@khr-guilded-cage is right
Its so FUCKING EASY to usurp Vongola
Just treat Tsuna like A PERSON INSTEAD OF A TOY
And you have the boy loyality
Soul Society taking over Vongola by approaching Tsuna and taking the boy under their control
While he kinda still would be a pawn, he would be treated better
Reborn would die, Soi Fon as Tsuna teacher would kill him
Soi Fon as Tsuna's teacher ?
Ohh Hell Yeah !
But I don't think Tsuna would be put in the 2 division after all the kid was so willing to listen to them because he didn't want to be part of the underworld (even with the best position in it) so they aren't making the same mistake . Instead Tsuna will probably end up in the 4th , 5th or 13th division .
Soi Fon is still the person who was put to teach him effective combat but that has less to do with assassin tactics and more to do with their similar fighting style .
After all it would be kinda hard to find someone specializing in highly maneuverable hand to hand combat style , Soi Fon is the closest they got .
But did she teach him good ? She did . A few months in and Tsuna is already strong enough to be a seated officer in the 11th after they started to rework his very very full of weakness and wasted movements combat style .
Now granted a sizable part is because of Tsuna's monstrous combat talent (because Reborn is such a shit teacher he immediately started throwing a non-combat trained civilian against seasoned mafioso so Tsuna had to quote literally learn on the fly or die ) . But that doesn't change the fact that Soi Fon is both a competent teacher and the best teacher Tsuna ever had . One of the reasons being she doesn't rush him to move to harder and more complicated parts , because Soi Fon knows that a slowly built but strong base will get you far far farther than a fastly built but weak base . So in that Tsuna's lack of interest of anything beyond his level is a real blessing . And the fact Soi Fon is here to help with his combat style and not train him to be a member of her squad makes it easier on them both .
Soi Fon training actually became a time both of them enjoy . In parts because they are both terribly deprived of affection people that finally found someone who they can give their affection and it being appreciated and also returned (as in platonic affection) . Because Tsuna finally gets an adult figure in his life that hasn't abused him and to who he can go for anything (he thinks Soi Fon is what having an older sister or mother is like) . Soi Fon on the other hand gets someone who she can give her affection to , someone who by just having her in the room makes them be happy , someone to whom she can be vulnerable to without worrying of betrayal or it being used as a blackmail (She tink that having Tsuna is what having an younger brother or even a son is like) .
The moment Tsuna and Soi Fon go to the Shinigami archives to both adopt Tsuna and change his family name to Soi it becomes common knowledge how they thought of each other . After all it's not everyday a family's head adopts someone let alone like a sibling (the last time was Byakuya ) so by a week time everyone starts referring to Tsuna as Soi Tsuna .

From school idol to dame tsuna , how popular is Momina? Talk about her school social status in the namichu hierarchy ♡
Welcome into my inbox...!

Answering this first because it's easier. Under the read more because it's long af...
☆▪︎Momina's Social Status in Namichu Hierarchy ▪︎☆
Due to Momina's friendly and bubbly persona, she is someone who is easily liked and can befriend others pretty easily as well. She's someone who can somewhat easily assimilate into groups, even if inside she is feeling very anxious, she tries her best to swallow and be a part of a community. This added to the fact she's from ~ The Americas ~ the students of Namimori Chuu become instantly interested in her, and she's readily accepted. They keep assuming she's American, though... honestly, had Namimori Chuu been a kinder school, there'd have been no real problems. However, Momina is: 1. Short tempered, 2. Has a strong sense of justice 3. Has a strong maternal instinct, so naturally seeing how folks can sometimes treat Tsuna would set her off. [Sometimes because by the time she did show up Tsuna was someone who occasionally was treated decent by his classmates. It really depended on their whims...] and whenever Momina saw that, she'd instantly get herself involved and call them out...! Much to Tsuna's [inner] protests and uncomfortability... this naturally led to some disruptions in class because while some would immediately back down, some would actually argue back [something that'd set her off even more... "You're arguing with me when you're being awful...!?"] She can actually be stern and strict at times, so this could also get her labeled as being "a nag." Like, for example... people leaving Tsuna or another classmate to do the classroom cleaning alone...? Not on her watch! She'll make sure she helps, but if she catches the runaways before their escape, she'll scold them into doing their part. Momina is not afraid to go to Hibari and the disciplinary committee...! So there's also some mutterings of her being "a snitch." Momina just rolls her eyes at that and says,"Do your freaking job then!"
So I don't see her as someone super popular, but I do see her as someone who is generally well liked. I like to think she's middle ground level popularity, maybe even below average to some with the "nag" and "snitch" allegations but she's frankly super cute and friendly so of course she'll generally have an easy time.
If I had to guess another thing that'd cause her issue it be her friendships with both Takeshi and Hayato. Momina has other scattered friend groups but there are some she orbits around more than others [Kyoko/Hana, Miruku, Tsuna/Takeshi/Hayato, and later Chrome] because she adores them especially and has lots of concern for them. [Yeah, she's a Worry Wart.] This would have been fine had that not meant that she wasn't spending time with both Takeshi and Hayato. :) it doesn't help that Hayato and Momina are often seen heading to and from school at one point, have the same lunches, and their relationship is so close? [Hayato has a tendency to rummage through her bag for food or money...] meanwhile with Takeshi their relationship seems too friendly...! Too much laughing/giggling, joking, playing and touching...! As a result, their fangirls find her to be a homewrecking scumbag...! Where does she get off being so close to them? And both of them!? Talk about being greedy...! She is clearly a pick-me girl best friend. 🙄 Momina has gotten cornered multiple times by a group of them. Honestly, Momina used to be someone who'd get into fist fights, but she's trying to do that less, so she actually just clenches her fists and angrily glares at them. This leads to a standoff because, of course, they don't want to actually risk being hurt, but it is usually broken up by someone coming along. Either the disciplinary committee [which, tbh has led to them all getting beat up], a random classmate, teacher, or one of her friends. The latter can be an issue if it's Takeshi or Hayato themselves. Hayato, especially because he gets angry and aggressive at the scene...which only worsens things in his fangirls' eyes. [Not that this matters to Momina, who is staring at Hayato with starry eyes and thanking him profusely or Hayato, who is now feeling shy and trying to hide it.]
This was super long fjjf, but yeah...! Momina is well liked enough to be treated well for the most part but has some annoying titles. Another reason I like to think she's actually well liked is how despite how she can be... she...is... well, she loves helping people...and frankly if it's her, she can be easily manipulated into doing things. Something Namimoru Chuu students have picked up on and take advantage of. "Momo-chan, can I have some money? I'll pay you back!" [Never does], "Momo-chan, can you help me?" [She does, no matter how often asked. In fact, she'll go above and beyond! Like, if she cant help you, she'll find someone who can. Unprompted.] One of her secret titles at school is "Sucker." In fact, in Fuuta's rankings, she's considered one of the biggest sucker's in Namimori... not that she's aware of this.

◈ — WHEN YOUR SWIMSUIT BRA STRAP BREAKS
He’d look at you surprised with a slight blush on his cheeks if you broke your swimsuit bra strap right in front of him. He would stand in front of you and point at the broken strap, “Tsuna Tsuna.” You nod as you hold onto the strap from falling off, asking him if he could help which he nods right away, “Takana.” You can also see how he’s trying so hard to not stare at your chest as he helps you. He’s being nice and all despite being a bit pervy about it afterwards. “Sujiko~”
◈ — WHEN YOU SLAP HIS ASS
This guy would be shocked if you slap his ass. He’d be stunned by the sudden hit after letting out the loudest “Ikura!” you’ve ever heard from him. He would then look back at you with wide eyes with a mix of surprise while placing his hands on his ass, giving you the ‘what was that for?’ look. He is taken back but also amused by your action. “Okaka!” He would chase you around to slap your ass in return.
◈ — YOU WIPE OFF HIS KISS
He would be so confused and offended if you wiped his kiss away. “Okaka?” He’d look at you with a mix of shock and annoyance as he held your wrist to wipe the kisses more. His eyebrows would be furrowed and he’d sigh in frustration before kissing you again. When you wipe off the kiss once more, he’s looking at you in disapproval before typing aggressively on his phone and showing it right in front of your face. Why are you wiping my kiss? Is it too sloppy?? Don’t do that!!!
◈ — WHEN YOU SAY “LET’S MAKE OUT” TO HIM
His face would light up with joy and surprise when you ask him to make out. “Shake.” He nods quickly, grabs you by the waist and kisses you eagerly. Making out is his favorite intimate moment with you to show his love and appreciation that he couldn’t through words. He’s also sneaky and would slip in a word of command now and then to spice up the kiss. He’s gotten so good at it, you won’t be surprised that you’ll be left breathless after.
◈ — WHEN YOU FALL ASLEEP WAITING FOR HIS RETURN
He would be a little worried if you fell asleep while waiting for him to come home. When he walks in and sees you sleeping on the couch still sitting against the backrest, he immediately goes to your room to grab a blanket and put it over you, slowly and carefully moving your body to lay on your back. He’ll be so attentive at tucking you in and he’ll sleep next to you, hugging your body from over the blanket.
◈ — WHEN HE IS JEALOUS
You could feel his jealousy if you talk to another person and compliment them just from the slight change of his expression to the other person. He’d cross his arms with furrowed eyebrows when you start to take too long, making him feel like he’s ignored on the sideline. He’ll pull the hem of your clothes to get your attention back, “Tsuna,” and point at himself, showing his sulky face to you. You’d get the signal and give him his attention back, he’s not the overbearing type for a few reasons. He’s all happy again after as he holds your hand tight.
◈ — WHEN YOU SAY “I'M SLEEPING ON THE COUCH” TO HIM
He would immediately shake his head and his arms shaping an X with complaining noises. “Okaka.” He furrows his eyebrows at you. When you walk towards the living room, he’ll block your way, quickly standing in front of you with his arms stretched. “Okaka.” He shakes his head again, placing a hand facing you to stop you. “Takana?” He’d be worried why you don’t want to sleep with him but on the couch instead. If you keep denying him, he’ll probably pull your arm in a childish manner so you won’t walk any further away from him.
◈ — BREAK UP PRANK ON HIM
His arms would fall onto his side along with his smile. He’d feel so betrayed, like, why would you say that? “Okaka.” He shakes his head frantically and holds onto your hands tightly. “Okaka.” He says again with more firmness. If you insist on your act, he’ll pull you with him to sit down, quickly using his phone to express himself since he has so many things to say at this moment and if he doesn’t let it out soon, he’ll end up grumbling gibberish at you with his hands thrown on the air with different gestures. His hands are sweating and shaking with his heart beating fast against his chest as he tries to type as fast as he can, clearly seen from the many amounts of typos and slipped words, but you understand him anyway. When you tell him it was just a prank, he’ll look at you with wide eyes and drop his phone on the couch, “Ikura!” He sulks before throwing himself onto you, embracing you tightly and nuzzling your cheek aggressively with his nose.

Ray, more of the Assassination Classroom Fem!Tsuna hit. This is entirely your fault, so you get to deal with it.
Tsuna has a sinking feeling in her gut the first day of middle school. She gets turned around and mixed up, and somehow she ends up on a bus, and she’s racing through the woods and into a classroom full of strangers. She’s too embarrassed to say anything so she slinks into a seat in a corner. She’s in the wrong school, the senpai at Namimori Middle have her in entirely the wrong town. Even a dame like her can recognize Kunugigaoka uniforms. Hibari-senpai is going to be so angry with her.
Nothing could have prepared her for Koro-sensei. — Tsuna is petrified. She’s too young for this. After all the ruckus, everyone’s attempts, that’s all that rings in her head. She’s too young for this. She’s not even supposed to be here. — Tsuna is stuck. She can’t afford to take the bus, or the time to take the bus, from Namimori everyday. In retrospect, she really does have to hand it to her old senpai. They’d gotten up early to ‘walk her to school’ and paid to get her on the bus. But it’s coming close to the end of the day, they’ve come no closer to assassinating Koro-sensei, and she doesn’t have bus fare home anyway. She’s not even sure Mama would be able to keep it together long enough to come get her.
Everyone in Namimori knows her Mama needs, help sometimes. Everyone is glad to give it to her. Tsuna just doesn’t trust that anyone would think helping her Mama help Tsuna would be a good thing. — Trembling, Tsuna stays in her seat at the end of the day. What should she do? What can she do? She’s just Dame-Tsuna, in the wrong grade, in the wrong class, in the wrong school, in the wrong town. She keeps her head tilted down to allow everyone to ignore her tears.
A gentle touch to her shoulder makes her flinch. She tilts her head up to see Koro-sensei standing at her shoulder. — Calling Mama was useless, just like Tsuna knew it would be. She’s just thrilled that her “Dame-Tsuna” managed to get into the prestigious Kunugigao despite her, everything. Tsuna loves her mama, she does. But sometimes Tsuna thinks she could hate her a little too. Karasuma-sensei and Koro-sensei are both very angry.
Tsuna wants to cry that it’s not her fault. Mama tries to love her and pay attention to her, but Mama is sick. Something doesn’t work right in Mama’s head, like something doesn’t work right in Tsuna’s. But while whatever went wrong in Mama’s head means that she has a hard time remembering things if she doesn’t see them, whatever’s wrong with Tsuna is just everything. — They get her an apartment. It’s close to the school and a market. It’s basic and bare and empty and tiny, but Tsuna supposes she’s tiny so that makes sense. Karasuma-sensei is her neighbor, but she’s left to basically make it on her own. She gets a small stipend, the only one in class to do so. It’s not much, but it should be enough for groceries.
She doesn’t know how to cook. She never learned how to do what her homework is asking her to do. At least she can tell herself it’s because it’s work two grades above her and not just because she’s dame. — Karasuma-sensei is kind enough to get her to school the next day. He’s also nice enough not to say anything about her still red eyes, or how long she sobbed last night. He just handed her a handkerchief.
Tsunami can’t remember the last time someone was so kind to her. She waits for the ridicule to start, but it never comes. — After a few days, when it becomes obvious and impossible to ignore that she’s just as stuck here as the rest of them, Nagisa-senpai gives her a girl’s uniform. It’s big on her, but at least she doesn’t stand out this way. As much.
Tsuna pricks her fingers bloody, and her stitches are crooked, and the seams are bulky, but at least it kind of fits her a little better now.

Tsuna is kind. Tsuna is compassionate. Tsuna, unlike many bosses, does not see himself as more than simply because of his station.
The only people who are capable of bringing out the entitled, spoiled, possessive Mafia Prince - the tiny piece of Tsuna's heart that is a stereotypically behaved Vongolian Sky - are his closest family. And even then, they can only manage it in very specific circumstances.
Allow me to clarify:
Imagine Tsuna, in a café filled with rubble and smoke, looking down at Hayato's fallen form. He stares at the blood seeping out from Hayato's chest - the chest that was torn open when Hayato jumped in front of a bullet meant for Tsuna.
(The assassin's corpse is cooling on the other side of the room, dead too late at the edge of Takeshi's blade.)
Tsuna keeps his eyes locked on Hayato. Hayato, who lies limp and motionless, no matter how much sun flame Ryouhei pumps in to him.
It feels like a dream. It feels fake. He feels detached from it all, like he's watching the world from far above and emotions can only reach him after traveling through a mile of cotton.
"Move," he tells his sun, his dying will flaring in the midst of his strange numbness.
His sun yanks his hands back, as instantaneously as if he were following a reflex instead of words.
Tsuna surveys the scene for another second, still through that mile of cotton, and then decides, "No. No, I refuse."
And, after all, does he not have a right to? He, the holder of the Vongola Sky Ring, the Guard of the Vertical Axis, the Sky of Skies. Is it not his birthright to seize hold of, to command, the threads of time?
He reaches out, burning, and undoes it.
An orange glow erupts around the two of them - his Hayato, and the assassin.
And then there is the assassin, alive again, aiming at a spot Tsuna is no longer at.
And there is Hayato, alive again, throwing himself to protect where Tsuna once stood.
Tsuna already has an arm raised, and sends a blast of power at the assassin. The assassin crumples. And then Tsuna is turning around, spinning towards Hayato, and he feels, within him, a hot, violent rage swell up. How dare he. How dare he.
He stalks over to his Right Hand, hands shaking with anger, and he spits, "You."
His Right Hand looks at him, all wide-eyed and taken off guard. As if he's not a fucking thief.
Tsuna snarls up at him, right up in his space, "Sit."
His Right Hand's knees fold. He just barely manages to catch himself against the table directly behind him, and it's not so much sitting as propping himself up, but Tsuna doesn't fucking care.
Tsuna's fists clench, and he stares directly into those green, green eyes. "You," he seethes, "took an oath, Gokudera Hayato." He feels himself burning, dying will an inferno on his skin. "You swore yourself to me, yes? Your life is mine. You do not have the right to take it from me."
His Right Hand, his storm, his Hayato, says nothing, eyes wide and face pale and lips parted ever so slightly in shock.
Tsuna feels incandescent with rage. "You dare-"
And then he finds himself losing the words, swaying in place as exhaustion slams down across him.
The last thing he feels is Hayato's arms coming up around him, warm and alive and oh so gentle, and the last thing he hears is Takeshi, saying - absolutely delighted, Tsuna knows that tone - "Oh, he is going to be so embarrassed when he wakes up."
And then darkness.

because reborn is chronically allergic to saying what he means and showing sincerity the same way some people would die from anaphylactic shock from eating nuts (but really he's just a loser) while tsuna grew up bullied resulting in a distorted self-perception i don't think tsuna will ever realize that reborn cares about him as more than just a job
reborn is like "why yes of course he knows i care about him i stay with him even after my job to groom him into the perfect successor is done after all" but tsuna is like "yeah of course reborn stays with me even after i become a boss he clearly doesnt trust i wont fuck up and thats fair i will definitely fuck up without him"
and none of this will ever be addressed unless a third party interferes

Imagining there’s a whole language for flame users based off of what colors they’re wearing particularly when it comes to skies. Like everyone tends to lean into wearing the color of their own flame. Occasionally you will see someone throw on a splash of orange if they are looking for a sky but for a sky? For a bonded sky? Wearing the color of one of their guardians is seen as giving them favor, of holding them above all others, of claiming them publicly even more than their bond has already claimed them.
All this to say Tsuna wears a red shirt and Hayato, the only one that understands the unspoken rules, runs face first into a wall

I just thought about how Tsuna would have to learn how to put his “seal” on official documents. The guy who still hasn’t figured out “not ending up in his underwear” and only remains clothed thanks to some very generous handmade clothing from Reborn and Leon.
Which at least tells me he’s got some subconscious idea of how to not turn his clothes to ashes
Using test papers doesn’t work, and using identical duplicates of actual important items doesn’t work because of Tsuna’s stupid intuition, and using real important papers is out of the question
So Reborn asks the kids to draw something for Tsuna
It’s fine if it’s burned but Tsuna really will not want to. There aren’t any “real” consequences if he fails… Except for the ones Tsuna gives to himself
“You’re so evil…” Tsuna mutters, staring hard at the crayon drawings in front of him. Out of all three, I-pin shows the most talent, though Lambo has the most. Interesting. Interpretations. Is that supposed to be a grasshopper or the couch?
“I could have made you use your birth certificate y’know.” Reborn says it so casually Tsuna almost doesn’t register it at first. “That’s what I did to Dino”
Tsuna gapes at him, “You’re really super evil?! That’s dangerous!”
Reborn shrugs. “It also failed.”
“HUH”
“So I tried it with Romario’s next. Perfect score.”
A long, drawn out sigh. Really… Reborn’s methods always produced so much misery. “I really don’t want to burn this…”
“And why not?”
“Because the kids made it for me!”
“Don’t you think they’d be happy to have your mark on it?”
Tsuna blinks, lips parting slightly in question. “My…?”
“The flame seal is something that cannot be copied, replicated, or forged.” It’s easy to tell, now that they’ve known each other for long enough, that Reborn is just the slightest bit relieved by Tsuna’s interest. “It’s more unique than even a fingerprint. A truly, one of a kind signature.”
Tsuna mulls those words over, and his eyes slide sideways. Contemplative, and just a little bit shifty. Something about it is reminiscent of Gokudera. “Can I see yours? Like. Really look at it. You showed me but I didn’t get to observe it much…”
“Observing isn’t going to do you much good.”
“Please?” Tsuna’s voice pitches with the plea, verging on whining. “Just… One more time. Let me look at how your Flame acts when you do it.”
Reborn sighs. “Sun and Sky—“
“I know! I know they behave differently. Still… I think I’ll get something out of it!”
“… Fine.” Lately, it feels like Reborn has been giving in to Tsuna more and more. It makes him happy. It also gives him the courage to reach out and stop Reborn before he can apply the seal to a random scrap of paper, instead looking carefully at the way his Flame appears when still on his finger, face pinched with concentration.
He knows what sun flames look like usually, but this is a tighter control than that. Even if they're different, he's noticed that Sky and Sun are the most similar when it comes to their "resting" states. So, logically, this should help give him an idea of how his own should look when it’s ready. Shouldn’t it?
“What happens if you try and apply it to a person…?”
Reborn stares at him. And stares. And stares. "Tsuna,” he starts, slow, incredulous. “You happen.”
Tsuna blinks back at him. “I was born?”
“The seal, you idiot. The one from when you were a toddler.”
“They’re the same thing?!”
“I dearly wish I could have started with you earlier. Much, much earlier.”
Despite the earlier acid, Reborn sounds fond when he speaks of the prospect. Tsuna thinks that’s worth something.
“Now that you’ve had your fill of looking.”
“Uuuugh.”
He manages not to turn the drawings he’s been given to cinders.
It really is all about having the right material to work with.

My feelings about Tsuna (from a the traditional "loser of society"/disabilty perspective)
Tsunayoshi Sawada, to put it bluntly, brings me such immense joy to have and hold as a protagonist in a shounen manga.
He is a loser like me, and despite his character development, he stays that loser. From the perspective of a mentally ill high school drop out, that means the goddamn world to me.
He is not a generic shounen protagonist that goes from average to godly.
He doesnt have a harem, he never even gets talked to by girls.
No, hes a bundle of nerves and snark that cant do math, sucks at swimming, and keeps putting his foot in his mouth and so so so much more...and by the end of it, despite still having these traits, hes still a better person.
Yes, Tsuna is a better person. Just. Not by capitalist or "American Dream" standards.
No, hes living his best life in ways that are manageable for everyone.
He isnt living a life full of regrets like he used to. Hes trying new things from talking to his crush enough that they are now friends to taking leadership roles among his family.
He is proud of the people he has come to consider friends and family to the point that even in the midst of battle/arguments with them, he still loves them. This is a far cry from the early arcs, where he is embarassed by Gokudera.
Self improvement manifests in many ways and Tsuna is. He's improving as a human being, not necessarily a power ranking based improvement like most shounen do with their training arcs here and heroics there.
No, Tsunayoshi is an example of improving internally with a nudge here and a push there by his loves ones.
As Nana would say: he may not go into a good high school or college, but he is glad to be alive.
From one loser to another, I love Tsunayoshi Sawada and he makes me want to be happier.
And sometimes, isn't such a goal what makes life living?

Everyone seems to forget that Tsuna is affected not by one but by TWO "bad" parents. In this essay I will bring down both Iemitsu and Nana.
Tumblr media
Iemitsu is considered a bad parent because Tsuna himself says so, and we gotta trust what the victim says. If Tsuna claims his father is a deadbeat father, than that's what his father is. Iemitsu might be a respected chief, an understanding mentor and a loving husband, there is no denying he fulfills those roles wonderfully well however, he falls short on his role as a father and that's the role Tsuna most needs out of him. Tsuna doesn't need his father to be a respected chief or an understanding mentor or a loving husband, he needs his father to be a father first and foremost. Instead, Iemitsu tells Nana to claim he was dead/missing. And she did (and I'll be coming back to this later). Now, not only did Tsuna have to live with the fact that his father up and left the house, he had to live with the fact that his father was also, very likely, dead.
Iemitsu-father was dead to Tsuna for two years, the boy had definitely come to terms with it by the start of the series. Except, Iemitsu wasn't dead at all. While it's treated as a comedy skit in the manga, the absolute rollercoaster of emotion Tsuna must have felt at that moment is unimaginable. "I lived with my mom and dad but then my dad started leaving for work until one day he stopped coming home, and then my mom told he was missing but he actually wasn't... oh, and he involved me in some dangerous mafia business", try explaining that to a therapist.
Offenses committed by Iemitsu:
Leave his son without an explanation while his son was at a vulnerable age (Tsuna was at least old enough to remember his dad leaving the house)
Telling his wife to write him off as dead/missing because "It's more romantic that way" (I haven't seen the episode in years but I just checked and that's exactly what he said, wtf)
Appearing in his son's life after being "dead" for years without a reasonable explanation (and no, claiming that he was doing that to protect his family is not an explanation, that's an excuse)
Appearing in his son's life only after he got said son involved in the mafia business
Disappearing as soon as everything is over and not being heard of again until he wants to
Acting like a father when he killed that role himself
I can understand the first offense, after all, Tsuna was a small boy when Iemitsu left. "You were a child, there was no need for you to know" is something adults repeatedly say when they refuse to elaborate on why they kept a child in the dark; and that's something I understand, I don't condone it but I do understand it. But Tsuna was clearly at an age where he could remember his dad leaving, he was at an age where he was emotionally grown-up enough to see his father leaving the house as being the same as being abandoned.
Tumblr media
ツナ 「オレと母さんを残して ずっと家を空けてたあんな奴に・・・」
Tsuna uses the word 残す (nokosu) which means "to leave (behind)", which often carries a sense of forgetfulness, as though the act of leaving something behind was done because the person forgot about. "He left behind my mom and me" = "He forgot about us and left". And then he goes on to say "That guy (derogative) was always away from home", which further drives the point that Tsuna has some strong resentment towards his father for leaving without being heard of.
The second offense is, in my humble opinion, bullshit. The japanese use this particular word 「ロマン」 (roman) which is many times translated as "romantic", but which is used to describe a feeling of "pursuing impossible dreams or ideals which deeply define a character". This particular word is mostly used by japanese men to describe a feeling of longing for impossible dreams and ideals that women just cannot understand.

Nana (I'm coming for you so sit tight) is so japanese in her essence that she's a woman who is attracted by the idea of a man chasing his impossible dreams (a man who is living the roman), and Iemitsu feeds on that by telling her to write him off as gone and "as becoming one with the stars", because that's more romantic than telling your kid his dad will be doing construction work. A husband and a wife who very obviously love each other and who both think living by their ideals is a much higher priority than their responsibility towards the child they brought into the world. The third offense shows how different Iemitsu and Tsuna are. Iemitsu claims he was keeping his family in the dark because that was how he protected them (through ignorance), and that's bullshit and Tsuna shows us exactly why, like a 100 or so chapters later. During the Future Arc, Tsuna was made to choice between telling his friends the whole truth or keeping them in the dark for their own safety (like Iemitsu). Tsuna decides to say the truth, because he knows what it means and what it feels like to be kept in the dark, especially regarding something that concerns the person directly. Tsuna made that decision because he had been in a similar position.
The fourth offense is perhaps there to show how incapable of being a father Iemitsu is. Iemitsu reappears in Tsuna's life only after Tsuna becomes involved with the mafia, because that's what Iemitsu is good at: the mafia. Perhaps Iemitsu was more involved in the mafia than he was in a normal family situation, which is why he lacks as a father, because he very simply doesn't know how to be a father. He can train, mentor and support Tsuna in the mafia way because that's what he knows how to do, however, that's not what Tsuna needs nor wants. Tsuna needed a father, but that father wrote himself off (so Tsuna unknowingly got another father and this one refuses to leave him alone) and Tsuna had to come to terms with the fact that he didn't have a father to depend on. And that's where the conflict between Tsuna and Iemitsu comes from: Iemitsu trying to act like a dad to the son he had educated to think of him as dead.
To Tsuna the situation must be something like this: his dad gave him up for adoption and now keeps coming back, trying to act like a dad because now the two of them shared the same hobby.
Sorry, Iemitsu, Tsuna found himself a better dad! Although you succeeded in ruining the dad-role for him, so now he's left with some complicated feelings towards Reborn, whom he sees as a figure he can depend on but whom he cannot call "dad" in fear it might end up like it did with you.
His fifth offense ties in with his fourth. Iemitsu only appears when there is something about the mafia going on and then disappears as soon as the situation is no longer related to the mafia. He only tries to act like a father to Tsuna when the mafia is involved, and that is absolute bullshit because that boy needs a father even outside of the mafia.
And finally his last and most important offense: how Iemitsu killed the image of a father in Tsuna's head.
Tumblr media
At hearing the news that his father will be back home, after 2 years, Tsuna's shocked reaction is treated more as a joke than a legitimate emotion someone might have towards the sudden undeadness of a father. Nana, his own mother, even goes as far as belittling him and his intelligence when she says (more explicitly in the anime): "Aww Tsuna, you actually believed that story about his disappearance?" and then "How do you think we pay for your school expenses and food, if he were really gone?"
Tumblr media
Iemitsu intentionally killed the existence known as "dad" in Tsuna's head, and Nana helped. Tsuna started the series convinced he no longer had a dad, which is why he ended up depending on Reborn, because Reborn was the first authoritative figure that called him a loser to his face while also believing Tsuna was much more than that. Reborn appeared exactly as the kind of figure Tsuna didn't know he needed in his life.
Though both Reborn and Iemitsu are there because of the mafia, Reborn stays for more than just the mafia, and Tsuna can see that. Iemitsu only interacts with Tsuna when the mafia is involved, while Reborn is there for him regardless of whether or not the mafia is involved. Reborn was sent there to make Tsuna the next boss, yet all Reborn did was make this loser of a kid get some confidence in himself and make some friends. Between a tutor whose intentions he knows (he's there to make him boss but somehow he's also trying to make him into a better person) and a dad whose intentions he doesn't know (he tries to teach him this mafia thing he really doesn't want to be involved in), Tsuna's heart chose the one figure he didn't know he always wanted in his life.
Nice going, Tsuna!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I bring this conversation between Tsuna and Iemitsu, which I think further shows the conflict between them.
ツナ 「帰ってこなかったあんたが オレの何が知っている!!」
家光 「お前は愛する母さんとの間に生まれた 俺の息子だ」
Tsuna: "What could you possibly understand about me?! If you're never home!" Iemitsu: "You are my son, born between me and the woman I love."
In what is a typical parent cliche, Iemitsu claims he knows Tsuna solely based on the fact that Tsuna is his son. This is a psychological trap which many parents seem to fall for: a belief that they will always know their children best because it is their children (and that their children might not know themselves because they are still children). Iemitsu fails to acknowledge that Tsuna is his own person and that he might not want to live by his ideals. As to why parents do this? Well, ego, most likely. A parent thinks themselves a god because they created a child, and refuse to acknowledge the fact that their child is just another person they will have to learn to know.
Now, Sawada Nana. The amount of information on this woman is so little that she might as well be of little influence to the plot, expect she's not!
Let's start from the beginning. Nana is described as being kind, but her kindness seems to only go so far, as she will and does ignore things she does not want to deal with. Reborn kicks her son in front of her? She leaves them alone. Her son keeps coming home with mysterious injuries? She ignores it.
Tumblr media
Again, all of these are treated as comedy, and Nana is just like any other anime/manga mother. She appears as a 1-dimensional character with no other role than to be there for every other character that isn't her son.
Tumblr media
Nana, like Iemitsu, does the bare minimum for Tsuna as a mother. She does provide him with meals and a roof, however she completely neglects the emotional support the boy very obviously needs. There are instances in which she even belittles his feelings (such as when Tsuna was freaking out over his father's appearance and she proceeded to laugh and point out his naiveness at believing her lie).
What kind of freaking mother makes fun of their son for believing something they said?
Certainly not a good one!
And lastly, it was Nana who allowed and helped Iemitsu in being a bad father. Tsuna holds his mother in high respect because he believes Iemitsu abandoned her too, and that is why it is easier for him to forgive her and not his father. However, it was through Nana's emotional neglect that Iemitsu ended up ruining the image of a father in Tsuna's head — her passiveness is what allowed Tsuna to grow into the weak-willed character we meet in the beginning of the series.
In conclusion, both Iemitsu and Nana are to blame for Tsuna's loser behavior. So, if we're gonna talk about how bad of a father Iemitsu is, we should acknowledge the fact that Tsuna has a mother who allowed all of that to happen.
You're welcome to step up and shoot me, I'm open to constructive criticism!

Hiii! I don’t usually make requests that often so sorry if it’s a little vague. Would you be willing to write cuddling hcs for Tsuna, Gokudera, and Yamamoto with their s/o?
╰┈➤     (✿˵•́ ૩•̀˵)৴♡*    Hello ! Hello ! There's nothing to apologize for, thank you for starting us with something cute.
.𖥔 ˖ PAIRING  :  y / n × Tsuna, y / n × gokudera,  y / n × takeshi. gender neutral & TYL setting. .𖥔 ˖ WARNING  : Pre-establish relationships, just a very slight mentions of NSFW under gokudera.  No beta reading, might have clerical errors
Tumblr media
.𖥔 ˖  SAWADA, TSUNAYOSHI. .ᐟ.ᐟ
━━━ Tsunayoshi's shyness never did retire, it goes on crippling him back to when he's just a middle schooler with a dreadful sort of all consuming crush. With clammy hands and heart beating against his chest - he could have sworn you'd hear it , feel the sweat a top his skin and when you do feel his discomforts, ( his body too warm, him breathing too hard . . . whatever self-conscious thing that worms its way into his head ) he's sure to see your face contorting in disgust. BUT you never do. You embrace him a little closer and he scrunches his nose in relief.
You'll learn quick that Tsunayoshi holds you too carefully, arms hesitantly wrapped around you, stiff with shaky breaths, but unwilling to leave all the same. His eyes are often shut tight, holding his breath until you squeeze a gentle reassurance into him, lulled into your comfort. He's happiest with you, safest with you, wants to be like this forever with you.
I think Tsunayoshi ends up with a severe case of night terrors, what can I say? The trauma got to him! For a long while, he couldn't really sleep properly, but having you there sure eased those fears.
He'll find himself seeking that special space beside you more often than he'd like to admit if only because he thinks he's bothering you. ( Is he being childish? unmanly? do you hate that? was he being too clingy? god forbid! ) - he could never verbalize this need but you'll sure see it in his face, just the way he looks at you, you know ? Can I hold you?
You are Tsunayoshi's charging station, his favorite place to be. Home becomes the space between your arms. & he'll hold you a little too desparately sometimes, like the first breath you take after drowning.
Tumblr media
.𖥔 ˖  GOKUDERA, HAYATO. .ᐟ.ᐟ
━━━ He had read about it, the benefits of cuddling. He tells you unprompted and whether or not you knew about it hardly really mattered, he couldn't just say it straight could he ? It'll 'boost immunity' , it's a 'good stress management' , It promotes sleeps, just so you know. He says one time, face drawn crumpled into an embarrassed displeasure, like he's angry at you . . . but you should know better by now.
Gokudera is neurotic ; he thinks of all the awful scenarios before anything else and a simple hug, unless absolutely perfect, could lead into unknown perils and disasters. It has to be perfect! He has to do it right! But he's clumsy above all else and even as an adult he remains inane when it comes to the matters of the heart. How do you do it? The perfect partner, lover. There's no instruction guide for that, is there?
So there he is, rigid against your arms, rigor mortis stage of death, he's supposed hug you back! He knows about this! But he isn't breathing and his eyes are drawn wide with fright. ( Where you suppose to feel this comfortable? where you suppose to feel this good ? ) When he finally moves to embrace you, you'll find his hugs tight and needy, don't go - stay. All over again, he feels uncool. This is not a perfect hug but when you move closer, snuggle into him just as enthusiastically as he had been, he feels all his worries melt away.
Ah, but he doesn't like that he's greedy - cuddles always lead to one thing and another, makes him want a kiss, to hold you longer, maybe, maybe just feel you a little more.
Gokudera would likely , vividly remember every little thing about you — the way you feel against his skin, how you smell, how you sounded... seared into his cranium. So! he's obsessed, you should have seen that coming!
Tumblr media
.𖥔 ˖  YAMAMOTO, TAKESHI. .ᐟ.ᐟ
━━━ Quick to heave you close! Takeshi's shyness lay just beneath his inclination to keep you near, he had always been predisposed to touch . . . you'd noticed long before you've gotten together, how he'd linger just a little bit too close, loiter in your space and stall just to stay there, more often than not his habits are thoughtless, never preemptive, always just an unanticipated impulse. ( but there you would be, apprehended into a comfortable embraced, squeezed just enough to remember how you both have bodies, how you feel against his. He'd be red faced, blushing peachy pink like he isn't the perpetrator of this crime - and even if you aren't a hugger, you'd think it isn't too bad, you also found out Takeshi has a sway on people, he has a sway on you too. )
You might think it's sly, when he's able to settle into you urbanely, charmed smile across his face and hands along the dip of your hips. He's shy, really, he is! With his heart tapping across his chest lamely, nervously . . . ! but he knows where his body should go, knows where to hold you just right. Knows to ask - "can I?" - "May I?" , knows to kiss you thank you when you grant him affection. There's nothing clever about this, nothing methodical in spite of what it may seem, he feels clumsy and he's in love. He doesn't know what to do with himself really.
He's unwilling to let you go. (It's childish he knows.) but once you're caught, he'd wished for you to stay there - just a little bit longer, a little bit more. Takeshi feels he's a bit too self-indulgent, like he's being too greedy, but self-restraint is difficult when you feel just right, when you allow him to be eager and humor his troublesome self. A kiss follows and another and another, he's smiling through it, likes to murmur your name smothered with i love yous.
Forgive him for being overwhelmed. He'd be very dog coded when it comes to his partner, very enthusiastic . . . to say the least.

Ed and Al actually graduated ages ago, they both have multiple degrees and are published scholars, but they keep showing up to school bc of Tsuna
They just walk in and sit next to him and the entire study body and faculty (excluding Hibari) are too scared of Ed to say anything
You know what? Yes I could totally see this being a thing. Because Ed and Al in regular ass public school?? Al might be able to deal pretty decently cause he's better with people and overall able to mask the fact that he's feral most of the time but Ed? Faced with that level of boredom and incompetence in the staff??
Oh god they're all lucky the school system is still standing, Hibari or no Hibari.
Eventually, Ed and Al just start using their class time to take more university classes online or, in Ed's case, pick fights with people in math forums.
The staff is lucky that Ed stopped taking the classes over and teaching them himself because Tsuna pulled him aside and was like "brother, you keep making everyone but me and Al cry, please stop trying to force us all to learn university-level math".
Which is rude but also true.

I’ve recently seen the “who would be best reincarnated as Tsuna”.
love the Urahara option.
He would find a way to get a basement lab. Reborn gets a headache just looking at his file.
Now for the idea of Urahara as Tsuna we need to first answer few questions . That being :
Is he still in the Bleach Universe ?
Yes]
He decides to relocate himself to the candy shop
Reborn is gonna have to try and hunt down the Vongola's heir all over Japan and when he finally does find him he wished he didn't .
Because he now has an ex-master assassin turned mad scientist who is definitely a Mist (and for Reborn's horror also a Sky)
Not to mention the elements he has claims not as a Sky but a Mist they are terrifying like his Sky , or Lightning or God forbid The Cloud
Needless to say Reborn gets beaten to the ground regularly
Because :
Karin wants to practice shooting a football ball strong enough to knock people out but not kill them ? They have a hitman !
Ishida wants to practice archery with moving targets for hours on end ? They have a hitman !
Ichigo wants to learn how to play darts? They have a hitman !
Simply put any time anyone needs a target the hitman gets thrown in to suffer .
Then the Varia Arc happens
And with Kisuke who not Vongola but to fuck with them . Changes the chosen bloodline on the ring , so now only Xanxus and his descendents are gonna be eligible as a giant fuck you to both Lemitsu and Timateo . With Xanxus as Neo Primo
Reborn wants to run away but can't because no one can outrun Ichigo and Yoruichi who are teamed up
Then the Arco ark happens and Urahara has to mend people's messes and so fixes the planet because Ichigo has been through enough shit already he doesn't need more that's the main reason . The way way smaller second reason is so their target practice hitman doesn't kick the bucked too early
No]
Well the world is doomed
Because Urahara he is either going to find a way to Isekai either himself away or Isekai his loved one here there is no in between
And if he needs lots and lots of energy (like the all the energy of a falling on itself world) to get himself in the right universe he will do anything needed for it

wolcred week |  3. 'need / want.'
Never in his five years of being had he seen Norvrandt's commonfolk in such high spirits. How that woman still had energy for merry-making after everything they've been through, he couldn't know.
She was a fascinating spectacle: one moment she was showing off her footwork he recognized as distinctively Lominsan, and then she was floating across the floor, tangled tightly in a foxtrot with a Eulmoran come to join in the festivities.
Ryne couldn't seem to take her eyes off them, hands clapping along to the rhythm of the jaunty tune being played across the way. If he didn't know any better, he'd say she was eager to join in-- a better time for a girl her age than to be clinging to his side, no doubt.
She cheered along with the gathering crowd as Tsuna and her partner finished their round, and it was only moments until the next number started up.
He supposed she danced to console her heart.
If she stopped dancing-- stopped moving-- even if for a second, the despair would seep its way in through the cracks. She would exhaust herself until there was nothing left. She needed this.
"It's so wonderful to see everyone so spirited," Ryne giggled with a joy that did not cease to swell his heart. "I never knew she could dance like that... did you?"
He had been silent for far too long, he realized with a rueful smile-- too focused on not watching the feast in front of him, try as he may to dodge the furtive glances Tsuna would throw over her shoulder.
He hummed, looking into his tankard, thoughtful.
"Not quite like this," he snorted. "At this rate we'll have to carry her home."
He looked up at the opportune time as Tsuna began a daring pirouette. For a moment they met eyes, and in the next motion her arm extended to the two of them-- her fingers beckoning.
He chuffed a laugh, looking away again.
An unsteady click of heels from his periphery meant that the object of his affections would not be denied.
Tsuna came to them, out of breath and sweating a fine sheen. She fell into his arms, thoroughly drunk on mirth and spirits.
"If I didn't know any better I'd say you were ignoring me," she teased. She was right. "Dance with me."
Ryne's mouth fell open, silently enthused with the idea.
He cast her a pointed look, the corner of his mouth twitching with a touch of frustration as he had to peel her from his chest. "Now there's a Hell I would not suffer," he huffed a laugh, and Tsuna fell into a girlish pout that did not suit her. "I believe there's enough biting at the bit to have your hand already."
Her lips quirked in an impish smile as she reeled herself back in. The look she gave beneath her thick lashes was meant to entice. "At least buy me a drink?"
He was much too sober for this-- and in the company of Ryne, no less.
His brow raised. "I think you've had quite enough," he said, firm.
Tsuna held his gaze a moment too long before sighing dramatically.
Drink motivated her to suddenly pull Ryne in by the shoulders, hugging her possessively, despite the girl's embarrassment. "Then I shall have no choice but to steal. Your. Date." She declared. "He's so boorish, isn't he? No fun at all."
"I-- Well, I suppose a bit--" Ryne stammered, looking torn between loyalties, and obvious want.
He wasn't sure whether to be irritated or amused, but resettled himself against the bar all the same. Had Ryne seemed more opposed to the idea, he may have felt the need to step in, however...
"Just..." He held his breath, and exhaled with a sudden, deep sense of regret. "Go easy on her, won't you?"
Tsuna burst into a fit of laughter, hugging the girl until she squeaked-- her horns nearly poking something vital in her fervour. Clearly, she would not be heeding his warning. "Come on, the next one is about to start--"
And then the girl was dragged off.
And then he was alone.
He looked at his empty tankard and frowned. He had thought to sworn it off. It was used far one-too-many times as a crutch, but perhaps he would drink-- for old time's sake-- to join in the merriment. Just a singular ale to start, he figured.
That was, until Urianger curled his lanky-self around and reminded him-- in excruciating detail-- of where a flagon so often led him in the past. Out spilled a veritable list of his drunken conquests-- a familiar name only barely escaped the roster before he loudly begged mercy.
It would be water for the night, then. Water.
