Sugarboo with a Scottish accent. Or at least doing one out of habit cuz I’ve always been good at picking up accents since I was a kid and I would do it for my mum and sister all the time.

Love the idea of SB having a Scottish accent, but every once in a while it gets super intense and the other two can't really understand wtf they're saying.

And obviously they would say/spell words differently than the boys at points which they wouldn't get to live down.

"Because-!" Kevin starts but then stops and seems to consider the option that Josten has laid out for him. "What flavors do you like?" Kevin asks eyes narrowing as he looks at Seth.

"I...like...the...flavor of...you...shutting....the...fuck...up." Seth pants because there was no way in hell he was going to accept charity from Kevin Day.

"Vanilla it is." Neil says, and Seth doesn't have the breath so he just flips Neil the bird.

hey, your video compilation of 4chan post about shield is a great ressource for fandom psychology. Interesting to see another user who lurk the wrestling board and use tumblr. Did you ever work on compilation of the tumblr fandom during the peak of the shield era ? I did not research it yet. xoxo

glad someone liked that video, only in times when im super fixated on something will i end up searching through the 4chan archives for more content...unfortunately 4chan vernacular tends to get a laugh out of me (if it isnt absolute lowtier content, had to scrape through a lot of that). the shield stuff i tried to get from when it was at its peak and you'll see posts on there from 2013+, but i also got modern stuff now bc the boardspeak actually changed with it.

ironically it is way easier to deepdive and compile stuff from 4chan bc it has a much better archival system than tumblr; ive also looked for lots of old stuff on deviantart due to the crossover but i found that it has a pretty shitty way of archiving/sorting older posts (just like on here. ive been on tumblr since 13 so i know what sorts of areas to look for, but its still very hard to find it directly on here. i havent spent as much time as i did getting those posts for that video so i can try harder.)

fandom psychology is interesting to me too so im happy you saw my video with that angle. ive collected lots of old shield fangirl content off of sites like weheartit and pinterest (ironically those are often better at keeping images up for longer periods of time) too but i didnt know if i should make a comp, maybe i will. i also looked through random forums and places like lolcow dot farms (which only really granted one of the screenshots...not too much discussion over there for good or bad. i was hoping to find discussion abt shieldfangirls or wrestling rpf but surprisingly they didnt think to make a "point and laugh" thread abt those topics). i find it interesting how much shieldrelated psychosis was on both sides of the spectrum (tumblr vs 4chan)....i could talk more on it but im a little brainless and sleep deprived rn

Anyways I am on my 4th reread of AFTG before I jump into TSC, and Wymack still makes me stop in my tracks.

Everytime I reread I forget how much he truly CARES for his Foxes no matter how much trouble they stir. When Neil punched Riko and Breckinridge told him to get Neil out until he was civil he called Moriyama out and told him to take Riko. Wymack knows who Moriyama is, and he doesn't know the true position of power he has as Kevins father at this point. All he knows is Neil wasn't in a fight by himself and he refused to act like he was. He stands by his Foxes when they won't tell him things, he stands by Andrew and Aaron at their worst moments. He knows them as much as they allow and he takes that and protects it with everything he has. I love joking about Wymacks grey hairs and chronic headaches, but that man truly would go through hell and back for his Foxes no matter how untenable they are. And every single one of his foxes know this to their core. They are his charges, his investments, who he wakes up at 4:30am everyday to prepare to coach, who he drives hours for to protect, who he stays in a city to find, who he handcuffs himself to, who he stocks a fridge full of alcohol for after a horrid loss, who he sits and battles tooth and nail for despite knowing how despondent their cases are. He does everything he can for his foxes, and he refuses to do anything other than full heartedly support and protect them to his best ability EVEN when they piss him off, or lie to him, or disappoint him. He expects no praise, he expects no affection he has a tough exterior and is unused to sentimentality. He is baffled when they all dog pile him when the ERC lets them finish their season, he loves his foxes in his own grumpy protective way.

Betsy is there to put them back together psychologically, Abby is there to tend their wounds and help them physically heal. Wymack is there to be their unwavering pillar of support, to force them to be better, he fiercely pushes them to be better than they were and works them to the bone so that they might finally feel like they have something.

Seth walked in the snow, gravely humming to himself.

He didn’t know how long he’d been walking, but he spotted the lights of a car on the horizon, beginning to jog towards it.

“Hello..?” He called out, wondering if anyone was there. All that responded was a small, barely audible groan.

Walking closer, he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw it. Saw him.

Jonah.

He was covered in claw marks and was shaking from the cold of the snow he lay in, blood oozing from the various wounds. Seth ran up to him and pulled off his jacket, attempting to stem the bleeding. The red bleeding. The human bleeding.

“Shshshh it’s ok Jonah it’s ok… I need you to stay awake for me alright? Stay awake!” Seth spoke, pressing down on the fabric in his hands and wincing when Jonah whined in agony. “I know it hurts, kid.. I know…”

Looking back at the car, Seth gently picked Jonah up and put him in the backseat, looking for a first aid kit. When he found the bare bones semblances of one, it had to do, he began carefully cleaning and patching the injuries, muttering small attempts at comfort.

“...hurts….” Jonah mumbled out, and Seth gently pat his head. “I know, kid… it’ll be over soon.”

“...don’t… wanna die…”

“You’re not gonna die.”

i sorted through the ec for this (covered in blood) but basically kevin's first time was arranged when they were fifteen years old and riko thought they ought to lose their virginity. he picked lydia shetfield, presumably one of the ravens at the time, and kevin reportedly did not like her but knew better not to argue with what riko wanted. here's a few more points from this post

kevin isn't mentioned to have done anything else with anyone, and the only two times he Did sleep with someone it was because riko directly told him to. riko being there for both moments also does not help his case but i don't like thinking too much about it
