Suiren (Samurott): One of Hikari's first Pokémon. Evolves into a Samurott when he fights Mugen.

Explanation:

"A master of a sword-drawing art called iaijutsu, Samurott settles its battles with a single swing of either large sword sheathed in its foreleg armor." "Hard of heart and deft of blade, this rare form of Samurott is a product of the Pokémon's evolution in the region of Hisui. Its turbulent blows crash into foes like ceaseless pounding waves." Hisuian form is used as a reference to Shadow Hikari.

Aylin (Sceptile - Mega Evolution): One of Hikari's first Pokémon. Named by Kura. Can Mega Evolve. Evolves alongside Suiren during Hikari's battle with Mugen.

Explanation:

"The leaves on its arms are as sharp as swords. It agilely leaps about the branches of trees to strike its enemies." Also. Um. Have you played PMD2. Grovyle is there.

Chizu (Skarmory): A common Pokémon seen in Ku. Guided Hikari to safety when he ran away from home.

Explanation:

"People fashion swords from Skarmory's shed feathers, so this Pokémon is a popular element in heraldic designs." Trainers in Ku admire Skarmory for its strength and steel feathers!

Kosei (Clefable): Caught in the Crestlands on the way to Montwise as a Cleffa.

Explanation:

"Some scientists believe that it gazes intently at the sky on nights with a full moon because it's homesick." Found by Hikari as a Cleffa and grew strong through his caring approach to Pokémon training.

Haruto (Gallade): Caught near Wellgrove as a Kirlia.

Explanation:

"The blades extending from its elbows are sharper than the finest swords. Its swordsmanship, albeit self-taught, is astonishingly impressive." "When trying to protect someone, it extends its elbows as if they were swords and fights savagely." "Sharply attuned to others' wishes for help, this Pokémon seeks out those in need and aids them in battle."

Shimo (Mudsdale): Caught on the way to Stormhail.

Explanation:

"It remains calm and unmoving no matter the situation. It mixes dirt with the saliva in its mouth to make a special kind of mud." Also Hikari is 100% a horse-loving guy… Not giving him a Rapidash though, I imagine he has an aversion to fire.

Agnea

Joy (Brionne): Agnea's first Pokémon. A child of her mother's Primarina.

Explanation:

I mean have you seen Brionne. "It gets excited when it sees a dance it doesn't know. This hard worker practices diligently until it can learn that dance."

Gala (Tepig): A rampaging Pokémon that Agnea calmed down before a festival.

Explanation:

The Duorduor from CH1.

Hope (Hisuian Lilligant - Shiny): Caught in New Delsta as a Petilil.

Explanation:

"I suspect that its well-developed legs are the result of a life spent on mountains covered in deep snow. The scent it exudes from its flower crown heartens those in proximity." Attacks with strong kicks, like Agnea.

Merry (Altaria - Mega Evolution): Hatched from an egg given to her by Garud. Born in Tropuhopu, shortly after Agnea decides to go to Merry Hills. Agnea receives a Mega Ring upon winning the Grand Gala.

Explanation:

"Altaria sings in a gorgeous soprano. Its wings are like cotton clouds. This Pokémon catches updrafts with its buoyant wings and soars way up into the wild blue yonder."

Glimmer (Glossifleur): Caught in the Brightlands while Agnea was journeying to Merry Hills.

Explanation:

"It anchors itself in the ground with its single leg, then basks in the sun. After absorbing enough sunlight, its petals spread as it blooms brilliantly." "It whirls around in the wind while singing a joyous song. This delightful display has charmed many into raising this Pokémon."

Jubilee (Flygon): Caught in Ryu as a Trapinch during D&W1

Explanation:

"Flygon whips up a sandstorm by flapping its wings. The wings create a series of notes that sound like singing. Because the "singing" is the only thing that can be heard in a sandstorm, this Pokémon is said to be the desert spirit."

BEHOLD: ProhibitedWish Pokemon Gym Leader AU

It's been a HOT MINUTE since I've done ProhibitedWish stuff, but the brainworms spoke to me again, so here you go!

They're Gym Leaders who have to share a gym (Like Bea and Allister in Sword and Shield), so Scarab runs the Gym during the Summer while Prismo runs it during the Winter.

They were hella rivals in their Trainer Days, but now they share a wavelength no one else seems tuned to. They're Husbands, you're honor.

Scarab is just as No Nonsense as he always is, sometimes coming across as intimidating or severe to those who don't take the time to know him.

He's originally from Unova, and has a deep admiration for all bug types. He is constantly trying to prove their viability as partners, and serves as a mighty brick wall for trainers thinking they can just Bulldoze their way through with a single fire of flying type.

Scarab also has Chronic Pain in his legs, so he uses a cane to walk. Scizor is his service Pokemon, and has been since it was a Scyther and he was a young boy. He does contests in the off season, as well as nature photography.

Prismo is very laid back, always on the verge of falling asleep, and might come across almost like a slacker. He's very personable, easy to speak to, and quick to make acquaintances.

He's originally from Alola, but moved far away when he was a boy. His Gym Challenge is considered infuriating by many, as his primary goal is to put the opponents to sleep, and keep them that way for as long as possible.

His Musharna is very well fed as he has very strange dreams. It's what attracted her to him in the first place! Overall, he's very eager to cuddle up with his Pokemon (or husband) and take a nap whenever he's able. He runs a Yoga studio in the off season.

Wenona: Torterra. I’m not sure why, exactly, but I think they have similar vibes.

Cassidy: Joltik! Not only does it fit with the animal theming, but if she were a Poketuber she gives me the vibes of one that just has a super random Pokemon as a channel mascot. One like Joltik.

Jett: Wasn’t there a thing in the dex about how Arcanine can run 6200 miles in 24 hours? Uh, anyways, Arcanine.

Mark: Oh, yeah, Skeledirge. It’s a gator, it sings, and it’s dead inside.

My team

My mom was a pokemon rescuer and she would adopt them when I was little so my childhood was involved with a lot of pokemon and basically loved pokemon ever since I was a little baby :) Some of the pokemon I had were given to me on my birthdays and some of them I caught in the wild when I was 10 thanks to my dad teaching me (he's a pokemon professor btw). Thanks mom and dad!

But anyways here's my team!

Phoenix the Blaziken ♂️

Move set: Flamethrower, Blaze Kick, Stone edge, Thunder punch

I had Phoenix ever since he was a little pokemon egg. My mom rescued the egg from a forest fire and knew when the egg hatched it wouldn't be able to survive because the eviorment got destroyed and couldn't find it's mother so she brought it home and later hatched into a Torchic. Me and Phoenix are really close and he helped me a lot during the gym challenges. He sometimes acts like a older brother figure to the rest of my team and is really nice, patient and smart!

Siren the Milotic ♀️

Moveset: Hydro Pump, Bubble Beam, Disarming Voice, Aqua Ring

I got Siren from a pokemon breeding center after I got my first gym badge. She's quite shy but loves it when I groom her. She also hates it when she get's dirty but is sweet nonetheless.

Cloudy the Altaria ♂️

Moveset: Mist, Dazzling Gleam, Dragon pulse, Draco Meteor

Cloudy was a present I got from my mom when I was 9 years old. He was a swablu at the time. He's really energetic and loves to play so he's really productive. But sometimes he can be gremlin and loves to bother my other pokemon just for fun.

Aurora the Gardevoir ♀️

Moveset: Prismatic Laser, Energy Ball, Physic, Light Screen

I caught Aurora when she was a Kirlia back when I was on my way to the 3rd gym. I managed to complete the gym in one sweep thanks to her. (She's one tough cookie!). Aurora acts like a older sister to my team so she gets along with them very well. But she doesn't tolerate Cloudy's antics and scolds whenever he does something stupid.

Apollo the Absol ♂️

Moveset: Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam, Swords Dance

Apollo was another pokemon I got from mom as a present on my 11th birthday. I always gushed about having an absol because I thought they were so cool. I didn't know what to name him so my dad recommended the name Apollo. Apollo also helped me a lot on my gym challenges so I'm really grateful for that. I knew that Absol's dislike fighting so I only used him if my other pokemon had fainted and he was the only one left and mostly use him for contests. Apollo is a bit more reclusive than Siren but still he's nice!

Angel the Sylveon ♀️

Moveset: Fairy Wind, Attract, Swift, Moon Blast

Last but not least Angel! I got Angel when she was an eevee. Poor thing was bullied by a bunch of mightyena so I drove the pack away with Phoenix and Aurora. I guess I got my 'helping pokemon' genes from my mom. Since then she started to follow me everywhere and I didn't wanted to leave the cute thing alone so I decided to catch her! Since then I have been taking of her with proper care, love and attention and then she evolved into sylveon and gotten much stronger. Like her name suggests she is a huge sweetheart and loves to be productive❤

This is Via our newest member of the pokemon peforming team! She is sooo beautiful, precious and I caught her last week! She is a bit shy and not much of a battler like Apollo but a kind-hearted darling♡ I am going to take good care of her!

I didn't get many pics of the Elite four because oops my SD card was full... but I went with an all-shiny team, and Teal the Quaxly played their part admirably!

Full team was Resh the Ceruledge, Mint the Decidueye, Egg the Altaria, Popsicle the Eiscue, Nori the Dragonite and ye, Teal the Quaxly.

Re-injured Arven's dog and made a point of beating Skeledirge with Quaxly.

Even if I was a lil cheap and used Substitute to make sure Teal would be fine.

disclaimer: this is actually the first time i'm thinking about the rest of shiratorizawa so these teams very well may change in the future (except for ushijima, semi, and tendou)

washijou: i do not have a team decided for washijou yet but the idea for him is he's a dragon-type gym leader! he was sort of a mentor to ushijima before ushijima left on his first pokemon journey (where he became champion). ushijima got his first pokemon from washijou too!!

ushijima: i talked about ushijima's team here in the post about the elite four + champion.

tendou: i talked about his team here.

semi: so, i'm still unsure what i'm doing with him. i very much still want him to be a musician (hence the pokemon i gave him) but i'm not sure what he was doing before? i'm debating having it where he was attempting the gym challenge originally but changed his mind. he and tendou are traveling together.

his pokemon- obstagoon, chatot, low-key toxtricity, noivern (i sort of lied when i said semi didn't have any dragon types bc i didn't know noivern was a dual type lol)

reon: left on his pokemon journey at the same time as ushijima. he beat all of the gym leaders but lost when he challenged the elite four. he is now a trainer at washijou's gym. he only uses his dragon-types when he battles challengers at the gym.

his team - dragonite, fraxure, goodra (<- the pokemon he uses to battle gym challengers, capping at three because that's the max i've seen gym trainers in the games use)

i'm thinking he has other pokemon that were on his original team when he challenged the gyms and elite four, he just doesn't use them for the gym battles. i think a kingambit would be cool for one of them because of the benkei nickname.

yamagata: thinking the same thing as reon? him being a trainer at the gym would be cool too, i think.

his team - druddigon, arctibax, tyrantrum (<- very tentative... i do really like tyrantrum for him though)

again, he probably has other pokemon that were with him on his original journey that he doesn't use for the gym battles. i don't have any ideas for those though. if i'm honest, i don't think about yamagata much despite really liking the stz third years lol.

shirabu: so, the original plan for shirabu was for him to be a contest coordinator bc that's what yahaba is? and i wanted them to be rivals lol. but i think him being a regular trainer would make sense too so maybe he does both? really admires ushijima.

i think he and yahaba have almost gotten into fist fights at several contests. everyone wonders how they haven't been banned from competing lol.

Some "About Alysa" information!

These ones are personal / character based.

The biggest misconception she faces in BBA is that many peers think she's the "soft & timid type who's a pushover", kinda like how Kieran used to be. This is half true. While she is soft and timid, she has a massive temper smoldering on the inside, and while rare - it can get fanned. Carmine insulted her relationship with Drayton once, and Alysa felt genuine rage. If she had less inhibitions and didn't hate getting angry, she probably would've decked Carmine. So, while she looks and is demure, it's still wise to not push Alysa into the realms of fury.

She encapsulates the essence of a Dragon, and the essence of a Fairy, if you think about it...

Another thing she has on the inside is a strong sense of justice. She's shy and doesn't like being the center of attention 9/10 times, but chances are Alysa will speak up or stand up if she sees people being talked down to or pokemon being misused. She's not the Lawful Good sort tho, 100% a Neutral Good tea enjoyer.

When she's nervous/anxious, she fidgets with her fingers or her hair. When startled, her first instinct is to run away or hide behind something. When she gets irritated enough, she irregularly thumps one of her feet. What a bunny girl.

She loves her Kalosian heritage, but being clowned by other teens in the past over it has made her be less open with it. She doesn't speak Kalosian around other people if she doesn't need to, mainly reserving it for talking/singing to herself or thinking out loud in private. Drayton gets her to open up more with him, and despite not understanding Kalosian at first (he eventually learns it), she speaks in it to him sometimes. The only pokemon in her team that can relatively understand Kalosian are her Altaria and Clefairy, she trained all her other ones in Unovan.

The celeb trainer she admires the most out of any, is Valerie from Kalos. She dreams of going back to Kalos to continue her gym run one day, partly so she can meet Valerie. She admires Drasna too, but not as much as Valerie.

Outside of celeb trainers, yes, she does actually admire Drayton...because she's gotten to know the REAL him. She genuinely thinks he's cool, no matter if he says/does something cringe. She genuinely thinks he's funny, no matter if his teasing or jokes can get annoying. For all the shit that gets talked about him by others, be it justified or not, Alysa counters all of it with her positive feelings for him. She's literally his biggest fan & supporter (he needs someone in his corner let's be real, it's him vs the entire school almost LMAO). She doesn't care if she's being biased. He has her loyalty. He's her ride or die.

Ngl in a meta, AU sense, this devotion does kinda bleed over to other Draytons. The one SHE knows is the one she's faithful to ofc, but she'll be naturally inclined to treat any Drayton kindly and help them if they need it. They'll always have a friend in her.

Emmet, excited: Hey look, you finally finished it!~

Ingo, all proud of himself: Yes, I did. It took me a while to figure out because of the different shades of blu- 

{Emmet suddenly throws the puzzle off the table scattering the pieces everywhere.]

Emmet: Oops! my bad!

[Emmet laughs as Ingo silently stares down at the empty table then at the destroyed puzzle. His eye twitches as scary purple aura erupts around him, I-S/o who witnessed the entire thing started shivering in fear.]

I-S/o, nervously: Erm...Emmet?  y-Ya might wanna be gettin’ the fuck outta dodge, like yesterday!

Emmet, looks at her confused: Huh? 

{Before I-S/o could intervene, Ingo’s hand suddenly grabbed  Emmet by his shirt’s collar! “It was at this moment that Emmet knew... He F*cked up!” Emmet’s eyes widened in horror as Ingo proceeds to drag him through the house and throw him out into the front yard. (Think how Jazz gets thrown out of the house on the fresh prince.) then locks his younger brother out of the house, a few seconds later I-S/o pokes her head out from an upstairs window.]

Emmet: N/n, can you please tell Ingo I’m sorry and to let me back in? I’ll even clean up the dang puzzle mess!

I-S/o, looks her shoulder and winces: Yeah....I don’t think that’s good idea at the moment. For your own safety, It’s probably best if you stayed with E-S/o for a bit; let your brother cool down.

[Needless to say. Emmet had to endure a week of Ingo giving him the silent treatment and bouts of “Random trainer or Depot agent, please tell Emmet I don’t have any potions, since I’m not speaking to him.” While they were in the same train car; barely two feet away from each other!]

It isn’t until MC and Cove reach the age of thirteen that their parents surprise them with a pair of Pokemon eggs for them to take care of and hatch together.

Cliff had always planned on surprising Cove with a Pokemon egg once he was old enough to properly care for one. It was difficult for him not to abandon his plans and get him an egg then and there when they first moved into Sunset Bird, but luckily Pam and Lani were there to stop him and remind him that Cove was a bit too young to be caring for a Pokemon, especially with how he had to be used to living in a new location. Speaking of the moms, Pam and Lani were a bit more on the hesitant side before coming to an agreement after many discussions held between them and MC. 

MC and Cove’s dedication in watching over these eggs was unrivaled; something that anyone in the neighborhood could see clearly.

It wasn’t long before the eggs hatched and turned out to be Eevee’s!

And they were an accurate reflection of their trainers with how clingy and close the eevee’s were. That gave Liz more fuel to tease MC and Cove over how their eevee’s acted like them.

Nobody was surprised when later down the line, Cove’s eevee evolved into a Vaporeon. 

The one eeveelution that prefers beautiful shores and a water type? Perfect for the ocean boy, who enjoys spending as much time as possible at the beach. His adoration for his Pokemon partner only grows after reading one of its pokedex entries that states that Vaporeon’s tails are mistaken for a mermaid’s. 

The MC’s eevee evolves into their own preference. Although if it evolves into a Sylveon, Cove will definitely make some type of comment in regards to how eevee’s evolve into Sylveon as a chance to compliment MC on how great of a friend they are.

On a day when MC and Cove are hanging out at the hill behind MC’s house, Cove discovers a white flower Flabebe nearby the white linen poppies he was admiring. It reminded him so much of his favorite flower that he couldn’t help but catch it.

When MC and Cove are older and venture out to do some exploring, they run into a wild Sobble.

MC can’t be blamed for pointing out the many similarities between it and Cove, specifically when he was younger. Cove of course, trying to hide his amusement, can only respond with a, “Really?”

Without wasting another second, MC ends up catching it and names it after Cove. That gets an affectionate, unreserved laugh at your choice. If MC sticks to that name decision then Cove will call it by Junior instead, and if MC takes back the name then they change the nickname to something similar to Cove.

MC isn’t the only one to catch a Pokemon that day as Cove ends up with a Popplio!

Recall the events of the Happiness Moment? You can bet that Cove’s newly evolved Brionne during that is helping him out because Brionne cares deeply for its companions, and the MC is incredibly close to Cove so MC’s happiness is something important to it. Cove’s surprises are joined by Brionne’s cheery dances.

While MC does nickname their own Pokemon, Cove’s naming skills aren’t the best or most creative. He still goes to base names on what the Pokemon look like. But if MC ever suggests a name for him then he’ll gladly use it.

Here’s some of the Pokemon that I think other characters would have ;

Cliff would definitely have a Mantine and a Floatzel; the latter often is out of its pokeball whether at home or with Cliff during his work.

He has had a Mantine since he was a teen and it was a Mantyke. However, he caught a Buizel once he was older and Cove was born, so the Buizel became a sort of house pet / Pokemon. It cares for Cove as much as Cliff does, always there to keep him company when he was younger and needed a swimming buddy.

Lee would have a Delcatty, an Altaria, and a Jigglypuff on her side. Maybe even a Miccino perhaps. Her Altaria and Jigglypuff love to join in on singing whenever Lee is singing. 

Derek would have a Cinderace for certain, most likely owning a Scorbunny since he was thirteen. It would definitely be there to play soccer with him when he’s practicing alone and simply be his support.

Liz would have a Furfrou with a Debutante trim, especially during Step 3 ( matching hats! ). I imagine the Furfrou was a part of the family that the moms promised Liz could have once she was old enough to care for Pokemon. 

When she starts to aspire to be an architect and work on her degree, a Smeargle most likely joins her team. It enjoys helping with making designs, as best it can, and she either has a Timburr on her side or works with them.

"... What's it like, to fly?"

An unusual topic to start off with, but it was something that she kind of admired about Pokemon- their different features. Altaria flew a bit differently than Kilowattrel did, and Kilowattrel flew differently from Frosmoth.

A Pokemon that was a trainer... must be pretty nice.

Rowlet is fine. Dartrix and Decidueye not so much. Rowlet at least has the benefit of being round, though!

As for Altaria, Swablu is a precious baby and so is Altaria. It is one of the few Pokemon lines that don't grow out of their precious baby phase and I admire that about them.

Sprigatito and Floragato I am literally required to love, my best friend trains one. Meowscarada, I am allowed to hate, for the same reasons Pardinus the Floragato refused to evolve further.

Rowlet I've only ever seen once, when I was visiting Unova and I saw a trainer with one, so I'm judging it purely off of looks and I have to say I love it. Never seen Rowlet's evolutions, don't have any opinions on them.

Swablu and Altaria are amazing. I was seriously considering catching one at some point and while that wound up not happening, I still want to cuddle one at some point. Maybe Grusha would let me cuddle his...

yeah so I literally train a Floragato (his name is Pardinus and he says hi) even if I disliked the line beforehand I sure don't anymore! Except Meowscarada, what even is that. I can see why Pardinus didn't evolve past Floragato...

Day ??? (fell behind whoops) - Winona/Lisia’s daughter Kiri!

A skilled coordinator like her mother, Kiri’s poise and confidence has earned her a lot of admirers on the contest circuit. However, offstage she’s actually rather messy and disorganised, and people often don’t recognise her when she’s not in her flashy costumes. Her signature Pokémon is an Altaria who’s actually the child of both her parents’ Altaria!

❄️ “Right on time as always, not even the bad crosswinds slowed you down on that knee today,” Grusha mentioned plainly at the familiar figure of Dendra. While that commentary may come across as brash or rude, it was quite the opposite, coming from the retired athlete.

Though it was only ever brought up subtly in passing, Grusha admired Dendra’s tenacity, and her willingness to not let her injuries dictate what she could and couldn’t do— namely, hiking up Glaseado’s unforgiving slopes for a visit.

Grusha Sobolev, once a well-decorated athlete, felt more like a vessel of arthritis, nerve damage and neuropathy nowadays. He was thankful that his parka hid the way that his legs seemed to shake beneath the pain on the bitter cold mornings.

How fortunate he was that Altaria served as a useful therapy Pokemon. The soft cotton wings were always present as the wispy dragon floated behind him, prepared to catch Grusha if (and when) his legs gave out.

”I want to hear about your new students,” Grusha asked directly. He licked his lips a bit and smiled behind the plush wool of his scarf. Even if nobody could that smile, it was there for his friend.
