Hello everyone! :D
no kink/fetish/nsfw/18+ only blogs! This blog is run by a MINOR.
My name is River, and some of you may know me from my other blogs or my most active one ( @just-a-lil-otter )! This is kinda just a sfw blog I made outta boredom and to show off my tickle related art, fics, ideas, and just like general tickle stuff since my main blog is about my art and thoughts and stuff
I really like the sfw tickle community and it is a big comfort to me so I'm glad to be here
Posting will be slow and random! I don't make a whole lot of tickle art/fics anymore so this'll mainly just be me ranting and reblogging stuff but I will make fics and art occasionally!!
Current hyperfixations: Eddsworld, OLC, SIGV, spooky month
Requests are open! :D

After this entry, you know what’s now making me pull my hair out? Other than last year’s frustration over the refusal of any hints from Van Helsing or allowing any sort of aid from anyone but him and Jack? It’s the idea that none of them have pointed out the element of time when Lucy loses blood.
Why always at night, doctors? Why does post-sundown sleep = blood loss? We know Van Helsing has guessed why, but Jack—who has already connected dots with Renfield’s mood swings and their odd hours—hasn’t bothered to truly poke at the situation. How much of a difference might be made if they just suggested a temporary change of sleep schedule (ala Jonathan’s unbitten nocturnal months)?
It wouldn’t be a fix, but it’d be better than just having everyone lose sleep or forcing Lucy to run out the clock every night waiting to doze into a Mystery Hemorrhage.

tbh an important part of my take on the 'don't be like Sentinel' question is that hours earlier D16 had very decidedly assumed leadership of the High Guard, after which any attempt at resolving his very understandable personal trauma via murder was also, on a wider affects-everyone/your-new-power-means-something scale, inherently going to count as a military coup.
yknow. the thing Sentinel did to assume power/hand it over to the quintessons in the first place
#like you don't get to Be A Leader/wield power and also gratify your personal wishes/needs first and foremost#I feel like is an important part of the movie's whole ethos#sure Sentinel managed it for a bit but the point is it was unsustainable and he lost it again#tf one#transformers one#Megatron#d 16#Sentinel Prime#and tbf Orion's choice to ally with the high guard was also always gonna cause problems but in terms of like. people's general safety#it was also undoubtedly the preferable option compared to 'lets allow them to take point/call the shots'#cause the thing is honestly genuinely#if D16 had either turned his back on the high guard OR enlisted and then disobeyed orders to go after sentinel#then Orion would've been on waaaay shakier ground if he objected#cause in the kind of society they were living in vigilante justice/isolated terrorism/whatever you want to call it#would be no great sin against the ruling powers. like the 'left with no other option' argument definitely would have stood#but like. ORION is the one who's actually engaging in that shit. because he's not decided 'im the commander of an army now'#he's the commander of like. a terrorist cell made of miners. they're not a military organisation with training or much of a power structure#and meanwhile D16 is like 'this is my army now' which. okay cool but that means you are Not anything approaching a vigilante anymore#you get that right#stop operating on the assumption that that's what you are#you REPRESENT an established power structure now you're not just fighting one

I'm probably going to post about this on the MW subreddit, but I still find it pretty hilarious that most fans assume the "struggles" Jimbalaya was dealing with back on Earth were related to criminal acts (usually in order to demonize Curly) meanwhile most of the pieces of clues I've gathered from the HFIM dlc and the QnAs we got about the characters' lives have lead me to believe Jimbalaya's struggles were about poverty.
In the HFIM dlc we're pretty clearly playing a fish version of Jimbalaya, and the whole game is about how a capitalistic system ruins people (fish) and those that climb up help perpetuate the system and those that go down just get eaten. So it's pretty interesting to me that Jimbalaya fish even after consuming other fish and items... keeps going down.
But it was the third QnA that sealed it for me. Curly's hobbies are around a lot of friends and family that he could join interesting things. And of course play snow sports in Winter. Winter snow sports... which let's be honest is a pretty expensive hobby to have. Meanwhile, Jimbalaya can't afford any hobbies other than joining one with Curly.
I think this kinda just adds more fuel for Jimbalaya to both envy yet aspire to be like Curly.
I dunno, it's just fascinating to me watching so many fans claim the "struggles" were so obviously to do with crime when most of the current evidence I noticed seems to point towards money related issues.

I think both are valid and valuable interpretations that’s the MW fandom makes but I think the major problem with it is the severity in which they make Jimmy out to be every factor wrong with men in society.
Like I think it’s interesting to use the idea he has some record, misdemeanors/petty stuff, that has complied to make his life more difficult. It’s all his own doing for his entitlement and general behavior but it can also be used to comment on Capitalism banking on desperation and envy. A lot of his actions are desperate because he knows his crimes on the Tulpar will make it virtually to climb any ladder, anywhere anymore due to their weight. Like in the end the problem is undeniably how the proverbial rat race creates environments that fosters Jimmy’s and creates ineffective systems like Curly represents.
Curly on the other hand benefits from the corporate part of it with his financial freedom, stability and prestige but he too is socially stagnant, deeply unhappy in the identities placed on to him and unrecognizable as anything other than a cog in the machine. I think this goes in tandem with the other members too as the identities placed onto them in the scenario all represent stages in capitalism and class discrepancies: Anya represents largely marginalized identities (particularly women in blue collar fields/harassment) and how they ultimately have to fend for themselves. Daisuke a sort of perception of both a class between Curly and the rest, protected no matter the effects of the establishment due to his home life but at the same time he is the metaphorical future gen, things stripped from him as the older generations squabble amongst themselves in private conversations leaving him unequipped. Then there’s Swansea being sort of those who have lived through it, knowing how it ends but ultimately still lack the skills, resources and want to change it, letting it cycle.
The entire thing with Jimmy circles back to the fandom ultimately wanting easy solutions to the events in the games, a face to blame and a weird black and white thinking to issues that are dangerous to view that way.
#an off tangent that is semi related is the idea of the crash happened Curly deserved some punishment I see in the fandom and while I agree#he needs to reflect and possibly build back the trust Anya lost in him the idea completely ignores the struggles he faced and the abuse he#faced and it’s like again the entire absolving the abuse of an imperfect victim as a factor in their behavior#but back to the ask the game tackles so many things and tries to not make it one note or stereotypical but conversations lead to that cuz#too many people are unwilling to admit how subjective good choices are and how environment affects places a big part in how we deal with#situations like everyone says what they will do and would but no one sits and thinks of the way it would be in the situation with the#dynamics at play and can’t see the other lenses or metaphors#mouthwashing#🌟 anon#ask#mouthwashing game#curly mouthwashing#jimmy mouthwashing#anya mouthwashing#swansea mouthwashing#daisuke mouthwashing#also if I get asks about Jimmy can you just use his name like a big part of why I think people can’t properly#engage in this game is the decentering of Jimmy as the main character and main perpetrator like he is the ultimate reason everything gets so#bad and no one wants to talk about him outside of we know he’s bad already like it’s immature and why guys can get away with it as we focus#on the men that don’t stop them and not stopping the men that do or their mentalities past a surface level amount of disdain#like say his name show his face don’t let him slip through the cracks like the game tries to show you he did#his whole mode of operation is in the dark and out of sight and it’s still perpetuating that because you refuse to show him#at least on my in box I’ll talk about him and analyze him and I would prefer if we didn’t speak about him like a forbidden word cause that’s#how the assault of victims gets looked or glossed over when you don’t say what it is or who did in all seriousness

One of my favorite small things from Jet Lag Tag 3 is just the existence of terrible Trenitalia ticket machines causing them to miss trains, because this was my exact experience as a tourist in 2019 that set off a train of events that landed me stranded in Pisa at midnight and splitting a cab to Florence with strangers

Idk who wants to hear this- but I personally hc that McCoy’s parents in OLC are like Clay and Blobertta from Morel Orel- idk if that’s what they intended or not but they give those vibes

I am absolutely obsessed with this mf rn and I HAD to make some content of him istg
If you don't know who General McCoy is I HIGHLY recommend checking out both the Operation Lost Cause tumblr blog and website!
General McCoy tickle hcs
Ler
Not really ticklish, but is kinda ticklish on his sides and behind his ears
Depsite his age and cold exterior he can be a very sweet and playful ler
Teases relentlessly
I think he'd make dumb puns to make the Lee laugh more
"What's wrong, Kiddo? Something tickling your funny bone? Awww, you're all giggly!"
He gives off intimidating but sweet father figure energy
Has a soft and sweet grandpa laugh that's very heartwarming
He's rarely a lee since he's able to hear the person coming and tickle them first, plus he doesn't trust easily
But if you're able to sneak up on him and get him good he'll probably squirm quite a bit
but expect some revenge later
Always makes sure the Lee is ok after and is actually pretty good at comforting

Okay no I need to talk about the book version of Howl's Moving Castle. I love the movie but the book has such a different vibe and you, yes you, should read it.
Movie Howl is a soulful and quiet. Book Howl is a drama queen and Causing Problems and has a long string of jilted exes and couldn't shut up if you paid him.
Sophie and Howl drive each other up the wall at the beginning and it's really funny. Sophie and Howl are (despite themselves) very much in love by the end and they still drive each other up the wall and it's even funnier.
In the movie, Howl has been ordered by the king to participate in The War, and Howl is avoiding it because he is a brave conscientious objector. In the book, Howl has been ordered by the king to rescue his lost brother from the Witch of the Wastes, and Howl is avoiding it by any means necessary because he is a cowardly weasel who wants to stay as far from the Witch as possible.
In the movie, the Witch cursed Sophie because she was jealous about Howl speaking to Sophie for five minutes. In the book, the Witch cursed Sophie because Sophie had been doing surprisingly powerful magic for years without knowing it and it was actually starting to cut into the Witch's plans. (Sophie does not discover any of this until nearly the end of the book, but the reader can start to pick it up much earlier and the way Sophie's magic works is pretty darn cool.)
In the movie, there's a rumor that Howl eats the hearts of maidens, but this is implied to be nothing but nasty fearmongering. In the book, there's a rumor that Howl eats the hearts of maidens because Howl started the rumor so people would stop asking him to do wizard junk all the time.
The book lightly parodies a couple of tropes from Western fairy tales. In particular Sophie has internalized that, as the eldest of three sisters, her "destiny" is to fail so that her younger sisters will look cooler when they succeed, which is why she's so resigned to the hat shop at the beginning. (Sidebar: Sophie's sisters come up much more in the book and they're great.) There's also a really funny bit where Sophie attempts to operate a pair of seven-league boots.
In the movie, the fourth and final location that the magic door connects to is some sort of black void / mindscape / time portal dealy. In the book the fourth location is Wales, in the UK, on Earth, so that Howl can visit his family, because from Howl's perspective this is an isekai story.
