welcome to the opera of omens! prepare yourself for a dramatic retelling of the tragic tale of The Banshee.

The Banshee's tale has been told since the opera house was first built, and their first performance interrupted by a terrible shriek.

as the tale goes, she haunts this very opera house and kills any who dare take over the spotlight. if you hear her shriek or call your name, it is a dire omen of death.

first, let's meet our wonderful leading ladies, ophelia and olivia! unfortunately, ophelia has met with tragedy and is our murder victim. both women are the daughters of the opera house's owner, and ophelia was always the star of the show while olivia was star of the dancers. once very close, they've grown apart.

next, the orchestra! meet orville o'byron, chester clarke, and raquel reed! of course, they are only a few members of the orchestra, but they are prime suspects! orville refuses to tell you anything about that ring, chester is quiet and only feels comfortable speaking to her girlfriend raquel, and raquel has a mysterious injury over her eye, as well as a missing eyebrow piercing.

next, meet one of our amazing ballet dancers, and the previous owner of the opera house! christine clarke is chester's eldest sister, and seems to dislike the osbornes despite dancing for the opera.

octavia osborne is ophelia and olivia's mother, but unfortunately she passed away two years ago, leaving the opera house entrusted to ophelia.

finally, the true stars of the show, sally spears and detective grimoire! they dressed in their finest evening attire for the opera, but ended up being thrown into another murder mystery.

and of course, this show won't be over until the bat lady sings.

Nothing beats the “forced intimacy because one of them is hurt” trope in fanfics. Nothing. Ya hear me? I will lap it all up like the pathetic hungry bitch I am.

She has a broken finger and cannot get out of her corset? Of course the dark and mysterious man will die of embarrassment and lust while helping her (I’m looking at you @wheel-of-fish )

He has a broken rib and cannot shower? Of course his lumberjack friend will help him, but he will be oddly blushing and clumsy in the process (I’m looking at you @summerofspock )

I hoard these moments like small treasures and they bring me so. Much. Joy.

there's just something so painfully delicious about giving into desire but denying yourself the one part of it you want most.

at some point i will write the fic where they don't talk to each other post s2 except to argue and once they reach a certain point they fuck because hey, we're already a mess, how much worse can it get?

aziraphale is starved for pleasure because heaven is sterile and empty, and crowley is desperate for comfort and familiarity, so they each get something vital out of it; it's too good to stop.

but.

crowley does draw one line, one boundary he refuses to cross, and that's kissing. mind you, aziraphale wants to kiss him again and again and again, but crowley knows that once he kisses him again he will lose himself in it (or rather that's what he's scared of). he wants to, god, he wants to. but he doesn't

sex, yes, but nothing soft, nothing truly emotionally intimate. crowley bites back every moan that's suspiciously shaped like aziraphale's name and keeps the angel's mouth busy so he doesn't have to hear him gasp his own. they part immediately after, crowley runs because that's what he is good at, he flees or makes aziraphale leaves, and he hates himself for it a little bit more every time he does.

they don't kiss but every once in a while their faces end up close together, so close they're breathing the same air, and it would barely take a flinch to nudge their lips together. the temptation becomes harder to resist and yet crowley closes his eyes and pulls back without fail.

once they kiss, he thinks, then aziraphale will have everything he wants. once he has everything he wants, he won't come back; they'll be done. every time he repeats it to himself it sounds more like the truth and less like a lie, and someone help him, but he'd rather have scraps and touch and skin on skin than nothing at all.

(while they have their gay little issues going on everyone else solves the apocalypse and watches them from afar like

"someone should tell them they're being idiots"

"nah they wouldn't believe you, they will get there eventually."

"i give them two weeks"

"i give them five days")

(it takes them months but once they get there the wave of relief and release is strong enough to cause a two day blackout in the entire london area)

At first thank you for the amazing work! I love this page. I saw Phantom of the Opera yesterday and the character reminded me of Crowley. That’s why I’m asking if there is any crossovers between these two storys? Maybe Crowley is the Phantom and Aziraphale Christine? Or something like that.
