against the fast fashion industry, highlighting the fast fashion industry's ethical implications and strategies for sustainable participation in the industry overall. These videos have the intention of empowering viewers with the knowledge and skills to oppose the fast fashion industry themselves both through digital methods and their shopping habits.
However, while these videos promote helpful ideas concerning sustainability, there are still barriers to participating in the slow fashion movement. For example, using ethical production and materials means that often slow fashion garments are produced at a higher cost than fast fashion garments. Consequently, slow fashion garments are often sold at a higher price point, leading to issues of accessibility and a reluctance from consumers to switch from buying cheaper fast fashion items. Lai et al. (2017, p. 93) comment that, for many, when choosing between slow and fast fashion items, price is a key determining factor in decision making. Additionally, convenience also plays a significant role, with many unwilling to search out sustainably produced clothing. The implication is that while fast fashion brands can sell their clothing at a significantly lower price and in a more convenient way, slow fashion will be limited in its reach.
Additionally, while some believe that employing sustainable practices in fashion is a good step towards an ethical industry, others point out that the slow fashion industry still contributes to the textile industry and textile waste. These people suggest that the only ethical way to participate in the clothing industry is to buy clothing secondhand. Clothing resale platforms such as Depop capitalize on this idea, allowing users to trade and sell clothing, extending its lifecycle. Through Depop, a community has formed around selling secondhand clothing between users, often at prices comparable to fast fashion.
Despite the genuine efforts of many to counteract fast fashion with the slow fashion movement and sustainable production, many fashion retailers see sustainability as more of a trend or marketing tactic. Some of these companies will use greenwashing; when companies brand themselves to appear more environmentally friendly or sustainable than they actually are (Hawkinson 2020). For example, H&M has a 'conscious collection' (Farra 2020), marketed as an ethically produced line. However, while this particular collection may use sustainable practices and materials, some point out that H&M still produces many collections which do not. Additionally, these 'conscious collection' items are still produced in mass quantities. While they may last for a longer time, many of these items will eventually contribute to textile waste.
In general, the slow fashion and sustainability influencers act as a positive force against the destructive impact of fast fashion. However, slow fashion is not without its own issues. To improve the effectiveness of the movement, issues such as accessibility must be considered. Additionally, slow fashion influencers must continue to empower their viewers to be proactive digital citizens, using their platforms to advocate and educate.

You Are The Product
George Orwell wrote in the epic novel 1984 the unsettling story of Oceania, a fictional place where Big Brother and the Party scrutinize every move made by its citizens. The timing couldn’t have been better for Orwell to write such a tome, as the Cold War was ensuing, and totalitarian regimes had been swept to power.
If anything, he instilled fear among the citizens of the free world or what was left of it, for it was an implicit warning of encroaching governmental power and the dissolution of privacy. Our protagonist, Winston, was left to his own devices to defy Big Brother and the ban on individuality as he pursued a relationship with Julia. In the end, he had to face his opposition.
While Orwell’s dystopian world never quite happened the way he saw it, he did predict the era of a “telescreen” that could spy on household occupants. He just missed the mark on who would be behind those telescreens, as it wasn’t government but rather corporations. Oh, and whereas individuality was banned in 1984, today individuality is championed and tracked as Marketers seek to know each of us better, not to control us, but rather to sell more stuff to us.
Because we have become the product. And Big Brother...I mean corporations...are using our TVs to track everything we do.
We have been quick to embrace technologies and services that make our lives better, and the prices of these things range from free to ridiculously cheap. It’s just that the cheap price is a subsidy to us, paid for by Marketers wanting to know our every move.
Today’s smart TVs are case in point, as prices have dropped far lower than what economies of scale and technological advances would have predicted. It is now possible to buy a 65″ smart TV for less than $600, something no one would have dreamed of a decade ago. But how can they do it? Simple. TV manufacturers are selling our data to third parties salivating at the chance to know us at an intimate level, and be able to market to us one-to-one.
The crazy thing is, I don’t think many people even care.
After all, we have grown numb to the number of products and services already spying on us. We have grown accustomed to the omnipresent telescreen of technology following every move we make. From Facebook’s data breaches and dealings with Cambridge Analytics, to their efforts to pay people to download a tracking app on their phones, to Amazon and Google devices with microphones, to judiciously retargeted ads based not only on our web surfing but also our conversations, we have come to expect that someone is watching or listening.
It’s the price we pay to be able to use Facebook, to have inexpensive digital assistants, to have amazing home theaters that come ready to stream whatever our hearts desire. Our lives seem better with these things, and I doubt we would want to pay for the privilege.
The only problem is that the product that is us has a bargain basement price. At Facebook, each user was worth $6.05 in revenue last year. At Amazon, an Echo 2 lists for $149, a cheap price to pay for a microphone that lets Jeff Bezos listen to our pillow talk. And that massive TV, even at nearly $600, is a steal, even if we become Winston in the process. We may as well be naked.
While Orwell’s 1984 was entertaining and scary at the same time, he just didn’t see Big Brother being the watchful eye of corporations rather than the Party. Whereas Winston, Julia, and the citizens of Oceania were unwilling participants in a political power play, today we all go willingly.
But dystopia by any other name smells the same.

Steps to Selling a House: Your Start-to-Finish Guide
New Post has been published on https://floridaindependent.com/steps-to-selling-your-house/
Steps to Selling a House: Your Start-to-Finish Guide
People sell their homes for all kinds of different reasons.
Some do it because they’ve outgrown their homes and need to find larger ones. Others do it because their homes are too large, and they need to downsize.
Whatever your reason, you should still follow the same steps to selling a house if you decide to put your home up on the market.
As long as you follow the right steps, you’ll increase your chances of selling your home quickly.
You’ll also reduce a lot of the stress that comes along with selling a home.
Check out the different steps to selling a house below and keep them in mind when you decide to put a “For Sale” sign in your front yard.
Step 1: Decide Why You Want to Sell Your Home
One of the first steps to selling a house will be to decide that you actually want to sell it.
You should sit down and think about why you want to sell it and how motivated you are to move it. Your reason for selling will determine how much of a rush you’re in to get it sold.
If you have time and aren’t in any hurry, you can speak with local real estate agents about whether now is the right time to list it.
If you don’t have any time and are in a hurry, you can learn more about how you can list it as quickly as possible.
Either way, you should come up with your clear reason for selling and let it guide you through the remainder of the steps.
The last thing you want to do is make a big effort to sell your home and then decide it’s not actually what you want to do. So think long and hard before moving beyond this step.
Step 2: Evaluate Your Home and Consider Making Improvements
Once you’ve decided that you’re committed to selling your home, you should evaluate the condition of it. See what you might need to do to it before putting it up for sale.
Ideally, you want to make sure your home is in great condition before you attempt to sell it.
You should put together a list of home improvements you want to make before putting it on the market. That list might look something like this:
Paint the walls in all the rooms
Update the outdated electrical system
Remodel the kitchen and bathrooms
Rip out the old carpeting and replace it with hardwood flooring
Power wash the front porch and driveway
Install new landscaping features in the front yard and backyard
It may not make financial sense for you to make each one of these home improvements. But at the very least, you should consider doing what you can to improve every aspect of your home.
This will increase your chances of selling it later.
Step 3: Come Up With the Right Price for Your Home
After you have gone through the first two steps of selling a house, it will be time for you to price your home.
If you choose to work with a real estate agent, you should make sure they’re in the mix at this point and providing you with guidance along the way.
You can price a home properly by:
Doing your research on the local real estate market and seeing how much homes are selling for
Taking your recent home improvements into account when pricing your home
Checking the listing price for homes in your immediate neighborhood at the moment
The key to pricing a home right is grabbing people’s attention with it. You’ll still want to make an effort to bring in enough money to make the sale worth your while.
It’s a good idea to work with someone who knows the ins and outs of the market. They’ll provide you with an unbiased opinion on what your home is worth.
You might also want to consider selling your home to someone willing to pay cash for it at this point if they make you a strong enough offer. Learn more about this option and how it can benefit you.
Step 4: Prepare Your Home to Go Up on the Market
After you’ve established the price at which you want to list your home, it’ll almost be time for you to put it on the market.
However, before you take that step, you should make sure your home is ready for all of the open houses and showings that are in its future.
You can do this by decluttering your home and getting rid of anything that you don’t want or need anymore. You can also do it by deep cleaning your home and making it look its absolute best.
You might even want to consider staging your home with furniture. This allows others to dream about all the things they could do with the space if they moved in. A staging company can help you outfit your home with the right kind of furniture so that you can encourage others to envision themselves living in your home
Step 5: List Your Home and Begin Marketing It
Your home is organized. Your home is clean. Your home is even staged.
It’s officially ready to go up on the market!
Whether you’re selling your home on your own or listing it with the help of a real estate agent, you will need to list it at this point.
You will also need to put a marketing plan into place so that everyone knows it’s for sale. You can do this by:
Putting a “For Sale” sign outside of your home
Hanging up flyers about your home sale around your neighborhood
Using the internet to promote the sale of your home online
Linking to your home sale listing on your social media accounts
Asking friends, family members, and neighbors to help you spread the word
Your goal should be to let as many people as possible know about your home going up on the market. You can do this on your own or count on your real estate agent to get the ball rolling.
Step 6: Negotiate the Asking Price With Potential Home Buyers
If you’ve followed the steps to selling a house so far, then you should have offers for your homecoming in left and right by the time you take this step.
Some of those offers will be strong; others, not so much!
You should weed through them and see which offers sound the best to you. You should then begin the negotiation process and send counteroffers back to the most serious sellers.
Negotiating the sale of a home can be a long and tedious process, especially if you end up working with buyers who want to play hardball. They may be unwilling to budge on their price, and you might have to walk away from the negotiating table if this is the case.
The key is to prepare for this and to be willing to walk away if you don’t like a deal that’s proposed to you.
Eventually, you’ll get an offer that you like and that you feel comfortable accepting.
Step 7: Accept the Best Offer on Your Home and Close the Deal
At some point, you’ll find a buyer willing to give you the money you want for your home.
Congratulations will be in order!
But you aren’t finished with the home-selling process yet. There will still be a few more things you’ll need to do before closing on your property.
The first thing will be a home inspection. Most smart home buyers will request an inspection and have a home inspector take a look at your home for any signs of trouble. The buyer might then come back to you and ask for several repairs to your home before closing.
The second thing will be a home appraisal. A buyer’s lender will likely require an appraisal on your home before agreeing to give the buyer the money needed to purchase your property.
There will also be a slew of legal documents that need signing. It’s not a bad idea to bring in a lawyer to handle this part of the sale since it can get to be very complicated.
Finally, you’ll contact your own lender to pay off your existing mortgage before making arrangements to move to your new home. You will attend the closing on your current home before leaving it once and for all.
Follow These Steps to Selling a House to Get Top Dollar for Your Home
As you can see, there are a lot of steps to selling a house that you need to follow before moving out.
However, you shouldn’t let those steps scare you off. As long as you’re willing to take one step at a time, selling a home won’t be as stressful as you think it will be. You will have a successful experience and walk away feeling like a winner.

Stray Cat - chapter twenty-three
Rating: Mature Word Count: 1899 Warnings: Past Abuse, Past Rape/Non-con, Slow Burn, Eventual Smut Summary: Phil Lester believes that if he does good things then good things will happen to him, so on one of the worst days of his life he invites a rain-soaked Neko boy named Dan into his home. Phil has never met a Neko before and he knows nothing about the dark system that has molded Dan. Dan is part of a repressed population with few rights, and as Phil gets to know him he can’t understand why – Dan is the most amazing person he has ever met. —
Martyn told Phil that he was welcome to stay longer, but Phil needed to be doing something, even if it meant facing the space that now felt so much like it belonged to Dan. He went home that afternoon after picking up some empty boxes from a store, which he could use for packing.
As he entered his apartment, he felt the weight of the truth that he had told Dan – there was no way that he could return to the way things were before he met Dan. Dan had been firmly rooted in Phil’s life, and then he had been ripped away, leaving a gaping hole. He hadn’t brought anything with him when he moved in but a black t-shirt and jeans, but somehow his presence had transformed the apartment into a place that Phil thought of as ‘theirs’.
Maybe it was his way of tidying by dropping stacks of paper behind tables. Maybe it was how Phil now thought of half of his mugs as Dan’s because he knew they were Dan’s favorites. Whatever the reason, Phil looked around the place where he had lived for over a year and he had no emotional attachment to it. He had turned on the lights when he walked in, but there was no glow to it anymore. The heat was on, but the room felt cold. This wasn’t home.
Then Phil realized what would make him feel better. He started setting up empty boxes in the living room, and then he started tossing things into them – collectibles, DVDs, videogames. A couple hours and a half-dozen packed boxes later, the room was looking different and Phil felt something ease in his chest, feeling like he was making progress. He sat on the sofa, which he had been avoiding because of the obvious signs of Dan in this area. Everything was here the way he had left it – the laptop, the headphones, and the CDs he had been listening to. If Phil had wanted to fool himself, he could almost believe that Dan had just stepped out of the room, and he would return at any moment to listen to more music.
Phil’s chest was starting to ache again. There was something that would probably make it worse, but Phil couldn’t resist. He turned on his laptop and pulled up the files from the video he recently filmed. There was a scene he had cut from the video, but he hadn’t deleted it yet. It only took him a few minutes to find the first take of him announcing Draw Phil Naked, which was followed by Dan laughing uncontrollably. He played the sound back a few more times as tears started rolling down his cheeks. He hugged a pillow against his chest, which helped a bit.
On impulse, Phil published the edited AmazingPhil video on his channel. He didn’t care about it at the moment, but Dan had wanted him to film it, so he felt like he was fulfilling an unspoken promise by completing the video. He hopped onto a ticket resale website and listed the Muse tickets for sale, and then he turned off his laptop, feeling ready to tackle the rest of the room. He started with the CDs that Dan had left out.
He continued packing for the rest of the day, only stopping to eat some leftover pizza from the fridge for dinner. His muscles were sore and he knew he couldn’t keep going any longer tonight, so there was only one thing left to decide: was he going to sleep on the couch or in the bed? He eyed the couch, but all he could think about was kissing Dan after he said that he liked him, and there was also the fact that the couch was a bit too short for him to stretch out.
He walked to his room and collapsed on his bed, holding his breath for a moment, but it didn’t help – as he finally inhaled, all he could smell was Dan’s musky scent. Tears pricked in his eyes again and he buried his face in a pillow. As he did, his hand brushed against something under the pillow. Curious, he lifted the pillow and found the turtle notebook that he had given Dan. Phil turned on the bedside light so that he could take a look. He flipped through the notebook. On one page, Dan had just doodled a ‘s’-shaped pattern a few times. Even if this was all Phil found in the notebook, it made Phil smile fondly as he ran his hand over where the pen had indented the paper with the design Dan traced. On the next page though, Dan had written something. It was a plan for a series that he had titled ‘reasons why Dan’s a fail’ and there were a few video ideas bulleted: butterfingers, procrastination, mumbling. He had put some talking points beside the ideas, too. It looked like he wanted to include sketches in the videos.
Phil turned the page to see a video idea that was a bit more fleshed out. He had expected a funny sketch from the series on the previous page, but this was Dan’s idea for his introductory video where he explained a bit about who he was and what kind of videos he wanted to make. He had almost the whole thing scripted, including actions like *cracks party popper*. There was one particular line that made Phil’s heart squeeze; Dan wrote that he never thought he’d have the confidence or motivation to do anything like this, but a really good friend he made recently persuaded him to give it a shot.
Phil shut the notebook, deciding not to invade Dan’s privacy anymore. Dan was coming back. He was going to write in this notebook, and he was going to make the videos he had planned. Phil hadn’t doubted that Dan was brilliant and funny and creative – the book had just provided more proof of all of that. It had assured him of something else, though. Dan was meant to do YouTube. It was his destiny.
Phil shut off the light and settled into his pillows. He might actually be able to get some sleep tonight because he felt a bit better about this. He felt sure that the universe had plans for Dan now, so he wasn’t going to be sold. The universe couldn’t be that cruel.
Once Phil had his morning cup of coffee, he couldn’t resist calling his mother to see if she’d had any luck selling the timeshare. She picked up after a few rings, and he heard her yawning before saying, “Morning, Child.”
“Morning. Sorry, did I wake you?”
“No, the coffee just hasn’t kicked in yet. How are you?”
“Okay.” He glanced around the living room that had growing towers of boxes in it. Phil didn’t own that many things and it wouldn’t be long until he was done. “I’m glad you suggested that I start packing. It’s been good to have a distraction.”
“That’s what I was hoping. Phil, I know you called to find out about the timeshare, so I’m sending you an email now. I spoke to an agent and she already has it listed on a website, complete with pictures. We’ve set the price low and are expecting the offers to come in soon. The only thing that’s going to take a bit of time is filing the paperwork and transferring the money. Alright? It’s going to be okay, Philly.”
He exhaled a shaky breath. “Thank you, Mum. You’re amazing. Really, I know how much this timeshare meant to you. And Martyn with his car… you’re both incredible.”
“Oh, I spoke to your brother. He sold his car last night for £2,500. So, everything is going well. You know we’re happy to do it. Yes, I loved my timeshare and your brother loved his car, but of course these things don’t matter as much as the wellbeing of someone who you love. He’s already family in my eyes and we need him to be safe.”
His chest felt warm, as if he’d just taken a big swallow of his hot coffee. “Thank you, Mum.” She made a contented noise and then he heard her yawn again. Phil laughed. “I’m going to let you go. Sounds like you need more coffee. Bye, Mum.”
“Bye, Child.”
After he hung up, he checked his email. He found the one she just sent him with the link to the website where the timeshare was listed for sale. He wanted to see the pictures. It was almost like a second home to him. The timeshare was in Florida near Disney World. Once a year, Mum, Dad, Martyn, and Phil would stay there for a week or two in the summer. They had just been talking a few weeks ago about the upcoming trip this year, which wouldn’t be happening now. Phil flipped through the pictures of the house that he would never stay in again, saying goodbye.
As he started to close his browser, Phil thought of something else. The man at Neko House said Dan wouldn’t be listed for a day or two. He had talked to that man yesterday. Phil hoped Dan wouldn’t be on the website until tomorrow, but he had to check to be sure. He opened the website for Neko House and clicked on the tab labeled ‘buy’. There was a section for new Nekos to the website.
He clicked on it, but as the page was loading Phil shut his eyes, unwilling to see the contents. Finally, he took a calming breath and opened his eyes. There was a photo of a woman with blond hair and brown ears. Phil recognized her as the woman who had grabbed his shirt when he walked past her cell, and she glared indignantly at the camera. Had Shaw called her Nancy? With an almost morbid curiosity, he started reading and saw that he had recalled her name correctly. He also learned that she was 30 years old, 5’7”, 120lbs, and fertile in case prospective buyers were interested in breeding her with male Nekos.
Phil felt bile rising in his throat. There was more listed about Nancy – a blurb of info about her previous living situations – but Phil didn’t want to read anymore, so he scrolled down on the page. He wished he hadn’t.
Dan stared at him from a photograph with brown eyes that were widened unmistakably with terror. There were words written beside the photograph, but Phil couldn’t focus on them long enough for them to make sense. He shut his eyes for a long moment as if the awful truth before him would be gone when he reopened his eyes. It wasn’t.
Phil looked at the petrified image of Dan again. He could tell that the picture was taken in Dan’s cell, and it was taken at a slight angle from above which made Dan look so small and young. He wondered if they told Dan when the picture was taken that time had run out and that he was going to be listed on the website today.
Phil wanted to be there so that he could hold Dan and tell him that everything was going to be okay. The problem was that Phil wasn’t sure he believed this anymore.

Guidelines Sell Las Vegas Home To Get The Most Out Of Property Sales
Guidelines sell Las Vegas home To Get The Most Out Of Property Sales
A lot of us become emotionally connected to our properties in a single form or some other. Whether it’s a home we’ve called home for several years or one by which our company is invested, emotions can easily prevent you from creating a big profit and moving the property quickly. Read these guidelines and learn ways to act as a specialist and move that real-estate.
When you’re selling your house, and also you are caring for your curb appeal, try renting or getting a power washer. They can create your driveway or porch look almost brand new. Also, for those who have a wood porch or deck take into consideration staining it so it looks nice, neat and new.
Prior to deciding to put your house on the market, you have to be sure it is with the best shape possible. There is no need to do expensive upgrades. Do away with clutter. This will make the home look larger. Do simple repairs. For those who have been ignoring a broken kitchen drawer, then this is the time to correct it. Paint any areas that want it. Mow the yard and plant some flowers. Make best use of what you will need to capture while keeping a buyer’s interest.
Before setting a price level, don’t just rely on the real estate agent to tell you what you could set the purchase price at. Shop around at recent sales of properties just like yours to see what the actual sales price was. This will give you an idea of precisely what the industry is like realtor Vegas and what individuals are in reality paying for properties like yours.
Think about the sales price and select it carefully when selling your property. If you set the cost too much, it will turn off many buyers. You cannot undo this damage once this has been done. Those buyers will determine what you originally asked and they will see it being a weakness.
Use many different resources to buy or sell your property. With incorporating the web, you gain access to a completely new international market place. While traditional printed fliers and newspaper listings can help you to sell, it might never hurt to go all the way and list on websites too.
Set the mood through the showing of the house you want to sell. A fire in the fireplace, candles glowing in the tables and rippling water fountains make your home feel more tranquil and relaxing. These things can help keep buyers from noticing less desirable noises which may be heard otherwise.
Inside a down market, take the time and strive to negotiate your broker’s commission. During buyer’s markets you might need to price your home under everything you normally may have received because of it. Work together with your broker and discover should they be ready to negotiate the level of their commission. Accomplish this when you are still picking out an agent to help you move on if a person is unwilling to budge.
If your neighbor suffers foreclosure, this will damage the value of your premises, until you intervene. Foreclosed real estate agent in Las Vegas Nevada properties often deteriorate with time, and that ramshackle look deflates your own property value. Confer with your neighbors and figure out a schedule for maintaining and taking care of foreclosed properties. This will a minimum of play a role in the appearance and performance from the property and can assist the neighborhood values remain high.
If you are living in a neighborhood full of foreclosed properties, your home value may suffer. Join forces with other neighbors on the block and make contact with the local authorities–the foreclosed property may be subject to the area Stabilization Program (NSP). This federal program is made to help you buy, fix and re-sell condemned or foreclosed properties. This is a great approach to profit from abandoned or unsightly homes within the neighborhood.
An important tip to not forget with real estate would be to not remain idle with the property if you are not entirely happy with it – particularly when the industry is down. This is important because it might be your greatest possiblity to move into a residence or neighborhood you have always desired. It could be really worth the hit that you simply undertake your lesser valued house.
Not everyone will have the identical measure of success in real estate market, but there is however absolutely no reason which you shouldn’t have the ability to sell a residence in every market. Just adhere to the tips we provided here plus your home will sell quickly as well as for top dollar.

The Private Sale of the Official Press is Legalized
The Private Sale of the Official Press is Legalized / 14ymedio, Miriam Celaya 14ymedio, Miriam Celaya, Havana, 9 March 2017 — On one of the side walls, inside a small newspaper stand on Avenida 26, in Nuevo Vedado (Havana), an unusual sign announces: "This stand became private property." The event is unique. The elderly self-employed man behind the counter is normally cautious. Survival instinct has taught Cubans to mistrust those who ask too many questions, particularly when what's in play is the relative security of some additional monetary income to round off the meager retirement income. However, when an informal conversation is established, some information and small details always surface which, at least in principle, confirm that a new secret experiment has been initiated by the State-Party-Government: the process of legal privatization of the sale of the main ideological weapon of the revolution: the press. It is obvious, in addition, that this event is taking place barely three months after the death of the infamous creator of the information monopoly, as soon as the last prop tears of his faithful have dried up and in the midst of constant invocations in the press "to his memory, his legacy and his work." No one can ignore that the colossal Castro press, and especially the Granma newspaper, was the apple of Fidel Castro's eye, who commanded it for decades from his office, from where he was taken daily through the tunnel connecting the Granma building with the Palace of the Revolution, for his final approval, before going to press. The true nature of the information about the new measure that includes the commercialization of the official press as a sole proprietorship activity was confirmed to this publication by Yordanka Díaz, director of the Cuban Postal Service Habana-Centro, in the Plaza of the Revolution municipality. "It is necessary to satisfactorily complete a 3-day course, after which the contract is made and then the worker must go to the National Office of Tax Administration (ONAT) to try to obtain his license." The official director added that, in the municipality under her management, there are at least three vacant places to negotiate a newspaper stand. So far, those who have filled the previous vacancies are retired workers or housewives returning to the workforce. Although the vendor at the Avenida 26 location has misgivings that make him seem unwilling to reveal many details, it is obvious that he is more satisfied with his new status as self-employed, than that of his former status as an employee of the State. "Before, the State paid me a salary of 120 Cuban pesos a month, now I must pay 10 pesos a day. The price of a newspaper is still 20 cents in national currency, so I would have to sell 300 newspapers to earn 3 pesos, but people 'help me', some leave me a peso or 50 cents The state does not have to pay me a salary, but it charges me 300 a month; they win, I earn more now …and everyone is happy." The vendor does not reveal that, in fact, his greatest gain is in the established practice of selling wholesale to unlicensed street dealers, or informal home delivery, where there is a fixed minimum monthly rate of 30 Cuban pesos, which may be higher if the customer receives more than one daily newspaper. It is not a business that yields significant profits, but it does not require much effort or investment, and it helps to put food on the table. Something else that's new is that the State will not distribute the papers to the sellers working as "self-employed," rather it will be the responsibility of the vendors to pick up and transport the papers to their individual stands, which is another advantage for the State, since transportation costs from the printing locations to the stands throughout the city are no longer the State's responsibility. There is also a fixed allocation of newspapers for each seller, in order to avoid hoarding. The vendor becomes more talkative as the conversation progresses. "They say they are going to repair the kiosks, which are in very bad condition, they are going to fix the ceilings and paint them, but I'm not sure about that. The stands are theirs, the sales, mine." "But I can only sell newspapers, no magazines, no books, no calendars or anything like that," the old man explains. "But it's okay, I don't complain. It's always easier to unload newspapers; people buy them more readily than they do magazines. They even buy old newspaper… imagine, of course they'll sell, seeing how difficult it is to get toilet paper!" At this point, everything has a certain logic, though it would seem, at least paradoxical, that the airtight press monopoly – so pure, so anti-capitalist, so Marxist – has consented, at least partially, to the commercialization of this important "trench" to the private sector, even if it is such a humble and low-profit activity as the sale of newspapers, usually taken over by retirees or other low-income workers. However, taking into account the calamitous economic situation and the high costs arising from this archaic way of disseminating information, the State is compelled to exploit any way of lightening the load that results from the maintenance of a printed press monopoly in a country where limited and costly internet access, coupled with the Government's imperative need to control information, prevents the absolute digitization of the media. This way, the government is tied to its own Gordian knot: the monopoly of the press and the country's laughable internet access are musts for the regime if it wants to keep the population uninformed or ill-informed, without other alternative sources of information about what is happening in the world or even within the nation, and without the possibility of comparing the news offered by the official media. But this, in turn, forces the government to sustain an unaffordable industry of the press in the middle of an economic crisis that produced negative numbers in 2016 and threatens an even more unfortunate 2017. In reality, the rationing process of the official press machinery has been showing signs for a long time. Recently, the country's main newspaper, Granma, with only eight pages (four flat sheets) renewed its old and recharged design, not so much to improve its print quality and presentation – which remain aesthetically deplorable – but to save ink. For a long time there has been only one national edition in circulation. Now, by allowing the sale of newspapers as a non-state activity, the Government has simply legalized another black market item – a phenomenon that has marked the entire "list" of what is regulated for the private sector – since for many years and to date the private (illegal) sale of the official press has existed, carried out by elderly and needy people who, not trying to disguise the act, and with their face uncovered, loudly yell out the headlines and sell without fuss in the middle of the road, buying the papers at 20 centavos and selling them at the price of one peso in national currency. In short, the black market of the official press has been legalized. Curiously, this new form of self-employment has not been reviewed by the official press, although it is news of a clear symbolic meaning. Do You Know the Best Anti-Aging Creams of 2017?
AlluraDerm Ingredients and Side Effects
Matrixyl 3000 Resveratrol Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen Vitamins A and C
Matrixyl 3000: A form of amino acid peptide chain that has shown some ability to stimulate collagen production. Very little research has been done into the effects of Matrixyl 3000, and it has all been performed by their manufacturer, Sederma.
Collagen production is a key part of skin care, as collagen is the cellular base that forms new skin. Being able to increase new collagen production makes the face look fuller and healthier, and it can even skin tone and help eliminate dark spots.
It is still unclear how effective Matrixyl actually is at increasing collagen production, or how safe it is. There have been few complaints of side effects so far, but there is also no data about the long term effects of Matrixyl, do mainly to how short of a time it has been around for.
Resveratrol: A form of polyphenol derived from the skin of red grapes. Polyphenols are useful for fighting off the damaging effects of antioxidants and they may have some anti-inflammatory effects as well, however there is less evidence to back up those claims.
Polyphenols and antioxidants are both responsible for preventing the damage caused by the free radicals that are created by exposure to sunshine, smoke, smog, and other environmental effects. Left unchecked, free radicals can destroy cell membranes, warping cells and causing them to expand.
This results in the sagging of the skin as the tight, orderly structure of the cells is destroyed. This also makes the skin look duller and increases its vulnerability to further damage from UV rays.
There are very few people that have negative reactions to resveratrol, though some people do have mild allergic flare-ups. It is also possible for resveratrol to interact negatively with blood thinning medication, so users are encouraged to consult their medical professional before taking resveratrol.
Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen: While not considered a harmful additive for most humans, collagen is not as useful a skin care ingredient as some may think. We’ve already discussed the importance of collagen above, however it should be noted that those effects cannot be achieved merely by rubbing collagen onto the skin.
Collagen is a highly complex molecule that is composed of many different proteins, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. This means that it is both to large to be easily absorbed by the skin and too complicated to be of use to it when it is. Collagen has to be broken down before it is useful, and its multiple component parts are distributed throughout the body, not just to the skin.
What happens when collagen is applied topically is usually just that it sits on top of the skin where it can cover and fill in damaged areas and cracks. This sometimes has a temporarily smoothing effect on the skin’s texture, but its effects rarely last past the next shower or facewash.
Collagen is considered safe for most users, though mild allergic reactions are possible. It is not thought to have any long-term consequences.
Vitamins A and C: Two of the fundamental ingredients in the skin formulation process. Both vitamins C and A are required to form new skin, and they also play an active roll in a number of other biological processes.
A and C are highly recommended by our team as skin care additives, in part because of their core-level effectiveness and in part because of how well tolerated they are by most users. The vast majority of humans react positively to vitamins A and C assuming that they are consumed in reasonable dosages.

AlluraDerm Quality of Ingredients
Of the parts of their blend that are known to the public, AlluraDerm uses some quality ingredients, some ingredients that are just ok, and one ingredient that is highly questionable.
Vitamins A and C are good for most people, necessary for a number of biological functions, and applicable to the skin in particular, making them two of the top ingredients on our experts list.
Resveratrol and Matrixyl are not the worst additives on the market, but they aren’t the best, either. Neither one has a track record of reliability, and only Matrixyl might benefit the skin at the core level.
Collagen is a suspect ingredient in a skin care blend because often its inclusion means that the manufacturers are trying to take advantage of the small amounts of knowledge that some consumers have. Many people know that collagen is important for facial care, so they assume that collagen in a skin care product is beneficial.
None of this really matters, however, because AlluraDerm does not publish their complete ingredients list. Our team does not recommend any product that is unwilling to disclose what is in it. Too many disreputable manufacturers hide harmful chemical in their skin care blends for us to be able to take them at their word that all of their unlisted chemicals are safe and effective.

The Price and Quality of AlluraDerm
AlluraDerm uses a somewhat unusual pricing structure. They do not sell their product individually or through any independent retailers. The only option for interested consumers is to sign up for their “Free Trial Offer.”
The catch with the “Free Trial Offer” is that it actually enrolls the user in an automatic renewal program that charges its members $86.94 per month. There are also fees for cancelling and for other stipulated circumstances, ensuring that the vast majority of people signing up for the free trial offer pay as much as possible.

Business of AlluraDerm
AlluraDerm is part of an organization of skin care products that all share their promotional materials, marketing strategies, and parent companies. The names of these companies are constantly changing, however, and names that have been used in the past include Skin Technologies, Skin Noir, and Dos Hermanos, LLC. AlluraDerm lists their parent company as Naturally Essential and their contact info as:
Phone Number: (844) 222-2205
Address: 600 Corporation Dr.
Pendleton, IN 46064
Email: [email protected]
This is one of the most poorly reviewed companies that our team has ever encountered. They have a 0% positive rating on the Better Business Bureau and hundreds of formal complaints about their business practices have been filed with the Federal Trade Commission.

Customer Opinions of AlluraDerm
There are hundreds of people that are angry at AlluraDerm and their partners for taking advantage of them with their “Free Trial Offer.” Those that did comment on the quality of the skin cream were equally upset about that, and comments were often similar to these:
“I can’t believe I put something that smells this bad on my face. I can believe that it made me break out.”
“I have no idea what these things are, but as soon as I started using AlluraDerm I started to grow these weird little hard lumps under my skin, especially on my neck. I quit using it when I found them, but they have not gone away.”
“THE. WORST. SKIN. CREAM. EVER!!!!!”
Many reviewers were so disappointed in the quality of AlluraDerm that they believe that they know it is a substandard product and do not care; that they are just trying to hook people with the “Free Trial Offer” and charge them as many times as possible before they notice.

Conclusion – Does AlluraDerm Work?
Our panel of experts believes that the best companies are proud of their products. They know that they are superior to their competition and encourage users to compare the two, secure that they will win. They charge a fair price and advertise it proudly, knowing that customers are willing to pay good prices for good value products.
AlluraDerm does not do any of this. They do not want to publish what is in their product, for fear that it will not measure up, and they do not want to post the terms of their so-called deal because they know that they are overcharging people for products that they may not have even wanted in the first place.
This is not a fair, reasonable, or honorable way to conduct business. Our team recommends users only purchase products that are willing to disclose their entire contents and that charge fair, agreed upon price.
Our panel recommends Kremotex to all readers that are looking for a daily over the counter skin care product. Kremotex is mild enough for daily use but potent enough that it can radically transform the appearance of old, dry, and damaged skin.
