As someone who is very much into (indie and niche) fragrance and Pirates of the Caribbean, here are my scent picks for some characters absolutely nobody asked for:
Elizabeth Swann: Juliette Has A Gun - Vanilla Vibes (Sea salt, natural vanilla absolute, orchid absolute, absolute brown musk, bezoin absolute, sandalwood, tonka bean)
This is basically just a salty vanilla perfume and I’m all here for it; it’s beachy, light and totally pre-Pirate King Elizabeth.
For more of an indie choice, I’d pick Death & Floral’s “I could never stay long enough on the shore” (sand, salty air, smoke, cold coastline). It’s been a while since I’ve smelled this one but it feels fitting. But tbh, any white floral scent would also fit CotBP Elizabeth - so maybe something like Cloon Keen’s Lá Bealtaine.
Pirate King Elizabeth would absolutely rock something challenging like Beaufort’s Terror & Magnificence (birch tar, black pepper, saffron, incense, tobacco, papyrus, haitian vetiver, myrrh, labdanum, benzoin and pebbles).
Will Turner: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab - Asleep in the Deep (black plum, sea salt, opium tar accord, labdanum, and indigo benzoin)
Basically the dark and heavy counterpart to Elizabeth’s Vanilla Vibes, truly smells like you’re on the Dutchman in between realms.
Jack Sparrow: For Jack, I feel like anything remotely boozy with rum notes works, but if I had to name one scent, I’d pick Stranger Perfumery’s Cigar Rum (raisin, dried fruits (prune and cherry), rum absolute, mandarin, amber, tobacco, oakwood, vetiver, resins, labdanum absolute, seaweed absolute). Maybe layer that with a dirt single note or Fantôme - Bune (damp subterranean air, nagarmotha, smooth cave walls, davana, a cold marble altar, & glittering green dragon scales) for authenticity lol.
Hector Barbossa: Solstice Scents - Headmaster (Apple, bourbon, oak, cedar, pipe tobacco, applewood, amber, spices)
I just felt like I needed to pick a spicy, woody scent with apple notes in it. But any dark aquatic works too.
James Norrington: I associate James with any light aquatic or clean scents (at least when he’s not in his Scruffington Era), so I’d choose something like Solstice Scent’s Gulf Breeze (Saltwater, sand, seashells, sea oats, rain, ambergris (vegan accord).
Cutler Beckett: Histoires de Parfums - 1740 (bergamot, mugwort, patchouli, coriander, cardamom, cedar, birch, labdanum, leather, vanilla, elemi, helichrysum)
Idk, this is just giving off Cutler Beckett energy. It’s boozy, it’s rich, it’s dramatic.
And somehow The House on Widow’s Hill (brandy, old oak paneling, dusty thick carpets, a thread of incense & a roaring fire in the hearth) by Pulp Fragrance also fits. That one’s basically brandy, smoke and dusty carpets in a bottle. On second thought, that might also work for Papa Swann.
I also feel like a tea scent would suit Beckett, but only if it’s a bit heavier, so maybe something like Gris Charnel by bdk (fig, black tea, cardamom essence, iris absolute, bourbon vetiver, indian sandalwood, tonka bean absolute). …But I haven’t smelled that one in a while too.
Davy Jones: Zoologist - Squid (Pink Pepper, Solar Salicylate, Incense, Black Ink Accord, Salty Accord, Opoponax, Ambergris, Benzoin, Musk)
Pretty self-explanatory. On my skin, it’s very musk-forward though.
Ian Mercer: Beaufort - Tonnerre (smoke, gunpowder, blood, brandy, sea spray and citrus)
…Yeah, I guess that one’s also pretty self-explanatory.
Yup, that’s it. Make of that what you will.

。˚ 𓆤 ˚。 MUSE AESTHETICS
fill out with 3-5 items / aesthetics that fit your muse for each category . repost, do not reblog .
emotions / feelings
confidence . The Lord’s Blade is nothing if not assured. Ciaran knows her self-worth, is wholly aware of her capabilities and limitations. She is satisfied with the work she undertakes, the connections she has made and her position under Lord Gwyn. For the most part, she is centred and composed. daring . To be a Knight of Gwyn, and a leader of a guild of assassins, requires boldness and intrepidity. Contained though she is, Ciaran is bold when it is required of her, and will face foes many times her size and strength without hesitation. pride . Although not inclined to bragging, she is proud of her achievements – of the rank she has attained and reputation she has garnered, of becoming the only female Knight of Gwyn, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the most skilled and noble warriors alive. vindictive . Don’t think for a minute Ciaran is above bearing a grudge or acting spitefully. There is a malice that is inherent to the assassin, and she unsheathes it when it suits her, when her paths cross with one she believes deserving of her ill will. withdrawn . Although a Knight of Gwyn, Ciaran is somewhat removed from the fold – such is the secretive and underhand nature of her work, and the fact that she also holds the tenure as the Lord’s Blade. Her duty is not only to Lord Gwyn, but to the assassins who train and work beneath her. It is in her nature to remain guarded, to value her personal space, to trust only a few.
colours
amber . The assassin’s eyes are a rich saffron shade, all golden and honeyed tones. crimson . For the blood she spills, that so often stipples the smooth expanse of her porcelain mask. gold . Elegant streaks paint the air, following the lethal lines of her gold tracer. A colour significant to her home, a city of sunlight. lavender-violet . Reminiscent of Lord Artorias’ soul. Unbeknownst to Ciaran, hers is of a similar shade, a muted purple-grey flare with a spark of pale gold flickering at its core. smalt blue . The deep, smoky blue of her garb, a colour that helps her meld with the shadows, leaving the pale face of her mask luminescent.
scents
blood . Death is her trade, and she is proficient in her butchery. Metallic and unmistakable, beneath all the notes and layers of Ciaran’s scent there is blood and something akin to decay. clove . Springing from the mineral oil that she uses to sharpen the edges of her innumerable blades, her collection of daggers and knives meticulously and lovingly cared for. perfume . An exquisite, expensive scent that is spicy, woody and faintly floral all at once, blending orange blossom, honey, winter berries, cinnamon, tuberose, pepper, plum, anise, ylang-ylang, labdanum and opoponax. smoke . Reverent and subservient to the gods, the musky aroma of religious incense clings to the assassin, along with the primal scent of woodfire smoke. wine . Her preference is for red, full-bodied and dark, with notes of blackberry, dark cherry, fig and tobacco.
objects
bed . Towering, wide and sumptuous, it was built with taller demigods in mind and dominates her chambers. At the end of each mission, Ciaran savours sinking her aching, naked body into its softness, losing herself in a sea of sheets and blankets. porcelain mask . Blank and unreadable, pale and distant as the moon, cold as bone, a porcelain tundra in place of a face. signet ring . Emblazoned with a hornet, it is the symbol of her position as a Knight of Gwyn, a recognition of all her efforts stretching back to the War of Fire and earlier. twin tracers . The gold and dark silver tracers are the most beloved weapons in Ciaran’s extensive arsenal, and they are her first choice when it comes to dispensing death in the name of Lord Gwyn. The assassin has formed an emotional attachment with them, and those close to her might know that she refers to them as her errant daughters. vials . Ornate bottles and jars rattle in drawers and pepper the polished surfaces of Ciaran’s chambers. Some are innocuous elixirs, their petite vessels filled with oil, perfume or healing draughts. Other substances have been blended with harm in mind, and house draughts that are highly flammable, corrosive, or poisonous.
body language
at ease . Those deemed close and trustworthy enough to see her stripped of her Lord’s Blade garb, who are permitted to map the constellations of freckles on her bare face, may be witness to a considerably less formal and guarded facet of Ciaran’s being. When free from her duties, she unwinds her braided hair, golden tresses falling free in a wavy tumble, often pulled forward over one shoulder. eyes . For a woman whose facial features are often obscured, it’s all in those discerning eyes framed by her mask. Ciaran is perceptive, attentive to her surroundings. She isn’t afraid to make unwavering eye contact, nor to scrape her gaze over another person’s form, to drink deep of their expressions and read their body language even as she obfuscates her own. poise . For all her neutrality of expression, Ciaran typically stands square and tall – as tall as her short stature permits, at least – her body coiled and primed for action, carrying herself with unmistakable authority and confidence. reverence . Ciaran is deferent to those she serves, respectful of the divines whose noble company she keeps. No stranger to prayer, she bows her head in holy spaces. stealth . It is second nature that she keep her own body language largely inscrutable. A diminutive demigod, she is unrevealing and stealthy, and possesses an uncanny ability to conduct herself in near silence, to fade away into the background.
aesthetics
blades . Knives and daggers, forged from all manners of material, coming in a myriad of shapes and sizes. Beautiful and functional, the assassin boasts a fine and expansive collection, their razor silhouettes glinting like teeth. hornets . This unbeloved insect is the one that Ciaran feels most kinship, a frightful stinging creature, at home within a humming nest populated primarily by females. The assassin is also drawn to moths – the walls of her chambers have some particularly impressive species pinned and framed – and is not immune to the beauty of fireflies collected in glass jars, nor to the spiders who so expertly weave webs. shadows . The Lord’s Blades cloak themselves in shadow, unseen and omnipresent. They are deeps wells brimming with secrets, they are the final moments before death, the light dying in a target’s eyes. stinging / burning sensations . Both physical and emotional. It might be from the kiss of her tracer, or the prick of an uncensored remark. Ciaran is made up of many sharp edges and she is not in the habit of tempering them for anyone. wildflowers . There is almost always a vase of these in her room and, just as she harbours tenderness for the most unloved of creatures, her favoured flowers are those that go overlooked for their toxic properties. Foxglove, monkshood, poison hemlock, lords-and-ladies and deadly nightshade frequently keep the assassin company, perfuming the still air of her chambers.

ABADDON(APOLLYON)
Enn:Es na ayer Abaddon avage
Other names:Appolyon, Apollyon, Appolion, Abbadan, Abbaton, Abadon
Originally, Abaddon was a place and not an angel or being. In rabbinic writings and the Old Testament, Abaddon is primarily a place of destruction and a name for one of the regions of Gehenna (see Hell). The term occurs six times in the Old Testament. In Proverbs 15:11 and 27:20, it is named with Sheol as a region of the underworld. In Psalm 88:11, Abaddon is associated with the grave and the underworld.
Abaddon (Apollyon) is the angel of death, destruction, and the netherworld. The name Abaddon is derived from the Hebrew term for “to destroy” and means “place of destruction.” Apollyon is the Greek name.
In magic Abaddon is often equated with Satan and Samael. His name is evoked in conjuring spells for malicious deeds. Abaddon is the prince who rules the seventh hierarchy of demons, the Erinyes, or Furies, who govern powers of, discord, war, and devastation.
In Job 26:6, Abaddon is associated with Sheol. Later, Job 28:22 names Abaddon and Death together, implying personified beings. In Revelation 9:10, Abaddon is personified as the king of the abyss, the bottomless pit of hell. Revelation also cites the Greek version of the name, Apollyon, probably a reference to Apollo, Greek god of pestilence and destruction.
Abaddon destroys false illusions and masks, however once the truth is revealed the foundation of truth is planted. He transforms the energy and core power can rise from the depth of our soul. Abaddon reveals the practitioners core power just as he crushes and destroys. The practitioners courage comes out a destroys the illusions. He is a powerful guide and imitates the journey through the depth of darkness. The journey of the abyss is one of countless trials and lessons. Abaddon is one is an incredible teacher and Advisor and reveals the truth of the dark depth within.
Call upon Abaddon for
⬩Courage
⬩Destroy false illusions
⬩Destroy masks
⬩Transformation
⬩Truth within even ones we don't wish to hear
⬩Ask him what else he will work with you on⬩

Sigil:Posted above
Plant:Chamomile, Calendula, Aloe, Elder, Tillandsia Xerographica, African Blackwood, Walnut, Eucalyptus
Incense:Black Copal, Benzoin, Dragons Blood, Labdanum, Opoponax
⬩Red, black, purple, metallic grey, silver candles or objects
⬩Ask Abaddon what he likes⬩
⬩It is important to learn protections before trying to work with any spirits. You can get tricksters and parasites if you don't.
Cleansings- cleaning your space of negative energies. You can burn herbs or incense for this.
Banishings- forcing negative energies out of your space. The lesser banishing ritual is one of the most commonly used.
Warding- wards keep negative energy out of your space. Amulets, sigils and talismans do this.
Set up a your space and do a cleanse and banishing. Have wards up in your home. Meditation is to calm yourself and get your mind ready. The sigil (symbol) is what you draw on paper. The enn is what you chant or say to call forth the spirit.⬩

Fuck You, Said the Raven Perfume Oil
“Hey,” said Shadow. “Huginn or Muninn, or whoever you are.” The bird turned, head tipped, suspiciously, on one side, and it stared at him with bright eyes. “Say ‘Nevermore,'” said Shadow. “Fuck you,” said the raven.” Glossy black, rough, and gravelly: violet-gilded opoponax, black patchouli, myrrh, and oak leaf.

Soo... Question ya know how everyone has like there own scent what would the guys smell like..?🐽👀 lol! Am just curious ..!! I hope my Question doesn't seem. weird 😭 (like cologne perfume??)
-poppy flower anon
🏵️
Fun fact! Mod Bunni has anosmia, which means she has no sense of smell. So Mod Cat will be taking care of this one!
Allar— definitely has sweet tones to him. He doesn't like to have his natural scent stick out often, so he uses sweet perfumes like candy or pastries. Cotton candy is the main scent he usually uses!
Louie— he uses cheap colognes most of the time. Nothing that assaults the nostrils, though. Bergamot, oak, stuff like that. But it barely covers up the smell of smoke that lingers on his clothing.
Mica— uses expensive and very niche colognes. Definitely the type to use cologne that has a rusty undertone. Sanguine. Usually smells very good and fresh!
Josh— probably has the most "masculine" scent out of these guys! He also uses cheap cologne, but the type that doesn't fully cover up his natural musk. Not in a gross way, though!
And just for fun, I picked out some perfumes/colognes that I think they'd smell most like!

recently i've been getting into notes that are less sweet and gourmand.... idk i'll always be a vanilla girl at heart, but as we approach the fall and the weather is perfect for wearing louder fragrances i've been really leaning more into deeper, more complex scents that tell more of a story on my skin. i feel it's also a symptom of getting older and shedding the more comfortable parts of me to continue in the path of the becoming the woman that i am
notes i'm leaning towards rn:
incense, myrrh
oud
woods
earth, clay
new perfumes i'm enjoying:
armani/prive oud royal
notes: agarwood, incense, sandalwood, saffron, rose
profile: unisex
with oud... if you get it, you get it. this smells super similar to bakhoor. smoky, sweet, sexy, spicy. perfect for a breezy night.
byredo slow dance
notes: (top) opoponax, cognac, (middle) labdanum, violet, geranium, (base) vanilla, patchouli, incense
profile: unisex
boozy, spiced dessert with lovely florals. it leans a bit on the sweet side, which i would love to try layering with more woody and green scents for balance.
alkemia silken tent
notes: candied angelica, chrysanthemum, nardo, jasmine-scented rice pudding, blonde caramel, golden amber
profile: feminine
the herbs are mouthwatering. i seriously cannot stop smelling myself whenever i wear this one. i did have to let it age for a bit for the rice pudding note to come in, but once it did, it was creamy without being too sweet. 10/10.

First candle making
for a while i have wanted to make an upcycled product for design 2 of my permaculture dip so the aim is to make a bunch of these and make them seasonally with seasonal wildflowers
i just wanted to test it though with some rose petals i had. the candle is 100% natural beeswax and is scented with benzoin resin, opoponax, frankincense, cedarwood, and neroli essential oils
it could have been a bit more strongly scented and i lost a bit of the beeswax to evaporation. however otherwise overall i am pretty pleased with how it turned out though i havent lit it yet.
i actually buried a tarot reading at the base of this candle so that the idea is when it burns down you can reveal the reading. maybe i will have forgotten what i wrote by then but idk, it is for my mum so intended as a nice present.
also pure beeswax looks luscious, just saying. really excited to burn this and make some more :) also hoping to investigate the spirituality of the oils and flowers i use 🦋
