sorry but as a black person from the global south being from the global north vs south is an axis of oppression even if you are black. like it doesnt cancel out the black vs nonblack axis but it is still there. you have access to the plundered wealth of the global south in the form of ALL infrastructure and ALL aspects of your economy, and while as a black american you are excluded from that wealth in many ways and it is difficult to access, it is still POSSIBLE to access. like you drive on well paved roads and have (at least on paper, which is way more than we have) access to government services for your benefit. these were funded by the exploitation of black people, yes, but they were also funded by the exploitation of the global south through globalization. it is more difficult for black people to access this wealth, yes, but compare that to black people in the global south, who CANNOT access this wealth. at all.

this conversation really annoys me because there are a bunch of black american bloggers whos opinions i respect arguing a bunch of nonblack bloggers from the global south and the argument is always that it boils down to antiblackness even when the global southerner is specifically talking about the north south divide and not talking about race. like in much the same way that individual white people arent responsible for racism individual global northerners are not responsible for the exploitation of the global south but it is still a privilege and i am quite tired of people acting like the issue is antiblackness and not the very real question of 'would being in the global south improve or worsen my material conditions' because like thats a very clear cut answer.

Hey I saw your south german-american Thalia and Jason grace post and I wanted to ask if you had any more headcanons around it? I've always loved the German American Grace family headcanons but there's not a lot of content with it

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoy the headcanons ^^ Now to be quite honest, I don't really have much more on them. Mostly because at this point I prefer my german-american Luke headcanon. Though if I had to come up a few it's probably just a lot of angst from Jason. I mean...Thalia at least had some time to know her german side. She knows the basics of the culture and speaks the language. The "Servus" from the original post for example being a friendly greeting in south Germany which I think she would use. But Jason? He may aswell not be German at all. Besides some light language tics like a hard "R" or throaty "such" he has nothing. Not even his own name remains as it was supposed to be, having been changed to the English pronunciation. He's Roman, not German. And I think that would so, so tragic. Especially on top with his whole identity issues caused by the amnesia. Just imagine having to find out that not only did you lose your memories, but you also had a whole facet of your identity stolen from you. Thalia would be fine if she got dropped in Germany tomorrow, Jason would be completely lost. He doesn't even know the language. Just imagine Jason finding out he's partially German and attempting to learn it, only to fail horribly. German is a complicated language and frankly said, a torture to learn (if the tales of my friends with German as a second language). Or Jason trying to somehow connect to the culture only to find himself as a complete loss. German culture is multifaceted and very catholic in the south. Someone raised at CJ would probably have his troubles really understanding it. And this isn't even mentioning that in the very old traditions and communities, Jason most certainly would feel like an outsider. Would be an outsider, considering how most people would have partaken and been in these communities ever since they were born.

Women are monsters.

I, too, have been blinded by the false narative that women are somehow inherently innocent or victims.

(Meanwhile men are somehow either guilty or not guilty yet)

Women are disproportionatly affected by some physical crimes, but that doesn't make them any less violent selfcentered monsters.

And especially when a person has internalised the belive that they are inherently victim, they stop thinking about how and if they are/could be causing harm.

(See terfs and trfs as obvious examples)

Especially in othervise priviledged individuals, that's a dangerous mindset. (Because unchecked priviledge, I don't think I have to explain that)

The point is, all humans are born with the capabilities to cause harm. And EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE of us needs to put in the time and do the work to becoming reasonable, communicative and harmless adults.

Not harmless in the sense that you can't harm, but in the sense that you can, but are actively chosing not to.

And if you think that individual women can't hurt individual men because patriarchy exists, then you are disillusioned. Heck, women can even use patriarchy itself against men. And they have and they do. Yet (larger) society barly holds them to any responsibility or consequences. (unlike men, who might get peer group approval depending on the peer group, but not larger societal approval for their violence, be it verbal or physical)
