MOONIE, QUESTION
If the TADC cast ( + Kaufmo and Queenie) were animals, what do you think they would all be?
OOOOOO
Sorry sorry for my very late response DJ HALO , butttt if you ask me , I think these characters would be either :
Our dear Jester protagonist , Pomni :
- SHE IS HEAVILY CAT-CODED because , like , LOOK AT HER
- she also seemed to have those big canine-like teeth instead , so she is most definitely a dog too , specifically a chihuahua I guess LMAOO XD
- perhaps a mouse as well , due to her tiny stature and how she most probably deemed as a fool or weakling ((since she has the "Jester" design)) but with a hidden smart and organized mind ((just like Jerry !!))
My Our beloved ragdolly , Ragatha :
- I cannot help but to think of her as a Bunny too ((I know , I know , Jax existed but he can fuck off to the side for a moment)) specifically the floppy-eared bunny whose size is a bit bigger than normal bunnies ((I don't know what breeds they are all called , sorry))
- I'd like to think that Ragatha could also be a freaking deer , because she is such a lovely little deer ((sorry for the intended pun XD but I'm serious , she's hella sweet but also quite fragile and such a people-pleaser))
- listen .... maybe slide a sheep at that too ..... ((I AM JUST GENERALLY VERY VERY WEAK TO WOMEN WITH GENTLE NATURE OKAYYY))
The [HONK]hole who also happens to be such a loveable jerk , Jax :
- he is either an actual bunny or a hare , that's it. Get out.
The ribbon crybaby GIRLYYY , Gangle :
- she can be a snake !! Look at herrrrr all noodly 🥺🥺
- she could also be a salamander I think !! To me Gangle is just generally a very shy and very sweet , anxiety-filled and crybaby girl , and her being a salamander hiding underneath those sands are just the cherry on top
- perhaps she could be a gecko as well !! I don't know , her big ol' eyes just reminded me of those little cat geckos fr ((and I also think she's generally quite the curious girl , maybe))
- maybe an axolotl too , maybe
The nice , wise and sweet yet dementia-filled chess piece ((with the memory of a goldfish too)) of ours , Kinger :
- he could be a fantastic stallion !! To me he might be very easily startled and forgetful , but I think he's genuinely a really really cool guy with tons of hidden abilities and talents alike , hence why he is a stallion in my opinion
- perhaps a horse as well , because he's silly XD
- he fr could be a little dog too , JUST LOOK AT THEM EYEEEES ((freaking Golden Retriever of an old man))
- and please add a little parakeet at that too , HELP ME OLD MAN CAN SING
- HE FROG
The emo puzzle Lego piece themselves , Zooble :
- honestly they could be a dragon !! They're so cool and the different pieces jumbled together as their entire look and body just giving Discord from MLP vibes ((sorry I seriously cannot help myself on this one XD))
- Zoobs legit could also be a crow , because emo outside sunshine inside
- Maybe throw some lazy koala too , because they look lazy and hella laid-back to me ((but most definitely not stupid , pretty sure Zoobs excels in something complicated too , like coming up with new types of fire ass drinks on the spot))
Miss mother dear Lord Ma'am , Queenie :
- Perhaps a black swan , I genuinely think that she's a very elegant lady with class AND sass !!!!
- despite us all headcanoning that Queenie MAY be a girlboss , I'd like to also think that she's quite the sharp-tongued woman who is also quite cunning , so perhaps a vixen or anything fox-like is up her alley as well
((I definitely don't think she's cool at all that's why I chose vixen or fox-like critters , oh noooo , hahahahahahha ......))
As for Kaufmo our favourite clown Papa guy , I think he'd be either :
- thanks to the suggestions on @moonbunscafe 's blog, I'd like to think that him being a duck is a very good and suitable choice
- perhaps a silly little pigeon too !! I don't know , I love pigeons very very much and I theorised that Kaufmo is quite the silly yet fatherly guy , so
((Can you see the relation between them -- Sorry I'm still learning my English))
- aaaand perhapssss .... Just maybe .... Throw some Weiner dog too ((I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY BUT GOOFY IMMEDIATELY CAME UP INTO MY HEAD AS I IMAGINED KAUFMO SO I CANNOT HELP MYSELF SHSHSH))

I hate how fandom has become "if you haven't created anything in this very specific time frame after the release of the show/movie, everyone will have moved on"
And call me old fashioned, but that's just not me. I sometimes take ages to create and publish. And I will love a show or movie for such a long time (years, babes, years) that I just can't relate to the fast consumerism that's going on.
Because, let's be real, it can get really lonely in a fandom if most have simply moved on to the next shiny thing. Is what's created less worth, just because it was created outside the hype? Why is it such a taboo for this new fandom generation to love an old or "late" fic or art?
It's so tiring and I'm too old for the 30-seconds-hype-tiktok-shit. Just tired. So, so tired.

i think a big reason why i enjoy the zukka fanbase significantly more than any other atla shipping-specific fanbase is because nobody in there is wasting time trying to convince anyone why it was secretly canon. like, this is a ship that is pretty much exclusively limited to unpacking these two characters, exploring how their personalities complement one another, and talking about what the post-war universe would look like. nobody is sitting here trying to tell you why, like, suki was secretly toxic and sokka was in love with zuko the whole time. idk. y'all are vibing and chilling and that's why it works

I know this isn't only an autistic thing or always an autistic thing, but over the least few years, I've realized that a lot of my difficulties with humor are not actually with humor itself. If anything, there are specific kinds of humor that really work for me and I end up laughing so much harder and longer than everyone else that it's uncomfortable or embarrassing.
But a lot of popular humor fundamentally relies on saying things that aren't true. Sometimes this is drastic exaggeration, sometimes it's OTT parody that is far more about Being Funny than about the actual thing being parodied, and often it's flatly false and that's what is supposed to be funny about it. And yes, that's a humorless and ungracious way to describe that kind of humor—I don't mean to say that this is objectively bad or something.
I even understand the jokes intellectually. But in the vast majority of cases, there is something deeply unfunny to me about jokes reliant on something that is either obviously untrue or which I firmly disagree with.
I've seen quite a few posts recently about how, in online fandom, mocking your faves or being amused at other people mocking your faves is an important part of fandom culture. But for me, jokes about my faves based on things they actually said or did, or qualities they clearly possess, can be very funny, while jokes that are based on misrepresentations—even obvious, it's-all-in-good-fun-and-we-all-know-the-truth misrepresentations—are tedious at best.
For an easy example: Anakin and Luke Skywalker are two of my main Star Wars faves. Jokes about sand or Anakin mass-murdering children in his good phase or Luke being far less concerned than Han over the revelation of who his twin is or "it's not faaaaair" can still be really funny to me when told right. Jokes about Anakin obviously mind-tricking Padmé or Luke being obviously an eternally optimistic loser twink are intensely annoying to me regardless of context or delivery, not because they're comparably objectionable or anything but because they're not true.
Functionally this does cut out a lot of humor—especially online humor—but it's not that I literally don't understand it. I get it. I just don't get it.
