I am a female and I like girls! I’m in my 20’s, My physical appearance is 5’3”,midsized. I have short black hair with a white strip on both sides. Im ghost pale, little no acne, lots of moles and I scar/ bruise very easily so my skin is far from ✨~perfect~✨. Personal thoughts about each type (this is relative cause I haven't met people of every type yet)

INTJ- I think I've met someone who's an intj (even tho I don't remember who). Btw I just think that some of you give off those "whatever you say is wrong" vibes and that honestly makes me feel uncomfortable. Also. I don't know how to approach you and that's an issue.

INTP- Okay I have a friend who's an intp like me and honestly he's the person I like to talk to the most. Like yes we talk via ig once or twice in a year but hey- our conversations last hours and we can talk about 100 different topics all together. That's cool.

ENTJ- I don't know if I ever met an entj but I'm pretty sure I would be intimidated by them.

ENTP- Reading about the type I thought they were cool but I actually have a "friend" who's an entp and.. well.. she talks really a lot and yes it really looks like she always has to say the opposite as you do and that's pretty annoying. BUT you guys are so reliable for criticism and I appreciate that.

INFJ- P U R E  G O L D. You are fallen from the sky you don't belong to this universe I'm so sure about that. I'm curious: Have you ever found an example where visual typing did not work? Or did you just assume that you had mistyped that person?

i’m answering this in two categories because the circumstances are completely different:

category A: examples people send me here on tumblr (either themselves or friends/family). data is extremely limited; usually less then 10 pictures, most with questionable quality. the clues i’m looking for are like 90% disguised and i have to extrapolate from that very limited information with an respective error rate.

-> extremely high chance of visual mistyping and i’m fairly open about that error rate which is just slightly better than tossing a coin and not really trustworthy. can be compared to someone sending me an ask with a poem they wrote and asking “do i have i Fe or Te”. like...sometimes i am lucky and the clues are all clearly there and i don’t have to dig further. but more than often i’m like “dude, i don’t know, i can’t tell, i need more data, do you have more/other pictures or a video?”. which i guess is a bit disappointing to the one asking for help lol. but i’m not a magician. it’s a numbers game. everyone knows that results are only as good as the quality and amount of data you put into it.

people who have contacted me before will know that my conclusions can  also quite suddenly change depending on the input i get. someone can send me 20 selfies with makeup and i’ll be like “uuuuh, not sure but probably Ne??” and then they send me a single additional pic without makeup and i’m doing a full 180 and be like “nope, nevermind, Se it is”.

in all those cases tho i am still convinced that the fault is not in the method but in the data input. someone sending me only one pic: 50/50 chance of being correct. someone sending me five pics with different expressions and light situations: 70/30 chance of being correct...

it’s like a doctor trying to diagnose someone via video chat. it can work, but usually it’s better to see the person irl.

category B: examples from personal real life (my own friends/family or those of close friends). data is seemingly endless. i have access to clear visual information -and- i can quality check it against other methods of typing -and- compare my results with those my friends got.

- Ne vs Se: no visual mistyping there afaik. is there a way of knowing 100%? of course not. but how do you reliably prove any typing result really, regardless of method? i wanna know, suggestions welcome. what visual typing did here is confirming 90% of the Ne vs. Se typings we concluded through other methods way before we came up with the visual clues. and it has helped solving and explaining those 10% odd cases ala “the online test said they are ENFP but the person doesn’t show any Ne irl and is really focused on sensory things, maybe they have been gripping for years?” or “that friend who we typed as ISFJ has a lot of similarities with other ISFJs but their painting and writing style looks so much different, really lacking that typical detail-overload and instead focused on ideas and concepts, weird” and a lot of “you know what... i think person x might actually have been an ESTP instead of an ENTP all along” followed with a “fuck... i wanted to suggest this for months too but i wasn’t sure yet??”

- instinctual variants: a few cases with visual mistyping and several open cases with “??? no idea, couldn’t tell even if i got more data”. e.g. people looking like soc-doms when all other clues point to them being soc-blind and other funny stuff. that’s why i personally don’t recommend typing someone’s instinct visually only.

I'm currently watching locke & key (mainly because of your post about it) and I was wondering what would you type the kids as. I see Bode as an ENFP, not sure about the enneagram since he is still a kid (maybe a 4???? idk), for Kinsey I agree with cp 6, ISFJ??? Tyler tho I'm not sure, he seems like an ISFP, and I see lots of 3 behaviours in him, especially in the flashbacks. I just started it so I don't really have the full picture yet, I'm just too impatient. Thanks!

I binge-watched them the day it came out, so I am not ‘firm’ on the types; hence me remarking awhile back that I should re-watch it before I type the kids. I liked it a lot, so I plan to do that sometime soon.

Bode is an NFP, yes, though which one is debatable. His intuition seems to come and go (I’ll grant you, it’s because the writing isn’t that good at times; the script seems to want to keep them ‘stupid’ to advance the plot twists) and he is mostly introverted, so I’m open to INFP. His Ne was most visible when it came to the bouncing castle of his mind. I had him pegged as a 9 -- he seems chill and calm, hates conflict and tries to diffuse it, and moves to 6ish “what should we do??” under stress.

Kinsey... is weird. I 100% thought her an ISJ for the first three episodes then she veers off into SP territory with her reckless, hedonistic behavior -- but that could be inferior Ne gone wild since she effectively ‘took out’ her cp6 fear. The Si thing about her is continual referencing to her personal past, apprehension about the unknown, her family-oriented focus, and her ultra-organized, spotless mind. I don’t really see her as a Fe, though. She can be harsh / blunt toward her mother. She refuses to open up and talk about her feelings to anyone. She adopts an attitude of “I don’t want to choose between two boys; do you mind sharing me?” that takes neither one’s feelings into consideration. (IMO, that nice boy who tries to include her in all his group activities is the SFJ.) Yet ISTJ doesn’t seem completely right either. :/

Tyler... is not an introvert. He is a social extrovert -- easily makes friends (his mother even comments on it, tells him to watch out for his sister, since “she does not make friends as easily as you do”), moves on quickly, distracts himself in momentary pleasures, and inserts himself into all kinds of situations. He seems Fe-ish at times with his ‘group-oriented focus’ (he instantly has to be the boss and expects to dictate his siblings’ behaviors like a Fe-dom) but his behavior is very much Se-driven -- impulsive, reactive, and sensual. I see him as either a 2w3 or a 3w2. He doesn’t have a good sense of self. I could see his dictator-like ordering his siblings around as tert-Te under stress.

The only character that really strongly stood out in terms of a decent typing argument was Well Lady, an obvious ESTP 8w7.

-dream jobs: oh man uhh. i used to think i wanted to be like a genetics/evolutionary biology professor and do research on evolution or cancer or hiv/aids and teach at like ucsf or something. or like work for nasa as an astrobiologist, or maybe work as a vet for a zoo. but now i don’t think i wanna do that anymore? to be quite honest if i could be 100% guaranteed whatever job i wanted i think i’d want to be a showrunner for an animated show on cartoon network or adult swim, like not something just with storyboards or animation, but like actually involved in the writing of the show. i’d love to write for a tv show on cartoon network or something like the office or brooklyn 99 or even a story-based video game, or maybe like do something where i get to just joke around and be funny all the time like what the mcelroys or game grumps do but. i have No Idea how to go about doing that and honestly i think jobs like that just happen to people randomly so it’s not really like, a Secure Job Option To Pursue. but i really hope somehow i end up doing something like that. i just wanna do something where i can create something meaningful that i’m proud of and see people connecting with it and feeling happy and inspired and less alone because of it, and maybe liking it so much a fandom or something grows around it. i’d be so fucking happy if that happened.
