So about the Battle Subway Trains
Hi, I love trains! And the Trains in Unova have a surprising amount of detail? And nobody talks about it? And if I don't talk about it I will explode!?!!!
So despite Unova being inspired by New York you'd think the Battle Subway Trains would be based on The New York Subway Trains? However they look like they are more based on Japanese Railway Trains!
I'd like to preface before going into this that despite talking a lot about the Japanese Railway, I am not Japanese, while I did my best to research as best I can, some stuff may fly over my head, I also used an online translator for some information so it might not be 100% accurate.
Alrighty lets get into this! This is mainly for fun and its going to be under the Read More because it is verrrrrrrrry long, I hope that you enjoy!
If you aren't aware, each train in the Battle Subway has lore! All the lore comes from this Worker NPC on the bridge in Anville Town. Depending on the day, a different train will show up on the turntable, and he'll give you a little dialogue for that train! This dialogue is what I'll be mainly analyzing :]
Single and Anville Town Trains:
"This is a Single Train! It's the oldest train in the Battle Subway. It's for a loop line to go around the Unova region! Do you know Tubeline Bridge? The train that runs on it is this Single Train."
"As you know, this is a local train to Anville Town! Isn't it just so cute? This one is a little slow and heavy. When it runs, the whole train sways. The train car is the same model as a Single Train. Because it is an old train car, I hear the maintenance is hard, but it's the one I always ride, because I loved it as a kid!"
So! The Single and Anville Town Trains are the same model of train, you can actually see this in their designs where they both share the same face but they differ in the livery. (Livery is a term referring to the train's decor/color, the color is often associated with a particular company or in this case a particular train line.) I'm going to use this fact to assume that if one train has one feature, then it's likely that the other train also has that same feature. Such as how the description of the Anville Town Train says it sways as it runs, if that is the case then the Single Train also probably sways. (which sounds kind of awful to battle on, unless you have good train legs I suppose X_X)
It is stated that the Single Train is the oldest in the Battle Subway. I believe though, that it means the oldest train that is currently running in the Battle Subway. As there is another train that seems much older and no longer running, but I'll get to that train much much later.
Older trains are indeed harder to maintain, and expensive too. This is because the older the equipment, the harder it is to get its parts as they become more obsolete. Though I will say this, trains can last a long time! The average service life of a train is about 30-50 years, it really varies from train to train. These trains would most likely be on the older side.
There is a slight possibility that it has been continued to be maintained past it service life. Given how fond the Worker NPC talks about the train, it might have high sentimental value. Therefore if it is past its service life, it has not been scrapped or recycled yet because of it. I doubt this is the case though, usually it is never worth the maintenance cost (especially for regular operation.)
Like the description says, you can see the Single Train running on the Tubeline Bridge, here's a video of it! Apologies for the way I am recording this, I don't exactly have a capture card, but I wanted to show you guys regardless
You can see how fast the train is going as it passes below you! At least the just Singles Train anyways, seems to me like it's going about 20-30mph? I tried doing math to find the exact speed but that's difficult for several reasons (no idea how large a "tile" in Pokemon really is and objects in the overworld are not very accurate in size so I can't exactly do any comparisons. The perspective of the camera also makes it tricky.) Given how the Anville Train is described as "slow and heavy", I would hazard a guess to say that the other trains of the Battle Subway may run faster than this.
You can also see that each train is made up of 7 cars as it passes below you if you slow down the footage. Which is not surprising, you have to win 7 battles in a row to complete a "set" where you are then dropped off at a rest stop. I believe the Battle Subway trains to be electrical multiple units (EMUs) so it would probably make them 7-car sets.
It also looks like the Singles Line is very busy with the trains only being seconds apart! Now I know this is more a visual thing so the environment would be interesting to look at, but I'd like to think it indicates that the Battle Subway/Singles Line is very popular! (and very well organized!)
As for Real life train inspirations I think perhaps the Tobu 10030 series?
The Tobu 10030 is a version of the Tobu 10000 series with some minor changes, such as the design of the face and using a bolsterless bogie. (Bogie is a part of the train that refers to a frame that holds sets of wheels as well as the suspension, breaks, etc. in which the body of the train car rests upon.)(A bolster is a part that connects the side frames of the bogie and the underside of the car's central pivot point.)(A bolsterless bogie is a bogie type that doesn't have a bolster). The front of the train is covered in fiber reinforced plastic and the outer panels are "bead molded" (which... I have no clue what that means...) This series has been going under renovations since 2010.
Double Train:
"This car is a Double Train! This is a mass-produced car from a decade ago! Compared to a Single Train, the number of parts was reduced so it could be built for a lower cost. The number of parts influences the budget and construction time. The streamlined and beautiful design of the Double Train is still valued today."
So the Double Train is at least 10 years old! (That's what decade means!) Honestly though, I think the Double Train might be older than 10, in Japanese the description just says that it is a "mass-produced train from a long time ago" and doesn't mention a number... Another reason is that in the Multi Train description, it mentions that it is a test model for future trains that will replace the Double Trains. Which means perhaps that the Double Trains may be reaching near the end of its service life, which again average 30-50 years. It could be a possibility that this train may have a shorter service life than usual, who knows. This all speculation really.
As for lowering the amount of parts, from what I found it makes the train lighter. It would also probably lower the cost as well like the description says (trains are really really expensive to build! EMUs can cost $2mil-$10mil per car!)
It also mentions that it is a mass-produced car! It's a train made with mass production for commercial purposes! I believe it's usually for train lines that are really busy, where they would need a lot of trains? It typically means that there are a lot of them. (All this makes me wonder about train production in the Pokemon World...)
As for Real life inspirations, I think that the Double Train is inspired by the Tokyu 1000 series train.
The Tokyu 1000's design and equipment is similar to another train, the Tokyu 9000 series, with improvements such as improved handling and making it easier to do inspection and repair work. As well as reducing the amount of spare parts from the Tokyu 9000.
Multi Train:
"This car is a Multi Train! Few cars of this model were produced. This is a test car to develop future mass-produced cars that will replace the old Double Trains. The technology born during the creation of this train car made the Super Single Train and Super Double Train possible!"
The multi train is a test/prototype train! A little surprised that an entire line is running off a few prototypes. Like the description says, not many are produced as the purpose of a prototype is to test features and improve upon them if needed before they are put into mass production. Given that it says the technology from this train was the reason the Super Single and Super Double Train was made possible. I'm thinking it was most likely testing some eco friendly features? As it is the Super Single and Super Double Train's main feature.
Perhaps them using a model with so few trains means that the Multi line isn't that busy/popular? (Surprising then the train platform is not swarming with more train photographers haha!)
As for real life inspirations, while the livery may not be the same I think it could be the Keisei 3000 (2nd Generation.)
The Keisei 3000's body is made of lightweight stainless steel and the passenger doors have a paper honeycomb structure. When they were designing this train, they wanted it to be both environmentally (energy saving) and customer friendly (being accessible to elderly and those with disabilities.)
Super Single and Super Double Trains:
"This Super Single Train is a new mass-produced car! It's an environmentally friendly train, because they revised all the parts to drastically reduce power consumption! Newer trains have to be built in a way that's both functional and environmentally friendly. Compared to the past, they've improved significantly."
"This Super Double Train is a new mass-produced car! Such a streamlined and refined design! Beauty and utility working together! That kind of beautility is unique to mass-produced train cars! It uses the same train car as a Super Single Train. The only difference is the appearance. It is a superb train car that will go down in the history of the Battle Subway!"
The Super Single and Super Double Trains are the same model. Honestly the description of these trains doesn't give me a lot of information besides the fact that these trains are eco friendly. So I'll talk about what trains do to make themselves (even more) eco friendly!
They are stated to be eco friendly by reducing power consumption. I think it could be referring to a "VVVF inverter control" (it stands for variable voltage variable frequency. In English its mainly called the VFD or variable frequency drive.) A VVVF is a type of system for an AC motor that can reduce energy consumption! (There are two types of electrical current, DC or Direct Current and AC or Alternate Current. An AC motor is a motor that is driven by AC electricity.) It is important on energy saving trains! I won't get too much into how it works, but essentially it controls the AC motor's rotational speed by controlling the frequency. By controlling these, it can control the speed and acceleration of a train. You'll find that a VVVF is often paired with a three phase motor (I will not go into that...) Let's just say that these systems are very efficient at using power and help save energy.
Really, reducing power consumption usually means being more efficient at using power. Like using LEDs, using better insulation to retain cooling or heating, and generally using parts that use less electricity. It could be that the train is lighter in weight too (lighter vehicles use less power.)
Both of these Super Trains are mass produced! Which tells me that there are a lot of Super Single and Super Double trains! Its lines are probably busy.
As for real life inspirations, it is very much inspired by the E233-2000 series train
The E233-2000 is a little bit of an oddball in the E233 family exterior design wise. Its design was inspired by the Tokyu 5000 series. Its basic running equipment is the same as the E233 trains before it though.
I think it is a bit of a stretch, but I'll mention it anyways. The E233 (which the E233-2000 is a subsection of) is a train that has won the Laurel Award in 2007. The Laurel Award is an award given to trains by the Japan Railway Friends Association for trains with an excellence in technology and design (specifically geared towards commuter trains.) It could be what all the "beautility" comments could be referencing to? They do look verrry different though, and the E233-2000 came after the award was given...
Super Multi Train:
"This train car is a Super Multi Train! This is the latest train car! Improved acceleration and deceleration! Automated train-car controls! It's full of cutting-edge technologies. Also, a regeneration brake system, a car-body tilting system, a whatchamacallit system, a thingamabob system... I don't remember all the details, but it's just a big festival of all the latest technology!"
Ohhoho! The Super Multi Train description is a goldmine of details! This train is the whole reason I wanted to make this post! Let's run through its features!
Improved acceleration and deceleration means that it can run between stops faster, allowing for quicker operation time.
Automated train-car controls or ATC is a safety system on trains that prevents trains from going over a certain speed! If the train goes over the maximum speed permitted then the ATC will pull the brakes automatically to reduce the speed and release the brakes when it is below maximum speed. It also displays the maximum speed to the driver. It is an incredibly important safety system!! From what I understand, the term ATC is very common in Japan, in other countries the ATC would simply be a part of cab signaling (it is a safety system mainly for the driver and train crew, it tells them track status and condition information) and train protection technologies. ATC is installed on all Shinkansen trains, it is also installed in some subways and heavily used railways.
Here's an example of what it looks like! The green triangle there is the (current) maximum speed. There are a lot of different types of ATC systems and this ones a D-ATC (stands for Digital Automatic Train Control) from within an E233! There are a whole lot of different types of ATC, and they can come in many looks! I would show more examples, however, I have hit the image limit on this post... :[
A regenerative brake system is a special type of breaking that allows a train to generate electricity via breaking! The electricity can either be used immediately, stored, or returned back into the line. You might've heard this feature on electric or hybrid cars. It is a common eco friendly feature!
A car-body tilting system is a feature in trains that allows the body of the train car to tilt into a curve! It allows the train to go faster on a track (not needing to slow down on a curve) but the feature is mainly for passenger comfort! When you ride, you don't feel the centrifugal force at all when going around a curve! And it makes the ride so smooth! Here's a short video demonstrating what it looks like:
youtube
There are essentially two major ways to do a car body tilting system. There is active tilting (forced body tilting) or passive tilting (pendulum system). A forced body tilting system uses computers to tilt the train using track data or sensors, telling the train when and how much to tilt. If the calculation is not done correctly, it can leave passengers with motion sickness (An infamous example is the Advanced Passenger Train in the UK). The tilting itself I believe is done via hydraulics. Forced Body Tilting is more popular in European and American trains.
As for passive tilting, the train in the video uses it! (A controlled pendulum train!) It means it uses natural forces to tilt the train car. I'll dive deeper into this type of tilting in the Wi-Fi train section because it actually mentions it's a pendulum train! As to which tilting type the Super Multi train has... it could honestly be either.
(Ah! I forgot to mention this, but tilting trains are especially useful in mountainous regions, where there are a lot of curves.)
In the Japanese version of the Super Multi description, it also mentions that it has a "earthquake warning system" and a "tornado monitoring system".
An earthquake warning system is not something fully installed into the train, rather it's mainly a set of sensors installed along the track, coast, and major inland areas. For passenger rail, if any signs of an earthquake are detected, it will alert any trains in the affected area and drivers are required to apply their emergency brakes. For shinkansen trains it will cut off power to the affected area which will automatically activate the emergency brakes.
Well, I found something close to a tornado warning system. There is a "gust warning system" where sensors measure wind speed and to predict where strong gusts of wind would go. Again, it's not a system that is installed within the train. From what I could tell, they would restrict travel speed during strong winds. If wind speeds are too high, then they would shut down the lines. (I suppose would be very useful, especially when there's some legendaries that cause powerful storms roaming around.)
In the Japanese version of the text, it also states that the Super Multi Train is also a test train. Which again means there's also not a lot of this train. It also states that some of it's features are unnecessary due to it being a test train lol
In the description all these features are stated as "cutting edge" and "a festival of all the latest technology" when these features are not all that new? And Regenerative breaking seems to be pretty common? (Every irl train I have shown thus far all have it.) Eh, I don't think it's that big of a deal. They are just fictional trains after all.
I originally thought the train looked like an Eizan Railway Deo 800 series, but thanks to the leaks, it looks like that the JR East 205-500 was used as a base to design the Super Multi Train? With probably heavy modification to the final design. (While I don't condone the method that these leaks were obtained, curiosity did get the better of me. This is the only train that I ID-ed this way.)
This Train was exclusive to the Sagami Line, though it ended operation in 2022 and every one of these trains have been scrapped. The blue color I believe is an homage to the Sagami River that runs along the line. The Train used a semi automatic door system for its passenger doors. Which means that rather than the conductor opening and closing the doors, the passengers would press a button to open the door when the train has stopped.
Wi-Fi Train:
"This train car is a Wi-Fi Train! It is the fastest long-distance high-speed train in the Battle Subway! This is called a pendulum car. Its body tilts while going around curves, so it can run without slowing down! Faster! Farther! Our engineers' spirits are infused in it!"
A pendulum car is a very specific term!!! Like I mentioned in the Super Mutli Train section it is a type of car body tilting. There are multiple types of Pendulum systems, There is Natural Pendulum, Controlled Pendulum, Air Spring (also called Simple Pendulum), and Hybrid.
Natural Pendulum is just using the centrifugal force of when it goes around a curve to tilt the train. This type was known to cause motion sickness in riders because when it straightened out, the car would "lag" or wobble. Sometimes the force was not enough to tilt the train and this would also cause passenger discomfort. These issues were fixed later with a controlled pendulum, where there would be a degree of control to the tilting. Using mechanisms similar to forced body tilting, it would prevent wobble and ease the tilt. The air spring method, as suggests in the name, uses air springs to help with tilting. It is similar to the controlled pendulum, though it tilts less than it (controlled pendulum can tilt 6 degrees and air springs can only tilt 2 degrees). Air springs are cheaper to build though and still are able to make the train go faster. Hybrid is the combination of controlled pendulum and air springs, allowing for an 8 degree tilt.
I hope the Wi-Fi train is not a natural pendulum? You're telling me you have to battle on that and you might get motion sickness?? Though it sounds like it might be more high tech so it is most likely the other types... Hopefully...
It also states that this train is the "fastest long-distance high-speed train in the Battle Subway!" Looking at Japan's tilting trains (that are not shinkansen), they go about 120kmh-130kmh (about 75 mph-81 mph.) So it could be a possibility that the Wi-Fi goes something along those speeds.
I've looked through Japan's tilting trains, and the closest one might be the JR Hokkaido Kiha 201 series? It's not at all close though... I can't really find a good match tbh. I think the 113 series seems to be a bit more closer visually.
The one on the left is a Kansai livery and the right is a JR Shikoku livery. They are both the same train, JR Shikoku bought the 113 series from JR East to replace some aging trains and then modified it. Which is why they look a bit different. The modifications include strengthening the front of the train and adding shock absorbing material inside.
So Those are all the trains that run in the Battle Subway! However there are 2 trains that don't, instead they only show up in Anville Town on certain days. I'll be calling them "Old Train Car" and "Futuristic Train Car"
"Old Train Car"
"This train car is the kind that ran a long time ago. Compared to contemporary train cars, it has more parts, so I heard it was difficult to build. The old train cars built with lots of small parts have their own unique beauty and attract a lot of fans. Those cars no longer run in the Battle Subway, but I hear they're still used in a faraway region. Ah... I'd love to be on that train!"
So this sort of car used to run on the Battle Subway. It's said to be still running in another region, though with how old the train looks I can only think that maybe it would be running by railway preservationists.
The design of this train reminds me a lot of old Japanese electric trains and trams. Especially trams with that double roof. I don't think it's really based on any particular vehicle? Here's a couple that I found;
The only one I feel like is worth mentioning is the Jomo Electric Railway Deha 101 (this specific car is the Deha 101, others of its kind are called Deha 100 type) and the Nagasaki Electric Railway 160 type. Both of these vehicles I believe are still running to some capacity.
The Jomo Deha 101 has been running for over 90 years. While car 101 still resides at Jomo Railway, other Deha 100s have been transferred to other private companies where they have been scrapped. I believe the only existing Deha 100s today are Car 101 and Car 104 (which has been painted bright yellow.)
The Nagasaki Electric Railway 160 type used to belong to the Kyushu Electric Tramway where it was called the Type 1 Electric Tram. When it was transferred to the Nagasaki Electric Railway it was renamed into the 160 type. Today, there is a single car in operation. I believe it is the oldest wooden car in Japan that is still in service.
I suppose I will also mention the Keifuku Electric Railway Mobo 21 Type Train, it does look the most similar. Though, it's purposefully designed to look like an old style tram.
"Futuristic Train Car"
"This train car is a new train to run in the future! Wooo! Cool! Super cool! The latest motor breathes fire! Uh-oh, if it really breathed fire, that would be bad! But it is full of the latest technologies! It's undergoing a lot of testing. It's called a gauge-convertible train. It's a sweet car that can adjust its wheels to run on any rail!"
So first off, I'd like to say that this train visually kind of looks like a "Sonic" 883 series (nothing to do with the blue hedgehog, it was just a coincidence lol)
However the description!!!! A "gauge convertible train" that is undergoing a lot of testing... That description matches exactly with the GCT! (literally standing for Gauge Change/Convertible Train, though in Japanese it's called FGT or Free Gauge Train!)
The GTC is the project name for this experimental shinkansen. The one in the picture is the GTC-01, the second generation of its kind (as this is the version they would be testing before and during the development of the game, there is now a 3rd generation.) So, the term gauge refers to the distance between the two rails. Different trains run on different gauges, they can come in either narrow gauge, standard gauge, or wide gauge. Japan's rail network is mostly narrow gauge (specifically Cape Gauge.) The main exception are the shinkansen trains, which run on standard gauge. This shinkansen like the description says would be able to run on any gauge. It used to be under a lot of testing by the Free Gauge Train Technology Research Association. Today though, the GTC-01 second generation sits on display in the Shikoku Railway Heritage Museum.
There are a lot of challenges that the GTC faces. It takes a bit of time for the wheels to adjust to the gauge and you need to go slower when it's doing so. It has increased maintenance costs. The heavier specialized bogie creates more wear on the rails as well as making the train harder to detect. (Ok! Basic explanation for Railway Signaling! Tracks are split up into sections called "blocks", and a small electrical current is run between the two tracks that makes up the block. When a train runs through, the wheel and axle of the train disrupts the current, which then the system detects that block as being occupied by a train. If it is occupied, the signal lights at the end of the block will be turned red, preventing other trains from entering the same block, thus preventing collisions. The problem arises in the GTC in that the wheel and the axle are separate, thus something about this is making it hard to detect on the rail.)
With this train being a "gauge change train" it really made me wonder what gauge the Battle Subway trains runs at? I thought maybe standard gauge or maybe even wide gauge because you can only make the train so wide depending on the gauge. And you'd probably want it wider so that there is more room, especially if you are fitting a battle arena in it! However in Japanese the description mentions that "The rails are a little wider on the tracks that run at higher speeds." Which is... exactly how Japanese rail works? So the Battle Subway lines are probably narrow gauge?
Another thing that's interesting about the "Futuristic Train" is the date that it actually shows up. In Anville Town the way that each train shows up is dependent on the last digit of the day of the month, like so:
0- (10th, 20th, and 30th) "Old Train Car"
1- (1st, 11th, 21st, and 31st) Single Train Car
2- (2nd, 12th, and 22nd) Double Train Car
3- (3rd, 13th, and 23rd) Multi Train Car
yada yada you get the point (4- Super Double Train, 5- Super Single Train, 6- Super Multi Train, 7- Anville Town Train, 8- Nothing, 9- Wi-Fi Train)
The only exception is the "Futuristic Train" who will show up ONLY on February 1st, June 12th, October 1st, October 14th, and December 30th, pretty random huh? haha of course not! These dates are dates significant to the History of Japanese Railway/Transportation!
February 1st: The opening of Japan's first electric street car in 1895!
June 12th: The temporary operation of Japan's first passenger railway in 1872!
October 1st: The release of Japan's first Shinkansen, the series 0 in 1964!
October 14th: The official opening of Japan's first passenger railway in 1872, with the first two stations between Shimbashi and Yokohama! This day is also Railway Day in Japan, celebrating this event, Tokyo holds a Railway Festival and train companies like to do events on this day as well!
December 30th: The opening of Japan's first subway line in 1927, The Ginza Line!
Rails, Station Platform, and More Train:
So the Station, there are a few details I can pick up on here!
The type of track that the trains run on (at least in the station) are ballastless tracks! It means the rail is tied directly onto a slab of concrete rather than having ballast hold it up (ballast is that rocky gravel that you often see beneath the tracks.) This type of track is quite expensive to build and makes the place a lot nosier, but it has a lot of advantages! For one, because there is no ballast to maintain, it has lower maintenance cost (ballast must be packed every now and again using a ballast tamping machine. Which lifts the track and jostles the ballast beneath it. Ballast also needs to be replaced after a while because the rocks have to be irregularly shaped for it to work, and natural weathering can make them smooth out.) It is also easier to clean and has a longer lifespan. Because the rail is tied to slabs of concrete the rails are less prone to deformation, which is good! Though it is also that same inflexibility means that it is difficult to change anything about it and takes longer to repair.
Their buffer! (that little black thing at the end of the line, I think it is a buffer?) It doesn't look like that effective of a buffer... The purpose of a buffer is to stop a train if brakes fail. Though this thing seems to be more for the driver telling them where the end is, hence all the, what I presume are, lights. Let's hope they have some sort of other safety system in place.
There doesn't seem to be a third rail. I have a feeling that might be because most Japanese railway trains are powered via overhead wire (literally every irl train I have shown is powered this way.) Maybe the Battle Subway trains might be powered via overhead wire? I might be over analyzing here, they might not have thought of modeling such a small detail haha
The train itself has some sort of device on top (that box thing.) I believe it to be some sort of air conditioning unit. Given how each train car has one large unit on top of it, I believe that it uses a centralized cooling system, which means there is one large air conditioning unit. (There are 2 other types, they are distributed cooling which consists of 6-8 small units and centralized distributed which consists of a couple of medium sized units.) Central cooling systems are easier to install and maintain because there is only one unit to worry about.
Signboards:
The Buildings in between routes have a electronic news bulletin board, and depending on which city is connected to it, the news bulletin will give a little flavor text about the city. There's some flavor text about the Battle Subway when it's about Nimbasa City, and it different depending on whether you are playing the first one or the second one, here they are:
BW
"Run and battle! Trains never stop!” Battle Subway in Nimbasa City"
"They say someone who loved battles also happened to be a railway maniac, and thats why we now have the battle subway"
So, this might be a coincidence, but there is an old name that Japanese Train Fans used to call themselves. The name was "Railway Mania" (鉄道マニア direct translation). It was used up until the 1950s. Today it's seen as a derogatory term but it was used very commonly back in its heyday (even more popular than "railfan" apparently.) I think it is kind of interesting that the term "Railway Maniac" was chosen for this flavor text and I wonder if it has anything to do with this old name. However, I say it might just be a coincidence because the term "Maniac" is not unheard of word in Pokemon (Item Maniac, Poke Maniac, Hex Maniac, etc.) But regardless, there's that little fun fact for you!
B2W2
“Get on a train and fight!” Battle Subway in Nimbasa City"
"The energy generated by heated Pokémon battles is the fuel that keeps the Battle Subway running"
I'm going to get a little headcanon-y here. We can interpret this figuratively, as in if there are no battles then its not really a Battle Subway is it? But I think it would be fun to interpret it literally! What if Pokemon Moves could get absorbed somehow to power the Train? And if the Train doesn't need it it could go into the line to power something else in the Subway! I think that would be cool :]
Extra Stuff:
●I think the Battle Subway Map could also be inspired by JR East's rail map, the main reason is the single lines (dark green) which goes in a loop around the Unova Region...
Reminds me of the Yamanote Line (light green) which also goes in a loop connecting a variety of major stations together in Tokyo and is a very very important line!
●While I do believe Gear Station is inspired by New York's Grand Central Station, I do think there's a lot of design elements taken from Tokyo Station as well
●The gray bodies of the Anville, Single, Doubles, and Multi cars are probably meant to represent an exposed steel/aluminum body rather than the ones painted white like the Super Trains.
●In the Anime, the trains are said to have an ATO system, this is also a real system, it stands for Automatic Train Operation. It's a system that allows a computer to control when the train stops and goes with no driver involved! I don't think that the trains in the games run on an ATO system though, as there are Depot Agents who talk about train driving (Depot Agent Cameron who says "I’m good at driving, but I’m not good at dealing with Pokemon." at the start of battle, and a way more obscure Depot Agent whom you can talk to on the platform after 14 wins on a Super Train who says "I’d rather have an exciting battle than slowly drive the train.")
●In the Anime, there's a stamp rally, which is a real thing! There are station stamps in Japan which tourists can collect. Though, occasionally Pokemon will collaborate with JR East to create a Pokemon Stamp Rally! The most recent is this Pokemon Horizons Stamp Rally promoting the show! Here's a map of what stamps you can collect at each station and the prizes you can get!
●In the Nacrane city library there is a book that mentions that Nacrane used to have steam locomotives running through it!
"This book is about the things you can ride in the Unova region, such as Castelia City’s cruise ship and Mistralton City’s planes. Before there were planes, locomotives carried people all over Unova. The railway in Nacrene City is a legacy of those lines." (B2W2)
What kinds of Steam Locomotives? I suppose we will never know, as we never see one in game.
●There's an Roughneck NPC you can talk to at Tubeline Bridge in B2W2 where he says
"Watch it! People use “railway fan” as a catchall term, but there are many types of railway fans! There are riding fans, detraining fans, station fans, train-car fans, schedule-table fans, picture-taking fans, recording fans, and more! Don’t go thinking they’re all the same!" (B2W2)
So in Japanese, Railway is Tesudo (鉄道, testu 鉄- Iron and do 道-Road) and a Railway Fan is Tesudofan, however fans will abbreviate to just Testu and stick what aspect of trains they enjoy with it, so like 乗り鉄 (Nori 乗り-Ride, 鉄-tetsu) as a Train Riding Fan, or 撮り鉄 (Tori 撮り-Taking a Picture, 鉄-tetsu) as a Railway Photography fan. There are a lot of these and the NPC does go over some! There's also Railway Modeling Fans (Fans who collect model trains and/or construct model railways), Collecting Fans (Fans who collect railway related items such as tickets or stamps), Operation Fans (Fans who like researching railway operation and equipment), Regulation Fans (Fans who like researching railway handbooks and laws and regulations that go into a railway), Simulation Fans (Fans who like playing train driving/railway management games), Artists/Writers, Urban Explorers, and Railway Preservationist (I gave up on the last ones lol). There are lots of ways to enjoy trains!
There's also the super specific terms of "Mama Tetsu" where a mother becomes a railway fan because of their children's interest or "Oyako Tetsu" where a child becomes interested in trains because of their parents.
●The badge on Ingo and Emmet's hats probably represents the logo for the railway company that they work for, while researching about Japanese Railway Companies, I noticed that they have a lot of circular logos, here's a handful:
From what I could gather, these types of black and white circular logos are called a mon, kind of like a crest? If you wish to scroll about the logos, here is the link for the Wikimedia commons list.
The company's logo is also what's usually depicted on irl conductor's hats anyways, in the exact same place too.
(I was looking for a screenshot to showcase the hat to put here, but instead I found this promotional video! It's actually pretty good at going over the basics of what a driver and conductor actually do! Please feel free to check it out)
youtube
●The name "Depot Agent" is a little bit of a strange name, in Japanese the name is simply "Railway Worker", a depot is often referred to a train yard, however depot can also refer to a station, given where we see this trainer class working (at Gear Station), it is most likely that the depot in this case is referring to station, so they are station workers!
Final:
After all this I have come to the conclusion that somebody at Gamefreak really liked trains! And I really think all the little details are so awesome! and it really cements the Battle Subway as my favorite battle facility!
Anyways I hope you learned a thing or two and I hope you gained a new appreciation for trains and the Battle Subway! Thanks for Reading! ✌
(If I got anything wrong, please feel free to correct me, there was a lot of information I had to sift through and I am NOT an engineer * _ * and if you have something to add please do! I would love to learn more! ^ ^
#post#long post#VERY LONG POST#THIS TOOK SO LONG TO WRITE I STARTED THIS IN AUGUST#I love trains too much. Its a sickness really...#submas#battle subway#pokemon#pokemon black and white#pokemon black 2 white 2

for the prompt thing: beach day with jee-yun
Such a cute prompt! Thank you!
Enjoy 🩶
As always you can send bucktommy prompts to my ask box at any time. I love writing them so have at it 😊
*************
"So what plans have you got for the day?" Maddie asked on the phone.
"Tommy and I are taking Christopher to the beach for the day. What about you?" He asked. Maddie grunted in response.
"Everything. I promised Jee's daycare I'd make 50 cupcakes for tomorrow. The house is a mess that I need to clean. And I have to find time to go to the bank and the lawyer."
"Lawyer? Is-is everything okay?"
"Oh, yeah. You wouldn't believe the amount of paperwork that comes with getting married. Doug wouldn't put my name on anything, so I had no idea. But with me and Howie combining everything equally, it means putting his name on my stuff and mine on his. Honestly, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the lawyer fees topped the cost of the wedding itself."
"Well, hey, why don't we take Jee with us? Give you some time and space to get everything done."
"Oh my god, really?!"
"Sure. I haven't seen her in at least 4 days, so I need some Jee time anyway."
"You are the best little brother in the world!"
***
"There's snacks in the bag, extra clothes. Her swimsuit is on under her clothes now. Oh, and don't forget sunscreen. Every hour and extra if she goes into the ocean." Buck swung Jees backpack over his shoulder and picked her up.
"You ready for a fun day at the beach?" He asked her.
"Yeah!" She nodded .
***
They had a blast at the beach. Tommy helped the kids dig a hole. Buck consoled Jee when the tide came in and filled it. They ate ice cream, and sandwiches that probably had sand in them, though nobody really noticed.
"What?" Buck asked noticing Tommy watching him.
"Its sweet - the way you're looking at them." He gestured to Jee-yun and Christopher playing a few metres in front of them. "You want that in the future? Kids, I mean?"
"Uh, yeah. Someday. What about you?" He asked. Tommy sighed and looked towards the kids.
"Honestly, I'd never really considered it. I guess I always thought I'd never find someone to have that chance with." He answered honestly.
"Thought? Past tense? You, uh.. you think differently now?" He asked tentatively. They were way too early on their relationship to think seriously about kids, or even marriage, but knowing where their intentions laid was a good thing.
"Now.. let's just say that there's more hope these days." He smiled softly at Buck.
***
The sun was starting its descent, allowing the sky to begin glowing in beautiful shades of pink and the temperature to begin lowering.
Tommy was helping the kids build a sand castle. Sand city was more accurate. If he wasn't a firefighter, he could definitely throw his hand at architecture, Buck thought.
He sat back on his chair just watching him. The way Tommy joyfully and enthusiastically played with the kids made Bucks' heart bubble over in his chest. He'd make a great dad.
"Letting Tommy do all the work I see?" Eddie's voice came from above. He looked behind to see both Eddie and Chim walking towards him, then sit down.
"They have a good day?" Chimney asked.
"Let's just say I think they'll both sleep tonight." He laughed.
Buck continued to watch Tommy fondly. He thought about how different his life was a year ago. Struck by lightning and having no idea where is life was going. Now he was sat on a beach, at the end of a beautiful day, staring at the man he was hopelessly and disgustingly in love with. Eddie and Chim both noticed how he was looking at Tommy.
"It's a bit early, don't ya think? Eddie told him.
"Huh?"
"To think about having kids with Tommy." He said
"I am not." Buck replied defensively, with a glint in his eye. "We've been together barely 6 months."
"Exactly." Chimney added. "So I hope you're both using protection."

More Ghostbusters headcanons yippee!
Some unorganized speaking headcanons (LISTEN I KNOW ITS STUPID BUT IVE HYPER ANALYZED THESE FUCKS AND I HAVE DECIDED ITS ALL YOUR PROBLEM TOO) This is specifically Real Ghostbusters because there is a difference.
Winston - The normal amount of swearing and slang tbh - Does have some sayings that are violently dad-coded - Lots of sports metaphors (Specifically baseball) and occasionally car metaphors - Generally uses more 60s and 70s slang as well as specifically stuff he picked up while in the Airforce during the Vietnam War
Ray - Talks like it's the 50s so much oh my god - Dude it's the late 80s chill out - Lots of references (depending on which ones, Peter is most likely to get them) - Technical jargon AND slang in the same sentence - Swears the least but definitely uses it (he's a grown ass man guys can we stop treating him like a 5yr old catholic school boy??) - Does use 80s slang too, but only the ones he really likes - Lots of mirroring of people around him so he's picked up sayings and slang words from the other guys and Janine ofc
Peter - Very pop culture oriented so speaks heavily in references but also slang - Also lots of queer slang since he's been in the underground club scenes for a hot minute - A strange amount of british slang and sayings that were in the punk scene that he picked up - Will use various shit as metaphors, really just whatever he knows will work - Probably the worst language of the bunch oh my god dude (Egon constantly gets onto him about expanding his vocabulary and Peter tells him that language is not an accurate representation of intelligence every time) - Lot of cowboy slang that he picked up from all the westerns he used to read, it's a problem - overall, its any guess as to where he picked up any one piece of slang and it only gets worse because he will use them all at once he does not care
Egon - constantly speaks in overcomplicated ways (i know this is canon let me cook) and will do it on purpose just to annoy Peter. It's also just for the sake of accuracy - He doesn't use a lot of slang but has his exceptions (building off the canon of using "nifty" when feeling "perky") - Doesn't typically devolve into swearing but will (canon to the movies technically but we're keeping it in this because i like that detail) - He was raised in a polite household and tries to keep that behavior, but that faltered pretty massively when he was in college (because of Peter obviously)
Janine - Just like Peter, she will make a sailor blush - Speaks with typical slang and wording she picked up from her various magazines and books she's read - Pop culture references as well but not as extreme - Not a fan of metaphors, just say what you need to say holy shit

i bought a DNA test - here is my assessment of the DNA (asteroid 55555) persona chart
23 & me + health is very comprehensive, so i am just going to touch on some of the topics i already predicted based on their test breakdown from their website. for privacy reasons i won't be talking about how much of any given ethnicity i have. the only "evidence based" screenshots i will be providing are from the traits section of the test.
paid reading options: astrology menu & cartomancy menu
enjoy my work? help me continue creating by tipping on ko-fi or paypal. your support keeps the magic alive!
ancestry
i know for sure that i am polish and slovakian so tesinsko (38674) 10h and sextile saturn makes sense. těšínsko is basically the dividing line czechoslovakia and poland. so to have that in my dna 10h status makes me believe it will be pretty prevalent in the test breakdown - 50% +. plus i have polonia (1112) conjunct moon and that is very true - i got it from my mom's side lol.
danmark (2117) in the 2h rx makes me feel like i am not as danish as my father told me i was nor... i am correct because i am not danish nor am i a descendant of the danes.
am i as german as he made it seem. 7h germania (241) is not as convincing plus the lack of aspects just makes it all the less convincing... also true because my descendants were from southwestern germany not so much the core of german territory.
italia (477), hispania (804), and copenhagen (13586) in the 4h. perhaps i will revoke my statement above about the danish ancestry, but we will see. i do believe italian and hispanic descent might be probable based on these placements. try sardinia.
i know i am welsh but i can't find an asteroid related to wales :(... fun story 23 & me couldn't detect welsh ancestry in me, BUT nearly all the locations for the "british & irish" section regarding where my ancestors were from were in wales so lol yes i am welsh though i don't feel that snowdonia in my 4h is a very solid indicator.
i did discover that i have irish ancestry - i have ireland (5029) square moon, it is my mother's side that has irish descent! my grandmother found paper work confirming that.
i also discovered russian ancestry - my grandmother told me a very interesting story about my ancestor alex who used to be alexei but escaped via moscow... i have moskva (787) trine moon. the shoe fits.
a majority of my lineage and the asteroids associated with aspect the moon and/or saturn in my dna persona chart. 23/41 asteroids do at least; that's about 50% which is pretty good considering that 23&me ALSO isn't 100% accurate - they don't nail down where your ancestors are from they give possible regions from which your ancestors were likely from.
that being said, i am not sure that dna persona should be used alone - i feel like it was helpful to confirm and nail down which regions from the options in the dna results are even more likely for ancestry.
i do think that the 4h, moon aspects, and/or saturn aspects to country/city asteroids in a dna persona chart tend to be most accurate for determining ancestry.
trait report
ability to match musical pitch: air venus at 17° - i am gonna say this comes back positive.
asparagus odor detection: mercury at 1° conjunct chiron; i definitely will have a heightened sense of smell.
bitter taste: capricorn mercury... get it? its a saturn ruled mercury? saturn can be bitterness? i don't know i thought it was funny...
earwax type: on the other hand... a saturn ruled mercury - soft wax (i'm of the mindset there are only two options hard or soft wax).
health
type 2 diabetes: it kind of looks like i can beat the odds... like venus square saturn - that's just genetic. BUT venus sextiles moon and pluto AND conjuncts uranus - these are all planets of change, so i feel like i can/will prevent diabetes. true because i have the typical likelihood for developing diabetes per the test.
brca: it's not looking too hot and i know my father's mother passed from breast cancer at a rather young age i think she passed at 40... my moon conjuncts pluto and is opposite jupiter. fortunately, it conjuncts chiron, so i might beat it or catch it early thanks to the test. a grey area in my eyes... of the 4000 variants of brca they only test 44 of them. they found 0 of the 44 though. so we will see 44 is like nothing though to be honest.
thrombophilia: it's a given... uranus square saturn - the blood flow is just not that good. i kind of knew this before going in - i have factor 5 leiden; they found 1 of 2 thrombophilia variants that they test for and it was that variant/mutation.
alzheimer's: mercury conjunct sun and chiron AND sextile mars makes me believe it's fine and i'm good - i will get the negative here. i tested positive for late onset alzheimer's... i mean i feel like it can sort of be challenged - i know i am fighting something out of denial of the possible, but i really don't like that they don't test particularly for the early onset variant. if i have one, why wouldn't i have the other? i think we all could understand why that developing early would be horrible...

Actually I've Been Wanting To Ask For This Prompt For Awhile, But You Seem So Busy With Others And My 50 Something Prompts, But Seeing Your Post...
Could You Do A ReaderxKillerxColor Date?
Hon in my mind we're basically besties from how often you're in my inbox ( @dreamseersystem made me tally how many I had from you and I had five in my inbox lol)
If anything this would probably continue off this little side timeline (side note: while I definitely like writing Nightmare as redeemable/necessary evil/"secretly good" because I project on the Dreamtale twins intensely, Nightmare does have to be a toxic bastard in this version of things)
"You ever been on a three way date?" Killer asked.
You looked up from your book. The pair of you were just hanging out quietly together. Color, ever more versed in terms, said it was called "parallel play" or something. "Uhh no? Why?"
"Cuz I wanna take you both out on a date!" He beamed at you. "I have a day off coming up where Nightmare promises he wont pull me away for anything! It'll be perfect to take my two favorite people out for some fun together!"
You were tempted to remind Killer of the many promises Nightmare had already broken, including this same exact promise. Several times. But he looked so excited, you couldn't bear to ruin that smile. "Sure, that sounds great. Just tell me when and how much to dress up for you guys."
It was about a week later when Killer came to pick you up. He told you not to dress up too fancy, but you still made sure you looked nice for them both. He took you back to Ccino's to meet up with Color and pick up some food he'd ordered before going to Outertale for a picnic date.
You liked getting food from Ccino's, you had a pretty accurate idea of how to bolus for it. Grillby's were pretty consistent across AUs (at least the "standard" ones were), it was really mostly just Muffett's that were hard to guess the right amount of insulin for. (Except your own, of course.)
Regardless, you liked Ccino's and so did Killer and Color so everyone was happy with the food. You all honestly had a lovely time in the quiet and privacy under the stars.
... At least, until Nightmare very predictably started calling Killer and insisted he come home immediately. Which of course upset Killer because "he promised!"
You squeezed his hand. "Hey, its fine. Why don't you come back to meet Color and I at my apartment whenever he's done with you and we can snuggle and watch movies together?"
He sighed. "Fine..."
You and Color looked at each other after he left.
"I knew this would happen," Color ranted. "Nightmare always does this!"
"I know. I did too."
"He needs to get away from Nightmare. He needs to leave. I know the Omega Timeline might not be the best place for him but maybe-"
"You can't force him to leave, Color. Well, technically you could, but it wouldn't help."
"I know, its just. Its frustrating."
"I know. All we can do right now is be here for him, and be safe for him."
And that's what the two of you did, to the best of your ability. You were both in your apartment, as you said you'd be, when Killer was finally done. He very firmly had a mask of "everything is fine" on, but you didn't say anything. You just let him pick a few movies and some snacks, and the three of you cuddled up under a ridiculous amount of pillows and blankets on your couch to just cuddle and relax together.
And if Killer's black goop looked runnier and tearier than usual, well then, he didn't complain about you hugging him a bit tighter and leaving some tissues conveniently within reach.

fantom's album review #1
I decided I'd go through NPR's The 150 Greatest Albums Made By Women.
Doing all 150 seemed a little too daunting, so I'm just doing the top 50. I'm going in order from 50 to 1, listening to all the albums from start to finish, rating them and writing my opinion.
I'm just doing this for fun, to learn more about the history of popular music and also listen to genres that I'm less familiar with.
All my ratings are based on my own personal tastes, so the following list is HIGHLY subjective.
50. Hole - Live Through This (1994)
7/10 I’ve never been much for 90s grunge. I was a little too young for its heyday (I was <10 when this album came out, hardly the intended audience) and later when I got into 90s music, grunge never really appealed to me. Still, I enjoyed this album, and I think a few of the songs on it will make it into my regular rotation.
49. Ricki Lee Jones - Pirates (1981)
2/10 Wow. I fucking hated this album. Her voice is okay, sometimes annoyingly breathy, and not nearly interesting enough to carry the meandering talk-singing she engages in nearly every song. Best thing I can say about this album is that it ends.
48. Etta James - Rocks the House (1964)
7/10 I don’t like live albums. That being said, this one is actually pretty good. It has a fun energy, with some great call and response with the audience. NPR's review said she “howled her way through” her songs, and that is accurate. Not something I usually enjoy, but aside from the howling, she has a very powerful and lovely voice, and even the howling started to grow on me by the end of the album.
47. Celia Cruz - Son con Guaguanco (1966)
10/10 No notes. I fucking loved this album. Es La Humanidad is my favorite song off of it. Stunning voice, great instrumentals, so fun to listen to.
46. Emmylou Harris - Wrecking Ball (1995)
6/10 A lot of the songs were really hit or miss for me. Largely, I really preferred the accompaniment. Wrecking Ball in particular stood out with this great lonely, yearning sound. Deeper Well is the best song on the album, if the rest had been like that, could have been a 9/10 easily. Orphan Girl was awful.
45. Dusty Springfield - Dusty in Memphis (1969)
5/10 Boring. The Windmills of Your Mind was alright.
44. Heart - Dreamboat Annie (1976)
9/10 Glad to find that Magic Man and Crazy on You are representative of the album rather than exceptions from it. Soul of the Sea is probably my favorite track. Lots of fun to listen to.
43. M.I.A. - Kala (2007)
2/10 I think I like Paper Planes as much as the next guy, but not enough to listen to a whole album of it. Absolutely chock full of the most annoying sound effects known to man. This one took me a long time to get through. When it was time for me to listen to music I kept thinking, “I don't want to ruin the pleasant vibe I have going by making myself listen to this.”
42. Ella Fitzgerald - Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Johnny Mercer Song Book (1964)
9/10 Hard to go wrong with Ella Fitzgerald. Name a song of hers that’s not an instant classic. I was surprised to see that this album was from the 60s when I started listening to it. Not the decade I associate with big band. I deduct one point because for me, all slow, soulful, romantic big band songs all kind of sound the same. I like the sound, but I like having some variety.
41. Tracy Chapman - Tracy Chapman (1988)
10/10 Came into the album only having heard of Fast Car. It lives up to the hype, and the rest of the album does not disappoint! Great sound, great lyrics, great social justice message. Talkin’ bout a Revolution is going to be the next song I listen to over and over again to wring every drop of serotonin I can get from it.
Final thoughts of albums 50-41
Favorite album from this group is Tracy Chapman's self titled album.
As for my least favorite, it's really hard to choose between MIA and Ricki Lee Jones. They were both so deeply awful to listen to.
What I'm looking forward to in albums 40-31:
Kate Bush and my childhood favorite, Tina Turner
What I'm dreading in the next ten:
Björk. I've been doing my best to listen to all the albums from start to finish even if I don't like it. Björk might break the streak.

Colleen Smith
Name: Colleen Smith
Gender: Female
Class: 1-1

Persona: Teacher’s Pet
Reputation:
Overall: +15
Liked: -10
Respected: +50
Fear: +5
Crush: None
Strength: Incapable
Likes: Justice, Gossip, Solitude, Photography, School
Dislikes: Violence, Socializing, Sport, Martial Arts, Anime
__
Colleen is actually one of the really old OCs I made back on my very first yansim account. I didn't do much with her, and I wasn't writing as much, so I never really found any time to write her in. Still, she was meant to be a detective esc character just to be another obstacle for Ayano.
Originally, I had no reason as to why she wanted so badly to find justice outside of "she's probably just a good person". Now, I have some sort of roundabout reason, and that's so that Akademi turns its facade of a good school into an actual good school. At first it was just so her father didn't pull her out of school, but as she continued solving problems and minor mysteries, she eventually starts realizing just how unfair treatment can get in Akademi, and that changed her reason into the "goodness of her own heart" I suppose.
__
(I'm adding this just in case some people can't read the text in the picture. I'll put this in front left-down to right-down.)
1. Due to how strict her father is, Colleen constantly has to lie to him about how great Akademi is so that he doesn't have a reason to pull her out. If she told her dad about the constant bullying (not even just to herself) and isolation, he'd likely force her to homeschool again, and wouldn't let her leave until she was able to provide for herself.
2. Colleen's original goal with dealing with injustices was just to make her claims about Ajademi being a good school more accurate and truthful, but eventually, she began to compare the injustices to her own life. This caused bullying and manipulation at Akademi feel more personal, and she found herself simply wanting to help her peers.
3. Colleen is notorious for being a weirdo. She doesn't get modern slang and usually rejects whatever is new to her, which also makes her "boring" by her peers' standards.
4. The reason why Colleen is so "weird" is because she grew up too sheltered. As she grew older she figured out that her living situation made her stupid to Social norms. So, she eventually was able to make her father let her go to school, and she got accepted by acing an entrance exam.
5. If any sort of foul play occurs in Akademi, she usually finds out who and why it happens in order to keep up Akademi's reputation, and ridding of trouble-makers helps with that.
(I wrote it in a separate order, so it no doubt sounds messier when put this way. I'll make sure to write it differently next time.)
Emile Cappella: To Colleen, Emile spontaneously decided to have a crush on her when she even lacked significantly in just friends. The more Emile attempts to get closer to her, the more skeptical and suspicious Colleen gets. Still, Colleen rationalized that if Emile wa sreally trying to manipulate her, then surely he'd eventually just give uoband leave her alone.
Beruma Dinkuri: Beruma is the least likely to give suspicious people the benefit of the doubt, which is something (along with her distaste for bullying) that Colleen respects about her. If asked, Colleen would likely be too scared to call Beruma her friend out of fear that Beruma won't agree. This is due to the Colleen not having many friends. Still, the two are great partners-in-crime(justice?) when it comes to exposing wrong-doers.
Shiromi Torayoshi: Despite Shiromi's status and relations, Colleen can't help but find her overwhelmingly suspicious. Colleen is one of the very few who has ever seen Shiromi doing suspicious and borderline illegal things, but was never able to get evidence of her doing these things. When Colleen went to Kuroko with her problem, the former nearly begged her not to say anything, ensuring her that Shiromi was being monitored and meant no harm.

This is such a wild season.
Omni-Man Vs. Bardock was a matchup people thought was gonna be balanced...at least more then Omni-Man Vs. Homelander, turns out it wasn't the case and its been one of the most controversal results so far.
Joker Vs. Giorno was a matchup everyone thought would result in all out war between the Persona and JJBA fandoms but yet when the results came out, both sides were more civil and chill then everyone expected. (Probably also helps that Persona 5 and Golden Wind have been out for ages now so a lot of the hype around them has died down.)
Bowser Vs. Eggman is the best argument that going indie doesn't mean a decrease in quality as its easily one of the best fights ever. Amazing all around and it manages to get better and better.
And now we have the most wtf matchup as we have Fall Guys vs. the Imposters. The game which had a flashpoint in during 2020 but then was ursuped by the other who stormed ahead.
No I don't know what's gonna happen next.
//Firstly, I actually didn’t mind Omni-Man Vs Bardock because I never had a problem with the scaling. Like, there WERE feats in there that didn’t make a lot of sense, sure, but I still thought the result was accurate. It is still my least favourite episode of 2024 though.
//Joker Vs Giorno’s fallout worried me not necessarily just because the Persona and JoJo fandoms are intense, but mostly because the fallout for the debut episode was pretty bad. For me personally, it was kind of like Gojo Vs Makima to me where the build up was so intense, and the episode itself ended up just being alright. I mean, it is I think within my top 15, but I had such high expectations for this matchup, and in the end, it was satisfactory.
//For Bowser Vs Eggman, I think I said this already, but I think MORO is either an alien or a god, because everything about the animation, as well as the rest of the episode, was spectacular. I think I can confidently say at this point, after rewatching it over the course of the last few days about 50 times, that it’s my favourite DB of all time. And no, that’s not because of recency bias, it’s because it’s just an absolute cinematic masterpiece.
//As for Fallmong Us…Among Guys? Regardless, while I’m not AGAINST this being a thing, because it’s really funny, AND I’m fond of both these games, truly, but my biggest problem is this isn’t a fight. It’s not ANYTHING. You get a packet of M&Ms and you took a packet of jellybeans you put them in the oven and you shake it, and that’s what this fight is. HOW in the HELL are these fucking loose brain cells supposed to kill each other?
//My legitimate prediction for this matchup is that it’ll be a stalemate, because the Fall Guys can’t kill, but they also can’t die.
//Genuinely though, the only prediction I’m going to make going forward is that Mahito Vs Shigaraki will be the 2025 debut. As for Among Guys fight, the hell if I know, lol.

25 fruk kiss ?
30 sicire kiss ?
I feel like both are classics for the respective ships but what can I say I love reading the same thing over and over when it comes to fiction :D
NEVER TOUCH A RUNNING SYSTEM!!! IF IT AIN'T BROKEN DON'T FIX IT! That being said, after the day I had in Lecce, I could totally see this swapped, though. Michele and Harry sucking face while Catania is flooded. Doesn't even need to be rainy Ireland. For the latter I have to inquire with my sister, who went to South France for her holiday.
50 Kiss Prompts
FrUK - Wet kisses after finding refuge from the rain.
"Seriously, going outside without an umbrella?! Are you mad?!" Arthur ranted after they had fled into the nearest Métro station, which was packed due to everyone else having the same idea. "If anything, I would have expected you'd take one because you're afraid of your hair being messed up by the rain! Are there any brains in that STD-raided brain of yours?!"
Some bystanders were looking at them, but François was used to it at this point. He just beamed, even though the embarassment of the situation - the situation mostly being Arthur's non-existent filter - still there in the quirk of his eyebrows. "I'm very glad to spend the weekend with you, too, mon chéri."
Arthur still glared at him, his briefcase above his head. "I'm seriously considering going straight to Dover via Calais. At least that tunnel is dry!"
François sighed. Instead of escalating their argument further, he cupped Arthur's face - wet skin on wet skin, cold fingers on warm cheeks - and leant in to kiss him hello. He could feel the other pout against him and chuckled, but at least Arthur didn't refuse him.
"We definitely have to change clothes once we're home," François said and now Arthur, ironically, blushed even harder. "Don't plan on spending the weekend with a cold."
Arthur lowered the briefcase, which still dripped from its corners, much like a few of his wheat-golden strands of hair. "Yes, me neither," he said.
François wrapped an arm around his shoulder, which Arthur eyed with a frown, but the blush stayed the same until he spoke up again: "Because if we're sick, how will I be able to kiss and cherish you all weekend!"
He leant in closer, while Arthur's cheeks radiated enough heat to probably dry him within minutes. "Although, if we're both sick, then I suppose it wouldn't matter and I could kiss you all the time, anyways." With that, he cupped one of the wet, warm cheeks and pressed a loud kiss - he made a kissing sound at the top of his throat, to make sure - to his other cheek. He could feel and taste the faintest hint of cold rain water.
"I'll trip you onto the tracks, then your concerns won't just be limited to this weekend," Arthur said as he stared straight ahead, across the tracks and to the métro station's other side.
He was fascinated with how red his ears were. So he laughed and made no show of releasing Arthur, who clung to his briefcase as if his life - or more accurately, his honour - depended on it. "But chéri, you will only make more concerns for yourself this way. Since if I am gravely injured, I will need someone to take care of me - and you wouldn't leave such a task to my poor Maman and Arielle and Désirée, would you?"
He laughed while Arthur's lips pressed into a thin line and he was surprised that neither steam was shooting out of his ears nor that the rest of the rainwater simply evaporated off of him.
He thought about extending the list of potential caretakers by dragging the Scots into it, but was sure that this could actually end with him on the tracks. So instead he smiled and patted Arthur's other cheek before he put his hand on his chest. Sadly, the other was too layered up to feel his heartbeat. "No, you wouldn't, mon lapin, so let's just get to my appartment, change out of these clothes and occupy ourselves with more pleasant activities for this evening. There's a lovely little restaurant that opened up around the corner, trés chic, so I could make a reservation, if you'd like."
It took a few more laboured breaths, but then Arthur deflated. "Yes, sounds good," he said. When François put his hand back onto his cheek to turn his face, he said: "Oh, you can't be helped, can you?", but answered the kiss to his lips.
SicIre - Weak, sweaty kisses because it’s unbearably hot.
By this point, Harry was doing himself no favours. With the amount of times he kissed Michele's neck, the sweat he licked up must have dried his throat out.
"Beddu ..." Michele said and moved his head to the side. They sat in the shade of his terrace, on the cold stone tiles. Harry leant against the wall, Michele in his lap. Next to them on a tablet were the granite Michele had made them.
Harry tried to speak, but as predicted, his voice gave out. Michele lifted one of the glasses up and helped but the straw into Harry's mouth, who greedily sucked up the thick sugar crystals infused with lemon juice.
Once they had been finished weeding the fields and Michele had done some emergency repairs on an eggplant, because Angelo's chicken would have been able to break out and into the fucking aula bunker of the Ucciardone, Harry had ditched his shirt, shoes and socks in the shade. Michele had followed suit with the shirt, so that his back and Harry's stomach now stuck together.
"Thanks darling," Harry said after he had released the straw and Michele looked at the pitiful rest of granita with a raised eyebrow. He put naughty thoughts about Harry's sucking strength aside like the glass and picked up another one to cool himself down.
It was too hot for naughty thoughts anyways. With the way that the walls enclosed his property, there was barely a rush of wind to cool them down, not to mention that the further away one got from the seaside, the more oppressive the heat.
Thusly, once Michele released the straw and turned his head to look at Harry, they only managed pecks on each other's lips. They turned their heads sometime and every now and then a tongue darted out to swipe across lips and prod the tip of the other's, but everything else seemed like too much work.
"Mhm, are those strawberries?" Harry asked after one such playful meeting of tongues. He licked his own lips.
"Mhm," Michele hummed in agreement and put the straw back between his lips to suck up more of the strawberry granita. It was unclear if Harry's hazy, yet desirefilled stare was related to the granita or naughty thoughts that involved Michele's mouth.
"Knock yourself out," he said. "That's why I made so many." He put the straw to Harry's mouth, who blissfully closed his eyes and made short work of the granita.
Michele softly kissed the pulsing cheek, his lips barely brushing skin and more the fine hairs and the faintest traces of an emerging five o'clock shade that Harry would have to shave tomorrow.

The Ucciardone, properly the carcere dell'ucciardone, is a high security prison in Palermo. The aula bunker is a court building on its premises which had specifically been constructed for the Maxi Trials of the late 80s and early 90s, which saw nearly 500 mafiosi on trial.

Self indulgently, supernatural dashboard osmosis?
The main thing I know about Supernatural is that if I ever complain about something I don't like about the writing on Buffy, and it gets more than about twenty notes, there is a good chance that one of those notes will be somebody saying "oh, yeah, Supernatural also does this, but much worse". Despite the criticism, this person will almost always be a fan of Supernatural, probably to the extent that their tumblr is about nothing else.
More generally, the relationship between tumblr and Supernatural is (I am led to believe) analogous to the relationship between tvtropes and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It is difficult to imagine one existing without the other. (I have, unfortunately, watched several episodes of BBC Sherlock and I actually quite like what I've seen of Doctor Who, but the impression I get is that -- for better or worse -- the 'Super' part of Superwholock has had a much longer lasting impact on this site's culture.)
As for the actual plot:
Sam and Dean are brothers and they hunt monsters because ... uh. I think it's a family business of some sort? Their father also used to hunt monsters, but I don't think he's around anymore. The show starts out as a Buffy/X-files-style monster of the week deal, but the show keeps escalating its threats and is never canceled, so by about halfway the 'monsters of the week' are Biblical archangels or Lucifer and the actual Big Bads are ... God, I guess? The Demiurge? Something more powerful than that? The world ends at least once. (This might just be a Heroes-style Bad Future, but Sam and Dean definitely spend some time on the wrong side of an apocalypse.)
The show's writers are very sure that both Sam and Dean are straight. Nobody who has actually watched the show agrees. The few characters on the show that the writers admit are gay do not live for long.
One of the brothers dies and goes to hell but he gets better.
At some point in the show's history, probably after one of them has been to hell, they adopt(?) a child called Jack who is basically the antichrist. He grows up to be a moody teenager (like Connor from Angel). Then he dies and everyone is mad about it.
Misha Collins plays an angel called Castiel who falls in love with one of the brothers at some point; I don't know for sure which but I think it's Dean. (The actor who plays I-think-he's-Dean is Jensen something but I'd have to google to be sure of a last name.) At least 50% of Supernatural fan discourse is about Castiel; people seem to like him.
Presumably women also exist in the world of Supernatural, as well as all the ghosts and demons and Biblically-accurate angels, but I could not tell you the name of a female character on this show if my life depended on it.
In November 2020, in the final(?) episode of the show, Misha Collins confesses his love to presumably-Dean and is immediately sent to (super)hell, the show having already established that going to ordinary hell is basically fine whenever it was that one of the brothers went there. As far as large parts of tumblr are concerned this is the most significant thing to have happened in world history that month. This gives birth to the only Supernatural meme I 100% know is from Supernatural, the "I love you" / "[news of recent horrific event]" one.
The show was on the air for about twenty years. At the end of it everyone in the cast was utterly sick of it and never wanted to see each other again. About a year later, they started filming a prequel, which everyone involved in the original show came back for except for probably-Dean, who famously reacted poorly to this on twitter. (Screenshots of this meltdown are, I think, the only time I have ever seen the actor's name.)
Test my dashboard osmosis ability.

Don't you have a psychotic father? Didn't you fear that acid might trigger psychosis in you too?
He did. Its unclear what has caused my fathers psychosis however. His mother holds that when he was young he overdosed on some medication and had a long series of epileptic-like seizures, and that this may be the source; doesnt seem too far fetched bc there have been cases of this happening, and of epileptic seizures causing religious-focused psychosis, and feelings of "heaven" and "hell." Noone else in that line of my family, or on any side of my familty, has had any kind of psychosis-inducing mental illness however, noone recently at least or noone that anyone knows of
I used to worry about it at the beggining, yes, every once in awhile I still do. I mean, before i even did psychadelics weed could have technically caused psychosis - ive met ppl in psych wards who had weed-induced psychosis who had no family history of it even; one girl who it hit after the first time she smoked, and didnt even smoke much. However, no matter how much and how frequently ive smoked, ive never come close to feeling like it was causing that - the most ive had is weed-induced paranoia and other shit, but nothing once I came down. To smoke weed was a risk in the first place, which i took, and so far its been years and nothing has hit me
When i first tried psychadelics, and acid was the first one, I knew it was a risk, one i took because I know I could handle high doses of weed without losing it, and because I was...... well. I was fucked up. anorexia bulimia suicidality a bunch of other shit, i wasnt far away from a second suicide attempt at all, and I couldnt rly see many ways out of the shitshow i was in - i figured if I didnt kill myself the anorexia or bulimia would kill me anyway...... and so, i decided to take the risk, that everything good ive heard might be worth it. And im very glad I did, bc theres a high chance id be...... either dead or much worse off today
By now ive tripped idk well over 50/60 times and have yet to feel like my brain has been pushed twoards psychosis. The most I can say is that, and this applies only to acid which I dont rly do anymore, when I did later on take probably too high doses and had rly bad trips,,,,, yea, in the middle of the bad trip i was afraid of that possibility (or more accurately afraid the trip would never end) - frankly, I think the fact that I had the strength to keep myself together and pull myself out of it got me through it; i dont know if someone else going through that experience without prior experience and the ability to try to keep it together would have had a psychotic break, idk, maybe so maybe not - maybe it wouldnt have been chemical but it would have been so traumatic that theyd have been lost in the sauce. Or maybe not........ the most i can say is that I learned my lesson w strong doses of acid, and that it did happen that I felt its effects for days or weeks after the trip - not psychosis or delusions - hard to explain, but its like the trip lingers; in good cases this is called psychadelic "afterglow," after bad or exhausting trips its not particularly pleasant
Sooo, idk. Yea, i guess it could happen, fuck it, it could happen with weed too. Its a risk I take. I don't smoke as commonly as I used to anyway, and I dont do psychadelics as often (tho frankly the times when I would do shrooms around once or twice a month were the most productive, stable, sane, happy periods of my life). I hope to God it wont, but it could, even being careful and respectful with it
....... overall though? psychadelics, and especially shrooms, have made me feel exponentially, exponentially more "sane" than I ever was before I took them..... and even particularly crazy trips managed to teach me, my brains a lot more put together and stronger than I thought it was

'After the July release of Christopher Nolan’s movie on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the physicist known as the “father of the atomic bomb”, Hong Kong hatter Richard Avery thought he would see a surge of customers coming to his vintage hat shop looking for the “Oppenheimer hat”—and he was partially right.
People didn’t come wanting to buy the specific style worn by Cillian Murphy, the Irish actor who played Oppenheimer in the film—a flat top fedora with a wide brim—but there were plenty of people wanting to get a hat; any hat.
Meanwhile, Avery himself has been rocking a fedora way before the film was made, and has long been fascinated with its evolution through popular culture. Recently, Tatler caught up with Avery at his shop, The Man In The Hat in Sai Ying Pun, to talk all things millinery.
“When I look at pictures of [the real] J. Robert Oppenheimer, he’s wearing a hat that looks like he’s reshaped himself,” Avery says, which makes sense to him.
“Oppenheimer’s family had a property in New Mexico, so he spent parts of his childhood there, and he loved to ride horses and enjoyed a kind of western cowboy lifestyle. So I think it’s highly probable that one of the first hats he ever bought was a cowboy hat from Stetson, [a famous US hat brand that’s still popular today]”, he says. Made of animal felt, these hats were designed to be worn in all weathers and could be moulded and reshaped if they were wrecked.
However, he points out that the film got two things wrong, likely for cinematic effect: “One, that Oppenheimer only wore one hat his whole life; and two, he was the only person who wore a hat. That’s simply inaccurate.”
Avery explains that it was common in the early 20th century for a man in the Western world to own least six hats that they would wear on rotation. The reason they’d had more than one was to have a hat for every season and activity—from fishing to driving, or just for going to work. “So, to assume he didn’t have different hats was kind of strange,” he says.
The fedora worn by Murphy in the film was also not very true to life. It was supplied by Baron Hats, a famous Los Angeles-based brand that has been making hats for Hollywood films since the 1980s and “it’s clearly soft and made of beaver felt, based on the way it reacts to the wind in the film,” Avery says. While it looks fantastic, the hatter says it wasn’t “particularly authentic” to that era.
“It’s cool in a modern way, [but] in the ’40s and ’50s, the brim of the fedora was getting shorter, not wider, and the crown was getting lower, not taller,” he says. The hats worn by actor Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca (1942) and singer Frank Sinatra in the ’50s are more accurate examples of hats from that time, Avery adds.
The local hatter then shared with us some fun facts from history. For example, that “the most famous hat styles, including the fedora, started life as women’s hats. [French actress] Sarah Bernhardt, the first global superstar, popularised this style of hat when she wore it in a play called Fédora in the early 1880s. After that, men in New York started going to their hat shops and saying ‘hey, I want that Fédora hat’.”
In fact, the hat featured in Oppenheimer is reminiscent of that style, and Avery says that was because the movie’s “costume designer Ellen Mirojnick was deliberately going for an iconic look that would have an impact on fashion”. And perhaps it was also to mirror Oppenheimer’s impact on history and the world.
Indeed, every aspect of costuming is an important part of building a character, and the hat certainly added to Murphy’s performance and character development.
“When you’re wearing a hat, it affects you,” Avery say. “It’s on your head where your brain is and close to your eyes—you can’t escape it. There’s a strong relationship between the hat and one’s perceived character. [For example,] there’s a moment in the film where you see Oppenheimer walking and he puts the hat on and pulls it [down]. I loved those moments—it reminded me of when people are trying on about ten hats in my shop, and then they’ll put one on, and suddenly they don’t want to take it off anymore.”

the thing about the new fall out boy song is (coming from someone who actually likes the og) is that the lyrics are pretty bad. some come across better in the actual song but some are still very bad, even in the context of the music. they aren't chronological and are only loosely grouped by topic, which i feel is a bit easier at best and lazy at worst. it makes the theme of the inevitable march of time, or progress, weaker. this also ties into my other issue, identifying the events.
some topics are very vague and not exactly contained to singular events, for example "polar bears got no ice," isn't the best lyric to begin with but it also covers about twenty to thirty years of time, in which lots of major newsworthy events happend that contributed. not to be finicky as well, but polar bears still have at least a little ice. i wouldn't care about this at all if it had actually made headlines that the entire arctic had melted or if polar bears had actually gone extinct. there is also. "earthquakes." just earthquakes. which fucking earthquakes??? just all of them???? an increase in earthquakes?? well i googled it and, "in the past 40-50 years, our records show that we have exceeded the long-term average number of major earthquakes about a dozen times." ( according to this website: https://www.usgs.gov/faqs/why-are-we-having-so-many-earthquakes-has-naturally-occurring-earthquake-activity-been) so sort of? but also, this isn't a super modern issue, and it didn't begin in the songs time frame. the og did have some vague lyrics, such as just "homeless vets." however, in the context of the song, it's a couple lines after "russians in afghanistan," which helps to provide a timeframe, but also becomes a logical extension of the earlier line. i have other little nitpicks with the new lyrics, but i feel like those cover my general problems with different lines.
i'm not a huge fall out boy fan, don't get me wrong, but i do like some of their music. generally, i like it lyrically, so i don't think it's a lack of talent. there are also quite clever little lines in there that i definitely do like, don't get me wrong. what they did get right, however, is that this song fucking rocks. its very good. its a great modernisation of the original, and feels like a fall out boy song while still being fun and light hearted like the original. the singers voice (dont know his name, sorry, like i said im not a fan) sounds great even when hes having to fight the lyrics. would i say musically it's on par with bon jovis og? definitely. if i ignore the lyrics, i would love it.
i just really wish it had been workshopped a little more to smooth out the rough edges. i also wish it had waited a little longer. bon jovis covered fifty years of events (technicaly 51, but whatever). its a significant and meaningful number, a half a century. this one only covers 34. it just doesn't feel right to me. again, maybe this is too nitpicky, and you could definitely argue that more and more significant events have happened exponentially in that time, which i would definitely think is a valid argument. i would rebuttal that this could also just be an increase in seemingly important events due to the nature of the modern news cycle. i would think that only time would tell if some things are that big a deal. i think this is definitely a matter of opinion, though, and it's really up to you where you fall.
in conclusion, it the lyrics are probably as bad as people are saying, but the song definitely isn't that bad overall. if you feel this song accurately represents your experience of the last thirty years, that's great! maybe im just too young for this, and it wasn't made for me, and that's fine.
anyways i just wanted to share my thoughts, lol

What’s transport like across Brazil?
it varies wildly from place to place but I would guess it's probably not as fucked as american transport overall. São Paulo has a very robust subway system, it serves most of the (acknowledged) inhabited areas of the city and its extremely intuitive. public transport was also very robust in the city I'm from, although it was entirely bus based it served the entire city and allowed for easy access to neighboring towns. I think it's said to be like, one of the best systems worldwide but my home city also invests a lot in propaganda about how good of a city to live in it is so its difficult to gauge how accurate it is. I'm not saying which city it is bc I've become paranoid about disclosing personal information but if you google search it and this^ turns out to be accurate I guess you'll find out anyway lmao. what I can say is that it was definitely, infinitely better than the transport in the city I currently live in (also a metropolis) which is a car infested shithole with like, 5 different modalities of public transport all of which combined are insufficient to effectively serve the entire population, slow as fuck and absurdly overpriced.
in general we got fucked over countrywide by the same kind of car industry lobbying responsible for making transport in the US so horrendous (notably the Juscelino Kubitchek government in the 50's is most known for highly prioritizing and subsidizing the development of the car industry in Brazil) and there's the same issue of smaller towns having little means of transit without a personal vehicle. I think intermunicipal and interstate transport via travel bus is more robust across the board than in the US, at the very least it seems to be much more taken for granted here than I see it being talked about in US spaces.

Obey Me Incorrect Quotes
A/N: I have a weird obsession with incorrect quotes so here are a few for Obey Me. I'm not sure how accurate these would be but oh well I collected these over times, some of them aren't really incorrect quotes but hey, I can turn probably everything into one. ------- Mammon: I hate when I misplace my glasses because I am forced to walk around like I'm suspicious of everything. MC: *glares and points at the cabinet* What about you, cabinet, sketchy piece of shit, did you take them? - Leviathan: Bloodborn is just Dark Souls but wet. Everyone: .... Lucifer: ...Pardon? Leviathan: Dark Souls is defined by its absence of anything resembling life. Miyazaki made a world so almost utterly devoid of growth or flourishing at all. Everything is in the final stages of rot and decay, reduced to the cracking skeleton of what it once was. Not just metaphorically, the stone and grass and trees and just.. everything about it is so terribly dry. Beelzebub: Levi-- Leviathan: BLOODBORN THOUGH? Bloodborn is dripping, sopping wet. The stone in central Yharnam? Wet. The bosses? Wet. The weapons? Wet. The combat? Wet. The plot points? WET. The way it's so utterly obsessed with liquid, fresh death, gore and a city in the midst of ruin, rather than having died off long ago? FUCKING W E T Asmodeus: What happened? MC: Introducing Levi to those games may of been a bad idea- - Mammon: Sensory overload is really like, sorry I can't hear you over my shirt tag being itchy, those two strands in my face, the pot boiling in the kitchen, one of my shoe laces being undone, the music in my brothers room, the AIR and my own brain trying to remember to buy jewelry! MC: I can't talk, I have socks on - MC: *Cuddling the twins* Pfft- Beel, are you kissing my knuckles, that's so-- STOP LICKING MY RING POP- - Belphegor: You are the best twin I can ask for and I would do anything for you Beelzebub: I want you to eat at least three meals a day and stop trying to murder Lucifer.. Belphegor: Absolutely not. - Solomon: I am the most responsible in the group Luke: But you set the kitchen on fire!! Solomon: Yes, and I take full responsibility for that - Lucifer: I'm having salad for dinner MC: Wait seriously? Lucifer: ..Actually it's more so grapes Lucifer: Okay it's all grapes MC: Wha-- Lucifer: Fermented grapes Lucifer: MC: Is it wine? Lucifer: It's wine. Lucifer: I'm going to have wine for dinner - Luke: *To Simeon and Solomon* Can we go to a haunted house this year? I want to try it.. Solomon: What's wrong with the one we have now?? Luke: Wait- WHAT?! Solomon: Goodnight! - Asmodeus: Look, we're under a mistletoe~ MC: *looks up* Asmo, that's.. not a mistletoe.. Later that night MC: *wakes up at 4am* OH MY DIAVOLO HE WAS FLIRTING WITH ME - MC: Date someone who will drag you outside at 3am to look at the stars! Belphegor: I love stargazing but if anyone, and I mean anyone, wakes me up at 3am to go look at the damn sky they will be removed indefinitely from my life. - Simeon: You often use humor to deflect trauma.. Mammon: Thanks Luke: We didn't say that was a good thing- Mammon: What I'm hearing is, ya think I'm funny - Satan: Why did you draw a pentagram on the floor? Mammon: Your text told me to satanize the house before you two returned. Lucifer: Lucifer He wrote SANITIZE, Mammon. - Belphegor: You fuckers don’t know about my knife stick. It’s a knife taped to a stick and it’s the ultimate weapon Beelzebub: A... spear? Belphegor: - Asmodeus: I actually have a black belt. Solomon: In what, karate? Asmodeus: No, from Majolish. - Asmodeus: Let me show you a picture from last night that really upset me Mammon: Okay, but in my defense, Belphie bet me 50 grimm I couldn’t drink all your shampoo. Asmodeus: That’s not what I wanted to- you drank SHAMPOO?! MORE IMPORTANTLY MY SHAMPOO??? - Beelzebub: What's a word thats a mix between 'sad' and 'mad'? Satan: Disgruntled, miserable, desolated- Mammon: Smad. - Mammon: If I die, my funeral is going to be the biggest party ever and you’re all
invited Lucifer: If?? Levi: Great, the only party I’ve ever been invited to and he might not even die. - Belphegor: Here’s a fun Christmas idea. We hang mistletoe, but instead of kissing, you have to FIGHT whoever else is under it. MC: Belphie, no-- Satan: Mistlefoe. Lucifer: Please stop encouraging him. - Mammon: Self care is actually getting into fights with randoms in dark alleys Asmodeus: No, self care is stuff like taking a bubble bath, or putting on a lot of makeup if you like it, or taking a nice warm nap! Satan, who got pissed off just recently: Self care is the burning heat when rage washes over you. Self care is when you feel the bones crack under your powerful fists. Self care is the fear in your enemies’ eyes! MC: Self care is taking your birthday cake just so I can eat the frosting. Satan: If you touch my birthday cake I’ll make you eat your hands. - MC: You are an absolute dork. Mammon, singing: Yeah, but I'm your dork! MC: *sighs* Yeah, you're my dork.
