I really want to write a survival story of someone that really wants to die, but can't. Not because they were cursed with immortality, but because of the fact that they simply cannot bring themselves to die. Everyday they wake, their body just moves without their permission—gathering supplies, fighting hostiles, ensuring their survival. They want to die, but stronger than this is their undying will to live.

#suicide mention #story idea #or is this #character idea #they say that story writing is about writing about your traumas which i dont necessarily relate to but like...#when i was really anxious and depressed i couldnt eat #i was starving but i couldnt bring myself to eat #i didnt want to eat #but anytime it seemed my stomach would accept something i'd force myself to eat #and when there were no times my stomach was accepting but a long time had passed since i did eat i'd...#i'd force it down while crying LOL #i wasnt suicidal but i wanted to die #but i couldnt #not asked for opinion but anxiety is way more worth committing suicide over than depression #the physical effects are terrible #but i'd love to capture that in a story #an inability to give up #die fighting #the character for this would be a flight first fight second and freeze never #the kind of person thatd get their arm pinned under rubble and would rather cut off their arm than die trapped

Just got a grade back from my covid riddled midterms and at 67% my prof is telling me he understands it's a profoundly terrible result and he will allow me to redo the paper. But... I passed! 67 for a paper I did without being able to breathe. For a 300 level course. I literally did it in my sleep and I passed!! Fantastic result!!!
