Ok look. I hate hate hate apple fanboys who act like androids are awful. But at the same time you are doing the exact same thing. Literally. Full stop, android and Iphone are comparable, and most of your claims, while have some merit, are wildly exaggerated.
Letâs break them down:
âBreaks down after a yearâ ironically enough, phones released when you made that post, 2018 support modern iOS, although this will be the last version they will. Apple, while they donât promise too, provides 7 years of software support to there devices, and with a few exceptions, hardware usually lasts much longer than that.
âDraw unnecessary power after 2 yearsâ ok, so this is kinda related to the first one. Apples philosophy centers arround making things as polished as possible. To do this (and part of the reason they are able to support old phones for so long) they change power profiles and other settings with each update to keep your phone running as smooth as they can. Look, I kinda agree with you on this one, itâs stupid, and if anything they really need to make it a toggleable setting, but itâs not objectively a problem, since it does benefit some users. I wish theyâd make it an option, but apple centers arround keeping the user as comfortable as possible, and most users wouldnât want to change these settings if they did exist. Itâs a policy I disagree with, but itâs not objectively bad.
(Summarised your point on this) âone port, cables break and are expensiveâ ok fair, but you really exaggerated this one. Temporarily putting apple using usb c now aside, lighting is a bit frustrating but itâs not that bad. A braided usbc to lightning cable is $10, with probably slightly worse quality than an $8 comparable usb c to usb c cable. If you donât buy the shitty overpriced apple oem cables, they are only slightly more expensive and perfectly durable. Ok looking at apple moving to usb c, itâs been more or less solved from the average user perspective and nearly everything supports usb c. From a more technical perspective they did a whole lot of fuckery with speeds and such, but again, apples whole ethos is to give the average person a good experience that is simple. Itâs a stupid ass ethos that I disagree with, but I also think itâs important to acknowledge that some things they do can be explained by this, and objectively itâs not the worst ethos ever.
(You said $900, cause 2018, so Iâm assuming you meant) âoverpricedâ yeah fuck apple for their prices youâll hear no argument from me here
âRemoved audio plug, only works with air podsâ ok I donât know why I hear the second part so much, iphones work perfectly fine with every single Bluetooth device to exist. Hell they even have half decent audio switching between multiple connected devices, something some android phones donât even do. Yeah it fucking sucks that they donât have a 3.5mm jack, but honestly, a decent pair of like cmf buds are like $25 on sale, you can get usb c earbuds to use in emergencies, and honestly, imo thatâs good enough. If you care about wired headphones, you can buy a phone that supports them. iphones usually are designed to cover most cases pretty well. Wireless earbuds are genuinely more convenient for most people, and I think while most arguments for the 3.5mm jack are fine, itâs just kinda irrelevant, since you can get a phone with a jack elsewhere, or a decent pair of wireless earbuds. Long story short: donât buy airpods and this isnât really an issue for the people apple hopes to sell phones too. On a personal note, i wish phones would have 2 usb c ports and we would embrace usb c earbuds, but thatâs kinda besides the point.
Ok
With all that being said
Fuck apple, fuck their fanboys and fuck everything they stand for. Itâs actuslly fucking insane the shit apple fanboys say. I know this post started by correcting you a bunch, but genuinely, I agree with every word here:
This isn't a drag against you this is a drag against apple, the company. Their products are price hiked to an insane, impossible degree. They aren't selling you the product, they are selling you the superiority of being able to smugly say you have an iphone.
They deliberately built up a culture of apple supremacy (especially as a class barrier but i aint even gonna go into that), and now people are making posts like "Imao android users have a bad camera" (they dont) or "Imao android users send bad snapchats" (the android version of snap is deliberately coded to force lower resolution images in order to, surprise, get people saying that exact thing to further encourage #iphoneculture)
Buy an iphone if you want lord knows l've bought frivolouss things but can you PLEASE recognize youre being deceived??? theyre playing you every single time you make a post about your iphone and buy into their culture to squeeze more and more money out of you and divide the market and inevitably the classes.
You are right about the social aspect and youâve said it way better than I could. I just want to clarify some of the technical points, because, idk, i want to help people learn what they donât know. You seem like you really mean well, just try to keep in mind that a lot of the âbugsâ you see on the iphone are features. They arenât meant for you, they are meant for the people you called out at the end of the post. And honestly, i donât really think that specifically is that bad. Having a simple product for people who use their phone in simple ways isnât inherently bad, but apple does have other things they should be called out for.
Look, I have an iphone. I got a used iphone 11 for my second phone because it was a decent deal, and it runs well. I donât personally have a problem with it, although I often notice some features lacking. Now, I tend to do stuff on my PC or laptop anyways, so maybe if I did more technical things on my phone I would hate it, and I do plan on buying a pixel for my next phone when this dies, but really, itâs not that bad unless you really care about certain features. Also in case I somehow gave the impression that I care about any of the class war green vs blue bubble bullshit, I hate it so fucking much because i canât react, have read receipts, or edit/delete messages to androids. The people who think that way are stupid to not see it hurts them too.
âlol Android users be like-â your phone is designed to break down after a year, your apps are all programmed to draw unnecessary power after 2 years, all your accessories and hardware are arbitrarily made with only 1 kind of plug in mind so you canât use them with anything else or get them from anywhere else, the cables are 150$ and break in a year, your phones will not charge if there is lint in the port, the stores will ask you for 150$ to remove that lint, the phone itself is 900$
But your chat bubbles are blue so that balances it out right

having flashbacks to inquisition's reception on the old bsn and how so many mfers insisted dorian and krem's stories were unnecessary ham-fisted after school specials, how they also somehow asked "does sera really need to be a lesbian? it doesn't even come up in the story :/" and how josephine's romance with a woman "didn't fit" because you play the gallant knight to her noble lady (tell me you don't know anything about sapphics w/o telling me you don't know anything about sapphics lmao).
anyway i just read a tirade on youtube about how "tHeY uSeD tO hAnDlE ""this stuff"" (queer people) bEtTeR, eVeRyOnE tHoUgHt so" & i'd just like to remind everyone that that's not true. people did in fact claim that sera, dorian, krem, bull, etc were cringey writer self-inserts, that they scolded the player for disagreeing with them, and that the games themselves were trying to tell you what to think and how to feel about queer people.
i cannot emphasize this enough: i heard countless times that dorian's ENTIRE CHARACTER was Being Gay, that he was a camp gay stereotype, and 'why won't bioware give us a REAL (hypermasculine) gay guy whose story doesn't have parental rejection and a super on-the-nose conversion therapy allegory instead of david gaider's blatant self-insert??? :((('
so, for people who feel like they Just Have To decry the depiction of taash's queerness in favor of something less "in your face": it's always been "in your face" and crybaby reactionaries have always responded with discomfort because in their ideal medieval fantasy, queer people don't exist or are violently stigmatized if they do. either way, the status quo remains the same and the result is they never, ever have to think about queer people except as a lesson in what not to be.
#ALSO. an extra special fuck you to the guy who said the only reason sera got a marriage was bc same-sex marriage was recently legalized <3#sorry you couldn't het-marry your chosen waifu i'm sure that was sooo painful for you#cw transphobia#cw homophobia#cw biphobia

The light reflects the chain on your neck [Aaron Hotchner x Birthday!Reader]
Masterlist (updated!!)|| Ao3||Word Count: 700|| AN: It's my birthday weekend, so I wanted to share a few ficlets of Reader and Hotch inspired by that. These will be fully self-indulgent, so I apologize! Tags/Warnings: female reader, reader's birthday, gift giving, BAU!Reader, building romance, fluff. Summary: You wouldn't have picked Hotch to be the gift-giving, birthday-celebrating guy--but for you, he is.
The bullpen was quiet--quieter than it had been in days. The case had been a long one, stretching over state lines, exhausting every last ounce of patience and energy you had.
But it was done. The unsub was caught, the victimsâ families had answers, and the team had finally made it back to Quantico, some retreating home while others finished reports under the dim office lighting.
You stayed behind, not ready to leave just yet. There was something about the stillness of the office after hours that felt grounding, like the adrenaline still coursing through your system needed time to settle before you could convince yourself to sleep.
Hotch was still here, of course. He always was. His office light glowed faintly through the blinds, casting long shadows across the walls. He had come downstairs at some point, returning from whatever final briefing he had to endure, and now he was across from you, leaning against the edge of your desk with that ever-present sense of quiet authority.
His tie was slightly loosened, and his sleeves rolled up past his forearms--telltale signs that even he was tired.
âYou should go home,â he said, voice low in the near-empty bullpen.
You smirked, raising a brow as you leaned back in your chair. âYou first.â
He huffed a quiet breath, amused but not entirely disagreeing. Instead of responding, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, neatly wrapped box, setting it down on your desk with the kind of deliberate movement that made your stomach flip.
Your brows furrowed. âWhatâs this?â
Hotch met your gaze, expression unreadable but tinged with something softer. âYour birthday was two days ago.â
You blinked. With everything that had happened, you had barely thought about it. The case had swallowed up the week, leaving little room for anything outside of work and exhaustion.
âYou remembered?â
He gave you a look--one that suggested he found the question absurd.
You hesitated only briefly before taking the box, fingers carefully peeling away the paper.Â
âAaron Hotchner,â you paused at the wrapping paper, raising a brow, âyou got me a present?â
His expression was unreadable, save for the faintest flicker of amusement in his eyes. âYes, thatâs generally what people do for birthdays.â
A quiet laugh left you, shaking your head as you continued to unwrap the gift. âI didnât think you did birthday gifts.â
âI donât.â He hesitated, then added, âNot usually.â
The weight of those words settled over you, heavier than they should have been.
You pried it open with delicate fingers, breath catching at what was inside. Nestled neatly in a small velvet pouch was a locket. Simple, elegant, something you could wear every day without it drawing attention.
Your fingers traced over the smooth surface, its weight both unfamiliar and achingly familiar all at once. âI had one like this when I was a kid,â you murmured. âBut I never knew what to put inside it.â
Hotch remained quiet, watching you with that quiet intensity of his.
You carefully pried the locket open. Inside, on one side, was a small photograph of the team--one of those rare moments where you were all together, laughing, existing beyond the chaos of your work. On the other side, a second photo.
Just you and him.
It wasnât staged. Wasnât forced. Just a candid moment from an outing you didnât even remember, the two of you standing side by side in quiet conversation, the familiarity between you obvious even in a still frame.
You swallowed hard, blinking against the warmth creeping into your chest. âI canât believe you remembered this photo.â
Hotchâs gaze didnât waver. âI remember everything when it comes to you.â
The words settled somewhere deep, somewhere you werenât sure you were ready to acknowledge yet.
You werenât sure a man had ever bought you jewelry before. Something about it⌠jewelry--it felt soâŚso intimate.Â
You exhaled a quiet laugh, shaking your head as you traced the edge of the locket. âYou know, youâre dangerously close to ruining your reputation.â
His lips twitched, the closest thing to a smile youâd get from him in the middle of the office. âSo Iâve been told.â
Silence stretched between you--not awkward, but weighted with something unspoken. Something neither of you had put into words, not yet.
You glanced at him, something caught between gratitude and something else--something deeper. âThank you, Hotch.â
He nodded once, then pushed off your desk, his voice softer than usual. âCome on.â
You pocketed the locket carefully, grabbing your bag before following him toward the elevator.
For the first time in a long time, the idea of going home didnât feel so lonely.

Hello! I'm not actually just talking about current policy, I'm talking in general about the state of contemporary American politics. I'm currently in college studying to get my degree in order to GET a higher paying job. What makes that harder is that I am physically disabled and also being treated for several chronic illnesses while working two jobs. I'm willing to bet that I work a lot harder than you, because I have to. I always have. You don't have to agree with me, not even a little! But at least do a liiiittle more research before claiming I'm jobless lmao. And maybe saying that a 21 year old has "wasted their life" is a bit dramatic and silly.
My post is about the cost of living being too high, not whining about Republicans. Every president of this century, regardless of what side of the aisle they stand with, has supported corporate lobbying. That is fascism. That's what that actually means. I'm criticizing the current administration because they're expediting the exploitation of working class Americans, something Dems did a lot more slowly.
MAGA is fascinating because I'm watching this Battered Woman Syndrome develop in its supporters. I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a similar faction of people blindly supporting Democrats. But with you guys....it's not even frustrating. It's just sad.
You follow a person who is so blatantly in favor of all these terrible things, and you believe them when they tell you that the history books warning you were falsified, despite real world experiences by hundreds of people who are still alive. You believe them when they tell you that we're sub-human, despite living in communities alongside us. You are told which news sources are trustworthy and which ones aren't and that we control the weather and the banks and Hollywood and medicine. You are told that we are indoctrinating your children by teaching them about the good and bad things our country has done. You are told that all these groups of people are out to get you because certain politicians want to become a savior for you so they can stay in power and enact institutions that wipe out anything they deem threatening to their way of life. You are told to not believe your own eyes and ears, that every bit of evidence that cracks at your worldview's foundation is doctored or a conspiracy. You are told to only ask questions that act as a "gotcha moment" instead of learning about it for your own intellectual growth. You are, like so many political dickriders, so tied into a group of like-minded people that it's frightening to consider leaving that, which is exactly what you say about anyone who disagrees with you, and you're afraid of shattering that already fragile belief.
How do you believe anything at all?
do you actually realize how fucking dystopian it is that I'm donating plasma every week just to afford breakfast?
Or have we all become so desensitized to current displays of fascism that we've adopted the VERY naĂŻve belief that "if there aren't bodies in the street then we're not in danger?"
#Cults love recruiting energetic and intelligent people.#And this isn't even MAGA specific#This is so many political parties around the world.#And I genuinely feel so bad for you

memoria [also on AO3]
Thank you to @ekingston for creating the multifandom flash fiction challenge [here]. I did another round and got: Hurt/Comfort, Hallucinations, Amnesia, A string of text messages.
rating: T - Canon Divergent - 1k words
The phantoms had done a number on her. She wasn't even sure how she managed to escape. But she was breathing still, even if it was difficult.
She couldn't remember how she got there. Wherever there was. Or how long she'd been here. Her head was throbbing, and when she lifted her hand to touch her forehead, her ribs disagreed with the movement, and her hand came back bloody.
She was tired, maybe she should rest a moment. The cave she was in, seemed like a nice enough place to do just that. So she sat on the floor and rested her eyes.
"You have to stay awake," a voice said.
She ignored it. She was so tired.
"Kara, you can't sleep."
Kara, that was her name. She'd forgotten it.
She tried to open her eyes, they felt heavy, but after a few struggling second, she managed to open them. She found herself in front of the most beautiful being she'd ever seen. She was sure of it.
"You have to stay awake," she said. "We will find you soon enough, but for that you have to keep yourself alive, darling."
Kara forced herself to nod. She would stay awake.
"Okay, I will stay awake."
She did not know how it had happened, but when she opened her eyes again she wasn't on the cave anymore. She wasn't even on the Phantom Zone. Or at least she didn't think they had a sterile room, with monitors and a bright yellow lamp in that place.
"Thank god you are awake," a voice to her left said. She knew that voice, she just couldn't place it.
"You gave us a scare for a second there," someone else said. That voice was familiar too. She'd heard it recently. It was the reason she's survived for so long. "Glad you are back, safe and sound, Kara."
"Can I sleep now?" She asked instead. She was confused, but she remained tired.
"You should, to be honest," the first voice said. "Get your strength back."
Whoever that was, it wasn't who Kara sought approval from.
"You can rest," finally that familiar voice granted. "We will be here when you wake."
She was safe now, the voice meant. No more phantoms, and Kara let herself sleep.
"What do you mean she doesn't remember anything?" A blonde older woman asked.
"That's why we called you, mom." The redhead, Alex, said. "We retrieved her from the Phantom zone, but she doesn't remember anything. She didn't even remember landing here. Amnesia, obviously but we don't know how bad it is. She should have healed with the yellow sun radiation."
They weren't in the same room as her, they were far and talking in hushed whispers, but Kara could heard them as if they were next to her.
"I got you your favorites," that voice said, distracting her from the conversation across the hall. "Potstickers and pizza."
"My favorite is roast babbotch." She declared.
"I suppose you'll have to try first."
Lena.
She'd said her name was Lena. She was so very pretty, regal, and Kara just knew she was important to her.
"You saved me."
"We all did," Lena said offering some kind of fried food. "The super-friends wouldn't rest until we bought you home."
"No. I saw you there," Kara explained. "Told me to stay awake. Why do you think was that?"
Lena looked at her, in silence, longer than Kara expected.
"Your subconscious probably, because of your head injury."
"But why you?"
"Because," Lena gulped. "We care about each other."
Pizza and Potstickers, were way better than roast babbotch.
Eliza thought it was temporal, because of the traumatic experience and the head injury. Eliza who was apparently her adoptive mother.
Her mother was floating somewhere in space on Argo City. Kara was very confused as to why she had apparently stayed on Earth. With an adoptive mother and sister.
She was told yellow sun radiation gave her powers and healed her, but for now she wasn't, and Lena was cleaning the cut on her head again.
"No pain, then?" She asked.
"Not on my head, no."
"Anywhere else?"
Kara simply touched her side. It wasn't a new pain, Lena knew about it.
Lena nodded, "I brought something for you." Lena produced a notebook, teal colored. "It's your journal. I thought it could help you remember. I've been⌠staying at your loft, I found it while I was collecting my stuff. But don't worry, I've not read it."
"Why are you staying there?"
"I needed a place to crash. Alex said I could stay there." Lena gulped. "And I missed you."
"You are my mate, yes?" Kara frowned, both confused and hopeful.
"Your⌠Iâ we," a series of notification sounds coming from the device in her hand interrupted. She looked at it and stood up. "We are not together, if that was your question. I have to go. I'll be back later. Read it," she pointed at the journal. "It might help."
Others came to visit her, Nia, Kelly, Alex, Brainy and J'onn. But Kara was waiting for Lena, because she read the journal.
"I'm in love with you," Kara said as soon as Lena entered the room.
"Kara, don't."
"I know we are in a tough spot," Kara explained. "But you deserve to know, and I fear that when my memory comes back, I'll be too cowardly to tell you. So, you need to know it. And it's not an excuse," she continued. "But my mistakes and the bad decisions I made with you, were because I'm scared to death of losing you, because I love you."
Silence was almost suffocating. Until Lena finally opened her mouth.
"You read all that in your journal?"
"I don't have those memories, but I know myself enough to recognize it."
Lena waited a beat, then nodded.
"When your memory comes back, we will talk about it. We have a lot of baggage to sort through."
"I can wait, zhao," Kara smiled.

Do you think campaign 3 suffered a bit too much from the chaotic neutral/stupid "it's what my character would do!!" mentality from the PCs? As someone who both DMs and plays, when I'm a player I always try to exhibit a serious interest in the story my DM is trying to tell no matter what I'm playing, because I KNOW how much time and effort it takes to DM a long form campaign. It feels like Matt tried to give them an inch and they took a mile. Like I know they're friends, but if that was *my* group I was DMing for I'd straight up be pissed about how they were interacting with the story (I mean I probably would've scrapped it halfway through but I also know that wasn't an option for Matt).
I actually disagree and in retrospect, put the bulk of the issues in Campaign 3 on Matt; not so much in an accusatory way so much as a "I think you really needed to take an extended break before this story and have put much more effort."
It is very true that you can have players who don't want to play the story you are telling, and that's on them; however, that is only the player's fault when they were given guidance on the campaign/got the vibe of the table and refused to listen. I've been really vocal in the past about that one D&D post that goes around in which someone talks about playing a nonviolent cleric who resurrects everyone the party kills because it's like...my own belief that if you want nonviolent D&D you actually want a TTRPG that isn't combat-focused aside, this isn't what your table wants and you are actually being more of an asshole by going against the table's vibe than by doing pretend violence. However, for example, I run Netherdeep and I play in a game inspired by but not specifically Curse of Strahd, and this is vital information that I shared with my players/was shared with me by my DM prior to character creation. If I hadn't told my players anything other than "make a character from Wildemount" and they had developed an extensive backstory on the Menagerie coast that they expected me to run with, and instead the story was about following the path of an amulet to an entirely different part of the continent and then a different continent altogether? They'd be right to be confused and annoyed! A big part of the problem is I can't fault people for playing their characters when they spent the first 30-ish episodes unaware for sure that this was The Moon Campaign and probably the first 50-ish episodes unaware that this was Exclusively The Moon Campaign. That's a quarter to a third of the campaign of playing and developing a character without the intent of being in this very specific game! I posted about Fearne last week, and honestly, despite how fucked over she was by the narrative she became one of my favorite characters for that reason, ie, I do think Ashley played her truthfully and in a compelling way.
So actually I find the opposite is true. I think a lot of the cast came to the table in good faith and found that the effort they'd put into backstories with compelling hooks for what they were told would be a pulpier and deadlier campaign was largely abandoned in favor of a moon plot that was neither. If I were a player, I would be pretty annoyed at the DM! I think the cast tried their best to engage with a plot that was very much not designed around most of their characters and/or demanded very specific things from their characters that were not what they had envisioned, and were given insufficient guidance to boot. I do agree that ideally they would have had some kind of mid-campaign realization and subsequent discussion and perhaps, if not scrapped it, at least maybe decided to play different characters voluntarily, or otherwise amicably divided "The Story Of Bells Hells" and "The Moon Plot That Was The Driving Purpose Of Campaign 3" into two separate works.
I think something important that came up in the criticism of C3 and the pushback as well is that amount of effort does not mean something is necessarily good and worthwhile; sometimes a meticulously plotted campaign concept into which the DM put tons of effort is just not what the players wanted nor were prepared for, and that does to me mean it's not as good as an off the cuff minimal prep West Marches campaign if that's what everyone at the table wanted. You should be respectful of the DM's effort and recall they are a player; but part of that is saying "hey, I feel like I'm lost and that this story really isn't what I expected, can we regroup?" No one is, to be clear, an asshole or villain here, and there are a number of complicating factors throughout the story; but I do think Matt not prepping the players is the singular biggest issue with C3, and most of the issues with the finale were his as well.

Hello! Could I request the period comfort for Toya and Akito as well? Thanks!
âhow could you do what you just did?? (are
you having a really bad period?)â
⥠Period comfort with Toya Aoyagi and Akito Shinomome
anything to say, tommie?âŞ
if tumblr ruins the quality of my banners one more time iâm going to riotâŚ. how do you guys like the new theme? i LOVED my jewel pets, but i though it was time for them to go, yâknow?âŚ<\3
before anyone says anything, yes, a rui fic WAS supposed to come out today. as always, i could give a million excuses but it doesnât change the fact iâm an unreliable writer! iâm going to work harder to post more! rui should be out tomorrow, sorry this was so short after such a long break. thank you to all of my loyal readers who havenât unfollowed me due to inactivity! i love you all:(
mewnies warningđŚš
AFAB! reader, but gender not specifically stated! mentions of periods (obviously), meow
Akito Shinomome

â If youâre someone who gets bad mood swings, get ready for him to sound like a total douche
â He really doesnât mean to, he swears! He just catches himself writing any disagreeable feelings off as pms
â Pulls the classic âAre you on your period?â whenever you two are fighting near that time of the month
â If you give him shit heâll⌠apologize⌠but heâs usually right. He has to keep track of these things, yâknow? So he knows when to avoid you
â IT MAKES HIM SOUND LIKE A MONSTER, BUT HES JUST SUCH THE TYPE TO THROW SNACKS, HYGIENE PRODUCTS, AND A HEATING PAD AT YOU AND JUST⌠RUN.
â It begs the question of what heâs thinking youâre going to do to him⌠Maybe heâs traumatized from Ena? Itâs anyoneâs guess
â If youâre a more weepy type heâll definitely give you a good cuddling, but the second things look bad for him heâs being weary
â A very coddling âCâmere, babe.â as he scoops you up is very boyfriend of him, but a little more babying would be nice
â If you go to ask him something, Heâll just go on autopilot
â âYes, Iâd love you if you were a worm. No, I wouldnât eat the strawberries, no Iâm not mad at you- Hey, how about a snack?â
Toya Aoyagi

â The perfect opposite to Akito, heâs not afraid of a little bad attitude
â Babies you within an inch of your life⌠Doesnât even mean to, but he just loves you! Why wouldnât he want to comfort you when you donât feel good!
â Grew up with two brothers and⌠him⌠so heâs not very well educated on women
â Genuinely thought that girls shed once a month because of something An said⌠You ended up having to give him middle school health class again.
â Buys you snacks, but unlike Akito he WILL stick around and hold you
â Thinks heâs doing something by putting his hands in your tummy, you donât have the heart to tell him his hands are freezingâŚ
â Heâs very sensitive to your issues though, even if heâs a little socially inept
â Sure, heâll linger behind you at school like a crazy person, giving a âHey, howâre you doing?â every two minutes, but he also buys you drinks from the vending machine during lunch and keeps ibuprofen in his school bag.
â His worst nightmare is you thinking he takes you for granted, so even things as small as periods make him want to pamper you
â Heâs not very good with words, he hopes his actions speak for themselves and you understand just how much he cares for you

>Elon illegal seized (stole) 80 millions dollars in FEMA funding from New York, he's ending government contracts so he can get his own contracts signed, and he's attacking agencies that previously punished him for mismanaging his businesses.

I like how you don't even pretend to back up your original claim about welfare. You just pivot to a new claim and act as if the last one never happened.
This is a common bigot tactic. Because they don't reach conclusions from first principles, they believe and say anything that props up what they already believe.
>No amount of your denial will make way is happening okay.
>The fact is that you're okay with it because your own side is doing it.
"Everyone already agrees with me and knows I'm right, but some of them just won't admit it! I am very logical."
I'm not American, or conservative. And I criticize and disagree with "my side" all the time, on a variety of issues. In fact, many people get mad at me for it.
You're projecting your own partisan bias on me.
>A foreigner has been granted one of the most powerful governmental positions possible,
Elon has been a naturalized American since 2002.
Weird how immigrated people are suddenly just "foreigners" when the left wants to attack them.
Done now.
How fucking insane is U.S. politics when there are people out there defending the politicians who are stealing their tax dollars

The Loyalty of Wen Zhuliu in The Untamed
Okay, I know this is maybe one of the more peculiar places to start with The Untamed analysis/commentary considering all the Big Gay Feelings and the Microexpressions and the Queer Allegory. But I was so incredibly surprised at how much I loved the character of Wen Zhuliu aka The Core Melting Hand. An unorthodox choice (haha see what I did there) for a Top 5 favorite character from the show, and definitely one that @lurkingshan questioned me about, and what it came down to was the way his loyalty to the Wen Clan manifests- especially in comparison to Wen Qing -because WZL does not appear to have a limit to the orders he will follow while WQ very, very much does.Â
Loyalty is such an important aspect of The Untamed, with various characters experiencing some rather severe consequences for the actions they take in the name of allegiance. Wen Qingâs loyalty to the Wen Clan is forced through her and Wen Ningâs adoption/threats of violence to her loved ones hanging over her head. Wen Zhuliu, we donât know all that much about how he came to swear fealty, but it appears like his commitment to the Wen clan is completely voluntary. [FWIW, my headcanon is that every other clan was too scared of his core melting ability and shunned him, but that isnât really relevant to the conversation at hand.]

gif by @icantgetanythingdone
Youâd think in a scenario like this, with one personâs forced hand and one personâs proffered one that the tolerance threshold for evil deeds would be reversed. Generally you would assume that Wen Qing with so much more to lose, would require a lot to brazenly betray the Wen Clan. Whereas, Wen Zhuliu might just decide his debt of gratitude suddenly has a time limit. And, sure, you might be thinking âwell, Core Melting Hand did choose to work for the Wen Clan so obviously he would be super willing to do evil deeds without ever betraying them.â Which yes, that is a valid read, but my impression of Wen Zhuliu is that he frequently disagrees with the actions he is taking, but who does them anyway, and who does not always take the action that will keep Wen Chao safe, but he also does not use either of those things (his disagreement or his silence) as a way to justify his own moral rightness compared to the rest of the Wen Clan, and that is why I found him such a compelling character.Â
And I promise, Iâm not just pulling this out of my ass, this is the read I got from watching Feng Ming Jingâs performance.Â
Letâs start with what we see of Wen Zhuliu in Episode 13 during the fight between the Wen Clan and the other disciples in the cave.Â
First of all, I was intrigued by the fact that Wen Zhuliu does not join in on the fighting when Wen Chao commands his soldiers to attack the others. Presumably itâs because heâs Wen Chaoâs body guard, but Wen Zhuliu is a formidable opponent and it was a genuine surprise to me to see him sitting back and watching this huge fight take place when he could definitely step in and do some considerable damage. However, that is less important to me than the look on his face as he sits and observes the fighting becauseâŚthis man could not care less. Like his anger at this fight is so far gone that it will take three reincarnations to even feel it again.Â
And if we think about the fact that Wen Zhuliu has sworn his loyalty to the Wen clan and has carried out their evil deeds on a number of occasions, weâd assume that he would have some level of attachment to the honor of the Wen clan and would thusly be even remotely emotionally impacted by this obvious assault on the Wen clanâs power. It is a truly jarring image to see how disparate the reactions to this fight are between Wen Chao and Wen Zhuliu
He only really even beings to tune in to anything happening in this cave when Wei Wuxian starts running his mouth.Â
And if Wen Zhuliuâs purpose here is to act as a bodyguard to Wen Chao, thus explaining why he does not join in the fighting and takes a step forward when the fight starts in order to stand directly next to Wen Chao, then it is also of interest to me that when Wei Wuxian starts walking towards Wen Chao with a sword in his hand, and Wen Chao takes a step forward, that Wen Zhuliu hangs back.Â
As Wei Wuxian recites Glories of the Wen Clan, we see Wen Chao fuming, taking the statement as a direct threat against him.Â
Core Melting Hand however is likeâŚhmmm that sounds familiar to me. Literally shaking his head at Wen Chaoâs response becauseâŚI meanâŚWei Wuxian has a point.
gif by @contagiousrhythminmybrain
And when Wei Wuxian is like âthe punishment for insulting a Wen elder is death without trial, right?â Wen Zhuliu is literally standing there like âI meanâŚ.yes.âÂ
It is only when Wen Chaoâs life is actually under threat, when Wen Chao takes a swing at Wei Wuxian, and gets captured and held at blade point that any level of disinterest in the scene or silent admission to the accuracy of Wei Wuxianâs statements disappears and suddenly he is hyperfocused and the last one to follow Wei Wuxianâs orders to stop the fighting. He only puts his sword away when Wei Wuxian appeals to his loyalty to the Wen clan, reminding him that if Wen Chao is hurt that even Wen Zhuliu will be punished for it.Â
When it is finally time to fight, Wen Zhuliu is quick and efficient, engaging Jeng Cheng in combat for less than a minute before running off to re-join the rest of the Wen clan. At which point he is back to letting Wen Chao do whatever. He has no attachment nor any obligation to anyone in the cave below so what does it matter to him if the ropes are cut? Wen Qing on the other hand, is helped up the ledge by Wen Chao himself, but she is slow to climb because sheâs so obviously worried about the fight below, and she announces her own allegiances when she cries out and tries to stop the ropes from being cut. Wen Qingâs lack of loyalty to the Wen clan despite her repeated promises not to help Wei Wuxian and others again is so incredibly visible.Â
But when Wen Qing and Wen Chao are verbally sparring about Wen Chao sealing up the cave, Wen Zhuliu is tuned the fuck in on that conversation, but it is not Wen Chao that he is looking at, itâs Wen Qing.Â
And when Wen Qing starts to call out the glaring flaw in Wen Chaoâs plan to seal all the cultivators in to the cave, Wen Zhuliu looks away. Obviously he is blurred out in the background and a lot of Feng Ming Jingâs acting work relies on microexpressions, so we are not going to catch exactly what emotion is going on here. But I do think that Wen Zhuliu has a tendency to look away when he is in silent agreement with whoever is standing up to Wen Chao. But that is a whole lotta me reading in to things, so I digress.Â
It is fun for me that Wen Zhuliu is the one to take Wen Qing by the arm and drag her away from the mouth of the cave.Â
Now, I think the part of the show that got me really deeply interested in Wen Zhuliu as a character is, predictably, his participation in the fall of Lotus Pier. Because I can almost guarantee that this man does Not Want to Be There.Â
Like, a) he redirects his attack before he can actually land the hit on Madam Yu to attack Jiang Cheng instead Â

and b) he stands there and fully watches them fly away, and they spend time on that dock. Like, there is a full two minutes of run time where they are talking, and fighting, and she is just standing there on the pier watching the boat float away and she is not interrupted by Wen Zhuliu at all during that time. I fully believe that he let them get away.
And maybe this is because I donât know how his powers work, re: melting golden cores (I assume that it requires more than just him laying a hand on you), but it was not lost on me that Wen Zhuliu is practicing non-lethal methods of martial arts when he is attacking Lotus Pier for almost the entire battle. He does not draw his blade until Jiang Feng Mian arrives, and Wen Zhuliu does not even engage him in a fight. Jiang Feng Mianâs death is swift, and Wen Zhuliuâs blade is bloody. But afterwards? When Wen Zhuliu is overseeing the collection of all the dead, he does not look pleased in the slightest to have achieved a victory here. He even ensures that Jiao Jiao does not further desecrate Madam Yuâs body (âThis bitch Yu! I initially wanted to stab her a few more times. That Wen Zhuliu had the audacity to stop me.â) and Wen Chao even remarks on Wen Zhuliuâs disposition and the beliefs he tells Wen Chao about (âWen Zhuliu has a strange temperament. He talked about warriors rather being killed than humiliated. This person was killed by him. Why is he still talking about these things?â)
So, it is clear to me that Wen Zhuliu does not agree with the Wen Clanâs decision to attack Lotus Pier, he is upset about the death of Madam Yu, and he even stops Jiao Jiao from disrespecting her corpse. He has not been eating, drinking, or paying attention to Wen Chao at all since the banquet started. And yet, I agree with Wen Chaoâs assessment that Wen Zhuliu deserves the most credit for the massacre of the Jiang Clan.Â
He grabs his drink only after Wen Chao tells him to, and here is where we get into the good stuff. Because this man smells his drink, knows something is up, and minds his own goddamn business. This man willingly lets himself be drugged. And says absolutely fuck all to Wen Chao about the fact that their alcohol has been roofied.Â

gif by @icantgetanythingdone
And thus the question of Wen Zhuliuâs unflinching loyalty truly comes in to play. Because what are his boundaries? He is so loyal to the Wen clan that he will unwillingly facilitate the massacre of an entire martial arts sect, that includes someone he obviously cares about or otherwise deeply respects, but that loyalty does not extend to warning the Wen clan about active threats to their health and safety?!
Like, this man is not a double agent, he defends Wen Chao with his life until the end of his life, he is not using this loyalty as a cover to betray Wen Ruohan down the line, he agrees with what enemies of the Wen clan are saying from time to time and he still attacks them anyway. But this man knows that his drink is drugged, that all their drinks are drugged, meaning something is about to go down, and he will have no control over what happens to himself or anyone else around him if they consume that alcohol, and he drinks it anyway.Â
I cannot emphasize enough that the entire Wen clan is knocked the fuck out by this drug and are therefore defenseless to the point where if Wei Wuxian wanted to he could have just walked his self-sacrificing, arrogant, bisexual ass back in to Lotus Pier, pulled a blade, and slaughtered everyone. (He doesnât, but he could have, and he definitely should have) but Wen Zhuliu drinks anyway and does not breathe a word of it to Wen Chao.Â
It fascinates me. Like, is this his way of punishing himself for carrying out the wishes of the Wen Clan? Is this a manifestation of his guilt? Iâd be inclined to say yes, but itâs not like this is the first time or the last time that he will keep shit to himself. And I canât even say that itâs because Wen Zhuliu knows that Wei Wuxian is tied to Madam Yu because she hates that boy. And he melts Jiang Chengâs golden core so he clearly is okay with completely destroying Madam Yuâs biological sonâs ability to cultivate (which I do think leans more toward the humiliation v. death thing that WZL was talking about earlier).
Speaking of Golden Cores, the scene in Episode 19 where he hits Wei Wuxian is the other major moment that really got me when it came to solidifying Wen Zhuliuâs character as one of my favorites in the show. Because, yet again, he knows something is up and he keeps his mouth fucking shut.Â

gif by @contagiousrhythminmybrain
So we know that at this point in the show Wei Wuxian has given his golden core to Jiang Cheng, thus making him mortal and taking away his ability to engage in cultivation. In a number of different ways, Wei Wuxian is no longer a threat. They could kill Wei Wuxian in this moment and it would be easy and I do not think it would be anywhere close to a massive leap for Wen Zhuliu to make the connection between Jiang Chengâs core being melted, him disappearing, and then Wei Wuxian no longer having a core. This is also critical information that the Wen clan should have if they are to continue doing their evil deeds.Â
With someone as (theoretically) loyal as Wen Zhuliu, who has continuously facilitated evil, it would not be difficult to assume that he would find the potential restoration of Jiang Chengâs golden core pretty fucking important intel for Wen Chao to have. It is much less likely that the Jiang clan would be able to rise again and rebel against the Wen clan if Wei Wuxian is dead and Jiang Cheng is mortal. But once again he does not bother to open his mouth, and thus the fate of the entire martial arts world is sealed.Â
And I genuinely donât have a good understanding of how much Wen Zhuliu is okay with throwing Wei Wuxian from this great a height and letting him die in the Burial Grounds. I canât say that he looks particularly happy about it.
But I have to say, they were flying for quite some time, long enough that Wen Zhuliu definitely had room to let Wen Chao know that Wei Wuxian no longer has a Golden Core and that they might want to find Jiang Cheng because his might have been restored. Saying nothing in the moments before a man is about to plummet to his death will not take care of the problem at hand. As someone who owes a debt to the Wen Clan for recognizing his talents, is he not obligated to report something that could be a safety concern for the clan heâs sworn loyalty to?Â
Regardless, we reach Episode 20 and itâs time for everything to crumble. Again Wen Zhuliu is exhibiting genuine care towards members of the Wen clan, literally wiping tears from Wen Chaoâs eyes, tending his wounds, trying to keep him calm. And what does Wen Chao do? He threatens him, calls him worthless, tries to send him away. And sure he immediately backtracks cause heâs a coward and heâs just lashing out because he is scared. Wen Zhuliu has kept his mouth shut on many occasions, but he has also continuously carried out the will of the Wen clan whether or not he agreed with what they wanted, and after all of that, Wen Chao is still treating him like shit and Wen Zhuliu still stays with him until the end.Â

gif by @suriquesse
Wei Wuxian shows up, serving cunt with his evil little flute, and Wen Zhuliu looks like he knows heâs about to die.Â
And I doubt Wei Wuxian has picked up on the same things I have when it comes to Core Melting Hand, but he still gives Wen Zhuliu the opportunity to step aside. Not in a âyouâll be sparedâ kind of way, but in a âI will give you the chance for your last act on Earth to not be protecting this sniveling little babyâ kind of way.Â
And Wen Zhuliu, despite almost certainly knowing that what he says here will not leave the room, that Wen Chao is going to die here, that he has the opportunity to actually step aside and just let Wei Wuxian put him out of his misery, remains loyal to the Wen clan.
There is a fight, and Wen Zhuliu dies choking on Madam Yuâs purple lightning, in what I would consider a full circle moment. RIP to my guy.Â
In conclusion, I want to make it clear that I do think that Wen Zhuliu is evil. The fact that he does not want to be doing the majority of what he does absolutely does not absolve him of his actions. And normally I would not be as interested in a following orders type of character. I think because of how Feng Ming Jing performs this role, I am utterly convinced that Wen Zhuliu does not think that he is better than the rest of them because he's just following orders. Anyway, he is compelling to me as a character because of how his loyalty manifests. It is so much more evil for him to go kill everyone at Lotus Pier than it would be for him to tell Wen Chao that his drink is drugged. It is much worse for him to melt Jiang Chengâs golden core than it is to tell Wen Chao that Wei Wuxian doesnât have his core anymore. So why is it that he minds his own business in those moments?Â
I think what it boils down to is that there is just enough information about the Core Melting Hand in the show to hint at something deeper and more complex below the surface, but there is not enough information to give us a solid understanding of why he is carrying out these orders. All we learn is that the Wen clan appreciated his talents, we have no other context, and I am truly curious how my interest in this character would change if I had more information. Would I consider him in a higher tier of evil if the appreciation was something small instead of like a major turning point in his life? Maybe.Â
Anyway, Wen Zhuliu is an incredibly compelling character despite minimal lines and screen time, and I really have to hand it to Feng Ming Jing for breathing so much life in to the Core Melting Hand that I wrote a whole essay about him.
#I think perhaps the theme i found the most compelling about the untamed was the different manifestations of loyalty#i could probably do a whole essay series just on the different ways loyalty appears in this story and contributes to the tragedy#the untamed#untamed#mo dao zu shi#mdzs#wen zhuliu#core melting hand#wen chao#wei wuxian

is this a safe space to say that i think some of the "anti-tinhatter" focused blogs go about defending Georgia Tennant in an unhelpful way? I appreciate what they're trying to do, and agree with their sentiments, but throwing around bitchy insults and taking personal shots at people just weakens their point. calling people "delusional" and bombarding them with petty insults will never make them see your point. it comes across as childish and people, quite famously, do not take children seriously.
if all you want to do is start stupid drama then you're also part of the problem when it comes to fandom-hostility. calling people names does not help anybody. it won't change their opinion, or make them think any higher of you - OR, by association, Georgia Tennant.
yes these people are generally quite horrible. they are misogynistic and cruel. calling them a "bitch" is horrifically ironic and does nothing but FUEL them. it'll only get worse if you continue to build such a hostile and petty divide. yes, the things they say should be criticised and they should be called out on it - yes, i have also responded to people critically - i'm not saying it shouldn't be addressed. this just isn't a good way to go about it.
also - I won't name anybody and I don't want to, I'm not here to fight - regardless of what you agree with or who is in the right, I think it's really weird to comment on people's sex life?? It might just be me who dislikes this, but i think "he doesn't want to fuck you" (exact wording) is a really strange thing to say when sex hasn't even been brought up. it's really childish, teenage argument type stuff. this was aimed at somebody who i really don't like - they say horrible things and seem to have zero perspective - but it's still a weird thing to say and i recognise that. it isn't helpful AND it isn't even clarified on their blog if they're over the age of 18. you never know who you're talking to online, or how comfortable they may be with comments like that. it's basic respect -- and you might think they aren't deserving of that respect, but i was always taught that it goes both ways. don't sink to their level. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable with a comment like that.
chasing drama and throwing around rude and petty comments does not make you look better. it does not support your cause or message, even if you have good intentions.
it's not 'delusion'. it's misogyny, generally fuelled by jealousy and deeply internalised. at least call it what it is. i agree with these blogs in their sentiments (defending GT) - so don't accuse me of anything else - but i disagree with some of the methods they're using.
calling people names does nothing to help anybody. on the playground or in real life

Oh look, that's straight up Fascism!
Trump said that he is "the federal law" which sounds dangerously close to "I am the law". That's a red flag.
Trump said this to the leader(s) of Maine and how he expected them to comply with not allowing trans students to play sports. Maine said they'd comply with state and federal law, and Trump's fucking response was "I am the Federal law." He then threatened to cut funding to Maine (like bro, didn't you already freeze all federal funds? Eh, I digress). The way Trump threatens Maine with a power the President of the United States isn't meant to wield is another red flag.
I spoke with some locals lately who approached me in a threatening manner (probably still mad about me desecrating my flag) and when I told them about everything that's been going on - the hate and anger, the threats from Trump and the threats to me, the gutting of the federal government, Trump's complete lack of care for constitutionality, and how people have died needlessly from Trumps executive orders, these people straight up told me it's fine. I told them "this isn't a game" but they disagreed - not that this situation is like a game, but actually is a game. They didn't say anything like "it's red vs blu, and blu lost, give it up" but that's not far off from their attitude.
At the risk of sounding crazy, I think these locals are trying to find out who I am, find where I live, and ruin my life. I also think their behavior is worse than simply them being ignorant about what's going on. No, I think these people have some idea of what's happening and just don't care. These are the same people who shout "this is what mental illness looks like" while pointing at me. Even though I do have my own problems I must deal with, I must point out the irony of someone who lacks empathy calling out someone else's mental illness. A lack of empathy is not something to take lightly; this a common trait of the dark triad of personality disorders.
So, yeah. There's no more "ifs", "ands", or "buts" about it. If Trump says he's the law and threatens other states with a power he's wielding unconstitutionally, HE IS A FASCIST. I've been hesitant to use this word to describe Trump, but it is now undeniable.
As for the locals who may be reading this - if you look at these red flags and think everything is fine, we have a problem. If you see Trump's orders directly result in needless and avoidable deaths just a few weeks into his second term and think everything is going just fine, we have a problem. I don't want to pick sides and I'd rather get along peacefully with my community, but if you are one of these monsters and you force my hand, I will fight you, tooth and nail if I must.
Don't Tread On Me.
I'm going to keep playing things by ear for now. Stay strong, everyone. Stay safe, and fuck Trump & Co!

I think the worst part for left aligned jews but they can't go to leftists to talk about how uncomfortable this all makes them.
They have to look at their fellows, see the murder of men women and children, torture and rape by a terrorist group hellbent on killing them all, and watch them being indifferent to it all.
And then knowing they can't even disagree. They can't say "this makes me uncomfortable" and when they hear "communities should speak for themselves" and then see them cherry pick an organization or group that barely represents Judaism as either an ethnic group or religion in order to silence all other voices.
And then I want you to know they do this to every group they claim to speak on behalf of. They aren't speaking on your behalf, they use you as a human shield for their own personal politics and as a justification. They aren't interested in listening to you if you disagree. If anything they will try and make you out to be a hater of what you are actually representing.
And know they do this to every group. They can not be trusted because it took nothing for them to be indifferent to the suffering of people like you. Nothing was required. No mass propaganda, no political order, not even really social pressure. They chose to do that all on their own.
Do not give them a sanction they don't deserve because this isn't about Palestine or Israel. This is about the fact they would at the drop at the hat betray everything they pretended to care about to support what they considered the worst.
What ever you define evil as, that must be it. Don't allow them to speak for you.
We have got to have the guts to talk about what Hamas really did to these people and these kids because the Neo Nazis and Hamas freaks are taking advantage of our tact and filling that empty space of unspoken atrociocity with abject atrocity denial. And it is working and more people believe the atrocity denial than the truth and that denial is being used to perpetuate and enact and justify more Jewish death. We have to talk about what really happened. We owe it to the children who haven't been fucking murdered yet.

very unpopular opinion im sure so ill just spit it out: jons "loss of humanity" arc is... bad. it's written badly.
i'll preface with this: the rest of the fandom (generally) really loves monster jon and the whole humanity debate so if you disagree with me there is a host of other people that support your take instead! dont let me discourage you from what you enjoy, im just some random guy.
that being said- when i first listened to tma and it was all "this is a story about losing your humanity!!" and i just didnt like it, i thought i wasnt a fan of that type of story. and that's perfectly okay! but, as ive branched out into a lot more horror media, i've found such juicy and truly torturous depictions of "loss of humanity" that jon "i read words and feel sad" sims just seems so silly to me. i mean, with characters like daisy that fight with needing to literally kill innocent people to live, knowing she can lose herself to becoming a feral police brutality beast, is it really THAT bad that jon... reads statements?? he doesn't SEE the people he's haunting the dreams of. he hardly seems aware that the trauma eating has any effect at all until someone brings it up to him.
maybe it's just me reading a lot of other books where people can't recognize their faces in the mirror anymore or become bound to blood promises or vampirism or something... but... the eye does not seem like a "am i even human anymore" thing. not like the stranger or the flesh or the hunt. if it's supposed to tell us that jon is just that sad about making people sad, then i didn't really feel anything about that either. hell, i even felt more attached to oliver's statements, and he doesn't have a monster form either. i think the fandom does the thing with all the floating eyes and moth-inspired jons because it's just a little hard to believe that he's "lost what it is that makes him human" when he.. to our knowledge.. just looks like a normal guy that is sad. get some zoloft buddy!!!
Thanks for sharing! Letâs chat!
I see what youâre saying anon! You made your own point really well! Iâll have to⌠sort of? Agree with you? Most disagree because I enjoyed the arc, but you definitely proved your point well!
I think, to play devilâs advocate for you, that itâs sort of a âto-each-his-ownâ thing. Sure, in comparison to other characters, Jonâs descent into⌠avatar-hood may not come off as âhumanity-losing,â but I think, for Jon, he certainly doesnât feel like himself. I think the scary part of it is that heâs looking in the mirror and heâs not seeing himself. And itâs not necessarily as scary to us as it is that we are watching him become scared of himself.
And then, of course, there is the question of what makes us human. What is humanity?
(Buckle up folks-)
I recently took a class where we read âDo Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?â by Phillip K. Dick. (This is the book that inspired Blade Runner, btw.)
The basic plot is as follows: Humans live in a dystopian version of earth alongside androids. There are a couple different characters, and I canât remember peopleâs names right this second, so letâs just say this- Android Hunter goes to work to make sure that androids are identified and kept track of. He encounters a new line of androids that are so nearly identical to humans that they pass the android/human test. This leads him to question:
what makes us human?
The test is based off of intelligence and compassion. If an android could feel compassion, love even, then could it be human? And vice versa- thereâs another character who is mentally handicapped and therefore could not get a human score on an android test, even though heâs fully human. He doesnât have the mental capacity to answer fast enough/with âenough compassionâ to pass as human.
So then, what is it? What makes humans human?
To make a novel short: Hope. Hope is what makes us human.
And I donât just want to say that one book determines our humanity, but I have been applying it to lots of other media recently, and itâs held up really well.
So back to Magnus ((but definitely go read the book I just talked about!)), Jonâs loss of hope- in himself, in his co-workers, in nearly everyone and thing- thatâs the horror.
Jon is gone, and to Jon⌠wow. Thatâs scaryâŚ.
ALL that to say: awesome thoughts anon, thanks for being respectful and writing all that out! I love a well-thought out opinion and itâs lots of fun to think about (clearly!).
Again, thanks for sharing and remember to keep your words kind!
-E
>Hello! Iâm E, and I created this blog to be a safe space to share Magnus Archives/Protocol opinions in! If you are seeing this in a reblog, I want you to know three things:
1) I value respect and kindness over anything.
2) I cannot control what others say in response to anyoneâs opinions.
3) Only you can control your emotions/actions/words. Choose to respond with gentleness, not anger. After all, we all are here for the same reason- why not enjoy each otherâs company?

Yandere Male Hero X G/N journalist Reader
Hiya! If this fic gets 50 likes I'll write a Yandere Villain fic! - Jay
warnings! Stalking, Violence, Yandere behaviour,This is all fictional! I don't condone toxic behaviour!
â¨Yandere Hero who's unable to work a normal job so didn't really interact with anyone other then other heros, villains or government officials.
â¨Yandere Hero you actually met without the mask! To you he was just an social awkward person with a good heart! He seemed really interested in your job as well!
⨠Yandere Hero who looked like a kicked puppy when he found your opinion on heros in one of your articles. You believe it makes civilians complacent and encourages villains to commit worse actions.
"Hey what's wrong Noah?" You asked Yandere Hero. "I-..I was just thinking about that Villain attack yesterday!" Noah was so bad at lying but for once the anxiety in his voice worked. You sighed "As much as I disagree with hero culture, I'm thankful that one hero was there." You turn to Yandere Hero "They kinda looked like you." You smile and nudged him gently. "What!? They look nothing like me..heheh."
â¨Yandere Hero who patrols (stalks) around where you work, where you live or sometimes even where you're hanging out with your friends, what a coincidence! (It's just to make sure you're safe is what he tells himself)
⨠Yandere Hero who's blood drained from his face when he realised a Villain attacked the same event you were at.
⨠Yandere Hero who almost killed this Villain when he saw you underneath a bunch of rubble.
"No no no no!" He screamed out. With strength of a god he lifted the rubble with ease. "Hey ,hey (Name)! Come on open your eyes sweetie. Please? Please? For me..."
⨠Yandere Hero who knows a healer and begs (forces) them to heal you as much as possible. Which you were alive! Just confused, Why were you in someone's house? Why's a Hero clinging to you so tightly!?
"I'm sorry! Please! Please forgive me!" His voice broke, crying, sobbing even.
"Erm... there, there?" You say confused patting his back. He pulls away taking his mask off. "Huh!? Noah!?" You were so shocked you didn't react when he cupped your face. "I will never let anything happen to you... Never again."
(The healer in the corner is just like đ)
⨠Yandere Hero who does an exclusive interview for you! He is was closer with you, just so his voice picks up on the mic! (Lair)
⨠Yandere Hero who knocked at your window after a brutal patrol night.
"Sorry... erm can I crash at yours, please?" And how could you say no to that?
⨠Yandere Hero who's muscle are covered in scars. You see them peaking out from his t-shirts, around his collar bones , his biceps and even his abs when his shirt riled up. It made you worry for him but he just chucked and called you silly.
"It's my job remember? It's all worth it for you."
⨠Yandere Hero who was so jealous when you interviewed another hero. You don't even their identity! Unbelievable! Totally unbelievable! (Definitely didn't work harder to outrank them out of spite)
⨠Yandere Hero who comes over to your apartment to dress you in his merch. He was just playing! It's what friends do! (Definitely doesn't just like seeing you in his brand, his name, him)
"You look like a mega fan, haha!"
"Shut up super boy!"
"Try me reporter ,please please please do..."

Grouse
Pettily grumble, good your admitting it but I think you got that term from Yatzee

Don't even fucking get me started
Look be as into a PokĂŠmon as you want just and make a comic of them wanting a romantic relationship with you if you want, just don't pretend it's anything else

Also:

I don't know much about this besides you making the Sith, ya know the space wizards that shoot lightening from their fingers at people they disagree with and seek power endlessly, instead as... well, all the above, but they conveniently agreed with all the things you do, Lily.

Someone
If only there was a convienient place for all the allegations where they've been organized, a documentary of sorts

Weird insuler relationship that is easily construed as incestuous. It is about a person with severe issues never getting the help to manage them and be their own person because their overbearing sister (WhOs a DoCtOr) fights the state for it... it's like if the parents trying to get the trans person kicked off a sports team were the good guys of a story, instead of vacuous fools, they are in real life
See above
yo same, just replace become her own person with "overcome any challenge at all ever"
The thing Lily wrote at 17
But ya know even if you wrote that as a dumb seventeen year old as you claim, and THAT is in the past;
You still DARVO'D your siblings story the MOMENT the video came to light, and you always always want to paint being overly dependent in sibling relationships as positive & tried to tell people enmeshment a term that has NEVER been used positively, was fine and good, ya goddamn creep

this is an interesting concept but i'm going to disagree.
madara doesn't really talk about izuna ever, he keeps that to himself. madara kinda justâŚ. doesn't tell people stuff. he didn't even tell obito he had more than one sibling.
moreover, i don't think madara really thought extremely highly of izuna's abilities - not bc he thought izuna was a weakling or something but bc his view of strength/genius is pretty much based around hashirama, and anyone who can't measure up to that had to do serious damage to him to even really register as an opponent at all. and izuna could have only ever really been his ideological opponent, and since madara took the side of izuna and his clan when it came to peace, that never played out.
almost all information we have about izuna at all comes from people who aren't madara, all of whom gave that information to the audience for the sole purpose of manipulating another character (almost exclusively sasuke) - that is, itachi, obito, and hashirama. we have no idea where itachi got all of his info from, presumably a mix of obito and whatever was accessible to him in the clan, but we know a good chunk of it was bs from the beginning, and itachi is both a known liar and also frequently just wrong about shit. obito actually got his knowledge straight from the source, but we don't know how much of what he was told was the truth, we don't know how much of what he told sasuke was what madara told him, and the only thing we really do know is that a good chunk of it was straight-up not true at all.
our final source is hashirama, who's probably the most reliable source regardless of his own agenda in his storytelling bc most of what he tells us about izuna is from having actually met the guy, but even then he's more focused on how izuna's existence affects madara, and all we really get from him is that izuna was actually killed by tobirama, it was izuna and the uchiha clan rather than madara himself who opposed peace (possibly also the senju clan; hashirama didn't really seem all that interested in what his clan thought about it lol), and presumably gave his eyes to madara willingly (which isn't nothing, especially since it kind of renders both itachi and obito's accounts of izuna devoid of much actual info on izuna himself).
what we know from madara is that he views izuna's eyes as the last remnant of izuna that still exists, and that he's willing to use those eyes to achieve his own ends in ways izuna likely wouldn't have been ok with (tell me he would've been down with his own uchiha eyeballs in an uzumaki's skull. look at me and tell me that. it's bs). what he told hashirama about izuna when they were kids was pretty much just "i have one brother left and i will protect him no matter what", which.... doesn't really speak to madara viewing izuna as a brilliant genius who could take care of himself (tho again this is in large part due to madara being so stupidly strong that most people are basically just not really going to register to him as threats).
in my eyes, madara's hurt over the clan's rejection of him was more due to how said rejection reinforced the deep-seated trust issues he's had since childhood (madara's relationship with trust is weird as hell, but i'm pretty comfortable saying he honestly didn't trust izuna all that much. not in a way where he thought izuna was going to betray him or the clan, but in the sense of not really thinking he could rely on him to support him, which. he couldn't).
madara is a character whose struggles with communication are readily apparent, but while i think he does resent his clan to some degree over their turning away from him, he's also aware that it's in part his own fault (tho i think his reasoning as to why is incorrect, or at best deeply flawed).
none of this is to say that madara didn't love izuna, bc of course he did, or that he wasn't proud of him (i assume he was, tho it's hard to be sure), but.... i really don't think there's anything in the manga that supports this theory; most of what i recall (can't get up to check rn bc most of my volumes are at home and also my cat is sitting on me) actively contradicts it.

#naruto#naruto shippuden#meta#uchiha madara#uchiha izuna#ngl i feel like this is a take you can only get if you decide that madara was a good brother (he probably was)#and then assign him a Designated Good Relationship Trait (i.e. bragging about someone you care for)#but it really doesn't work here imo that's just not how madara operates#like this is the man who saw gai open the seventh gate and said it was insulting bc he didn't go right to the eighth. which would kill him#this is the man who dismissed tsunade as both a shinobi and a mednin until she punched through his susanoo and regenerated her stab wound#this is the man who sat down in the middle of a battlefield bc hashirama sent a clone to fight him instead of his real body#this is not a man with reasonable expectations of strength from his opponents#also again madara straight-up does not tell people shit. he's the embodiment of that ''fuck you for coming to my ted talk'' post#it's possible izuna bragged about him i guess but we really don't see enough of izuna to know for sure#also all we know for sure about the uchiha clan's feelings towards madara post-founding is that madara thought they didn't trust him#and tobirama claimed the same#we never actually see any non-madara uchiha say anything on the matter. even izuna and tajima don't say very much in hashirama's flashback#there's enough evidence to suggest madara was correct in his assessment but it's still possible he wasn't (i think he was personally tho)#but yeah. tldr interesting theory i don't agree and here's why
